Really soft and comfortable. I’ve worn it with a longer midi skirt and leggings. For more fitted styles, I go with a small at MPG and an x-small for relaxed fits. I stuck to the small in this style for an oversized fit.

I also went with the oatmeal color and think it is even prettier in person. Highly recommend!.

This is my new favourite sweater! I wear it ever week. It is so soft and cozy! It is the perfect fit and item for fall. I am a medium and ordered a medium and love the fit. I would say, true to size.

I want to order it in every colour.

The fabric is everything as described – soft, comfortable, breathable. Order a size smaller that usual. I normally wear a small but could easily have done an XS in this. The neck opening is also a bit smaller that pictured.

My son needed some warm socks to go skating outside. Well we found just what we were looking for! My son is 8 years old and he wear size 4 boots and they fit him perfectly! Great buy!

My so. Complains wool is itchy. These are a perfect alternative. They are warm and comfy.

Bought these for a last minute ski trip for my diagnostic and they kept her feet so warm! She even wears them playing hockey. They are not too thick and fit in her skate nicely

These are nicely made and fit well, but are extremely long. Shouldn’t matter too much with ski boots, but I’ve worn them once with regular boots and kept stepping on them, which was really annoying. They’re kind of low-cut, which could make it easier for snow to go up your back, but the nice fit is worth it.

They say they’re insulated, but it’s more like they’re lined, which I appreciate. Haven’t worn them skiing yet. Hope this review leads to me winning the sweepstakes!.

I can’t go back to regular socks. I only use compression socks now. My toes stay decently warm. If you have bad circulation, give these socks a try. I’ve worn them open to close. My toes never feel numb and barely feel cold.

My only wish is that I found these sooner. My partner loves them too! Great for yourself or as a gift to your snow sports buddy.

These are a nice pair of functional, utilitarian socks. Well built and obviously designed with durability in mind. Pros: Sleek, thin, form-fitting material that is highly breathable and avoids bunching.

(Maybe a little too tight) Fit true to size No hot spots Stay cool when activity levels increase Ultra durable, I mean it – these socks will hold up to whatever you throw at them. Truly Over the Calf, if you pull on them enough they could be Over the Knee.

Cons: My biggest gripe with Darn Tough socks, which I love, is the asymmetric toe design. I wish they made left and right footed socks and if they ever make the decision to do so I will gladly replace every other sock brand in my dresser with Darn Tough.

The material feels a lot more like nylon and less like Merino wool (hence the durability) Just don’t expect soft, plush socks. Worth noting: The material around the calf might be a little too tight. I find myself looking forward to taking them off after a long hike and it takes a few hours for the socks imprint on my upper calf to disappear.

I don’t consider this a Con however, socks that don’t stay up are a major pet peeve of mine and these definitely don’t slouch while hiking. Overall, these are a solid pair of socks that should outlast any other reasonably built pair of socks you own.

The trade off is that they aren’t super comfortable- but comfortable enough. One last thing: The website describes these as RFL OTC ultra light socks. I didn’t, and still don’t, have any idea what RFL means (Real F#$&ing Loud? Robot Fighting League?) No idea.

There is no explanation online or on the packaging. The package doesn’t even have RFL anywhere on it but it does say SNOW across the front in big bold letters. In fact, that’s all it says on the packaging.

So… apparently these are snow socks, thought you’d like to know.

T4050 is a nice blend. Like the heavyweight feel of the socks-79% Merino Wool, 20% Nylon & 1% Lycra Spandex. Of course, it’s NOT wintertime right now, so cannot say how they will preform in colder weather.

The cushion is nice though. They calf area doesn’t pinch into the skin or leave the “ring around the leg indentation” like other cheap socks do. LOVE how they engrave the T4050 into the sock on the TOP of the toe area.

Makes it easy to see WHICH sock you’re using and for reorder’s too. THANKS DARN TOUGH for going AGAINST THE GRAIN of what other company’s do(not putting the style # on theirs). Haven’t washed them yet, so cannot say how that will look.

These socks are great! I have over 35 pairs of Darn Tough socks now (various weights, models and designs) and all my other socks have been relegated to the rag bucket. Merino wool notwithstanding, these socks are just outstanding in all aspects.

As someone that wears Danner Fort Lewis boots all day/nearly every day (for the last 40+ years) that can pretty quickly wear out the usual players in the ‘high end’ sock world, these Darn Tough socks hold up like no other ‘high end’ socks I’ve ever owned.

