20 Best Skincare For Textured Skin (2023 Updated)

I miss the matcha moisturizer, but I was willing to give this texture smoothing cream a try. I love the light celery scent because celery is delicious in my belly and also on my face. I enjoy the smooth texture and how light and almost fluffy it feels.

At first I did have a slight reaction but decided to keep using it, figuring it has something to do with changing moisturizers. It’s been about a year of using the texture smoothing cream combine with sea grape caviar duo and ceramide barrier serum in the evening and as part of my morning routine.

My skin went from sensitive, patchy, prone to breakouts or rashes to a now healthier even glowing skin. As a 43 year old, the change in my skin has given me incentive to love my skin and take care of it.

Cocokind makes their products affordable and that is another incentive. Part of my reluctance in the past to have a consistent skincare routine was how expensive it was to maintain a routine. If I were to use the “best brands” my skin would most of the time end up reacting badly.

I’ve tried many brands and it’s the first time I’ve ever stuck with a brand and been excited about trying their other products too. I appreciate Cocokind for being affordable and yet sustainable, natural, vegan and transparent about their products.

So, as a gal from South FL with oily skin, I never understood the hype around moisturizers, or why everyone said you absolutely needed them. I did try a gel-based moisturizer once, with some success, but again, it didn’t seem entirely necessary (especially for a person who, at the time, didn’t have any sort of skincare routine).

When the texture smoothing cream came out alongside the pore refining concentrate, I opted at first for the concentrate only; I wasn’t sold on moisturizers, and wasn’t sure its cream-like consistency wouldn’t make me break out or irritate my skin in some other way.

But, finally, my curiosity got the best of me, and I finally tried the texture smoothing cream out. First note– “cream” is being generous. It’s quite a light cream, not heavy, allowing for layering of product (for example, you can wear this under the cocokind SPF) without feeling like you’re suffocating or clogging your pores.

If you have oily skin like myself, I’d use a dab–a little goes a long way, another great plus, but using little decreases the chance of the product moving around your face. I went overseas recently to Denmark, and BOY was I glad I discovered why moisturizers were important.

My skin was dangerously close to becoming dry before I remembered where I was and realized I needed to be using more product. I was glad I’d brought it with me!.

I went from having great skin most of my life to having extremely sensitive skin out of the blue. Everything that I put on my face would cause me to break out in an awful manner. I tried soooo many facial creams.

Living in New Mexico, having a good facial cream is absolutely essential, so I became really frustrated after going through several products with no luck. When I decided to try this cream, I was scared so decided to buy the travel size version.

I had some break outs at first, but wasn’t sure I could attribute it fully to the cream, so I kept using it and even bought the full sized product. Because honestly, aside from my breakouts, my skin did look suppler and moisturized.

I also noticed that any stains on my face were fading. I fixed some hormonal Issues I was having caused by diet, and my breakouts began to go away. And this awesome product stayed! I loooooove this smoothing cream because it delivers everything it says it does.

I love how I don’t have to use too much to get my skin to look amazing.

I absolute LOVE this product. Dr. Dennis Gross kills it with their antioxidants and their interesting formulations. I love the serum consistency- it is easy to apply and sinks in super quickly. As for the comments about the “bad smell” that I keep reading.

Seriously I’m rolling my eyes. No offense but you have to be a hardcore skincare newb to be bothered by a fragrance free product. This product doesn’t even smell bad. It has a slight ferulic acid smell (the “hotdog” smell that people describe) and kind of gingery.

It is NOT BAD AT ALL I promise. I accidentally got the wrong product before I got this one. I accidentally got the Overnight Wrinkle Treatment by DDG and it has similar ingredients to this one but also contains fragrance ingredients like bergamot and lavender- I love that product as well but I always prefer fragrance free products.

I absolutely love the antioxidants in this product (retinol, rambutan leaf, Bakuchiol, ubiquinone, soy isoflavones, quercetin, morus alba, and ferulic acid).

This product is thicker than other Retinol serums I’ve tried and had a distinct scent. The scent isn’t over-powering and doesn’t irritate my sinuses. Instructions say use four drops; that’s not enough to cover my face.

I need to use about eight drops. Even so, my sensitive skin loves this product. It absorbs quickly, isn’t sticky, and leaves my face feeling moisturized and smooth. Of course, I wish it wasn’t so expensive or was in a larger quantity for this same price but I’ll continue to repurchase it because it works better for me than other brands.

I noticed a difference in the texture of my skin after one use, which surprised me because my skin was already smooth. This made my skin extra soft, if that makes sense. The dropper works well. Worse case scenario, turn it upside-down in the palm of your hand when the bottle is almost empty.

I also use this line of eye serum and eye cream. My only complaint is the excessive packaging for most of this brand’s products.

I’ve been looking for a retinol but was reluctant to purchase as I was afraid of using it. Redeemed a small bottle sample using beauty points. Used up the 7ml bottle in 1. 5 months and it worked really well so decided to purchase a full-sized bottle.

I have acne prone combination skin and have been getting recurring annoying pimples on my cheekbones area. This product has really helped to reduce my pores and helped healed scarring, while also prevent new pimples from maturing.

I would feel bumps under my skin but this helps the bumps disappear after a few days without getting to the stage of inflammation. I will use this product every other day as part of my night routine followed by Glow Recipe Pink Juice Moisturizer.

