I purchased Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color Blonde Anti-Brass Toner nourishing hair treatment on clearance and hope I can find this after it is gone. This has completely removed any brassiness from my hair.

The scent is wonderful and I can feel an instant softness in my hair, even while in the shower after rinsing. The package doesn’t indicate that it helps with straightening hair but, I have noticed that my hair is much straighter naturally when I use this product without having to use heat to obtain a straight finish.

I also notice that my hair has less frizz when I use this product therefore I use either less serum or no serum before finishing my look.

So I’ve been a blonde several times in my life. Each time I’ve dyed my hair blonde, I’d soon realize the stress of managing the bright vibrance of the initial color. I am a professional stylist and would run across other dyed blondes (Both Male and Female) who would have the same issues.

This product not only worked on my 4c naturally coily hair, but also on a male clients super straight hair. Granted, this model/actor only sported blonde tips for an ombré effect, he still allowed me to test the product out on him before a shoot.

His hair went from this unruly brassy mess, to a tamed perfectly moisturized coif afterward. *I’ll add in some close ups so that you can see for yourself* Every Stylist understands that purple shampoos and conditioners neutralize the warm shaded base of blonde hair types and hides brassy tones that often sneak up after one or two washes.

This product is no different in that aspect. The only noticeable difference is that it actually leaves kinker more coily hair manageable and vibrant for days on end in comparison to it’s more expensive competitors.

***I wish that we would’ve had longer to test the product before having to give a review. I have a show right around the corner and I would’ve have loved to see how well this product held up when it comes to runway/stage lighting.

Perhaps look into more in depth reviews with extended timing or more questions for professionals. Key Notes: 3C and higher Hair Types will have to use more of this product to really notice a difference in comparison to straighter hair types.

If you use heat (not direct but a blow dryer ) after applying this product you can achieve softer more longer lasting results. Straighter Hair Types need to really be careful how often they use this product because it seems to weigh down hair over time.

*Honestly – Anti-Brass Treatment is nothing more than a glorified purple based conditioner. The difference. It’s richer. I recommend this formula over various others.

I have color treated platinum blonde hair. When I say platinum blonde hair, I’m talking about a very icy cool blonde color reminiscent of the type of blonde you see in Iceland or Norway. Naturally, my hair is closer to dark brown.

So of course, I have a lot of brassiness in my hair naturally that has to be dealt with. When I tried this conditioning treatment, I was up wow old by the lovely way it helped with the tangles in my hair.

It also did help to lift some of the brassiness from my hair. I would use this product as a deep conditioner even if I did not have brassiness. It is really that good. It does lift brassiness, however, it is not a purple shampoo or conditioner like what you may be accustomed to using.

It’s a more subtle conditioning treatment. I highly recommend this product to family and friends who have either color treated hair edging on platinum, light blonde, ash gray, or those types of colors.

This is a lovely hair colouring product: easy to use and great colour results. The smell is, not unpleasant, just different. My only criticism would be that using it on my level 7/8 hair, I used 8A, there isnt enough ash in it to counteract the orange undertone that kicks up when you lighten in that mid blonde range, so it looks a bit warmer than I would have liked.

Toning shampoo (blue) helps. It will probably get cooler on my second use when I retouch my roots. It looked lovely on the lighter parts of my hair though so my advice would be to use it if your hair is lighter than a level 8, but be prepared for your colour to be warmer than ash if its darker.

The hair mask thats included has a, again not unpleasant, smell to it thats different, but gives lovely, shiny results. I will be using this colour product again and would recommend it.

I have been trying to buy and use more organic beauty products, particularly hair care products without SLS & Parebens etc. I did a patch test the night before to check this new product didn’t cause any reactions – it didn’t, the next day I used the product.

First thing I noticed it was harder to apply than my previous dye(I have dyed my own hair for decades) but it was after I had dyed my hair I started to notice the problems. Firstly my hair became so dry and lifeless, then I noticed I was starting to lose more hair than normal, clumps appeared on clothes and worktops etc.

I have never suffered hair loss like this before. I wasn’t completely happy with the colour either. I have always used Ash Blonde to colour my hair and this was nowhere near as nice as the brand I had been using, it faded after two weeks or so as well, I have never suffered these problems before.

I was reluctant to buy this product again after using it just once and I would not recommend it.

When I used this product the first time it covered my grey. After that, it didn’t cover it. I tried it 3 more times and although mixed correctly it did Nothing at all. Seems like they changed the product.

