20 Best Shoes To Support Ankles (2023 Updated)

These shoes got delivered today. Ordered both the 8. 5 W and the 9 W. Am really a WW foot, especially after a Orthopedic physician took out my non-arthritic toe joints. He didn’t get the Left foots 4th toe straight, it sticks off to the outer side which bumps and rubs on the inside of my shoes.

In the 8. 5 W left shoe, can feel the arch support at the back of my arch by my heel with shoe on. The 9 W left shoe on now, and the arch support does NOT, bother my foot, so is more comfortable to walk in — for my two smaller toes along the left side of the shoe, they feel snug along it, but the other toes are fine.

Do have the R shoe of the 9 W on also, the shoe arch is just fine, no problems, and feels like I could shop very comfortably all day in that shoe. It is not tight, just a comfortable looseness that would prepare to allow one’s tired out shopping foot to not want to kick off the shoe just as soon as one gets home.

The back of each shoe seems supportive above the ankle, not tight, but am not noticing any slippage up and down of my feet. Am wearing Cotton socks while wearing the shoes. After a half hour of wearing the 9W Left shoe is feeling ‘snug’ sitting here typing.

The Right shoe is comfortable on my Right foot which is a bit smaller, narrower, doesn’t have a tendency to swell at my age of 69 yrs. Pros : Feels true to size, they are supposedly leather so should last longer, breathe better while wearing them.

Cons : The outside sole, has small grooves which won’t allow me to come home from shopping, start watering/ gardening, they might collect small rocks/mud.

I have been purchasing this Propet Stability Walker shoe for years as they were the most comfortable walking shoe I could find for my wide-width foot. Unfortunately, the shoes I received this time around are not the same.

Sizing is not correct in comparison to what I used to receive – too narrow. The sole plate is narrower as well, where it used to flare at the bottom it no longer does. Quite disappointed. Apparently they’ve changed the design but not the name of the shoe/style.

I have an extremely narrow foot (I measure narrower than a slim width). I can’t find 4A shoes anywhere. I finally tried these and I can finally have a shoe that I don’t have to cinch up to make it stay on.

Because I have such bony feet I recently was fit for orthotics. The insole comes out nicely. The physical therapist was impressed with this shoe. (He did laugh when he saw my size 9s sitting side by side flat on the bottom of the box-never had seen that before) I haven’t worn these yet, except to make sure they fit.

I am waiting for the orthotics, but I finally have a well constructed shoe that actually fits. Thanks Healthy Feet Store for having these available. Most companies have abandoned those of us with “skis for feet.

I received the shoes without the inside Comfort Insert that is part of and belongs inside of the shoes. I called customer service and asked if I could be sent the missing Comfort Inserts to the shoes, and I was told that the only thing I can do is to go online and proceed to return the shoes.

I said that I was hoping that we would be able to remedy the situation by them merely sending me the Comfort Inserts. I was put on hold, and when the rep came back she told me that her supervisor said I could go online and purchase the inserts.

I asked why would I do that when it is part of shoe? (The inserts they have online, are NOT the Comfort Inserts that are a part of this shoe. ) I asked if the supervisor understood the problem. The rep said yes.

I said this is wrong and asked to speak to the supervisor. I was put on hold for several minutes, the line was silent. I hung up when they started streaming loud music through the telephone because I did not feel like I was going to get anywhere.

I sent an email through their website; however because they do not have a direct email for subjects such as this and I had to choose a different subject, I am not confident they will respond. You can see from the picture on the website what the inside of the shoe should look like – my shoe has a ragged-edge piece of thin white fabric inside the shoe, not the pink Comfort Insert that is part of the shoe.

I’ve worn this style NB shoe for about five years. Usually a new pair every 9-12 months. It’s getting very hard to find shoes that are leather. not mesh. I use them for both work and “Saturday” wear and find them comfortable.

Because they are leather they keep my feet clean, warm and dry. Mesh shoes just don’t work for my every day wearing. My previous style number was difficult to find this time around so I chose this model.

