20 Best Shower Head For Massage (2023 Updated)

Recently found out that water was hard in my area. Getting a reverse osmosis system installed in entire house is little out in the future. Was looking for a quick fix option that will convert hard water to soft easily.

Found out from a friend that this shower filter is the best option available for the best price. After reading few reviews, decided to buy it. The shower head came nicely packaged, which was easily to remove.

Installation of the head was very easy. Just had to remove the existing head and replace it with this one. The filter comes installed into it that will work for 3 months. It filters the water impurities really well.

Have noticed a huge reduction in hair fall. Salt water stains have also reduced on the glass door. The water pressure could have been better. Its little bit weak and one needs to stand under the shower for longer time as compared to a stronger pressure shower head.

Overall a great product that I will definitely recommend for anyone looking to convert hard water to soft water easily.

We bought this filtered shower head in 2016. (Almost a year ago) Our water in the shower smelled like bleach and left film on the tub,shower walls, and us; as well as causing dried and itchy skin and scalps! Since day one the water no longer smells of chlorine (bleach) and leaves no residue behind.

It also has over performed in lasting almost a year! We did remove the filter, rinse, flip it to the other side, and replace it after 6 mos. or so. This is EASY to install! Anyone can install and put it together! We removed the flow restrictor ring as the instructions said we could.

Great water pressure, consistent! Less hair loss in the shower also, and does not dry out skin. We were skeptical, but after praying about it decided on this one! Thank God for it! Also no more burning nose, red eyes,and coughing from heated chlorine vapors! If you have allergies, skin irritations, etc you should try this shower head.

It also comes in handheld. Also it does not get dirty or dingy at all!!! Low maintenance= every 6 mos remove , rinse, and turn filter to other side. Once a year reorder and replace filter with a new one.

Though the Culligan WSH-C125 shower head looks and feels somewhat cheap from the use of plastic in its construction, it delivers as promised with a variety of spray patterns and a filtration system that removes minerals from hard water.

Selecting a spray pattern is also much easier than with the previous shower head. Plus, it was simple to install. (The instructions claim that it can be installed without tools, but you might want to rethink that.

).

An excellent shower head. A good variety of nozzle selections. Not hot tub pressure but plenty for a single shower head and getting shampoo washed out and shower walls sprayed down. Hope the easy-cleaning directions for the nozzles work.

The setup and installation for this item was very easy. The instructions were very easy to follow. The massaging features of this item are great. With the pause feature, it greatly reduces water consumption, yet allowing some water to flow so you don’t freeze while pausing.

The various shower options are great. We are very pleased with this item.

I LOVE This thing. I look forward to coming home and showering now after work. The pressure is glorious and I feel like I’m getting extra clean in addition to getting a quick back or foot massage. can be a little painful on ears and faces though if you don’t remember to change settings.

I personally just leave it on the highest one because yes.

So far, so very good, massage setting works well at lower water pressure, which is why I bought it. My apartment building switched from a two handled faucet to a one handle making it hard to get good water pressure and temperature at the same time, making my old shower head less effective.

This shower head gave some power back to the massage. To get the full pulsing effect you will want to hold the massaging head over a foot away from targeted body part. Some assembly required. The shower head hose came assembled but you will want to remove the hose and plumber’s tape at the joints at the head and base and re-tighten.

Follow the directions and clean your threads of your plumbing and add plumbers tape where you mount to your plumbing. I had small leak after so added an additional washer, which I would suggest doing right away to protect the washer with the aerator that it comes with, now it works great.

We love this showerhead. I creates more pressure than our previous showerhead of a different brand. This one has options, to easily adjust the desired pressure. Knowing it saves water is the reason we purchased it, but we like it much better than the more wasteful ones we’ve owned.

I love this shower head! It gives you the same pressure as my previous shower head all while being cost-efficient and saving water. I have a few mobility issues on some days and a home color my hair.

This is perfect for both! There are multiple settings and for versatility. My hair color is out so quickly and the pulse mode helps to ease my aching muscles and joints. Do yourself and don’t pass this one by! It comes with everything you need except a wrench.

I would also advise getting a waterproof pipe tape which is inexpensive, to prevent any drips where it is installed, but that is standard for and shower head. Enjoy!.

