20 Best Shower Head For Dogs (2023 Updated)

My dog has high anxiety and truly hates bath time. I got this hoping the experience would be both easier for me and less traumatic for him. This product is a win on both accounts. It allowed me to thoroughly soak and rinse him with a precision I have not been able to achieve previously.

And while he still wasn’t a fan of the experience, he was significantly less bothered, to point where I was able to be more thorough in the bath while managing to complete the process in less time than would normally be required.

That said, I have to agree with several other reviews. Just go ahead and plan on getting a metal diverter. The one that is included is plastic and in my case, broke during initial installation. This rendered the shower head inoperable and unable to be reattached but allowed the pet wand to still be functional.

Took a star off because unlike others with the same problem, I didn’t get a chance to use it before it broke. I am going to say that I would recommend it but only with the caveat that you really need to buy a metal diverter simultaneously.

My 40lb border collie mix isn’t much of a fan of bath time. Before I was using a very large cup to get her wet and to rinse her off. This wasn’t the best thing to use because it was strenuous and didn’t work very well.

I think my pup enjoyed the bath too because of the nice water pressure from the wand. I switched it to the lower, more gentle pressure setting when rinsing her belly and more sensitive areas. It made bath time much faster since it got her coat wet much faster than a cup.

It also helped loosen up any undercoat she was shedding too! Overall, this item is awesome and I’m so excited to use it more for future bath times!.

I’ve seen plenty of poorly constructed dog washers that attach to your bath/shower system and am thrilled to have stumbled on this one. It’s easy to install, works wonderfully without leaking and makes bathing our dogs in the tub so much faster and so much easier.

No more kneeling in front of the tub to scoop water for wetting and rinsing, no more schlepping to the dog wash place to rent a tub. Bathing at home is usually a back breaking chore that I dread and stall.

Did all three today (German Shepherd, Australian Cattle Dog and a doxie/terrier mix) in under an hour and with no groaning or straining. The shape of the wand is great for soaking/rinsing the chest and belly area.

The stream is strong, making wetting and rinsing fast and easy. I find it easier to turn the water off at the tub rather than turning the wand to off, but that’s just me. Sooooo love this.

I have both styles of pet wands and loved the first one but the flow trigger broke. The new design looks more functional its a bit bulkier than the original which can be gotten used to. The real difference is the water pressure the simpler model has better water pressure and really helps loosen shedding dog hair and and slightly massages as well.

The new model is always a gentle rain that can be reduced further but you never get the same pressure. I would not recommend for dogs with long hair. If your pup is sensitive to higher water pressure and has short or smooth coat it should work fine.

I’ve tried out both models on my hair as well and this model does not get the soap out as quickly or act as a nice water brush like the older model.

Meh. I wanted to love this but it needs more work, in my opinion. The idea is great but when hooked up to our spout in the tub, it gathers so much water in the silicone piece (that goes around the spout) And pops off, getting water everywhere.

If you don’t put it on just right on the shower head, it does the same thing. When it popped off it got water everywhere, scared my dog and the story goes on and on, I’m sure you know how it went. Anyways.

Great concept, just not right for us.

My dog does not enjoy bath time, to say the least. She is afraid of the noise of the showerhead and constantly tries to jump out of the tub. I have had to use cups or buckets of water to rinse her all the while holding her in the bathtub to stop her from jumping out.

This hose attachment was so easy to put on my showerhead and does not make any additional noise that would startle my dog. It has freed up my hands and makes bath time quicker. I highly recommend this hose!.

By far the best dog wash kit I have owned (and I have tried most of them) The water brush is amazing. Love that I can flip the shield down and keep the water on my dog and not have water spraying everywhere.

Flipping the shield up is even better because I can really penetrate my dogs thick coat. The shower diverter is both metal and plastic but is metal in all the places it should be. Making it durable but not cheap.

The hose is plenty long, strong and seems very durable. Much better than hoses from previous dog wash kits I have owned. The suction cup holder is a nice little bonus because you can store the shower brush on the diverter or on the suction cup holder.

