20 Best Sides For Rotisserie Chicken (2023 Updated)

During the cooking of a couple of chickens, the motor kept overheating and stopping. I finally shielded the motor with foil and it finished without an issue. Odd problem for a grill accessory.

Not the quality you would expect from Napoleon, The bracket for mounting the motor is very thin and flimsy, the rotisserie does not come with the counterbalance weight as shown in the images, this is due to the Rogue range of Napoleon grills not having the height clearance, this means doing a chicken larger than 4Lb just cannot be done.

Disappointing both in quality of product and the general grill design.

I bought this rotisserie kit a month ago when the heavy duty kit I had previously for a different BBQ was too short to work in the Napoleon BBQ I had purchased recently. It comes with multiple sections for the main rod which thread together for various sized grills and 2 heavy duty skewers which large easy to tighten knobs to secure the skewers to the rod.

The counter balance is well designed and easy to adjust to balance the rotation of the rotisserie. The motor appears to easily handle a large roast or a large turkey so it rotates smoothly and evenly.

Every part is stainless and I feel like this will last awhile. Everything breaks down for easy hauling and storage. I specifically got it because the bottoms of the legs come off so I can easily make brackets to work on other equipment.

The bracket design also make it easy to adapt smaller spits with the legs. They included a storage bag which I wasn’t expecting and it tore into three parts just unzipping it. Since it isn’t listed I won’t ding for it for being the free quality.

The only design issue I see is with how the motor mounts. It slips into the spit and along with brackets stays where it is expected. However, if the bracket part is a little loose the motor is supported by the part that turns the spit causing excess friction and strain.

I feel like if the meat is heavy or uneven it is going to put undue stress on the motor parts and make it work harder than it needs to. I plan on finding some clips I can butterfly on when cooking to lift the motor a little bit to take strain off it.

I’m sure this design is to prevent people mistakingly supporting the whole spit with the motor but hoping to find an in-between solution.

First time doing a piglet and first time with a stand alone rotisserie. This thing is great. Easy to assemble and manage. It is a simple but extremely effective design. We did a 30 pound piglet and it seemed like a perfect match.

The spit is two pieces and is reverse threaded so once assembled it is not likely to come apart with the rotation. I ordered extra forks and used a total of three to secure the piglet then bound it every six inches or so with cooking string.

Piggy stayed in place while rotisserie and fire did the rest. I did receive the wrong leg shackles but customer service was quick to remedy that with fast and friendly service and great communication.

The motor is surprisingly quiet, and well, you can tell that our event went well. The rotisserie comes with an exploded view sheet that identifies parts and was all that I needed to get things assembled and rotating but just in case there is a more complete manual online.

I did use four 3/8″ X 10″ lag screws instead of the included pegs to secure this to the ground but only because I made a pad out of gravel to have a level base. Excellent warranty. Ok, I ‘m happy, and I obviously would recommend one of these, even to a friend.

I was excited to purchase this piece of equipment and use it for a pig roast party my wife and I were hosting. When I got the tripod, the spit/rotisserie bar didn’t work and needed to be replaced as the male/female parts wouldn’t fit together.

I immediately contacted customer service to inform them and sent them a video of what was wrong. They agreed to replace the parts as quickly as possible and sent me an invoice the next day confirming the new parts were being shipped.

I was optimistic that this would all be sorted quickly. Yet, a week went by and the replacement parts hadn’t shown up. I tracked the shipping and it listed another many days before delivery. My party was being hosted a couple days later so I was forced to pay hundreds of dollars to rent the only rotisserie grill I could source near my city.

It has now been almost two weeks since they claimed the replacement parts were being shipped and they STILL HAVE NOT ARRIVED. Thanks for nothing Titan. I ultimately wasted an enormous amount of money because they sent faulty parts and didn’t send the replacement parts quickly enough.

I feel like you all should owe me money for the rental fees I had to incur.

I cooked the product according to directions and even let it sit in the microwave for a while as I was making other sides for dinner. It still came out very runny. The sauce did not stick to the pasta.

