13 Best Sides For Grilled Salmon (2023 Updated)

I purchased after reading reviews praising the griddle. I assume that I must have a different version of the griddle than in the reviews. As for the griddle that I received, I have tried seasoning the griddle, I have tried greasing the griddle, I have tried 5 different times to cook an egg and a pancake on the griddle and each time those items are so completely fused on to the griddle that they cannot be salvaged.

I loved the idea of a griddle that perfectly fits the Weber Summit Grill, and this one absolutely does. But, it just doesnt work as a griddle at all. I have contacted BBQguys about a return several times and can’t get a reply from anyone about it.

So, my suggestion based on my experience it to run from this griddle and look elsewhere. I may have to settle for one that sits on top of my grates.

Have long wanted a griddle insert for this fabulous grill, so I was quite irritated when FedEx ‘lost’ it in Troutsdale, OR; though the delay only ended up being 3 days. Once delivered we wasted no time installing it and making homemade tortillas on it! Delicious! The insert is easy to install, easy to clean, and works a treat! So glad to have finally added one to the grill!.

Fits my summit perfectly. Have used the griddle side. Very nice and non stick. Cleans easily after soaking, as per instructions. This thing is HEAVY.

I received the pan as a gift, and I’m thrilled with it! First of all, it looks super sleek and it’s incredibly lightweight. I expected something like this to be a lot heavier, but it’s so light, which is great.

I’ve used this a few times since a received it and it always works great. It seems like the heat spreads evenly, so everything I’m cooking is on the same schedule and cooked to the same level. I love the grill pan feature, which makes beautiful grill marks.

And the non-stick element is a life saver, especially compared to a traditional grill pan. Cleaning up was so easy and quick, I barely had to scrub. Overall, I’m excited about this gift and would highly recommend to others! – H.

The 2. 5 pound bag of Sam’s Club frozen Atlantic Salmon filets comes individually wrapped in freezer grade plastic, and there are six to seven pieces per bag. When I meal prep, I just put two frozen pieces in a bowl of room-temperature tap water for about 20 minutes to thaw.

Then, I remove the fish from the plastic pouch, rinse lightly, season, and pop in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 360 degrees. We eat the Salmon at least three times per week so I will change up on the seasoning but garlic is always a must.

I combine the garlic with fresh thyme, or rosemary from my garden. Sometimes I will switch up and use dill weed. I like to sautee a large onion in a little butter or olive oil and spoon that over the fish for another flavor experience.

One piece per serving.

We purchased this product for years and loved it, until about a year ago. Since then, the salmon has become very strong and fishy. Twice we have been unable to finish it. Last night, it was so fishy that it was sickening.

I literally used mouthwash, then brushed, then used mouthwash again because the taste was making me so nauseous. I don’t know if the supplier has changed or perhaps the processing method, but will never purchase it again.

It’s so sad because this was one of our very favorite products for years… mild, yet flavorful. Great texture. It was exceptional. It is now inedible. Not sure what happened to it.

I love salmon fillets and have them add a number of restaurants and they always taste so good and do not have that “fishy“ taste. But every time I have tried to buy either fresh salmon or other brands of frozen salmon they have that strong taste that I don’t like and I keep asking myself where do they get those salmon fillets at restaurants that don’t have that strong taste.

Well, I finally decided to try the members Mark Brand which has high ratings on the Sam’s website. Tonight a pan sautéed a fillet with some lemon pepper and a little bit of olive oil and it was delicious! Absolutely no fishy taste! I’m glad to have a bag of these in my freezer now I’ll have something healthy to fix for a quick meal with a steamed bag of vegetables and I’m all set!.

These Salmon Jerky are one of my absolute favorite go to high prortein snacks! I do not eat beef so beef Jerry is not an option but even if it was I would choose these Epic Smoked Salmon Maple Jerky snacks!!.

These are a great low calorie snack with a good amount of protein. The taste is very sweet and maple-y which I loved.

This is def unique but not in a bad way. I like it but it def has that salmon flavor so if you’re not into that you won’t like it. But the maple balanced it nicely

While I don’t have much experience with various brands of griddles. I feel like, for the money, this one is hard to beat. At the time of this review, the sale price was/is 249. 99. There are several comparable griddles at this price point with similar builds, features etc.

