My painter complained about how cheaply made these are. The company says these are for masonry but the bolts they provided would not work. The metal bolts did not have paintable caps. I tried to return them to the local Walmart’s but they would not accept them.

The painters say they will have to charge me $60 to $70 for their time and additional materials to hang them properly. It makes no sense to buy these. Just get something locally. Now I’m worried because they have to drill a hole in one to hang my lighting fixture.

REPLACING ACTUAL 15 INCH WIDTH SHUTTERS. REVIEWED SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE NEW SHUTTERS AND IT STATES 15 INCHES. JUST RECEIVED DELIVERY TODAY AND IT STATES 14 3/4 INCHES FOR THE WIDTH ON THE BOX. NOT SURE IF THE 1/4 INCH WIDTH DIFFERENCE WILL MATTER WHEN I REMOVE OLD SHUTTERS.

I’M SURE MY ALUMINUM SIDING HAS FADED OVER THE YEARS. IT’S SAD THAT COMPANIES CANNOT PUT THE ACTUAL SIZE IN THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PRODUCT.

The only complaint I have is that the anchors are slightly cheaper plastic/composite then I would like and are easily misshapen, bent, and or broken when tapped into masonry. It would not be so bad if they included extras of the anchors to compensate for this.

The instructions said fast and easy installation. Nothing fast about it. You have to pull off heat shield to install. You have to go through this every time you need to check your air filter. You need a wrench.

It rattles because the front is a little loose. Spend the extra money and get the quick release/install Polaris box. Dont waste your money on this box.

First off, as others noted there were no instructions included. Since I’m pretty handy I decided to give it a go. The mitered corners had noticeable gaps once I fastened to the wall due to the type of materials used to hold the corners together.

It looked terrible even though I had trued everything up with tape measure and level. I decided to look up online instructions to get it right since it was really looking bad. >> Second try with instructions: Upon hanging the first shutter (with only the top of the frame mounted to the wall per instructions) the top left corner twisted from the weight of the shutter being hung, and then in a chain reaction the right corner joint blew out also as the left side dropped down — particle board frame now in shambles.

So I called customer service and the guy told me that blinds. com could do nothing for me because it was an installer error. He said he would be happy to connect me with a DC so I could repurchase and have them connect me with a professional installer, but they could not do anything else.

(Yeah I also had to ask him what DC means —Design Consultant”). So now I have two more sets of these sitting in boxes, and am truly regretting the purchase. So much for satisfaction guarantee.

Amazing product, amazing price and very easy to install. I purchased the faux wood shutters a while back and just received them. Delivery took a long time, but I was made aware of that from the beginning.

We got the delivery recently and I was immediately impressed by the product itself. I am not too handy, but I’m not a complete 0 with tools. I put them up myself(with a little assistance from the wifey) and it was very easy to install.
