There are a few different types of socks that can be used for sweaty feet in work boots. One type of sock is made of a moisture-wicking material, such as polyester, which will help to keep feet dry by pulling sweat away from the skin.
Another type of sock is made of a breathable material, such as mesh, which will allow air to circulate around the feet and help to prevent sweat from building up.
20 Best Socks For Sweaty Feet Work Boots
1. Carhartt Steel Toe Arctic Wool Boot Sock Navy XL
Fast dry technology wicks away sweat. Fights odors. High abrasion coral a st in heel and toe put steel-toe toughness in a thick wool sock. Wool insulates and moves water vapor to keep feet warm and dry.
Ribbed design offers maximum stretch and comfort. Spandex and arch support hold socks in place.
I bought these socks after looking everywhere for REAL wool socks to keep my feet warm 24/7 following chemotherapy treatments which left me with peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage) in my feet. Wool is the only natural insulator that will continue to retain heat even when wet.
After I read a previous reviewer who, following chemotherapy, was pleased with his purchase of the Artic Wool Heavyweight Boot Sock to deal with his peripheral neuropathy, I decided to do the same (and bought 4 pairs).
I was not disappointed. These socks are great! Comfortably warm and well padded. This is not my first (or last) experience with the Carhartt product line. I proudly own and wear Carhartt boots, work shoes, shirts, jackets, gloves, hats & now socks.
I’ve never been disappointed with Carhartt quality, durability and value. Thanks!.
These socks have way more wool than the typical “wool socks” sold at the local DIY Big Box stores. The socks are super thick and so up to the task for super cold weather. The main problem is that the feet tend to overheat easily and sweat.
So I find myself often needing to take the socks off to cool down. haha. Still when it’s super cold out and even inside – as it often is – these are the only socks that are up to the task that I’ve found.
Since they have some nylon then they remain tough enough for heavy use and washing also. Not as breathable as pure wool but much thicker than a typical hand-made wool sock. The sock stretches enough even after it shrinks in the drier so the size is good.
Okay, Carhartt has nailed it with these socks!! They must be made from yeti fur!!! First you notice the sheer thick quality wool, but they arnt so chunky that you end up having to wear your “big ass boots” to work.
Nope, they fit just perfect in your everyday work boot! The only way I can describe walking around in just the “yeti fur” Socks, is like stepping in powder fresh snow without the cold, or walking on a cloud (I’ve never done this but I’m imagining).
At the end of the day your old sucky wool socks will be all stretched out and clumping around your toes and arches; not the Carhartt Yeti Fur Socks!!!! They hold their damn position and statue! Thank you Carhartt!.
While steel-toed boots protect against several on-the-job injuries, the tough, heavy-weight design places some stress on your feet in the process. Alleviating that with two full-length layers of cushioning, these socks guard key wear points, all while reinforcing blister-prone areas and staying in place whenever you’re on the move.
Added to this, Carhartt’s FastDry technology wicks away moisture to deliver all-around coolness. 63% Polyester/34% Nylon/3% Lycra. FastDry technology wicks away sweat. Fights odors. Double-cushioned protection shield extends from toe to top of foot.
Extended reinforcement in heel and toe guards against blisters. Arch support and spandex hold socks securely in place. Made in USA with imported yarns.
While their is nothing wrong with the item, it didnt fully meet my expectations. I wear a 10 1/2 to 12 depending on the footwear and you cant find anything but large (6-12) on the shelves. The Carhartt socks I have are great, they didnt constantly fall down your leg and bunch up on the boot, and the heel ends up going up past my ankle.
While working they eventually bunch up painfully at the balls of my feet. So, as far as the revelation that a medium might fit better is concerned, it worked phenomenally! Just waiting on a different pair to see if those work even better.
Combining signature HeatGear fabric with Strategic Cushion and Dynamic Arch Support, the Under Armour Tactical HeatGear Over-The-Calf Socks will keep you dry, cool and cushioned. AmourBlock Technology prevents the growth of odor causing bacteria, keeping you fresh, while AmourDry material wicks away moisture and accelerates evaporation.
