20 Best Space Heater For A Carpeted Room (2023 Updated)

I like the heater, I think it produces good heat for my relatively large one bedroom. However, it says in the instruction manual that turning the dial counter-clockwise, with the red light remaining on, is supposed to set the heater to “Auto” in which, once the heater detects that the room has grown cold/fallen below a certain temperature, it will turn itself on again automatically.

And yet, I’ve had it about a week now and I haven’t really noticed this “auto turn on/turn off” feature. It almost never comes back on by itself, and if it does it’s only once the room has become more than uncomfortably cold again, like a whole hour later than I would expect it to come on.

And when it does come back on by itself it only does so for a few minutes before turning off, before the room has even gotten warm! I’m not sure if my product is defective or if it’s supposed to work like this.

I now wish it had a digital screen where I could input an actual temperature to set it to, rather than this weird clockwise/clounter-clockwise dial system. I haven’t seen any other reviews mention this.

The heat is nice, but it’s a bit tedious waking up from being cold or hot in the middle of the night, and having to get out of bed to turn the heater on. I still have the original box and am debating whether to return it.

Recent cold fronts allowed this thing to prove its worth, and it did with flying colors. But there is a small oversight that becomes annoying. GOOD -Very high heat even on the first setting. The dial helps find that perfect temperature.

-Real good airflow. -Fully heats a 10×10 room in about 20 to 30 minutes and keeps it warm. SO-SO -There’s an odd angle issue with the air. If you stand in front of it, you will feel it warm your legs, but for some reason it shoots air upward.

It helps heat the room faster but it did take me by surprise. -The kickstand is fine. Doesn’t extend very far at all. It’s stuck on the power cord, so a quick move of the wire and you’ll get the full adjustment.

-The only real negative is ‘where’ the air is going. If you’re in front of it, it heats real well. But if you stand 1 or 2 inches to the side, you get no heat at all. Be sure to point this thing where you need heat first before turning it on.

Or set it at the opposite end of the room. -The air intake gets dirty real quick. Even worse if you have pets. I would strongly suggest cleaning it at least once a week. Besides the somewhat medium price range, this little thing really does put in a lot of work.

This packs a surprisingly powerful punch (of comforting warmth) despite its small size. Adjustable in multiple ways, this is so worth it for anybody looking to add some heat to their workspace. I have Reynaud’s (aka: I get dangerously cold way too easily to the point that I can get frostbite when others can’t or won’t even feel a chill) and this does the trick to keep me warm and therefore safe.

I bought this, originally, as a gift for a good friend. After testing it out at her house one day, I was immediately convinced I wanted. no, needed. this. It out-performs a bigger, bulkier, less balanced/stable model that I had from another company.

I have NO complaints. I HIGHLY recommend.

First, as a base line, we live in house that is 107 years old. It has hydronic heat. Located in PA. Annual ambient temperatures require heating for 5-7 months. With Jan, Feb, and Mar temperature dropping below freezing.

Our hydronic system failed Jan 3. Repair Services love emergency call out for a price. Not me. We purchased Atomi Smart heater instead. I will go though our plans and why these heaters are a better fit for us.

Plan 1 – Prevent pipe freeze. Improve human comfort level. Our house is two stories with a basement. The stairwells act as heat chimney. One heater in the basement to protect water pipes and start the chimney action.

Any 1500 watt space heaters would work. The Smart App make adjustments much easier. Even though we have experienced below 20F days, no frozen pipe. Another heater would give more human comfort at an increased electric bill.

Plan 2 – We will get the boiler fixed on our time schedule. Our hydronic system has a 5×2-4 programable thermpstate that can be manually kisked up and will automatically drop back to the programmed set point after two hours.

Each radiator has a manual valve, which have limited control value. The Aotmi Smart app has scheduling. Another feature that attracted us to the heaters. Our plan is to drop the hydronic thermostat a few degrees and use the Atomi Smart heaters for peaking.

Probably will take tweaking placement and timing. The desired result ia a savings a few bucks during the heating season. Overall. Fit and finish of the heater is good. The App works well. I did have some angst making the WiFi connections on the first unit.

