20 Best Sleep Aid For Epilepsy (2023 Updated)

As a doctor and surgeon, I am obviously very particular about my supplements or medicine. I have trouble sleeping and on the days I have surgery, I cannot take a sleep aid that make me groggy the night before.

I got this after seeing a recommendation on TikTok. I have had an issue with picking the skin around my fingernails since I was a teenager (I’m now 32). I don’t know how to describe it, I’ve tried to stop before but it’s almost just an uncontrollable impulse even though it can be really painful.

This was described as a treatment for ocd tendencies/picking disorders, and the comments said they found this brand to be high-quality so I snagged some. One pill helps, but I still found myself doing it on occasion so I tried upping it to two pills twice a day, usually before breakfast and after dinner.

I am a 62 year old female and was diagnosed with osteoporosis about a year ago and decided (with my physician) to try supplements for at least 1 year to see if I could increase by bone density since I am a very active person.

Absolutely love this product! I typically fall asleep quite easily, using meditation but am awake within an hour or two and struggle to settle again. I’ve tried a couple of more expensive melatonin products but this one is my favourite, by far! I pop it on my tongue and let it dissolve, within 45 minutes I’m drifting off.

I don’t wake up nearly as often and when I do, it takes no time for me to drift back off. I’m sleeping so much deeper too, I highly recommend these to anyone.

I’ve used several different brands of melatonin over the years, purchased from both physical and online stores. Pipingrock’s melatonin is the only one that did absolutely nothing to help me get to sleep.

I ended up having to buy another bottle from a competitor, and now I’m able to get to sleep again. Don’t waste your money on this garbage.

I started taking this after a concussion and really saw a difference. It was recommended by the neurologist. If I stopped for a few weeks, the cognitive decline was very noticeable. Five years after the concussion I wondered if it was still necessary and stopped for many months.

Yeah, it was still VERY necessary. Alpha GPC made a huge difference in focus and memory and concentration. When this brand was unavailable for awhile, out of desperation I purchased a different brand and it caused racing thoughts and disrupted sleep.

So I know from trial and error this brand works and this product is crucial to help my brain cope every day.

I decided to add Melatonin to my night time regime because, through “the big data approach” researchers at the Cleveland Clinic have identified melatonin as a potential treatment for Covid 19. Controlled studies need to be done to prove this.

Because this determination was based on data there is no information on dosing or evidence based proof information that it does. That having been said, I have used melatonin in the past as a sleep aid, and thought I would use it again, with this potential added benefit.

I choose this product because of the prolonged release. In the past, using a non PR, I would wake once the Melatonin cleared my system, I would wake almost instantly and too early to start my day. So PR is important because I can take tablets at different intervals and stay asleep the entire night.

It just takes a little time to figure how many and at what interval to achieve restful sleep all night and not be drowsy in the AM. Douglas Laboratories was the only PR offered by HHL, but Douglas Laboratories has a great reputation so no concerns with the quality of the product.

It is nice to have restful sleep after 10+ months of poor sleep.

I was having severe hot flashes many times over the day and night (with night sweats) consistently for eight or nine months, with increasing frequency over the last two months before trying this product.

I take this with ProgestoMend, as recommended after taking the test on yourhormones dot com. I do find I need to take the full dosage of four pills (two twice per day) to get relief, but what a drastic difference it has made.

My hot flashes are now nearly non-existent (I would say they are now a 2 or 3 on a scale of 10, whereas before I described them as an ’11’). I had tried other products with no change in symptoms at all.

I appreciate that this supplement helps my body to ‘see’ and work with the hormone levels already present in my body. I tried 2 pills per day the first day, with no change, so tried 2 doses of 2 the next day and had a change that day.

Note: I am a slow gainer and I haven’t finished my first bottle yet. With that said, since using this product, I have continued to make strength gains with respect to one-rep max, reps, etc. , notwithstanding that my training and nutrition during this time hasn’t been at its peak.

Any weightlifter/bodybuilder should be concerned with recovery as thats the only way you’ll make progress. I see and feel a difference already less than a week after eating these. Im only sore 4x out of 10 when it used to be 9x out 10 which is good although I dont mind feeling sore.

Our daughter was drug and alcohol exposed throughout her birth mother’s pregnancy, and sleep became an issue early on in toddlerhood. She dropped naps quickly, and then had a hard time settling down for bed.

We tried EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. The things that calm other kids down, stimulate her. We really didn’t want to get her started on melatonin, but when she wasn’t napping and her bedtime routine started taking 2-3 hours each night, we finally gave in with her pediatrician’s approval.

It worked wonders! She’s usually out within 30 minutes, but sometimes sooner, and occasionally up to an hour later. Once she’s on it a while. It kicks her own internal clock into gear and we can go a few weeks without it.

We just play it by ear from night to night. The only con we’ve found is she can be a little extra cranky the following day sometimes. But she’s worse if she doesn’t get enough sleep, so we put up with it.

Once we notice it, we usually take the next couple nights off. It’s not for everyone though! Her “Irish twin” brother gets night terrors from it, so it really seems to depend on the kid.

Took this for crippling back pain (of all things) after C-19 seriously messed me up. Already had a bad back for 30+ years, but this was pain x10. Did some deep studying into the problem after seeing some YT video by chance by a doctor advertising one of these proteolytic enzymes and settled on the Doctor’s Best because it’s actually reasonably priced compared to another heavily advertised proteolytic exzyme brand that’s rediculously expensive if you’re poor and need to take it every month.

I’m really amazed by the results, nothing short of miraculous! I spent all last fall, the winter and spring and a good part of summer on the couch, dreading having to get up to go to the bathroom or cook something to eat.

I suffer from Insomnia and and am not able to sleep naturally till 4 in the morning. I also work till 1 in the night. It even got worse last couple of weeks. I want sleep till 7am that means literally up all night.

This affected my sleep cycle. After taking one tablet from this product, I was able to sleep well for 9 hours. This makes you sleep deep. However my sleep broke 2-3 times in between but i slept back fast within 2 mins.

I need to see if this will cure any Insomnia related problems. I will check and Review again.

I’m transitioning off heavy duty sleep aids, and I know this is not meant to *put* you to sleep but get better sleep. 2 of these get me relaxed enough that I can drift off. I don’t wake up in the middle of the night anymore, but I do find myself a little tired when I wake up.

I’d still repurchase though, because long term use of sleep aids is not healthy, and I can train myself to fall asleep with these going forward. I just wish I didn’t feel as foggy waking up but I’m experimenting with longer sleep times.

These are the best! I started my job over a year ago and waking up at 5:30 has been really hard for me. I don’t always have trouble falling asleep but I never feel fully rested. I have found that taking one of these is perfect about 30-40 mins before I go to bed.