You’ll stay supported with the Dynamic Arch Support to help reduce foot fatigue. These tactical socks are perfect for wearing with a uniform.
My daughter bought these socks for the first time about 5 years ago. She plays rep hockey and these socks are her go to socks. She wears one red one blue that’s her hockey superstition/ ritual. Well she grew and we could not find these socks anywhere! YM turned into AM but she continues to wear the original docs.
We we ecstatic to finally find the socks on Altitude. Socks arrived and to our dismay they were AXL!.
I wore these Under Armor Tactical HeatGear OTC socks all day with a pair of cargo shorts. They were warm enough in the morning, but did not make me feel overheated later in the day when the temperature went up.
They fit snugly, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. It felt like my feet were being lightly massaged as I walked. If you have larger flippers (feet) or meaty calves, I recommend buying the extra large size.
They are made from durable, high quality materials and all the seams were perfectly straight and completed. There is no bothersome seam under your toes. These would be great to wear with work or hiking boots.
Granted, these were not expensive socks. However, paying anything over $3. 00 for these socks is too much. Here is why: These Under Armour socks are too thin. Definitely too thin in the foot and lower ankle area.
Out of the small sock package, these socks practically scream, “We’re only going to last about 4-5 games/practices before you see significant rips and holes. ” My pair already featured a small tear in the lower ankle area before trying on the first time, a tear that will only grow right away if/when used in a 2-hour practice.
The pair I received also ran a bit small. Those commenting on the size being small and thus making it difficult to wedge in proper shinguards are accurate in what they share with you in these reviews.
I would not buy these again. A very poor job from Under Armour. Caveat: If you are one who cuts away the foot section and just wears better cotton socks for your feet (like many pros do), maybe these cheap nylon/polyester UA socks can work for you.
Yes, they are thin material. Almost like mesh when stretched into place. Thus a bit more breathable. So it might work for someone playing in a hot & humid game situation. But don’t pay anything over $3.
Designed for people whose job requires them to stand most of the day; provides maximum foot protection and comfort while wearing work shoes and boots. This sock is designed so your feet are not a distraction so you can focus on the work at hand.
The sock has compression (12 mmHg) through the top to reduce fatigue in the legs and provides support to your the calf muscles. Arch and ankle support helps reduce foot fatigue.
I love these socks. They are comfortable and durable. I use them for my daily walks. They are a bit tight to put on, but it’s not a problem. One just has to be a bit careful how to put them on. These socks hug the foot.
These aren’t my first Thorlo because I was a runner and I used their socks before they had this particular model. But these outdoor athlete socks are the best. I like the cushioning. I have used these particular socks for several years now and I’m glad I can still find them.
But they don’t wear out at all! I just got a bunch for a friend of mine who liked my own socks after seeing them on my feet!!.
Reviews are relative. This was my experience. The foot of the sock was among the most comfortable I know. Truly like a second skin, but not restrictive. Pleasantly snug and quite perfect. The leg of the sock was also excellent.
For my taste, the leg wasnt long enough for my leg. It came to the widest part of the calf, without going all the way over the calf. Judging by the fit of the foot bed, I think it was the right size for me, so, going up a size for more leg length wouldn’t work, I dont think.
Also, there was a slight bit of ‘cording’ at the top hem. By that, I mean it was a little tighter than the leg of the sock, so there was an impression in my leg. Now, that is MY leg, which is starting to hold a little fluid as I age, so it could be perfect for others.
For me personally, another few inches of length would solve my issues, but everyone can’t expect a custom fit just for them. The socks are wonderful and I am proud they are made in my home state. I definitely will be keeping my eye on your products.
I had the same exact socks before and I love them. I’m so glad I was able to find some more. My previous ones are still in excellent shape, but I wanted to have extras. Thanks for the great service and thanks for carrying those excellent socks.
