20 Best Shower Mat No Mildew (2023 Updated)

When I placed the mat down, I knew it was not going to work! The suction cups would not grab the shower floor no matter how I stepped down on the cups to get them to stay in place. I wanted a mat that was safe in the shower while I recover from foot surgery.

I found this to be dangerous as it moved all over while I showered. It is very comfortable on the feet, but NOT safe. It might have to do with the texture already on the shower floor for the reason it would not suction.

The floor has to be clean of any soap /dirt residue as well. With that done, it still would not stay in place. I removed it and am looking into getting shower slippers and see if that will work. Not for shower stalls that have a texture on the bottom.

I bought this to prevent slipping in my stall shower. The suction cups are strong. It does slide a bit when I’m showering but not enough to prevent access to the drain. After ea shower, I pick it up, let water run off & then let it dry on the built-in shower seat.

I also spray a daily Dow cleaner all over it & the shower ea day after shower. However it started to show an orange color after about 1 mo despite this. Tried cleaning it with scrub brush, Dow bath cleaner and Soft Scrub with Bleach & neither got the color out.

Don’t know if it’s mold. Finally, soaked it in bleach water and that resolved it. That’s my only disappointment. ,.

We ordered this mat after I slipped and fell in the shower. Ouch! We love the size of this mat, it covers most of the shower floor. It is shipped folded, the folds have not yet flattened out. I only wish there was a little bit more texture on this mat.

This is a good product as far as effective and comfortable standing on. However IF you choose color BLUE don not use in an RV vinyl/acrylic shower. We did and the Blue color transferred onto the shower floor.

Even after I aired it out for 2 weeks, through rain showers etc to lessen the smell. We have the same blue one for our home bath and its a porcelain tub so didn’t discolor.

This mat is silicone polymer-based & not natural or synthetic rubber – which is great. I ordered black because my previous mat was white and rubber-based. Rubber-based products will show any signs of mold/mildew in the form of black spots and mildew.

not so good. Silicone-based elastomers resist mold/mildew much better. It came on-time, was easy to install and provides very good slip-resistance. I recommend.

Tho a little smaller than what I wanted, this mat is a standard size square. It did flatten out readily by walking on it in the shower stall without having to run hot water on it first. Feels nice on my feet instead of the stall floor and should drain well enough that I will not need to pull it up after every shower.

Would have gotten 5 stars, instead of 4, if available in different sizes! I like the blue color!.

This mat is functional and as described, although not necessarily my personal favorite. It feels a bit more knobby on my feet than the traditional suction type mat, but not too terrible. Since, I was limited with mat choices because of the type of tile on my shower floor, I was happy to find this.

It works for the intended purpose and safety is my main concern.

Ihave ordered one of these before and they work great for a reglazed tub. However, I accidentally ordered a square one instead of the long one which is in the picture. So be mindful when you submit your order.

This is a difficult product to find–a non-slip bath mat that doesn’t stick to the surface or cause marks. Yet, this bath mat was perfect: pliable, easy to lay into the tub, very much a non-slip mat that made me feel comfortable standing in a slick tub, and easy to pick up, shake water off and roll up.

This is not a bad mat at all for shower use. It does come with instructions to make sure to wet the shower or tub before use so that the suction cups on the mat will adhere better to the floor during use, and when you do, it sticks very well, and is easy to pull up after use to hang to dry.

It’s fairly comfortable to stand on, although you can definitely feel the suction cups under your feet. It is easy to clean, and doesn’t hold water like some mats can. Just be sure to hang the mat with the suction cups facing up for easier and more thorough drying ability.

It also looks nice, and is easy to see any soap suds that may need rinsing off as it is a clear gray.

I actually purchased this for my big kitchen sink. My husband put in a sink the size of a double sink, but without the divider. I could never find a sink liner big enough to fit it, so I opted for the small bath mat.

I like this one because it has the big holes so when washing dishes, food does not get stuck under the mat and goes straight down the drain. The other reason is the mat is smoke gray and it looks superb with my new kitchen faucet.

It looks sharp as they complement each other. I’ve had many people compliment me on how well it looks. I gave it a five star because it works well with what I needed it for. I purchased three because the price was good and I can replace it when it wears out.

Last clear mat started getting filmy and wouldn’t clear back up so needed a new one. Looked for one with less holes and still clear and found this one. Great pick so far. Comfy to stand on and seems easy to clean.

Also decent coverage amount for my tub. Of course, it didn’t hurt that I had a discount as well.

This mat fit perfectly in our motorhome shower. It holds to the floor well and is comfortable to our feet. It stays firmly attached to the shower floor and offers peace of mind for reducing the possibility of feet slipping on a soapy shower floor.

When done showering, it is easy to rinse off. Plus the hole for the drain in the center of the mat provides a way to drape the shower mat over the water spigot to allow it and the floor of the shower to dry.

It is a good mat for the shower and we use it all the time. The suction cups really do work and hold to the tile flooring. I purchased this about a year ago and always remove it from the shower floor when showering is done and let it air dry.

However, it is not coated enough to prevent mold and mildew from happening. I did wash it in the washing machine with clorox, and I did spray it a couple of times with clorox but mold keeps happening.

It now looks dirty to me and so am ordering a new one! Am complaining to Easy Comforts. Again though, it is a really good mat for the shower.

As instructions mention, let some water get under the mat in shower before trying to put it on the shower floor and stepping on it. It took me a few minutes to get it to suction on the shower floor, as my feet kept sticking to the mat; guess because the mat was new.

it did finally suction almost 100%.