The second unit was no trouble at all. Both heaters are controlled from the same instance of the App. Not sure how many network of things can be attached to the App. The front panel touch controls are sensitive, and work very well.

So far, no goofy behavior from the heaters. Last, there are two items in the box, a manual and the heater. No assembly required. Cons. I favor heaters that can be thrown from a second story window and then run for 10 years without fault.

Atomi Smart heaters have a lot of plastic. No window test on these. I am liking the heaters now, maybe even to the point of buying another. Time will tell.

Solid packaging, everything arrived in one piece. Sharp looking, although the unit is a bit light and, of course, all hard plastic. Would have preferred a heavier base, but the wind won’t blow it over.

Don’t look for hardcopy directions in the box, included in the app. Smart setup typical, the usual – find the wireless, but no real issues. Google integration seamless. Took me a minute to figure out the Oscillation command.

I’ll save you the trouble. Use exact, “Hey Google, Heater ossiculate on/off”. So you can see I love it as a Smart device and all its tricks, scheduling and the design. Now as a heater? not so much, 3 stars at best.

It’s very quiet, but the fan doesn’t blow all that hard either, but the heat is good and hot. And the 750 sq ft. coverage they claim, haven’t tested, but my 300 sq ft room, would seem to be the max. And my California cool, take the edge off, is not Midwest cold.

I can feel the heat blowing about 3-4 ft away, that’s it. So if you’re looking for a 10 degree bump, this is a good one. More than that, you’re on your own. But if you’re a techy, you’ll enjoy!.

We live in Colorado. We have a bottom floor/entryway in our home with only one heater vent in the ceiling so it always stays very cold in the winter. We had a little space heater down there but it struggled to keep up and was a pain to go down and turn on each morning and off each night.

We found this Atomi heater and loved that there was an app to control it and a schedule feature. It has been a game changer! Not only does it sufficiently heat the space but its small and sleek design are also aesthetically pleasing.

We set it up on a program and can change that or check up on the heater with our phones. The safety features give us comfort as well. It is very quiet and the oscillating feature has helped tremendously.

I ordered this to put in my toddler’s room. I had a regular little space heater but I always thought his room was either too hot too cold and my mom brain consistently woke me up at night to check on him.

I loved the idea of this working on a digital thermostat that I can monitor on an app. The app is SUPER easy and connecting it to the internet was pretty simple. His room is pretty medium sized, we keep the house at 65 at night during the winter, but keep his room at 71.

It does a great job so far. The only downside is that whenever the heat is adjusted, schedule turns on, powered off/on or loses connection to the internet, it would make this loud beeping noise. A few reviewers mentioned this, but I didn’t think (and still don’t) thing it’s a deal breaker.

Unfortunately we had a few storms and lost electricity, and then router cut on and off which caused the heater to make that loud noise and wake him up. You NEVER wake a sleeping toddler. Anyways, after doing some research I saw there was an update that removed that noise but couldn’t figure out how to do it on the app.

I contacted customer service for assistance and they let me know it was actually a hardware update and that they would ship a new one to me! I was SUPER surprised and definitely thankful. Having a 2 yr old is hard enough, every bit of convenience is worth it’s weight in gold.

The Delongi TRD40615E Dragon 4 heater is the sure bet when it comes to heating. Typical heaters which have a hair dryer element, fan and thermostat are pretty useless compared to this passive heater.

When heating or cooling it always takes more time to achieve the temperature when heating or cooling when using fluids. Once at temperature, this fluids are more efficient, due to their resistance in losing temperature.

This heater will consume less energy that a forced air, coil/fan heater. Say the thermostat is at 70 degrees. Once the heater gets to 70 the oil will be at 70 degrees. With oil having a higher viscosity than air it will continue to heat the room, taking a longer time to lose its residual heat.

However, an air, electric element and fan cool off extremely fast due to their construction of thin lightweight medals. Thus the hair dryer with a fan will have to cycle on again. The heater with element fan and thermostat will cycle more often than the oil filled chimney designed heater.

So physics proves my point, hot air rises, same sized rooms, shapes materials within the room the oil filled heater is more efficient than the heater with open element and fan while trying to achieve the same outcome.