The pasta itself was fine. The cheese sauce tasted like. nothing. If you had poured water over a bowl of macaroni, I wouldn’t have been able to distinguish it from this dish. There were a handful of what appeared to be large bacon bits in the sauce that sort of marginally tasted like bacon, but they really didn’t add anything to the overall flavor of the product.

Normally I enjoy Knorr side dishes, but this one is a big fail.

Alfredo! Find this one of the best Alfredo pastas, with only one drawback. It has too much salt in it. If you would please, greatly reduce the amount of salt. We can always add, but we can’t take it out of your package.

I don’t think it would harm the taste, but it would be some much better tasting for me, as well as being much healthier. I find I can reduce the saltiness by adding some extra liquid and thin pasta that cooks at about the same rate.

I also add fresh spinach near the end, to just wilt in the sauce before it is too thick. Thank you!!.

When I bought the Joetisserie years ago, I was over the moon! Chicken, lamb for souvlaki meat etc. Absolutely awesome when it’s running. Unfortunately, I lost my spit-rod during a house-move (totally my fault).

I went to a local supplier here in Aus. They can’t order the part individually. When I contacted Kamado Joe they said since it’s Aus they can’t help. It was like $300+ when I bought it years ago and I can’t buy a replacement rod.

Best solution is to grind down a rod from Bunnings which is kind of absurd.

I have the classic 2 and have bought cast iron , the ash basket , bought the smoke ware vent because the dome that came with it is not near as nice and binds up way too easy. But with all the add on’s still love using it weekly.

Now I get the joetisserie. With high hopes I installed and what a failure in the fit , absolutely pathetic that it doesn’t fit. I went back to see if I ordered the wrong one but nope. Just how it fits.

As pricey as all the accessories are one would expect them to fit and be able to use with the divide and concur set up. Now I’m in for over 2k with accessories and really wish I had looked into other smokers that are more versatile as I do like multiple types of cooking.

I was going to order the doughjoe next but I won’t be ordering any other accessories now.

When I built my outdoor kitchen, the featured item was a Kamodo smoker. I researched exhaustively, and finally decided on the Kamado Joe. At the time of purchase, there was a deal happening that either the pizza accessory or the rotisserie came with the purchase.

I bought the Kamado primarily for its flexibility as a smoker etc, so decided to go with the rotisserie. Can I just say this thing totally rocks! After roasting several whole chickens, I just roasted a turkey breast, and soon will venture into Ribs, briskets etc.

I have hosted several parties and served the chickens and to a person they talk about how delicious it is, how juicy it is and how easy it is to prepare. The motor is super quiet, and the bar is heavy-duty.

I’ve actually had 2 birds on without any issues. If you are thinking about getting this, I couldn’t recommend it more. It fits the kamado perfectly, is easy to set up and while I didn’t think I would use it much, its become by favorite aspect of the Kamado Joe.

Because the quality of the entire set cup is so high, I’m going to get the pizza cooker next!.

I like that the fact that you get a good amount of seasoning for a decent price. I bought this product hoping that it taste like the Perfect Pinch Rotisserie Chicken seasoning but it did not. Both of these chicken seasonings are made by McCormick but they do not taste the same to me.

The Perfect Pinch Chicken Seasoning taste better so I was disappointed in that respect. The Perfect Pinch Chicken Seasoning has a milder taste than this product. Some people may prefer the stronger/spicier taste of this seasoning over the milder taste of the Perfect Pinch.

I prefer the milder taste over the stronger taste. I gave the okay rating because of my preference so I can’t condemn this product. I know this review is long but I hope it will help someone to make an informed decision.

Excellent on Air fried Chicken! I even use it when I make chicken salad. I finally ran out and couldn’t find none anywhere. Glad Walmart was able to deliver!

Solid background seasoning when you need a lot of rub. It’s got a mild heat to it, and adds a lot of flavor for a low price point. Useful for far more than chicken. If you’re going to use it for actual rotisserie chicken, I’d suggest blending some with a few tbsps of corn starch and one of sugar.

