I ordered this in the fall and didn’t install it until just recently. Works as expected, was easy to install, looks good. I received this in a timely fashion, just as expected.

100% plastic chrome plated waterless valves faucet. EXCELENT buy for manurfactured/mobile homes ,apartments or like us . just couldn’t afford a $200 high quality faucet.

Great value for the money. Plastic, yes, but you get what you pay for. Very attractive once installed, nice tight fittings.

We are in the middle of DIY renovation of the master bathroom. We had a 15 year old glass shower enclosure that had a cracked glass on one of the walls. We wanted to replace it with something modern but did not want to splurge on a $1000+ enclosure.

We also wanted to keep the shower base/pan since it was in a good shape. This fit the bill perfectly. It was also very easy to install. Only con that I can think of is that the sliding glass door doesn’t have enough heft to give it a more high end feel.

The light weight of the doors also causes the doors to be clunky when it snaps shut. Overall, we are happy with the installation and the looks.

This is a very good quality product and inexpensive. If this is your style, you will love it. I think it’s beautiful. Make sure it’s installed well and you won’t have any leaks. I love it!

We have been fighting this shower for over a year. We have had our contractor come and take the shower apart three times!!! It leaks so bad out of the glass on the door. We have sealed and re sealed and it will not stop leaking.

No one has been any help at home depot or dreamline over the issue. Not a great product for the price we paid!.

My RV had a panel behind the shower faucet that made this a snap to install. Just had to reverse the hot, and cold caps on the valves. Quality was as good as the original. Installation was less than 10 minutes taking my time.

Very good value. Works well and easy to adjust.

The faucet was new. I have not installed yet. Just getting things ordered so when I do start working on my bathroom I will have it, Hard to find the 2 handle faucet for the bath and shower any more. What I did receive over all happy.

I guess this is one of those times you should ask for more information about an item. It looks nice but is made of a very light poor quality plastic. I would not but one of these again.

This was a great addition to our trailer remodel. It looks great and I was able to use the old back plate to cover the old marks from the old one. The button on the shower head is really handy for rationing water.

This product replaced an older shower setup. It looks great and works well. The only downside is it is all plastic. Time will tell how long it will last.

Exact replacement in our mobile home. Threads right to piping making life easy and quick. identical too original. Although they are plastic they seem to last longer thenmany Fawcett I have replaced over the years.

I was tired of spending $100+ on a brass faucet. Lime destroyes/corrodes them! So I bought this. I am sure it will last at least as long as the $100 at 1/4 of the price!

Dreamline bases are quality we can stand behind when installing. The glass and door give a clean pristine look. This kit has a base that is biscuit color, my fault, I had to order the base in white.

Nice looking showerbut poor design and of questionable quality: my shower leaks with the first use, the factory assembled flat glass panel and frame leaks, the bottom water seal not hold water as the name suggest, we had to wipe the outside after taking a shower, they should design the base with deep recess to hold water, instead of ( I thought) a generic base.

I had to caulked every seams on the shower now. , the door top pivot crooked and not adjustable ( again, factory assembled item). not sure how long will this shower last, not recommend!.

Unless you have a substantial amount of experience installing shower stalls, this system is not manageable. The instructions do not match the physical pieces and if you do follow the instructions, the rubber gasket on the bottom of the door will be destroyed after two or three uses.

I cannot recommend this unit and am assigning two stars because once it is up, it looks reasonably good.

ordered this shower a couple months ago and finally got it installed without too much problem. the real problem was the instruction book. i looked at the video on utube and the book and video wasn’t even close.

if i wasn’t a handyman with carpenter experience i would not have been able to install this shower. the product is great but the instruction book needs updated.

Had to tear out our old shower to fix some water issues. This shower looked nice in the store and looks even nicer installed. The curved door is very classy and operates very smoothly.

We finished the basement into an in-law apartment with a bathroom that is just 4′ x 7′. This fit perfectly in the far corner and allowed us to maximize the space. It’s classy/chic-looking, to boot!

Far from heavy duty! But for the price can not complain to much. Do take caution installing all hook ups . Plastic snaps easily.

My outdoor shower is in a enclosed box and this fit perfectly to replace the old one. It’s a little smaller, but still works great! I liked it because it is one piece. On the original faucet, the outlet where the hose connects was a separate piece screwed into the main body of the faucet and it always leaked! This one is one piece and should never leak.

Taiwan knockoff, doesn’t meet plumbing standards, won’t hold mild water pressure.

I replaced my old corner shower with a larger one. I chose the Vigo as a replacement and bought both the enclosure and shower base. I am an experienced do it yourselfer so I didn’t think installing the base and enclosure would be a problem.

I had to correct many mistakes made by the original home builder. The walls were not plumb and the floor was not level. After correcting everything to as close to perfect as can be done I began to install the enclosure.

I read the instructions several times and had a few questions which Vigo (for the most part) answered. One of the things I found was that some of the screws were shorter than listed. I had Vigo send some longer screws.