Have not experienced any irritation or flakiness thus far so it has been going really well. Tempted to try a stronger retinol product but I’m scared hahaha. Only downside is the expensive price.

Okay, first off i never write reviews but i thought i had to for this moisturizer. I have never tried any of Peach & Lily’s products before but was told to by a friend because of how “clean” these products are.

I have extremely oily and dehydrated skin. I have tried so many different brands like neutrogena, cerave, and cetaphil and let me tell you NOTHING compares to this moisturizer. For months I’ve been struggling with dry flakey skin no matter how many times i put on moisturizer during the day to where my makeup looked so caked and gross that i eventually gave up wearing makeup most days.

I’m not even kidding within 3-4 days of using this in the morning and night my skin was no longer dry and flakey and I am able to wear makeup again without it looking cakey. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated but not oily at all, I think it actually has helped with my oiliness because I’m not using those dang oil blotting sheets as much throughout the day anymore and this is the only product I’ve changed in my routine.

It dries a tiny bit sticky but my makeup applies great over it. It doesn’t make me breakout either, which I was very worried about because my skin is very sensitive. I would 110% recommend this to anyone and everyone, especially if you have extremely dry yet oily skin.

I can feel and see these ingredients at work and in play on my skin for sure! Another thing I noticed are my sun spots have faded too with use of this cream as my skin tone has improved and my skin looks clearer too.

I need to point out that one of the many benefits of this moisturizer and it’s anti aging benefits has been the firmness it has given my skin. My skin feels more supple and firm where before it had been feeling as it was starting to sag a bit but now I feel it’s a lot firmer.

Overall I’m super happy and impressed with this moisturizer and highly recommended it without a doubt!!.

This moisturizer is great year round if you have normal to combination skin. maybe even oily skin. However if you have pretty dry skin like I do, this moisturizer only suffices during the summertime or if you need a light hydrating layer under heavy makeup.

There is a bit of a sour odour (not going to say scent as that might lead people to think it’s scented or fragranced which it is not) when you first apply to the skin. I found this went away after application… but if you are sensitive to odours this moisturizer isn’t for you.

As far as ingredients go, I wouldn’t exactly say this is the best skin barrier maintenance moisturizer…. it’s got Maracujá (or Passiflora Edulis Seed Oil) half way through the ingredient list which has been known to support healing of weakened and damaged skin, but lacks ceramides which is an ingredient I prefer in skin barrier protection/maintenance skincare.

I like that it includes Niacinamide but so do 80% of the products on my skincare shelf so it’s not a super revolutionary ingredient though I appreciate that Hyram keeps the percentages within the studied amounts as higher percentages of Niacinamide can be irritating to some skin types.

This ingredient does have some benefits towards the skin barrier by improving texture and controlling sebum (oil) production within the outer surface of skin, and residual hyperpigmentation from acne scars.

If you have super oily acne prone skin, this moisturizer would be your best friend as it’s light enough that your pores can still breathe (hopefully producing less sebum) with the Niacinamide to aid in lessening that oil production and hyperpigmentation from acne scars while the Maracujá may help heal the blemishes already on your skin.

If you have dry skin, I recommend this under sun care and makeup during the warmer months of the year and to find something more hydrating during the winter. And if you have damaged skin and are looking for skin barrier repair, I’d recommend something with Ceramides as well as Niacinamide.

All in all, I think there’s better moisturizers out there for this purpose and I would only justify the $34 / tube price tag during the summer with the intended purpose of needing a lightweight moisturizer or if you are super oily… as personally a single tube would last me 3 months during the summer.

It’s meh. If you use too much, you end up with a film on the skin, and it’s so lightweight, that at night I feel like I’m looking for more moisture, and it’s so thin that I often use it before my moisturizing toner has fully dried down just so that I can put it all over my face without using too much of it.

It’s definitely not beginner user friendly, it’s manageable, and it doesn’t do anything horrible to the skin. I just really dislike the filmy feeling with too much, the difficulty on using the correct amount and still covering my face without having to fill me feeling, and just the general moisturization is not that impressive.

I’ve never really felt like I needed a nighttime cream except for when it comes to this moisturizer, I definitely leave something wanting for the skin. If you have very sensitive skin, you may like this, I know the creator worked really hard to make sure that the ingredients and the formula were good and safe and nice.

But it’s just not worth the time or money, I’m not going to throw it away, I’m going to use it up. Bye will never buy this again, and I wish I hadn’t bought it.

I’ve decided I really like this moisturizer. It feels almost like a light gel moisturizer, and seems to sit on the skin more than other moisturizers I’ve used. I feel like my skin is protected this way and it is a nice light layer between my skin and makeup.

And when I don’t wear makeup, it is absorbed enough so that my skin looks hydrated but is still protected. I bought this because I was using the Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream, and I was looking for alternatives to that.

I came across Hyram’s video about the Dr. Jart products, and then found out that Hyram now has his own skincare line. In the video, I also learned that essential oils can be harmful to your skin just like how general “fragrance” is harmful.

It seemed like Hyram has done lots of research and is very knowledgeable of different skincare ingredients. I’m glad I tried this. I have very sensitive, dry skin and usually, foundation doesn’t work with my skin very well.

But, since I started using this moisturizer, makeup seems to be more even, and my skin looks and feels better without makeup. Thank you!.