Sleek design, very lightweight & VERY easy to install – most connections require hand tightening only. Only one connection to the pipe coming out of the wall required simple channel lock pliers which took literally about 10 seconds to accomplish.

Spray settings are easy to adjust using the ring on the showerhead. There are only five “official” settings (there should be more) but I quickly discovered that it is easy to get at least two additional, useful settings simply by moving the adjustment ring between clicks.

Overall, highly recommended. Note; On some settings the sprays are slightly high pressured. Take note if you or someone in your family has extremely sensitive skin.

This thing is very powerful when used direct (without a flow limiter or filter). I hate low-flow shower heads (they are so annoying it will wreck your whole day). Since this one is a superbly designed high-flow, make sure and buy a separate $10 flow control valve that attaches to the base of the shower head, between the head and the hose.

Without a thumb-slide flow control valve NO powerful / high-flow shower is good, ever, and period. You might as well buy a $2 shower head without one. I used to work for high-end rental properties so i got to install and test ever different type of low-end to high-end show head there is.

WaterPik is one of the top two oxgenating shower heads and my favorite brand by far. Wish they were USA made but that’s my only gripe (i don’t think the other brand i like is made in USA either though).

I do love the low price though, so maybe that’s the trade-off. This specific model is now my favorite shower head ever. Would be nice if they made it in a 7 or 9 spray model, but then the selector switch would probably reduce flow; so it might not be possible to have it all – good pressure and more spray patterns.

What sets this one apart is the very wide and narrow pattern options. The better engineering design is the older WaterPik flow control built in at the base with the 12 spray selector in the head. That way you don’t have to buy a separate flow control valve.

Also, the mist pattern is what i would call the oxygen type needle-spray, when used on highest flow. This is what really gets the body-odor off, when i don’t have a ton of time to keep lathering and rinsing.

There are many bad shower heads out there, a few good ones, but this one is the only one i keep coming back to for amazing hair washing and great skin cleaning!.

It took a while to review this shower head because I wanted to make sure the whole family had a chance to give it a try. (We have 2 bathrooms and I had to talk my daughter and son-in-law to use the family bathroom for a few showers).

There are 6 of us, 3 kids and 3 adults. For myself, I love the way this shower head sprays, there are 5 sprays and truthfully, the shampoo spray is my favorite, not just because I actually feel like the shampoo/conditioner is being rinsed out the way I like it, but because it feels good on my body.

It’s easy to change the sprays, just turn the knob. My last shower head you had to grab the head to turn it, it was stiff and awkward with soapy hands. The massage spray is nice too but I just prefer the shampoo setting.

The kids really like it too, they said it feels like they’re taking a shower in the rain. They actually had discussions over who got to get in the shower first, usually it’s a fight to who gets to be last.

The other two adults have also had a chance to use it and now want me to switch. They got the old handheld that I replaced and they can really tell the difference. They both especially like the massage feature.

The shower head at first looks big and not easy to hold, but it’s actually very comfortable in your hand and the hose is long and light weight. My last hose was stiff and had to be unwound to use it in a position other than hanging off the wall.

It’s so much easier to use to rinse down the shower and walls after everybody is done and truthfully I also use it to rinse the toilet after cleaning because it right next to the shower and the hose is flexible enough to do that.

I can clean the toilet and rinse rather than having to keep flushing. I haven’t used it to wash the dogs yet, but that’s coming and again the hose length will make a much simpler job of it because I can get right under and over the dogs without scaring them.

I don’t know yet if this shower head is publicly available, but I’m going to look for it so I can buy one for our second bathroom and one for my sons house. Oh and in California, I guess we’re limited in how many gallons per minute a shower head can emit.

It does not feel like it’s at all restricted, you get a very good steady stream of water and it feels good. It was easy to install, I did it in maybe 5 minutes max. All in all, just a great product.

I have had this Waterpik HairCare+ with PowerPulse for a few weeks. It is easy to install and comes with all the parts needed to swap out the sprayer and use right away. I have not had any problems and I like the adjustable settings.

The powercomb settings are great for detangling and rinsing hair as well as cleaning the shower and I love the anticlog nozzles. We have well water and it is so easy to keep this sprayer clean and unclogged.

