This is a cute book to have knocking around. Good coffee table or bathroom book. I purchased this as a gift for a teen who is developing an interest in astrology; and she enjoyed it.

Great read! I totally recommend this if you enjoy astrology. I bought one for myself and also purchased another for my daughter who is a Capricorn and both books were spot on our personalities.

These matches really do strike instantaneously with a half-inch scratch. I have been using other matches that require a two inch scratch and, even then, may not light so that the scratch surface in worn out long before the box of matches is empty.

Like a lot of folks in Montana, i use a wood burning stove & Propane for heat & cooking. I’ve been using these for the last 9 years. 2 boxes in the cabin, one for the kitchen, one by the Wood stove. Why spend more for something that runs out of fluid, COSTS more? Heck, I leave a spent one on the stove to relight other cranky burners!.

We had a power outage, I have a one burner propane stove, needs matches to light. Lucky had just enough, found this deal so no problem next time.

I can’t believe I’m writing a review of matches, but here we are. These are truly horrible. Each match is fragile – they open snap when striking the side of the box. They also are surprisingly difficult to light! These are MATCHES.

This shouldn’t be hard. Beyond that, these things burn for perhaps 3 seconds before the flame engulfs the rest of the matchstick. So, if you don’t light in time. you either burn your fingers or use another match.

Super wasteful. Anyway, these are dumb. Don’t buy them.

I love that these matches are made from FSC wood that has been sustainably harvested. They function similarly to the standard box of safety kitchen matches that I was replacing. The environmentally friendly wood source made me decide to try this brand.

The matches have a green tip that is fun for a change, but otherwise look like a standard wood match. They light easily when struck against the side of the box, but will not ignite against other matches when in the box.

They create a small puff of smoke when ignited which I don’t remember seeing with other matches, but it is not enough to signal my very sensitive smoke detector. So far, only one match in the box was a dud and self extinguished after burning for a short period of time.

The others have burnt slowly and strong. I recommend these matches.

I like these matches and over all they strike pretty easily. I have noticed that the match sticks are pretty easy to break so I have to use more than one to get a fire started. You can strike the match stick right on the box and the striking plates, which are on both sides of the box, do not wear out and are still useful even after you have used all your matches.

The match sticks are kind of short so they may not be the best solution for all your needs. But I keep these on hand for starting fires in the fire pit, burning papers, or lighting candles. This is a good brand and one I will continue to use.

well they light but not like the original Diamond matches I bought before they changed the thickness of the match and the quality. it burns too fast and you have to be quick before the stick burns down.

I consider this dangerous for some. Cheap and you can tell by the 97 cent price. i am requesting a refund and will buy another brand.

the new boxes with the solid brown strip are impossible to light after 10-15 matches. The first few matches struggle to strike on the strip. The side stripe wears out too fast and is unusable after 10-15 matches.

Unfortunately my necklace came scratched even though it was in its bag. It could be that the chain scratches it. I am hoping the company will reach out and replace it and make sure it is better protected.

This necklace is very pretty, but very hard to not tangle due to the nature of the delicate chain. I got a knot in it almost immediately. Still love the necklace but have to be extremely careful with it.

The chain is a bit short but was my fault for not measuring first. Recommend longer than 16” It’s still the perfect little charmer. Thanks so much!

I cannot say to or not to buy these matches. They do work, just not as well as we thought they would. Definitely not strike anywhere and yes, we are being reasonable about where we were trying. For me, the price is high at over 3.

Excelant, I found some hollow candel wick, cut to lenght, put the match inside up to the match head, then dip the match in melted wax several times. Now I have great strike anywhere matches, that are water proof, & with an extended burn time to start a fire.

These are great for survival purposes.

Used these to teach kids how to light a gas cook stove with matches. These were really great as the kids could hold them really far back from the flame, and they could take their time. Kids were really proud they did it!.

First of all, these matches burn five times longer because they’re five times bigger than a normal match. The maches, themselves, work fine. There’s nothing special about these matches, as they’re not water or windproof, they’re just a normal match.

Just bigger than normal. I can say that these matches do a better job at lighting grills, candles that have melted down into the pillar and light stoves pretty well. The only downside I can see, aside from the box not being waterproof (Etc.

) is the box being five times bigger as well, due to the match size. I can’t see myself carrying these around for lighting a campfire, although, as stated, they do well for everyday tasks around the house.

Tried a recent purchase and disappointed at extremely short burn time – about three seconds until dead out – the wooden match was barely scorched. Basically these are no better in use than the poor kitchen matches available today.

I have used these matches for years and was most impressed with them. Shove one of these into some wood shavings and you are almost guaranteed your fire will start. Then I went to start a fire with a brand new pack and they would not start on fire.

They were not wet. They would not even start to spark. I agree that of course there can be bad batches of anything but when you have hungry mouths to feed and your in the bush and your fire does not start that is not good.

Luckily I had another source of fire. Now I carry a flint and steel as my primary fire starter, and a lighter as back up. It is more rewarding to start a fire that way after all, and if my seven year old son can do it you can too.

I would recommend bringing a small zip lock bag of tinder. It is so light and small and you can experiment with all kinds of things : birch bark, cotton wood fluff, dandelion fluff, dryer lint, toilet paper.

I was car camping with a rented stove. The flint on the stove wasn’t working. My lighter wasn’t working. These worked! Over and over! Be careful not to break the matches when striking. The plastic + carboardbox packaging was a bit inocnviented.

I use them to light candles pretty much daily. I’m not really sure why they are called “large”, because they seem like normal sized matches. But that is probably because I have never used smaller box matches.

I was absolutely in LOVE with these bracelets when I saw them and I LOVED the story with each one. Before purchasing I did read they were gold filled which to me is no problem. I have had these bracelets for about a month and they have all tarnished so bad and quickly.

I have kept them out of the water such as showering or washing my hands. I have tried cleaning them and nothing helped. Now they’re turning my wrist green. They are not worth the price as I got 4 for $15 all together somewhere else gold plated and they have lasted forever in perfect condition.