I tried really hard to like this product, and I did use the entire bottle before leaving my review, but the overwhelming bad smell makes this product a no-go for me. I’m pretty tolerant of fragrance-free products not smelling great (I have to because I have allergies that are easily triggered by fragrances) but this one just smells really off putting.

I didn’t find the price to be a con until I finished the bottle and could calculate the valued I really got from it. As a result, for the price you don’t get a lot. I was surprised that the bottle lasted me as long as it did – approximately 6 weeks of almost daily use, BUT I didn’t use it on my entire body.

I used an average of 6 pumps on just arms, breasts, upper legs and buttocks. While the lotion itself isn’t greasy per se, the dimethicone feel is very noticeable even when using a small amount. Personally I really dislike the feel of that slick, silicone feel on my skin because it’s impossible to gauge just how hydrated your skin is after use.

For this reason my skin never really felt nourished by this product and there was no visible improvement suggesting it was sufficiently hydrating enough for my dry-normal skin. It did slightly improve my KP but when compared to other products that also target KP I’d have to say this one has been the least effective and the one taking longest to show any improvement.

So what are the positives? Well, it contains a decent amount of retinol compared to other body-specific retinol options on the market (which is not many in my region!), it didn’t trigger any eczema or allergies for me, and the packaging is nice.

I think the product has real potential but I’d personally like them to address the smell of the product without adding fragrances (natural or synthetic), reduce the amount of dimethicone in favour of other occlusives and increase the volume of product you get for the price.

A lil bit of niacinamide would be a great addition too!.

As a skincare fanatic, I have tried many brands and even more products. This is one of the few that stands out: it works, and surprisingly quickly. Paula’s Choice is 1 out of 2 brands I use on my body or face, in my morning and nighttime routines (and midday touchups when I can sneak it) including décolleté and bikini line, after 8+ years of insatiably curious skin care trials and tribs! Frankly now I’m on my 5th bottle (and just purchased a 30day auto-refill; my first subscription product, ever, of any variety, other than prescribed medication) after some deep consideration.

Do yourself a favor, take a chance, and pick up 1 bottle. It’s wild but I promise you’ll find for yourself this is a special product on the market. I hope they release a >4oz bottle. I gently disagree with the reviews that claim the current 4oz bottle is way too small.

I apply every day (and twice, when I’m on top of my skincare and real life doesn’t intervene) and find 1-to-2 pumps can gently be smoothed over arms, thighs and calves: the areas where my keratosis pilaris, irritation scars, and sun damage benefit most.

I say it is a unique blend of a true treatment with a rich body lotion. I like it on top of my plain body oils/lotions and I’m thrilled with the results. Note you MUST pair this with increased SPF with ant product with retinol or acid.

Reading other reviews, it’s pretty wild all the different ways people use to describe the smell of this product, from BO to disgustingly sweet. I actually agree that it smells a bit like raw chicken.

The thing is, it doesn’t really bother me. It doesn’t seem to cling to me like other users, though I may just not notice after awhile. It’s also important to remember this isn’t meant to be used all over the body, only on places where you need some skin tightening.

The areas I use it end up being covered by clothes, and all I smell throughout the day is my regular body lotion. And it really works. I’ve noticed a huge difference in stretch marks and skin tightness.

It also got rid of an old surgery scar (accidentally, actually, because I kind of liked the scar. ) If you can stand the smell (top with another lotion or only put it on at night, maybe), then I highly recommend.

I asked the skin concierge to recommend a cream to help even out tone and texture while hydrating my skin and I’m so glad I listened to them and gave this a try.

This sinks deeply into my skin and I actually feel like it hydrates my skin several layers deep. I’ve also seen an improvement in tone and texture and it works great at night and during the day under makeup.

Really a little goes a long way. The key to applying this is take a small pea sized amount, warm between fingers and then smooth and press into the skin. If you apply straight to face it feels thick but when you warm up first, it melts into an almost serum like texture.

Best part is the results! Cant say enough good things about this. LOVE!.

Winter is fast approaching in my area, and need an extra hydrating moisturizer to help with everything winter brings to my skin. This cream contains lipids and ceramides that work with the superfood extracts to help protect your skin’s appearance from drying.

The texture is amazing and has really done well to help hydrate my skin and protect it. As always, I appreciate that it is Paraben-free; sulfate-free; phthalate-free & fragrance-free.

So, also a part of my coveted, complimentary #springpicksvoxbox was an offering from @biossance : its Squalane + Omega Repair Cream. Now, I’ve got to say that I’ve never come across a Biossance product I didn’t adore before; truly, they usually work very well for me! So, I’m really sorry to say that I had some degree of difficulty even using this product.

Outwardly, it looks promising: nice packaging, definitely a “creamy-cream,” and it’s from Biossance. That alone would likely get me to buy it if I were out at Sephora and in the market for a new cream.

But if I did, I’d be disappointed. For me, I couldn’t get past the smell. Now, it’s advertised as unscented but I got a strong, almost-nostalgic smell of chlorine-mold-mildew-y pool deck at the local Water Park, and I think we all know what the kiddos do in the public pool at their discretion.

I don’t know if it’s the squalane or what, but the smell is so off-putting it’s borderline offensive to the olfactory receptors. A hard (yet sorrowful) pass for me; maybe it’s a wonder cream and will work for others who can get past the smell.