The suction can easily be moved around until you find your sweet spot. Kit also comes with plumbers tape and super easy to follow directions with good pictures. They really thought this through and I appreciate that is a small business from the USA.

You don’t see that much anymore.

This is an absolutely fantastic product all around. It was easy to install and works extremely well. I have a corgi and it can be difficult to get his full coat wet (especially the butt fluff) but the rubber brush on the head makes it simple and fast.

The flow of water is gentle enough to not bother my dog; he actually relaxed and seemed to enjoy being washed. It makes bath time so much easier! I’m also impressed by how neurodivergent-friendly the installation instructions are.

The directions lay out the process one step at a time with pictures (actual photographs) and a written description, and there’s a video tutorial online. I struggle with the weird little drawings most assembly manuals come with so this was a pleasant surprise! I thought it would be intimidating or hard to install but it wasn’t at all.

Fell apart after 3 or 4 uses. The cheap metal hose coil unraveled quickly after I started using, then the rubber hose inside started leaking. Train wreck. The parts that look like metal are really plastic.

It’s just crazy to me that nobody can make anything well anymore!! Make something quality, charge a few bucks more, people will buy it. sheeeesh. This thing is a bunch of plastic junk. However, I will say that Chewy.

We purchased this sprayer because we wanted a hand-held shower head that could be turned on and off as needed. This seemed like it would meet our requirements perfectly. Alas! The magic “on/off” switch is no more than a diverter, just as on all the other products that are labeled more correctly.

When the switch is turned to “off”, the water comes out of the main shower head. Although it didn’t matter to us, the hose itself is quite small in diameter and so the water flow would be less than we are accustomed to with our current hand-held shower head.

The plastic looks and feels “cheap”.

I love this product. I ‘ve used one for many years to bathe my dogs. It finally broke and I could not find one comparable to it in any of my hardware stores. So, I checked with Bed, Bath and Beyond on line.

It’s a great product; so convenient. However, I did have to put a little bit of plumbers tape around the washer between the sprayer and the hose. No big deal. It was worth every penny.

The place where I washed my dog became to expensive so I looked around for this style of shower for her baths. Was not sure looking at the picture looks a little cheap, though made of heavy plastic and hose is good 6ft in length reaches all around the tub.

The on off switch is right at your thumb does not get slippery when soapy easy quick grab and rinse. The metal fixture on the shower is even nice wont break, popping the hose on and off is easy as well.

Liked the way they worked. It is chromed plastic, which is fine since many high quality shower heads are now manufactured this way. It is also much lighter than metal ones (which I first evaluated. not better and more expensive) so if you put this on the end of an extension arm, it will work well.

My little dog HATES baths. This shower wand allows me to bathe her more quickly, thoroughly rinses the shampoo off. And I like that I can turn it on and off with one hand. When you have a slippery little dog who is trying desperately to escape the tub, these features are necessary.

We have a lab-shepherd mix, and giving him a bath at home is always an ordeal. We like this dog shower because it makes it easier to wash him outside, creating less mess in the home. The brush bristles on the shower head make it easier to get shampoo to the base of his thick coat.

He likes the feeling of the bristles, too, which is an added bonus.

If you have an existing shower head that you want to keep – but you want to add on a handheld sprayer for the dog – this is perfect!! It took minutes to add the t-connector and put the original shower head back on.

The connector looks great with the existing shower head – i. e. you don’t even notice it. Then it is simple to quick connect the sprayer. Has all the features I was looking for – the ability to stop the flow of water with the sprayer and the ability to choose different sprays.

Price seems very fair for what you get.

Have had to purchase twice & have come to the conclusion that it is not for me! About every 4 months it stops letting u turn it off with the switch on the handle u have to turn the whole shower off everytime u need to scrub down ur pooch.

Which makes it annoying to get the water back to an acceptable temperature again. So then after putting up with that for a few more months it starts to gush water out of the part that attaches to the shower.

