20 Best Sports Bra For Large Breasts Running (2023 Updated)

I wear a size 50 I. These are the BEST bras that I have found that lift & support. However, sadly, I have had trouble with hooks bending outwards so it cannot latch. For some reason, it is always the 4th hook (5 hook bra).

I use pliers to pinch the hook back in so it can catch the loop, but after a few times of doing this, the hook becomes too weak & bends even more easily outward or ends up breaking. My most recent purchase of this bra, only after wearing two times, the hook bent.

So, it’s not happening because the hooks are too “old” from wear. I’m not sure what the problem is, because some of the exact same bras I wear have not done this. It must be a manufacturing error in some of the hooks, since it doesn’t happen on all of the bras??? It is very disappointing, because #1 these are the only bras I prefer to wear due to how supportive they are; and #2 the bra costs $51, and it’s not worth the price if the hooks are not reliable.

This was my first tomboyx product and my first for compressing my chest. I wanted this pattern for the emo skater-aesthetic. Boy howdy, this thing binds well and wicks away sweat. Not uncomfy, and it keeps everything in place.

It took about an hour to get used to the fit after wearing a traditional bra for years. It brought my C cups to an A at most. So, if you’re new to this and the pattern caught your eye, I’d say to give this a try.

I made sure to take my measurement before ordering these bras. These bras are made very small. When I went to return them to the Ottawa – Trainyards Sail store, the two young ladies at the customer service were rude.

I tried to explain my issue but did not listen to what I had to say. Also, why did she open the second bra bag. Very bad customer service.

As a full bust 36DDD with a medium frame, I had been researching the best supportive sports bras that would also reduce bouncing during HIIT workouts. I have a standard pullover medium support champion(in a much smaller size to hold me in) that I purchased on sale to have as a backup to my old faithful Under Armor s.

b. that I was too afraid to wear much in case i never found anything that gave the same support. The only negative with the UA s. b. was that it was like a houdini act to get in and out of and the side boob spillage is ridiculous.

This particular champion sports bra came up in many google searches but I wasn’t convinced. I just happened to be in Academy and decided to look for it and try it on. Once I nailed down my size a 34DD (no DDD 🙁 ), i had never felt so secure in a sports bra not even in my UA bra (FYI-the new collection doesn’t really support extra busty gals).

I was over the moon that not only did I have something that packed me in tight but offered a good amount of bounce reduction. There was a little bit of spillage from the sides and a little bounce but the level of support is so good that its not very noticeable during workouts or a dealbreaker in deciding to purchase.

It does press you down a bit but that’s what I was looking for so I am fine with that because it makes me feel extra secure. Besides, it’s a sports bra not a shaping lacy Wacoal bra. The only bummer was that when I went to try on the more colorful cotton-like version of this bra, the sizing was not the same.

Since it took me about 40 minutes and several different styles and sizes to nail down my perfect size, I was over the idea of repeating that process and was ready to head home. When I have more time and energy I will be going back to nail down my size because the option of colorful sports bras, not just black or white, makes my eyes twinkle.

Overall, I recommend that this bra be purchased in store to make sure you are able to determine your correct size. Make sure you try on both the microfiber and the cotton-like fabrics to assess your size since there is a difference in sizing between the two materials.

This mishap from champion is not enough for you to rule this bra out because it is really great once you find your size. The hook closure has eliminated my magic act and gives me more time to focus on the workout then if my head or a rabbit will be popping out of the top of the bra first.

The adjustable straps are a major plus as well as the comfort shoulder straps. Also, the higher neckline provides some extra coverage and reduces (almost eliminates) top boob spillage. I was not disappointed and if you spend the time you will not be either! *sorry this was SO long but i wanted to put everything out there because I had to go through multiple reviews and blogs to find the info so just wanted to eliminate that hassle for someone else.

I’m a marathoner, so I need a good sports bra that really supports the girls and doesn’t chafe or get uncomfortable on long runs. My old favorite bra died and needed replaced. After trying MANY different styles from different stores, I finally found this one.