The feel good on the foot and I I like the padding. I have a narrow foot and these socks padding is what I need to fill the gap in my shoes. Hope it will always be possible to buy them.
I purchased these socks a few weeks ago. I didn’t know what to expect. I have never bought performance socks, but I know I needed them. I recently got a job working night shift 10hrs a night on concrete in metatarsal boots.
I started to Google women’s work socks and found these. There were other brands but I thought the description and the photo did justice for the sock. 3 weeks later and a few washings and they are still like new.
Remember I work 10 hrs in these. They hold up well and my feet do not sweat. Smell, yup but they keep me dry and I have had no issues with my feet. I started to get hammer toes and that has since subsided too.
Great socks, excellent quality! Will be buying more socks from here when I need them.
I’ve questioned the design of “walking†socks for decades. Yes, I need cushioning under my feet. Yes, I like the idea of cushioning over my instep – especially since I often vary tension in shoelaces depending upon the sort of walking I have in mind for that day.
Never found a technical reason for adding a uniform cushioning layer around the whole interior of socks. Warmth is legit…if you’re buying socks for warmth. Cost of manufacture has undoubtedly been the primary driver of that uniform layer decision.
Fox River has made a decision on the side of technical good sense that works for me and my feet. I’ve been a recreational walker, an exercise walker since a teenager. And that’s a lot of years ago.
In a couple of weeks, I’ll be 83 years young. As well as I can see into the future, an hour or so every day will continue to be spent walking for fun and exercise…and it will be spent with my feet inside a pair of Fox River Trailmasters.
These are really great basic socks. I bought Bootpro, Heritage, and these for my intro to Fox River, and I’d place Heritage a strong 1st, these 2nd, and Bootpro 3rd. These are comparable in weight to Heritage, thinner than the Bootpro.
These don’t quite hug my foot the same as Heritage, and they also lack the cool visual appeal, but they feel great and they stay up. They also don’t bond to my rough feet like Bootpro, which is nice.
These would be great as a staple in the sock drawer since they’re more affordable. Grab a couple black and a couple white, then test out the others as the budget allows while you grind away in these.
Fight sweat and odors so you can keep your cool. These men’s force performance ankle work socks are sweat-wicking with fast dry technology. The compression arch provides full-motion support and stability so you can outwork them all.
Built for those who spend all day on their feet, the reinforced heel and toe delivers extra durability where you need it most; so you can count on these cushioned socks lasting as long as your favorite footwear.
Bought Carhartt socks for many, many , many years. I usually have at least a couple dozen in my drawer. These are not at all what they used to be. They used to be primarily cotton, good weight, and great fit.
These sucks are about 1/3 the weight, and way too tight. I mean TIGHT!. They are so tight they squeeze my toes together. I have to remove my boots and socks at lunch break simply to get some air to my toes.
They are crushed together because of my socks. They also create a very sweaty environment inside my work boots. Although I have never worn pantyhose, I have to put them on the same way my wife used to have to put on her pantyhose…pinching the super thin fabric and inching it on a little at a time.
Do NOT buy these socks if you are looking for a decent quality cotton sweat sock. I threw 2 dozen away. It is ridiculous that Carhartt makes this (in another country) and tries to pawn them off as durable cotton work socks.
Please Carhartt, charge more and make a decent sock. These suck and suck bad. Leaves rings and marks on my ankles and feet they are so TIGHT.
Been buying these Carhartt socks for years. always a fan of these socks. Always been extremely comfortable and long lasting and of Quality, usually wore them out before the would become “ quitters”….
meaning the elastic would wear out and the top would sag. The one I just order are NOT of the same quality, very , very thin feel to them , I highly doubt they will last ! Didn’t know if Carhartt using a different manufacturer or probably being made over sea now.
So much for being made in the USA ! Very thin material now…. definitely won’t hold up. Not the Quality I’ve come expect from Carhartt !.
These crew work socks are by far made with less quality than before. These were the only socks I’ve purchased for several years. I just ordered new ones and they are now they are made way thinner than before and also seems like less cotton is being used.