Instead of letting the water go to the showerhead, it sprays all over the floor. BOTH HOSES I’VE PURCHASES DID THE EXACT SAME THING. Each only lasting about 6 months. Ill find a different hose but the next few baths will be difficult.

I wish I had bought this Rinse Ace a year ago during the start of the Pandemic. My dog has had a skin condition and I’ve been using warm buckets of water in the bathtub during the winter which is just about impossible to do.

Rinse Ace has made the entire bath a happy relaxing one. SO easy to install with my regular shower head. No leaks at all! And I easily unsnap for my own shower. It’s quiet, it’s easy to use and long enough to reach under my golden retrievers belly.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not include enough parts for the spray nozzle to work properly. Fortunately. the maintenance man at our complex had extra washers — one was missing. Also another resident had the strength to turn the new aerator onto the faucet.

It’s basically a good product. It just needs to be tweaked a bit. I will get much use not that it’s “fixed”.

I have two dogs with itchy scratchies that are alleviated by regular bathing. washing their tummies was not fun. This amazing little doohickey attaches to my bathroom sink and is long enough to reach the bathtub.

It has made mine and my dogs’ lives SO MUCH EASIER. Coincidentally, one of my lovely little meatballs decided to rip out one of her teeth a little over a week ago and the vet showed me how to flush it out to keep it clean while it heals so that I didn’t have to drive out to their office every day.

I don’t know how I would do it without this thing. The ONLY reason it didn’t get 5 out 5 stars from me is because the part you put on your bathroom faucet that stays on there drastically narrows the stream of water coming out of the faucet.

It also causes the water to shoot out much more aggressively which is able to be adjusted by barely turning on the water, so that at least I can just change my ingrained habits, but I can’t do anything about the narrow water stream.

What I get in return for that small inconvenience is so much more valuable though. Really maybe the most useful thing I’ve bought for my animals ever.

After comparing at a few alternative sprayers from Rinse Ace and other brands, I opted for the 3 -way offered from chewy. com. I have a separate tub and shower in my bathroom so a shower sprayer would not reach to the tub.

I also wanted to have my puppy’s feet soaking while bathing him. The laundry room sink seemed the best place for his bath. The Pet sprayer was super easy to attach to a laundry room sink due to the provided adaptor with internal and external threads.

I removed the aerator, attached the adaptor, and twisted in the shower head. I love the 3 different sprayers! After stuffing cotton balls in my pup’s ears, and smearing the sides of the sink with peanut butter, I used the gentle spray for the initial soaking down of my puppy’s body and head (only after checking the temp.

was right). The thumb control makes it easy to turn the sprayer on and off. After lathering him up thoroughly, I used the direct concentrated sprayer to thoroughly remove all traces of shampoo. After using a bucket previously to remove shampoo, I missed some spots which caused my puppy to itch.

With this sprayer, all traces are removed so no more itchy skin. After the bath, I removed the sprayer and rolled it into a a bucket along with the shampoo to store under the sink. Added bonus: I like how the adaptor aerates the water flow from my utility sink without the sprayer.

Overall it works great with the overhead shower attachment but when I moved apartments and had to take it off, I got stuck pretty badly! I couldn’t unscrew no matter how I tried. The shower head attachment is made of cheap plastic not metal so it has moulded itself on either sides.

Very disappointing. Now I’m left with a useless hose and potentially won’t get part of my deposit back. It had a good run though.

Just completed my second bath with the Aquapaw and our anxious 50 lb mix. It’s seriously the best bath tool. I saw some people had issues with leaking, and we’ll see how durable it is, but what worked for me was to use a couple layers of the included Teflon tape on all three plumbing joints when installing the diverter.

I wrapped a towel around the plastic parts before tightening it with a wrench – gently so as not to crack the plastic. After all of that, when the water was diverted to the Aquapaw and its button was off – the situation with the most pressure in the system – I still had a tiny jet of water coming out of one joint.

I wrapped a bit of electrical tape around it, and now it doesn’t leak at all. Our method is to put a stopper in the tub and let about an inch of water collect during the first part of the bath, to help get grime out from between her toes – the Aquapaw works well on her paws though too.