Basically they are equivalent to my preferred model EXCEPT for the soles. These are promoted as “work” shoes and they have a more “indoor” sole pattern. very smooth slip resistant style- not the more rugged walking or sports type of sole.

I will be keeping them mostly because leather sneakers are getting pretty hard to find.

I first bought the 608 v3 size 9. 5 4E brown. They were so good right away I bought 2 pairs. When they wore out, my wife ordered me a pair of v4 brown online, same size. They had a wider sole (bigger footprint), but they still fit great.

The green trim was the only downside. With v4 worn out, I ordered v5 online, again brown size 9. 5 4E. I’ve had them for a few weeks. I wear them almost every day. The fit seems to have changed a little and they don’t feel as comfortable.

To me it feels like more vertical space across the widest part of the foot. Maybe I’m just used to my old ones. Again, my only real complaint is the white trim. What happened to all brown? I don’t really want to have shoes that call out to everyone “Look at me, Look at me!” I want comfort, support, and something that can match with the color scheme I buy them for.

White trim is better than green, but why not a completely solid color shoe?.

Didn’t realise this product would be shipped from China so that meant delivery took longer than usual. Have to say though that it was well worth the wait. I have clubbed feet as a result of childhood polio and it has been geting seriously difficult to find comfortable shoes in my seniorish years but these definitely fit the bill.

From the second I put them on I knew that I was on to a winner. Normally I have to break shoes in even a little and use specialist insoles but these worked for me from day one and I was able to walk without discomfort even without the insoles.

They support my ankles which I need and the extra wide toe box is exactly right for me. Just back froma two week holiday in the Dales and wore these almost every day. A great find. Thank you FitVille!.

These were the first pair of shoes that provided width without having to go up a size. The high top allowed me to fit in my orthotics which I wear due to a fixed ankle joint caused by surgery. My feet are loving these shoes as is my posture.

I would buy another waterproof pair of walking shoes but they only come in 2E. The four stars are not five because I had to wait over three weeks for them to be delivered.

We initially ordered our Fitville trainers pre-Xmas…. they duly arrived but come up very big, so we asked to return and replace. The return charge was excessive and they did not have the same trainer in stock in a smaller size….

I tried a different colour but same stock issue. I finally received this alternative pair a few weeks ago, which are great but I am still fuming about the return delivery charge…. to Germany or alternatively pay an additional £30 and keep the wrong pair !.

My son has Charcot-Marie-Tooth and severe foot deformities. The post op toe surgery boot are the best protection for his toes. He wears a size 16 shoe and the only negative comment I have is the toe part of the shoe is too long and is a tripping hazard.

Vivehealth could make a fortune on designing an actual sandal with this toe design especially for people with hammer toes. We would be first on the list to purchase the sandals. It could eliminate having toe surgery for some people.

I purchased the walking boot via Amazon, but since I apparently haven’t spent enough money there lately to be worthy of the ability to leave a review, I’ll do so here. I got this for my best friend who had broken her pinky toe.

The other day when I took her to urgent care (because she is diabetic and she was worried about the circulation in her toes), the PA was so impressed by this walking boot, he showed it to everyone in the office and wrote down the name “Vive” because it’s apparently so much better than what they have to offer patients! The shoe itself is great – deep enough for my deep orthotics – and they last well. I’ve worn them for years – kind of wish they had more padding in the sole, as when you take the innersole out and put your orthotic in there is no softness at all.

PLUS they’ve changed from pure white to an off creamy white – which I DON’T LIKE !!! but – my orthicons fit in these. so no choice for now. PROPET _ PLEASE GO BACK to pure white !!.

I ordered these shoes because I have a high arch and no Fat Pads on my feet. They are very uncomfortable, they do not deliver the relief that I thought I would get. I’ve tried memory foam inserts, orthidic, and special inserts and without any insert.

They cause me a lot of pain and I can’t ware them more than 20 minutes before I cannot walk in them. I should send them back.

