20 Best Ski Helmets For Men (2023 Updated)

I bought this helmet because it’s one of the few MIPS helmets certified for both summer (biking) and winter use, which was important to me knowing that material properties can change based on temperature and a helmet that’s safe in one season may not be as effective in another.

It’s really nice to just have one helmet I can use for all seasons instead of keeping multiple around. Pros: – Extremely comfortable – vast improvement over any other helmet I’ve owned. – The actual inside of the helmet can adjust sizes, and in each size there’s some elastic stretch too.

Due to this it accommodates changes in hairstyle or wearing a beanie/headstock underneath very easily. – All-season certification Cons?: – It’s hard to say this is a con becasue I expected it by looking at it, but there’s not as much venting as a dedicated summer helmet.

I am used to skateboard style helmets and it’s about the same as those, but it won’t breathe like a bike helmet so don’t expect that. I live in Texas and I still use it though. – The ear flaps are a little difficult to remove.

It felt like I was going to break them but then they popped out. Could be a bit easier to remove. Overall, super comfortable and a great value, especially considering the alternative of owning 2-3 different helmets for various seasons/activities.

Overall, highly recommend.

Main thing to know with the new MIPS helmets is how it may affect your size. I’m in the upper end of the medium size range and have worn a medium (non MIPS) Smith Holt helmet for a long time. The Medium MIPS was too small for me so I had to move up to the large.

I’ve seen in various reviews and from support at Smith that the MIPS system (depending on how it’s added to an existing helmet) can make the helmet a bit more snug which makes sense when you see how the MIPS works.

That said if you have the opportunity to try one on at a local shop before buying, I’d recommend it. The Maze is definitely an upgrade from the Smith Holt. The ear pads and chinstrap guard on the Maze are softer and thicker, and removable if you go with the beanie/under goggle style.

The overall helmet shell is similar with some additional rubberized trim on the underside of the brim of the helmet over the foam. The overall look is clean with minimal vents. The goggle strap lock is fairly thin compared to some of the thicker, wider ones and it’s removable if needed.

I’d definitely recommend this helmet, but again if you can try one on beforehand that may help you dial in your size so you can order with confidence and avoid any returns due to fit.

Simple and sleek. Nothing too disappointing. My wife bought a different, cool looking helmet with more “flare”, but this will get the job done. While my wife was acquiring her balance like a child learning to control their head when walking, I was able to hit the slopes right away so it paid off.

Very light weight helmet. Had to get a new thinner ski hood in order for it to fit under the helmet. Seems like it may run the slightest bit small, but take that with a grain of salt. My head diameter was on the greater side of the sizing intervals.

I wear my ski helmet 10 hrs/day as I work on the mountain at a ski resort in UT. I’ve worn all the mainstream helmets and spent a ton of money expecting it to be more comfortable, more adjustable, warmer, better vented.

Then I purchased the Wildhorn Drift helmet. It offers all the features I need in a helmet. It’s comfortable to wear for 10 hrs, I can adjust the size based on wearing a head sock or not, the venting allows me to keep my head cool while working on warmer days or during mountain setup/take down, and the vent system keeps snow out even when in the open mode.

Recommend this helmet to everyone.

Returned the helmet because I’ve learnt Wildhorn will be selling a new Highline helmet with MIPS and I think I’ll wait out for that one. In regards to this Drift helmet, it’s a good mid-range helmet, by no means, you’re not getting the quality of a $150+ top brand helmet under $100.

Fortunately, for me this is good enough, I ski carefully with moderate speed and I don’t do jumps nor flips. The helmet feels light, the padding is not as plush as they advertise but it’s plush enough to say it’s comfortable wearing.

One criticism that I’ll never know, as I did not have the chance to wear skiing, is that there is no top visor vents directing the air to the googles and thus, I don’t know if my googles would have fogged easily.

I have Dragon googles and they fit perfectly with no gaps. In fact it’s such tight fit that the helmet slightly pushed down my googles, in turn pushing down my nose. Again, this was just trying at home and don’t know if it will self balance-out out skiing.

However, a vertical adjustment will be the perfect solution (I’ll admit at this price point it’s a bit too much to ask). Wildhorn new MIPS helmet does have visor vents…another reason to wait out for their new helmet.

I hope they also add vertical adjustment to their new Highline helmet.