Delongi has a great design. I have used this model in a 200 square foot room which is above a garage. The house thermostat at 68 this one room will be at 64. With the additional supplimental heating from this radiator style heater I no longer worry if the room is warm.

The room will stay at 68 because of the oil filled heater.

Really nice radiator heater! It can definitely heat up a room! Upon opening the box, make sure to blow out any left over Styrofoam if any is stuck to the heater or in the cracks. The instructions say to turn it on and let it run for 4 hours on high for first use to burn off any chemical smells there may be.

It isn’t a strong smell but I did smell a lite hint of something. The wheels are easy to fold out and they make the heater very easily mobile as far as the plug will allow. You can very easily unplug it and slide it into another room with barely any effort at all.

The face has 7 buttons. 1. The obvious, on/off button. Self explanatory 2. The lightbulb. Now, why would a heater have a lightbulb?? It doesn’t, the face is a digital display and if you tap the lightbulb button it will dim the screen.

There are 3 different settings so if you are trying to sleep and need a very dark room, you can. Honestly though, it isn’t that bright but it is a nice option to have. 3. the power level. Self explanatory but again, it has 3 levels.

A nice feature. 4. The Timer! I did read all of the instructions and I am glad that I did. If you want the heater to turn on in 1,2,3 or 4 hours, you need to press this button and then hit the plus and minus button until you reach your desired amount of time and then leave it! Do not press power.

You will see a little clock display on the screen and now, you have set the heater to perhaps turn on in the middle of the night so you aren’t freezing when you wake up. Great option! Now, if you want the heater to turn off in an hour or 4, you just need to do the exact same but after you have turned the heater on.

5. the minus option. This is a control for the temperature and the timer. 6. The plus sign. This is also a control for the temperature and the timer. 7. The ECO button. If you press this button, the heater will run at the best amount of power to reach your desired temperature to save power.

I cant really say if this is useful or not. I am the type that want full heat when I have a heater going. It does look like a radiator however, it is a nice looking heater and it looks nice in any room.

It does feel hot to the touch when in use however it is not going to blister your skin if you accidentally touch it or a child or pet goes near it. I have both in my home so that is very important to me.

when Our home is over 2000 sq ft and when I am using the heater on the main floor, you can 100% feel the difference at the top of the stairs on the second level. It will be wonderful this winter in our basement which is finished but it does have a constant chill down there.

OH!!!!! One last thing that needs to be noted!!! It has an antifreeze mode! This is my favorite feature as it could potentially be life saving. If the room falls below a certain temperature, it will automatically turn on to prevent freezing.

I have to look more into this but it is an awesome feature if that is the case! I do like this heater a lot! I give it 5 stars and I do recommend this item.

I like everything about WalMart and the products they sell. During this time of Covid, I have solely purchased from WalMart and gotten the best prices for everything from food to merchandise. This is the second space heater I’ve purchased, exactly like the first.

The product is well-made, performs perfectly, came boxed and carefully packaged so nothing would be damaged. This is what I like. WalMart is fast, economical and packages its deliveries better than others.

Other, larger space heaters I’ve used have all either overheated early on, started blasting cold air after a few uses, or just flat out weren’t powerful enough to keep my regularly 14°C basement room warmed.

I had this little guy on for an hour, and it managed to warm the room to 21°, warmer than it gets in the summer months! It’s small enough to fit on a coffee table, and while it may not have an in-depth temperature control system, if you just want an affordable heater that’ll warm your room, is quiet enough that you can sleep with it on, and don’t care about exact temperatures it’s perfect.

This heater puts out a LOT of heat and is fairly quiet. First, we had to solve a clicking when it oscillates. Moved to another spot. It also had an annoying habit of shutting off before it got to room temperature.

Figured that out too. Now, for the not so good. In a dark bedroom you need a flashlight to change temperature of move to low/high heat. (Eco setting is a sop to the greenies and the meddling government) That tiny light on the front will do you no good.

NO REMOTE for you techies out there. You also have to actually BEND down to change settings. Yeah I know. The push controls are sometimes not really responsive and you must push a couple of times to reset.

