I heard about the Jero knives while at a hunting show. I researched online and saw the good reviews. Was happy that Walmart had them. The blades are sharp and hold a good edge, but the handle is what is awesome.

It is like a lightly textured rubber grip, but the shape of the handle is comfortable and fit my hand really well. I used it to process a few deer for me and some friends.

i used these knives for 8 years in a meat shop. When I left work and started college where I moved home I discovered my parents knives were awful, so my sister bought me one just like I used in the shop.

That was 40 years ago and I still have the same sharp knife that is almost indistinguishable from a brand new one that I bought a few years ago that just sits in a drawer. Easy to sharpen, holds and edge well, and can use a steel to bring and edge right back.

Listen, there is a reason meat shops all over the world use these knives. Cutting produce or anything else is a breeze, I have given them out as gifts at xmas to all my kids, friends, and inlaws. Best bang for the buck in cutlery out there.

The handle is great and a curved blade is much better than a straight edge.

My partner and I often cook together, so we decided to buy 2 of these rather than 1 knife with a “nicer” handle. I’m so glad we did. The Victorinox Fibrox Cooks Knife is a mouthful to say but a joy to use. I have a long love affair with the Victorinox brand and this particular knife keeps the flame well and truly burning. Ive had my buck pathfinder for about 20 years use buck stones to keep it sharp enough to shave the hair off my arm. It ha gutted 15 + deer as part of gutting I use the knife and a rock to break to pelvic bone.

It has never failed me. So when I needed a special gift for my adult son who is also an avid outdoorsman I could think of no better gift. Im 75 my knife goes to my grandson in my will.

This is the third heater we have purchased like this. The first two was for a house we owned in the cold northern states for our enclosed front porch. They worked great, we had tried for 6 years to find something to keep the porch warm in the winter before purchasing these.

Now we live in the warmer southern states but still have cool winters and wanted something for our small 2 stall garage that we could use to warm it up if we wanted so we found this on ebay and purchased another, the new one has some improvements over the old version which we like such as being able to use the heater without the light being on.

It is very easy to mount and operate, love the fact you just plug it into a regular 110 outlet. Would highly recommend.

It’s a good basic unit, but just be aware that the switch on my last one broke after a few uses. If you’re smart you’ll install a switched outlet right above the unit and cut the cord short like I did.

That way you can turn it on by the wall switch and only use the pull string when you really have to change the settings. My old one lasted almost 10 years, but if I had always used the pull string it would not have lasted long at all.

This knife works well in a beef packing house. It takes an edge really well and is very sharp. The knife is a little heavy but comfortable to me. I prefer a wood handled knife with a thick high carbon steel blade and this one works perfectly for me.

I’ll likely buy more when the time comes. It seems to be more rust resistant than a Dexter-Russell high carbon steel knife with wood handle. I still have yet to try a J. Russell Green River Works but most likely is similar to the regular Dexter wood handled knife.

This knife is hollow ground which might be the factor that helps with it taking an edge well.

It’s a simple fact. I have many carbon steel knives and if you do not properly care for them, they all will rust. That being said, I love them all. I know how to take care of them and they take care of business for me.

1095 High Carbon steel sharpens easily, holds an edge very well and will last a lifetime if properly cared for. After use, simply wash the knife, dry it well, and maybe put a little vegetable oil or food grade mineral oil on the steel.

If that is too much of a hassle for you, then stick to stainless steel knives. But don’t bash carbon steel knives just because you don’t or won’t properly care for them.

I customize these blades for customers all the time. shins out one average sized buck deer or a medium sized feral hog before the edge needs to be touched up. Inexpensive and durable. what’s not to like? Oh well, the yuppy crowd are not impressed with any blade cheaper than $300.

They’re more into making fashion statements. not making meat! :).

I love this skinning knife, though I use it for a rather different use (other than intended). I actually use this to clean skirt steaks with way more ease. The knife comes razor sharp straight from factory.

While I sharpen all my own knives with japanese whetstones, I have had a hard time keeping this knife sharp. I am not sure if this is due to the material (too soft, too hard? rockwell?). I may have to take this to our local knife sharpening service to get it back to its original sharpness.

