20 Best Shrimp Marinade For Grilling (2023 Updated)

I love this marinade, I use it to make kabobs with red bell peppers and mushrooms, it has so much flavor and just thinking of it makes my mouth water! BUT it seems to be sold out just about everywhere I go now? I don’t know if its discontinued or not, which would be a huge bummer, considering this is one of the better marinades in my personal opinion to have come from McCormick in a long time!.

Love the herby, citrusy flavor! As with all McCormick marinades, FOLLOW THE RECIPE ON THE PKG! These were not intended to be dry rubs. I tried the variation but used key lime juice, olive oil & water, then marinated overnight in bag in fridge.

Best flavor when grilled. Nice change of pace from our fav Montreal Steak (again, be sure to follow that blend’s soy sauce & olive oil recipe on label).

I really enjoy the taste of the Brazilian steakhouse. I use it on my chicken or beef and it tastes just like a Brazilian steakhouse the only down side to this is it’s a bit salty in my opinion. Other than that, it’s great! Just add some olive oil.

Yoshida’s is the best gourmet sauce ever! I use it in so many ways, and everyone I have for dinner asks me what I used. I give it regularly as gifts to people that have asked, and they all rave about it! I’m not sure why it has been taken out of my club, but please bring it back! I was happy to find that you still have it online, but it would be better in the club! If you brought Yoshida’s back to the club and did sample testing, this product would sell better than most all of the other sample testings.

It’s fantastic! One of the most amazing things to make with Yoshida’s is sauteed mushrooms to top a grilled steak. I use two or three tablespoons of butter with about an equal amount of Yoshida’s. It’s lucky if the mushrooms ever make it to the dinner table as everyone is always dipping into them.

We always loved this sauce and purchased it for over 20 years; it was always available (86 oz bottle) inside Sam’s Club. About 2 or 3 years ago we could not longer find the sauce inside Sam’s Club. I use Mr Yoshida Gourmet sauce to marinate all my meats, seafood and vegetables. This is the one and only sauce I use. The flavor is amazing. I receive lots of compliments on how delicious my food tastes.

I couldn’t find this product at my local Walmart or Sam’s club so I ordered on the Walmart website. Delivery was free and shipment arrived in 2 days.

I’m not a huge fan of chicken but I will eat a shoe if its been marinated in this! It is one of my favorite seasonings to use during grilling seasoning. The flavor is nice and bold. Not too bitter or overwhelming.

It is perfect for chicken breasts and thighs. Theybstay moist and no sauce is needed to dip into for flavor. This has it!!.

Used this to marinate our split chicken breasts before grilling this Memorial Day and even my pickiest eater loved it!! Definitely a go-to from now on. (Prepared marinade by following package directions and placed 4 breasts split into a ziplock to coat evenly.

The name alone called out to me so I had to try it and I was not disappointed. The marinade is super easy to prepare. I set some aside and marinaded the chicken in the rest. I pan grilled the chicken and the smells were making me drool.

I made a monitor glaze with the marinade I set aside along with the pan juices I added some brown sugar, dark rum, I thickened it up and added some mint. The whole family was blown away with the flavours, chicken was so tasty and tender.

I wish I would have purchased a lot of packages rather than my one.

This has been my go-to marinade and seasoning for years now. It adds a beautiful flavor to chicken and beef wonderfully and makes beans taste hearty and savory. This enhances the flavor of everything and is one of the few marinades/liquid seasonings I like to keep in my fridge at all times.

I make “from scratch” marinades on occasion, and sometimes different recipes start tasting alike. Allegro tastes different to me. and delicious. It tenderizes meet nicely, and gives it a great flavor that I’ve been unable to match on my own.

So far we’ve tried it on beef and chicken. We bought the 6-pack because it was the best deal and we will use it all. Love the convenience of pouring out of a bottle.

These are a very cool concept. We are a household that does those subscription meal kits most nights and I’m always on the look out for fun, tasty meals the other nights. My fiancé and I love BBQ (we live in the south, it’s almost a requirement XD), so these seemed right up our alley.

The original was my personal favorite flavor and this one, Smokey Mesquite was my fiancé’s favorite. It was a bit too smokey for me personally but both were tasty. I made both with chicken and tried different marinading times with each.

For this bag, I followed the instructions of leaving it in the fridge for 30 to 45 minutes before grilling. Surprisingly, it marinated pretty well and the flavor was nice. I did take off a star because, as I learned with the second batch (along with general rules of marinades), it definitely requires more than just 30 minutes of marinating.