The sizing is correct. It has vents that you can adjust witch is very important, very warm. It looks good with the flat colors and highlights of other colors, very modern looking, the cool factor. It was conferrable to wear all day when skiing.

Design, fit, and looks are grade A+! My wife bought one right after she tried mine on.

I always have been an avid skier for over 35 years. I never thought I would need a helmet and was reluctant to buy one. I cleary understand the plus value of having one and also setting and exemple to my kids that kept asking me why I don’t wear one.

I tried many helmet (all their top product) : Smith, Oakley, Giro, POC, Atomic, Salomon I need a XL. FIT: 5/5 All of them : I needed to adjust to almost the biggest setting of the BOA. Except for the Oakley, the fit was generous.

CONFORT: 4/5 None of them was to my expectation, Goggle strap being slightly angle upward, this creates a pressure on the top of the nose and forehead while creating a gap on the cheek. (Smith being the worst in this category) Oakley helmet tends not to have this angle.

So I’m satisfied. But the strap behind the helmet interfere with the buckle of the goggle. Would be better to have 2 strap at 4 and 8 o’clock. The ear padding are not super soft (Same as Poc Helmet) this could be better like the Smith or Atomic Helmet.

GOOGLE FIT : 5/5 Perfect ! the interchange brim system is not a game changer but can help. By default the helmet is well designed to be sure there is no “Gorby” gap. WARM: 4/5 Ok. you will need a beanie when temp drop below -10C Ventilation trap works as supposed and not to hard to reach/open.

DESIGN: 4/5 Nice looking helmet Magnetic buckle works very well BOA system works. But honestly every one now have the BOA so nothing special here. A “little” mushroom head compare to others, but not that much.

Also a little heavier than competitors but nothing to complain about. Carry-on/protective bag that is included is a nice touch. I’m happy with my purchase. But nothing beats the good old tuque in terms of warmth & confort.

(But no protection. ).

Firstly, let me start by saying the shipping was exceptionally fast. At first sight, it looks more beautiful in person, much nicer than the photos. I am usually very skeptical about size measurements.

Sometimes it’s either too small and it rarely fits perfectly. This was the latter (perfect fit). I spent a lot of time looking it up at different sellers and the price for exactly the same helmet on “The Last Hunt” was the best.

The “Oakey” brand is among the best and it definitely lives up to its’ reputation. Sorry, I am a very objective but I couldn’t find any issues with this. Please note: this review is just my biased opinion I really like “Oakley”.

I tried this helmet in person in Oakley store before and the small size fits well. However the shop only had white color while I wanted black. it’s out of stock in the official Oakley online shop, hence I bought it from Altitude.

Shocked to find that the small size of black color is actually much tighter than the white color of the same model (MOD 3 MIPS) that I tried in store, even without tightening the BOA dial at all. This one fits more like the Youth size that I tried in store.

Can’t help wondering if the factory misplaced the size sticker. Such a pity since I really like the style of this model, but the small size is too tight while the medium size is too loose.

The Helmets are really nice looking, super comfortable, warm/ breathable. I wore my helmet this weekend and really enjoyed how it feels. I also like how you can take out the pads and it becomes a normal bike helmet.

The only bad part was that the shipping was through a company called GLS which really sucks at delivering. I called and had a new shipping company delivery my helmet and it went smoothly. Otherwise the product shipped out fast.

I am new to snowboarding and was looking for an affordable helmet to keep me from busting my head open on those beginner falls on the slopes (because we all know you can’t become a skilled snowboarder without taking some hard falls along the way!) With that being said, this helmet meets all my needs and then some! I typically wear large/x-large size hats so I decided to order the largest size available.

It fits me perfectly and it also keeps my ears warm as well! This helmet is VERY comfortable. The only side note that I will make is that I ordered a matte black helmet and the color actually came to be more of a charcoal grey (so just keep that in mind).

Purchase one of these helmets and save the cash you would have spent on a more expensive helmet towards other gear!.

I bought this helmet so I could enjoy snowskating and snowboarding without risking damage to my precious dome. The adjustable sizing gives a cozy fit and keeps you warmer than most winter hats. One of the cheaper options out there, too.

I’ve been skiing for 30 years and I think most gear is subjective. Helmets are no exception. What fits one person won’t be comfortable to someone else. The Quantum was a good fit for me. I have more of a rounded head.

