Love these wide Villeroy and Boch pasta dishes. They are wide, light and versatile. Many different dishes, like salads can be placed on these wide dishes and spread out around the brim leaving room in the middle for the main component of the meal like fish or Chicken.

Food is then attractively presented and not soggy due to being stacked on top of each other. The fork can be conveniently placed in the V shape of the dish. A perfect dish/plate which is versatile.

Beautiful dishes. We got the Large. and bought some for a gift as well. Color is off white and dishes go well with our VB new cottage as well as a set of Italian floral plates and dishes that we pull out now and then.

These dishes make everyday pasta meals special but really give homemade pasta and special recipes the presentation they deserve. The large size may be a storage challenge for some. check your shelf size.

and they are a bit awkward in the dishwasher. but they are easily hand washed. They also stack well despite irregular shape. Due to extra work and cost I don’t think we’d be using these for everyday family meals.

But perfect for couples, special occasions, small guest groups. They can also be used as buffet servers. large salads. etc. etc. Medium likely are still plenty large.

Love, love, love these! I purchesed several sets of these for myself several years ago – everyone who has seen/used them wants these! I have now gifted these four times – Wedding presents, Christmas gifts & Housewarming presents.

I have now been informed that they are what is expected by my grandaughter for her upcoming wedding!! Gift giving simplified.

I ate at an Italian restaurant recently and my pasta was served on a plate that also had a bowl in it. And that did it for me! I was on a hunt to find a similar plate/bowl online, and I stumbled on this brand.

Not sure about the durability as I have not (and don’t intend to) drop the plate. I’ve been using the plates now daily, yes, daily. on almost anything I eat. I’ve had it with pasta and even rice with teriyaki chicken.

Other pluses: when I handwash them, they don’t slip as easily because of the ridges; when I heat in the microwave, only the middle part gets hot so I can handle/hold onto the sides and it’s cool; and lastly, my spilled food still has an extra space to land on the sides.

This plate is amazing and so fun to eat on! Even my teenage son says so.

I have been looking for pasta plates looking like that for many years. I have failed a few times ordering ones online but this plates satisfy what I was looking for! The actual bowl part is reasonably sized.

The actual bowl area is slightly coated and the outer circle area is rock textured- so it feels and sounds rough when you scrape. It looks like it is made up of card board due to wrinkled texture on the outside, making you wonder if colored sauce would stain (someone mentioned below) but it does’t! Overall beautiful plate and I would keep it until my husband breaks it!.

I’d been debating what dinnerware to purchase for my new home, and I ended up deciding to purchase this when it was put on deep discount. The plates are excellent quality, and gorgeous. I’m thrilled to have purchased, and even went back to get an additional 4 pieces to ensure I’d have 12 place settings.

The in-store customer service at my local Bloomingdale’s was absolutely superb, and the associate (Carol) was fantastic.

The quality of this plate is amazing. Beautiful and show cases the food very nicely. I have done a salad with watercress, heirloom tomatoes, mango-pomegranate dressing, burrata cheese and watermelon radishes.

The colors were amazing, beautiful and the guests when served were in awww. I love this plate. Dinner as served also in the same plate and it was a Coho salmon seared skin on finished with butter and fresh thyme,smoked fennel pesto, served on butter poached lobster risotto and roasted carrots, served over orange beurre blanc sauce.

The bowl is absolutely beautiful and I already owned 6 when I ordered 2 more from David Jones. Unfortunately, the bowls were not packaged securely and arrived smashed to pieces. Very disappointing.

I had already the Wave set of V&B and use it on special days. Now I got the complete set Manufacture rouge and Gris for 12 people. I can mix the colour or stay with one colour. It has a great quality and shape (fits perfect in the dishwasher).

I use that porcelain every day. I am from Germany and when I see my dishes I really feel home.

As the title says, these are the most used dish in my house. I had no idea how beautiful they really are and look amazing with my manufactured white and black set. I use these all of the time and would 100% recommend and buy again.

My husband and I wanted to register for dinnerware, but couldn’t find anything which had clean lines but also didn’t feel too flimsy. This was the perfect compromise between his modern aesthetic and my wish for something more rustic/farmhouse-y.

We’ve been using the set everyday for the past few months and have had no issues with chipping. They are more of an off-white/cream than a true white (which we loved) and we especially like the pasta bowl, which we use for salads and everything that have sauces (Indian, Chinese, Italian of course).

The entire Artesano line is simply beautiful. Clean, simple design, can go from contemporary to traditional. Highly functional and efficient, from the bowls to the plates. Beautiful warm white color, not ivory, not cream, just a warm white.

This is a wonderful medium sized bowl. It is rather shallow, but has a wide “rim”, so things don’t spill easily. Very pretty, classic bowl. Very chip resistant! Perfectly sized to go with dinner plate.