It is a cold season now and I massage my baby girl every day twice. It takes the central heater of my home to warm up. So, I was looking for a small space heater just for that specific purpose. Finally, after some research, I found this DREO heater.

I am so impressed with it. Even though it looks small it emits heat right away. It just looks small, but it functions just like bigger space heaters. Since it is small, it can be carried anywhere easily.

Besides, it can rotate side to side and has a timer. It is not just a heater but a fan too. I love it. Made my life easy.

I inherited this Lasko from a former boss who left it behind when he transitioned to a different office. I believe, as of 2021, the unit is at least 6 years old. I have to say I found it a bit too powerful at my cubicle and brought it home.

BEST DECISION! This little heater will heat up my living room within 10 minutes when placed on high, 75 degrees, and oscillating. It has helped cut my heating bills for late fall when I need some warmth in my room but don’t need to heat up the whole house.

I only gave it 4 stars because I tipped it over and it did not shut off. This may not have been a feature when it was purchased years ago. Overall, it does its job. My cats don’t bother it and my 10 yr old son can easily work it himself.

I’ve had this for about 3 weeks now but will probably take it back. While it does heat my son’s small room nicely, it has some irritating things about it. You can set the temperature; however, before buying it I didn’t realize the temperature was in 5 degree increments, so you can’t just set it to what you want.

The most awful thing about this heater is the bright temperature display and the fact that it blinks until the temperature is reached. Even after it turns off, there is a red light that stays on. That’s too much visual stimulation for a toddler trying to go to sleep.

Lastly, the buttons beep when you push them which is disturbing late at night.

I’ve had this for almost 2 years now and in my case it has lasted this long for me. I have a very spacious room but let me tell you, this thing heats up my room! When I had purchased this heater, it was for a quick emergency due to my previous one malfunctioning on me.

This feature loaded space heater is a God-send on these unseasonably chilly fall days and nights! Especially with the cost of home heating oil in excess o $5 per gallon! I was fortunate enough to find two of these as “open box specials” on Amazon way below the retail.

One arrived new, never been opened, the other had a single slightly bent fin on the top vent. Initially, I was running them both on high on opposite ends of my 5600 cubic feet of volume, LxWxH master bedroom.

The room heated up 10 degrees in 2 hours! So I set them both to level 2, and the next day the room heated up 10 degrees in 4 hours! So now if turned one off and I’m only using unit on level 2 to maintain the temp at 73 in the room.

I learned how to program the auto on and auto off feature so now I don’t need to get out of bed to start them up! I’m also going to experiment with the ECO feature to see if I can get even more performance from them! Even at full retail these units used correctly will pay for themselves very quickly!.

I got this heater in February 2021 and used it for the tail end of winter. There was a problem where it would periodically overheat, especially with the fans on, which makes having a thermostat and timer pointless.

It’s unobstructed, in the open on its feet with nothing around or above it and plenty of space for the vents below, and I’ve kept it dust-free. Fastforward to today, where it overheats within a minute of turning on the fans, every time.

Currently I am the proud owner of a very expensive, decorative aluminum rectangle. Even better, if I’m reading it correctly, there’s only a 1-year warranty on them. You win, Delonghi, for selling something that just barely outlives the warranty.

Suffice to say, if I can’t fix it and if I do have to replace it, it’ll be with something else.

I regret buying this. If you have a chilly room you expect to heat with this thing, look elsewhere. Unless you’re planning on sitting on it, it’s not going to keep you warm. I’m not sure of the conditions of all the other reviewers, but this heater is lame.

If it’s not on full it’s useless. I live in a small, chilly basement suite and it can’t warm up my 150 sq foot living room with this thing unless it’s on high. When I use the ECO mode, which is supposed to maintain a constant heat, it seems to only recognize the temperature within a foot of the unit, so it switches to a lower setting and turns the fan off.

Without the fan, this thing is completely useless. it’s just a big white thing that’s somewhat warm. I suppose if I was to place my body across it, I would warm up. Perhaps I’m using it wrong. Also the fan is at least as loud as my 10 year old heater I was hoping to replace.