This is so easy! I follow directions and add two bags of rice to boiler. (He always ask for big batch to batch) While rice is cooking add a can of drained corn and 2 cans of white meat chicken. Continue to cook as package directs.

While rice and additions continue to cook, add a bag of steam broccoli florets to the microwave and follow directions. When rice has completed cooking add 1 3/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese and steamed broccoli.

Stir mixture. Pour into casserole dish and sprinkle 1/4 cup cheese to top. Put into 400 degree oven. Cook until cheese is melted and starting to brown a little. Take out of oven and let casserole sit for 5 minutes.

Serve plate.

This rice and pasta blend has a nice light, sweet Teriyaki taste. The Teriyaki is not too overwhelming. It also has small pieces of carrots and leeks adding more nice flavor. It is simple to make and is ready in 7-8 minutes.

The rice comes out tender and the texture with the carrots and leeks is good. This is great as a side dish or as a meal by adding some meat and vegetables of your choice. I like using it for both ways.

A few other great things about this is that this rice has no artificial or preservatives and no MSG. My entire family enjoys the sweet flavor of this rice.

So, as a working mother there were many times I had to make dinner on the fly. I was a faithful Rice-A-Roni user for years. But our local store didn’t carry these flavors so I saw the Knorr brand was there.

I tried it and actually thought… why didn’t I do this sooner? Great flavor and rice seems fluffier. Want a quick dinner? Brown some chicken breast, dice it. Make the Knorr Cheddar/Broccoli and Chicken Cheddar packs to package directions.

Add chicken breast, frozen chopped broccoli and additional cheese and you have a squared meal with all food groups and in one pan!.

I bought a couple of packages of Knorr Stroganoff Pasta Sides after seeing a neighbor having some as his dinner. I always knew that they existed but I never paid much attention to them. Still at like $1 per package I figured they were worth a shot.

It takes just a few minutes to boil a small pan of water/milk/butter, add the contents of the packet, stir, cook, turn power off, and let the mix stand to thicken. This is a great option when you need something to eat pretty quickly.

Is this gourmet food? Nope. Is this a balanced meal? Nope. Is this particularly healthy? Nope. Still it is fast, easy, and cheap to have on its own or as a side for something else like a burger, chicken, etc.

I would buy them again.

Made this last night and it was delicious then and today at lunch as leftovers. While the pasta was cooking I sautéed some chicken and mushrooms chunks along with some broccoli florets. Seasoned them with a little garlic salt and pepper.

When the pasts was done (& rested) I dished it up, put the chicken etc. on top with a sprinkle of grated parmesan. It was tasty, easy, and quick. One word of caution, watch that milk and water mixture, it can boil over the second you turn away.

I reached over to rinse my hands and it went from simmering to all over the stove in a blink of an eye! :).

The creamy garlic shells from knorr is a good side dish in a pinch, and goes with a lot of different meals. The taste is good and it’s quick to throw together. The only reason I’m giving the product 3 stars is that I find the cooking instructions iffy.

Sometimes when I make it, the pasta is done perfectly. Sometimes, it’s cooked to mush and sometimes it’s underdone. I have it figured out now but it took some trial and error. I think it depends on what kind of pot you’re using and your individual stove.

Regardless, I’ll probably keep this product around for convenience.

The basket is really great for French fries and the skewers for kabobs. The rotisserie handle does the job for putting them in and taking them out. I’m still exploring other uses and recipes. Love the fact that they come clean in the dishwasher.

I am now in search for some sort of base to hold it while putting the loaded skewers on the rack.

Superb. We have been having Roast vegetables nearly every supper since we bought it. Fill it with Apples, Potatoes, Beets Celery, Peppers, Onions and Garlic along with some spice,and~1 1’2 tbs of butter.

