Trek the terrains in reliable support of the Ridgeview hiking shoe by Teva. Cushiony footbed, airy lining and supportive Vibram Mega Grip rubber sole make this lace-up an ideal companion for multi-day adventures.
I bought these about two years ago and have hiked miles and miles in them. I’ve worn them on day hikes and backpacking trips. Yesterday, I did a 9. 5 mile hike and today my feet are killing me, which unfortunately, has been a common outcome of distance hikes for me in these.
I would say these can be great shoes but definitely not go-to boots for all your hiking needs That said, they are waterproof, I’ve forded streams and stepped directly into puddles that were deeper than I thought they’d be, my feet always come up dry.
They’re also quite durable, the color has faded but the seams and soles are in good nick; the boot remains intact. I’ve tried different levels of sock thickness, lacing configurations and even pretaping my hotspots but consistently around mile 3-4 is when my feet start to throb.
If you buy these, use them on easy, short trails and carry a light pack.
I really liked the way they looked, but some things never change. Whatever proprietary waterproofing Teva uses just does not breath at all. After a 7. 5 mile moderate shed hunt, my feet were soaked. They looked like they had been in the tub for a few hours.
I had a pair of Teva Raith’s a few years ago with the same issue. No point in having waterproof shoes if they just leave your feet wet from sweat. On top of that, my heels were all over the place in these.
Combined with the wet, I developed 4 blisters, one on each side of both heels. Either use a more breathable membrane or no waterproofing at all. This was my last attempt at anything Teva. Sent them back.
Just picked these up from teva. com last week. Going to go into detail on what Teva did well and what could be changed. On what they did well: The heel area of the midsole is curved upward at the very back.
This allows the heel to strike more naturally which is to say -right under the heel. Comparing this build to that of the Arrowood Riva, the Riva’s heel extends beyond the back of the foot which causes the back of the shoe to buckle in behind the heel.
For me anyways, my right heel always feels a little loose compared to my right so the fact that the Ridgeview mid puts the heel strike under the heel is a win over the Arrowood Riva( which I wore for a few days).
The Ridgeview is WIDE! I wear a 12 B in work boots so I put a thin doctor sholls odor eater under the Teva insole to help shim the foot up. SIZING- I wear a size 12 in everything except for Tevas. Size 13 for Teva.
I tried a size 12 and my toe went right to the front of the boot. Design wise I feel that Teva should have used the same leather trim material used on the boot as the tongue material also instead of the scrunchy polyester weave they went with.
The lace width is perfect, the eyelets aren’t too close together across the foot. The amount of outsole on the bottom towards the back concerns me. It ends up in a very thin strip clued to the mid soul.
Hopefully this won’t peel off, time will tell. Also if they wanted to effectively put their branding on it, that little piece of fabric that folds down on the uppers is not a good spot. They should have engraved TEVA in yellow on the outside of the toe bumper.
These are Boo ts with a lot of cushion to them And the midsole sort of looks like that off of a Hoka shoe. So far they seem to be pretty breathable even with the waterproof lining but we haven’t gotten into the thick of summer quite yet.
I would say these are much more breathable already than the Arrowood Riva’s’s that I wore for a few days. I may update the rating as time goes on.
Equipped with waterproof GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology, the Fresh Foam Arishi Trail men’s running shoe is built to withstand your trail running adventures in any weather. The lightweight Fresh Foam midsole offers cushioning for added support and unmatched comfort.
The AT Tread outsole offers optimal traction in any environment, while the reinforced tip can help protect your toes from damage upon impact with roots or rocks.
The shoes are great, however the laces are way too short. I bought two pair of these (one gray, one black) and both have laces that are so short I can barely tie them. To make matter worse, when I contacted New Balance, their customer service reps indicated that they have no way to send me longer laces.
The only recourse is that I should return them. This was their response to me asking for 2 longer sets of laces: “Thank you for contacting New Balance. At this time we do not offer replacement laces.
Total customer satisfaction is very important to us and we are currently working on having this available in the future. ” Obviously, this is an incredibly stupid response from a manufacturer. Let’s be clear – they make the shoes – in a lot of different sizes.
Which means they have laces in a lot of different sizes. But they can’t supply replacement laces? And they’re “working on having this available in the future” ? They couldn’t send a more condescending, generic, formulaic response if they tried.
Embarrassing. New Balance has been in business since 1906. They claim to be responsible and customer oriented. Yet after 116 years they cannot manage the simple task of supplying the correct length laces for the only product they make – shoes.
Rockport uses only soft, genuine leathers that give you the quality and comfort you expect in a casual shoe. Each element has been engineered to flex in all directions, giving you the freedom to move confidently and comfortably in all directions.