I liked the Pret but it seems to be more for an oval head. I don’t understand the complaints about bulk. A MIPS helmet is constructed to protect from impacts at different impact angles. That will make it a bit bulkier but I don’t think the weight is an issue for me (I’m 6’1″ 190 lbs.

). I’m bald and it’s comfortable without a head liner. Although the magnetic fastener took 2-3 times to get the hang of, it is a huge upgrade and I love it. VERY easy to get on and off. I don’t understand the complaints on this feature.

To be fair, I ski 3-5 days a week. Maybe folks who ski a couple days every 5-6 weeks may not have had enough practice with it? My only complaint, and its a big one and the reason for the 3 stars – this lid is very noisy with the vents open.

For something this expensive, you’d think Smith’s research & development would be able to construct something that doesn’t have this problem. My previous helmet was a Giro, and it was very quiet with the vents open.

I wear the Quantum with Smith Mag googles and the fit is understandably good. I would recommend the helmet, but if you ski with helmet vents open more often than not, you may want to look elsewhere.

I was in a bit of gear upgrade mode this year for my whole family. I bought new helmets for my sons and paid special attention to safety, comfort and quality features. This Quantum helmet replaces a 10 year old Giro G9, that served me well, but I knew it wasn’t as comfortable as I would have liked.

The Smith Quantum was very comfortable and fit me well. I bought the Large, and my head size is about 61 CM. To be honest, I have the helmet adjusted almost to it’s largest setting but once set, it fits perfect.

I didn’t realize how uncomfortable my previous helmet had gotten to be until I wore this one. The magnetic chin strap (I think they are called Fidlocks) is pretty handy, but will probably take a few outings to get used to.

There are many vents, front and back, and all can be partially or fully opened or closed depending on the conditions. The padding is fairly comfortable and you can adjust the inner lining (attached via velcro) to provide a tiny bit more room for the volume of your head or hair for that matter.

This helmet was on the higher side of pricing, but it’s something I intend to use for the next ten years, so the extra cost will be amortized over what will likely be a thousand or more hours over that ten year period.

The safety component to the helmet that stands out is the use of a type of honeycomb structure around the full circumference of the helmet to absorb impact. Also, this helmet has a MIPS liner which after doing some research, I wanted to make sure all of us in the family had this little bit of extra protection.

I was inbetween this helmet and the Scott Symbol 2 Plus D, and I ended up going with the Smith. To be fair, I bought the Scott Symbol for both of my boys and I thought that helmet was absolutely fantastic as well.

Either one you can’t go wrong in my opinion.

I’m actually very confused. Firstly, how do none of the reviews not mention how uncomfortable this helmet is, and secondly, why on earth did Smith decide to have two rigid, cold pieces of plastic digging into the back of your head while wearing this helmet? It makes no sense.

Any time I look up they dig into the back of my neck. Maybe this helmet was better when it had the Boa system, but I’m not sure how this got beyond the drafting board. It’s pretty much the same feel as a cheap/poorly designed bike helmet.

Love the look of it though.

My son received this helmet from his dad for his birthday this year. He got it in black to go with his new bike. He really loves it. He typically doesn’t want to wear his helmet for fear of looking “uncool” in his words but this one makes him feel great! It goes really well with the style of his bike and it got really good safety standards too boot.

I love it!.

My wife really wanted to love this helmet however found it too tight around the side of the head. The slight pressure on the sides of her head due to the shape of the helmet was something that she was willing to put up with however when the colour started to fade from the top due to using the supplied carry bag we opted to make a warranty claim with Smith (essentially the orange original casting colour wears through in certain spots to produce a speckled helmet after 1-2 days of use).

After some research we found that this is something that Smith had issues with on lighter coloured Vantage helmets (my wife’s was the white colour) and we elected to go through their warranty claim process.

The Smith team were amazing to deal with and responded in less than 24 hours to the warranty claim with a credit to be used on their website for a new helmet – my wife elected to go with the Quantum helmet and it now fits perfect (same size was selected however the Quantum is known to be a rounder fitting shape on the head so fit perfectly) and it arrived in 2 days direct from Smith – definitely a positive testament to the Smith warranty process.

Overall this Vantage helmet did not work for my wife due to the size and colour fading however we were both very happy with the customer service from both Smith as well as Altitude Sports and would recommend the purchase of a Smith helmet.

In the end my wife found the right helmet and now Smith and Altitude Sports have a happy customer with a Quantum helmet. :).