I started using Madison Reed 12 months ago to avoid going to the salon and wanted something less harsh on my hair. The color I choose didn’t cover the grays and called several times and spoke with a colorist who sent different shades.

Still after 2 weeks, the grays were back. I began noticing my hair was falling out in the shower and also very brittle and dry. I was receiving 2 bottles monthly because my hair was so thick and after 6 months, only needed to use 1.

I went to 2 different dermatologists that said it could be age related but to also stop using Madison Reed. I went online to cancel my subscription, but they make it extremely difficult to do that. They don’t want to see anyone go.

I called several times and an automated system said to leave a message. Finally, I did speak with customer service who said she would cancel my subscription but my July order already shipped on July 5th.

Today is July 28th and I still have not received it so I can return it. I checked on my account and it shows it was actually processed to ship on July 19th. the exact day I called to cancel. How ironic! They also told me they would send me an email with free shipping label, but I never received that.

I emailed customer service again for the label, but they said to go online to cancel the order. If you really like Madison Reed products, go to Ulta Beauty to buy them and don’t sign up for something that you are held hostage for.

If you’re hair is falling out or feels dry and brittle, stop using this product. I recently learned there is a pending lawsuit for a harsh chemical added to their products that causes hair loss. All I want is to be done with this company and be able to get my refund for an order they shipped out that I never received.

I have been using Madison Reed hair color for a little over a year. I have short, naturally dark brown hair, with probably 50% gray now. I started getting grays in my late 20’s and have been dying since then.

A friend told me about Madison Reed, she suffers from allergies from most hair dye, but not this one. I have tried three different colors so far. I started with 5NRM Trieste Red (dark mahogany red) and used this several times.

Then tried 5NGM Catania Brown (dark mahogany brown), nice but this had the same issue as the Trieste Red, the color seemed to rub off my gray hair, revealing my gray’s faster. Then I tried 4. 5NNN Barletta Brown (true dark brown for resistant grays), on their website it indicates it is for resistant grays.

I do think the color lasts longer. I dye my hair every 4 weeks and because my hair is short, I only need to use half the tube of color and developer. I apply with a hair color applicator brush to apply.

Great product, though I am not able to compare it to other products as I used henna prior to this.

I had put my hair light-medium blonde hair through three days of hell trying to remove a permanent toner that turned my hair a dull gray. Soap cap, baking soda, dandruff shampoo, dishwashing liquid, color remover—you name it.

By the time I was done, my hair was orange. I tried to correct it by putting a dark blonde color over it, but it was still brassy with plenty of red/orange tones. In despair, I drove to the local Walgreen’s and purchased a box of Garnier Extra Light-Ash Blonde 111 (White Chocolate,) hoping that the ash color would take care of the brass.

I applied it, left it on for 30 minutes and prayed. After rinsing and applying the after-color mask, I was ecstatic to see that my hair was a light beige blonde with slightly darker and lighter tones.

I will most likely have to use a purple shampoo to keep the cooler tone of my hair, but I am totally ok with that. I know that there are a lot of negative reviews on here comparing the older formulation to the new, but this was perfect for me.

I tried out the Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Color Crème in a light brown shade. I have naturally dark brown hair with auburn tint in my hair, so I wanted to go a little lighter brown for the summertime.

The kit has everything you need and is super easy to use/apply, which I appreciate as other dyes can be quite difficult to use. It also wasn’t messy at all, which is a huge plus for dying hair in an apartment.

I loved how healthy it made my hair feel after dying, like so smooth and silky. It’s now been three weeks since and my hair is still feeling really healthy. However, the dye color didn’t work on me at all.

You can not even tell I dyed my hair unless I am in the sun, then you can see some highlights that look kind of light !but barely. If anything, it made my hair a little more red tinted than it naturally is, which is kind of strange.

I probably should have used bleach before using this, but the box had a picture of what my hair color would look like after using the dye and it was close enough to the color I wanted. Either this dye isn’t very pigmented or my hair just didn’t take to it at all.

Either way, I have used this dye in the past and had positive results, so it might just be the color I chose this time around.

For years I’m using L’Oreal Superior Preference 9G Light Golden Blond hair color creme. Always excellent, true golden color-tone that lasts me 8 weeks. It was time to color my hair but I couldn’t find this product, so I decided to try Garnier Nutrisse color cream in the shade 93 Honey Butter which described as Light Golden Blond on the box.