I have been purchasing shoes from Rockport for 35-40 years. In fact just about all Rockport shoes in my size have fit perfectly as soon as I put them on for the first time. I just purchased a pair of Black Ridgefield Eureka shoes online.
It was the first time I have every bought shoes online. I had difficulty putting the shoes on my feet when I took them out of the package and I wondered if my regular size wasn’t fitting me. Then I noticed that the way the shoelaces were put through the eyelets closest to my ankle in a different way so that the shoelace ends weren’t dangling over the sides of the shoe.
From a sales point they did look nicer this way. However, I couldn’t pull the tongues back to make enough room for my feet to easily slip into the shoes. I redid the lace on the two eyelet on both shoes and instantly had no problem getting the shoes on my feet.
They fit perfectly. I assume I am not the only customer who has faced this challenge. I love them so much that I just put in an order for another pair of Ridgefield Eureka shoes, this pair in brown. I love your shoes so much that I don’t even consider purchasing any other brand of shoes.
ordered from here as direct replacement for my seven or eight year old Rockports. I like the Rockports because they offer wide and I have hobbit feet. I ordered everything the same but got the width even one wider which is perfect.
I am glad they offered wider than normal wide because the tongue has changed. It seems to have points at the top sides- it is weird. I guess this design change keeps grit and moisture out more but it adds a two rub points to the top of each foot.
Not an issue as I break in this pair so far. I love the comfort and all day walkability of this workhorse shoe.
Years ago I started a new job where I walked on concrete all day 10 hours a day. Within a month I was stumbling and limping in pain hardly able to walk, when a older employee approached me and ask about my problem.
I told him I was on my 3rd pair shoes already trying to help the pain. He told me one word, “Rockport”! This was back around 1993 and the only place around that sold them was in the next state about 100 miles away.
He said they would set me back around $110 but would be well worth it. Then next day he came in with a Rockport box and said he had found he had a new pair in the closet! I asked what I owed him and he said, give me $80 and they are yours.
I paid him and noticed as he was walking off, he had on a brand new pair! I opened the box and it was his old half worn out shoes he had been wearing the day before! I swapped out my new tennis shoes with these worn out old Rockports and after the week was over I had improved so much I was estatic! I wore those old shoes probably 6 months before I finally made the road trip from South Carolina into North Carolina to the /Rockport shoe store! I worked there 7 years with no more problems always wearing Rockport.
Now almost 30 years later and at 64 years old my knees are worn out and feet illing me again.
Columbia Summertide – Men’s Shoes : Ancient Fossil/Light Sand : Add some air to your step with the Columbia Summertide. They’re made of breathable recycled material uppers and signature foam midsoles for all-day, planet-friendly comfort.

Really like these water shoes. Wore them on a hike to a lake. Kept them on for swimming, rock jumping, paddle boarding, etc. Really comfortable and effective. They do a good job of keeping sand and little rocks out, and they drain quickly after getting out of the water.
Soles have a good grip so I wasn’t slipping on large rocks. Perfect shoes for me.
I wore these for white water rafting and general walking activities near water and they worked great. Drained water well and felt comfortable. My biggest complaint is the design. You might notice there’s a white label in the inner lining of the shoe, it’s not supppeerr noticeable but enough that I tried removing it, had no luck, and was planning to return it.
The blue sole is also a bit more noticeable IRL than it is in the photos which makes the white a bit less prominent.
Stay agile and stylish when you wear the Cole Haan Grand Motion Stitchlite Sneaker. This sneaker lends your feet ample support, thanks to the GRAND. S technology and GRANDFAM midsole. The Stitchlite knit upper is designed to let your feet breathe.
It could be just my foot, but these shoes are not very comfortable. The back of the shoe presses against the lower section of my heel. It doesn’t hurt but it’s uncomfortable and because of this every step I take the shoes pull my socks down.
I tried different soles and that helped a tiny bit but, still pulls my socks off. I unfortunately can’t return them because I wore them outside for 20 mins but, I wouldn’t recommend, and I am a huge Cole Haan fan otherwise.
This is the second pair of lace-up shoes (the laces are springy) I’ve gotten recently. The first were Keen closed-toe sandals, which I wear around the house. These shoes can be worn casually or for going out.
They’re not for business or formal, but good for anywhere else. They could even be boat shoes, because the sole has a good grip Close enough to true to size. Almost zero maintenance for the cloth uppers.
Four stars out of five because I have to tighten the laces a bit extra so they won’t be loose.
Idk what fashion school dropout paired a light blue and white Polo with dark blue jeans and dark blue and brown shoes. Does not match at all. Mens warehouse, you are partly to blame for men’s horrific fashion choices.