These a most comfortable shoes so far, I work long standing hours and when I start to wearing them pain just disappear, I have lower back pain an my feet was killing me. They also arrived just a day after I purchased them.

The black is my second pair of this style shoe and just as supportive as the first pair. I don’t wear the black pair as often as the grey pair with lime laces. The grey pair is everyday shoe and so they get more exposure going to the store, yard stuff, walking the dog etc.

The black pair I am using as a change of pace to go to dinner / look nicer. With that said the grey pair is, after a few months, just as supportive today as the first day I tried then on and the black pair is a super fit as well.

Usually when I have gotten a pair of tennis shoes (regulars from shoe store, online etc) they tend to not be supportive of my feet after about 3 mos. It is as though the shoe starts breaking down and the support is gone even though the shoe itself looks fine.

Both pair of these shoes are super supportive of me as I wear them all day long. I have bunions but only one foot was starting to bug me a bit. I was in a bad wreck with injuries a few years ago and ever since I must wear very foot supportive shoes mostly hiking boots which give me great stability and excellent support for my low beck and knees etc.

Walking on concrete was a nightmare for several years demanding excellent foot support. After all these many years of wearing hikers I though I would give OrthoFeet a try as I ran across them on line.

60 day guarantee I decided I had nothing to lose so I ordered the grey pair to see if this shoe was really all they claimed. I am so pleased with the shoes that honestly I can’t wait to put them on every day.

The other thing is the ortho inserts. With each pair of shoe I also purchased another ortho insert so I could put it into my other hikers. The ortho insert makes such a big difference for me. I also like the little heel support in there because I have an extremely narrow heel and a very wide toe.

At this point I am so very happy with these shoes especially for the hot summer time I highly recommend these. My feet have felt Incredibly good with these tennis like shoes and the shoes breath. My feet don’t get to hot.

I honestly love these shoes. I had Puma’s and Under Armour shoes prior to these, and I felt like the way the shoe was shaped, that my foot was always pointing at an angle in the shoes. I found these online and purchased them on a whim because I thought nothing could be worse than what I was already dealing with in regards to my tennis shoes/sneakers.

I’m on my feet all day, everyday because I work in manufacturing engineering and these sneakers ROCK. All the extras they give you are just amazing. You get 2 different thicknesses of spacers in case you have feet that aren’t as thick height wise, they give you added arch support (which I use and LOVE) and they give you 2 different types of laces.

My only issues with these shoes is that I am using the laces that you push the plastic piece down on to tighten, and the plastic cap on the end of the laces that hold both ends together already came off one shoe and I can’t get it back on.

But this does not at all affect the wearability of the shoe or its functionality. They are still awesome, very comfortable and extremely sturdy. This is the first set of sneakers I have had in a really long time that actually keep my feet warm and dry.

They are not paper thin like most sneakers these days. These are STURDY shoes, but still flexible so you don’t feel like you are in boots or something. If you are debating these shoes, get a pair. You won’t be disappointed.

I have wide feet and the normal width fits great. I usually have to buy men sneakers because of this but these shoes are fabulous.

I know this is going to seem silly and I would have NEVER believed this if I wouldn’t have experienced it myself. But these shoes straight up changed my life. My feet started hurting a couple of years ago, and I was told it was plantar fasciitis.

My left foot the whole entire foot hurt, especially the top of the main bone and even my ankle. My right foot it was mostly my heel. But over the last several months it had gotten so bad that it hurt to walk and I had a limp.

I’d try to hold on to whatever I could when walking just to keep as much pressure off. I even have several different pairs of insoles made specifically for PF that I wore every day. I ordered these shoes (after researching and trying to find things to help) because of the reviews and them being made to help with plantar fasciitis.

I put them on as soon as they came in and I felt some relief. The next day I put them on when I woke up and by the end of the day I was very uncomfortable and was thinking they weren’t going to work for me but I had read that it takes up to ten days for them to contour to your feet so I continued to wear them.