Installation definately takes two strong people. This glass is 3/8″ thick and is very heavy. Everything went as planned and in accordance with the instructions and we finished the installation in a few hours.

The only issue is that the plastic pieces at the corners of the doors are not fitted as well as they could be when trimmed per the instructions. Vigo should engineer premade corners to be incorporated into the trim strips.

This is a small issue but it would look more professional. I haven’t used the shower yet since I am waiting for the silicone to cure. Vigo also gives you two extra side and bottom trim pieces just incase you make a mistake trimming.

Bought at Home Depot and installed myself. Instructions were clear (they did miss 1 step though that should be between steps 13 & 14: screw frame (L) to wall frame (E) with provided self- tapping screws).

I figured that out quickly because shower moves around when doors close otherwise!! Also, TRY TO HAVE STUDS BEHIND THE CORNERS WHERE YOU SCREW THE SHOWER FRAME TO THE WALL!! They provide Ct rap plastic wall anchors (step 6&7) but two pulled right out so I used thicker screws that I had lying around).

It’s a simple pretty and functional unit. Installation is a 2 person job. But great unit.

I was able to put this together in a few hours with a friend and it looks great! The glass is very sturdy, which says a lot about the glass because it was shipped by the infamous Home Depot and survived a couple mishandles on my end.

The chrome looks very modern and they even included little caps to cover any visible screws. Good quality and attention to detail. My only critique would be to go here on this website to find the installation video.

The qr code for the video didn’t seem to be the exact model I bought. However, the written instructions were pretty clear.

The shower was purchased for a basement bathroom renovation, replacing a 50 year old metal shower cabinet, so it has been a tremendous joy to shower in something so much more modern! I love the open feeling of the glass enclosure, and even at this size there is room for a small stool should I need it as I “age in place”.

I have one major hesitation, however, at giving this unit 5/5 stars: shelving. The shelves are effectively ornamental in design. With no edge or lip, products can easily be knocked to the shower floor.

Even soap won’t stay put. This could be easily remedied by incorporating a small lip on the mould for the shelves.

Installed this shower unit 2 weeks ago. It is a good, solid and rigid configuration when complete, however, not easy if you are an inexperienced DIYer. Takes two people, especially with hanging the door, and it is better if you can reinforce the studs if attaching to drywall.

It is imperative that the walls are straight and level as there is only a small margin for error. Should have taken more time to fit the bottom door seal. Fortunately there was a spare seal in the pack.

Due to the thickness of the glass I chose not to hang it on the tiles but to drill through and anchor in the studs. Other than that I would have no hesitation in recommending this product.

We were very impressed with the quality of the product. When they said the package was 236 lb. they weren’t kidding. The glass panels are heavy to handle, however, that weight is what makes it a great product.

It can be a DIY project, as we installed ourselves, just be aware of the weight before taking on the project. Since it is frameless, the hardest part is getting everything level and lined up to the door closes properly.

In our case it took a 1/8 inch wedge under a corner of one glass panel to align properly. We have gotten many compliments on the finished product. We would recommend this.

Bought this for a 1st floor bathroom/laundry room combo & am thoroughly satisfied with this unit. Having the glass wall plus the shower door gliding is really sharp & up-to-date with many of the high-end units out there.

Plus being able to tile the other 2 walls with real tile versus the fiberglass option of some pre-packaged units really looks great. We tiled with porcelain tiles that look like travertine — nice! Just make sure when installing you level & balance the door since it moves freely & can roll.

36×46 is not correct . . Fixed panel is 33 .45 so it doest not fit a 36″ opening, it’s short . . The door rail falls 1.5″ inside . . Fixed panel should be 37.5″

The door was difficult to put together however once it was up it looked great. It was delivered to my home and I found that to be very convenient. I have not used the shower yet because the plumber hasn’t finished yet, but I can’t wait.

After an incredible amount of research, I decided to buy this shower door for my small master bathroom remodel. I have an alcove shower with a narrow opening that would not allow virtually any other shower door to work.

When my home was first built, the contractors screwed up the walls and accidentally made the shower about an inch narrower than it should have been, meaning most standard 36-inch shower doors would not fit.

Pay close attention to the minimum width requirements as noted in the product instructions and Q&A. If your opening is too narrow, this will not fit. My opening was almost exactly 34″ wide, finished tile to finished tile.

After installation, I ended up with about 1/4″ clear between the edge of glass and the tile. It does make me nervous, because if the door was to come off the wall at all, it could hit the tile and shatter.

but after 6 months, there have been no issues. Water leakage. there is almost none. This was a bit concern of mine. You would think there would be a lot, but somehow there isn’t. Every now and then a few drips end up on the floor, but they are easily dried by a floor mat/towel.

I wish the door had a coating on it to prevent water stains. I installed a different Dreamline door in another bathroom, and it definitely looks cleaner than this one, after 6 months of use. That said, I have no complaints.

The price was right, installation was easy, and frankly it was the only door that worked for my bathroom!!.

This shower door set is the most intelligent and attractive design I have seen. It says installation by professional only, but if you’re handy and have an assistant, you are probably better off than a professional working solo.