The heat that it is generated without the fan is, in a word, pathetic. I figure that if you have a room that isn’t particularly subject to being chilly, it might work. In my basement, it doesn’t put a dent in things.

My old heater is much better, and I regret buying this model. Overall, this thing is disappointing, noisy, expensive and fairly large, especially given its lackluster performance. I should have spent the money on some warm clothes.

The heater works well. It is a little “shorter” than I had hoped. Also, it does not always turn off when you press the turn-off button. I had to learn to look for the count-down to turn-off to show on the screen.

Otherwise, it means that it did not get the message, and did not turn off. This is inconvenient, but, once you know it, not terrible.

Bought this thinking it had a constant hot air all around however the top spins and it only blows out hot air in a certain direction. Should have read more thoroughly so that’s on me. Tried to use it for the living room although it is too small so it was struggling to keep up although it was going an OK job if pointed directly at you.

Switched it to the restroom instead and it heats it up in no time. The remote control is easy to use although feels cheaply made. The heater itself seems to be well made and sturdy.

The Lasko 1500 Watt Full Circle Warmth Ceramic Heater with remote control was purchased at the end of January 2022 during some of the freezing temps we experienced. It was especially welcomed because our oil delivery was delayed for nearly a week.

It was an easy assembled job and we felt the circle warmth of the Lasko in a matter of minutes. It replaced the chill in the room with a comfortable warm feeling and we were delighted. Also, the remote control made it easy to adjust the temperature.

We consider it a good buy for winter weather.

Great heater. Has a 360 degrees motion that heats the room quick. Not loud at all. Very easy to use touch controls. Also comes with a small remote that is also easy to use. It’s made of cheap plastic so try not to bang it on anything when moving around the house or garage.

The first one I ordered arrived broken. A piece fell off the casing. Took it back to Best Buy, got my refund and reordered and within a few day got the new one. All is good.

I received this as a birthday gift so it’s not a verified purchase, but I know the purchaser ordered it directly from Vornado. There really is no competition to this heater that I know of available today.

Even most of the all-metal heaters you find are lightweight and have cheap-feeling controls. Not this one. It’s solid and the controls feel heavy duty. The low (750 watt) setting is nearly silent and it’s perfect for directing a stream of heat toward one person or two people sitting close to each other, or when you only need you warm the room up a little.

The high (1500 watt) setting uses a higher fan speed so it sends heated air all around the room for fast heating. The orange power indicator light on the base is useful because it reminds you that the heater is turned on, which would be easy to forget if it’s on the low speed or if the thermostat had shut it off because the room reached the required temperature.

This isn’t the cheapest heater you’ll find but you get what you pay for. This one feels like it’ll last for many years.

I use this unit to heat a 12×16 (8ft ceiling) bedroom and it does the job well. I set the thermostat to “4”, which in my application= @72° and it turns itself off at that temp. In this size room it does NOT run all the time; comes on and off a couple times an hour to maintain 72° during a Maryland winter (20-30’s at night).

NOTE: it is not a whole house or large living room heater. Use it in the right situation, a small to medium sized, contained room and you won’t be disappointed. Thinking about purchasing a second unit.

First. I cannot believe someone gave a 1 star review because THEY did not correctly read the product description. That is a 1 star for them, not the product. This space heater is made so well. The all metal housing is what I would expect with a retro styled unit.

Our home has many original features from 1890 and most of our furniture is from the 40’s-50’s or inspired by those decades. I was thrilled to find this heater and ended up buying another one for another room.

Very quiet and the low setting has been sufficient to warm a 15′ x 15′ room, which previously was very cold.

I have over 6 or so of these over the years and have been generally happy with these. But over the last few years of buying these, they have become unreliable. The temperature senser is inaccurate, making room either too hot or too cold.

Always have to readjust this thing very frustrating especially at night. Keep all rooms warm no matter the size except for the bathroom which is small to medium in size. Puts out rated heat, used a watt meter to test.

The thermostat sensor is a deal breaker. Spend a little more money on a better unit and avoid this due to the unreliable temperature sensor.

I got this for my office, which has no windows to let in warmth from the sun, and is always freezing. Imagine wearing layers of sweaters, corduroys, and a fuzzy blanket in the summer in Atlanta. Anyway, my old space heater was starting to give off a burning smell, and wasn’t really warming the room quickly.