Every waking minute! By the third or maybe fourth day I could walk with NO pain what’s so ever. I had energy and was/am able to stay up all day and I’m getting so much done! Looking back my quality of life was pretty much nonexistent and it’s crazy to me that it was all because my feet hurt so bad and I was in so much pain.

I literally didn’t want to do anything other than sleep because that was the only time I wasn’t in pain. And being a homeschooling momma of 4 that definitely wasn’t good. Once the pain was gone I was able to do so much more that I never really knew how much I was suffering and letting myself and duties go until then.

I ordered the slippers for wearing in the house. They don’t give me absolute relief like the shoes do but they are good for quick slipping on and off and they do take away most of the pain. But these tennis shoes are still my “go-to” and I wear them every single day.

Most of the time as soon as I wake up until I go to bed at night, but other times like on lazy staying at home days I’ll just put the slippers on. If you suffer from pain from Plantar fasciitis then do yourself a favor and GET THESE SHOES! Give it a few days of wearing them to get your feet used to them and you absolutely won’t regret it!!!.

I have had foot problems for decades and searched for shoes that help them not to hurt. It’s a combination of arthritis, gout, and a bad knee. My podiatrist recommended New Balance, but the only ones that worked for me were almost $200 pair.

I didn’t mind paying that every couple of years, but the shoes began wearing out and hurting every three months or so and the fit seemed to be always changing so the shoe didn’t work as well. I’d finally stumbled on another brand of Orthotic Shoes which I liked and were about half the cost of New Balance and worked.

I ended up buying four pair in various styles. The main problem with them is that the heals wore down very quickly and through my gait off, caused an imbalance, which began leading to back issues. I’d about given up hope, then discovered this shoe.

They seem to be very well made, light, with more padding than any of the other shoes I’ve tried. The heals are a little higher, so my stride and balance is more forward than backward, resulting is far less pain and discomfort, along with better balance.

I have a wide toe box and narrow heals with high arch and instep. My only problem with the shoe so far is that it is a little wide in the heal, but the fit elsewhere is perfect as is the support and with the laces adjusted doesn’t slide or rub where it’s a bit wide.

And, the price is right. I imagine that I’ll be purchasing several more pair over the next year in different styles.

I have Multiple Sclerosis which means I have very strange feet that I can not wear most shoes. I can no longer walk on sandy beaches as too painful and my balance is not good either so a supportive shoe is vital.

3 years ago I broke my leg then Covid so my movement was greatly inhibited. I have only found one brand of trainers I can wear and have lived in them for over a year now. I had looked at Fitville and thought it might be worth a try and finally I have.

I bought them about a month ago and have slowly started using them, day at a time for a few hours to get my over sensitive feet used to them. I wore them for a couple of days at a time a few times and now for the last 3 days continuously! I walked over a patch of land, grassed but uneven today that I haven’t done for 3 years with our dog.

A bouncy Labrador pointer rescue. I find I can drive much better in them and can feel the soles of my feet too and wiggle and move my feet/toes. I actually forgot to take my cane and only realised when I thought something is missing! I went without it even when I realised.

Not for too long but trainers have a wide supportive sole which I realised are easier to stand with that extra support. So if this is how a person with a real physical challenge can be made to feel, just try them.

I am now going to try the trainers you don’t have to bend to do up laces and are quite cute too. Nice colours. and use them as supportive slippers. I am so glad I took the plunge and bought them. Dark blue rebound core ladies.

I bought ladies 6 and they are true to size. Don’t be tempted to size down because wider. I have been 6 all my life, 39 European. And the extra width gives more movement to my feet. I have a smaller foot by half a size but bought to fit the larger foot.

I hope this review may help others with weird feet, neuropathy etc. Those with fabulous normal feet, these will be just amazing! Thank you for reading, i hope this helps. To be able to walk again on land I have not been able to for 3 years gives such hope and pleasure.

I’ve had these for 3 months. I am an Amazon delivery driver & wear them for about 30 hrs a week. These saved me from pain in my knees, shins, upper legs, & back. I have most of my spine fused with titanium rods & no longer have pain in my body when I wear these.