Set on Chicken (air fryer) and start the basket spinning. Do something else and come back in 40 minutes to better than restaurant quality food.

purchased max airfryer oven grill 6 weeks ago it is fantastic haven’t used the oven since. we have rotissoried a beef roast and a pork roast turned out great. fries chicken fingers wings all turn out good.

would definatly reccomend.

Made this tonight using the larger family size, since we were a few of us for dinner. This first thing is the ratio of water to use is wrong. The package said 4 cups, bring to a boil, add “rice” and simmer for seven minutes.

This was still soupy and needed several more minutes to boil off the excess water. The second issue, is when the package says Spanish rice, I expect it to be a majority of rice. It was all pasta and you needed to look hard to find the rice.

Very disappointed and will not buy again. Knorr needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

During the early days of the pandemic, we found ourselves trying all kinds of new products, and this was one of the brands we add to the grocery list. It’s easy and fast too cook. It goes pretty good for our family of three, but would easily do four servings pretty good.

I like that my teenage kids can prepare and they enjoy it, and that’s saying something with one very picky teen who is quick to turn up her nose on most brands. Hence why this is now one of those items that stays on our list.

About the only recommendation is raise the font size on the cooling instructions. It’s like 6 point type on a shiney surface. I find that I struggle to read the instructions quickly. I tend to find lower light and a magnifying lens work best, for us older seeing challenged people.

But this is just a recommendation, and not a deal killer. That’s why I put my teens to prepare.

(’22) IC: Knorr has some of the best side dish packets to buy! They are reasonably priced at $1. 00 or more plus tax. Sometimes ya just don’t feel or have time to cook a full course meal. On days like today, I slid through a drive-in and ordered some chicken right; Came home, marinated mushrooms and onions, boiled corn on the cob and made this Knorr Side Dish.

Simple to make; Easy to follow instructions. No artificial flavors or preservatives; no added MSG. Give it a try. They have been around for some time. I would recommend it to anyone.

My daughter’s pup has always been a picky eater. She has tried multiple types of kibble but the pup just picks away and is not very interested in eating. My daughter has added a tablespoon of wet food to the kibble but the pup will just use her tongue to push the kibble away eating only the wet food.

Recently she basically stopped eating and started vomiting bile. The vet examined her and found nothing physically wrong with the pup. She instructed my daughter to serve her a bland diet (rice and chicken) which the pup scoffed up.

Realizing that my daughter is not going to feed her puppy chicken the rest of her life, I did a little research and found this product. I thought it would be a worth a try. It is absolutely amazing! With just a little sprinkled over her kibble, the puppy eats until her bowl is licked clean.

For all of you with picky eaters, I highly recommend this product!.

My 140lb Coonhound/Mastiff rescue used to demand a huge portion of Honest Kitchen dehydrated food as a topper. My Pughuahua got bored with that and decided to go on a hunger strike. I tried this in desperation.

A light “dusting” of this magic powder has got both of them reminding me that it’s time to eat. This is hugely economical because I use less than a teaspoon on both dog’s bowls combined. It doesn’t matter what kibble I’m serving, it now gets devoured by both of them.

I’ve had the bag for over a month now and it is still looking pretty full. I’m going to try bacon flavor next. If your dog chokes on the inhaled powder, I’m talking about you, Pugs, use a spray bottle to mist the powder first.

I absolutely love this grill pan! I live in an apartment where no grilling is allowed, so I wanted to try this pan out instead of a fry pan like we usually use. This allows the meat to taste soooo much better!! I was nervous at first with the handle if it would be hot to the touch while in use, but the handle was actually cool the whole time.

We’ve only used this once so far, but it is going to get plenty of use the next several years.

Grilling makes so many foods taste better and I’m not just talking about hamburgers. This is awesome for grilling vegetables and fruit. One of my favorite is grilled peaches! The grill lines add incredible flavor and bring out the juices.

This grill pan has a thick aluminum construction that heats up quickly and is light weight to handle. The handle has a V-shaped design that keeps it from getting hot. The non stick coating is awesome; baked on in three layers, it’s incredibly durable.