Omg! The color turned out ashy (which I hate bc it reminds me of my grey hair) with some weird pink undertone. Whatever grey hair I had – they came out same grey without getting any coverage. The instructions are identical to my favorite L’Oreal color creme, so I couldn’t do anything wrong while using Garnier product.

Appled and waited for 25 minutes, then rinsed it. Eveen remaining true golden color on my hair from last coloring session disappeared and turned into ashy ugly color. I can’t wait now to get rid of it ASAP! I can’t belive this product works for other people.

Waste of time, waist of money, awful results.

This product worked but my hair didnt get as toned as I hoped it would. Im also wondering if I left the bleach on my hair long enough or if I just need to bleach in stages. All in all, I am happy; after bleaching my hair it was bright yellow and this product toned it to a much more natural looking color.

I plan to wait 10 days and bleach again and tone again using the same products. I imagine I will get the results I am looking for. Using coconut oil to coat my hair prior to bleaching and then using Blond Me bleach powder, Blond Me volume 20 developer, and Blond Me Toner in Ice, my hair stayed nice and healthy.

Virtually no damage. I expect a little damage from the second bleaching but that is yet to be seen.

Beautiful toner. Made my hair icy white and so pretty. Worked very well. The price is amazing and you don’t have to be a professional to get professional product. One of my favorite toners. Will buy again.

It was super simple to apply and let me tell you it smells so good! It contains biotin which I love to use to keep my hair healthy. I did notice my hair was a bit dry and frizzy after. The shampoo and conditioner are included as well as a color remover pad.

You have to lay it on thick particularly at the roots and the first couple of months you may need to apply it twice to cover all the Gray, after that as the product description mentions your hair absorbs the colour and doesn’t fade as quickly and monthly or 2 monthly touch ups won’t need much product at all.

I bought this organic hair dye on the basis that it was all natural. I followed the instructions meticulously and after rinsing and drying my hair found absolutely no difference in colour. You would never know u had applied anything to my hair as the before and after results were identical.

What a complete waste of money! Do not purchase unless you want to throw money quite literally down the drain.

Shopping for an at-home dye kit can be a daunting experience. When every box on the shelf over-promises luxe, salon-worthy locks that will sparkle like diamonds, it’s easy to overlook Revlon’s no-frills packaging.

Don’t be fooled by the simple packaging or too-good-to-be-true pricepoint: this is hands down the best product on the shelf. I’ve used various shades from the black / brown end of the spectrum and am amazed every time at the coverage, ease of use, and (most importantly) the results.

The results truly match the sample swatches on the box. If you’ve dyed your hair black before, you know box dyes sometimes have a tendency to lean blue / purple. I assure you, Colorsilk Black 10 is a TRUE black.

No undertones whatsoever. Other things I love about this product: there is ZERO harsh or unpleasant chemical smell (the only at-home dye I’ve ever been able to use in the bathroom with the door closed and no fan on).

I used to use a different brand, which became more difficult to find in my local pharmacy so after reading mostly positive reviews, I decided to try Revlon ColorSilk. I’ve used it several times, light brown, medium brown and last night- light ash brown.

It’s mostly to add some depth to my already brunette/light brown hair and cover some grays. I wash my hair every day (not good, I know), so the color does gradually fade in most likely less time than for most people, but I can still get away with coloring once a month or so.

The color is easy to mix (pour color into application bottle), there’s NO smell at all (during or after coloring), it doesn’t seem to leave color behind in the shower, it lasts as long as (if not longer than) other similar brands and is ridiculously inexpensive, which is why I was hesitant at first.

Also, unlike with other colors I’ve used where sometimes the color ends up a few shades darker than what was intended, I’ve never had the color end up darker than what I wanted. Last night I even left the color on a little longer for the stubborn grays but the color came out beautiful- not like the muddy dark brown or black that can sometimes happen if you leave it on too long.

Biggest plus? the conditioner is beyond awesome!!!!! Just a tiny bit will do (I have shoulder length hair) so I save the packet so I can get a couple of uses out of it. If they sold the conditioner separately, I’d definitely buy it!!! (Please, Revlon!) It leaves hair super soft without being greasy or leaving the hair feeling coated.

While I can’t say I’ve used the product for 20+ years like some others, I can say it’s been a home run every time I’ve used it.