Teva Hurricane XLT2 Women’s SandalsThe newly updated Hurricane XLT2 sandal from Teva provides exceptional comfort and protection, allowing you to move freely and with confidence as you walk. An EVA midsole ensures lightweight cushioning while the Durabrasion rubber outsole offers optimal grip and traction.
Breathable Upper The upper of the Hurricane XLT2 is highly breathable and ventilated, allowing cool air to circulate for a drier, healthier environment. Additionally, excess sweat and moisture is actively and efficiently wicked away to leave your feet feeling cool, dry, and comfortable.
The recycled PET webbing is located in the upper and is abrasion-resistant as well as fast-drying for a more durable feel. The cushioned heel tab adds comfort and stability while the injection moulded strap ends provide quick and easy grip which is also adjustable.
An easy hook and loop closure enables quick, efficient put on and take off as well as ensuring you find the right fit to keep your feet secure as you walk. EVA Foam Midsole EVA foam resides in the midsole for lightweight cushioning and comfort.
The EVA also helps to attenuate shock and impact placed on the joints, lessening the potential risk of injury and discomfort. A nylon shank stabilises and supports your feet, ideal for unpredictable terrain.
Durabrasion Rubber Outsole Optimal grip and traction are provided by the Durabrasion rubber, giving a firm, assured footing for full confidence as you move. Flex grooves are situated throughout the outsole, allowing flexibility and a full, unrestricted range of motion in all directions.
I’ve had my share of hiking sandals but none felt like sandals, just heavy vented shoes. I think my problem was buying hiking sandals from hiking shoe companies and not looking at sandal companies for hiking sandals.
My last pair (Keen), trapped rocks in the sandals, the sandals was so difficult to put on that I would suffer with the rocks under my foot rather than try to remove the sandals and put them back on. Most of my sandals have last 2-3 hikes before I gave up on them.
Not this Teva. I’ve worn the Hurricane XLT2 Teva on 4 hikes already and I’ve had zero issues. They feel like sandals and the sole has plenty of support and protection from the terrain. I’ve yet to stub my toe which was a big concern.
I’m in between sizes so got a size above per recommendation. When I got the sandals I was really worried it was too big but with three adjustable straps, it was never an issue. I slid my foot as far forward as possible and strapped down the heel strap so my foot wouldn’t slide and it hasn’t.
Another concern was the plastic triangle holding the straps was hitting a knuckle when I tried it on. But once on the trail it wasn’t an issue and I totally forgot about it. I’m really happy with this purchase.
I had been looking at this sandals for some time but they always sold out. If this one ever ware out, I’ll purchase the exact same one. No more shopping around.
It’s a shame – this product would easily be 5 stars if you could only adjust the front strap. Really poor design flaw. I guess I have “thin” feet up front because there’s about half an inch of space between my skin and the front strap (and I’m a 6′, 240lb weightlifter for context).
I saw another review say that the pre-adjusted strap is too tight. I understand that the single ankle strap is appealing for easy on-and-off but this is definitely at the expense of poor fit for many foot types.
I travel to Maine a lot and wouldn’t be able to wear these in the rocky water nor on light, rocky trails. With all of the extra space flopping around up front I would likely catch the front material on a rock and trip, and that’s what I bought these for, unfortunately.
I love TEVA’s products and this is a major miss! I would definitely recommend trying these on in person before ordering online. Bummer.
I love my Tevas. I am sorry to say, though, that the Velcro straps wear out and become unusable long before the sandal does. THe ends of the hook part of velcro break off. The hook and fiber parts both are magnets for all sorts of detritus: cat hair, bits of of wool from socks, grass seeds, fibers, etc.
It jams up the hook parts, making it not ‘hooky’ anymore. You can’t clean the velcro. Third problem is the cheap seam attaching the velcro to the strap is one light, cheap thread. It breaks easily and then the velcro separates from the strap.
The adhesive used to attach the velcro to the strap loosens up or breaks, making the velcro strap come off the strap. The glue used on the velcro is one or two drops, certainly not enough, or not good enough, to maintain the adhesion to the strap.
All in all, the velcro strap is pretty much useless. You should use a thread through buckle instead of velcro. because the velcro creates too many problems, I hesitate to recommend the Teva to a friend.
Slip on theFuelCore NERGIZE women’straining shoe and go. Modern style meets comfy cushioning in this all day, everyday kick. Performance-inspired comfort is characterized by the snug textile upper with a REVlite cushioned midsole.
Meanwhile, the sleek aesthetic means you can wear it on rest days and weekend getaways. Lace-up closure adds additional support, while the comfortable bootie construction helps ensure you can slip it on and go, no sweat.
REVlite midsole foam is significantly lighter than standard New Balance performance foams.