It is wonderful and exactly what I was looking for. The bra is breathable and doesn’t chafe. It is very supportive. It doesn’t flatten my chest somewhat, but I don’t necessarily consider that a negative because it’s a sports bra.

I’m buying it for running, not everyday wear. Also, it doesn’t give me a weird, uniboob shape, so that’s a plus. I bought one of these bras and wore it for a few runs, both long and short, both inside on the treadmill and outside on the road.

I liked it so much, that I have since bought two more of them. Definitely worth the money. and cheaper than some of the other bras I bought that didn’t work before I found this one. I’ll probably be buying a few more in the future.

Love how soft this sports bralette feels on my skin. The shipping was quick and I couldn’t wait to wear it. The fit is wonderful. I hardly know I’m wearing it and it has good support which is hard to find in a bralette of any kind.

This bra doesn’t seem like an exercise bra because it is so comfortable. No wiggling it down through your arms and over your head. Easy on and off! I wear sometimes to work or on casual days because it fits so well and is comfortable all day.

Haven’t used it for super strenuous exercise, because that’s not my thing, but so far it’s been great for hiking, running and skiing.

Cups very small. No way is the D-E true to size. More like a small C, and actually in the side of the band it says C-E. Would not be suitable for high impact as it describes. The straps attach to the bust by metal clasps and these twist and do not stay flat when you have it on the shortest setting.

If you have a small bust / do not need much support than this would be a nice bra. The material is comfortable.

This is a great sports bra. I am a runner and I find this bra really supportive. I really like the padded cups as they maintain my decency on even the coldest runs (if you know what I mean ladies). It doesn’t cause me any problems in terms of rubbing, even on the longest runs.

I’d fully recommend it for a 3k run or a 40k run. I can’t comment beyond that as I’m not an ultra- marathon runner 😁 Great bra. Good quality. Nice fit.

High support, very easy to put on take off even after a long sweaty workout, thanks to the design. The support is fantastic for high intensity workouts. Dri-fit material keeps the material as dry as possible.

My search for a comfortable bra has been a long and winding road. I have long appreciated the backsmoother feature on Torrid bras, but I could never find one that was quite right. They would be comfortable in the morning when I put them on, but by evening the back would be digging in and riding up.

I am a 40dd, combination apple and pear shape, so hard to fit. I had just about given up when, on a whim, I decided to try this out. Wow, what a difference! It holds the girls up, stays in place, and above all, it’s soft and super-comfortable.

Works well as a minimizer too, if you’re like me and self-conscious about your chest. I really mean it when I say that this is the best bra I’ve ever owned. I definitely recommend you try it and see for yourself!.

BUT, this bra is absolutely fantastic. I have a larger chest so I was worried about this bra not fitting well (as in support), but HOLY MOLY is it amazing. It’s comfortable for one, it doesn’t dig into my skin like normal bras and it gives a lot of great support.

Two, it covers EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. The side boob fat, the back fat, etc. Plus you can adjust the straps to whatever you may need which is really helpful as well. The material is also soft! Overall this bra is probably the best one I’ve ever had from torrid, so 10/10.

This bra offers nice, comfortable support. It’s clearly a sports bra by the fabric, design and fit. This is not great for high impact- the bra just bounces up with the girls. But for walking, light jogging, hiking, yoga etc it works great! Also highly recommended for girls who need a nice thick fabric and extra support for work! I wear this under my scrubs (vet tech) and it blocks over enthusiastic dog paws!!! No more slip-ups or injuries to sensitive areas lol Unlike nearly every bra I’ve ever tried, the band does not roll up even when worn all day.

The back smoothing works well. My bra straps don’t fall down. And bonus: unlike other torrid active bras, this one doesn’t squeak when I move!!! Bought this in my usual size (42dd). The band fits perfectly like my other torrid wireless bras.

The cups are a touch too small. I’m a full DD and my cup overflows in this, creating that unsightly bulge. So if you’re at the top range of sizes I recommend moving up a cup.

The quality of this bra far exceeds the price. I’ve paid more money for much worse bras in my life. I’m not sure how great it would be for large chested women? But for me it’s perfect. (I have a broad rib cage, strong shoulders, and a B cup.