I will be sore sometimes but no pain that is slowing me down. I would have quit my job months ago if I did not find these shoes, that’s how much they’ve helped me! I bought a different brand boot on Zappos & tried wearing those after wearing these for a few months & after 2 days, it caused SO much pain in my body, I was on the verge of quitting my job until I realized I needed to switch back to my kurus.

The second I put them back on, it felt like they were already healing my feet/body lol. The ONLY complaint I have is that the sole’s tread is not very thick at all. Which will make these not last as long as I would have liked them to, especially for paying almost $200 for them.

With the soles already wearing down after almost 3 months, (showing black under the once grey rubber) where the balls of my feet sit, I’m thinking I will have to buy 2 pairs per year if I stretch them out long enough.

Which makes me a bit a sad because the rest of the shoes are in great condition & work amazing. Is there any way you can get back to me about this or lmk if this normal?.

I received my boots in late October 2021. I have Morton’s Neuroma in my right foot and had been wearing another brand for several years with good success. They changed their models and narrowed the toe box and my last pair was unbearable to wear.

After much research I found Kuru and ordered a pair. It took a while to get them broke in but once they were it eliminated most of the pain. My job requires a great deal of walking and standing so pain reduction is imperative.

The sole at the heel of my boot wore through and separated from itself after 5 months and was leaking badly. Every time it rains my foot gets soaked. I was disappointed, but ordered another pair anyway because of the pain reduction.

I saw that Kuru offered a 6 month warranty so I put in a claim, but not expecting any resolution. All I can say is WOW!! I received a nearly immediate response and was issued a credit for a new pair which I have reordered.

Easily the most surprising, expedient, and satisfying customer service I have ever received. I figured it would merely be attributed to normal wear and tear, and I would not have quibbled although, I have never worn through a pair of boots that quickly and to that degree.

I was eyeing these shoes and thinking about buying them for a while before I pulled the trigger. I love my Atoms and I’ve also enjoyed my other hiking shoes from this brand. Unfortunately, these boots did not live up to my expectations.

Every time I wear them, regardless of what sort of socks I’m wearing, these rub badly on the backs of my heels and give me blisters if I wear them for long enough. I’ve now had them for over a year, and I’ve tried them many times with very little improvement to the comfort.

They’re also just really warm for some reason, which is uncomfortable considering that I can’t wear thin socks without my heels getting very torn up. I have a friend who also has these boots, and she loves them, so maybe it’s just something about the shape of my foot not being right for this shoe.

I really wish I had just received them when I first tried them out and got blisters, but I kept thinking I’d be able to break them in. These were a big miss for me unfortunately, even though I do like the style of them!.

OMG! I have never had a better online shoe purchase experience. I’ve tried several times to purchase shoes online and it’s been a huge drag. With these shoes, they were a fit right out of the box. I really loved how they didn’t dig into my ankle, as they were low cut enough.

Also where the tongue meets the top of my foot, it was not restrictive nor uncomfortable in the least. I sized up. 5. Normally I wear between an eight and 8 1/2 and I purchased an 8 1/2. The shoes are incredibly comfortable.

I do not have plantar fasciitis, but I often feel sore at the end of my shifts. I stand on my feet a lot as a chef. My lower back usually hurts by hour number five. Not with these-I am not tired and my back doesn’t hurt.

They give plenty of support and they actually look attractive! I bought the white shoes with the blue trim. I super highly recommend them for those people who stand on their feet for long periods of time.

I use these shoes for walking. Not on a flat surface, but on a county road that goes up and down. Also for a every day shoe. I ordered a 1/2 size down as instructed and wish I had kept the whole size instead.

I find that the end of my toe sometimes hits the end of my shoe when going down hill. The foot box is really spacy so my feet slide around a bit. But overall, I like the style and tread, doesn’t gather a lot of gravel in the tread.

The support is great.

I do have a pronation developed within a year. No shoes work. No sandals work. So I decided to give a try to my shoes I purchase at Hamnacher Schlemmer. Yesterday I went ( for the first time in a year) to the Gym and I walked 2 miles and.