My family has been enjoying this sprayer and we would repurchase.

While I LOVE the shower head, its awesome, the bar is nice, i would have preferred metal for the ends. My biggest annoyance was there were no gaskets to seal the ends against the tile. I used kerdi fix to seal around the screws which went into the STUDS, IMO it would be a bad idea when using kerdi board to try to just affix the screws into that as it would hold nothing.

Then I put more kerdi fix around the screw just before tightening it down to make SURE all was sealed water tight! Why Grohe did not think this would be an issue is beyond me as you absolutely do not want water leaks in a shower wall.

I also am not nuts about the plastic water hose as the ends don’t rotate. For this money they should have included a metal hoseline. I will just have to purchase one. I do like the knurled hose ends though as it makes it very easy to screw the end onto the shower head tightly with your fingers.

This is a good quality shower, made in Germany, at a reasonable price. The main issue which lets it down is the hose, which is grey plastic ‘garden hose’ type, and quite stiff, and only gets marginally more flexible with hot water flowing.

This hose is quite long, so for a wall mounted mixer tap the ‘drip loop’ looks OK and the calcium build up in this area would be easy to clean on the smooth hose. For a bath tap shower attachment, this hose is way too long, and even though just a plastic hose, the end fittings are swaged on so can’t be cut to length.

The rail itself is very sturdy, and supplied with decent size stainless steel screws and wall plugs. The instructions do show gaskets for the tiled surface for the rail mount posts BUT there’s a picture of the package with a X.

which presumably is a long way of showing NOT SUPPLIED ! The hollow design of the rail support posts does not block water from running into the them and towards the wall, so without the gasket, it’s best to seal the posts to the tiled wall with silicone.

The 3 spray shower head has a narrow jet spray, and two more gentle wide spray patterns, but these two are so similar as to be no different, except one makes a slightly louder hissing noise. It’s supposed to aerate the water, but not enough to notice.

The rubber nozzles look good quality, nice & firm, not flimsy, so should last a long time ( I’ve seen some others which get eroded away over time). In summary, a nice kit for the price, but if used for a bathtap attachment, you’ll probably end up wanting to buy a better hose to make it look as nice as the rest of the kit.

Very pleased with this shower kit. East to fit and able to adjust where the fixings go so could use the same fixings positions as previous shower rail. Had to find shorter screws as the ones supplied where too long for my setup.

Very smart and like the smooth hose. Kit works very well with good spray. Three spray settings although two are so similar difficult to tell apart. Very pleased with this purchase.

Beware of the plastic threads that attaches to your shower spigot. No matter what you do to adjust or tighten, it WILL LEAK. The rubber washer O-ring will suck up inside the pipe due to the swivel model.

meaning, it will either spray water out the swivel if not tight enough. or if tightened more, than the washer will push up inside the shower supply pipe. THIS is a poor design where it’s too slim and not enough washer (rubber) space to seal.

PLEASE fix , otherwise I would really enjoy the functions of the shower head. -27 yrs experience.

In general, for such an amount of money, I am satisfied with the product. Easy mount it using attached clear Instructions Manual, which is a rarity these days. Very good, useful spray Selector function.

As always there are small BUT – the hose turned out to be shorter then I expect and more rigid than I thought. When there is a lot of pressure in the system, the plastic joints of the parts of the flexible shower let water leaking, but this does not affect the operation of the flexible shower as a whole.

I thought this would be perfect until the second day I used it. It has a lighter shower head that is easier to use. I don’t use all the settings. Now it turns itself in the bracket toward the wall. I have tried and tried to push it into the bracket tighter but to no avail.

It is aggravating to use. Unfortunately I misplaced the reciept so I will buy something else.

It was nice but trying to change sprays the water hits you in the eyes and it can turn the hand wand on and cold water comes out. It would do better in a larger shower than mine to avoid this. With that being said it is a good sprayer and simple to install especially for inexperienced ladies like me.

Pros: very easy to install, no tools possible just hand tighten; water stream are better than the original Teledyne Waterpik model from 1990s; light weight vs original 1996; hose is stiff but softer vs the original 1996; shower settings more logically arranged, base shower is one end, off the other not like the original; easier to adjust while showering natural plastic color will not discolor or come off like painted on chrome or stainless Cons thinner plastic than 1996 model not how long it will last.

