20 Best Shoes For Zumba Dance (2023 Updated)

I purchased these years ago. They arrived as I was getting ready to go to dance class; I put them on; I danced for an hour and a half and they were immediately comfortable, supportive and provided no problems from then on! What a great experience; a great shoe.

Years later, they are still very functional, but, needing some fresh support, I ordered a new pair—the exact same shoe, size – everything the same. Unfortunately, one shoe is slightly short in the toe box, resulting in foot cramping.

Of course, thinking they needed to be ‘broken in,’ it became too late to exchange them. I’ve continued using the original pair, which I still love, but there’s now a greater need for support. However, now I am unsure whether to purchase a half size larger or return to what I originally ordered, which was one size larger than street, on the chance that that 2nd pair was uniquely, poorly constructed.

So if, when you put them on your feet, they are not right–immediately–return them for a larger size. Like the old saying: when they were good, they were very very good and when they were bad, they were horrid.

I love these shoes. They’re amazing. I had ones before and they were amazing too. I wear them for teaching and for my work in the studio. They are very comfortable and look very well.

I tried several more expensive sneakers when I began Jazzercise. After a month I had severe plantar fascitis. Nothing seemed to help and then I found a couple of reviews from women who loved these for Jazzercise.

I promptly bought a pair. They are a bit disconcerting at first with the high looking heel and fabric arch on the bottom. They certainly are not the pink/turquoise/lime fashion sneaker like the $100+ Rykas but the overall design has conquered my plantar fascitis and made Jazzercise possible again! I absolutely love them and have already bought a second pair as a back up in case they are disocntinued! Danzia definitely has the best price online.

Now I am on the hunt for a walking shoe with the same feel but without the fabric on the sole.

These gym shoes are the best I have found for grandson’s TNT (tumbling and trampoline) gymnastics. I had been buying him cheaper ones but the bottom pads lost all texture within a few months of practice.

THese do wear but are still way better in quality than any others I’ve had and they aren’t as likely to get holes between top and sole. They are expensive, which is the main setback, for little gym slippers.

but still the best value among alternatives. I would love to be able to find quantities for less money. actually I did get a little discount this time for buying 3 more pairs, unfortunately that appeared just after I had replaced one pair alone.

I purchased this Capezio slipper & it was very comfortable on my feet. Great for dancing, practice use & leisure. I love my slippers.

It’s made well but not true to size. I even went a whole size up. My daughter wears a size 10. I would say go 2-3 size up. It says kids sizes r wide. I had to return. I ordered the daisy ballet shoe and it suggest I go a size up and I did and those fit perfectly.

So i don’t know is it just the shoe I received???.

I had the first version of this shoe & LOVED them so I thought these would be great. Wrong. These rubbed my ankle raw every time I tried to wear them, even with different socks, even after a month. After wearing high socks & a blisters forming around my semi heeled ankle rub, these were returned.

These are true to size & comfortable everywhere else but the back.

Love the look. Mostly comfortable. The only problem is the back of the shoe is too high. I tried to make it work by wearing thicker / higher socks because I really loved the style, but it just was not comfortable.

If the back didn’t cause ankle rub like a lot of the reviews said, this would have gotten 5 stars. PS – I have pretty think ankles just as a heads up!.

Best sneaker in my closet. After months for buying, trying, and returning sneakers I went into the store near me and tried on several pairs. This one stole the show. Roomy, soft, supportive but none restrictive, and cute in a modern way.

I’ve worn them nearly every day for two weeks just because. You will not regret buying this sneaker.

I have been dancing for 10 years and have tried every dance shoe. I used to like Blocks but these are so much more comforable.

I purchased the black to make sure they would fit, since they do not have widths. I have a wide foot and they are perfect and true to size. I love the leather free fitting material. They are perfect for praise dancing!!!! I had to purchase in every color.

I will be using these instead of ballet slippers that don’t last on the floors.

I typically wear a size 7 in a street shoe and ordered an 8. 5 based on the recommended 1-1. 5 sizes bigger than one’s street shoe size and reviews that this shoe runs small. I found that it was much too big.

It was at least half a size if not a full size too large. I would have exchanged it for a smaller shoe, but I was underwhelmed by the look and feel of this dance sneaker. I would describe the color as a light bubble gum pink.

(On my monitor, it looks more muted. ) I also found the shoes to be rather stiff and bulky while not offering much support for my high arches. (Perhaps this is due to the size issue. ) For reference, I am used to wearing the Sansha Hi-Step, which I find more supportive yet also more flexible.