I’ve had so many different sets of cookware over the years. 40 years ago it was Farberware because that’s what my mom had. As those began to wear out after 20 years or so I went looking for something new and nonstick, went through 3 or 4 versions of Calphalon and one set of Rachel Ray pans they all wore out or became unusable due to scratches and flaking.

I’ve had this set for just over a month and truly believe this is the last set of pans I will ever buy. They heat evenly, nothing sticks and they clean like a dream, they say they are dishwasher safe but I haven’t tested that yet as I’ve never had an issue where I felt I needed to put them in the dishwasher.

My only complaint is that the handles on the lids do get hot because they are metal but that is easily remedied with a small potholder. They work great on my glass top electric stove (I’ve never had anything but gas up to this point).

Trust me you will not be disappointed in this set.

At first was not too happy with the consistency after cooking, kind of dry and soggy, BUT during cooking time added fresh chunks of broccoli and cooked chicken. yes, like chicken-rice-broccoli casserole.

Put in oven about 10-15 mins. in a 350 degree oven. Turned out pretty good, easy and fast to make!.

Love this stuff. I feel so blessed that I has no MSG in it. Thank you for not having it because I’m allergic to it. The flavors are wonderful it’s great to add beans or me to it and stir fry it is delicious after you cook it… I would raise a 10 if I could they are delicious all of them.

I have enjoyed having these Knorr rice sides in the pantry to help round out busy weeknight dinners. They are super easy to prepare and are delicious. I’m so glad I am able to get them in bulk so I never run out.

This has a really great flavor and you definitely can taste the added seasonings. I usually just grab this with some Colby Jack cheese and eat it as a quick snack. I’m taking off a star for two reasons.

One, the package is poorly designed. Even comparing the package to Hillshire Farms you will notice a huge difference. The package is flimsy. If you make the mistake of taking the entire lid off, just know that once you do that it almost never goes back on correctly.

The second reason is the price. $4 for 9 ounces is expensive. I’m not even sure that I buy that the actual meat is 9 ounces, I think that they are weighing the package too.

I was blessed to try Oscar Mayer DeliFresh Rotisserie Seasoned Chicken Breast free in exchange for my honest review. Oh boy, what a delicious sandwich it was! It definitely tasted of rotisserie seasoning it was sliced just right.

It tasted very fresh and delicious. I appreciate there’s no artificial preservatives, no nitrates or nitrites, and no added hormones. A 16oz family package only costs $5. 99. That’s a great deal. Oscar Mayer products have been a staple in my household my whole life as long as I can remember and will continue to be a staple in my household.

You just can’t beat the value and the quality. I recommend Oscar Mayer DeliFresh Rotisserie Seasoned Chicken Breast.

When I open the package, I immediately smelled the roasted chicken aroma which is a good sign of something tasty to come. So, I made a sandwich with the rotisserie chicken slices in a sandwich with toasted garlic brioche buns, garlic aioli and a larger sliced tomato.

Originally, I thought the slices were too thin but they really were sliced just right when they’re stacked in rolled halves as it gave it the right depth for the sandwich. Since I purchased the 1 lb container, I would have wanted a container that had a seal to keep the freshness and to also keep its flavor and aroma separated.

The container has a pull apart top and it didn’t close up tight and I could still smell the product of plastic topper was placed back on. This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.

Grab these for a quick lunch and dip them in an artichoke dip or a cucumber dill dip. Yummy. We also twist the chicken off the sticks and grill in olive oil until it’s gold brown and a little crunchy.

Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans or a salad…add a little gravy. Yumm-O.

Tried after reading reviews and loved these! I’m not sure how others prepared these but I would not recommend microwave. I did them in oven on baking sheet for about 10 mins and came out great. I’m assuming those who did not like these used microwave to heat up? We had them over rice with a salad and it was a quick health meal!.

I love these chicken stix. I use bbq sauce and put in my slow cooker with small amount of water. Also have done in oven wraped in foil. They are so good when cooiked. I use them as a main meal or put chicken on salad.