Far from the quality the regular Carhartt customers came to expect and enjoy for the money spent. I wont be purchasing these any more unless they go back to how they made them in past. Cutting corners to save money = loss of reliable customers.
Expand your sock collection with this six-pack of Ladies Dritech Crew Socks from Dickies. Made of a soft cotton-polyester blend with a bit of spandex, these socks have temperature regulation that will keep your feet cool during the summer and cozy during the winter.
The arch compression provides support and stability, while the moisture control fibers keep your feet dry. The cushioned heel and toe provides comfort even in work boots and the non-bulky design allows them to fit comfortably in most shoes.
Try them with your favorite casual sneakers, athletic shoes and work shoes.
These socks are comfortable for both exercise and regular wear. Interestingly, I have very big legs, but they do not feel too tight on me unlike many other reviews have stated. I usually do have a problem with finding socks that don’t bind me too tightly at the top so I am pleased with that.
I took off stars, because all my socks were black or dark gray. I did not get the colored ones pictured on the top row. Also, despite reviews going back for at least 2 years stating the following: Description says: 63% Cotton, 35% Polyester, 1% Spandex, 1% Nylon Truth is: 96% Polyester, 2% Spandex, 2% Rubber.
They still have not fixed this problem. Description on website still says they contain cotton, but when you get the package you see they contain none. Finally, the length is much closer to a knee sock than a crew sock.
Bought these for my wife. She based her choice on the picture from the web site. The one with a pink solid color sock as the first sock. When the package arrived they were white socks with multiple colors on them.
She didn’t want white as we are working in GA red clay! She wanted solid colors. When looking at these socks, check the description, not the picture!.
On Dickie’s website the product fiber content of these socks was 65% cotton, which is why I ordered them. They were 100% polyester. I was very disappointed and called Dickie‘s and returned them. The associate promised to email me information about the product I was looking for and I never heard anything.
SKU 37260761 – Dickies Dri-tech comfort 6 Pairs best work boot length socks with wicking, moisture management fibers keeps feet dry, ventilation channels engineered for air circulation and moisture control, arch compression hugs feet and keeps socks in place, while providing in-step support, Reciprocated heel and toe for superior fit and full cushion comfort.
Finally, a pair of socks that are comfortable in all respects. I wear size 11 shoes and have been searching for socks that are not tight on my feet which prefer wider shoes. I took a chance and bought the size 12-14 and they are perfect fit without feeling tight on my feet.
Length seems just right for size 11 foot. I don’t understand how some socks can fit size 6-11 without being poor fit for one end or the other. These are very well reinforced and slightly padded on the soles and stay up nicely on the calf.
And equally great is the price for 6 pair and seem very well made. Will buy more.
Dickies says 11750 socks are 53% poly, 41 cotton, 5nylon, and 1 spandex. Pkg says 72 cotton, 26 poly, 2 spandex. IMO more cotton = longer dry time, less moisture-wicking, more shrinkage when washed, and less wear.
A bean counter must have figured a way to make them cheaper. Fit my 8. 5 nice. Kind of thin for a “performance work” sock. Time will tell.
Nice quality socks—Dickie’s makes good socks. Pros: No cotton! (the worst sock fiber). Smooth comfortable toe closure seam. Cons: they are LONG. If your feet are less than 10. 5 the heel will slide up in back.
They are LOOSE. End of the day they’ll be moving around. Bottom line: great price, above average quality. If you have large feet, these should do just fine for every day.
Dickies dri-tech comfort 6 Pairs crew with wicking, moisture management fibers keeps feet dry, ventilation channels engineered for air circulation and moisture control, arch compression hugs feet and keeps socks in place, while providing in-step support, Reciprocated heel and toe for superior fit and full cushion comfort.
I have bought Hanes for my husband for years. I think Hanes sells most of their socks in bulk because they just don’t last very long. It doesn’t take 2 or 3 months of weekly washings to begin seeing the stretch starting to give out.