BUT, this knife is excellent! Buy this without a second doubt.

Easily the best of this type knife to be found. Made in the USA of superior materials. This is one of many knives & kitchen tools I own of the Dexter/Russell brand. You cannot go wrong and if you treat this knife as any good knife should be, this will last generations.

This is a knife that has made my life a lot easily. It easily removes fat and it is very sharp. It is dishwasher safe and excellent for everyday use. This is a must have for any restaurant.

Very nice carbon blade. Throws sparks when starting a fire on camping trips. It wasn’t very sharp when I got it. Actually quite dull. But, I took an hour to get the edge perfect. Being high carbon don’t forget your sharpener on your outings.

The edge doesn’t last very long.

I actually bought this knife several months ago. Great knife ! Very well made. It’s my first Damascus knife and it’s beautiful.

Wanted to gift knives but not a gimmicky piece. Something memorable. These were perfect. They absolutely loved them.

It’s a pretty nice knife. The steel is a bit too highly polished along the sides of the bone handle. It’s nice and shiny, but it has had all the layers buffed clean. It just looks like a cheap acid etched blade because of it.

It does have some heft to it, and it’s most likely a blade that’s been pounded out by hand as opposed to stamped sheets of steel. I don’t feel ripped off or anything, there was no misrepresentation. I probably wouldn’t have bought it if I picked it up in a store, though it will likely end up on my six gun belt.

This is a neat knife! I am no metallurgist, but I’m not sure this is literally Damascus steel. Acid etched maybe? Whatever the case, it has a very stout, heavy blade that came honed to an excellent edge.

It feels good in the hand and is well balanced. Fit and finish on the bone handles was a little sloppy. The leather belt sheath was a nice touch. Overall, a unique, cool and functional knife. Worth 20 bucks? Hmmm I suppose.

I frequently buy hunting knives as gifts. This one I plan to keep. The size and shape are perfect for a skinning or cape out. I was pleasantly surprised. The price was really good. The sheath is top notch as well.

I am not now skinning any animal, but, this knife is very valuable to me in the kitchen. It combines the virtues of a Ulo and a carving knife. Use the rocking action, and rarely lift the knife from the cutting board.

And keep it razor sharp!!!.

Disregard the one star comment, this knife is carbon steel like a real knife should be. As you use them they will patina. After your done using dry off. These traditional series knives with the carbon steel by Dexter Russell are great, good quality and affordable.

Was really happy to find these Green River Russell Skinners were still being made. Exact same knife I’ve been carrying & using for almost 40 years. Not high-tech or fancy, just one of the best carbon steel dressing/ skinning knives ever made.

Knife seemed better made than I expected. The weight was good it was deceivingly heavier than I expected but a good weight you could tell it was solid. Made a great gift my dad loved it. Definitely going to be a future buyer.

There are many quality hunting knives available out there but I defy anyone to produce a knife of this quality at this price. I own many knives myself but this Case XX Buffalo Handle Hunter is my new favorite fixed blade hunter.

After seeing the case gut hook blade put to work, I had to pick one up for myself. They are great knives, and the buffalo handle looks fantastic. I expect it to last a long time.

I’m not sure if the customer is supposed to sharpen this knife after they buy it or if it just comes dull. Where I work provides the knifes for free and they swap between this knife and the Buckingham 70861, depending on the bulk order cost.

After going through 3 of these knifes I cant justify using it. Love Klien tools (I’m a lineman) but I cant get behind this one.

I’ve been using this knife for 15 years. In my 20 years as an electrician i’ve had two buy only two of these knifes and i will never use anything ells.

MORAKNIV. We can’t say enough about this knife. Our acreage property is heavily forested. upkeep (such as dead-cutting & skirting) leaves us with a tremendous amount of repurposing material. i. e. limbs, branches, etc.

When utilising these materials for projects such as natural fencing (and the like), the Morakniv helps to cut right through the work. its a great knife for trimming branches to required lengths, for cutting notches prior to lashing, for splitting lengths of branches, etc.