I received this product free to trial and leave my own experience. This is my First bioessence product ever! I am surprised because it does meet all my skincare needs, natural, fragrance free, chemical free.

This lotion I was hesitant to try as I am with any new skincare product, but let me tell you, WOW! Did not irritate my super sensitive skin! After the first application my skin felt hydrated and plump.

It’s a nice thick texture like the other facial moisturizers is used (dream mask by youth to the people, and honey halo by farmacy) it’s great for use at night and during the day! The product is phenomenal, it also layers very well with your other products in your skincare routine! I hate products that pill or become a funky texture when layering- this did not! I love the natural scent it has as well! Scented skincare is so overrated and irritating to my skin.

I have used half the jar now and I am soo happy! The packaging is 1st class as well, the glass jar, the labeling the box it comes it is all top notch. I do wish it came with a spatula for no contamination, but I am using one I already had! This product makes me happy, and is slowly filling in fine lines and making my face more youthful.

I will def purchase this product once I run out!.

So far I really like this. I have combination dry skin- oily at my temples and along my jawline with super dry skin in my t-zone. I was using a different night cream, but I live in a place with constantly changing weather that has wreaked havoc on my skin.

I started peeling and got very dry and extremely itchy. I bought this on the recommendation from an in store employee and it offered immediate relief. I’ve used it for a few days and while a minimal amount of peel is left on my skin, my face feels much more hydrated and quite soft.

Yes, there is a little bit of a smell that I really don’t like. However, the cream doesn’t have much of an odor just sitting in the jar unless you hold it right up to your nose and it goes away within a second or two once it’s rubbed in to your skin.

It is ultra rich though, so be prepared when you apply it. For me personally, this is definitely not a cream I would want to apply in the morning under makeup. It’s way too heavy. But as a night time treatment, it’s really, really good.

A little goes a long way with this one. Take the advice from other reviewers and start with a small amount and add more later. Because I haven’t used this for long enough, I don’t know what it really will do for fine lines and wrinkles, but the significant boost in hydration is definitely enough to warrant five stars, even with the odd smell.

I love this stuff certainly enough to give it 5 stars. My skin seems to react well to oceanic skin products, things with algae and such. And it benefits greatly from this #moisturizer, my skin looks much clearer (mild #acne was cleared up faster than with products specifically for acne).

It does its job moisturizing too, my skin doesn’t feel dry on it. Or greasy or oily. It’s got a weird consistency though. It’s almost more like putting on some kind of gel, I prefer cream moisturizers.

My skin is getting older and dryer. But despite the consistency that I’m not wild about and the very mild stickiness it leaves on the face, this stuff is very healing and wonderful and worth trying. It did sting a little on my mild acne and a scratch on my face, but my skin looked noticeably healed and healthier the next day.

I started to use this product once a week as I have dry and sensitive skin and only after a few days can I see any irritation or dryness. The product itself is a thin non sticky or greasy liquid with a slight smell, not perfumed but the typical aha smell which I don’t mind.

I used this once every week for a month and I began to notice differences already. The small bumps on my forehead are gone and my skin has a lovely glow. I now use this product twice a week and I can see some scarring lighten up and my pores aren’t as big.

I’ve only used this for three months so far and the differences are insane. I love this product, it didn’t break me out or dry me out which I love. There are no nasty added ingredients apart from peppermint oil as the last ingredient.

Also the specific AHA used exfoliates the skin whilst moisturising the skin barrier, it’s a great newer ingredient and I’m glad it’s in this! Cheap but great quality!.

I tired this when the SkinHit serums first launched a couple years back, and had previously never used serums in my skincare routine. I really enjoyed this one and then decided to try ones by other brands including the Inkey List – made me breakout so bad and made skin worse not better! Wish I never changed! I really love how this makes my skin feel and also I do notice a reduction in my fine lines that I absolutely believe is only because of this product.

The thin formula works much better for my oily skin type compared to other brands where Hyaluronic Acid serums are often too thick and gloopy. Will definitely continue to use this for as long as I can, and it’s always such a great low price too! The SkinHit serums are my favourite affordable serums available out there.

When I first used this alongside other products I didn’t notice a huge difference – my skin was glowy and moisturised but nothing really spot wise, however I went back to this the last couple weeks as I wanted to use it up instead of throwing it away- wow !! I always have skin coloured bumps on my forehead small ones constantly but my forehead actually has gone smooth! My family have noticed a difference, the spots on my cheeks and chin are still there however I do think that is diet and hormone related but loving how my forehead looks! Nothing has ever got rid of them before! I have only been using this on its own without other products so maybe that’s why it is working more this time round! I’m thinking of repurchasing and only using this and giving it longer as it’s not expensive to! 3 stars for now.

This product was gifted by Dermalogica. With the dry fall and winter months upon us, my combo dry skin definitely errs on the side of dry and flaky. The Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream purports to soothe and hydrate skin for up to 48 hours, which is quite the claim.

However, I was incredibly impressed with how well this cream actually did hydrate my skin, especially the areas that I felt were tight and dry lately due to the change in the weather. This moisturizer really does seem to benefit my moisture barrier.

I apply this twice a day, am and pm, and haven’t experienced any issues with this pilling under my makeup. I noticed some other people commenting about how this made their skin break out. I haven’t noticed any breakouts personally but I also do not have reactive skin so I can’t comment to that except to say that that wasn’t my experience.