Based on numerous online recommendations I decided to order this helmet. It’s really light but seems like it’ll do a good job protecting my head. However, 2 problems. Firstly, when resting goggles on the helmet, i.

e. off the face, they tend to slide up and flop off (but still held onto the back of the helmet with the strap) The best solution is to kinda keep the bottom edge of your goggles slightly over the front of the brim of the helmet.

This deforms the foam on the goggle surround. Not great but Cest le vie. Especially annoying given that my goggles are a recent Smith model. Secondly, the fit of the helmet feels a bit boxy – too short from from front to back and too wide from side to side.

Of course I’ve adjusted it as directed – but the sensation still remains. Not unduly uncomfortable but noticeable nonetheless.

I have a small head, and I have always struggled to find a helmet that fits snuggly, yet doesn’t give me headaches. They are either much too big, or too small in length (forehead to back). It is comfy! and cushy! I normally have to wear a thin headband to protect from earaches, I don’t think that will be the case with this helmet.

The vents are much easier to open and close than I expected, and I quite like the goggle clip too. No complaints so far. I paired this helmet with Smith goggles, no gaps or brainfreeze 🙂 It definitely feels and looks like a quality item! The colour was a little bit lighter than I was anticipating based on the image, but I do believe they call it “polar” which I think is fair description.

All-in-all, I’m very happy with this purchase!.

I love this helmet so far. I’m coming from a 2016 Smith Holt to a 2021 Anon Prime MIPS helmet. If you have any of the Anon goggles, I would look no further. I was looking at the smith vantage, but ended going with this helmet instead.

The biggest deciding factor was that if I was going to spend 200 bucks on a brain bucket it should at least have the latest features. The anon helmet comes with the magnetic buckle, which makes it super easy to buckle/unbuckle especially with mittens.

The Smith Vantage does not have that feature. Things I noticed when compared to my old helmet: – Much more secure fit with the BOA system (instead of just a chin strap) – Superior ventilation – Perfect fit with my Anon M2 Goggles.

This means I not longer get fogging, as the vents go directly over the goggles. – Much less bulky.

Bought a brand new ski helmet and the the buckle clip fell off on first ski trip. Contacted company many times no response. Very unprofessional company atleast give a response. Purchased m4 goggles and like 5 MFI face masks and they are not even compatible with the goggles.

The face masks work with the older version goggles. No mention of that on their website. Again contacted. No response.

Great helmet, comparable price point to other similar ones. Adjustable vents and boa tightening were all solid and felt like good quality. The overall shape though is a bit like a big round bulb on your head.

And the Sterling color is much more blue in person. It looked white in the online product photo. I wasn’t a fan of either the shape or color. I’m a 23″ circumference head. I got a large and it was definitely too big.

Prob could make it work with a beanie on underneath, but that would be too hot. Got the medium instead and it fits great.

Just like me, this helmet looks, and feels, great. Much to my great displeasure though, I have neither careened off piste into trees, nor have I lost control and been flung head-first into a pile of rocks yet, so I cannot attest to how safe it is.

My wife insisted that I start wearing a helmet recently, which greatly infuriated me, but in order to stop the incessant noise, I relented. However, In order to balance things out, I took up smoking two packs of Marlboro Red per day.

This is quite expensive, so I have made up for it by cancelling my life insurance policy, as I am now apparently immune from any form of ski-related head trauma. Pro tip: do not serve ice cream out of this helmet as it will melt and leak out the air vents which means you won’t get a true full serving of ice cream.

Nicely designed helmet. However, be sure to check the sizing. Normally I would fit into a medium for any ski or cycling helmet, but their sizing is such that I am in-between a small and medium at 55/56 cm.

Medium was too large (as it is also intended to fit large) and the helmet would move easily especially when lifting the visor, so I had to go for the small. The small on is snug for sure, not sure if it will be uncomfortable after a while a skiing.

We’ll see this ski season, if there is one.

First off, the helmet looks great! The fit is 85% satisfactory as I can adjust the size to match my head, but the visor and the foam doesn’t result in a air tight fit. To get this, I have to tilt the helmet slightly forward, what I intend to do when I go out onto the slopes next season to test the helmet.

Also, the corresponding visors aren’t sold anywhere. As much as I enjoy the helmet so far, I’d love to complete it by getting all visors, it would be great if Sun&Ski would get them in stock!!.