This is my second time ordering these shoes. I wear a size 7 street shoe and a couple years ago ordered an 8 in these shoes. I was happy with the size 8 fit until I ended up with an ingrown toenail from my toe rubbing against the front end.

This time, I ordered an 8. 5 and they feel a bit big but there is no rubbing. I have to wear a thick sock to keep them from slipping off my feet and the am not sure how I feel about the arch support as it hits my arch in a different place than the size 8 did.

I would definitely follow the sizing guidelines. As for ordering 1 or 1. 5 size up, it really depends on your preference of how you like to wear your dance shoes. If you like them tight I would go with 1 size up, if you like them a bit roomier than I would go with 1.

I bought these to replace my old pair which I’ve had for years and love. They look almost the same but unfortunately the sole is made of a harder rubber and to my surprise isn’t so slippy for turning/spinning.

I might need to buy the stick on pads. Shame they changed them. They are still very comfortable though.

I previously used Bloch Tap Flex, which I loved and I tapped in them really well. My studio made the transition from split sole to full sole tap shoes for my level this year, and due to the affordability and some reviews of the shoe, and a friend of mine using them and thinks they’re ok, I decided to buy it.

And boy did I make a mistake. Where do I begin with this shoe. I think first and foremost, these shoes are very, very hard to tap in. I can not, for the life of me, do a toe stand in these shoes, and it’s quite embarrassing when I have a toe stand turn in one of my recital tap routines and I’m the only that can’t do it, solely because of these shoes.

The toe of this shoe is very flexible, which is OK, I guess, but it adds no support to the toes which makes the shoe collapse when I attempt a toe stand. The shoe isn’t very loud and whenever my teacher makes us perform a tap step by ourselves, so she can hear our sounds and if we’re doing it correctly, she always says that I have to be louder, when it’s not me it’s the shoe.

And lastly, which is another huge problem, they slip off my heel. I can almost correct this with a heel gripper on the inside of my shoe and if I tie them just tight enough, but I don’t want to have to make this shoe a bigger investment than it derserves to be.

The only saving grace this shoe has that it is a roomy shoe, and is supportive to my very wide foot. All in all, do not buy this shoe. I bought it as a cheap route without having to spend a lot of money on a shoe, when I just didn’t have the money.

I got these thinking they were a cheaper version of Jason Samuel Smiths, and I was wrong and right. They have the look and style of the JSSs’ but are lacking in everything else. Never going to get this shoe again and plan to buy the JSS the next time I am able to.

Always trusting in the Bloch brand, I placed this shoe on my studio’s Dress Code List as an option for students taking Basic, Beg/Int. and Int. level tap classes. The students and parents alike loved the look, durability and price of this shoe.

Students immediately remarked on the comfort of the soft and relatively plush inside lining as well as how the shoe melded to their feet within just a few classes. Additionally, they all loved the tone and full sound created by the metal taps.

Parents of growing students (ages 10-13) were happy with the supple leather that allowed them to wear the same shoe as their feet grew up to a full size larger. Overall, the Bloch ‘Audeo’ Tap Shoes are a great, high quality and affordable option – especially for dancers with some tap training.

The one major issue with this shoe is the sizing. problem I found early on, however, was finding the correct sizing. This shoe runs small. My first student to order these shoes ended up trying 3 more sizes and widths before finding the size that fit correctly.

Every pair of these shoes ordered by my students ended up being one full size to 1-1/2 sizes larger than their street shoe size and contrary to the ‘suggested fitting. ‘.

These tap shoes are great for anyone changing from full sole to split sole. The sound quality is excellent and the shoe fits comfortably around the heel and toe. With my other tap shoes I used to get blisters but with this tap shoe I have found that the design of the heel helps against friction.

However, if you are a tap dancer that goes up on your toes a lot I would recommend being careful because the leather on the toes tends to wear away over time. I have had mine for about a year and I am getting new ones because the leather has worn away and the color on the toes has faded.

With my other tap shoes they last around a year and a half however I have found that these dont last quite as long for some reason. I would highly reccomend these shoes for intermediate or advanced tap dancers who are looking for tap shoes that last around a year.

These tap shoes run big and I would reccomend getting a smaller size because split soles tend to stretch out over time.

Bought these multi-colored Reeboks for doing T25 and Insanity. They are very stable and there is no slipping on hard flooring. Most of my exercise sneakers are size 7. 5 (which is what I ordered), but I could have gone with the size 7 instead.

The toe box is a bit larger than I would like. kinda baggy if that makes sense, but not a deal breaker. Perhaps the size 7 would have been better. These shoes also provide a “warm up” before your actual work out as they are tough to get on.

