20 Best Sleeves For Vinyl Records (2023 Updated)

I actually bought these by accident. I have always purchased paper interior record sleeves to replace old torn ones or replace missing ones in albums I have purchased. These worked really well and were easier to insert into the record covers and will last longer than the paper ones since they wont wrinkle or tear.

They should age better than the paper counterparts which tend to get stiff and brittle. These were stiff enough that they didnt wrinkle when being placed into the albums.

These sleeves are just OK. They are not as good as the MoFi sleeves mostly because the MoFi’s have a paper support layer making them somewhat stiffer, easier to use and open. The cut edge on these sleeves is even, and so you have to fiddle with it to get it open.

The material is good and I will use them, but I would rather pay more for the MoFi.

The sleeves are certainly better than paper sleeves, and they are very cost efficient. However, the sleeves tend to have static in them already, so I have to use an anti static brush in the sleeves to keep them from sticking and charging the record.

Other than that, theyre good.

These are my go-to inner sleeves for all my 12″ records. They are sturdy, fairly static reistant, and don’t scratch up my beloved vinyl. Comparable to BigFudge brand, but feel like a better quality and provide the extra static resistance I need to help keep my records clean.

Always worth the purchase price (usually about $1 or less per sleeve) to save the vinyl and keep them playing for another 40+ years. Plus, replacing the original inners with these helps reduce wear on original lyric-sheet inners and keep them intact as well.

Highly recommend MoFi inner sleeves for all vinyl collectors.

I have about 300 LPs and all of them have Mofi sleeves. I cannot express enough how much better they are than paper sleeves. Every time you pull a record from a paper sleeve you are making tiny scratches on your records.

I cringe when I pull out a record from a paper sleeve for the first time. Just hold them out in the sun and youll see what I mean. That said, I really wish they (the mofis) were paper on both sides so they werent so flimsy.

They do make paper sleeves Lined with plastic but the paper on the outside is exposed and I wonder if that would yellow over time. So I stick to the Mofis and it works. Not the best but put better than paper alone.

I’m No Longer an Audiophile due to Hearing Damage BUT Even Though I don’t Hear as Well as in the Past, POPs & CLICKS From Static are CLEARLY Audible. These MOFI Inner Sleeves DO Reduce Static ( In My Opinion ) AND They Do Help to Smoothly Slide the LP Out to Play.

Of Course They Almost Eliminate DUST Collecting on Your Vinyl which Your Stylus Grinds into the Grooves. Obviously They DO NOT Eliminate the NEED for CLEANING Your LPs with a Good Quality Brush & Solution Both Before & After Playing ! In My Experience They also Help prevent Edge Cuts on the Jackets ’cause they are Strong & Durable enough to avoid the LP from wearing/slicing Thru Themselves.

Of Course eventually Even They must be Replaced IF the Record is Removed and Reinserted enough times ! Though the LP Will Probably need to be Replaced by that Time ! LesB.

this is a wonderful product at a great price. just what i needed to replace my worn out lp vinyl inner sleeve inserts. most of my collection is from the 1970’s so their long over due for new inserts.

these inserts are of good quality.

The shape design is good to fit into covers but they wrinkle up every time you put in and take out album!! The paper ones hold up better! Have to toss wrinkled ones and replace with a new ones too often!!.

I strongly prefer these to square style sleeves as they do not bunch at the corners. Have purchased these multiple times and have never found a defect or had a seam fail. These are fantastic.

Very good to preserve your lp covers new and old. They are a snug fit with enough room for double albums. I always put the album covers in from the bottom, with the sleeve open on top so they dont slip out on the shelf etc.

Will Cover all gatefold albums and 99% of all double albums with room to spare. Covers are good quality and zero defects. I have ordered multiple packs of 100 and used them. Remember SIZE is important 12.

These are the standard white inner sleeves. They are always reasonably priced & made of good quality.

I actually thought I was ordering square inner sleeves, I need to pay more attention it was my fault still good quality product..

I recently purchased these MOFI Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab MFSL Archival OUTER Record Sleeves to help preserve and protect my investment in my vinyl collection. As I plan to move soon, I wanted to be proactive in protecting my albums and ensure I keep dust & humidity from them, so I purchased the inner sleeves as well as the protective outer sleeves.

They fit as expected (always been quite satisfied with MOFI products, and would absolutely recommend them as a great value.

Perfect outer sleeve for records. 4 mil is just the right thickness and the quality of the sleeves is perfect. Add turntablelab’s incredible shipping department and it’s an A++ all-around.

These covers are super transparent. The only issue I’ve found is that they tear when you put too much force along one edge when trying to put them on. Once I started being more care about slipping them over the LP cover, I stopped tearing the sleeves.