Wish I’d found these a long time ago. Expensive? A little. Worth it? Absolutely. Get some. You won’t regret it.

I have yet to find a truly warm pair of ski socks in 20 years as my feet get cold easily. I have tried every type of merino wool, etc. , out there and when I saw these had Primaloft in them, I had to see if just maybe this would keep my feet warm.

I was shocked to ski in 15 degree weather, no boot gloves on the boots, and my feet were warm. I must have 25 pairs of barely used ski socks, but won’t wear anything else since finding these which have Primaloft and Merino Wool.

They aren’t thick, not too thin, just perfect! I also love the colors they come in, and feel the quality is top notch.

Tears are flowing down my face as I write this review. The Flexfit Cupron mask was phenomenal until I lost it. It fit perfectly, it was protective, and fashionable. A co-worker of mine purchased a number of them after seeing mine and having a discussion about its functionality & reliability.

Love these socks. My wife bought three pair to try. Loved them that much we bought another three pair. So comfortable, they fit like a glove. Love the added cushion as well as copper compression. Definitely recommend especially if you are a runner.

I really do like these socks. I gave a 4 instead of a 5 because I typically like thicker socks for skiing. My feet run super cold (I have Raynaud’s) so I could use a little more warmth to these. However great for spring skiing when you don’t have a super cold day.

I actually love running and hiking in higher length socks, and these are great for any athletic activity. The socks didn’t move in my ski boots and fit very comfortably in these. Same goes for shoes.

I would still buy these for other activities, but will look for warmer rated smartwool socks for skiing. #smartwoollove.

These sock are really nice and stay up on your leg without any discomfort. I thought they would be a little thicker but wasn’t disappointed when I put them on. I was surprised how warm they are being so thin.

Not sure how warm they would be in the extreme cold. I was recently looking into Sock Liners for really cold weather but after doing a lot of looking realized these would be perfect as a liner for extreme cold or wear alone for warmer days.

I’m glad I found them. I ‘m perfectly happy with these socks and my sock liner search is over I already have them.

I live in Alaska where it’s most comfortable for me to wear knee-highs for about 8 months of the year. I got these hoping they’d be a good neutral to pair with all of my tops that are on the magenta color spectrum, and that’s how they are working (note: I mostly wear shoes with long pants, so only the ankle shows).

I also got a pair of second-hand dusty lilac cords and these socks work great with those too. They’ll be great with boots/skirts also. Nice squishy cushion. I wish SmartWool made more socks in knee-high height; crew socks just don’t cut it in Alaska for most of the year.

Product arrive post haste

Had these socks for about a month now, and I have to say, I’m addicted!! They’re just off-the-charts comfortable, amazingly warm, and are perfect for winter. I’ve worn them snowboarding and just around town, and they also seem very durable.

Absolutely will buy other pairs in different colors!.

Three years ago, I purchased my very first pair of FITS from Elliot’s in Maryville TN the guy assured me they were the best socks on earth and that I would have no regrets paying 20 bucks for a pair.

Several pairs later, I can safely say these socks are everything and more ! Who can say they love their socks? I can! It’s weird to be so happy about buying a new pair of socks, but happy I am indeed.

I actually grieve when I have to retire my threadbarren pair with double holes in the toes from wearing them inside out. These really are the best socks in the whole world. Thank You FITS for making the best quality socks anyone could ask for.

I have owned/used these socks for the last three ski seasons. As a ski professional, I ski daily, five months out of the year. I have close fitting ski boots that do not have room for cushioning and extra padding.

I choose the Ultra Light sock for that reason. The sock hugs my foot and lower leg without ever bunching up or cutting off any circulation. This sock allows for great feel for the snow and ski, not affecting performance.

After about 150 days in the sock, I did get a thinning out of the fabric at the bottom of the heel. Totally acceptable at that point in my book. The rest of the sock like new. These wash beautifully.

I dry them in the dryer on a normal temperature setting. I have a size W10-10. 5 narrow, low volume foot and wear a size large.

I thought I would want a warm and cozy sock, but these are actually a little too thick for my ski preference. They are great for cold days or lounging around the house! Probably won’t opt for this version again because of that.

They aren’t the warmest sock I’ve ever used.

I bought these thinking they were two pairs of the socks pictured in the item page, but the second pair of socks is striped electric green and blue. They’re good quality socks but aren’t really as advertised and don’t really match my personality.

My young hockey player/nordic skier loves wearing these at the rink and on the trails. They are long and stay up without being too tight. No more reports of cold feet while on the ice!