‘of course, it makes cutting through various ropes & twines for tying fence parts together no task at all. Only heat source here is wood. that means many, many, many wood piles/stacks. When clearing areas here & there of fallen branches & leaf-mold for new wood stacks, very young saplings are always revealed dotting the ground’s surface.

certainly one thing you don’t want is for a sapling to begin growing up through a wood pile. ‘and so they too must be removed. the Morakniv slices right through them like going though twine. even sapplings of 1/4 – 1/2 inch thick.

a coupl’a shaves and a quick slice and they’re gone. The thickness of the blade makes this a tough, tough knife. The modest blade length adds to its sturdiness. Its sharp. ‘and. it stays sharp. it takes alot of abuse and stands up to it all like a trooper.

The comfort of the grip feels so natural in the hand that a great deal of cutting can be attended to without fatigue. The design of the sheath will keep the Morakniv in place. it clicks in when married correctly with the sheath so you know its secure.

not a second thought needed. no worrying over losing the knife out the scabbard whilst moving & bending & stooping (etc), nor whilst traversing the forest. ‘And. knife & sheath alike are an easy, easy clean-up at the close of the work day.

Most muck simply wipes right off. any stubborn grime can be rinsed away under a bit of running water. dry off the Morakniv and back in the sheath to await its next job. After just a short time of owning & utilising the Morakniv, we can’t imagine getting along without them.

They have quickly become part of our standard gear for going into the forest to work. There’s no question in mind. we’ll definitely be purchasing more so to gear the various production areas that develop on the property.

having one, or even two just won’t do. They’re too valuable a tool that are utilised by many hands across various projects. it doesn’t make sense to juggle them around betwixt folks. considering their reasonable price and immense versatility, having several available for whomever may need at any given time is well worth it.

I’ve had my Mora Morakniv Companion for about a week now and I’m really enjoying it. It came sharp staright out of the packet – passed the cut paper test. Feels comfortable and well balanced. It clicks into the sheath which I like.

I’ve wrapped the sheath in 550 paracord as many youtube videos suggest to have the cordage at hand. I began carving with it yesterday and so far so good. This knife has a good reputation for a reason.

I havent battoned wood with it yet. it’s still too new. (lol). I’m very happy with it. Next mission. to carve a spoon. Enjoy.

Here is the plain simple truth. This is NOT the “be all” or “the best knife out there”. What it IS, is a great value for a knife that is better than it has any right to be, at under $20(USD). It is a no frills, basic knife that gets the job done.

The handle feels good, the blade takes an edge and holds it, the plastic sheaf holds the blade superbly, and clips onto your belt with ease. I kept seeing many reviews about the value of these knives and thought “what the hell, why not?”.

Glad I did. The spine of the knife has a rough finish but I’m sure that it helps keep the cost down. But to be honest, for under $20 I really can’t complain. It’s no Tops Tom Brown tracker but if you just need a knife for cutting things or small projects than you can’t go wrong with this knife, and if you break it or loose it, $20 won’t break the bank.

Try it. If you don’t like it, keep it in the glove box of your car for a back-up or emergency stuff or in a back pack/bug out bag.

Sharp quality for those looking for an all around good knife. Perfect for kitchen work however best for hunters, and at home butchers as I have tested on many hogs. Holds a great edge, and the blade is semi stiff; not as flexible as a fish fillet knife however found to be great for skinning and boning.

Would imagine since very sharp it to would cut vegetables with ease. The handle has an index finger guards which prevents fingers sliding forward as long as proper cleaning of equipment is kept when using.

I personally have 5 mundial knifes and highly recommend.

I’ve been using these knives for a lot of years for deer cutting. My lovely bride was so impressed that she wanted some for kitchen use. They take an edge fairly easily and hold it well. I generally don’t have to resharpen until an entire deer is cut up.

Will continue to purchase as needed. I do have an assortment of sizes but seem to gravitate to the 5″ boner for most work.

I’ve snagged a few of these Crocodile Dundee-sized knives over the years when I’ve spotted them on sale. Look, I’m not likely to be found skinning an elk with one up by the treeline of Mt. Manlyman, having navigated there using its little semi-craptastic compass or anything.

But I do keep one handy on the boat with a wrist lanyard attached to it through the conveniently-provided hole in its handle for cutting tangled fishing or other lines from the prop or for other sailboat-rigging needs.