NO PAIN ! All the contrary ! i walked, my back or my hip did not hurt and my pronation was directed to the right position ! I love my shoes ! Thanks !.

These came up in a google search looking for shoes for Plantar Fasciitis. I was rather sceptical and shocked at the cost. From first putting on they have helped, though. I wore them for two days whilst away and my other half commented that I hadn’t moaned once about my feet.

My only criticism is that they are slightly small size-wise. Plus, they are very lightweight, so I am not sure how long they will last. Thoroughly recommend them for Plantar sufferers.

I bought an Oofos sandle first, I find it support both my fallen arches releived me from the subsequent pains in my heels, knee joints and lower back. I bought the low shoe again to do my walking excercises.

I gave only four stars because they are one and a half size smaller than the standards and the Mesh low shoes doesn’t come in half sizes.

I have plantar fasciitis and Oofos work for me. I wanted a shoe a step up from a sneaker. I compared these, Oofos Eezee sneaker (like microfiber) and Blondo Karen. I kept these in black with white soles as I think they’re a perfect summer shoe as they’re mesh.

I appreciate Nordstrom allowing for so many returns!.

I ordered these from the Walking Co. I love the red, it’s perfect and matches my personality. not to mention great looking. These shoes are light weight. I think the bungee laces make it super easy to adjust to the most comfortable fit.

You can wear them tighter, or adjust to be able to slip into. They are made with a mesh top with makes them breathable, and the padded collar offers a comfortable fit. I wear and ordered a size 8 1/2 and my toe sits at the start of the toe strip.

I think next time I will order a 9 just too see which I like best. They offer width sizes up to XW in this shoe which is hard to come by. I ordered an 8 1/2, N My shoes were delivered in 3 days. I do recommend them.

They come in 5 colors. I am buying the black next. They are great for casual walking around.

I bought these for work, and my feet end up sore after an 8-9 hour shift. For a walking shoe I expected more. There’s a little support but not much cushion or comfort. The tightening mechanism always ends up coming loose too, but I love that I can slip them on and off and don’t have to tie them.

They are really easy to tighten too, but the string started to fray after only a few months. Overall the shoes are okay – not bad but not great. I did have higher expectations. They fit true to size but are roomy.

I have a hard time finding shoes. I used to wear a wide and now it seems that I need extra-wide. Propet is one on the only brands to sell extra-wide. I bought these in 9 1/2 ww (I have always been 9 1/2) and ended up having to exchange for 9 ww.

There is no sole in these shoes. I cannot wear these shoes to walk for long periods of times due to no cushion being in the shoe. If you are mostly sitting all day, these may work ok. If you do lots of walking or standing, forget about it with these shoes.

I took a chance with these shoes, and it did not pay off.

I purchased these in my “regular” size – 10W. Am very thankful QVC seems to have great shoes in sizes for people with larger and wider feet. I tried this shoe because I have metatarsus adductus – c-curved feet.

It was never corrected when I was a child and I only discovered the issue after I went to a podiatrist. Typically finding supportive, fashionable shoes is a royal annoyance. I have to wear custom orthotics.

Saw these and thought I would give them a try. As I was working out in them the big toe on my left foot kept bumping into the front of the shoe–hmmm. too small. But I liked all the other aspects of fit and comfort.

Sooooooooo I decided to try another pair in a 1/2 size larger. PERFECT workout shoe! I’m keeping both pairs. So if you are like me consider sizing up a 1/2 size in these. Other than that I have never had such a comfortable supportive shoe that fits my custom orthotics beautifully! Thank you, GDEFY!!! Now if you only made shoes other than athletic ones with the same support comfort.

I rarely write reviews but use them myself extensively, so I really have to submit one about these shoes. I have high arches and always get arch pain and other foot problems when walking. Not with these.

These are by far the most supportive and comfortable walking shoes (including sneakers and hiking boots!) I have ever worn. They provide several different orthotic inserts that you can try separately or put them all together, and this is the key.