I spent ages trying to figure out which toner to get following an over-bleached half head balayage, which had left my hair a combination of yellow and white on the top, and with a huge contrast between my brunette natural colour underneath.

Having explicitly asked for a warm dark blonde, I was on the hunt for something which would make my blonde hair a bit darker and also add a nice tone to it. I was drawn in by the other reviews referring to this toner being great on over-bleached hair which was either white or yellow, transforming hair into a honey/caramel-blonde – which is what I had asked the hairdresser for.

I was half tempted to go back to another hairdressers and pay for a toner but with the cost of living crisis I thought I’d give this a go. I used 4 drops with my normal conditioner, left it on for 10 minutes and honestly there is already a huge huge difference – the tone is so nice and I’m FINALLY happy with my hair colour.

I’ll keep using this – and will probably try adding more drops next time to see what happens. I never leave reviews but given how many hours I sunk into trying to figure out what to buy – and nearly spent £30 on something else – I thought I’d leave some details in case it helps shorten the search for someone else in my predicament.

Went from overbleached yellow/white hair to a warm honey blonde. Really happy.

Okay, let’s get something straight. This does work! It certainly tones. However, if you have Balayage like me I do not recommend it for you! Initially I washed it off and dried my hair excited to have my multitonal colour much cooler and ashier but had to try not to cry.

The result was horrible. However, once I calmed down I could logically see what happened. This toner knocked out ALL the yellow tones, literally all of them. BUT it didn’t even touch anything even slightly more gold/ginger.

Let’s be clear – my hair was NOT orange or ginger. I just had subtle streaks of some of these tones after pre-lightening my balayage to good level 8 / level 9 (brunette naturally). Basically this toner is obviously very PURPLE based (opposite yellow on the colour wheel).

The ending result for me being the toner turned my lightest (level 10) bits silver, the level 9 bits a very ashy blonde but knocking out just the yellow from the rest actually made the gold/ginger bits MORE PROMINENT.

I now have a grey/ginger mess and am now going to attempt a blue shampoo to try and correct this as best I can for now. The product clearly works but is best suited for people who are blonde with strictly yellow tones ONLY.

And at least medium to light blonde. I would give 4 stars but the box did say it worked on dark blonde and it didn’t so hence only 3 stars. Also, I have hair down to my upper chest that’s on the finer side and I had to use two lots of 40ml of conditioner to saturate my whole head fully.

I used 10 drops in 40ml and had to make some more mixture up halfway through so used 20 drops in total. Personally wouldn’t buy again. But that’s because it’s not suited to me and personally didn’t tone my hair any more than a good purple shampoo does.

This is such a clever product. I became allergic to hair dye about 7 years ago, I tried so called natural dyes, henna, pretty much everything. I’m not allergic to PPD which seems to be the ingredient that gets removed by companies.

Resorcinol is what I think affects me and it’s a petrochemical that is used in numerous beauty products. It’s dangerous!! Anyway, I opted for the caramel as I bleached my hair as I can longer dye it dark, and wanted to tone it but to a softer, warmer blonde.

I didn’t want silver, grey or ash tones. This hits the spot. I really want to try bronde but it didn’t arrive when I ordered it. This allowed me to leave the house though as I had almost white hair with bits of pale yellow.

It was not attractive at all lol. It’s easy to achieve a root smudge and it doesn’t stain anything unlike many other semi colours. I absolutely love it! I’ll eventually try every colour I think But if you need to tone your hair and don’t want it to be ash then it’s perfect for you.

You can also mix different colours to get a unique colour of your own. It’s literally genius lol.

I was super excited to be testing this complimentary kit and I’m going to be honest with you about why. I am 49 yrs old have been a total slacker in regards to my hair color for quite awhile. When the opportunity presented itself I decided enough was enough.

I recently decided to dye my hair a coppery red color after being dark and before that platinum blonde (my hair has been through it!). This is truly such a gorgeous shade, most people assume it’s my natural hair color.

After using this my hair feels as healthy as it possibly can considering it was already damaged to begin with. I touch up my roots with this and 30 volume and then mix this with 10 volume for the rest of my hair and it turns out perfect each time.

It’s red so obviously it will fade but this doesn’t stain my tub or shower and it honestly looks great even after weeks of fading. Highly recommend!.