If you have oily skin, I might choose a different product to be on the safe side.

I don’t mean to sound dramatic when I say that this saved my skin. I was going through a terrible bout of acne. Like painful, cystic acne, which I haven’t struggled with in a couple of years. I wasn’t sure what was triggered the breakouts (my skin was quite dry and I had been going outside in the city more often so I was exposed to more external factors than usual), so I immediately cut back on some of the products I was using and started slathering this on morning and night for over a week.

Not only did this skin just do a darn good job at keeping my skin moisturized, but it worked some godly magic on my skin barrier or something because those painful breakouts were gone. Even as I was using topical treatments/pimple patches, more breakouts would pop up, but when I used this product in conjunction, my skin began to return back to normal and has remained consistenly clear since.

I also love that it’s a squeeze tube — I have a tub of a thicker moisturizer that I love, but it’s not always the most accessible/travel friendly product. Dermalogica strikes again!.

I feel like it gives a too-oily finish to my skin when used over makeup or as a refreshing spray throughout the day. I like to be glowy, not greasy. However, it’s super useful as a last step in my skincare routine, after moisturizer and before makeup.

Spraying this on is faster than using any of my other face oils that i have to press into my skin by hand, so i like it when I’m just trying to get done and out the door quickly. It’s moisturizing enough that i can even use this alone and skip moisturizing cream if I’m really in hurry.

And it smells pleasant so that’s a plus. I only gave 4 stars because I’d really prefer being able to use it over makeup/throughout the day as recommended without it just sitting on my skin looking oily or breaking down my makeup.

I’ll still buy it again, and would recommend it as a decent product to anyone who asked.

I’m really not a fan. I wasn’t too excited to receive this because I have plenty of moisturizers and didnt really need another. However, I do like pixi products so I was willing to try this one out. My first complaint is the tube.

I HATE IT. Once you start squeezing moisturizer out, it just continues to come out after you’ve let go. Because the tube stays compressed. You have to sit there and try to pop it’s shape back into place while your hand has moisturizer on it, and while a bunch more continues to ooze out.

It’s really annoying and caused me to waste a lot of product. I try to take as much as I can of this excess and apply it to my face again, and my neck, chest, and literally anywhere else. My second complaint is how STICKY it is.

It does not fully absorb no matter how long I wait. I typically will layer moisturizers and I find that nothing can be layered after this. Not to mention I have cats. every little piece of fur that may float through the air at any given moment or be on my shirt or blanket or whatever immediately clings to my skin.

I have multiple little furs sticking to my fingers as I type this. The lotion initially feels nice going on, but I cannot get past how sticky and gross it feels. I don’t want to be wasteful but I might have to just toss this.

I don’t see a practical use for it at all. This lotion just makes me feel dirty and even more like a crazy cat lady (bc of the fur sticking to everything!!!). and while I love my cats, I do not love fitting the description of a crazy cat lady covered in fur.

This product gets a big nope from me.

I bought this to replace FABs discontinued Skin Rescue Oil-Free Mattifying Gel. The ingredients are not identical but similar enough, (both contain ceramides, niacinimide, glycerin, etc), that I thought it might be a suitable replacement.

The texture is like a thin jelly, it feels wonderful on the skin. It’s cooling and leaves the slightest tackiness behind, especially if layered over a serum or essence. It’s not too sticky, though, and I don’t have any problems applying liquid foundation over it.

With powder foundation it does need a mattifying primer before application. This moisturizer does not mattify the skin. It does not make my pores look any smaller, and though I haven’t tried using exclusively this moisturizer, I’m willing to bet it’s my serum keeping my skin in check.

It’s not life-changing but it’s a great moisturizer for oily skin, and a pleasure to use. My skin is sensitive and acne-prone, and I have experienced zero redness, zero breakouts, zero irritation from this product.

I’ll probably buy it again. Only four stars because it doesn’t do everything it says it does.

I have tried a couple of IT Cosmetics products in the past and have continued to use one of them for over a year now with good results and without any issue. When I saw this new and improved Confidence in a Cream Anti-Aging Hydrating Moisturizer, I thought it would be nice to give it a chance as I haven’t had any problems with their skincare products yet and have been on the search for an anti-aging cream.

My very sensitive skin is usually irritated by products with fragrance in them, but sometimes I can get by with something that is barely scented, which is why, combined with no previous issues with their products, I gave this a chance.

However, the second I opened up the jar, I questioned if this truly was for sensitive skin and would work for me. I found it interesting that this was potently fragranced but marketed as good for sensitive skin.

I started with a patch test on my neck, and my skin almost immediately started to burn (not dissimilar to a moderate sunburn). It didn’t get red, rashy, or itchy though, so I gave it a chance for a day on my face thinking it could just be due to some of the active ingredients and would fade over prolonged usage.

Unfortunately, my face burned, too, and also became itchy within hours, neither of which went away until about twelve hours after washed it off my face at the end of the day. Because I only applied it twice (once at night and again in the morning), I didn’t develop any eczema, but given previous reactions, if I had used this for another day or two, I would have expected to get a nasty rash on and around my eyes.

Despite all of the above, if you do not have sensitive skin, you may want to test this out. It absorbed quickly and nicely into my skin without leaving it greasy. My dry areas might have wanted a little bit more moisture, but my sometimes oily-by-the-end-of-the-day areas liked the amount of moisture it provided (at least before my fragrance-induced oil-producing reaction started).