And if you do any metal detecting with one of those far-better-than-just-good-enough Harbor Freight 9-Function Metal Detectors frequently on sale for about $50, one of these honking big scimitars is just the ticket for coming to grips with dense or rooty soils.

With a little practice it also makes for a good sturdy “coin shooter”. It’s all in the wrist: a curvy 3/4 cut, plop over the plug, find coin or other object, flip back plug, tamp down–turf’s back to like you were never even there.

And why not get one of their 2-sided sharpening stones too? After all, nothing says, “Treat my daughter with utmost respect” like the sight of you quietly oiling and sharpening a foot long knife at the kitchen table.

So far I have not tested the knife yet. I do a bit of camping, kayaking, hunting, and am always looking to test out this knife to see if it is worth the money. It is about 10 dollars and that is really cheap.

So far, from getting it out of the package I noticed the blade has a decent feel to it. The handle is obviously hollow to store a few handy items for basic survival if you have to make it off of primitive means for a little bit.

They also have a few of those tools as well. The compass is not perfect but it is pretty handy to have if you need to get a basic bearing on where you are or need to be heading. The sheath leaves a lot to be desired but I can not fault it as the whole package is around 10 dollars.

My recommendation is always to have a kit setup in case of an emergency and a knife is one of those tools. With this knife so far, this may not be a bad investment to put in an emergency bag for hunting and fishing if you are not looking to spend a whole bunch of money.

It may not be the top of the line but it does appear that it can get you through an emergency. If I can edit this in the future and update it with more up to date information after I have tested it more then I will.

Final note, I wish the companies that distribute the products would give a little more time for us to get a little more time to use the product so we can give a more informative review.

I bought this as a gift for my nephew. He is an outdoorsman, to say the least. The size of this knife was surprising when it arrived. It was bigger than I thought, which isn’t a bad thing. The look of it is badass! It is light for the size.

I bought it because it looked like he would be able to utilize it in many ways while being outdoors. I can’t say much about how well it works since I didn’t use it but I have not heard any complaints from my nephew.

The price of this knife was crazy low for what you get. Im planning on buying a few more!.

This is the second 55 I have owned, the first I lost while feeding cows. The knife is slim and fits well in my pocket for everyday use. Like most buck knives I’ve own, it came sharp and ready to use.

I count on my pocket knife each day, and don’t care for one that I can’t hold to task. This is a great knife with perfect dimensions for the pocket and great quality. Hope to pass on to my daughter.

I enjoy the classic wooden scaled lockback knives, and I needed a smaller profile knife for dressing small game, pheasants, and grouse. I like a clip point profile for this work, and my Buck 110 feels too big for the task.

While the 55 performs admirably with small game, I find myself wishing the blade was a touch longer (2 1/2 – 2 7/8 inches), and the handle is quite thin. (I wish I could order a Buck 501 with a clip point) It does, however, make an excellent EDC.

Perfect size to slip into a pocket, and gives a “gentleman’s knife” appearance in public. I do find myself reaching for a drop point blade for tough zip ties and plastic bubble packaging, but the 55 is also capable.

The 55 is advertised as being a half-sized 110. That is true in blade length, however, the handle is very thin and not proportional to the 110, and there are some other cosmetic differences. My example of the 55 has what looks like stained but bare walnut scales, and is not sealed like the 110.

I’ve had mine for a year, and it has held up, though I wonder if it will warp in the future. I have multiple Bucks including the 110, 501, 379, 316, and 284, but the 55 is my favorite for EDC. I plan to get the 503 next since I think I’d like a small classic drop point EDC.

My search continues for the perfect small game clip point knife. Not quite what I expected when I bought it, but I do think it is still a 5 star knife.

Its a perfect pocket knife very light perfect size razor sharp made in USA will last forever. just perfect like all buck knifes got my first buck knife in 1982. Buck 110 still have it still carry it is perfect too dont waist your money on anything else buy a buck !.

This is a good knife. I lost one just like it so I like it good enough to replace it. The blades are real sharp but they break easy. Just be careful and make sure you pull or push it straight.

The knife is great. You should be ashamed of yourself for the rest of the accessories.