Halfway through the bath, we pull the stopper and put in a Tubshroom (the chrome kind – seriously amazing for collecting hair – just make sure to let it air out between baths so it doesn’t get mildewy).

Grace doesn’t jump happily into the tub, but she seems to be more okay with the Aquapaw than the previous method of pouring cups of water over her. It certainly works far, far better and faster for getting her belly clean, and also makes cleaning up the tub afterward a breeze.

Paired up with a lick mat, some Kong cheese spray, doggie shampoo, and a washcloth for cleaning her face, and we are all set for calm, efficient baths! Our final bathtime accessory is a bathrobe for her to wear after the bath so she doesn’t get the couch damp.

The only issue I have is that when I click the button on, it often just does a pulse rather than staying on. That might be on purpose, and I just have to figure out the right way to click it so it stays on.

Aquapaw has been a game-changer. Baths for my dogs used to be messy, long, inefficient, back-breaking, and the dogs didn’t like them. With Aquapaw, baths are now so much easier, faster, and thorough.

My two girls (50# & 25#), adopted from a high-kill shelter, were afraid of being in the bathtub, not to mention having water in it/on them. We live in a downtown condo in the Midwest, so bathing them outside w a hose isn’t an option.

They don’t need baths often, but when they come home muddy from running around in the woods, Aquapaw has made it possible to thoroughly clean them in about 10 minutes. It is super easy to use. Once the diverter is attached to the shower, where it permanently stays, it’s easy to snap the hose/cleaning attachment on when I need to give the girls a bath.

They’re no longer afraid and are enjoying the gentle scrubbing/grooming they get from the soft rubber brush. Aquapaw easily enables throughly soaking their fur/rinsing soap out. I used to use a container to scoop and dump water on to them, which they didn’t like, and the water was often soapy/dirty when scooped from the tub.

It made them worried if the water was kept running so that the rinsing water was clean, so I didn’t usually use that method. It’s easy to control turning the flow of water on and off through the Aquapaw by simply squeezing it.

Now and then it slides away from the attachment to the hose, and a little water sprays out, but it’s easy to push back into place. The hose is nice and long – no problem reaching the dogs, and it’s flexible enough that moving the Aquapaw around is easy.

Love Aquapaw and highly recommend.

I used to have to lure and trap my dog into taking a bath. Now, I kid you not, he hops into the tub. That’s probably the allure of peanut butter, but he clearly doesn’t hate bath time the same way anymore.

He still looks pathetic, but I think my dog particularly hated standing in water and having empty yogurt containers of water poured on him. I love this sprayer specifically because I can put it on my hand and sort of brush him with it, so the getting wet part is less dramatic, and it easily allows me to get his underside.

Love that I can click it on and off during the shampoo and conditioner as well. Decent quality too – even if it breaks, I would get another one.

This was exactly the shower accessory I was looking for as it connects onto existing shower head to use for washing the dog and rinsing plants in the tub, and yet the hose can be removed and put out of the way when not in use.

Sounded perfect! Upon install the Rinse Ace worked fine, turned on and off with no problems, and there were no leaks. However, when the hose is disconnected at the quick connection, and then the regular shower head is used for regular human showering, water pours out from the connection.

It appears the seal inside is malfunctioning and appears to be made from inferior materials. I am highly disappointed as this is something I could really use. I’ll buy another only when I can find one made of better quality materials.

Until then, I urge you to not purchase this product as it is currently made as I’m sure you will be disappointed.

The materials used just aren’t up to standard. The plastic of the sprayer head cracks easily are the connection to the hose. The included diverter valve (which is proprietary, and thus can’t be replaced with a better one) is leaky out of the box.

However, if you don’t mind doing repairs to it regularly, or are willing to deal with leaks and sprays from cracks, it works well. Just don’t expect it to be a long term usage device.