) I can say its honestly one of the best sports bras I’ve ever worn. Personally I remove the cups, so the support is about medium, but I only wear it for yoga and lounging around the house. If you’re needed a high support for impact workouts, you might need to keep looking.

But overall for moderate workouts and everyday wear, this bra is very comfy and I’ve already recommended it to several people and have already more in other colors for myself.

I was impressed by the sports bra before even putting it on. The color is a mixture of rich burgundy and lighter burgundy with a textured appearance; solid burgundy inside. It has a very thick/wide elastic band and the back has “air vents” (not sure if that’s the proper name) to help keep you cooler while exercising.

The racer back adjustable straps are a good width and not too big or small. The pads felt like a sufficient amount for comfort by the touch of my hand. Once I actually put it on, my goal was to wear it at least 8 hours.

One of the first things I like to do as soon as I get home from a long day, is take off my bra; this bra was comfortable all day long. The straps did not dig into my skin, and I love having ability to adjust them.

This bra also looks good enough to wear alone, and will also look great under a racer back t-shirt. My only complaint is that the “twins” started to look conjoined several times throughout the day, so I had to perform a routine procedure to separate them; but nothing more than with any other sports bra.

I definitely would love to have this bra in more colors.

My teenager wanted some sports bras for sports and I ordered this and the other razor back one Sams sells. I took advice and ordered a size up and I’m going to order more, but try 2 sizes up. For comparison, my daughter is 5’4, 114 lbs and very small up top.

She wears a small in all tops. We ordered a M and to me it is snug on her. She says they are comfortable the way it is, but it seems to me its almost meant to prevent anything from moving, so they are very snug.

Quality looks good and well worth the money I think.

I bought a different style spirts bra from this company in a 34E and loved it, but wanted a little more room in the band & underwire. I bought this in 36DD and the band size was waaaayy smaller than the 34.

The quality was good but sizing is inconsistent & they need to give actual Band/bust measurements in in/cm since we can’t return brad. Instead the size chart only references U. K. and US sizes, and it’s not remotely accurate.

My favorite bra. and when I went to look for more and couldn’t find any other than at hideous prices, at first I thought, “here we go again” and that I’d have to go bra hunting to find a different one.

Then I found these and was thinking – hope they’re ok, but at that price, can’t go wrong. Turns out they are just great – exactly like the brand name without the Champion name on them. What can I say – the perfect bra for way less than you can find the original brand name ones for.

And free shipping too boot – definitely can’t beat that.

Love this bra. I wore a 34G when I bought it and have lost weight down to 34DDD and the bra works for both and can be adjusted. Really really great supper for large real boobs. Doesn’t cut into my skin anywhere because the edges are seamless type.

I also usually have problems with the foam shaping but this one comes molded instead of with removable foam inserts that make your boobs look weird when they’re much smaller than your breast. I wish the colors were better.

Black is always essential, but where are the neon bright colors? These are weird choices and I still got the bra in 2 colors because it’s that good. I’m waiting for more colors before I buy more.

Thanks to other reviews I sized up and it showed up to be a good advice. I am normally EU 80C, I bought 85C and it fits nicely. Looks are not exactly flattering, but do not harm either. But everything holds at place 🙂 and it is very nice bra for hard impact exercises.

I am happy with the purchase, it is my first experience with this brand and I recommend.

I have to unfortunately send it back it was not that good but quality of the bra is amazing I bought a small size so had to send it back it’s a tiny bra so you might have to go up two size up. I love the quality of the bra and material is amazing but it didn’t fit me right I am 34 D and got 12C and it didn’t fit me properly too tight and didn’t look good.

Am 32F. Have three of these and counting. Great shape, comfort and control. I use it for everything – yoga, badminton, gym, archery. only problem is that you either need to be very flexible to do the top clasp or get someone to help you out.

Otherwise this is the best sports bra I’ve ever had, definitely to be recommended.