This has a decent weight to it and doesn’t feel like cheap plastic. The hose may be kinked when taken out of the package but will return to its intended shape soon. The “off or dribble” feature was quite surprising to see.

All in all, I bought a Waterpik for my house in 1997 and I’m still using it and this one surprised me with the same quality almost 25 years later.

We have had 3 Waterpik hand held showers over several years (about 20). They work very well until minerals from the water start building up in the ports. We don’t care for the newer style bracket that holds the shower head by the hose connection to the handle.

We continue to use the bracket that came with our first Waterpik. It holds the showerhead about halfway up the handle, which is far more secure than the new style. The shower head cannot fall out of the old bracket.

I’m 5’10” and the wall mount in my shower is 6’ high. It’s a small shower, so to get under the original shower head I have to bend my knees. I found this and it’s awesome. I can position it nice and high so I can stand right underneath it.

I like a strong water spray, and it has a really good one. This is perfect for taller people, and those that like different types of shower sprays. Good quality shower head. Highly recommend this product.

The new Waterpik power pulse massage rain shower head looks good and is simple to install but, it lacks the intense water pressure of other Waterpik products. It has 6 spray settings with Waterpic’s optiflow technology system but just does not deliver what I am used too.

My previous rain shower head (also a Waterpik) uses 2. 0 GPM of water and on all settings it is invigorating when the water hits your skin. The new power pulse massage shower head uses 1. 8 GPM of water and is weak when it hits your body.

I take a 10 minute shower, so with my previous shower head I use 20 gallons of water every time I shower. With the new power pulse massage shower head using 1. 8 GPM I use 18 gallons of water every time I shower, but it takes another minute or so to completely rinse off.

When I do the math the new shower head uses the same amount of water but does not give you that same invigorating feeling. I put my old shower head back on to use and will save the new shower head for when new regulations go into place forcing me to use a 1.

I replaced our existing 2. 5 GPM showerhead with this one. My wife wasn’t excited about it as she liked the high flow rate of that shower. Since we live in Southern California and I pay the water bill, I changed it anyway.

I was expecting to take a hit on the performance side, but was pleasantly surprised with the amount of water flow and feel of volume. Whatever technology Waterpik used to design this was pretty spot on.

There is a lag as you turn on the shower where the water fills whatever channels are used to generate the overall feeling of a higher volume shower head, but once it is going Several seconds, it works great.

At almost 3/4 gallon less per minute than our old shower head, I am quite pleased with value and performance. I would buy this again if I had to do it over.

This is a very nice and powerful water efficient shower head! Installation is super fast and easy and the 6 settings are super fast and easy to move through. I love the water saving trickle setting and can only imagine the gallons of water this setting alone will save over the course of a year.

The Powerpulse massage settings deliver great water force – you would never know this is a water efficient product when using those settings. The shower head tilts and adjusts easily to accommodate varying heights as well.

I used this shower head to replace an older model. Installation was quick and did not require tools. The hose was helpfully labeled to indicate which end attaches to the showerhead and which end attaches to the wall.

The showerhead has 6 settings, from a very focused and intense stream to a more traditional flow. In between are several pulsating streams as well as combinations (focused with traditional flow at the same time for example).

I actually find the most intense setting useful for when I clean the shower. The focused streams of water are great for rinsing the shower tile and glass. All in all, it works well even with my low California water flow.

This is a very nice shower head. Water volume/output is great. Shower/massage settings are also really nice, and gives a wide range of choices. Finish of shower head is also very nice. Installation is quick, easy and no leaking at joints.

My only issue with this is the vinyl hoses. While not really the fault of this product I find the vinyl hoses a bit of a pain as they kind of keep their bends when hanging out in the shower, while it does improve with use, they just aren’t as nice and easy to use as the stainless hoses I have on other waterpik shower heads.

If that isn’t really an issue for you, this is a great shower head.

I like the PowerPulse massage feature on this unit as it really does help loosen the tight muscles in my neck and shoulders. I am a 60 year-old female and had no trouble at all installing the unit. The full-body spray is okay, though I would prefer it provide just a bit more pressure – I chalk it up to a water-saving feature.