If you’ve ordered New Balance shoes before, these will be true to size. If this is your first pair of New Balance, they run a half size small. I wear a 6. 5 normally, but in New Balance shoes I always wear a size 7.
I’ve purchased three different styles/pairs of New Balance Shoes this year, and with all of them I got a size 7, and they were perfect. That being said, these shoes are only cute casual shoes. To me they have a relaxed fit that wouldn’t work for anything physical.
Definitely not a running, walking, or “on your feet all day” shoe. They are just cute, not functional. They are comfortable but offer no real support, arch or cushion. I still totally love them because I had zero expectations and just wanted a pair of casual athetlic shoes.
Shoes for the person that wants you to think that they might exercise, but they don’t. They are made cheap and will not last, so make sure you get a good deal. If you pull too hard on the loop to put them on, they will make an unpleasant sound, alerting you that they will rip.
The laces will not make the shoes tighter, but they will make the tongue bunch up. And last but not least, the heel is not comfortable against your skin without ankle socks. I would not recommend no show socks with these.
Not happy. New Balance should know this material is not right for footwear. I have been wearing these for 2-3 weeks, comfortable, yes, but two problems: 1. working out they easily slip off the heels doing certain exercises like down dog, mountain climbers or plank jacks.
Mostly unhappy with how dirty the get. The light material is not protected. After washing them in the machine the insoles came out, they are sticky and hard to put back. Shoes did not come clean after washing.
I am not a mechanic working in grease! I go to the gym and water plants in yard. DSW won’t take them back after wearing them. The shoes are USELESS to me now. Tortise and Hare lets you return worn shoes up to 60 days if not happy for any reason.
If this company does not protect customers from defective products then I won’t shop there anymore.
I love these sneakers!! I wear a 9 in almost every shoe I buy (and I’m an avid new balance wearer) but in these I found I needed half a size larger to compensate for my wide feet. I just bought my second pair after about a year w the first ones.
They’re very comfortable but also really cute and fashionable!! I will warn you, the first one, maybe two times you wear them they may rub the back of the Achilles! My first pair did on both heels and I almost returned them when I realized that.
But I wore them out of the house to give it a chance and after two days they broke in and it was never an issue again. Now with the new pair I recently bought only the left side rubbed and it was only for the first day I wore them.
If they’re still selling this shoe when I need a new pair again next year I will certainly repurchase a third pair!.
In 1932 Charles Danner opened his bootmaking business, risking his future on a stubborn belief that, regardless of the economy, superior craftsmanship mattered. While much has changed since the first Danner boot was made, our dedication to crafting a superior product has not.
Hold a Danner boot in your hand and you’ll notice the hand crafted precision. Try it on and you’ll feel the difference. Test it against the elements and you’ll appreciate the value of a product that is built to last.
I purchased these after extensive research. In the past I have preferred a slide style sandals in the past, because I have found the toe strap of the flip flop type too uncomfortable. I decided to try this lost coast based on the reviews and found them to be exceptionally comfortable.
I have been wearing these consistently during off work hours since I purchased them about 6 weeks ago. The strapping between toes were my biggest concern, and I am happy to report that I have found that these are exceptionally comfortable.
The fit is perfect for me. I am a size 13, and have a wider toe box and a slimmer heel. The Danner last 503 seems to be the best fit for me, and these sandals work great for my foot shape. The heel fit is great and locks in as advertised.
While I didn’t even give the outsole of this sandal much consideration, I could not help noticing how well it performs, to the point that I wore them on a brief but moderate hike and realized how well they performed.
I will be looking to get another pair, probably in black when they become available. The service was fantastic as they delivered three days after online purchase. My only complaint is that the label was a sticker attached to the insole, that was very difficult to remove and left a film that required a lot of effort to remove and added up staining the leather.
This was just a very minor issue, since this product checked all the important boxes. The concept for getting what you pay for is in full view with these sandals. I have bought others for less money in the past, but I have never been as happy with those purchases as I am with this one.
Please continue to provide quality over quantity and you will have me as a fan ( and customer),for life.
I love these sandals, but I wish the brown ones had been in stock. I’ll probably wear a pair them the rest of my life. Sadly, they only last about a year. This will be my third pair in the years. I hope they last a little longer this time.
In case anyone’s interested, they always break where the thong attaches to the shoe. The leather fails first, then the core fabric after.
This is one of the best slides I have owned. It fits Nice and snug and extremely comfortable. No slipping off my feet. Don’t need to clinch my toes to keep them on. Pretty true to size. I do have a wide foot and unfortunately they don’t come in widths (wish the did) so went up a size.
Bought these to knock around in but while camping ended up wearing them on a light hike and they worked beautifully. Traction was great and again no slipping on the foot. I now where them everywhere every condition.