Bought this mat for our onyx shower with textured shower floor because the textured floor doesn’t do a very good job of preventing slipping while showering. There is a warning that this mat isn’t for our type of shower floor (most mats have this warning) but we bought this mat anyway because of the number of suction cups it has.

Much to our surprise and relief the mat firmly attached to our shower floor and it has been perfect for my safety, showering after my hip replacement surgery. I don’t know if the shower mat would work on all textured shower floors but if you’re having the same problem as we had with our shower floor, it’s definitely worth trying.

Love the product but BUY THE GREY ONE!!! It’s great to be able to “loofah” my feet without sitting on the floor of the shower. This “clear” version stained brownish almost immediately after I used it.

Not in an even way, but just in the lines where you’d rub your feet back and forth, which kinda made it even more gross. I’m a professional cleaner, and did online research for cleaning info, I washed it in the washing machine (still dingy), bleached it, soaked it, borax-ed it, did everything I could think to do in my cleaning hacks tool kit.

I even ran it through the dishwasher against my better judgement and it just stayed brownish in streaks and looked terrible. I have a glass shower door in the main bathroom so had to look at it (gross and stained!) every time I was in there, as did anyone who used my bathroom.

It might be fine in a bathtub where you’re the only one who ever sees it. That being said, I love this product and it’s otherwise great so I just replaced it with the grey one.

I’m a long-term, everyday user of this product. I’m writing today to let the readers know that I have not had the same negative experience with this product that some folks have compained about. First, the primary reason I bought this product was to prevent me or my wife from slipping in the bath tub.

It succeeds in filling that need better than anything else I’ve tried. This is the safest bath mat I’ve ever used. That being said, I have never experienced a problem with it not remaining in place in the tub nor have I ever had a suction cup come off.

And I’m a rather “hairy” male (except for my head. LOL) and have not experienced the build-up of hair some others have mentioned. However, I do agree that it should be rinced after each use and humg up to dry.

If you don’t do this it will discolor a bit over time. So if that bothers you buy a new one every couple of years. I highly recommend the product and encourage others to ignore the complaints. And yes, I will buy one again.

We tried to make this work, but I wouldn’t advise purchasing this mat. To begin, even when it was brand new I thought it looked dingy, but we were buying it for its non-slip properties, so I thought I could live with it.

As soon as you shower, EVERY little thing that washes off you lands on this mat and it is near impossible to rinse it out. So, after a day of gardening, I found myself literally trying to pick out bits and pieces of mulch and dirt, which seemed ridiculous.

Guests use this bathroom, so the last thing I want is for people to see ick and hair on my tub floor–how this wasn’t a design consideration is beyond me. Lastly, you cannot leave the mat on the tub floor to dry.

If you do, you will find that it begins to smell musty. I washed it, and we then tried hanging it to dry on a towel bar after each shower, but it still smelled. Seemed like a chore to have to wash our tub mat constantly, so in the garbage it went.

Total waste of money.

I bought 2 to fit in front of my shower and couldn’t be more pleased with them. Not only do they look beautiful and spa-like but no more damp bath rugs. (and my Pomeranian thinks my bath rug is a pee pad).

Problem solved! They are very well made and slip proof, too. Happy Dance!.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. It was everything promised, well made and very spa! It was delivered right away and really makes my bathroom look like a Japanese bathhouse! Love it.

The style is nice, but I wonder how the shiny finish will hold up, getting wet daily. Fingers crossed!

Arrives packaged in a roll so it takes a lot of effort to get it to lie flat in the bathtub – the suction cups don’t work super well individually though after stepping all over the mat it basically stays in place.

Does the job I guess, definitely decreases the risk of slipping. My main issue is the constant unpleasant rubber/chemical smell that I initially attributed to it being new, but it never seemed to wash away or decrease over time.

After a couple weeks I tried removing it to let it air/dry out, but the smell only seemed to get worse. I even placed it directly under an air purifier which didn’t help either. Finally had to get rid of it :(.

I love that it isn’t pokey, and that it works well in the bath tub. and it grips fabulously. My only critique is that it is small for a standard tub. I didn’t see toddler baby bathroom (who has those?) on the label at the time I ordered it.

Would have preferred a full length mat. But me and my husband love what this one provides. And the color is great!.

This mat is great – it’s quite a bit smaller than I expected based on the image which makes it look as though it takes up the whole tub. However, it does exactly what it says it will – prevent slips! This is the best option I’ve ever used for a slip-free bath mat.

I like that it doesn’t stick to the tub semi-permanently like the individual stick-on graphics. The suction cups work well and it’s easily cleaned.

I think this product is overpriced but in my opinion, anything Teak is overpriced. I purchased this item because my friend has a similar product. However hers is 10 times nicer but she had it custom made and paid more.

I thought the size is decent, I purchased it to use outside the shower to stand on when I towel dry. The wood is quite thin and doesn’t compare to what I had in mind. I am returning it to the store.

i love this clear, grey bath mat. it is very comfortable to stand on. I no longer need to worry about slipping in the tub as the mat stays in place with nice suction. it is easy to clean and dries quickly for the next use!! I would definitely recommend this durable mat to others.

This the worst Shower Mat I have ever purchased. It has an awful pungent smell and turns our white enamel bath brown if left in there overnight. I have tried washing it but no improvement is achieved.

Bought this bath mat due to the other mat that I had previously bought from somewhere else going all mouldy. Hope this mat lives up to no mould promise. Up to now it does.

Very Pleased with the anti mould bath mat so far compared to previous anti mould mats I have purchased this one seems to be living up to its standards .