I found this Lasko unit while searching online for a replacement that was also quieter, since it’s for work. This little guy pumps out so much heat on the lowest setting, and warms my office quickly.

It’s not super-quiet, but not as loud as the old one. I’m amazed at the heat output for such a small unit. I keep it next to my chair on the floor, so it blows near my ankles, and it’s actually too hot sometimes.

Love it, very happy with the purchase. It’s only been a few weeks, so I can’t speak to its longevity, but it works great. Too bad it’s not more stylish, considering all the options out there, but I’ll take substance over style any day.

If they made it in fun colors though, I’d like it even more.

This is an Amazing heater. It heats up the room. However it does not shut off and on like other heaters, throughout its cycle. Because of that it just keeps going. I have never had such a high electric bill in my life.

It was over $400. I dont recommend this heater for that reason. I am sense going to order another brand. When I ordered this it was all that was available at the time. It is a good heater, but not for long term use, like heating a room all night, etc, only for short term use like for a couple of hours.

I have been using heaters to heat my home in the winter, but this one keeps my electric bill very high. The lastest bill came in for $231.

This is the second Lasko heater I’ve purchased, the first being an oscillating tabletop sized model a couple of years ago. This “bladeless” floor model has a couple of annoying tendencies that render it far less value than what I expected.

First, it’s ambient heat regulation is awful. I have it in an enclosed 140 sq. ft. room. Let’s say I set it to 16C and turn it on. The heater runs the temperature up to at least 18C before it shuts off.

Is that the temperature sensor being woefully slow in reacting to change or a built-in overshoot that’s too extreme? The heater then shuts off as it should. Watching the front panel display the temperature shown continues to rise, as much as another 2-3 degrees C so now it’s at 19-20C.

It sits there as the room cools but the display is very, very slow to register the drop resulting in the room being noticeably cold by the time it turns back on. All through this cool down time the unit starts for just a few seconds every few minutes, blows a burst of cold air into the room and shuts back off.

Why?? This cycle continues ad nauseam so the room repeatedly overheats then gets cool (read 3-4 degrees BELOW the set point) before being reheated. Is the internal temperature sensor defective? Is it located in an air-blocked area of the chassis so it cannot react accurately? Obviously I can’t answer that but given the cost this unit isn’t very well controlled to say the least and it renders the room it’s in either over-heated or cooler than desired.

Second, and of a more minor concern, is that if you select the oscillate mode, run the heater then turn it off the next time yo turn it on the temperature setting has been retained but the oscillate function is not restarted without user intervention.

The tabletop model has a physical switch for oscillate so it does perform as expected. This unit with it’s electronic keypad does not. Why? I’ve had this one for 3 weeks now and I will keep it to use for what it was purchased to do.

We bought 3 of these heaters online as replacements for older space heaters that supplement the central heating in a particular room. We liked the looks anf functionality as well as the location of controls and the remote control.

We have had many Lasko productsd in the past. All three had a powerful chemical odor when turned on. We were about to return them but decided to run them outside overnight to burn off whatever was causing them to smell bad when operated.

It greatly reduced the smell but that smell persisted for about a week. All electric fans have an odor when used after being stored from the dust that collects on the heating elements. This was definitley chemical reminiscent of plastic burning.

We were disappointed as these heaters were on the upper price range for tower style heaters.

I had high hopes to upgrade my existing heater with this. This looks sleek and has a metric digital thermostat, but unfortunately doesn’t seem to put out as much heat as my old heater from another brand, and was noisier, too.

I seem to have a different definition of wide oscillation, because I found this one to be quite narrow. The auto dimming display didn’t dim, and the bright red characters were quite intense to look at.

It also resets every time it’s turned off, which is annoying to have to constantly reprogram it every time I turn it on. I sent this disappointment back to the store for a refund and went back to using my old heater while I keep an eye out for a better replacement.

When my mini heater stopped working I needed to hunt down another heater that would be good for the area where my desk is, yet safe enough not to set anything on fire. There are some things that you need to know when purchasing this heater.