AfterPay Available – The laidback design of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star High Top shoe gets a hiking-inspired twist in the Run Star Hike. Iconic lace-up canvas comes together with the classic star ankle patch, while a foxing stripe draws attention to the lugged platform sole.
These shoes are AWESOME. I have big ankles, but they make my ankles look good, which is what I really look for in a shoe. They also make me mad tall, and I get tons of compliments when I wear them. I love them, they truly are inspired by streetwear and they’re practically the future of fashion.
My one con about these is that I’ve only worn them like 7 times and they already seem to have little wrinkles in the foam. I’m 5’9″ and weight about 160lbs, so maybe that is contributing to the little wrinkles in the foam near where my foot creases.
Otherwise, I am VERY satisfied with my purchase, they fit great and look dope.
Comfortable design and sporty styling come together in the Propet Stability Fly Sneaker. This sneaker features an EVA midsole and a polyurethane insole with gel heel insert that offer enhanced cushioning and arch support, ensuring every step you take is as easy as a breeze.
Propet is a rapidly growing shoe company dedicated to making the worlds best walking shoes. Propet shoes are better walking shoes because they’re designed and manufactured to be your most comfortable walking experience ever.
Extra attention is paid to giving your foot support where it is needed, more cushy comfort where it counts and more room where your foot’s moving parts need freedom when walking. The result has to be tried to be believed! Shouldn’t you be wearing the world’s best walking shoes?.
I ordered 2 pair this time around and really love both. The ‘stability fly’ was a second choice because the other shoe I ordered was out of stock. What a happy substitute! Fits/feels great and no problem with orthotics fitting into the footbed.
I do have to comment that I love the service from the healthy feet store. I received an email telling me that my first choice was not available, called customer service, conversed with the most helpful woman from Lancaster and got really great shoes very quickly.
No problems with the credit card refund, everything was a breeze. Thank you.
I wore Propet athletic shoes a few years ago because they are one of the few shoe manufacturers (along with New Balance) that make narrow widths. Since then, I have been buying cheaper medium width shoes and have developed worsening back and hip pain.
Will be 70 in August and thought it was aging and arthritis (and part of it almost certainly is). finally decided to “splurge” on these shoes and within a week pain has dramatically decreased. They are remarkably lightweight and comfortable, yet seem sturdy and well made.
Getting lots of compliments on the styling. Guess you “get what you pay for”, thanks Propet!.
I purchased these for my dad who’s diabetic. He’s retired from the both the military and the post office and his feet have gone through war and back but his medicare supplement only allows for a new pair of diabetic shoes once a year so I bought him these as an extra pair for Father’s day and he loves them.
These are much more stylish then then the traditional velcro shoes offered through medical providers. So far no complaints and trust me, he’d let me know if he had them. I work in the medical field and can attest that these are GREAT! They are extra deep and therapeutic in that they promote healthy circulation in your feet.
The insoles have orthotic arch support and conform to the contours of the foot to reduce pressure on the bottom of the foot. They are also designed to reduce the risk of skin breakdown thus the interior is soft with no protruding stitching or seams that can rub against the foot or cause ulceration.
They have a higher, wider and deeper toe-box and they have stretchable uppers to help with pressure points.

I love this shoe and wore my last pair for three hard summers before needing to replace. I tried other shoes and find myself back here buying an identical pair because nothing else measured up. I climb on fallen trees, camp, canoe (water resistant and dry relatively quickly), trail run, and hike in these and they have been perfect for all activities.
They have fantastic grip and are very comfortable. I have wide feet and these were a perfect fit for me. I can really feel the trail/tree when wearing these, but a hard enough sole to be protected from sharp rocks when off trail.
I can’t think of a better shoe for stability + being able to feel the path underneath you. I suspect that if you do not have wide feet you may want a half size smaller. I purchased a green pair and loved the color.
I usually wear trail shoes everywhere but they don’t breath well so I decided to try these. While I suffer the waterproofness I’m used to with trail shoes, these shoes are amazing. They are amazingly comfortable no matter what I am doing.
I work in construction and they make a great office and field transition as well as weekend activity slayers. The grip these shoes offer are unmatched, I can climb an asphalt roof or large boulder on a trail like spiderman.
The only downside about the grip is it causes me to make a sound on VCT flooring like I am peeling my feet off the floor. So everyone at the grocery store can hear me coming and my boss knows where I am when I’m at the office.
Otherwise easy to wear all day long with no tired feet at the end of the day.
In all respects, this is a well-made, well-fitting, comfortable walking shoe. The arch support is perfect for a low shoe of its design, and the length of the laces was selected to provide just enough room for an effective tie without dragging on the ground.
The materials appear quite durable bit light-weight, giving this shoe the feel of a sneaker while retaining the toughness required for traversing rocky terrain and forest paths. The outer sole provides plenty of grip on wet or slippery surfaces.