You must try the different variations to get just the right fit and level of support you are looking for (read the instructions!). I ended up using all of the orthotics together and do not get the heal pain from walking that I would always get from other shoes (even Keen hiking boots, which I love, and Skechers Archfits, which I also love).

Just try them!.

I have been looking for some good athletic shoes for a while due to planter and other feet issues. To go grocery shopping, etc is very painful. Standing in one spot for longer than a few seconds makes my feet hurt.

They feel like I am standing on bone with no padding. A friend bought these and after checking them out, I decided to give them a try. So glad I did. First they have a lot of support on the bottom, where my feet aren’t even close to the floor.

Then they include two inserts for added padding. I wore them shopping and they make all the difference in the world. Finally a shoe that is “cushy” enough to keep my sensitive feet from hurting. Highly recommend!.

This shoe is extremely supportive – the sole is completely rigid, the heel counter is very firm, and even the upper is stiff. The toe is narrow and pointed, and the heel feels wide compared with the toe.

This is distinctly different from the Drew Lightening II, perhaps due to the different last used (P401 vs. P741).

Love the shoe. I like the leather and mesh comboI am unhappy it does not come in white anymore. I have a very wide foot with bunions and hammer toes and Drew Surge is the only shoe I wear period. Black just doesn’t go with everything and I really hate wearing black athletic shoes to my exercise facility.

As a Police Officer I am always on my feet. Drew Surge are the best. I have tried the other Drew Sneakers, but I like the Surge the best because they are heavy duty and last long time. I was a New Balance sneaker guy for years prior but due to my long and wife feet.

Goodbye to New Balance and hello to DREW. I wear a 13 6E and fits perfect. I even use the sneakers at the gym. A great find, buy them you won’t be sorry.

This website is awesome. Propet is a mega comfortable shoe. I have nerve damage in my feet and love these shoes. I ordered many pairs (wasn’t sure about my size), so I was going to have to return more than I kept.

Believe it or not I ordered 20 pairs and kept 4. This was not a problem for this company. They refunded me the exact prices without even a hiccup. Will definitely order again from this Co. If you don’t know what width will fit you best, I recommend starting with the widest and working your way down.

I got my regular shoe size and these fit fine although I couldn’t wear a sock with them. For that reason I would call these a warm weather sneaker. I put them on and wore them around the house (all hardwood floors) and they were very comfortable.

Having said that, I don’t think I would want to tour Europe with them. The padding is okay for running errands, but I wouldn’t want to do serious walking with them. I think they are very attractive.

I found these shoes in an internet search for “responsive walking shoes” and boy, are they. Lightweight, comfortable, not only no foot pain but not even a whisper of discomfort, and not at all bulky.

When your feet say “ahhhh” when you lace a pair of shoes on them, and you look down and think, “those are pretty cute”, you know you can stop looking. The cushioning of the sole is exactly right — it works but I can still feel the terrain under my feet, so my feet and ankles have good information to work with to support my balance.

(According to my physical therapist, a problem with my previous “marshmallow” shoes was I couldn’t feel the ground. ) I have really high arches, and the elastic band over the instep is not at all restrictive.

In fact, when I lace up the shoe, the elastic buckles a little bit as the laces get snug. I don’t mind this, but the rest of the shoe is so perfect looking, I found it noticeable. My only problem, that I quickly got over, was that my usual orthotics did not fit well in these shoes.

While waiting to hear some advice from the Kuru Gurus (by email, still waiting, yes I checked my spam box), I just put the original insoles back in and wore them that way. Now, after a couple of weeks, I’m perfectly happy with the original insoles.

When I recover from this ankle injury that led me to change shoe brands and start walking longer distances, I’ll see if I need a more supportive orthotic. But for now, I’m very happy. I ordered two other Kuru styles to try.

I work in a fast-paced retail setting on a steel-reinforced concrete floor. My previous shoes hurt the minute I put them on, feeling like they had no arch support or cushioning at all. My feet hurt terribly & I’m struggling with arthritis in my back, hips & knees as well.