My only complaints are that the entire thing is made out of plastic and I am concerned about how long it will hold up; also, I know the 5-foot hose is pretty much the norm for a handheld showerhead, but I need a longer one to bathe my dogs (this one doesn’t reach far enough).

I ended up buying the 8-foot hose that is also sold by WaterPik and had no problem swapping them out. Overall, it’s a great unit for the price.

It really increased the water pressure in the shower. However, after 4 attempts with plumber’s tape there was still a very minor drip from the attachment thread area. It’s livable though and much better than the previous shower head.

And the price made it worth accepting the odd drip.

Product fit great! It was super easy to install and worked perfectly! I can feel a huge difference in the water pressure. I cant believe it was so inexpensive.

I had read other reviews of this 1. 5 GPM adjustable shower head and they ranged from poor to excellent. I was concerned that the water spray from this head would not be sufficient in its’ ability to remove soap/shampoo.

In addition, I wanted a shower that left me satisfied with the force of the spray. I must say that my concerns were removed after my first use. I hope that the head continues to perform as it did for the first use.

Although the treaded attachment portion is metal, the main body and spray parts appear to be plastic. It looks well, but only time will tell if it will hold up as metal would. I surely hope so.

Good quality and does a lot of functions. I had a cheaper electric shower brush before and used it almost everyday. This one can be used as a shower head as well; however it’s only worth buying because you get both options instead of having to buy two separate ones.

I bought this tool so that I could reach my back during shower. It works fine but not as I expected. It takes a long time to charge, and it’s really annoying when it stops spinning in the middle of a shower.

It may be good for some people, but seems unnecessary for me.

I got a 3-way adapter so that I can keep my rainfall showerhead. This is a great liitle tool for home spa. Very convenient and fun to use in the bath or shower. The heads are easy to change out. My husband likes it too!!.

I’ve had this showerhead for a little over 2 months now and I have been very pleased with it. This is the lowest-flow showerhead I’ve ever used, and at first I was afraid it wouldn’t put out enough water to get the shampoo out of my hair, but actually I can’t really tell much difference in flow compared to the 2.

5 gpm one I was using before this, and it still gets me clean. In fact, it even solved the problem I was having with water leaking out through a loose shower door. Installation was super-easy–I just removed the old one and screwed this one on with no problems, and I didn’t even need plumber’s tape.

Yes, it is plastic, but I don’t think it’s too noticeable, and it seems sturdy enough. I do wonder how durable it will be because it was so cheap, but I haven’t had any trouble with it so far and I figure for $8 it isn’t the worst thing in the world even if it does break.

I’ve been recommending it to all my friends and family (who probably think I’m insane for getting so excited over a showerhead), especially since I live in California and we’re in the middle of the worst drought in ages.

So if you’re looking to save some water (and some money), I would definitely recommend this little showerhead, and I would 100% buy it again myself.

I work at a major university in California where water use is not only crucial, but regulated by the city. We have tried several showerheads over the years, some were so bad that we would get maintenance tickets from tenants thinking the showerhead was actually missing.

These showerheads provide excellent spray coverage for the gpm, they also seem to be very durable. When you have to buy dozens of showerheads at a time the price becomes important, and the Niagara can’t be beat for quality/price/functionality.

I only use the normal shower spray setting. The water comes out in a circular pattern, none from the center unless switched to pulse. No clogged holes. Nice spray from shower head, hits the body with just the right pressure.

Pressure seems constant even if I have handle set to full. Does seem to save water.

This is a wonderfully product to help save on water and water heating bills. I have a tankless hot water heater that produces unlimited hot water on demand, but it runs off of propane that has to be refilled.

By cutting my water consumption from 2. 5gpm to 1. 5gpm I expect to save big time on my propane bill as my hot water is the primary use for the propane! You can notice the difference in the volume produced by this head, but you also realize how little time you actually spend under the shower head and how much water is just running down the drown while you are just soaping and lathering.

Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone! Very nice looking shower head too! We had similar shower heads when I was in college that I feel may have been a bit better pressure wise, but for $10 I am not complaining because I’ll save that much in propane alone on my next refill!.
