I use this product in the engine compartment of an aircraft to lubricate a butterfly vale fitting in the heated air for the cockpit compartment. It is heat exchanged air from the muffler and very hot, hence the need for a lubricant that can withstand high temps.

I am sorry to report that the container arrived with the screw-on top loose/unscrewed and about 1/4 of the oil was out of it’s container and had leaked into the plastic holding bag. The bag itself had also been penetrated and the leaking oil had spread throughout the shipping box.

So, L&M, you need to have your shipping department do a little more diligence in their packaging service, especially since the shipping cost more than the oil itself did.

Purchased this to spray my slides on my travel trailer. The service department specially mentioned this spray for the slides. Jb tools was the cheapest place I could find it even after shipping was half of what Amazon was charging.

3M’s dry silicone spray is great for your car’s slow power windows. Normally, it would be five stars, but the straw is awful, and that is a big problem! Unfortunately, the straw doesn’t quite stay on the can, and even when it is connected, it still sprays around the straw! Yes, it sprays inside the straw too, but it shouldn’t spray around it.

Since this makes the straw slippery, you can’t tape it back on to the can. And sometimes when you spray, the straw spontaneously pops off! You’ll be spraying a few seconds when the straw just randomly decides to go flying.

Yes, this horrible straw is bad enough to lower an otherwise 5-star product down to three stars. But if you don;t use it in a way where that straw is required, by all means the dry silicone is fantastic and 5-star worthy.

Stays wet. If you want a product that is a silicone spray and dries, this is not the product for you. And it is a lot more pricier than your average silicone spray. Home Depot has some good sprays that you will be happy with.

I use this on my treadmill belt when it gets stiff – I put an old sock on my hand, spray it for a couple of seconds with the Permatex, and swipe it under the belt for a ‘smoother ride’. It’s a self-propelled Jane Fonda treadmill.

I also plan to use it on the movable parts of my garage door opener.

Awesome product. Sprays evenly and saturation is very good. Sticks well so I don’t have to reapply. Had squeaky car door hinges and wd40. Would quiet them but in 2 weeks or less would have to reapply.

This silicone has been keeping them quiet for over 6 weeks now. Very pleased.

WD-40 Specialist High Performance Silicone Spray 400ml I have worked on vehicles both professionally and personally for approximately 33 years, I also worked in mechanical machining and engineering for 12 years.

I decided to purchase the WD-40 Silicone spray after a few hours spent online researching the product and viewing others reviews. Every grease and spray lubricant is designed for a specific purpose, it is in most applications essential to apply the correct type of lubricant in relation to the role and purpose of the component it is being applied and used on.

In addition, it is also essential to ensure that no other component used in the parts construction will be damaged by the addition of the grease or lubricant. Can you use another alternative lubricant or grease type that it is not intended for? Yes, in some applications this is possible, however i would pose this question, olive oil, lard, suet, butter, and margarine are also greases so would any sane person pack a wheel bearing or lubricate a component with these! Using an incorrect grease or lubricant can either cause immediate damage, or over a longer period of time cause rapid and significant wear of the part to occur.

(Example) Using copper grease on caliper guide pin bolts! I have seen dozens of user posts made on vehicle repair forums where people recommend or suggest using copper grease for this application, and truth be told used this myself for this exact application.

The end result, it worked; however in the process it caused severe wear to the guide pin bores and guide pins, I discovered many many years later my mistake, use a pure silicone grease only. One of the additional spray lubricants i have purchased for use is, WD-40 Specialist High Performance PTFE spray 400ml.

Technically WD-40 Silicone spray should be the correct grease type for the brake guide pins application then. NO, the WD40 silicone spray lubricant contains other oils and chemicals in addition to the silicone component, this applies to all spray lubricants, in addition it is a spray oils lubricant, and not a grease.

It will destroy the butyl rubber gasket seal on the guide pins and possibly the caliper piston seal if it contaminates it, this applies to all spray oils and greases. In this instance, for clarification purposes I first read the data sheet available for the silicone spray on WD-40’s domain website, apparently the effect on other substrates and materials has yet to be clarified! Then i tested the WD-40 silicone spray on an old calipers guide pins and pistons rubber seals, the end result was that the seals swelled and expanded making them loose fitting and ultimately useless in sealing their intended components.

Does this mean that you should stay away from this or any other spray lubricant or grease? No, as mentioned at the beginning these lubricants are designed for specific application, just ensure you do not accidentally contaminate another non compatible plastic or rubber.

Use the correct tool for the job, and if in any doubt test and or read the sprays technical documentation. So how does the WD-40 Specialist High Performance Silicone spray perform. Unfortunately i have yet to use this spray on an application, however I have used the WD-40 PTFE, and also the standard WD-40 anti seize spray many times over the years with excellent results.

The standard WD-40 lubricant has always performed superbly on difficult to remove and stubborn nuts screws and bolts, as well as other applications. Their is no reason to believe that the WD-40 Silicone spray will not perform as well.

The spray will apply just as precisely and easily using the available built in straw, and also provide even and good coverage if using the built in wide angle nozzle option. I tested the silicone spray and it dries to a tack free finish, which will help significantly in preventing clogging and sticking issues, as well as repelling excess dirt and dust contamination.