I have high arches, so that doesn’t help, but these bad boys take some serious effort to get my feet in. I am contemplating making 2 small cuts to separate the sock liner thing from the tongue. Once on, they are comfortable and supportive.

I have worn them for a few work outs, so I will be keeping them, but do they really need to be this difficult to put on??? Yikes.

I purchased these shoes for kickboxing and cardio classes. They are very well-made, provide significant arch support for hard-hitting workouts and are true to size. They are remarkably scuff resistant which is a wonderful bonus and I appreciate the soft breathable top layer of the shoe.

One of the best benefits this shoe has to offer is strong ankle stability, key for quick side to side lateral movements during cross training. I have always found Reebok tennis shoes to be superior when it comes to daily workouts.

I was looking for a training sneaker but didn’t want to spend the money on those super expensive exercising/weight training sneakers just yet. My foot seems really supported in the heal for weight training.

There is an inner “sock” to the sneaker though and there is no tongue to pull and tighten when you tie your sneakers. I’m not a huge fan of that because i feel like the pulling the tongue and tightening the laces gives for better foot support.

But overall i like the sneaker.

If you are buying for fitness look elsewhere. The only reason I am not returning is because I bought them for looks not working out. There Is absolutely no comparison of quality between these and ballistic trainers.

I foresee the leather eyelets ripping out. The very bottom eyelet is just rubber that is stretching. I got an 11 in both and they are extremely close this one may be a tiny bit shorter and wider in the toe box area.

Will be the last pair of Reeboks I’d buy without seeing them, seems like they are running on a name but I have been disappointed in both pairs I have bought of theirs. Soles are cheap looking with holes that let the white and black show through on bottom.

Premium price, not premium shoe. Just my opinion I’m not gonna put them through any sort of torture test. Love the way they look though.

This is hands down the best version of the Nano they’ve had in quite some time. Super comfortable and versatile. I use it during regular lifting sessions, cross training, and even just for the occasional walk.

Only two things I would rate negatively on these shoes. The first, the laces are too short (if you lace through all the openings, which I do), and the second being the lace loops fray easily. They haven’t torn or anything yet and I’ve been using them daily since June.

I took notice more recently as I’ve been using the rower more and the strap on the footrest definitely plays a factor in that as well. But otherwise, great shoe.

Just ordered my first pair of Nano X2s for all around HIIT, CrossFit, and weight workouts. They look good and seem well made, unfortunately they are HUGE. I wear, and ordered, a 9. 5. There is so much extra room in the toe and heel, it feels like I’m wearing 11s.

Went to Reebok’s website to see what they had to say and found this statement, “Runs large. Based on returns, we recommend you size down. (If you usually wear size 7, order 6. 5). ” My bad for not doing more research, but for those of you considering these shoes please take notice before ordering.

I have used this shoe for about 13 years. I am a ballet teacher and I was getting plantar fasciitis for being on my feet so long with so little support. This is the first time, that I found it STIFF, and it seems to run a tiny bit smaller than the last pair.

This time I am disappointed for the very first time. I am going to have to wash them a few times before I wear them I think? HOWEVER, My review is for what I would have said, regarding this shoe UP UNTIL THIS TIME.

I ordered these shoes for my college dance team performances as we have to wear black sneakers. I typically wear a 9 or a 9. 5 street shoe, and most reviews said to order up so I ordered a 10. 5. They were huge! I returned them and ordered a 9.

5. Still big and not much difference from the 10. 5! I wore them once t practice and landed funny on my foot, because of the very tall heel, my ankle rolled and I tore a ligament! So not only can I not return the as I wore them to practice, but I have a hurt ankle.

Ordered some new shoes for the rest of the season. Hope they will work out better than these!.

I have purchased these shoes 2 years in a row because I enjoyed the fit, comfort, and low profile (I’ve rolled my ankle a few times in higher sneakers. ) But they only last me through a year of teaching.

I teach 3 ballet classes in a row on M,W,F and use them sometimes for other classes. Each year, the canvas in the demi-pointe begins to rip away from the plastic ball of the foot leaving the side of metatarsals bare.

With the shoe coming open at the seams, the ball of my foot slightly rests on the plastic part and it becomes quite uncomfortable to wear. I’m surprised they only last me a year. Perhaps I need a wider size, but I’m disappointed that the shoes have come apart in the exact same place and way for two years in a row.