All fasteners are stainless steel; a nice touch. Doors are reversible for left or right hand installation, make it a versatile design. Door hinges are also reversible, adding to versatility. Unit is 68 pounds, so it is challenging to move around and hold in place if you are working alone.

The hardest part besides holding it in place while installing is drilling holes into porcelain tile. You need a quality diamond 3/16″ drill bit and a variable speed drill to drill into tile at slow speed.

If everything is plumb and level, installation is straightforward. If it isn’t, you have 3/8 inch play to adjust installation. All parts needed (except tools) were included, including some spare parts in case needed; a nice touch.

All in all, it’s nice to deal with such a well thought out product!.

This is a very well-made bi-fold shower door. The glass, fittings, and assembly hardware are all first class and the door gives off a feeling of strength, quality, and elegance. The instructions are clear and concise, for the most part, which makes installation move along quickly.

I didn’t need them, but the extra parts they include are a nice touch and certainly welcome. It’s a shame that this door isn’t made in a brushed-nickel or satin finish, which is mainly why I’m giving it four stars.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this door if shiny chrome fits your motif.

We bought this shower in February and finally got it installed. Nice kit. But, after installer spent 2 days to figure out the door still does not close properly. We even had two guys from a custom shower glass company spend 2h on it and could not figure it out.

Not cool. Now we have asked this custom shower company to come back and replace the two hinges completely.

What a bad deal. I got the shower enclosure on Houzz without a warning of the size difference between the enclosure and the pan. For a pan size 38×38 you need an enclosure size 36×36. Don’t match the two items according to identical sizes.

After I returned and ordered the matching pan my very skilled contractor installed the shower enclosure. It leaks badly. From the walls, from the door, from the hinges. I am now trying to get help from customer service and am getting the runaround both from Build.

com and from DreamLine. There are AntiWater Strips in the Accessory tab in the DreamLine site but nobody will give you a constructive answer or knowledgeable advice. Don’t get suckered in by a discount price.

ThIs shower is a dream come true! I had a old tub and have wanted to have it torn out and level up to a shower. Over many years (12!) I have look d into the he upgrade through various sources like lowes which have limited options.

Recently I had saved enough to get the ball rolling and decided to see what Home Essentials Direct had to offer and I was very surprised to find this shower complete kit. ( Exactly what I had in mind! ) So I had to get it! I love it! Its such a breeze to open the door and just have a more worry free experience! If you have well water even with a water softener the black base will help so much.

It is gloss black but also has a texture that helps you keep your footing. The panels and door are awesome. Could not have found a better shower! Very happy with this shower! It has made my bathroom more spacious and more visually appealing to say the least.

I’m writing his review one year after installation. This particular unit was the only one to fit my older odd sized shower. It is not a prebuilt unit, rather a custom shower built to fit a smaller bathroom.

The walls were a bit out of plumb, but the provided hardware easily allowed for adjustment on both stationary sides. This allowed for the door to be mounted with ease. After sealing the unit (I used pure silicone) and waiting a day I installed the seal stripping.

After a whole year I have yet to see a drop of water pass through ANY part of this enclosure. This is my third enclosure and It is quite honestly the best unit on the market.

Attractive, solid unit. The only problem was the door installation, the hinges didn’t hold and the door slowly sagged. Called Dreamline and they sent black gaskets to try instead of the clear ones. It sagged slightly after reinstalling door with these, but stabilized and works fine now.

There’s slight leakage if lots of water is directed right at the door, but this isn’t troublesome to us.

Granted a contractor can’t tile a shower or build a working enclosure for less than the price of the unit, but be aware this thing is as minimal in structure and design as they can make it. The wall panels are 1/16” thick, floppy vinyl material.

That was the biggest surprise, and issue to deal with. Yes I should have done more research, but would have never expected that for the price. So now doing my best to assemble in a fashion that does not ultimately feel like a shower less structurally sound than one found in a travel trailer.

Purchased this about two months ago (it took about a month to ship to Newfoundland). The packaging of the product was excellent. Have been installing it in stages (base/back walls/glass) and it has worked out very well.

The base is quite robust. Set in motar as per instructions and feels solid under foot. Plastic back walls are well-designed, easy to cut and install. They are thicker stock than similar economy units and incorporate a diamond pattern which gives added rigidity.

Aluminum and glass assembly is straightforward and will easily accept variations in plumbness. Quality hardware. The glass side panels are only one quarter inch thickness – my only complaint really – for the cost these should have been minimum 3/8″.

Hope they will hope up if they get bumped. The gaskets really do an outstanding job of holding the panels firmly in place. On a minor note, I found Home Depot’s ability to track this product significantly underwhelming.

That needs improvement and has me thinging twice about ordering again.

I LOVE this frameless shower enclosure. We remodeled our master bath and this enclosure compliments our clean modern design. My husband and I installed it ourselves and it was fairly easy to do. The quality is great and the price was much cheaper than other glass shower enclosure that we found on-line.

We are super happy with this purchase.
