20 Best Ski Goggles Under 100 (2023 Updated)

While the price is certainly attractive, these goggles run extremely small. My husband wears glasses and specifically bought these goggles to fit over them. He could not get his glasses inside. As soon as I opened up the package, I knew these were not going to fit.

A bummer of a xmas present. Have to return. These will not fit over men’s glasses and larger heads/faces. I don’t know about the quality, having not been tested outside. They seem flimsy compared to expensive goggles, of course.

You get what you pay for.

I wear smallish (but not tiny) rectangular wire-framed glasses, and these goggles fit fairly well over them. (It helped to put foam cushions on the nose pieces, and to looses the straps as much as possible.

) There is a little more room inside the goggles, but any larger glasses and you’d have to carve into the foam to get a decent fit. Still, these goggles are a bargain compared to the $100+ goggles they replace – those were an even tighter fit.

Just keep in mind that even though these goggles look huge, they won’t fit large eyeglasses well.

My girls were asking for the Roca goggles, while the cost was very reasonable I first went with the Cristo model. Those were very nice and insanely affordable. I then felt bad and got them the Rocas with some lenses.

I have to say the concept of switching lenses is awesome. I’ve been skiing my whole life and I always wanted a reflective lens but when I was younger I bought what I could afford. The reflective lenses back in the day were insanely expensive.

Now I have 4 pairs of goggles and 2 extra lenses I can swap out for the less than the price of 1 pair of reflective goggles back in the day. Thanks for realizing the issue with the price of goggles.

I’d say with these you get what you pay for. While they may not closely compare to smith’s I/O’s it’s at a fraction of the price. I have the Roca’s. I’m definitely hard on things and they have held up really well.

I pulled off just a little bit of foam maybe the size of a dime on the top part of the frame to let them breathe a little better. They hardly fog up now. Just ordered my wife a pair and an extra lens for mine.

Love how easy lens exchanging is. Solid and easy. Will continue to buy this product. Maybe not for you if you get really hot and sweaty skiing/boarding. For the price it was worth a try for me.

4 stars because I haven’t tested the product on the mountain yet. Otherwise seems like a high quality set of goggles at a reasonable price. The interchangeable lens locks are easy to use and feel very secure.

Difficult to find replacement lenses on eco but Smith is still offering replacements which is nice. The carrying case and lens sleeves that came with the product were a nice touch. Again, haven’t tested the product so I can’t speak to how well it works but my only concern is if the snapping mechanism in the back will fail over time.

This is not one continuous elastic band it has a plastic snap in the back. Hopefully not an issue.

Waited until I had some time to use these thoroughly. Just got back from a week of resort and backcountry skiing in northern New England, and these performed very well. Did several lense changes without issue (sometimes have to use thumb to force the latch to click in place, would be nice if was a little more “smooth”).

Minimal to no fogging. Nice wide, long strap fits over my XL helmet well. No visual distortion from the Orange Blaze or Clear lenses (except the Orange does distort flesh color – makes everyone look pasty white / grey – not a big deal unless you’re ski patrol I guess).

Overall very nice goggles.

The picture is a bit misleading. Vermilion (sometimes spelled vermillion) is both a brilliant red or scarlet pigment, originally made from the powdered mineral cinnabar, and the corresponding color. The picture makes them appear gold, but they are not.

You cannot use these for driving, if you had wanted to. I bought them to pair with my COVID-19 mask, since they are saying covering your eyes is recommended. They are immensely comfortable and fit nicely over my glasses and they do not keep me from seeing in the low light of Home Depot where I recently wore them.

I will start this review by saying three things, I have a bigger than normal head, i wear glasses and these are the first pair of goggles I bought. For the price I could not have been happier. These held up really well in extreme conditions -40c and I had no major problems.

I found these to be a tad tight for my face at times and while there wasn`t a major annoyance i could sort of feel my glasses wearing these. Likewise when I took these off, often my glasses would fall.

That being said you can try these on in store so you can know right away if they will fit before you buy them. I believe the next decent pair of goggles was around $60-75 which I didn`t want to spend as I don`t use these`that often.

Bottom line: Buy these if you have a small face or only need these for a short duration of time. If I were to wear these daily, or more often I would of spent more money. For the price I paid I`m extremely satisfied.

Consider buying a neoprene mask as well to ensure a “no fog“.

I use these goggles for MTB and in the winter for daily cycling commute. They are comfortable and breathable. I wear them with a Giro nine ten helmet. I got the yellow tint version. I find the tint smears around a bit, and your peripheral vision will be limited.

for the price, you won’t find anything better, I don’t think. If there’s one request i’d like to make for next years model, is to make the “bolle” wording on the strap a lower profile colour, like dark grey or something.

I find the white lettering stands out too much.