Even though the flavor wasn’t as strong as we like, it did have a nice amount that I was really impressed with for a quick marinade. I always suggest soaking the meat for a couple hours to overnight, however for those families who are in need of a last minute fun, delicious meal idea or possibly might be in a rush and need something right then and there, this is actually a really good option where you can get some good flavor and a great dinner in under an hour (which includes marinade and cook time, along with making the sides).

For the Smokey Mesquite, we had the grilled chicken, sour cream and chive mashed potatoes, green beans and honey corn bread. My fiancé wants me to get a few more of these since he wants to try some of the other flavors they might have and more of this flavor as he really loved this one.

Thanks to this campaign, we now have a favorite meal idea for those nights that we are on our own. .

Something I learned from my my mom is the importance of marinating your meats. The longer your marinade the more flavorful and tender your meat will be. I was super excited to be invited by Influenste’s campaign.

I chose to marinade wings and I personally prefer to let my meat sit for at least 24 hours. I was highly pleased with the results. We decided to grill the wings and they turned out moist and absorbed so much flavor especially the smoky mesquite.

After the sweet teriyaki marinade was such a hit (see my separate review on that), we couldn’t wait to try the original marinade with kabobs. My favorite part about this product is how simple the “process” is: put the meat in the bag and let it sit for 30 minutes.

That’s it! Not having to buy all the spices and measure it out is a huge convenience and time saver. Plus the flavors are incredible. The moment you open the bag, the aroma immediately makes you hungry and your mouth water!.

We used the marinade to prepare grilled kabobs with steak, mushrooms, sweet peppers, and pineapple. Our 3 year old ate all the marinated pineapple, our 5 year old ate all of her steak AND some of mine, and my husband made slow eye rolls as he enjoyed each bite and then sent a picture of the kabobs to several people.

I went to a bbq one time and I had to ask what their sauce was! It was Kona coast marinade grilling and they had used the paradise pineapple teriyaki on some pork chops, oh the juicy flavor is so good.

Tastes of pineapple and sweet seasonings. Definitely one of my favorites.

This is the first time using i never ever made teriyaki chicken before, and I was a hit with my family. They was so shocked that one it’s a new meal, two it’s was delicious. I was very pleased with the taste, the many recipes that I could use it in.

I would recommend highly to others abs continue to buy again and again.

Love this marinade for chicken. It’s the best I’ve tasted. They make a spicy version too that I like even better but it wasn’t available. The spicy is really very mild spice. I’ve checked the sodium on lots of marinades and this product is much lower then most.

It’s so good I don’t understand why it is so hard to find in grocery stores. Kroger and Safeway do not carry it anymore. It’s hard to find at a reasonable price. Walmart had the best price!.

I soak my chicken and salmon in this before cooking. Everyone comments on how delicious it is. I love the flavor, sprinkle a few other spices on before cooking and its always amazing. I’ve been using this for over 10 years.

My husband and I love this sauce. It’s the best teriyaki sauce in the world. I marinade steaks and chicken and this sauce and then throw them on the grill with large slices of pineapple and oh what a meal.

I’ve used this sauce for many years because I was able to purchase it in big box stores but not anymore so I have been ordering it online and so happy I can. I totally recommend buying this but please leave me some!.

This is my favorite sauce! I put it on chicken, hamburger, and steak. It enhances the favor and taste amazing. I get so many complements and there is never any leftovers. Thank you Walmart for allowing me to order it.

OMG I can’t say enough good about this. If you marinade chicken in this for at least 3-4 hours or just forget it as long as you want actually, you won’t regret it. It’s so juicy and tastebud overload in a good way! This literally is my favorite.

I have about 8 packs in the cabinet currently.

Honestly the best marinade-season there is for beef steak tacos, chicken and even shrimp. Something about the balanced salty-lime-tanginess, and it isn’t spicy at all which is amazing because I can use any spicy additive of my choice.

This is NOT the old Garlic Hoisin Sauce by Soy Vay. It tastes like the Soy Vay brand cheapened the sauce ingredients and added a lot more salt. The new Garlic Hoisin sauce tastes like the generic type of teriyaki sauce you could get for $1 at The Dollar Store.