Admittedly, I have had these for only a few weeks and time will tell how durable this shoe is. So far, I’m impressed by both its design and performance.
The Vans skate style you know gets an upgrade with the UltraRange, an all-terrain shoe designed to take you from the sidewalk up to the trails and even to the beach. A modern look, complete with grippy reverse lugs, reflects current streetwear trends with its monochrome combination, and whether you’re on your board or going for a walk, its overall composition improves responsiveness and cushioning, reduces fatigue, and is reinforced for long-term wear.
Upper features water-resistant premium leather and ballistic nylon. Midsole features co-molded UltraCush Lite foam and rubber based on Vans’ Original Waffle outsole, offering more comfort and versatility, so you can skate longer without additional stress or fatigue.
LuxLiner offers a close fit and a fast-reacting, responsive shape. Reverse waffle lugs give you even more grip and handle practically any terrain. Original Waffle gum rubber outsole offers excellent boardfeel and more control.
Modern shape with monochrome colorways. DURACAP reinforcements in ollie areas enhance the pair’s durability. Part of the Vault by Vans line. Imported.
These are the third pair of Vans Ultrarange shoes I’ve bought and I’ve never bought the same shoes more than once before. Comfortable all day, a nice breeze through the mesh on a warm day. I liked the previous version of the rapidweld with the fully connected tongue, but I like the partial version also.
I got the blue and it’s even more striking in person and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. I wear a 12 in most regular shoes and the 12 is perfect in these.
I have these and I use them for travel, as I can easily walk 25km a day and needed something better than a skate shoe, but still stylish. They are breathable, supportive, required no break in period, and don’t aggravate any leg or foot pain.
Easy to get on and off and very lightweight in my suitcase. Mine are the mesh ones. In winter I may get a more rugged pair. I have used them for city walking, hiking, and just going around town. I liked mine so much that my husband wanted some too! I got him these ones! He is really happy with them.
He wears them with jeans, khakis, and shorts. He has bad knees, but would not wear a runner style shoe with pants, he preferred a skate shoe. His gait suffers due to his knees and the skate shoes were not supportive enough.
He is really comfortable in these and due to the shape of the shoe, his gait is a little more straightened out. Great quality shoe. Supportive without sacrificing style.
I was hoping that this sneaker would work for my feet (I have a wide toebox, but an average height instep) since I wear slip-on Vans comfortably. Unfortunately, the width of the sole was too narrow for me and the sides of my toes bulged out over the sole in a way I find uncomfortable and unattractive.
The fabric had to stretch uncomfortably tight over the toebox as well. The sneaker was lightweight and looked great and was true to size for length, but skip it if you have a wide foot.
The Northside Brille II Water Shoe is a comfy and convenient hybrid shoe. This looks like a regular sneaker, but it’s actually made of quick-drying neoprene and mesh. Drawstring laces make it easy to quickly cinch your shoes, and an extra grippy sole provides traction on slippery surfaces.
Nylon mesh upper. Quick-drying fabric. Cushioned EVA footbed. Bungee cord for easy in and out. Flexible thermoplastic rubber sole.
I’m so happy that I’ve finally found my do-it-all pants! I prefer to wear pants even in the summer. I’ve worn these paddling, jogging, dog-walking, and hiking (on groomed trails, these won’t last if your trail requires you to bushwhack frequently).
Love the loose fit, deep front pockets, and the short inseam. Fantastic value when they go on sale! The sizing does run large. I’m 5’2 and have muscular thighs and calves. I was so surprised that my 30″ waist fit into a small, with room to cinch down even more.
The listed 26″ inseam is accurate as I measured the same thing at home – another bonus for short individuals! MPG please make these pants in more colours!.
This is my second pair, which I use for slippers because they have elastic laces and will stay on my feet. They don’t have any arch support but otherwise make fine slippers. I have used them as water shoes on a long canoe trip, but the soft bottom is hard on your feet when you are walking over rocks.

Boots are generally a hit and miss so it is very difficult to get one right. I read the reviews on this boot and figured I would give it a try. Well – I have another pair coming now! These boots have quickly become my favorite boot and they are super comfortable to wear.
I could stand for several hours without any residual pain, while some of the other boots I own give me pain at night. Buy them – you will not regret it.
These arrived in time for another round of icy cold weather in my area. I was really excited about them arriving. The boots are very durable and attractive. They are replacing another pair of Sketchers that lasted about 14 years.
The only issue i have with them is that the top of the boot doesn’t seem to secure around my leg as nicely as my former pair. I am wondering if that is why they are calling these relaxed fit. for people with fat/big legs.