I had a pair of these as boot socks and absolutely loved those, so I figured I’d give these a try. Let me start with the design, which I love. Just slipping these on is like running down main street on the 4th of July.

If it doesn’t end with fireworks or waving American flags, you’re doing it wrong. As for the fit, they slip on like a glove, while ushering in a new era of freedom for your feet. Imagine taking a breathe atop Half Dome with a bald eagle at your side and that hit song/great American anthem that gets you fired up, blasting as your theme song (you know the one).

That’s the feeling. Lastly, but certainly not least, the material feels amazing. Its as if the material was taken from the coat of Uncle Sam and sewn by Betsy Ross. The material is tough enough to have gone toe-to-toe with Teddy Roosevelt, while soft and supple enough to have been worn by Jackie O.

If these don’t get your blood pumping with pure, unfiltered freedom, you might be a communist. That’s ok, because everyone deserves second chances at freedom. Not only that, but these will get everyone’s heads turning and with their hands in full salute.

And that’s exactly why these were recently endorsed by John Hancock AND George Washington. Bottom line: these are the greatest, most American socks you will ever wear, unless you wear other Darn Tough American Flag socks.

I wrote a novel last review so I’ll keep this one short and concise. Great quality!!! Life changing for me because it eliminated all the sock bs from my life like matching, losing one in wash (I now hand wash), holes in one sock, etc.

life I said before my only “complaint” is that they don’t have a loyalty program where you are rewarded for being a dedicated customer. I for example think I have purchased 5-7 pairs the last year and it would be nice to say get a free pair or 1/2 off or something.

That said I LOVE that they don’t do the coupon/sale stuff-speaks to their faith in the product! I also have not tried utilizing the lifetime guarantee- I do have one pair that was the first I ever bought that I will need to send in so I will update how that process works and if it is indeed plausible.

Just from the photo here alone you can tell the quality of construction!.

Why almost? Well it’s like this, I’m 6’5” and work out som my calf is a bit bigger than most and my leg a bit longer. The sock cradles my foot in softness and support but the top doesn’t quite make it over the top of my calf, which is being embraced with a bear hug from an anaconda.

So in short, fits foot well, fits leg not so well. I think we’re they to do a taller size with either a bit more stretch or just a bit more room in the calf, it’d be perfect. If you’re of a normal size, not an overgrown kid like myself, these will probably be perfect for you.

I did not use these for snowboarding, I use them for when I’m flying more than a couple hours.

Didn’t like the product as compared to other winter gears that we took for our Gulmarg trip. Though you can manage it with this but not very thick to keep the feets warm. I had some other sports socks and surprisingly they were better.

Super soft and comfy. Generous sizing. Despite recommendations on the tag, I did put it through the dryer – it did not shrink, but it did pill a bit. For someone who is short (5’1″), it nicely covers my behind when I have leggings on.

Unfortunately this is the first MPG item I’ve purchased that I did not like. It was extremely boxy and ill fitting on me. I’m a bit ***** up top and it dropped very weird and very wide. I am a fan of a loser fit , but this was definitely too loose.

Had to return.

Wore them with trail running shoes on a freezing and rainy day at 4500 m (14763 feet), and even though I was completely wet, they still kept me warm. Also, they are absolutely comfortable, they don’t move around, and I didn’t get any blisters.

The quality is amazing. I’m absolutely in love with them.

I bought 2 pair of these on sale early this year and had trouble locating a third pair after trying them out. Finally found the third pair so that I would have enough for 3 day out of town ski trips.

These are comfortable and warm. Fit my ski boots perfectly!.

I just bought a pair of these and am finding them super soft and warm. They are snug but not tight. They stay up nicely and they cover my calves without being too tight. I use them mainly for snow shoeing.

Agree with the previous reviewer just received these socks, they are categorised on the website as mens. The description is unisex, when arrived the packaging labeled as women. I am sure the are ok for both genders though.

The socks started falling apart after 30 hikes. Salomon gave me a coupon for buying new ones.

Socks fit is comfortable, and I like the RT and LT feature for a better fit.

These are OK, but. I miss the material you used to make the Stance Socks I’ve had for years and years and love. For example, the black with white polka dots, and brown with teal polka dots. Love them!!! They’re thick and soft.

Are you going to make socks like those again? Wish I’d bought 100 pairs of each.

You can’t go wrong with Stance socks. These are nice and thick and they stay up. Very comfortable. Would buy them again! They will be great for hiking, snowboarding, and any time you need a sock on the thicker side.