#abstarterkit came and my friend tested the red out. It’s so vibrant and shifts in the light. Here it looks like a gorgeous Ariel red so you too can be a beautiful mermaid. Under the office lights it’s a little darker red almost maroon.

I have used henna to color my hair before but the application always needed intense preparation and was a whole lot messy. Khadi (medium brown) natural hair color was effortless to apply. It already has a mix of beautiful color brewing ingredients such as indigo and henna along with other hair protecting ayurvedic ingredients.

I am so pleased with the results. OMG, my washed up faded brown hair has a beautiful cinnamon brown color and gives a brilliant shine. I am also told that using the product (same color) multiple times would give even a richer color.

My greys are covered. My hair fall and dandruff has also reduced. This natural hair color has everything my hair and scalp need. I’ll be also trying some of other Khadi products as well. I’m so impressed with this product!.

My natural hair colour is black with a lot of grey hair. First time I used 6N which was a little bit too light for me. Second time I mixed 25ml 6N and 5ml 5N. That made it slightly darker. Next time I’m thinking to mix 20ml 6N and 10ml 5N.

i gave up on my original colour purchase – all to hard and bought Herbatint. it was so easy to use and colour was brilliant. really natural and matched perfectly the colour my hairdresser had been using.

as lock down was extending i just needed to get rid of my grey and cheer myself up. covered grey brilliantly so can’t recommend it enough. check the colour chart though and pick by sight not description as its slightly different from what i was familiar with.

i’m light brownish for roots but bought the dark blonde as there was none and this was a perfect match as i said.

Herbatint is the best hair colour I have used by far. I have tried so many other brands over the years that are quite harsh with very strong smells, but your products are so gentle and the colour lasts much longer.

I was a first time user looking for gray coverage in my brown hair. I was hesitant to go the permanent route due to the dryness and damage permanent color can inflict. I have 4c thick, kinky, coily natural hair.

As someone who never really colors their hair, I can say that I really like this one right here. I recently took the plunge and went for it, and I have to say I’m feeling the outcome. I’m a plain Jane usually all the time lol, so for me this hair color change was HUGE.

I went for “Flaming Desire”, which is like a vibrant orange tone. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that it didn’t get ALL of my hair color to change the same. I have black hair with brown tint, and although it got the color right for most of my hair, the rest of it is more of a lighter brown shade.

I realize it’s because my hair is pretty virgin when it comes to chemicals after being natural for so long, but for whatever reason I expected more. We are going to add a little more in a couple weeks to lighten it up before my trip to SoCal, so we will see how it turns out then!.

Excellent product to provide a soft pink tone to your hair. You can easily control the intensity. Love this product and have used it for years. Lasts for ages as you only use a few drops each time (for a pale pink).

A few drops in a glass of water, pour it over my hair and I apply this every couple of weeks – with multiple washes in between applications. This is the product that used to be called Magic Silver Rose and it provides the best soft pink.

I have tried many other products and they just do not give you as good a result.

This product is a lifesaver! After getting carried away with lockdown do-it-yourself hair colour and turning out orange and yellow tresses, Brilliant Silver White helps to cool it all down and turn yellow to ice blond, tone down the orange, and even give me some streaks of faint lilac which I quite like.

It is not a permanent solution, but it is so easy to pour on your hair after washing towel drying. I use about 8 – 10 drops in half a litre of water currently, after finding that 5 drops didn’t do much.

Sometimes I also massage it in with my shampoo. So much easier than messing around further with other toners that require developer or more bleach. A good rescue product.

This product works as well as the reviews I had read on line. I used 4 drops in a 3rd full, hand basin and just poured in over my head using a cup about 1/2 a dozen times and it certainly helped reduced the brassy yellow.

I do however have a few mauve bits on some of the ends, but that doesn’t bother me. One 15ml bottle should last quite a while.

I loved the idea of using something that didn’t contain all the nasty stuff other dyes contain. It took about an hour to apply to my long hair then a further four hours required for it to do its thing.

The colour on my natural auburn colour looked great but the greys were a bright orange! After leaving it for another three days to oxidise further it dulled slightly but was still too orange for my liking.

My usually frizzy hair felt silky and had some lovely shine to it. I rang the Dessert shadow company owner for some advice and she was super helpful! After much discussion and emailing of photos we decided to try using medium chestnut colour that was ‘diluted’ by adding Amla to it 50:50.

It came out just as I had hoped! Lighter than medium chestnut and less orange than caramel had produced.