The uppers on my foot fit well and are comfortable. These are well made and i like them. I think they are very attractive.
I usually buy expensive walking boots. But these are a quarter of the price and actually better as far as comfort in my experience. The extra half size makes a big difference too. Clearly the build quality won’t be as good as dearer options.
I’ve had these boots for two years now. I do daily trail walking/light hiking and they’re great for that. Very comfortable and supportive, and they’ve held up well. My feet feel happy in them. However water has always leaked in from where the leather and mesh meet on the widest part of the boot.
Also, if the mesh toe top gets wet it absorbs the water, it doesn’t roll off. If it’s cold out, I feel the cold water through the boot on my toes even if they don’t get wet. I don’t think it’s due to age, they’ve always been this way.
They could be a little wider at the widest point, IMO. I am 7. 5, wide foot small heel, high arches. I got size 8 and can’t wear them with thick socks. Any larger and they’d be too long in the toe. You can’t adjust the boot any wider with laces due to the tongue and sides being attached to be “waterproof.
” But the toe box is great, nice and roomy. One last complaint: the low ankle is comfortable and supportive, but wide open so lots of dirt, sand, gravel can kick up into them. In summary, I like these boots a lot but will probably look for something else when replacing them.
For those who trod the untroddable. Those who strive for confident grip. Those who insist upon silk linen, cloud like comfort in the harshest of Alby Mangle’s situations. Buy these ones. This is my second set of Teva Grand View Boots.
Last year, whilst travelling Australia on Bicycle and walking, I punished, scrapped, climbed, jumped and generally abused these boots. Every day. All day. They were my only set of footwear, and they stood proud and strong for the entire year.
They ARE comfortable from day one. They ARE waterproof. They ARE a little harder to slip onto your feet than some others brands. However they are also harder to slip off. This means at camp, you can have them completely untied and they are casual and comfy.
I purchased these for a road trip though Utah to easily hike and camp. Pros: 1. Easy to wear the first time you wear them. I didn’t get blisters and it was easy to walk up a gravel hill multiple times.
2. Flexible boot meaning it moved with my foot. Some hiking boots are super stiff. These feel like a cross between a shoe and a boot. 3. Good looking Things to consider, but these are still my fav hiking boot to date so I would still buy and recommend them: 1.
The toe area is really spacious, it weirds me out when I think about it, but when I don’t think about it, it’s nice to have that flexibility in the toes. I can tighten the boot and ankle but the shoelaces don’t go down to the toes themselves.
I grew up in the 90s where you tie your foot into your shoe so it can’t move at all, so this spaciousness just feels strange but also feels like freedom for my toes and the ball of my foot. Now, if I read this review before buying them, I wouldn’t have bought them.
So if you like your foot locked into a shoe but you think these are cute, get them anyway! 2. They run big. I’ve never worn larger than a size 7 shoe, yet the 7. 5 or 8 is the best fit due to my toes hitting the size 7 shoe.
I went with 7. 5 which gives me just a bit of room between my tip toes and the shoe. 3. They are kind of hard to tie tight. There’s something about the boot lace-ups that make it hard to reallllllly lock your foot in.
Equipped for wet conditions, the Nohea Moku is inspired by and designed with nautical life in mind. With stretch bootie construction for barefoot wear, medial water drainage ports and no-tie bungee laces.

I would have given the shoes one stars, but customer service has been great. But the shoes get low marks. First, the shoes are VERY wide. They are advertised was wide, so this may be my fault. But they do have a bit of clown shoe look.
The second issue is that they are warm for a hot weather shoe. Not the most comfortable. Third, they pick up dirt and stains very easily. I recently took them as my camp shoe (not hiking shoe). Every splash and bit of dirt got into the fabric.
They did get clean in the wash. But they were disgusting looking until I could get them in the machine. But the worst thing is the inserts. There is a nice fabric covering the rubber on the insert. Within 3 days it started peeling off of the insert.
Again customer service replaced the inserts, but the replacement is starting the peel. I give it another week before its peeled off. Considering the cost of the shoes, this is unacceptable in my mind.
The OluKia Nohea Pae slip-on sneakers were a pleasant surprise when first put on. Not only do they have plenty of room in the toe box front they are more comfortable than they would appear. They also surprised me with the overall attractiveness of the sneaker.
I will plan on purchasing more OluKia products now that I have had this experience. These have become my new weekend favorites and I look forward to putting them on. I have always had problems finding comfortable shoes in this category and style.
I finally see what all the fuss is about. I love wearing these all day long.
Love the fit, comfort and durability of the shoes, especially the soles. I tend to wear out the corners quickly and these are holding up really well. Also, they are super comfortable without socks and don’t make your feet sweat.