Hence, my interest in Kuru. I purchased the Pivot due to the light weight. I chose my normal size and they fit pretty well, except for the tongue which seems to be a bit too wide & bunches up when I tie the laces how I want them.

The first day, my feet felt pretty good at work & I came home with very little pain in my feet, hips & back. I thought these shoes were gonna be my salvation. However, they have not performed that way again on the 2nd & 3rd day of wear and I’m almost back to where I was pain-wise.

I don’t feel like there’s any arch support at all & the heel cushioning isn’t keeping up with the demands of my job. I think these would be nice casual shoes for around the house or leisurely stroll in the garden but I think I need something *more* for my fast-paced, high mileage, bad flooring occupation.

I may look for & try a different, more supportive, more athletic type style in this brand.

I just received my Pivots, and thought I’d share a couple notes on the fit. The description mentioned they had the same base as the Ellie model, which I already have. The Ellie tends to run a bit smaller than other models, so knowing that I ordered a whole size larger rather than a half size as I usually would.

They would have been fine a half size larger. Also, they run a bit wide, and with the one-piece top construction, you can only tighten them so much without the laced area buckling. I would say if you generally order a Wide shoe, you don’t need to, and if you have very narrow feet this may not be the shoe for you.

That said, they are very light and flexible, comfortable every day shoes.

Great support Perfect fit. I suffer from Parkinsons and these shoes really help with my stability. Also, there has been no sticking or slipping no matter what the surface. When I originally purchased these there was a problem with the shipping and Gecko Man responded quickly and courteously.

I love thees shoes, even though my feet are narrow. Too many shoes have lousy arch support but these put a spring in your step. My only criticism is that the shoe strings, which look great out of the box, get gnarly after you tie them a few times.

Otherwise I would give them a solid 5 stars.

My husband recently contracted plantar fasciitis and is cautious about his footwear. Needing a new pair of sneakers I decided to do some shopping. This was one of his anniversary presents and to my surprise.

A Big Hit! He loves them.

Bought for my husband. My impression- online picture looks way better than the real shoe in person. Very cheap looking; the material is thin and the print appeared duller in person which made it look like an old pair of shoes.

It’s not worth >$99. I would say that $39 is more appropriate- looks like something you can buy at Walmart or Target that was meant to look high end but ends up looking cheap because of the material.

My husband impression- cheap looking. One star because it’s true to size. Second star for comfort. Not worth the price point.

Highly recommend. Needed a good walking shoe to address plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. Ordered reg size and width. I sometimes order wides to accommodate the bunion but often find that wides are then too wide on the rest of the foot and down to the heel causing my feet to swim and my heel to pop out a bit.

These shoes have a bit of extra room in the toe box and flexible material to better accommodate and conform to a slightly wider foot at the front without the shoe being overly wide throughout. The insole provides great support for my high arches and cushioning/cupping of the heel.

I got the black and gray which go with everything and are also very fashionable. I imagine these would be supportive, great walking shoes even for those without any foot issues.

These shoes are performing really well. I’m surprised and pleased. I’ve been wearing a name brand running shoes – with orthotics – because my feet are a mess. These Propet shoes offer nearly the same support and stability.

The toe box lets my toes move around and overall they seems to offer my feet more flexibility inside the shoe. Also – I got size EE and it is wide enough for my wide feet and orthotics, which is not always the case with other brands.

These arrived today and are excellent for my feet. I have Lymphedema in my feet and seriously struggle with getting anything to fit and feel comfortable. These feel wonderful on my feet and as soon as the grey ones are back in stock in 4E i will be ordering.

This is my second pair of Fitville shoes. I tried them as my feet have swollen & existing shoes would not go on. It was lovely to be able to slide them on- I still used my show horn. But it was easy.

I wear them all day & they are totally comfortable.

I like the shoes and they fit well but I thought I had ordered them in white but it was a black pair you sent. Returning and exchanging is always a hassle with mail order goods so I just kept the black shoes.

May try ordering white in the future!.