Otherwise, I’m happy with the sleeves and would buy again. I’ve bought BCW poster covers, as well. They are superior quality. Because of my previous experience with these, I decided to buy the album sleeves.

I’m glad I made this choice.

Had to keep the “dust” and “crap” off the album. This takes care of that. Light weight and sturdy enough. If it breaks, replace the sleeve and move on. This is NOT BODY ARMOR. Will buy again when the time comes.

I have used a few other types of sleeves but will continue getting these polypropylene ones for the foreseeable future. Other sleeves I find get cloudy over time from continuous sliding in and out of my shelf, distorting visibility through the sleeve, this can be further amplified if one of my records has a matte finish.

These sleeves are super smooth, sliding them into place is easy, removing or inserting items is a breeze, and I prefer the thin feeling as well; I am able to sleeve multiple records and still have them fit within a box set case thingy.

Just don’t try and force any large 3 disc gate-folds into it, double albums fit, but no go on the Fragile. The overall value is great.

I never give any product review a TOP RATING. that’s just me. These outer sleeves are just what I wanted. Some of my LP’s were a bit big (double albums or fold-over single LP’s) to fit easily. I wish that there were some larger multiple LP outer sleeves but I found that the packing sleeves these came it worked for a bit of a fix to protect my box sets.

I have bought these before and will continue to buy them as future needs warrant.

Could be slightly larger, especially for a double album. Gives the cover a real nice look but very slippery when albums are laying on top of each other. They tend to slide off. I have a used record shop and customers are pulling albums out to purchase and laying them on top of each other until eventually they slip onto the floor or table.

I wanted to clean my vinyl collection, catalogue it and replace the old paper sleeves which harbour dust and are difficult to extract from the inner sleeve. I have tried two spincare products. The rounded one and this one.

The rounded one was good, but this version is better. The slim square shape slides easily in and out of the jacket and I love the paper backing too because it frames the vinyl. I have ordered more already.

Does exactly what I need, replacing old discoloured paper sleeves after the record has been cleaned. Fits perfectly into original outer sleeves helping me restore a long neglected collection of LPs.

Bought these sleeves to protect my album jackets and they are great. The jackets fit perfectly inside the sleeves and they don’t stick to the album jacket like some other sleeves do. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants to keep their record collection in pristine condition.

Quality product at REALLY great prices when purchased as bundled packages of 3 or more, which also includes P&P, excellent!. Negative comments elsewhere about NOT fitting double gatefold LPs does not apply to the SPINCARE covers I received, so really pleased with my purchase.

Great Quality at a Great Price. Bought these to keep my old and new vinyl albums in pristine condition, does a great job, easily ideal for both single and double albums, I have managed to get a triple album in but beware it is a tight fit, all in all would highly recommend this product.

Outer sleeves are good – pretty standard, like you would get a store already on your album. Not as clear as the Groove Vinyl sleeves (these are slightly cloudy) and are softer/less sturdy. If you are aware of the Groove Vinyl outer sleeves they are very clear (Albums look great inside the sleeve) but they are a bit stiff.

These are soft and a touch cloudy, but protect your LPs just fine for a bit less $$.

I’ve picked up a bunch of old records for $1 a piece at flea market with some of the covers not in great shape. These are plenty thick enough and do a good job protecting these albums. And getting 25 slerves for $10 you can’t beat it.

I prefer the kind with the fold over flap but this was all I could get here. The thickness is nice and doesn’t make an annoying crackle. Once you open it and put a sleeve in it it’s pretty easy to get it in and out.

I only bought the pack of 25 and found it wasn’t enough so I’m getting more.

I have several hundred vinyls(old 33 RPM LPs), some dating back to the 1950s. Many of them are NOT available on CD and/or no longer available or available only at an outrageous price. I want to preserve them for current and future use by me and my family.

They must be cared for and preserved. These resealable poly bags are much thicker and smoother than the original bags in which some were originally packaged. They are ideal to preserve my vintage vinyl collection.

Great clear sleeves. These are perfect for storing your vinyl LPs. If you insert the LP sleeve into the storage sleeve with the image on the sleeve up and the storage sleeve to the side and the closure at the back side of the LP you have a completely sealed and clearly visible unimpeded view of the album which you then have access to simply by opening the sealed enclosure and pulling out the inner sleeve.

These work perfectly and the price is amazing for what you are getting.

Exactly the ultra clear resealable plastic protectors I was looking for! It’s perfect for a single LP, and it wil also work with a gatefold LP, though the closure won’t have quite as much slack. Highly recommended!.

Purchased these for a handful of vintage 1970 master audio LPs I recent rediscovered. These sounded close to what I was looking (actual LP record protectors), but in fact they seem to be for full album (including cardboard sleeve) protection instead.