I was super excited to try this with the sizing options available i really thought I would finally get a sports bra that worked for me. I got a M-DD and the sizing was a JOKE. I have larger breast but a very small rib cage, normally I would just purchase a Large and hope for the best.

When I saw this size available i was thrilled! However upon arrival the item had its adjustable straps already tightened to the max (giving that large trying to fit a medium feeling) but I pushed forward and tried it on only to find the exact problem I always have spilling over the top.

Fortunately because it is a medium the band actually fits so when I pull up the bra I don’t just pull it right off like with the large. All in all, an attempt was made with the DD sizes but it has not satisfied my build yet.

The capri pink is insanely vibrant, I love it! The material is very soft and stretchy. The top part is not ribbed and is pretty thin, you can see the edges of the padding. The bottom half is ribbed and is pretty compressive but still very comfortable.

It doesn’t provide any support but it does make my ladies sit nice. It also hides my back fat under my arm that try’s to escape from most sports bras. My measurements are bust: 37. 5” underbust: 31”.

The medium fit me perfectly. It’s a slightly tight fit which is what I prefer.

very cute but order a size up. i normally get my sports bras in medium or medium dd. i grabbed these in a medium at the store. i could wear it but it fit like a tight sports bra. ordered the large dd online and they are way better.

more of a crop cami look instead of a sports bra. there is a little bit of extra fabric in the bust but it is not an issue for me. for size reference, i am like a 34dd-ddd but really i need closer cups so I can’t really wear a lot of the regular bras at Vs.

i have just gave up and stick with bralettes and these little tops. i bought 4 different colors. I prefer these to the seamless version (also bought the large dd of these) as these do not roll up like the seamless does.

I wear sports bras all the time, even when at home and just doing my daily work around the house and garden. My previous sports bras were just pure pull on compression. But lately my breasts have been hurting from the compression.

So I decided to look into some better quality high impact bras. Because when I run or walk, I don’t like any bounce at all. I bought this and a couple other bras. And this is the one I want to wear all the time.

It holds everything in place. No bounce. But it’s well constructed to that it’s not overly binding. I see they’re on sale, and will order some more online. If you get some more in black, I’d buy more in black too.

I bought this because I was so fed up with under wire minimizer bras that shoved everything sideways or let everything spill out. I had tried many different sizes and nothing worked. I ran across this bra when looking for an exercise bra that gave support and did not make a uniboob! This bra is so comfortable that I have now bought 3 and am wearing it as my everyday bra.

I am 72 and wear a 40d. This bra gives marvelously comfortable support while allowing for a womanly shape. The high front and sides keep everything together. At my age I don’t wear low cut tops so that isn’t a problem.

This bra is great!! I’ve been looking for a supportive sport bra for a while. I’m so glad I found this one. I already have bought two more so I always have one to wear. I like wearing them during the day during normal activities but I will not wear any other bras to work out in.

They are so supportive and comfortable. I’ve recommended them to numerous people.

Since it’s given in the specifications that it is a high support bra, I expected it to be better that how actually it is. This bra fits perfectly but the support part is not that great tho. While doing jump rope, it does not hold the breasts properly , which leads to unwanted and painful bouncing.

Otherwise if you’re looking for a medium impact activity, this should work just fine. The quality of the material is really soft and nice. The color is pretty cute too.

I had read all the reviews before purchasing so bought one size larger than the online sizing chart suggested. Well even that wasn’t enough! I almost got my arms stuck trying to pull this over my head and once on I was being completely squeezed.

I know the aim is to keep things firmly in place, but this was ridiculous. I then had a struggle to get back out of the thing. It looks like a great value bra, and I’ll try the next size up (so 2 sizes larger than suggested).

So much support. At first when I received the bra, I was skeptical because it had no padding. And I was used to padding. But has been a game changer! Best support, no back pain! Breathes well, no rashes, and absorbs the sweat! Easy to wear and yet very well form fitted! So much at such a pocket friendly price! I love this product so much!!.

I love other bras that I’ve purchased from soma, but this one was disappointing. I’m a size 36G for reference, and I would say it’s true to size. It’s extremely difficult to take off and put on when the straps are crossed, which is necessary to do for enough support (and for wearing under tanks).