It will last a very long time, as their is sufficient quantity in the can for many applications to be applied. This is my secret tool! It lubes all surfaces that would tend to squeak; rubber on rubber, metal on metal, plastic on plastic, PVC ON PVC–best of all, any combination of these materials. I’ve solved hundreds of problems in the house and in the garage.

From a notoriously squeaky daybed, to a 20-year old Broan bath fan which could barely turn until now a very discreet speedy gonzalez. In the kitchen, our prize Compresso machine which makes great ‘Cajun coffee.

Very tired. now races like the wind to finish up our foamy coffee. In the garage an antique Jeep pickup with tired bones. Couple cans of CRC loosened up bushings.

Very good product cause it stays in the place you spray the lubricant on. It does not flow away from the area you spray it on, therefore it serves the purpose of lubricating your metal which is to protect the metal part from rusting and eventually breaking down.

We have not used this delivery yet. The last time we used a small packet of the lubricant , approximately a month ago it worked just fine. We decided to resupply our stock and that is why we ordered the tube.

Very good grease for sealing and lubricating the threads on water filter housings. I have used it for a long time and works fine. It is on the expensive side but worth the money.

I was using the wrong lubricant . The staff educated me well on using the proper seal lubricant.

Don’t bother. This product uses the annoying red straw, like the old WD 40 cans, which is sure to get lost. And the red straw for this can was too wide and DID NOT FIT, try as I might it would not stay in the nozzle hole.

So early on it just fell out into some leaves below the window I was working on. It took two of us to find it. I tried spraying without the red straw but then the spray got on the can, it got very slippery, of course, and I kept dropping the thing! Later, in trying to insert the red straw to make it stay put.

I broke off the top and now the can simply does not work, or it is empty after very little use. Walmart wants me to bring the thing in for a refund but with COVID I don’t go into any store yet. And to dispose of this I probably need to go to our city’s hazardous waste site.

The best spray lubricant on the market. Works very well on patio sliding glass door tracks. If your door is beginning to be a challenge to slide open then give this a try. You will be amazed.

The Dupont Teflon Lubricant was used on the deck of a lawn mower, It worked well preventing the grass from sticking to the lawn mower deck during the first 30 minutes. The product did not continue to provide the repellent and the grass began to stick.

The B’laster 11 oz Silicone Lubricant was perfect to cover all the gaskets on 3 vehicles. It does not harm paint and easily wipes clean on glass. It softens the rubber and protects it from the effects of weather.

I’ve been using it for years and I have been very pleased with it even still to this day. I have been able to get by with the standard lube for years, until recently, I came across a mower the need some silicone lubricant.

Considering the success of PB Blaster, I decided to go back to that brand when it came to needing a silicone lube. I recently acquired a lawn mower that needed a silicone lube to lubricant the handle actuation of the plastic pieces, that control the self propel drive.

Since you can’t use petroleum based lubes on plastic and rubbers, because it will eat through them, I have to use silicone. I followed the directions as according to the mower manual, and I applied a good amount of this stuff on both side of the inner and outer tube pieces, on the handle assembly.

Immediately I could feel the results of the lube, because the handle moved more freely and smoothly. However, just like with the standard lube, I can definitely sense an odor from this product. I have a feeling that this product is toxic as well, but I don’t think its as toxic as the standard lube.

Just best to use this in a well ventilated area and you will be fine. I just discovered that PB Blaster makes a PRO-Grade of all purpose lubricant, I think I am going to try that out and see if its any better then the standard all purpose lube that has been around for many years.

Anyways, I give the silicone lube a solid 5 out of 5.

Originally I just use it on the rubber, plastic, and vinyl around the car and house. It’s fantastic to preserve all the rubber gaskets on the dishwashing machine. After spraying it on the chrome sink fittings when installing new washers I was amazed at how it cleans and shines.

It’s just a great protection for my fishing equipment and other sporting goods. 🙂 Just keep it off your electric the contactsAnd knock yourself out on everything else. Believe me, if you like like maintaining what you have can’t go wrong with the Blaster Brand of industrial-strength silicone lubricant!.

I have had to return other brands because they are NOT real silicone spray. They are some kind of oil hybrid. Oil damages rubber and does not completely dry and attracts dirt! CRC is the REAL DEAL BEST.

I’ve thoroughly cleaned(soak belts in ammonia water or use a steamvac upholstery home machine on them) several older car’s seat belts and dried and then sprayed the belts with this and then they work like magic! Expect to use 2 cans for an entire vehicle.

Well work it for that 100K mile go through. Also spray on door rubber trim and window tracks felt rubber. Be sure to immediately simply one wipe with a dry cloth, any excess of painted surfaces to avoid paint stains.

I needed to replace my pool filter’s backwash slide valve because the guy I hired to clean my D. E. filter elements broke it without telling me. It has always been a little sticky to move the first time in a while, but this guy must not have had the time to be careful.

Pulling the broken valve out was a little difficult as I suspected; I used needle-nosed locking pliers to grip the shaft in the valve body, then regular locking pliers to grip those to gently wiggle it out.