First of all, the thermostat does not work on Low. When you select the thermostat it automatic clicks to high. This could be an issue for people who had circuit breakers that overload. The heater is about 32 inches tall so it’s not overwhelmingly big yet bit enough to give out substantial amounts of heat.

I was skeptical about this heater but I have no regrets purchasing it. If you’re into decor, which I’m not, it’s a pretty little heater that will blend in. Unless you’re very close to it, it looks like it’s made of stone.

Performance Heats the area near my desk and the small room wonderfully. Ease of Use This heater is easy to use. You can’t use the thermostat when this heater is on low but you can use the timer on a one hour minimum setting.

Durability No durability issues. There’s a sturdy metal base to keep the heater from falling over. Design Very cute and sturdy design. The heater itself is light brown and looks like stone. There are other designs that are darker.

Safety I’ve had no scares from this heater.

This is a great little space heater, and is both efficient and attractive. Performance This heater works very well. We use it to augment the heating in our 10′ x 12′ bedroom and it’s more than sufficient.

I bought this based on researching the consumer ratings, and do have much more confidence in the safety of this brand and this unit than in others I’ve used in the past.

It’s about time someone made a small room heater with some style. This is such a good looking heater, I can’t believe it. It fits great with my decor – and for my small bedroom – it works really well.

It is heavier than I thought it would be – which I like. It’s metal not plastic – and is just a really nice unit. I hope it lasts. I haven’t had it long and the way they make everything to break in a couple of years, I hope this one lasts because I like the features and the way it looks so well.

It has a remote – which works great – I didn’t expect that, really. But I am so glad that it does. It makes things much easier, plus it has a timer so that it will turn off – which is also really good for me.

I would definitely recommend this unit.

I recently got this heater to replace one that died after just a year. It had good reviews on various sites so gave it a try. Its a nice design. For being small/compact floor heater, it still puts off quite a bit of heat.

I primarily got it for my bedroom (12*12) which made the mistake of having vinyl (peel and stick floor) so is always freezing. it does also work well in a bigger living room. I like the different temperature and power settings.

The only downside is no remote but for the price, seems like a well made heater that functions like it should. happy with it so far.

The Lasko Designer Series Portable Oscillating Ceramic Heater 6410 has made my chilly winter nights significantly warmer, cozier, and more enjoyable. I am renting an old, rundown home on my college campus that has very little insulation, especially in my bedroom.

My mother had always warned me to avoid space heaters because she felt that they were dangerous, so I had always been hesitant to purchase one. However, I am pleased to report that the Lasko Ceramic Heater is completely safe.

Even my mother has admitted this. Performance My days of lying awake at night shivering under eight thick blankets are over! This heater keeps me warm and cozy. This has helped me with my severe body pain, because my muscles get extremely tense and tight when I shiver.

Design The design is elegant and will look gorgeous in any room! Safety Unlike older and/or cheaply made heaters, this product is completely safe. I still would not leave it on when you are not in the room, but that is just because you can never be too cautious!.

Good things DO come in small packages. Although a bit pricey, (what’s not these days?), THIS Lasko heater with remote (don’t forget to buy batteries) works really well, it is SUPER quiet, and it warms the room up great.

As an added bonus, the remote for this heater also works on an older Lasko heater that I have which had a lost remote. The only things that I don’t like about it are: 1. ) No automatic cutoff if tipped over.

2. ) The metal grate where the heat comes out gets HOT. Therefore, I cannot in good conscience recommend this heater for households with small children unless you put it WAY out of their reach. All others.

As others have said, it doesn’t look like much, but delivers. During a very cold spell, I purchased this to take some of the stress off of my home’s furnace, which was at best able to keep the house in the mid 60s.

My home is small, around 1500 square feet, but a very open floor plan where it would be difficult to isolate the heater, even in the largest room, about 350 sqft. It was in this room that I put the heater, and with a bit of trial and error found the temperature based mode to be very useful.

Despite the expected issues, it performed perfectly. In fact I had to keep turning it down!.

My last Lasko heater lasted nearly 10 years so I decided to go with the same brand. This one has the same exact functions so the transition has been seamless. The heating element is a little smaller than the one in the old tower heater but it doesnt seem to make a difference, it works just as well.