I like this helmet, but 12oz must be measured with it fully stripped. That’s unrealistic, so the fact that this isn’t stated is misleading. I measured the actual weight of my Small at 14. 9oz – still light, but less competitive with backcountry and other options whose listed weights include the padding.

Without earpads (which looks a lil ridic) it is still about 13oz, so the final ounce must assume taking out not just the helmet clip but also inner and chin padding, making the helmet too big/unsafe for me, not to mention uncomfortable.

Salomon doesn’t list weight on their site and and a sticker in the helmet says 400g (14. 1oz) which is at least closer, so there’s no excuse for retailers getting it this far off. Weights are a vital spec to those looking to go backcountry.

A resort-style helmet that can do both is the holy grail, but we need accurate weights to make that call without ordering and returning a bunch of helmets. Still a nice fairly lightweight helmet. Please do better on the specs.

The Allure Snow Helmet size M fits me perfectly. My head circumference is 22 inches so right in the middle of the size M range. I had been advised to buy a helmet with an adjustable wheel (at the back) at an outdoor store but the self-adjusting system combined with the chin strap adjustment on the Allure works well for me.

I ordered the Matte Champagne color which I would say it is slightly more pink than it looks in the photo in certain lighting conditions – still very lovely and neutral. The color adds a bit of warmth to my white and black ski outfit and is easier to spot on the slopes than the ubiquitous black helmet.

I love the soft and cozy ear pads! I don’t need to wear a hat or balaclava but I could fit one if needed. It will be great to be able to remove the pads on warmer days. There is also more ventilation (at the back) than appears in these photos so no need to worry about foggy goggles or getting overly warm (another important feature when looking for a helmet).

Overall, this is a lovely understated helmet with classic styling and great safety and comfort features. You won’t regret this purchase but should you need to return, it’s so convenient to be able to take it to a Nordstrom store rather than have to pay shipping charges back to an outdoor retailer.

I purchased the Smith Allure Helmet at an awesome last year model price. I must say my wife fitted very nicely with a size small. I really like a lot. They do come with an almost exact model as the Smith Allure with the MIPs system.

Apparently, the MIPs system is a fitted adjusted system where it adjust to ones head to minimize impact. My wife has not tried the one with the MIPs system yet, but they are significantly different in pricing.

But for the price that I get, I can’t complaint.

I was due to replace my helmet after some light hits and opted for the most current safety features. If you plan to wear anything thicker other than a light balaclava or beanie I would go with a larger size.

My head circumference was in the middle of the medium size recommendation and with a light beanie I only needed one or two clicks on the boa system to get the right fit. The magnetic clasp is nice an convenient, and ventilation control is great.

The ear pads are a bit thick, which muffles sound a bit, and I can’t imagine being able to hear anything if I added audio chips. The shape lines up really nicely with the Anon M3 goggles. I expected the green wavecel material to feel more fluid/ have give like silicone, but it’s actually still quite hard.

No issues with comfort though. The price is steep, but I hope I never have to truly test its claims of increased protection.

First off I love how easy it is to return products at altitude! This made it a no stress decision to order the wrong size, by accident that is. According to the sizing chart I believe medium was 57-59cm and when I measured my head it was 58cm.

Ordered a medium, well the fit was tight, even with the boa loosened fully. I must have an odd shaped head, so the easy return process at altitude made it a simple procedure to return the medium and order a large, which fits perfectly! Haven’t had a chance to try it on the mountain yet but it looks like a seamless fit with my M3 goggles, limited to no head gap.

Just got my order a couple days after I placed my order. The helmet looks amazing and fits great. This is my second helmet ever for snowboarding and I got sized correctly for a medium. Since I just got them haven’t had a chance to put them in to action but they feel very sturdy and durable.

I love the concept of this being a snowsport/cycle helmet and felt like they just didn’t finish designing it. When you pull out the liner your head sits firmly against the helmet at the sides and top.

There’s pressure on the top of my head and scratchy velcro right in the middle of my forehead. I see in the description they say the mesh in the lining is part of what provides the proper fit and feel they should have added either a lighter summer liner or basic foam pads to stick to the velcro like old cycle helmets all used to have.

I just got this in the mail and not sure yet that I’ll keep it. Could be wearable as cycle helmet with another hat underneath.