I can’t really speak to any of the long term benefits because of personal experience, but based on the claims and ingredients alone, this would be a great anti-aging cream for anyone of any age as long as you do not have sensitive or, possibly, dry skin (though you might get it to work by applying multiple layers).

Since turning 40, I decided that I really needed to start taking better care of my skin if I hope to retain a more youthful appearance. I have combination skin with the oily areas being concentrated on my forehead and nose – these areas are also prone to the occasional pimple and blackheads.

After reading reviews, I hoped that Confidence in a Cream would provide all the benefits I currently need. I immediately noticed the soft creamy texture and subtle and pleasant citrus scent. It’s very light and fresh which I didn’t expect because I’m used to unscented moisturizers (although I prefer scented products).

I applied a small amount to start off since I didn’t know how my skin would react. I applied to my face, neck and decollette to start. After about a week, while I did notice my skin was glowing, I also experienced small breakouts on my cheeks, jawline and forehead.

The only thing I can attribute it too is this moisturizer unfortunately. I’m a believer in that you need to give products several weeks to see an outcome so I’ll keep using it and see if my skin improves.

If not, then I guess I’ll be on the hunt for a new moisturizer. I received this product in exchange for my honest opinion.

I finally started buying anti aging products at 38. I’ve used the same Aveeno lotion as face moisturizer for over 10 years and wanted to try something new. So I purchased this item along with a couple other high end highly-rated face moisturizers to try them out and see which one I liked best.

Honestly I thought this product was better than the highest rated facial moisturizer on the Ulta site. I liked this moisturizer better than the other two I tried for a few reasons. A little bit of this goes a long way.

Other moisturizers I needed to use a bit more product. It’s very easy to smooth into the skin. It disappears into your skin, it doesn’t leave that layer of white overcast. But my favorite reason I like this is because I will put a fresh layer of this on at night and after waking up, I can visibly notice my facial redness has gone away.

Usually my cheeks are naturally a little red but no more of that when I use this facial moisturizer. In the morning I don’t notice it.

I have been using this product on and off for nearly 3 years and have not used any other products aside from Urban Skin RX on my face. It took a while for me to see the effectiveness of this product, but the results were great! It’s quite obvious that the formula has changed recently, and not for the better.

Lately this product has been irritating my skin, causing around my neck area to peel, itch, burn, and even causing a rash. I stopped using it for about two months and instead used some Aveeno eczema relief cream to help soothe my irritated skin.

Why change the formula in the Even Tone Night Treatment Cream and now it’s NOT working for me? Why not leave the old formula and create a new extra pro strength product which other customers may find beneficial? This new even tone night cream formula clearly DOES NOT WORK FOR ALL SKIN TYPES.

I tried to apply only once a week but it still causes a rash. This is extremely frustrating!!! It took me so long to find a product that actually worked and now I can’t use it anymore.

This is really a review for urban skin Rx as a whole. I’ve been using varies products from this line since July of 2020. I put off writing a review for 6 months because I wanted to make sure these products continue to work long term(a lot of products have great results initially but do not stand the test of time.

) I struggled with acne and dark marks from scarred blemishes for years. After using this line, my skin has not been this clear and smooth in years. Pimples are very few and far between and the dark marks have faded substantially.

My family has even noticed how much clearer my skin is. I love the acne cleanser, the matifying moisturizer, the night treatment, the glycolic pads, the blemish mask, and the chemical peel pads. I’m excited to see how my skin looks 6 months from now.

This product is amazing!! I’ve suffered from melasma since I was 23 (I’m now 28) due to birth control and have tried many different products to help fix my skin. I did two rounds of Fraxel laser treatment which helped tremendously but some spots would become visible again during the summer months.

I can’t even describe how much I love this cream. I have several MB products, all of which I love, but this cream is my absolute favorite. I have had dry skin my whole life and have used every name brand product you can think of.

The one I used before I found this was $65; nice cream but wow, that’s a lot of $. I bought this and the seaweed wash. Just divine. After I mist my face with one of the MB misting products, I take a small dab of this and spread on my face.

It’s light yet dense enough to completely moisturize, it’s not greasy, the smell is absolutely divine, not too strong; my face feels soft and moisturized all day. I use the protein night cream at night because that one is a bit thicker.

The seaweed night cream has a matte finish with no shine after I put it on. I have always used night creams during the day but some are just too heavy. Not this one. It is positively perfect. I know 1 oz seems like a small amount, but it lasts a long time because you only need a dab.

And the price cannot be beat. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Have only used it for one night amd immediately after putting it on, my skin did go red and started to thingle and I thought here we go again, another reaction. I can have sensitive skin but it seemed to calm down after a few minutes.

I thought it was fragrance free or had a light fragrance. I found it quite strong to the point it sort of stings my eyes and nostrils. I will tey putting it on literally as I go to bed tomorrow night but the smell lingers for quite a while.

I also felt that it was not a light cream that went far, I needed quite a bit as it almost seeps in straight away, not that spreadable despite some of the other reviews. I dont think it will last that long.

I came from using Aspect Dr Light moisturiser which went a long way but stopped using it due to proce and inability to see when the product was running out- a real pain when you have to buy online. That product lasted three months for day and night so hoping this was last at least 3 months for a night cream as I wanted a more cost effective product.