I’m picky with my goggles. In spite of the large outward appearance these fit really well and look sharp if this is the style of goggles you are into. Even though they are designed to have minimal frame obstruction, I still find my old Oakley Flight Deck goggles have better overall visibility, That being said I wouldn’t say these are inferior at all.

Just a different goggle design altogether. So far I would say that the Jade lens is great for most conditions but I found it lacking in flat light, maybe thats just my eyes. One lens can’t do everything so I may just buy a flat light lens to swap out for those days.

Overall, quite happy with these.

Keep fogging up. I’ve tried everything and they won’t stop. Basically can’t use them. Also, got scratched on the first day of use. I had a pair of spy goggles for almost 15 years that never fogged or scratch.

Not sure if these are defective or just poorly made, but since Evo won’t allow returns for used equipment, I guess that I’m stuck with these. I will say the amber tint is great for low visibility days.

when they aren’t completely fogged up.

Very high quality goggle, fits my face really well and looks good. The lenses are super easy to swap out and appear to be very high quality too. Only two minor complaints – one, there is a gap between the top of my Sweet Protection helmet and the goggle.

It is small but nonetheless a little annoying. This is not a fault of the google but I do wish there was some standard shape between goggles and helmets so that this was not a recurring issue between manufacturers.

Second, the goggle was packaged in such a way that the strap had folded the foam around the goggle, deforming it. Over time, it looks like it is slowly returning to normal shape.

These goggles are excellent. They fit well with both of my helmets and the magnetic lens swapping system is easy, I can swap lenses easily on the chairlift. The black lens works excellent on sunny spring days, which is what I got them for.

The extra lens works well as a low light lens but not quite as good as a yellow pair that I use on grey days. If you’re planning on storm riding these goggles consider buying a light or clear lens. I went for the black on black pair and I really appreciate the subtle touches like the patch or the pattern on the inside part of the strap.

The top of the goggles has a high quality material for venting that it’s typically foam which is a nice touch as well. Field of view with these goggles is also excellent, I’ve noticed that several goggle manufactures have made this improvement so this is not unique to this pair, but it’s worthy of noting.

I am wearing a large Bern helmet with Mips and have a pretty large face/helmet. If you have a smaller helmet you may find that these are too large. I encourage you to test with your helmet before ripping the tags off.

I am so happy with this product that i purchased another one as a gift for a petite woman. Wonderful Prism Rose googles to cut thru the fog and to give some Great Defination. How did we ever ski without Prism lens-just a touch smaller!!.

Got these for my 9 year old daughter and they fit perfect. She loves them and even where’s them while she’s just chillin. Lol

Great fit for my 9 almost 10 year old daughter. Prizm Rose lens works well for Pac NW low light.

I was recently in the market for a new pair of goggles since the only pair I had were clear Smith goggles. I saw this and it looked cool and it was not super expensive. I got the green and blue tint goggles which look really clean.

They do a great job blocking out the sun, while not being too dark when looking around. Tint-wise, unless you are really close to someone and it is bright, you can see the person’s eyes. Other than that, they look like they are mirrored.

They are durable, and the elastic on the band that goes around your helmet keeps it from slipping, which was a problem with my old goggles. The green and blue lense are best for all-around skiing, while the red and yellow tint are more meant for bluebird days.

Only get one of these types of goggles if you already have some goggles for flat light or night skiing. They check all the boxes and I highly recommend them.

The “turbo” version of these originally came with a fan. The latest one has no fan, but the fan mounts are still molded into the frame. So I take the fan out of a disintegrated old pair and mount it into a new pair.

Viola – fan goggles again. But getting new lenses without the view blocking foam covered shutter vents is difficult. Smith removing the fan and now the goofy lens version will terminate this OTG from the marketplace.

These goggles fit pretty well over my prescription glasses once I get them adjusted. My eyeglass frames are on the wide side, too. Slight pinching of the nose. The lens the goggles came with is relatively dark, but Smith sells replacement lenses with different light transmission—a little pricey but worth it for low-light days.

Very little fogging.

These are great basic goggles with modern features and a reasonable price point. The optics are really good with the spherical ChromaPop lens and rimless design. At max length, the strap just fit over my XL helmet, and the rubber backing is really nice to keep them securely placed on the helmet.

One thing to note: if you’re going for the tall tee bro look, the clip on the back will make it pretty uncomfortable to wear these with the strap under your helmet. Additionally, the shape of the goggles fits well with my Smith Maze helmet.

They also fit my face well. I’m white with a large head and average size face, and I’d consider them to be medium size. Right in the sweet spot to give good visibility without being ostentatious. I did experience some minor fog on a hot day when standing still, but I found these to have exceptional venting which quickly cut fog once I got moving.

The only downside is that they don’t include any of the really fancy quick change lens features, but I find that a fair trade off for the price.