That said, I only use the heater in small rooms and at short intervals or on the Eco setting. I would not use this heater as a primary source of heat. I like the compact design better than the tower design alternatives.

It sits against the wall out of the way and takes up less space overall. This heater is also very quiet. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Lasko normally makes great affordable products. I ordered this heater. Because I had one I’d found in a thrift store a few years ago. It served me well but as a active Senior. Whom works part time. My office gets cold because of the central air.

Plus my bedroom gets cold in my Senior Apt poor quality windows. I purchased the heater in August 2021. Used it once now fall has arrived it’s October 2021. All it does is blow cold air like a fan. So I returned it back to the store.

I would have bought a different model but they were sold iut of this size. And wouldn’t you know it the price increased since I ordered it not worth it.

I’ve had this heater for 4 years. It’s only been used in small bedrooms so if you have a large room this review may not pertain to you. Quality- The heater is 4 years old and it still works. I’d say it’s a good heater.

I bought an older house where the heat is everywhere in the house except the bedrooms. The heater is used at night when we sleep every night during the cold season. It hasn’t broken or malfunctioned to date.

Works like new. Performance- The heater’s not made for large spaces. It heats a insulated bedroom nicely so it turns off and gives itself breathers when the temperate reaches the set limit. I’m going to say the bedrooms we have are around 300-350 sq.

ft. and lightly insulated. For anything larger, I’d look for a different heater. There’s lots of options so don’t settle on one you “like” that just might work. Instead, do your research and find a heater that is the correct heater for your situation.

I didn’t get a discount or anything with this review. It makes me laugh because when I read reviews I immediately assume someone is being sneaky and lying but in all seriousness. Good product if it’s what you need.

I purchased the Lasko 1500W Ceramic Tower Space Heater with Remote and have been using it for a number of weeks. There are two problems with this heater. 1. There is NO option to drive out the heat faster with its fan.

There is one fixed setting for fan speed which is clearly a “Low Setting. ” You must rely on setting the heat to stay on much longer by way of timer or increasing temperature setting. 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 85 degrees or “MAX” 2.

The second problem is with the thermostat setting which I found not to be accurate. I always use a setting of 70 degrees although in my experience it needed to become noticeably cooler to trigger the heater to turn on.

In addition, the house heat, also set on 70 degrees, would turn on much sooner than the heater. The thermostat is an important setting when your sleeping or when you cannot keep adjusting the heat. 75 degrees gets too hot.

As a result of these issues, this heater would not be efficient for a large room.

I bought for an RV to assist in avoiding overuse of propane for heat. It’s located in the bedroom space and keeps it TOASTY. I would give 5 stars except I wish the thermostat was visible from the front (while in bed and needing to adjust to a desired temp).

The thermostat is on top of the unit. The remote is great but without the visible thermostat, it’s guesswork. The unit does cut off when desired temp is reached and will auto come back on when needed.

I’ve purchased an infrared wall heater for the RV living space to save space but haven’t had a chance to install and using a generic ceramic heater there that doesn’t compare to the Lasko. If the infrared heater fails to meet needs, I’ll purchase a 2nd Lasko Designer Series.

The Lasko Designer appearance is also a more desired PLUS. Additionally, the Lasko helps keep the living space heated during the day just from the overflow. I keep the propane thermostat on as a backup and it rarely kicks on.

Even in 27/28 °C outdoor temps. RV is 35ft 5th wheel. Very happy with this purchase !.

I’ve owned this little heater for several years. It has been a very dependable heater for me. I use it in my bedroom as I’m always a bit chillier than my daughter. I put it on at bedtime, and drift away soundly!! It isn’t overly loud either.

I love the oscillation & timer functions. Only con for me is it’s appearance. While on a pretty stand, the color is really rather atrocious. It’s like a pea soup greenish color. Not a fan. No pun intended lol So it’s hidden in the corner of my room on a night stand.

I would really love if it came in a different color!! Grey, black, white. anything but the color it is!! I wouldn’t give this as a gift either because it’s just too ugly.