A lot of products break me out, so it’s always risky trying a new product. I got this one because I wanted a richer night cream. I have normal to oily skin that is usually clear, but also prone to breakouts.

This one caused a breakout after one night’s use. I put it away for a while to let my skin clear up, so I could be certain it was this product causing pimples. I tried it again, and again, had a breakout the next day.

The product has a fairly strong powdery-floral scent. I don’t think it’s a terrible scent, but I don’t like it either. When I put it on, I thought my skin felt very soft afterward. If your skin isn’t prone to acne and you don’t mind a strong scent (or like powdery scents), this might be a good option.

I think there are better night creams out there though.

I worked for Chanel for 6 years. We received the entire Sublimage collection gratis when the products 1st launched. Initially there was only 1 cream and we were told to sell it as a moisturizer and serum in one.

Then came the eye cream and serum. I used all three products daily for years, as we constantly were given free products. It did hydrate well and gave a nice glow, but so does olive oil. This product collection is absolutely not worth the money.

This goes for most high-end brands, as I’ve used them all – gratis. None of them really did anything. Although YSL made a mushroom cream (Temps Majeur?) that was excellent, but not worth the money. If you want results, go see a dermatologist, get Tazorac and use a simple moisturizer.

Cetaphil and Mario Badescu are my favorites.

My skin was looking very dry with dark patches and I was initially going to get a skin peel from a beautician. However I had just purchased the Chanel foundation recommended for ladies over 50 – it came up as the number one product on a google search – and it was just beautiful.

With a successful foundation I then looked into Chanel Ultimate Revitalisation and purchased that product also. I can highly recommend it. The Chanel Ultimate Revitalisation has made the skin on my face much softer and well hydrated so the scaly skin around my nose has disappeared.

I can also see that the dark patches appear to be receding. I absolutely love this product!.

Hmmmm I still am not convinced about this line. When I have used this fully for a couple months I will post my full review. I think overall this is being marketed a little incorrectly. While they say this has multiplied targets groups of users this is really meant for dull, older skin that has lost elasticity and shows serious signs of overall depletion and fatigue.

While yes wrinkles come hand and hand with most of that they are not the only target here. The texture of this was a little to fine, I feel it was almost close to the sublimage fluid (which in the end had a higher concentrate) I feel the glow/sheen you get from these, while nice, is not as even and OMG lasting as what you would find in some products from brand like revive.

This is a stunningly formulated bi-phase scentless (truly scent free!) serum that is meant to hydrate, soothe and brighten the skin over time. It contains 4 key ingredients; Hyaluronic Acid (4 different types for all day hydration), Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Caffeine (Antioxidant) and Japanese Goldthread root (antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties).

There is also Vitamin E close to the end of the ingredient list. Merit suggested 2-3 pumps but I highly suggest starting with one pump and then add another if it’s not enough. For the record I have mature (43F), normal-dry skin and I personally find one pump is plenty for my skin.

The texture is lightweight, watery and the serum spreads beautifully and allows me to massage my face and neck. It absorbs into the skin quickly, leaves no tackiness or residue and layers well with all my other skincare products.

I’ve been using this serum twice a day and my skin is definitely softer, smoother and brighter. My skin texture has also improved; softer fines lines and my pores are less noticeable. I haven’t been wearing any foundation, just a couple dabs of concealer under my eyes and around my nose and I am good to go.

This serum is a staple in my routine and one that I will continuously repurchase. It’s decently priced and I appreciate that it comes in 50mL instead of the usual 30mL.

This is an absolutely gorgeous serum; first thoughts- the glass packaging is stunning. Very high quality, with a beautiful top and excellent pump. I will say the pump is a bit forceful with expending product so be careful.

Otherwise, this is a gorgeous honey hued serum that is so incredibly light, but potent. Shake well before squeezing two pumps onto my fingers and immediately pat on my face and decolletage. A little goes a long way so do not use more than the two pumps listed on the directions.

I immediately have a rich, supple complexion upon application; this imparts the most stunning glow and subtle bronze to my skin. At my age, any glow serum will not work; the product needs to be able to add plumpness to the skin while also making it look refreshed.

This serum does both; a noticeable benefit is how truly soft my skin feels after and for many hours later as well. I have keratosis pilaris, rosacea, and psoriasis and the Great Skin Glow serum does not aggravate my skin at all; I have not had any breakouts, dryness, irritation or excess oiliness.

I have used the Great Skin glow serum morning and night for the last four days and am very happy with this product. I have other Merit products that perform just as beautifully; if you want makeup and skincare products that are simple yet effective, Merit is for you.

I was skeptical, but this product truly transformed my skin. As a person with very sensitive skin, always needing to do a neck patch test and avoiding all fragrance, unclean ingredients, vitamin c, and majority of oils, I was blown away by this serum.

I’ve been using it for two weeks morning and night and here’s my breakdown. The first couple days, all I noticed was an immediate glow from the hydration. After about a week I noticed how deeply it was penetrating my skin, especially waking up and putting on makeup.

My skin had a deep glow and bounce back, it was so hydrated. About 10 days in is where I really noticed the crazier result- my texture was gone, my dullness disappeared, and the elasticity came back on my cheeks and frown lines.