These goggles were great! I used their low light lens when the clouds started coming in and it changed my day. I was able to have the visibility I needed to feel comfortable riding at higher speeds with no worries.

They fit great on my face and were super comfortable to wear all day. I would definitely recommend these goggles too anyone who wants goggles for all conditions, the magnetic lens with a locking system made it really easy to swap when the lighting changed.

I can’t comment on the quality of the glasses because I was unable to wear them – wish I could, because they look very cool. Neither myself nor my partner could wear these over our glasses (we have four pairs between the two of us).

I”m an average sized woman with average sized glasses, so I”m not sure who can wear these with glasses other than youth. The rigid frame doesn’t allow for any wiggle room, either. Very disappointing, and I’ll be returning them tomorrow.

First year on a pair of Spy goggles and I was very impressed. The lens options are great, changing the lens takes meer seconds too. Fits well with my Giro Terra MIPS helmet. Great pair of goggles!

Bought these because I have developing cataracts & was having difficulty reading the snow due to glare flare. Moved up from standard goggles. Took my midwest skills to Big Sky and tested them for 3 days; got a full range of light.

They worked extremely well; both in reading the snow and enjoying the mountains. Light adjustment in partly cloudy conditions was barely noticeable and not annoying. Comfortable. Well worth the money as survival gear.

The fog got in between the double layers of the lens. I wish it could have worked as promised because here on the slopes I am now stuck without decent goggles. I am not sure if that’s a design flaw or the flaw is with the lens.

Good material

These goggles felt Like the cheapest Barbie plastic. One of the L letters was botched. I’m not sure where these are made but it would seem like they were made in a backyard of sorts. The foam and the strap material were literally garbage found in the dumpster of party city.

The construction of these goggles was that of a 5th grade art project. I would never in a million years buy from this brand again. I thought I got a pair of knock offs in the mail when I opened them.

They looked so bad. Worse than garbage. For $150 US I about **** myself when I saw these goggles. The first thing my dad asked me was “omg are those knock offs!?” I was appalled. Do not buy these, they are also oversized.

I looked like I had to heads when I tried them on. They are not sized correctly and look like a bug when they are on.

I didn’t use Vallon Freebirds much yet (because I’ve bought it at the very end of the season), so I can’t tell much abut googles in action. But overall the item looks great, matches various helmets (I’v tried SH+, Caim and Wedze) lenses are very good (I have both standard and orange).

The frame size was as described face fit with large view angle. Service at online vallon. store was excellent as well. In my opinion, only 2 things may be improved: firstly, the googles’ frame is stiff and may feel less comfortable in comparison with some piers, secondly, spare lenses change is not very easy.

Awesome Googles! Perfect for Birdbird days but probably should have invested in the other lens colour too. They were a great fit for me but I think anyone with a larger head / helmet might struggle to fit them on their helmet.

Used this for a few ski trips now. I’ve been struggling with fogging this season and the extra lens venting on the Challenger does help, beside just looking cool. If you want to avoid fog, make sure your lens are completely sealed (no gaps around the nose or face) and don’t tuck your mask under your goggles.

I’ve already had one person ask my about my Glade goggles on the lift. I’ve used goggles from three major brands now and Glade performs just as well if not better than them. My only feature request is that Glade add some contrast enhancer tech to their already good optics.

Something that would help make bumps and moguls in the snow show up even more.

The reviews I read in Outside Magazine had me intrigued. I wanted to try frameless goggles to see if I could get better peripheral and lower vision. And I got exactly what I wanted with the Challenger goggles.

They fit great against my helmet too. Started out a bit heavy on my nose but that eased up as the day went on. Very, very happy with the purchase. Highly recommend them!.

I have had various kinds of Oakley goggles from Canopy to Flight Decks. Wanted to try the new premier design. Overall I like the aesthetics and Oakley lenses are top notch, but the lens change system on the Flight Path is sub par.

Middle tab on top of goggles is nearly impossible to push in. The piece of plastic that is supposed to snap into the frame is too big for the hole it’s supposed to fit into. The plastic piece is glued on and the whole piece moves when applying pressure to snap in lens.

Not something I would want to deal with when getting ready for a fun day on the mountain.

I’m new to snowboarding but Electric was at the top of my boyfriend’s recommendations for goggles and they did not disappoint! Shipped fast and got a second pair of lenses for 50% off. I love how I can see out of even the corner of the goggles.

The goggles are a perfect fit, the foam in super comfortable on my face and the lens are nice and wide and provide a lot of sight. The goggles are super nice quality and they look amazing. 10/10 buy, I recommend these goggles to everybody looking for a new pair.

I ordered them thinking they a bit to big having a smaller head but it fits great and the picture is exactly what I got. Marcus is one of favorite riders and being able to ride with what he has on in videos is awesome.

The lenses are also really cool!.