Hope they keep them in my store. I am pretty picky too.

3 kids- 1 that is extremely picky- and they all eat it and LIKE it! This is the first lunch meat they will eat as a sandwich. I am hopeful that they will read this and continue to make this. When it said limited time on the sign I about cried.

Love the seasoning on this lunchmeat! Truly tastes just like a delicious rotisserie chicken but in convenient slices. My friends & family absolutely love this chicken for sandwiches & on salads.

three days after purchasing it, the Turkey slices started getting slimy. Had to throw the whole thing out. This also happens with the ham slices. I don’t recommend buying it unless you plan on using it all immediately.

I will say this rotisserie seasoned chicken was not my favorite of the bunch. It wasn’t bad by any means, but the flavor was a little on the bland side compared to other flavors they offer. I still added it to my other Oscar Mayer deli meats but wouldn’t make an entire sandwich with it.

I feel it needs the lettuce, mayo, cheese and other meat flavors to create a decent flavored sandwich. As a last resort I would buy it if I needed it in a pinch, but it wouldn’t be in my top 3 choices from Oscar Mayer.

As stated before, I feel the packaging is not the best for any of the deli meats. They don’t reseal properly. Something resealable would definitely be much better.

The slices were quite thin, yet firm. They were easy to pull apart in order to layer them on my sandwich. After trying the Sub Kit though, I would have preferred the slices be flat. The way they’re packed could lead to grabbing an unnecessary amount out of the pack.

Flavor wise, I quite liked it. It was flavorful enough without being too overpowering for my pallet. Shape wise, I would use a different bun so there wasn’t so much meat hanging off. I’d consider a circular bun to have a balanced bread to deli slice ratio.

I would consider incorporating this into my deli meat rotation.

I cooked this exactly as the bag instructed. The chicken was in all different sizes, mostly nugget sizes, a few pieces about half the size of a tender, the rest just pieces of thick, mushy, breading with no meat inside of them.

Some pieces were over cooked while others were mushy and wet because they didn’t cook consistently because of various sizes of the pieces of chicken. The chicken was too spicy for one of my boys and the other said it was the worst chicken he ever tasted.

The pieces that I tried had more thick and mushy breading, rather than meat, and felt like I would eat it again if someone paid me to eat it, let alone ever wasting my Money on this again. If you are looking for anything that is close to something you might put together yourself with BBQ sauce, forget it.

It doesn’t come close and you are better off taking a piece of plain chicken and pouring BBQ sauce on it. It would taste a whole lot better than this rubbish. $9 thrown in the trash as far as I’m concerned.

Will NEVER abut these again.

I love this product and purchase it often from my local grocery store. I have noticed that there are far more nuggets in the bag than there are straps. Initially I thought this could be due to shipping and the straps are broken into smaller pieces.

But on closer inspection, there is no evidence that pieces brake off of a larger piece. The nuggets appear to be intentional. I think this is misleading to customers who think they are buying strips but wind up with more nuggets.

If I find a comparable product, I will sadly switch for this reason. Sell what you advertise.

The name suggests that these crispy chicken breast strips are something better than the standard frozen chicken nuggets that are marketed to 5 year olds. In fact, they are exactly the same thing, only priced higher.

I was expecting solid chunks of chicken breast in a pan Korean like coating. What I got was the same unidentifiable solidified meat paste as all other nuggets in a flavorless breading. It’s technically edible, but it’s not actually tasty and certainly doesn’t justify the additional cost over standard nuggets.

It’s not named correctly. The first ingredient is salt and not an herb, so it’s a salt. It is so salty that I had to dilute it with paprika, sage and thyme to use it. It also came as a solid brick so I had to use an ice pick to break it up.

It’s pretty useless to me.

Although it tastes great, I am only giving 3 stars because it needs an anti-caking agent. I have gotten twice (different times of year) and both times it caked up into a hard lump and had to throw away.

Put in an anticaking agent and will give it 5 stars.