With Dickies you can feel and see they are much higher quality. He says the fit is similar to Hanes. I haven’t had them long enough to pass the 2 or 3 month washing test. So far they come out of the wash looking they just came out of the package!.
The real work sock. Cotton. This bag contains up to 70% pre-consumer recycled material. Antimicrobial odor control. Arch support. Ankles. Reinforced heel & toe. Extra cushioning. Best fitting heel & toe.
I purchased these Mens Work Gear Tube Socks at our Walmart one time a while ago. They are very thin material and course. They also wear holes into them very fast. Because of the thin material. I needed new Fruit of the Loom tube socks to replace my Men’s Dual Defense Tube Socks that are a lot softer, comfortable and lasts a lot longer than these Men’s Work Gear Tube Socks.
Unfortunately, since manufacturers and stores prefer not to carry ample stock in the stores anymore and expect everyone to purchase everything online these days. I made the mistake of purchasing these horrible Fruit of the Loom socks again through the Fruit of the Loom online store.
I returned them, and now in the process of waiting for Fruit of the Loom to refund my money. The return process appears to be easy, but the sad part is I purchased these with their first time buyer discount and now will have to purchased the Men’s Dual Defense Tube Socks at full price cost, because I wasted my first time buyer discount on ordering their wrong horrible product first.
This is why I dislike buying clothing items online. You have no way of feeling the type of material, if the size is the correct fit size for your body, and then returning the items becomes such a hassle and you are without the article of clothing you were needing in the first place for an additional week or however long it takes to do the return and purchased and shipped again.
I frequently buy these socks, but this is the first time I ordered directly from the brand. They are a much-requested Christmas present item so I buy them for all the men in the family at least once a year.
They are comfortable and fit as expected. The length is right where tube socks are supposed to be and they stay in place. My dad wears socks with flip flops so that puts extra strain on the big toe so he always wears a hole in that spot and that is why they get replaced frequently.
The quality is as expected, though socks can always benefit from reinforced toes.
Well after waiting 2 weeks for my order to get to my house. I open the package and pulled out the socks. They where in a plastic big and put in a nether plastic bag. Witch seemed funny. Why but a plastic bag in a nether plastic bag.
But I find out why as soon as I open the first plastic bag. The smell was terrible. They shipped me socks that someone spilled something nasty on. Relly nice right? Had to wash them three times to get the smell out.
Smooth toe seams, full cushioned leg and foot and moisture wicking technology combine for fine quality socks. Ultra dri moisture wicking for cool dry comfort. Full cushioned leg and foot. Arch support for fit and comfort.
Having to be in work boots all day makes for a long day, especially when having to deal with sweaty socks. Most work boot socks are made with cotton or wicking fibers like polyester, nylon, acrylic or wool which cannot keep feet dry.
Drymax Work Boot Socks have a special Dual Layer Moisture Removal System. This system instantly moves moisture from the skin, through the inner Drymax layer to the outer absorbent layer, keeping the feet dry.
This is the same system used to keep marathon runners’ feet dry for 26. 2 miles. The Work Boot sock is a High Density protective padded sock. Using dense padding, as opposed to thick padding, protects feet without adversely affecting the fit of the boots.
The Work Boot Socks are designed for use in cold to hot conditions, keeping feet dry, comfortable and odor free all day long.
Upon first arrival I noticed the socks were packaged like many other small articles of clothing using those little white plastic things called tag fasteners. I wish companies would stop doing this because it’s a pain to remove them without damaging the fabric.
It’s very easy to start a hole in your brand new pair of socks if you’re not careful about removing this stupidly cheap packing material. Now that that’s out of the way. I’ll start off by saying I have worn socks of various materials; from nylon, cotton, bamboo, merino wool, and more.
I was drawn into purchasing these socks because they were advertised as having this “Drymax Olefin” fabric, which was promoted to wick away moisture from my feet. I work in a fairly chilly warehouse and my feet tend to get very sweaty while wearing safety-toed shoes.