Guys, believe me when I say this, these are literally amazing, I bought these a few months ago because I was in need of some white shoes. First time I put them on I felt like I was floating, these are just so so comfortable, the insole was soft but I went for an extra memory foam one (because I have one in all my shoes) for some extra extra comfort and support.

Believe me when I tell you, they feel amazing, comfortable to walk around for hours on end, and they look REALLY good, and the compliments I’ve received on them don’t do them justice. Not much more to say, an overwhelmingly positive review, loved the trainers, they look amazing and are exceedingly comfortable, even more than Nike air or adidas ultraboost.

If you’re doubting then absolutely go ahead with them, and I recommend finding a discount from UNiDAYS(thank me later) because the total amount I paid for these was like £50. Amazing!.

I’ve bought these shoes in the past and loved the look and feel. I was really disappointed with my experience on this purchase as the product came poorly made and after two wears the white lining on the inside of the shoe came off.

I wish manufactures took more pride in creating a quality product for the price they’re charging. If you’re going to give me a product that falls apart, should be charging so much. Customer service did resolve my issue with a refund but unfortunately I still have a damaged product that I will have to fix if I want to wear.

Decent looking, but the quality control was bad for a shoe that costs $100+. When I took the shoes out of the box the panels of the upper were separating and even the embroidered logo on the side was sloppy.

Even the extra laces they included in the box were torn at the ends. The canvas they used feels cheap and the sole isn’t very comfortable. Wouldn’t recommend for the price.

I really wanted to like these shoes. The colors were cute, and I love the idea of a shoe made just for women. However…. I wear an 11 in street shoes and usually buy an 11. 5 in gym/workout shoes. No 11.

5 was available in this mode, nor was a 12 offered. I bought the 11, and sure enough, they are a bit short. My toes rub against the front. Not bad. but still. I was going to return them, but decided to keep them and see if they’d be better once I broke them in.

Nope. Still not really comfortable. I wear them for casual wear ( my volunteer work at a food bank) and to my yoga class. I won’t wear them for hard workouts or treadmill. They just don’t have the support I need, which I have in my Brooks.

Also…the laces are a bit skimpy. Too bad…wish they had worked out better for me and my foot.

These were my first pair of Jazzercise shoes! Ryka cross-trainers were recommended to me but I had no idea what style to get. There are many different “models” that all advertise essentially the same thing – lightweight, cushioned, arch protection, designed for women with a handy pivot point.

I went with these because gray/silver/light blue/pink was the most palatable color combination I could find at the time. They worked for me, but they ended up being just a little too firm for me on the bottom.

I tried another model after this pair, Vestige RZX, that worked better for me than these. Ryka, if you’re reading this, please add more solid colors to your catalogue 🙏🏻.

I was disappointed with the shoes structure and fit. I’m very active and participate in Jazzercise 5-6 days/week. After wearing a week, I had numerous blisters, and was frequently tripping due to uneven and odd texture of the sole.

The width of the heel of the shoe is much to large. My foot was constantly sliding around inside the shoe, to the side and front and back. I tied the shoes as tight as I could, but then that created discomfort as my foot would still slide and the arch support was then pressing on the in front or behind the inside of my arch.

The shoe also did not have the flexibility to point or flex my foot. But the colors are fun and the for mundane walking, the shoes are very comfortable and supportive. But if you need to articulate precise, sharp movements, this is not the right shoe style.

I bought this shoe specifically for Zumba and I was not disappointed! The pivot point on the toe box (bottom sole) is great for turns and slides. I can use it on or off a carpeted surface. The flexible upper material makes moves on the balls of the feet much easier, and jumps and stomps absorb shock/impact pretty well-I may replace the inner soles with a tougher memory foam, as I do high-impact Zumba.

RYKA SHOES: I downloaded the size/fit guide from the Ryka website and accordingly ordered a whole side up from what I wear in a regular sneaker (Converse, Adidas). It was perfect. I would suggest you do the fit before assuming a size.

Researching many shoes and their uses/reviews, this is what I ended up ordering and am happy with the performance for what I was going to use them for. Makes soreness post-workout much lesser. Great shoe!.

I’m a size 10, with plenty of space. Ordered ryka vivid size 10 and those were a little loose. These however were simply too snug! Pinched along my pinky and just felt like they weren’t letting my feet breathe.

It was uncomfortable. First pair that Im disappointed in. Will return.

I liked the look of this shoe so decided to try a new brand. I like that it was advertised as having a narrower heel (which I desperately need in an athletic shoe). When I first put them on they were really stiff, but I decided to wear it for the day and see if they work or not.