The new sauce lacks the miso, peanut, carmel and sesame flavors of the old version. There is NOTHING special or likeable about this new version of the sauce. You could not recognize the flavor in an Asian dish as a Hoisin sauce.

Plus, it is expensive for the low quality that you get in the bottle. I returned it.

Always on the look for a better sauce I tried this stuff out years ago and its been in my arsenal of spice ever since. Good Teriyaki sauce is an elusive thing. Not too sweet, not to salty, the key is that when you take a bite that the food taste like something other than that meat marinated in soy sauce + sugar.

The way the flavors of the sauce come together and transform the meat into something greater than their component parts is key. Not all sauces, in fact not many sauces are capable of this. I’ve had some sauces that on their own tasted fine but were just not strong enough to impart their magic into the meat.

I had blown through at least a dozen different brands before I tried this one and on the first use knew I had a winner. Since then I’ve tried at least a dozen more, had some successes but as far as a general purpose sauce for Teriyaki flavor this is still the champ.

The flavor excellent, it’s not quite what you might taste at a Japanese Restaurant. Has its own character and flavor. The important thing is it is a good flavor and works the melding magic. It’s a sweet, tangy flavor with a side of sesame which gives it the unique character.

Its sweetness has an almost Mirin like quality and in strong concentrations is a bit too much for direct consumption. As a marinade for meats and veggies it is excellent. It does the obligatory tenderization as well as flavoring.

I’ve done beef, pork and chicken and it’s a winner on them all. I’ve also taken to using it as a drizzle on vegetables and rice. Its strong stuff so use it sparingly. On veggies it usually isn’t a problem as the extra rolls off, but if you flavor your rice with it be careful because you can soak up too much.

I really enjoy it on asparagus, it takes it to a new level. The value you get for the sauce is excellent, the quantity for the money is good. When you first open the bottle you need to mix it up as the sesame seeds all tend to float to the top.

Break it open with a chopstick and mix it around till you can shake it up. Refrigerate after opening and enjoy.

I use this for sautéing mushrooms. I cook fresh baby bella mushrooms in about 4 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil for about 20-30 minutes, adding salt and pepper after a couple minutes, then, when the mushrooms are nearly done (say, 5-10 minutes out), I add the marinade, along with a couple tablespoons of butter.

It’s the perfect addition that makes them so-ooooo yummy. I actually giggle every time I make them, they are so good.

This is the perfect marinade for grilling steaks. I usually mix it up and put it in a zippy bag with two small steaks and let it marinate in the frig for two days (Fri-Sun) for steaks on Sunday. Big problem – The stores and military commissary here in Cheyenne, WY have been out of stock for over the last month or no longer carried.

I hope this will not be discontinued. The liquid version isn’t as good. Highly recommended if you can find it.

We absolutely love the McCormick grill mates. This is one of those items you but once and it makes you loyal to that product. It’s not only fantastic on steak, It’s also tasty on burgers and especially roasts and beef stew, Kabobs ect.

I had never purchased in this size only the smaller sizes in grocery store. I decided to check Amazon and here it was at a great price. I ended up also purchasing the Chicken grillmates as well. I definitely recommend 5 stars and will purchase over and over.

If your looking for a seasoning that brings out great flavors in your meat look no further.

If your budget doesn’t allow for more expensive cuts of meat, but you love a good steak on the grill, this is definitely worth a try. I like to mix this up the night before and put a nice cut of sirloin in it and put it in the refrigerator.

Make sure you baste and or flip the steak a few times before grilling. Then I put it on the grill and cook it until its medium well. I like my steak a little pink in the middle. Then let it stand for about 10 minutes and when you cut into it you will find it to be more tender and a flavor that spices up any cut of meat.

Another way to use this is with a roast. I like to take a nice rump roast and again leave it in the fridge over night basting and turning it a few times. Then I put the roast and the remaining juice in the crock pot on low for about 4 hours.

I would love to try this, as onions make me sick. But I am on a budget and it appears that this cannot be purchased with an EBT / SNAP card (food stamps). It should not be that expensive nor hard to obtain foods free of certain ingredients.

It makes no sense to me, to sell items with fewer ingredients for a higher price. There are sheeple who gladly pay top dollar for special diet foods, organics, etc. but I am not 1 of them! I cannot afford it but even if I could, I would not want to be wasteful.