After I get home everyday, I immediately take off these new socks and find that my feet are so drenched in sweat that I easily slip around on the hard wood floor. I switched to an old pair of merino wool socks and did not experience this problem.
After multiple weeks of wear I can conclude that these socks provided no improvement to my sweaty feet problem when compared to any other pair of socks I’ve worn. Overall, the comfort and quality of the materials feels nice and I can see these lasting longer than most of my socks.
BUT, I’m highly dissatisfied with these socks in their advertised ability to wick away sweat.
My adult son was battling athlete’s foot. His feet sweated profusely in his work boots. I found these socks and sent him 4 pairs. He loved them! So I sent him 6 more! Between OTC treatment for athlete’s foot and much drier feet, his condition is cured!!! Thanks for making great moisture wicking socks for hard working men!! (And women!).
I tend to have cold feet, and for some reason this causes my feet to sweat when wearing socks, especially steel toed work boots. I was hoping these socks would help avoid the extra humidity. At the end of the work day, I tend to have soaked socks.
The only thing I observed with these socks, my feet get less wet, but they don’t stay dry for more than an hour. I went from completely soaked socks to somewhat damp socks.
Never underestimate the importance of good socks. With the Danner TFX Hot Weather Drymax Over-The-Calf Socks, your feet and shins will be comfortable during long days on your feet. These socks feature the Dual Layer Moisture Removal System, which moves moisture away from the skin to keep your feet dry.
The inner layer, made of Drymax fibers, repels sweat from the inside to the outer layer which allows your sweat to evaporate faster than regular moisture-wicking socks. Drymax fibers contain anti-microbial Microzap silver for odor control.
Whether you are on active duty, training exercises, or out in the field, you need propper foot care. Extreme heat conditions can make your boots hot and uncomfortable, which may lead to heavy sweating, damp socks, and odor.
With Danner TFX Drymax Over-Calf Socks, you can have the level of foot protection and comfort you deserve while putting in long hours at work.
Absolutely fantastic over-calf black socks perfect for a size 12. The fit is excellent for the feet and feels great during long shifts. Highly recommend for people that are interested in black socks for work or casual daily wear.
This should be a part of anyones sock drawer. User be ware that the socks do have a firm fitting for the calf circumference and this should be taken into consideration during time of purchase. My calves measure at around 19 inches in circumference at its thickest point and fits into the socks very snug.
Any calves bigger than 20 inches in circumference might not have a comfortable experience in my consumer opinion. All in all 5/5 Stars!.
I bought several pairs of these a few years back and they’re the best combat boot socks I’ve ever worn. When I had to order new socks in coyote brown for the new ocp uniform I immediately ordered 10 more pairs in size L (I wear a size 11 boot).
The new socks aren’t nearly as good as the old ones. They were tight the first time I put them on but I figured they might just need some breaking in. Now 6 months later they just seem to be getting tighter and tighter.
I contacted Danner to see if they had a batch that was manufactured incorrectly. The response that I got was that they had changed suppliers and the fitment may not be the same. They suggested that I re-order new socks in xl.
To me, that indicates a huge quality control issue at Danner. Selling a sock that fits differently (especially $15 a pair socks) under the same model name and size chart is not something I would expect from a company with a reputation for high quality products like Danner.
This has undermined the trust that I have that their products will fit and perform as advertised and I will be looking elsewhere for my next pair of boots and socks.
This was a re-order of these socks. I am extremely pleased with the TFX Hot Weather Dry Max socks for year round performance. They breathe allowing my feet to stay dry and comfortable in the summer and winter.
I highly recommend them to others looking for a year round over the calf boot socks that breathe.
The Jefferies Women’s Sport Quarter Seamless Lightweight Cotton Ankle Socks are so soft and comfortable. They are not too thin or too thick so to me they are the perfect thickness to provide comfort without being too bulky cause shoes to be tight.
They are thin enough and warm to wear everyday with tennis shoes to boots. Peds socks have always been my favorites. Glad I was able to finally find them. Haven’t seen them since they were sold at Mervyn’s.