Versatile bowls with a nice weight to them. Lovely way to serve a variety of dishes like pastas and stews. Not sure about the durability yet, but I’ve been using the frequently over the past month and washing in the dishwasher.

So far they appear solid and sturdy. No regrets on this purchase!.

Love these plates. Have held up nicely to many dishwashers cycles. One had a black mark on it, but the rest are perfect. Did not notice any oddly shaped bowls like others or chipping. Perfect for stacking in a cabinet and does not take up space.

Perfect for cereal and soup. Would definitely buy again, but wont need to because they appear to last!.

I love bone china and thought this would be an ideal replacement. Besides having difficulty in purchasing from John Lewis (stock availability, being sent plates that were not packed well and broke) I finally received them undamaged.

However after a month’s usage, I used a plate to heat some food that was at room temperature in the microwave and when I took it out, the plate had a cracked across it. Perhaps this plate just wasn’t meant for me.

The description of the plate clearly states that it is microwaveable and dishwasher proof.

I registered for this for my wedding–does double duty as everyday china and nice enough for more formal occasions. It feels delicate but is actually quite sturdy, looks contemporary while staying classic, and has a simple design with just enough style to not be boring.

So so happy with this choice. These dishes can go in the microwave and the dishwasher which makes them perfect for everyday. Made with high quality bone china. Have the 4-piece set and also a couple serving pieces, the small dip bowls (perfect for ice cream), and the pasta bowls (perfect for pasta, soup, salad, and chinese takeout!).

Plan to pick up a few more pieces over time. Only wish this design came with smaller plates for bread or apps.

I’ve had these just a short while, and within 2 years, 2 dishes broke. Meanwhile, my old Strawberry & Vine Wedgewood plates only had 1 breakage after 29 years. Nice, lightweight bone china, but they certainly don’t make china like they used to.

I really like Villeroy and Boch dishes. I have so many collections. This one is very contemporary. They mix well with the manufacture Rock also. The copper on the plates are hand painted.

Perfect design for spring and Easter. Love the rice bowl, the egg holder. everything except the dinner plate because it hardly had any depth. Good for only dry food, nothing with a sauce. It’s better as a charger plate.

We have been looking for a bright yellow accent, not a “mustard” yellow, for years. Love these and the grey as well. We have yellow and grey tiles in our kitchen☺

Very disappointed it’s discontinued Needed more plates

This is what I had to send to Vietri corporate: We spent thousands of dollars on vitrie lastra. Dinner plates bowl salad plates and pasta bowls as well as large serving bowls. It has turned into literally the most disappointing purchase on home wares ever.

You can’t even look at these dishes and they chip. We’re so careful we use felt pads between the dishes for storage this is who the user is and they are chipped profusely in many places. You literally produced the most inferior clay/china product ever, a $3 Walmart or target dish will stand up against this garbage.

Of your going to sell and produce luxury products please learn how to make them. Thank you. I will be reviewing this on multiple sites every one I can get to prevent other from having the same experience and waste of money.

I adore the size and shape of this bowl. It’s perfect for a small salad or pasta, even soup. The color is divine and there is a nice weight about the Lastra line that I love. Be warned, these pieces do not do well in the microwave.

(for me anyway, after two minutes some of my pieces cracked and one completely broke in two) It could be that my microwave is too many watts and producing too much heat. as a result, I no longer put my Lastra in the microwave for any purpose.

Other than learning that, I am very happy with this line of dinnerware.

My husband and I registered for this entire set of dinnerware with Bloomie’s for our wedding in 2014, and it has caused us nothing but problems since. First of all, the cereal bowls, while large enough for a whole pint of ice cream (which I’m not complaining about), must be lined up exactly in line with each other according to where the vertical line is on the bowl when storing them in the cabinet or they fall over and/or crack from stress.

Even then, they don’t nest well at all. They take up so much space in the cabinet as a result. Second, when you put these in the microwave, the items get extremely hot very fast without actually heating the food very much.

Thirdly, all items are big, bulky, and heavy. They also don’t get clean easily, so washing them by hand is very difficult as a result. Lastly, and most importantly, within a few months of use, many of the pieces developed long, hairline cracks underneath the glaze.

Some of the pieces cracked even more than that (ie. I could feel them because they had gone all the way through the item), and a few have broken without explanation. Some cracked in the oven even though everything is supposed to be oven safe.

The registry department was very accommodating and replaced all the cracked pieces for us at no charge about a year and a half ago, but we are still experiencing the cracking issues with the new pieces.

What I really wanted was just to return everything and get an entirely new dinnerware set but they could not honor this request. Buyer beware!! These plates, bowls, and mugs are trouble!.