My first two purchases of a Rinse Ace were a slightly different model. The spray head on the old ones was round, and this one is square. I couldn’t get the new hose to snap into the fitting, but was able to screw the new spray head right onto the end of the old hose.

No pets, I use this to help a family member bathe, and it works great – light and easy to handle. I broke the first one I purchased, the second one seemed to just wear out, so I hope this model will be more durable.

Fantastic invention & product quality. Takes few seconds to clean mud, sand, twigs & other ‘good things’ from doggies paws. & chest. Much LESS time, compared to cleaning car interior afterward. HIGHLY recommended for EVERY dog.

I have had the pet wand PRO for two years and it has been a life saver. I have two standard poodles. The pressure of the wand allows me to effectively wash their feet to get out mud build up in their feet and around their nail beds, which get infected easily.

The shape helps rinse the body of the dog easily and the adjustable settings help with comfort for the dog. It easily gets out the dirt and grease build up in their coats to provide a deep clean. Without this wand, I would have to take them to a dog wash or groomer.

10/10 would recommend to any dog owner. It is even great to rinse off plants and clean the shower/tub. It is easy to install and the switch makes it easy to use the original shower head. I also love the hook so when I am done with the dogs it is out of the way.

This gadget is a lifesaver. Our pup does not like getting washed, but she does like getting dirty! I take her to the park every morning, and if she runs in the mud, I can bring her home, take her into our walk-in shower, and simply hose down her feet.

It’s also great for full baths, of course. Really love this thing. It works quite well, and is possible for just one person to bathe the dog. I highly recommend.

This product was easy to install. The hose is long enough to reach my dog’s underbelly and well as his legs. I am able to get all the shampoo off him. He was more relaxed than when I used to hose outdoors.

He still doesn’t enjoy bathing, but he is not as stressed out as before. He seems to enjoy the “brushing” he gets while I am rinsing him off. I can also use this on his chin and the area below his ears without him getting upset or getting water in his ear canals.

I wish I would have found this product years ago.

This shower sprayer attachment makes it so much easier to bathe our dog. We were using a cup to rinse her off in our bathtub. The nozzle gets the soap out of her fur really well. My husband thought it was easy to install, although he did use some plumber’s tape we had on hand to keep it from leaking at the shower head connection.

This hose is an amazing value for your money! I use it to bathe my newborn and it’s perfect. It fills up our little baby bath tub and the water comes out gently so we can directly spray our baby. If you need something that has strong water pressure this isn’t for you.

It does the job, it simply slips on the end of the faucet and directs a spray. Great for hair washing, cleaning odd size objects (plastic plants) and pet washing. Fits a laundry sink (round) faucet with ease.

This product got the job done. It was very simple to use, you just hook it over your kitchen sink. I used it to wash my daughters hair and it worked fine. It had a good price on it. It’s nothing fancy and it’s just a low pressure hose.

I bought this for my RV as a replacement. It fit with my existing faucet that is a 4 inch. It has a little extra hose to pull if need. I love it and it works great!

Aqua Dance 3 Way Combo Shower head is amazing you can turn one or the other on or you can even turn BOTH shower heads on at the same time. I had my husband put this up in our shower and it was pretty easy for him did not take too much time to take the old one down and put this one up.

All my children now want to take showers with the new shower head. This also has three settings for you to choose from on each shower head. There is also a water saving option on there if you want to use that I have found out that when you use the water saving option on there the water pressure is not the best when you are using that option.

All of the materials used to make the shower head are chrome and metal. The Metal has a chrome finish on it. You get everything that you need to use these shower heads. The flow rate is 2. 5 gal per min.

There is also a lifetime limited warranty and lifetime limited manufacturer warranty as well.

I received this product for free for my review, and this is my unbiased opinion of this product. I received this product in the mail before the weekend, and it surprised me how small the package was.

But I was thrilled to find that it is of great quality, and easy to put together. I had it together and installed in a very short time. It is wonderful. I love the variety of settings and the versatility of having a stationary and removable shower head.

Showers will never be the same now that I have the Aqua Dance Showerhead.