Crafted from a premium blend of Merino wool and copper threads, the Merino OTC Boot Sock complements all 5. 11 Tactical footwear. Its over-the-calf length promotes all-day support, while nanoGLIDE construction delivers exceptional comfort in any environment.
Integrated ankle and arch support as well as heel, sole, and toe reinforcements offer enhanced performance and durability. The Merino OTC Boot Sock is antimicrobial-treated and moisture-wicking, ensuring that youll stay warm, dry, and ready.
Superior comfort, agility, and traction make this sock ideal for any mission and everyday wear. Made in the USA.
This is my first time using Marino wool socks but I had high hopes as I was told they keep your feet drier. They are SUPER comfortable and fit well. I tried them out on a 6 mile ruck and while they felt good, my feet still felt wet at the end and got a small blister on my toe.
I ruck and run a lot using cheap socks from Costco and don’t ever have problems with blisters, so this was a bit disappointing. I’m going to assume that they need to be broken in a bit like shoes. For the high price tag I was hoping for more, but they are comfortable and thick and may be better suited for winter activity.
This is the second time I ordered these socks. The last pairs I bought lasted for four or five years with constant wearing for outside work! They are a good calf length, stay in place all day and wash well! I just hope they never discontinue making these because they are my favorite!.
I have several pairs of both the over the calf and crew socks in all three colors. The socks are comfortable and do breath well. They also feel good while wearing my 5. 11 ATAC boots and moisture from sweat has never been an issue.
The socks stay up and do not tend to work their way down my legs as the day goes by. The gunmetal and coyote colors also look great when I’m in plain clothes. Now for the negatives. I have had a pair rip around the heel after wearing them about 15 times.
I’ve also had a couple of pairs develop holes in the toe area after about 4 to 5 months of use. All of my other pairs have held up so far. To be fair, the item description doesn’t imply the socks are intended for heavy duty use but for the price I was disappointed they wore out so quickly.
These Under Armour Hitch ColdGear Boot Socks are built with comfort specs for long days on your feet. They are fully cushioned, providing ample comfort and warmth all day long. The embedded arch helps lessen fatigue caused by that, too.
Plus, Charged Wool is soft like regular wool while wicking away sweat and drying it up at a faster rate. Wear these Socks for long hikes, long shifts, or long days in the field. Danner’s quick-drying synthetic blend is treated with FreshGuard to eliminate odor and seam-free toe design reduces bunching and blisters, ensuring long lasting comfort whether you’re on patrol or at the station.
The perfect match for warm conditions. Seam-free toe reduces bunching and blisters Targeted cushion and venting zones Arch support helps reduce fatigue Made in USA with imported fibers Quick-drying comfort Washed with Fresh Guard to help eliminate odors 61% Polyester/28% Nylon/8% Merino Wool/3% Lycra.
These socks were to big for my feet and I purchased the correct size for my corresponding boot size, 9 1/2-10. I also found them scratchy and not soft like other brands of Merino wool socks. Very disappointing.
These mid weight crew socks are just about perfect. I ordered 3 pairs for my husband this Christmas, after getting him one pair last Christmas. The large size is generous, and they hold up to hot water washing and don’t shrink.
I don’t put them in the dryer, and they dry overnite. They’re my husband’s favorite socks. The price is high, but worth every penny.
High-performance wool-blend socks at a great price, Cabela’s Medium-Weight Wool Boot Socks for Men 4-Pair Pack keeps feet warm and dry through the most grueling outdoor adventure. A great choice for hunters and other outdoorsmen, these 20% wool/65% acrylic/15% stretch nylon blend socks give guys lightweight warmth with moisture-wicking comfort and easy moving flexibility.
Cushioned feet, along with heel and toe pockets, provide superior comfort all day long. Nylon reinforcement in strategic areas boosts durability and reduces the wear and tear many socks suffer during long hikes.