These bowls are beautifully made, perfect for pasta dishes or a large salad. They replaced my thicker round pasta bowls. My mother led me to these. She only bought two initially. She ordered another set of two and they were smaller than her first two.

Just be careful of the dimensions you’re ordering! Gorgeous shape.

Interestingly shaped dish to add visual presentation to your table. Large enough for salads, pasta & rice dishes. Light weight enough to not be cumbersome. Glad it comes in a pair. It is Microwaveable and may require a little room for storage.

I bought this training pad for my Boston terrier and the quality is top of the line. Very well built. My puppy learned fast potty training with the product due to its visual and natural look. I truly recommend this product in specific as the price is well worth the quality you are getting.

Its perfect in size not too small or too big. I like that its easy to clean and can use an absorbent sheet inside. The May is doggy proof and will last a long time. Will buy again for a gift to friends.

We purchased the Small Bistro Bowls for my sister’s birthday. She absolutely loved them. We used them that night for dinner salad, a couple of days later they used them for soup, Then there was ice cream! Very versatile.

I’ve ordered twice from Everything Kitchens. Both times the product was a described, packaged securely and arrived in a timely manner. Both times the color was incorrect, but not because they shipped the incorrect color but because my selection was incorrect.

I have broken 2 14. 25oz small bowls and wanted to replace them. My first purchase was turquoise, but that color was too light. I then ordered lapis but that color was too dark. Needless to say I needed peacock.

Moral of this post. Make sure you know the correct color when ordering.

Beautiful and elegant. I bought as I find the blue Italian collection to much for my table but the quality and finish of Spode is my preferred choice of China. If your looking for understated beauty at your table then this collection is the one for you.

I bought my initial package with service for 12 in 2009 and it is still just as beautiful and stylish as the day we bought it. This set is absolutely beautiful and has definitely stood the test of time.

No marks from knives, no scratches in the beautiful color, etc. Over the years I have added more pieces (serving platter, gravy boat, vegetable serving bowl, pasta bowls for 12, cute small “accessory” bowls with the flowers, etc).

and they are all of equal quality. Also, I don’t believe in paper plates. so these get a TON of use every single day! I have had to replace a few of the plates and bowls over the years (we’ve dropped a few on our tile floor — nothing can withstand that).

and the new additions fit right in without any distinction. The ONLY thing I would say possible a little negative about this set is that the coffee mugs are a little too small for our coffee obsession — we have only used the mugs once or twice over the years.

Wish I hadn’t bought them because they’re just taking up space in my cabinet – but they came with the set, so oh well. But EVERYTHING else is perfect. This is a beautiful set — perfect for both every day use and for dinner parties.

My husband and I invested a great deal of time and effort researching items to include in our registry. After lengthy deliberation, we decided on the Noritake Colorwave Coupe set in White. (There is also a Cream, which is different from the White.

) We absolutely love the set and couldn’t be happier with it! The contrast between the true white, matte finish on the outside (or bottom side) of the plates, dishes, and mugs counters the cream-colored, shiny interior really nicely.

The subtle color contrast and difference in finishes makes the set stand out from the porcelain-finish white dinnerware you see at most restaurants. We’ve been impressed with the quality of the set, too.

They are the perfect weight for us–neither too heavy and bulky nor too thin and fragile. My husband and I got married just over a year ago and the set has held up incredibly well. We run everything in the set through the dishwasher with no problem.

A few pieces have even been dropped on our tile floor without breaking. (We did lose one dinner plate, however, when I slipped while holding a plate and it hit the floor with a bit more momentum. ) Size-wise, the dinner plates are perfect for us (i.

e. , on the larger side, but not too big). The smaller plates are good for side dishes and smaller portions of salad. The mugs are sort of mid-range in size. (We held on to larger mugs from an old dinnerware set for times when we want a big mug of soup or hot cocoa.

) The bowls that come with the set are a bit on the flatter side and not ideal for soup. (I think they’re described as salad bowls. ) You can purchase matching bowls that are deeper separately. We held onto the deeper soup bowls from a previous set, but plan to buy the larger Colorwave bowls in the future.

We were also given a matching white gravy boat, sugar bowl, serving bowl, and serving platter (i. e. , extra large plate). Overall, we’re extremely satisfied with this set. We were looking for an everyday dinnerware set that could hold up with use, but would also be nice enough for company and dinner parties.

Happily, this was it!.

Very disappointed! Food stains the cream color and silverware leaves marks on the plates. The plates chip very easily. I have found plates and bowls cracked in half in my cupboard. I concluded that the weight of the dishes must somehow cause this.

I only have 4 place settings. After only 15 months 2 salad plates and one bowl have cracked in half, several others are chipped. After 35 years and 3 children i still had all of my original Mikasa 12 place settings.

At the current rate these won’t last 5 years. Don’t waste your money.