I was able to purchase this item for 199. 99, and had a coupon for signing up with the website for $20 off $100 purchase. The build quality seems rather sturdy for something that collapses rather easily/conveniently.

whether it be for portability or storage. I think the thing I like most about this griddle, aside from the aforementioned. is the lack of stainless steel. My experience with stainless steel products, outdoor or otherwise.

is that they’re anything but that. not without some major cleaning/upkeep. While I do believe the Blackstone series of griddles are quality products. when it comes to price point meeting functionality.

there is no comparison (unless you’re getting a great deal on a Blackstone, obviously). I definitely recommend this product all-around. and I will post an update in the future once I’ve gotten more real world usage out of it.

I can’t say enough about this griddle. First off, the price is amazing for what you get with it. The wheels makes maneuverability easy to get from place to place and the shelves actually fold up to cover the cooktop, so no extra, unused, equipment to keep track of.

The cooktop is large enough to cook for the entire family in one shot! The front grease trap is a nice bonus to clean out easily and not have to reach around back or under to empty. Would definitely buy again!.

Bought a Razor Grilldke for my husband for Christmas. He opened it Christmas Eve so that he could get it seasoned and cook on it for Christmas. The entire side is all dented and bent up. They offered a return label or a 30.

Most 4 burners are in the $300-$400 range, so for $199 shipped to my house for free it is a great deal with a few exceptions. Over I would give it a 7. 5-8 out if 10! There are a few things below to watch for though.

First, it is heavy and definitely a 2 person job. It took my adult son and I around 1. 5 hours to put together start to finish (and we’re both pretty good at building things). I recommend using a screwdriver bit on a drill at a very low setting (chuck adjustment) so you don’t strip the screws – it will save you a lot of time.

Second, when we seasoned the grill it made a mess the first time, there are definitely hot spots on the grill above the burners, there’s a trade off between the thickness of the cast iron – too thin you get hotspots and too thick you use too much energy to heat the cast iron.

After the initial seasoning it seemed to work fine. My first cook after seasoning included bacon, and the coating of the bacon grease really seemed to help. You never want the top to get super dry or your “seasoning of the grill dried out”! This grill gets really hot, so be careful of burning you food because you may if you turn it to high (much better problem to have vs not getting hot enough).

Finally, I would give the grill cover itself a 3 out of 10! They should have out better Velcro on it to keep it in place. There are a few small Velcro tabs on the inside and they don’t work well. They should have made the cover longer as well since it doesn’t protect the wheels and I’m afraid they’ll rust over time.

We had a storm a few days after setting it up and despite using the Velcro it the cover still blew off. This caused water to settle on the top of the grill and filled up the oil drain box. If this happens, you need to completely dry the grill and then turn on for a few minutes so any water left evaporates – if you don’t soon after you get water on the grill it will most likely rust since it is cast iron (even if you have seasoned it)! My last piece of advice is only use it on days that you have time to let it completely cool down when done so you can cover it so it doesn’t get wet and rust.

While this is a really good grill for the money overall, remember cast iron grills need more care than their much more expensive cousins – stainless steel grills. With a little care you won’t be disappointed!.

I was so excited for this grill, but have been left so disappointed. It was pretty easy to put together, minus one or two holes that didn’t line up, but that didn’t seem to have affected the structure of the grill.

Once I set up the grill, I places the cover provided on top until I was ready to use it about a week later. The bit water that sat on top of the grill cover from the rain we had the day prior to cooking on it for the first time seems to have seeped through the cover and onto the grill top causing rust.

I was so disappointed that there was already damage before I even got to use it. I was able to clean it off pretty well, and figured I needed to treat this top like a cast iron skillet, so I oiled it well after scraping off the food bits from it’s first use.

Before putting the grill cover back on, I triple checked for any water on the griddle and make sure it was oiled every inch. I took the cover off about 2 days later to use it again and once again there was a TON of rust, this time all over the entire cook top.

It hadn’t even rained on the grill cover. The only moisture on top of that grill cover within those two days was dew. After this, I did what I could to get as much rust off as possible. I was able to get a lot of it off, and use it again.

But the same thing happened about a week later when trying to use it. Since the griddle is clearly cheap, and the cover doesn’t actually protect the griddle, the only solution to this would be a metal lid.