Basically, was I going to have blisters on my heels or not. They broke in quickly and by the end of the day were fitting great. I’m so glad I bought them, and I’m kinda excited about the next time I need to wear them.

The shoes are pretty comfortable, and I like that you can do a runner’s loop with the additional lace eyelets. They are really breathable during my workouts, and I love that they are vegan. Regarding sizing, they are the perfect width but they are definitely half a size too long.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t return them to see if the smaller size fit better as I bought them on sale, and Reebok only allow one exchange, which wasn’t suitable for me as the smaller size wasn’t necessarily going to fit better.

In hindsight, I’d have bought both pairs at once and returned the pair that didn’t fit as well. A lot of reviews on here have mentioned the sizing being slightly too big. The shoes themselves look pretty cool but I dislike the light green colour on the sole.

It’s very visible when walking, so clashes with any outifts that don’t work with light green! A black sole would be more versatile.

I have owned all types and styles of training shoes across all major brands. I owned a pair of Reeboks in the past and loved them. I found these shoes and after wearing them for several lifts/workouts, I don’t think ill ever go discount store/brand again.

You get what you pay for and with these Nano X1’s, they did not disappoint. They felt extremely stable, the break in period was quick and seamless and they look great. I wouldn’t recommend these as a “cross trainer” shoe, maybe very short distance runs at best, but if you’re looking for a competitive, stylish and top notch weight lifting shoe, I’d highly recommend them.

**Only downside was the back of the shoe, by your achillies tendon, is very stiff and will rub and may cause redness or a blister. I wouldn’t wear low fitting ankle socks with these especially when they’re brand new.

If you stick with a higher sock, like crew length, you won’t notice it. **.

I was worried that I’d be teetering and tottering all over the place with these 3. 5-inch stilettos but they are sturdy and very comfortable, making these booties a joy to dance in. They are super sexy and very well made.

I especially like being able to get a snug fit with the laces and having the ankle support. I normally wear a 7/7. 5 in regular shoes, and I got these in a 7, and they fit just right. Thank you, Yami, for offering these amazing booties!!.

I love the fit, the immediate comfort and the stability I get. I didn’t love the sole so brought them to my cobblers to replace with leather for social dancing at bars. Think I’m going to buy a third pair and replace with suede for social dancing or lessons in studio – where I can count on wood floors without liquid.

I have tons of dance shoes but none are as comfortable or stylish as my Yami lace up booties. I’m never buying anything other than Yami shoes! It’s the padding that makes all the difference. If you’ve not tried a Yami dance shoe yet, do it now!!!.

This shoe is super cute & works well for the dance team. It is a little stiff because of the sequins & high top. One note is that I wish it wouldn’t come with the one side bent down as this affects the show’s use.

They all came that way!.

Bought black ones for a 6 years old, lasted less than a month. The scuffing revealed white under the rubber and toe tips which makes the shoe look super deteriorated. Not great quality for a kids sneaker.

I love these shoes, but on my life, they are so hard to put on! I have to loosen them all the way or else they will never slip on. It is insane. Nothing like Converse. They are cute once they are on though.

I bought this shoe for a spunky look with a sundress. The items did not flow. I liked the shoe and it arrived timely. Just did not mesh with the dress.

Only used them once so far. I got them for Zumba class. They’re very comfortable and I can do all the moves with no squeaking or sticking. After about an hour, I do feel a bit of tightness in the front.

That’s when I usually stop. These were the lowest price dance shoes I could find. I’m not a pro, so they work fine for me. I read that they run small, so I went up a half size.

I’m a 64 yr old urban line dancer in Maryland. We started dancing outside in parking lot on asphalt and concrete in August. (No masks thank God) With my regular dance shoes- I was sore after class and next day.

Called Dancewear and they recommended these. Bought 10. 5-ran small- very tight in toes. Exchanged for 11. 5- perfect. Never worn this style shoe- split sole is different. I’ve worn them to 2 classes- 3 hrs parking lot dancing.

They are light, cushioned,not slippery, nice looking. No soreness next day. Most comfortable shoes I’ve danced in. Price is fantastic. Got compliments- from younger set too- which doesn’t happen much.

Happy and would buy again.

This is my first time purchasing shoes online correctly. I was concerned because my feet are considered wide and the only width listed is medium. They fit my feet wonderfully and even though there is no “support” for the arch, my arch is still supported, there just isn’t a hard sole there.

I positively love them and I may never return to purchasing regular shoes. My order came in within a week of purchase. One small issue was I never received an email telling me my order shipped out. Other than that, very happy with my purchase.