As a result, they do not work well as paper sleeve replacements for the actual records themselves. So beware the application you have for them. As their details could be a little more clear on the intended use of the sleeves, I’m giving them only an average rating.

For what I think its intended application is, I’d give it 5 stars probably. For the application in mind (record sleeve), I would not recommend it.

I am blind and I was hesitant to buy album sleeves that require folding over a flap because I would not be able to see to get them sealed correctly. As it turns out, my fears were unfounded because these sleeves are super easy to use.

They hold even my larger gatefold cover 180 gram double album sets, and sealing them is not a challenge for me at all. I will be purchasing more of these to fully protect my almost 400 album collection.

and I look forward to how easily and quickly I will be able to complete the project, because I finally found archival quality sleeves that work for me.

Tears apart very easily. Comes apart at the seams when trying to insert album cover. Would not recommend this, thin flimsy material. I gently insert album and it comes apart at the seams.

I would buy the 3 ml instead of these. These are thinner and they show creases and marks if they are the least bit bent. They will protect the 7 inch sleeves and if you do not bend them at all they will not show creases.

Just pulling the 7 inch out of these causes creases and shows up so over time they will look wrinkled. Rates as Ok as they do protect and are clear and shinny when new with a cheap price. My 3 ml are not quite as clear but do not show creases and bend with no devects as these do.

Ive been using these poly lined sleeves for most of my 45s for a long time. BCW is one of the few companies that actually make them for 45s anyway so this company will always get my business. A lot of people are saying theyre short or dont fit the records so heres a couple of pics to show how they fit so you know exactly what youre getting.

They are a bit shorter than some of my corporate sleeves but I would recommend that you get some quality 3 mil outer sleeves to keep these in and problem solved. Most record collectors will do this anyway and BCW makes those too!.

I was able to fit the picture sleeve and a white sleeve with the record in the same bag! Thin enough not too take up allot of room but strong enough to protect and support. Only time will tell how they will hold up but for now they do what I want them to do.

I also used these to protect my records that have original matching sleeves. Awesome all around.

I purchased several bundles of the CHECKOUTSTORE ° brand of current clear thick & current clear regular bags via an authorized online vendor back in 2018 when a trade war seemed inevitable. I was fortunate because competitor products were becoming hard to come by in brick and mortar LCBSs.

I initially bought them for the price but I have concluded these are the my preferred brand of comic book bags based on quality, durability and the bottom line, cost. Buy these supplies whenever they return in stock or seek them out at your area local comic book shop.

Try them out and you will be pleasantly surprised!.

Glad I tried these as they are just as great as the brand I previously used but has been out of stock for months. The 3 mil are a bit easier to manage but these 4 mil seem more rugged. Crystal clear with a properly positioned and secure adhesive strip.

I priced similar sleeves online and these were by far the cheapest. I ordered 500, because for the price, why not? I knew they would be thinner than what I was used to using and I was worried about the quality and if they’d truly be able to hold 2xLP’s.

Even with the way I store them—cover (even double gatefold) separate from the inner sleeve with album(s)—everything fit. There’s not a ton of wiggle room for some of my higher gram double LPs, but there’s plenty to ensure proper storage and no ring wear.

I wish I could attach pictures, but they really do fit well and sit well on the shelf. I’ll definitely be buying more as my collection expands!.

These fit 12 inch laserdiscs and make a great upgrade if your discs have the old just plastic cheap sleeves. These sleeves are a major upgrade for storing and selling used laserdiscs – gets rid of the cheap only flimsy plastic standard with many older laserdiscs.

Paper is light but good quality and is lined with plastic center that really holds laserdisc better and makes them look a lot better and provide better protection.

I didn’t realize exactly what I had purchased, but when they arrived,WOW what a suprise. I got more than what I had thought, Love Them and will order more. Replacing all the old paper sleeves with these great protection.

I prefer these sleeves over the full plastic because i like the sturdiness the paper provides while the inner poly still protects the vinyl from being scratched. i’ve purchased about 300 so far and have had no complaints, however it would be nice if there was an option to get them in black rather than only white paper.

Basically, I thought the record sleeves were paper and was quite surprised and a bit disappointed when I discovered they were plastic sleeves. I’ll make use of them, but it wasn’t what I was expecting.

These are very good inner sleeves. I replace all the paper sleeves on all my vinyl with these and this has served me well for minimizing scuffs and damage. They are not as good as the MoFi sleeves, but they cost way less.

they protect from dust, scraches., even the dust jackes of the paper covers. the only bad thing is they don’t have holes in middle so can be handeled w/o slipping if have too manny record’s in hand.

These are heavy duty album covers that will last a long time. They are also big enough that you won’t have any problems getting your album into them.

This are perfect; a bit loose for single jacket, but if you’re like me or any other collector, you have some gatefolds, and those fit perfectly.