I had such high hopes for this grill, but have been left extremely disappointed. If you can, just go spend the extra couple hundred dollars on the big name brand we all know. I wish I would have. I ordered this online, and it’s all put together so I’m not even totally sure how I can go about returning this item.

Aside from this massive disappointment, it does cook evenly and the structure of the grill so far is just fine. Just worried about cooking food for my family on a bunch of rust, so I will not be using this anymore.

I read several 1 star reviews with the following complaints: difficulty with assembly due to holes not lining up for screws, as well as the griddle top itself bowing when heating up. I ignored them because I figured other people might have been assembling it wrong, or that they were heating the grill too quickly.

I also had a hard time putting mine together due to holes not lining up. Luckily the bottom shelf has 3 screws supporting it at each corner because at least 3 screws overall simply would not screw in due holes not lining up.

Once I fired it up to season the top, it bowed immediately with the heat on the lowest setting! It isn’t super bad, but its enough to cause the grease to run left and right. Not ideal for a flat top grill.

One side is still relatively flat. I’ll keep it for now because it still cooks okay. Wishing that I had just spent another $100 and gotten the Blackstone.

I am always on the lookout for great, healthy snacks, or snack alternatives. The Epic Smoked Salmon is a great source of protein for people who eat on the go. It is very lightweight to carry around, easy to open, and can be eaten anywhere.

The Smoked Salmon strips taste good. The taste is something in between beef jerky and fish. What is great about this snack is that it doesn’t have a strong fishy smell, so you don’t have to worry about everyone smelling it.

However, I did expect this snack to be saltier than it really is. I think it would taste much better if more sodium was added. I also didn’t like how oily this snack was when taken out of the package, but nothing to be concerned about as long as you have a napkin ready.

Overall, a great snack, and I would definitely buy it again.

Product has a “different” taste and texture than I was expecting. I’ve eaten beef, turkey, venison jerky and goose meat sticks. Of course I’ve had salmon baked, grilled and poached (no sushi thank you!).

I’ve also had and made smoked salmon. This salmon product doesn’t have the flavor or texture of anything that I had in the past. The texture and package uniformity looks like the product was ground to a pulp (or powder) and injected into a mold or sheet for curing.

It has a strong fishy taste that lingers on the palate and breath a long time. Also the package is difficult to open without scissors. I recommend that you get a single package before you buy a whole box like I did.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with the product quality. Every individual pack is the same. This is not something I will personally order again.

I finally found a meat I can eat. After getting Covid my smell and taste have been changed and while I heal I am desperate for meat. Salmon I can do. Although it has garlic – which I can’t tolerate because of this illness – I can tolerate this jerky.

These are great for trips in the car. We usually keep the chicken salad ones in the car for long trips or short and the kids want a snack but u don’t want to always stop at fast food. My kids, husband and I enjoy these.

The salmon tastes like the chicken except for hint of salmon. It’s a nice change.

I like the other flavors bumble bee has to offer but this flavor just isn’t as good. It definitely is a great snack but not something you want to open in the office. Your coworkers will not like you if you do.

Pretty good only 120 calories for salmon salad and 80 calories for crackers perfect for lunch and no need to be refrigerated also comes with 6 crackers and a spoon only thing I would change is the amount of relish needs to be decreased.

Love the griddle and the way it cooks! We use it on our grill at our camper. We’ve made hamburgers and breakfast. Great product!! The over east eggs just slid off the griddle without any sticking. The hamburgers were awesome! I’d love to get a set for my home grill too!.

the first one I used I used on a weber kettle grill on top of two 18. 5 grill grates and it worked out great. I bought 3-18. 5 griddles for a different grill that I’m building but one fits in the middle of the kettle grill just fine.

I plan on trying to use it by itself to see the difference but I learned to put them on the grill grates on someone’s review here. I love them and thank you for making them.

I have now used the griddles several times. Here’s what I’ve found: – They simulate the teppanyaki table perfectly!!! – By pushing the griddle to the back and left of the grill, food does not fall down and you can use the sides of the grill to trap the things you’re stir-frying perfectly.