I am in love with this product and have even removed 4 products I was using before because this does it all (ordinary hyaluronic acid, buffet, squalene oil, and moisturizer). I could not recommend this product enough! If you want a perfect glow, minimalistic skincare regiment, and to correct dull, dehydrated and textured skin, try this! Have switched to using Inkey list retinol serum after trying it, love it #freesample, I stopped using other products and used this alongside a moisturiser for one month. I have some acne scarring from my teens and have always hated them plus a little age related discolouration so was intrigued when I received this product.

It feels more like a cream than a serum but it goes on wonderfully and sinks into the skin beautifully. I had no issues with application and zero irritation which is fab! After one month I can honestly say I have seen a difference in my skin.

The scars appear softer which I think is the best we can hope for other than having a beauty or medical treatment. The discoloured areas less noticeable and my pores seem tighter and less visible which I am so pleased about.

I have been able to go “no foundation” which is a remarkable achievement for me. I would purchase this and continue to do so, it will be a holy grail product for me from now on. If you have scarring, visible pores, wrinkles/lines definitely give this product a try.

The price point is just amazing and I’m sure you will agree that this is a wonderful product.

The perfect serum for oily skin! I love this product to help reduce pores, uneven texture, and oiliness. I have been using this product every night for a month now and it has really become one of my favorite serums! My skin is usually sensitive to new products, but this one didn’t break me out or dry out my skin which is amazing! One of my biggest tips for this product is to use a small amount because a little goes a long way! If you use too much, it may not be suitable for the skin.

I also like to use this serum mainly on my forehead, nose, and tops of my cheeks as those are the spots I am usually the oiliest in. This product contains ingredients that are great for the skin, which is It blends into the skin so nicely when applied after toner.

My skin looks brighter too and overall has improved. For only $17. 99, this product is an absolute steal! The good thing about this serum is that it can be used by normal and combination skin, as well.

The packaging is simple, easy to use, and looks good on anyone’s vanity! I would most definitely repurchase this product. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new serum!.

Aside from using a retinol eye cream this was my first time using a retinol product on my whole face. I followed the instructions and started out using the product once a week for 3 weeks. I didn’t notice any difference in this time but my skin definitely felt dryer the next morning.

By week 3 I increased my usage to every 4 days. I continued like this for 2 weeks. I started to see a slight change to the appearance of my skin, smoother texture, and my post breakout marks had faded slightly.

My skin was still really dry the morning after use though. I then moved to using the cream every other day but only managed this for a week because my skin was so dry that week. In summary, I think this is a good product and with continued use it would probably make my skin look much more even and would reduce my post breakout marks considerably.

Sadly though I feel the product was too harsh for my skin so I would not purchase again.

I purchased this product for my teenage daughter who’s currently on MEK inhibitors to shrink tumor growth. Once she started her regimen, she began to experience skin issues. The pharmacist had provided some cream as part of her care package, but it was clogging her pores.

We saw a dermatologist, who recommended we get a Skinceuticals moisturizer (although she didn’t say which one). I consulted with a dermatologist via the Skinceuticals website and they recommended this product.

It was pricy, but we figured it’d be well worth it if we could see some results. Her skin was drying out because she wasn’t using a moisturizer in the interim while I was searching for other options.

We received our shipment 2-3 weeks ago, and my daughter raved about the product. “It feels luxurious on my skin,” she said, and her dryness began to disappear. Unfortunately, my daughter left it out on the bathroom counter, and my other daughter accidentally knocked it down, causing the glass bottle to break.

We were all heartbroken. My middle child, who knocked it down, apologized profusely, and my oldest was upset that she’d left it on the counter instead of in a designated place. If at all possible, we would really like to have another chance to give this great product another try.

I can’t justify buying it again so soon, but if we get another one shipped to us (or even a significant discount), I’ll buy it again when the bottle runs out, and leave an updated review here if possible.

I figure the glass bottle was meant to be more environmentally-friendly or denote how high-end it is – but unfortunately the container didn’t serve us well this time.

This is my first review of a product ever. I have oily, acne-prone skin. Adding to that, my skin is covered with post-acne hyperpigmentation and scars. This product works for my skin type. Period. It is doing to my skin exactly what it’s advertised to do.

My skin looks brighter, my hyperpigmentation is visibly fading away, my skin stay clear and pores remain unclogged. I can see how people with dry skin may have issues with this product because it’s not super moisturizing but for me and my oily skin this product is a god send.

Most moisturizers leave my skin looking greasy or clog my pores. This does neither! I use it night and day, and yes it doesn’t last long and yes it’s a little pricy considering that fact; however, being that I am no longer considering getting microneedling done on my face because this product is basically doing to my face what I expected to get from microneedling or other expensive facial treatments – I’m saving myself money! Will buy this forever.

I have older/sensitive (reactionary sensitive) skin and when it loves something, it loves it! have been using SkinCeuticals products for at least a decade, with my aestitician. At home I use SkinCeuticals start to finish.

have just added their. 03 Retinol. I needed something soothing to use the following morning. Phyto A+ is perfect. Part serum, part moisturizer and definitely a “tonic” for my skin as it gets used to the new Retinol routine.

So far, Phyto A+ soothes, brightens (glow effect) and the redness I was experiencing is tempered. I REALLY do see a difference. I use Triple Lipid at night, because I am in love with the results and am a long-time user in general.