Even with the straps crossed, I would not be able to wear this for a run or for other workouts requiring that level of movement. It could work for weight lifting or other low/medium impact activities, but for the price point, and considering the difficulty involved to put it on and take it off, it’s not worth it.

The material is not particularly comfortable either.

I struggle to find bras that fit (40DD), especially sports bras that actually accomplish the mission. I tried one of the “industrial strength” ones with the front zipper and multiple velcro adjustments, and while it does the trick I feel like I need a chiropractic adjustment every time I wear it.

This bra does a good job of supporting the girls and minimizing bounce without causing neck pain. I wear it primarily for horseback riding, and am able to post the trot and canter without excessive boob bouncing lol.

I live in Florida so these bras get lots of laundry abuse (wash on hot, not delicate cycle) to eliminate sweat and odor, and so far they are holding up well.

Since I am in my 60’s, I love having a supportive bra for my Pilates workouts. I have been looking for the perfect one and though I might have found it. And since this a Wacoal bra, I had high expectations.

But, this bra is just way too bulky and I do not like that the straps flap in the back. The straps are adjustable, but they adjust by going into slots. Which means the end of the strap just hangs out.

This does not look good under your shirt. I returned this bra as I was not satisfied at all.

After/during the pandemic I decided to never wear an underwire again. I have sensitive skin and I was left with hives sometimes from the wire, and redness that was really terrible. I started investigating wire free bras and bought and returned a bunch from a whole lot of different companies.

Interestingly I landed on this bra, which I guess is supposed to be a sports bra but I’ve taken to wearing it every day. It really gives SO much support and I feel like it even helps with my posture.

I definitely wish it did not have the writing on it, OR that there was the option to purchase without the writing, it is really the only bad thing I can think of about this bra. Anyway, in the new more casual world this is my go-to bra.

Super sexy without being too showy. This is perfect for my workouts. I bought this along with the matching leggings and I am incredibly impressed with how soft the material is while give amazing compression and support.

Super snug and comfy! Makes me feel very secure during workouts. I removed the padding though. Otherwise it showed the full cutout of the pads.

Love this top, fits perfectly, super comfortable, true to size. Looks really nice with the full set and longsleeve on top and fab on it’s own 🙌

My fav sports bra ever for everything other than running/high impact cardio. I’m a 32DD but not a perky one, so most sports bras make me have a uniboob and are not flattering. This is supportive and makes great shape, so I LOVE wearing it for any type of workout that’s not running.

Pilates, spin, athleisure, etc. I have to wear SheFit for running, but that’s a totally different kind of sports bra. I’m DESPERATE for one of these sports bras in white! Please please make it!!! I have over 15 of these sports bras now (all in black) so that I have enough to always have a clean one even if I wear multiple each day.

Don’t be fooled: this sports bra is NOT supportive at all! You’ll see from the pictures that the sides and back are low-cut, which results in really awful support. On top of that, the straps are terrible: they do not stay in place and are itchy – put those two things together and you get a ton of rubbing against the skin.

I bought a few of these at the same time and am really disappointed. I usually get my sports bras from Old Navy. These ones are trash – clearly designed more for looks than actual support and function.

Love this bra, however, I am a 34 D and found the bra itself not supportive enough to wear running. I normally find it difficult to find cute bras that are supportive enough to wear without a shirt, however, when I wore a basic racerback bra underneath and this upped the support but remained super comfortable! Will be wearing it all the time.

Love love love this sports bra. I love the fun pattern and it actually feels very comfortable. I’m always a bit concerned that fun/cute sports bras aren’t actually good for running. Happy to say that is not the case here!.

This bra is what I wanted and more. I ran in it in my past half marathon for the first time, it was super comfortable and roomy. It was breatheble, I won’t lie when I put it on it felt to loose and I was nervous that it was going to not have that “support” I need but I was sure wrong! It has overall great support and no chafing or weird rubs.

No soreness or anything after using this bra, big fan! Everyone loved the pattern too!.