– I was worried about cleaning the griddle – no worries any more. Normally, the heat is low or off for the final deglazing process, so once the food is removed, using water and a cloth or scrubby brush, then lightly oiling leaves a perfectly smooth surface for the next use.

– So far, I’ve preferred to keep them connected, but with the heat turned low on one side. This simulates the teppanyaki griddle, where the sides are hot but not super hot, if you know what i mean. Knowing that the heat conducts, I keep the side griddle low or even off, and it works perfectly.

Also, leaving them connected enables me to move food from one side to the other without it dropping. The griddles are also perfect for fried or scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and sauteed veggies like squash, onions, and mushrooms.

Have been ordering this particular frozen salmon filets for at least three years and after researching, it is the second best deal, other than fresh salmon. However, fresh salmon costs considerable more money.

I selected this particular salmon, because Perricone advocates that Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon is better than farmed salmon. A small filet of wild salmon is more nutrient dense than farmed, has 131 fewer calories and half the fat content as the same amount of farmed.

Many studies have suggested that increasing the consumption of fatty fish such as salmon, decreases the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease. Dietary intake of salmon also supports healthful cholesterol levels.

Salmon can be a possible alternative to protein sources such as chicken and beef. It provides ample protein, but far less saturated fat content, making salmon an ideal source for maintaining weight loss or a normal – range BMI.

Most economical way to add an Alaskan wild caught fish, that is not farmed, and that is also very high in Omega 3 oil fatty acids, and low in Mercury and Lead, to a healthy diet. Eating a quality fish at least twice a week is necessary for a healthy diet and this Member’s Mark Wild Caught Alaskan Sockeye meets the bill and allows me to save money, PLUS it is very delicious.

I incorporate the filets into many recipes or just grill it straight out of the package, after defrosting. The package is 3 lbs, and the fillets are meal sized. I love that there are no other additives or seasonings, and I can add my own.

It is flash frozen very soon after processing. If I go to the fish store to get fresh salmon from Alaska, if it can be had, it costs $24/lb. Scottish salmon, which is farmed, is about $20 to $24 a lb also, so this is a much affordable buy for my family.

We buy fresh salmon on a weekly basis. I decided to give this a try for kids school lunches. I’ve never been fond of frozen salmon but the taste and texture in this one wowed me. The meat is so rich and flavorful! I loved it and it has become a stable on my shopping list.

My kiddos love it t oo. We didn’t find it too dry. The reason I think everyone is saying it’s dry is because this is sockeye salmon. Look up the different types of salmon usually sockeye is a little thinner in meat and not as moist/fatty as other salmons commonly sold.

Bought this out of convenience. Needed something fast equals target and this. Was excited due to reviews. I typically buy fresh never frozen from a German grocer I shall not name and never disappointed.

This was meh at best. It appears to have blackened seasoning on it but did not pick up the taste. Was very bland. I cooked three in air fryer and one in skillet. The one in the skillet was the best. If I were to purchase again, i would add my own blackened seasoning for flavor.

Or maybe mix my blackened seasoning with some butter and lemon and drizzle over. I wanted so much to love this convenient frozen food….

I virtually never give something a 5-star review, but this salmon is so good, it deserves all 5 stars. Its seasoning is subtle but delicious — I never feel like adding anything to it. But what really earns all the stars is the quality of the fish itself.

I’ve bought around 8 of these, and every single filet has been moist and delicious. If you don’t already know not to microwave frozen fish, make sure to cook this in a conventional oven per the instructions.

I cook it on the low side (12 mins rather than 15), and it comes our perfect every time.

I never leave reviews but I just had to. I usually only ever buy fresh salmon but I was trying to be a little more budget friendly tonight. I was super nervous because of it being frozen, but WOW! The flavor is great, not spicy at all.

When you read the package, it says to use within one day of opening. I’ve found that the quality holds for a couple of days of you keep it in the original packaging an airtight ziploc bag. I’ve bought several of these packaged and the quality is consistent every time.

It seems like you usually get 5-6 nice slices per package, which means I can make breakfast for the entire work week if I use 1 slice per day.

I LOVE bagels with cream cheese, salmon, and capers so thought I would try this brand to make at home. Great flavor, a little too oily for my taste, and VERY SMALL AMOUNT FOR THE PRICE!! Will probably not buy again for these reasons!.