I bought this in white bc it was marked down a TON and I needed to replace my Giro helmet from four years ago since the ear flaps kept falling off. I’ve used this helmet four times so far and I love it.

It’s a huge upgrade in comparison to the Giro bc: 1) The ear flaps don’t impair my hearing, are all one piece so won’t become defective, and don’t put pressure on my ears that caused me pain with the old helmet.

2) The vents are properly placed to not shoot cold air directly at my head even when closed (My Giro helmet did this even with vents closed). 3) The chin strap doesn’t get twisted and it’s a comfortable fit with the dial adjustment.

Also, I had first tried the Smith Holt helmet that retails for the same price, but I hated it. The fit was off, the self-adjusting strap felt too tight and the ear flaps were incredibly thick. Seriously.

FYI I have no idea about other features, I just look for fit, comfort, and safety for a bargain price. So considering these aspects I highly highly recommend this. For anyone more concerned with appearance, the finish does mark easily.

I have a few minor marks already and I’m careful. For sizing, I measured my head at 57 cm and the M is great, I have it dialed in a few clicks.

I bought this helmet after 20 years of riding without one. I couldn’t be happier. This helmet fit very well and is true to size. After a season and a half of use the helmet still looks new and holds the same comfort.

The helmet can be adjusted to fit with the adjustment wheel at the rear. The fleece lining is soft and warm enough to not use a liner but I have always used a liner. My K2 goggles fit snuggly preventing air leaks.

The only downside is the padding on the strap can twist around. I would definitely purchase this helmet again.

I was riding the lift up the mountain, when a gust of wind snapped a pine tree, it fell, trunk landing directly on my head. I suffered a stable fracture in the neck (C1 cervical spine) and 3 minor compression fractures in the thoracic spine.

All this will heal on its own with a neck brace/stabilization. Had I not been wearing this helmet, at the very least I could be a quadriplegic, or at the most, dead. Don’t mess with safety on the mountain, whether you’re actually skiing, or riding the lift! You never know.

Wow, I have never owned a 200x hat before, the best I have ever had was a stetson 30x. There is no comparison!! The best thing about this hat is how good a job a man on the hat counter named Chance did on creasing it and folding the brim.

I told him over the phone how I wanted it and it came perfect as if I had been standing in front of him. I will be buying my next hat from NRS and Chance will crease it for me. Great job NRS!!.

Neo had one advantage – my goggles fit it perfectly. And that was literally the ONLY advantage. For me, this was not only a better fit for my round head, but shockingly, it was also MORE COMFORTABLE.

The wrap around strap has less back padding, but the sides don’t squeeze in on me. Ironically, the Nine C also shook less. Also while both had similar chin straps that got tight enough, and that’s clearly a head shape thing but.

I didn’t have to scrunch up the chin pad as punch on the Nice C. There IS ONE difference in design to keep in mind – THE VENT SWITCH. Honestly this is a biggie for me. The switch on the Neo was in the middle of the helmet, leaving room for on one mount for my 360 camera.

Right up front. And the vents didn’t fully open. On the Nine C the vents almost completely open in the back, and do fully open in the front. Of course, see my picture because. The big win for usse camera users is the switch IS IN THE BACK.

So the middle of the helmet, or the front-middle, and fair game for the mount (especially needed for 360 cameras)! When it all comes down to it, if you care about seem less goggles, you might want the Neo.

And I warn you that IF YOU USE AN ACTION CAMERA – This is gonna be your choice since there’s more placement control. And if you have a small, rounder head and the well-known Neo was REALLY CLOSE but not QUITE there.

I was really struggling to find the perfect helmet and had tried on so many. For folks saying the fit is wrong, each brand and style has a different shape. You really need to try them on to find the one that fits your head.

Giro helmets all fit me better than any other brand I tried — more rounded than the rest. If you have problems with pressure points on the sides of your heads, try Giro. I was getting headaches from a borrowed helmet that was pressing on my temples.

The matte spruce color is stunning. I received many compliments on my first day wearing it! The one complaint I have about this helmet, and all other Giros I’ve seen, is that the chin strap is not adjustable enough.

No idea what the designer was thinking when they decided to add a line of stitching holding the chin cushioning in place. You need to be able to slide it to the side to shorten the chin strap, which is impossible with this design.

For now, I’ve scrunched up the chin cushioning as much as possible to tighten the strap. If needed, I’ll just use a seam ripper on that line of stitching so I can slide it over and tighten more. Fits perfectly with my older Smith goggles.