I wish that more brands (Campbell’s, Hormel, Progresso, Ragu, etc. ) would jump on the “low Fodmap” bandwagon and offer modestly / reasonably priced sauces, soups, stuffing, etc. Many people have gut disorders and a good number probably do not realize that certain triggering foods or other factors are involved.

I was surprised by this. It wasn’t amazing but, it was good on the ribs I cooked. I miss the tang of non fodmap bbq sauce but this is a good alternative.

My wife and I like to cook pork chops on the grill. We normally use our own seasoning, until one day I found this marinade in the store. Wow!! The flavor was INCREDIBLE!! I’m making sure I stock up on this item just in case it gets discontinued.

I have tried several kinds of mariande mix sold from this company, and this smoky applewood marinade was the best flavor. It’s not too spicy, or overwhelming. It adds natural great flavor that everone in the family loves.

I’ll never get tired of eating chicken cooked with this marinade.

I was expecting this to be thick sweet teriyaki sauce, but ended up realising it’s just normal soy sauce. Tastes good, good quality soy sauce, just not teriyaki.

I usually use packet sauces for my stir frys, but decided to try this for marinating the meat first. I wasn’t disappointed, just half an hour in it and then in the wok, marinade as well. It made the meat so tasty, and the marinade reduced a bit so it was slightly sticky.

This is a very special gourmet sauce and I am an awesome cook! It is a Japanese style marinade even if labeled Maui Marinade!! The flavor for stir fry bell peppers, green onions, mushrooms, chicken and pineapple is out of this world.

World harbours maui mountain teriyaki marinade and sauce is amazing to cook with. I love it best on chicken baked. Recently i tried salmon teriyaki with some vegetables in parchment paper all wrapped and baked ive even made it with shrimp!.

this stuff is disgusting. Coated a top loin and let it marinate in a vacuum container overnight. washed it off and sous vide it, only to taste a sickly sweet steak. i made a gravy out of the juice from the bag, butter, flower, water, beef better than bouillon, and milk.

it was maybe half an oz of juice, but overpowered the little over a cup of homemade gravy. it, too, was very sweet. never again.

Did you know this is a great roast seasoning? I put a pack on my roast- celery, carrot, onion, finger potatoes- if you’re into that. 1/4 cup water. Let it sit in the fridge overnight. Low and slow in the crock the next day.

I used a single use package of McCormick Grill Mates Brown Sugar Bourbon Marinade to prepare some boneless, skinless chicken breasts on my charcoal grill. There were 4 pieces of chicken and a couple of them were fairly thick on one end.

I placed the marinated chicken on the “cold side” of the grill with the thicker parts toward the “hot side” with the coals. Watched them carefully to get them turned at the right time. Took them off the grill and let them “rest” for about 5 minutes.

Wow! This chicken was really juicy and tasty! And it was so easy to prep the chicken by just pouring the contents of the marinade packet into a pyrex bowl to marinate for 30 minutes prior to grilling! There was enough of this dark brown, fragrant and thick marinade to season 4 pieces of chicken adequately.

No dried out, overcooked chicken!.

This stuff is super good. I regularly host dinner parties for my friends, and everybody is always asking for the chicken. This is my secret. It makes a really nice, juicy chicken that everybody seems to love.

This is by far THE BEST marinade I’ve ever bought. It is a constant in my pantry. It doesn’t take much time to flavor chicken incredible. I can leave it in a zip lock bag w/ the marinade for a few hours and its amazing! Usually chicken takes forever and is still bland.

It was very good. After marinating it overnight in the refrigerator, I checked the ingredients of the marinade, and finding them all safe, I baked my chicken in the full amount of the marinade, and it was delicious! Made the chicken drippings even more tasty!.

Was good, then they changed the ingredients and packaging and started charging more, unfortunately. It no longe rhas any ingredients in the sauce like their more expensive bottle. ait seems the more expensive bottle used to be this but then decided they could charge more so they did.

This is a great product for marinating chicken. It’s very intense and gives you that Teriyaki flavor that you so desire. Can use a small amount of water to thin product and steel receive that strong teriyaki flavor.

It’s okay but doesn’t actually taste like teriyaki sauce in my opinion. It’s not offensive or strong, but needs improving. I’ve tried this twice on raw chicken and it cooks easy enough. I’m looking forward to trying the highly recommended Lawry’s Teriyaki.

Love this marinade just cant find it at home any more, so ordered it here I am sure I will be a repeat customer. It took a little longer for shipping and was concerned about it freezing but received before the hard freeze.