Height: 11″. 4-pair pack. Made in USA. High-performance wool boot socks at a great price 20% wool/65% acrylic/15% stretch nylon blend Lightweight, warm, moisture-wicking comfort Cushioned feet Heel and toe pockets Strategic nylon reinforcement – greater durability 4-pair pack.
I have 15-20 pair of these socks. Some I’ve worn for 2 years, some during last winter. I’ll be wearing them again this winter. Those folks who claim they got holes after a short time must have some other problem than the socks.
Maybe their shoes/boots are too tight. Maybe they wore the same socks over and over again and just wore them out. All I know is that every pair of my socks had been worn several times over the cold season with zero holes and zero loss of electricity.
My only issue is that because they are so wonderfully thick, they fill up my sock drawer. I buy these socks because they are warm, wick moisture nicely, are thick and prevent blisters and give me long wear.
I’ll be buying another bag or two two this winter.
I’m not even the outdoors type. However I could never find a pair of socks that kept my feet dry from sweat and warm for winter. My feet always get cold or always hot and sweaty. These changed that. I never complain about hot or cold feet especially wet feet.
These are amazing. Only complaint. They get holes in bottom fairly quickly. But the price point it well worth it. Not bad at all.
I began buying these several years ago for the kids, now everyone in the family wants them! I buy several pairs of these every year for the family and have had no complaints. Still own the original pair I bought way back when.
Very comfortable, durable, and with the amount of warmth one would expect for a medium weight sock. Great product!.
These were too big for my feet to begin with, with the toe box area especially wide, and the calf area especially tight (even though I don’t have much there?), although I followed the size chart. I washed them as instructed- inside out, tumble dry low, hoping they would shrink a bit, and one of them shrank.
Just one. ! How does that happen?! So one fits better, and the other stayed the same. There is a seam *inside*, above your toe line, that happens to be the burnt synthetic material. It’s hard and scratchy, not something mildly annoying I can look past, as I would have to stop and adjust while hiking if it rubbed up against the wrong place to prevent blisters.
I have not worn them out due to this. My socks also do not look like these colors close up- the stitching is more random with blue in the grey and grey in the blue. Overall I’m disappointed in the construction of this product.
I will update if the performance is anything to note. IMO, if I’m going to pay $20 for socks shouldn’t have such a harsh seam, and they should fit my feet! #bummed.
I recently decided to restart hiking, after over a decade of not. I need all new gear and thought these socks would fit my needs. First, they’re inexpensive compared to wool socks. Second, they’re synthetic.
Third, they look cool. Anyway, I tried them on in the store and they fit. I also tried Darn Tough socks but their sizes are not accurate. Regardless, I purchased the REI co-op socks and washed them. After one wash and not wearing them, they are already fuzzy.
This indicates to me that they’re not as high quality as I hoped. If they’re already coming apart after one wash, how well will they hold up on a weekend or longer hike? I’m a bit concerned and don’t think I’ll use them now.
Thankfully, REI will take them back. I’m not sure what I’m going to do now because the Darn Tough socks are either way too big or way too small, at least the socks I tried on were. Anyway, these could be an affordable and quality pair of socks, but given the indication they’re already coming apart I would not recommend purchase.
I’m 71 and bought these boots for wet weather fitness hiking. Surprised how comfortable they were first time out right out of the box. After 2 separate hour long walks it was time to play golf so decided to wear the boots for 18 holes.
On the golf course it’s 4 hours on my feet walking and hitting golf shots, the boots were tremendously comfortable. Two days later played golf at McCormick Woods wearing the Cross Hikes. McCormick is a tough hilly course to walk in the summer when its nice and dry.
The course had standing water on most holes and was mostly saturated. Walked right through several winter time creeks and all kinds of mud. feet stayed completely dry. The Cross Hikes are great for hiking and I’m quite sure I’ll never buy another pair of golf shoes! Come April I’ll buy a pair of low Cross Hikes for summer golf.
Great boots. anxious to get a pair of the low Cross Hikes!.
