From my first attempt, I’d say it’s a great rubber. That said, I’ve been a design engineer all my life. The part I don’t like are not really in the material, it is more with the reselling of this product.
I sorely miss material properties, and an MSDS sheet. Due to the second part, this material WOULD NOT be allowed at work. Saying it is non-toxic doesn’t cut it. What if I splash some in my eye, or a toddle accidentally ingests it, what steps do I take? Without product properties or an MSDS, I was wary of buying this product.
1) how soft is the rubber? my guess is around 40 Shore A. Even a person not familiar with the scale could still look at illustrated Shore scale with their examples and judge it it is too hard or soft.
2) what is the viscosity, (Obviously, this is NOT a brush on rubber. ) 3) what is the tear strength, and/or elongation at break. 4) What is the pot life. Reading that bubble are gone in 2 hours, I would guess that 2 hours is the pot life since bubbles will not come out once the rubber has gelled (I guessed at 40-50 minutes at 70 degrees).

I used this to make some dice molds to make resin dice. I used the same brand of resin (Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast) and the molds came out well but the resin never fully cured in the molds and would remain slightly tacky no matter how long it was left to cure.
I know the problem was the silicone molds and not an improper mixture because the same mix in a different mold would cure perfectly fine. While I understand that some silicones just don’t like some resins, I feel like using the same brand of silicone and resin SHOULD would out fine.
I have no idea what happened. First it didn’t turn pink at all which surprised me because most examples show it turning pink at some point in the process. I measured it by weight on a scale at the ratio listed on the directions.
But the smell is horrible. It smells like skunk spray. Maybe I got a bad batch? I only purchased this 2 weeks ago. I put up with the smell while trying to mold some geode crystal pieces but the smell was so bad even after curing that I gave up.
I have bought this product before, and it’s always very frustrating to figure out a vessel to put your item in to get the mold out. Make sure you plan accordingly! I put a relatively small toy (4” x 1”) in a tight plastic container with about 1/4 inch extra around the toy, and I still needed THREE of these molding rubber kits.
It cost over $70 with tax for this mold in the end! Then, when I took the toy out it had bubbles and I couldn’t get the toy’s arm out, so I ended up just cutting it out and throwing the mold in the trash.
I give it two stars, because in other instances this product has worked for me on simple shapes.

If I had my way, I’d give this stuff a 5, but that’s not possible. Started getting back into modeling in late 2016 after 15 years, but this time going for 1/35th scale zombie/apocalypse dioramas. Since I wasn’t sure if I’d stayed interested in modeling, wasn’t about to buy even one kit.
Instead, pulled out Italeri’s tow Humvee that I had built 20+ years ago and went to take it apart to add detail to the kit that wasn’t there to begin with. This is when I broke one of the wheels off which was actually a good thing because I think there’s only ONE kit that actually gives you a spare tire.
I’ve used Micro Marks 2 part silicone before and it’s great stuff, but a bit expensive, so decided to try Smooth On. THE biggest problem with Smooth On’s product is there is NO best use by date on either bottle or on the box.
Instead, it says limited shelf life, something I hadn’t thought of when I bought it originally. After using some of it to make a mold of the Humvee wheel, it sat on my shelf in the house for about 2-3 months.
When I went to use it again, it had solidified?! It’s still a good bargain price wise, but now I only order it when I’m going to make a lot of molds. Do I recommend it? Yes, but only if you plan on using all of it within a month or so.
As for Micro Mark’s stuff, it’s good for (I think) at least 2 years and does give you a best use by date on both bottles.
We’re making molds to cast resin dolls, ornamental boxes and jewelry pieces with. Smooth-On Oomoo 30 Silicone Rubber is easy to use, doesn’t smell or require lots of ventilation, sets well and it’s perfect for our needs.
It’s sensitive enough to hold fine details, and soft enough to remove parts easily after molded. This was our second time purchasing, and we’ll definitely be buying it again.
This product does a fine detail copy of whatever you are trying to make. I guess it take a few tries to get it right, but once you learn how to use it, the possibilities are limitless. There will be times when the mold may rip, but a scalpel may be your friend when removing the mold from original.
If you are trying to make a mold from clay. toss that Idea. This is way better and finer detailed. The resin is removed easy from the rubber mold where as removing resin from a clay mold is a mess and time consuming.
The only downside is having to wait 6 hrs for cure time for this product. Other than that, I think it is pretty good value and it does the job.

By far the best silicone mold products I have used. Easy 1 to 1 mix, although micro bubbles are an issue, I find that the less turbulence, in your mixing technique creates less bubbles. I coat each model by brush first before pouring in mixture.
I get great long lasting molds. The never seem to break down. Love this product.
Stumbled apone Specialty Resin while search for an affordable resin manufacturer. I model HO scale steel mill production. Always needing to reproduce parts in plenty. Specialty Resin makes that affordable.
It is easy to use, has very little smell and is great for making my small hobby parts without losing much fine detail. I don’t have a degasser, so there are tiny bubbles in the end product but it doesn’t seem to be a big problem.

Purchased for polymer clay 3D piece making. No dusting needed, very soft to the touch and doesn’t stick (which is a huge plus!). The shapes and sizes are a good variety. Works well paired with the bezel mold, to create bezels and shapes to go into them.
Can mix and match. I like that. The only complaint that I have with this mold is that it’s a bit stiff. I find that it’s a bit more effort to pop the clay out from the mold, without distortion. If the mold were just a tad bit less stiff, it would be 100% 5 stars all the way.
Holds up great over time, no discoloring etc. Definitely would recommend.

I am not really into doing jewelry. I got these for a class I was giving on pouring resin and some of the ladies were interested in the jewelry aspect. I have used them all and they come out easily. I used epoxy resin and there is a bit of shrinkage that I think might not happen with a quicker curing resin.
I mostly work with wood and resin. Since I only did one pour with them I do not know if they last or not but they are worth the price.
These worked great!! My daughter used these very molds to make jewelry which she entered into her school BETA competition and won first in the state! Yay!! Couldn’t have done it without these lil molds.

The item at the end did work good but there is not much instructions. It also took several hours more to cure than what was instructed so I unmolded half way then had to carefully put it back to let it cure more.
I am glad it still turned out ok but it is tricky as you cannot tell if it is fully cured by just looking at it. Once its cured, it did work great for my candle making project.