Comfortable and still felt light after a full day on the mountain. Highly recommend.

If you’ve never had a hospital level concussion, you may think you should save a few bucks and buy a cheaper helmet. Please don’t. This helmet isn’t expensive because it has bells and whistles, it has GIRO’s new Spherical MIPS.

Two separate inner shells that move independently, dissipating the rotational impact and sending it into the helmet instead of your skull and neck. A huge jump in tech compared to traditional MIPS. Skip the bar for two weeks and spend the extra $100.

You really don’t want a brain injury. It only takes one fall.

Bought this a few weeks ago and have used it once on the hill so far. Fit was great and accurate for the sizing given. Colour is also great and matches what’s on website. Love the adjustability of this helmet.

Keeps my goggles secure and doesn’t fog them up. Haven’t used the audio on the hill yet, just tested at home to make sure it worked. Pretty happy with this purchase!.

As always, a great produst from K2. Fits great, comfortable, not to hot, looks about as cool as a forty year old in a helmet can look. I AM NOT MAD AT THIS HELMET! Glad I picked it up. I would do it again.

This is the first helmet I’ve ever bought/worn and it makes me wonder why I’ve never worn a helmet before. I put it on and forget about it, except when I want to stay warmer and I close off the ample venting.

It’s light, fits like a glove and I have more confidence in the trees. I researched every top-end helmet in the market and Pret stood above the rest; which is impressive because it’s a fairly new company out of Utah.

We got the black and white one for my son and to pass onto his lil sis in a few years too. His head measures 20. 5″ / ~ 52 cm and he is 3. 5 yo, we got a small. His head is in like the 80th percentile so we got to protect that amazing dome!! 😂 this helmet is solid and awesome quality.

In my comparison shopping it has the most safety features plus it is somewhat affordable.

This helmet was for my son. He had a Pret helmet as a kid, and the magnetic chin strap is a big plus. No pinched skin. He was happy to get this as a teen. Aside from that, helmet is comfortable and warm.

This helmet is so cool! I got this helmet back in December and it fit perfectly. I’m 5’8 170lbs. Super cool sleek design too. I can’t wear a beanie under it but to be honest, you don’t need one. It’s ver warm all on it’s own! Highly recommend!.

Great fit, great look, helmet is a bit bulbous in look. Mod3 and Mod5 are huge in comparison. Front vents good for airflow but bad for rain and catching snow that will melt into goggles, I’ll be blocking them up.

I bought the helmet with the expectation that it would be sent as pictured. The neck strap has white oakley written all over it and a white oakley badge on the side of the earpiece. I like my gear to be blacked out.

I’ve been skiing with Smiths top helmet (Quantum) for a few years, loved it but it just felt to heavy on my head (I felt like a bobble head doll). In comes the Pret Fury X, it has everything I’m looking for in a ski helmet and then some.

It’s so light and comfortable that I sometimes forget I’m wearing it. My only minor issue is the BOA dial being difficult to adjust the tightness while wearing gloves. The wool insulation does what wool is supposed to do, absorbs the sweat and draws it away from your head to dissipate into the air.

No clammy, stinky helmet smell. My smith 4d mag goggles syncs perfect with this helmet, with no gaps for the COLD air to penetrate. Overall this is a 5 star, high end quality helmet even with the minor BOA dial issue.

Whoah. So, I went and purchased (in store) a competitor brand skull cap, got home, put it on and BAM! I looked like Dark Helmet from spaceballs – I then attempted to put my goggles on, nope. Nada. Not happening.

After relentless reading, reviews, YouTube videos (and the occasional cat video) I decided this was the brand for me. “Simply sexy”. I measured my noggin, and landed right on L, Grande! (You’d think they would use a G for grande, but after some translation I figured it out) after a swift purchase and expedited shipping I waited.

Patiently. Excruciatingly patient. While I was at work, I got a notification my package had arrived. I quit my job, ran home and unpacked this marvel of man. The 8th wonder! (Wait, that’s a brewery in Houston) 9th wonder! And man, it’s slick.

Good fit. Not HUGE. The magnetic snap is LEGIT! The ease in which I (could be you) can unbutton the back snap, attach my goggles, and re-snap. Well thought out design! I traditionally dislike engineers.

Pret – y’all’s engineers need a raise. 10/10 would recommend.