To lube the new valve body before going back in, I use the usual pool lubes and they work ok, getting stiff and sticky again pretty quick. THIS STUFF, however, restored the valve’s easy, smooth movement to how it was when we put the pool in.

We’ll see how long it stays that way, but it definitely made a significant difference from the standard pool lubes. This one does say it’s for moving parts and maybe that’s the difference.

I was looking for a lubricant for the Chlorine dispenser in my in ground pool filter system. The chlorine dispenser has a rubber gasket that is very difficult to install dry. This lubricant worked well so that I did not have to pound the inner cap into the chlorine container after loading chlorine into it.

This is the first lubricant that I have found to lubricate the gasket for ease in loading chlorine tablets into the chlorine dispenser.

Seems to work okay upon installation but 6 weeks later it thickened and dried on the filter casket and looses it’s lube qualities. I would expect it to last longer. I’ll search for a better product that lasts longer.

After a loooong winter, decided to give this product a try on the doors in my garage: the main garage door (which is 16 feet wide) and the side “man” door. Wiped the hinges on the doors and other moving parts (tracks, wheels, etc.

) to get rid of the dust and grime that had accumulated over the winter. After a quick spray, tried opening and closing the doors several times and things were definitely running quieter and smoother with no messy drips! The only reason I didn’t give this product the full 5 stars is the flimsy straw that is provided to be used to pinpoint the spray and often disconnects when used.

The original WD-40 was introduced in 1953 (though it probably didn’t have the straw then) so you’d think they’d improve this accessory after almost 70 years! Maybe a screw-on straw like the one used with expanding foam insulation? Overall though, a fine product.

Silicone spray has a variety of uses. If it sticks, a little spray goes a long way. Excellent on window tracks, door latches, hinges, etc. Safe for plastic, rubber and vinyl. Also helps to clean many surfaces and leaves a non-staining rust preventing film for protection.

I use it on my model trains for initial cleaning before applying the appropriate lube. The built-in applicator tube puts it right where you aim it. Highly recommend keeping a can handy.

Great product to have around the house/work/job site. This beats plain old wd40 in terms of lasting treatment and easier to work with. This stuff really does spray nicely and doesn’t have such a bad smell as other.

I was happy with the fact that it dries quickly and doesn’t leave as much oily discharge. Having used this stuff in the past I can say that it gets rid of squeaks and lubricates very well and lasts a long time.

Was recommended this product on a car forum for curing creaks and squeaks. Had tried other lubes in the past but to no avail. Used this on all the moving parts (theres a lot in an SLK) and have been amazed at the results.

Bought this after seeing the excellent reviews. The smart nozzle was the main reason I bought this one rather than the cheaper alternatives. Brought it back home and got ready to use it. As I pulled the nozzle up, it went wonky and that was it! No excessive force used although it wasn’t obvious how far up to pull it but at no time did I force it.

When I looked carefully at the smart nozzle I coul see how flimsily it was made – the little plastic pins inside had bent – not surprising given how small, soft and bendy they are. Fortunately I could still use it with just the straw.

I would advise being very gentle if you buy one.

I was looking for a quality spray “White” grease to lubricate the Steering Column on my Nissan Note car. (there was persistant “knock” when turning at slow speed on full lock). This WD40 Lithium White spray grease proved to be just right for the job.

It adhered to the steering column splines and instantly cured the problem. (just remember to shake the can vigorously before use). The ajustable and folding nozzle was very handy – to enable one reach into restricted spaces on a car.

I can thoroughly recommend WD40 White Litthium Spray grease from screwfix. The price was great, and the service provided by Screwfix was excellent. Ordering on-line was easy and their “click & collect” service was quick and easy to use.

Go to the Super Lube website and the product description and technical specs are impressive. I use this product in the garage and around the house as a replacement for Aerospace Lubricants Inc. TRIBOLUBE brand “Synthetic Spray Grease”, and LUBRIPLATE brand “Spray Lube A white lithium grease”.

Both of which are excellent products but cost more. The best uses I have found so far for the Super Lube brand “Multi-Purpose Synthetic Lubricant (part no. 31110)” aerosol spray grease are to lubricate the distributor cam for points ignition in older cars and bikes, and to lubricate the ignition advance weights and springs behind the points plate in the Harley Shovelhead motorcycles.

And of course just about anything else with moving parts. I also have found it great for lubing windshield wiper motor worm drives, VW steering box gears, wheel bearings, accelerator and choke cable internal lube, freeing up stubborn and sticky lock sets, tool box drawer slides, etc.

I have been using Super Lube for years. The product never lets me down. Great Lubricant for tools and other DIY applications such as locks and lawn equipment.

I use this for a few things. It is sort of the consistency and look of a thin STP(automotive oil additive). I use it on external lathe gears and rack and pinion gears on a plasma table. It sticks, doesn’t fly off and and also repels dirt pretty well.

I use other products for penetrant uses.

This brand of silicone is the only one we use in are automotive shop, dont leave any residue works great on automotive electrical plugs. and the price here at JP Tools is great. Would recommend this brand for anyone working with automotive.