The shoes have amazing ventilation. Only item that was a bit weird, the black color is a bit light. Wasn’t sure if I had the wrong color sent. They almost look a dark navy blue. Not a bad thing, makes them a bit more versatile.
Just something to point out – the shoes are not jet black.

I bought these shoes for a 3 week hiking trip to South Africa on a whim from Boot Barn and I am SO glad I did. Since then, I also took them on a 2 week trip to Costa Rica and they have been holding up beautifully.
I have done a lot of off-trail hiking, walking, and patrolling in these shoes and they are still in great condition. I love that they are lightweight, feel like a sneaker but have incredible ankle support, have a super comfortable padded sole, great traction, did not make my feet feel like they were overheating, and they’re pretty cute! I had no problem running a mile across the airport from the baggage drop off to my terminal.
They felt like a sneaker not a clunky hiking boot! While others on the trip had blisters and sore feet I could’ve kept walking forever and I did not have to break them in. A lot of people commented that they are hard to put on but I don’t think so and the support they offer once they are on is unbeatable.
I mostly hiked on rocky mountain sides and even though my foot slipped many times I never twisted or sprained my ankle like others did. I do have a couple complaints. These shoes are waterproof, but you have to wear them with long rain pants.
When I hiked through dense, very dewy brush and regular hiking pants my feet and shoes were soaked within an hour and I hiked in swampy shoes for 2 days. HOWEVER, in Costa Rica I patrolled the beach in these shoes for 4 hours every night in heavy rain and they held up beautifully.
Not a bit of wetness or sand was in my shoes when I took them off. I realized this was due to my long rain pants which covered the top of the shoes and prevented water from getting in that way. Another complaint I have is that the black toe lining on the front is so thin it scraped off within the first few hikes I went on.
But, besides making them look a bit rugged it is not a major flaw with the shoes. As a field biologist, I have gone through many hiking shoes from many different brands and these are the shoes that I have recommended to everyone I know.
My mom and sister occasionally borrow these and are in love with them as well. Once these fail I will definitely be buying another pair.
I just moved to Utah 20 miles up the road from one of the Zion entrances, and that is where I took these shoes on their first spin. I knew when buying them from reading plenty of articles that these have a sock-like fit, without a separate tongue.
While yes, this does make it a little tight when you are sliding your foot in, the seal around the ankle when hiking in sand is fantastic! Half of our hike (or more) was on sand or sandy soil, and I got ZERO sand in my shoes.
This is also down to the mesh of the upper too. And this was without having any gaiters on, even though this shoe does have the built-in attachment points for gaiters. I bought a 7. 5 because with a lot of trail runners I’ve gotten lately I’ve needed the 7.
5 for the room in the toes, but I probably could have gone with a 7 for these. That being said. they still fit fine, without me slipping around. I just have a little more wiggle room for my toes. And the toe protection worked when I accidentally caught my toes on a rock.
The grip was great! Our hike had us crossing a stream bed approximately 50 times (no lie, no exaggeration), and even when the soles were wet, I still had no problems climbing up the rocks on the banks.
Wore them for almost 8 miles of hiking on their first outing and my feet felt just the normal amount of tired. They’re very lightweight and give a good ground feel, which I really like (especially as a trail runner), without making your poor feet hurt from feeling every rock.
Cannot speak to durability yet, unfortunately. Two slightly negative points, but not enough for me to remove a star: (1) The laces are almost comically long. I was really worried about them snagging on things.
Normally, I do a heel lock lacing (narrow feet and a noticeably smaller right foot), and for that, the extra lace length is great. However, there is not an extra eyelet on these for doing a heel lock.
I didn’t end up needing a heel-lock lacing anyways though for these to feel snug, probably because of the nice sock-like upper. I ended up ordering some elastic lock laces (which I’ve done for other shoes, it’s not a dig at these ones, it’s just a personal preference) and so won’t have to worry about long laces snagging.
(2) I like to use superfeet insoles for their extra support, however when I tried them in these shoes, they lifted my heel just enough that I no longer had a good heel lock and was getting a lot of slippage.
So I went back to the insoles that came with the shoes. Hopefully they’ll hold up well!.
I hiked in these in 2021 for 3 weeks while on the Camino Primitivo trail with my husband for his 70th birthday. If the toe area was just a bit wider, as compared to some other popular trail runners, they would have been perfect.
But I did have a recurring blister on the outside toes due to rubbing. What I liked about this shoe is the confidence I had to walk on rocks, wet muddy surfaces, slippery surfaces, inclines, declines – all went well and I never felt like I would fall.
My husband had a shoe with mesh on the upper and he said his feet felt wet during days with light rain, but my Danner’s never let me down. This is not a waterproof shoe, but my feet never felt wet even when walking in wet mud that came up on the sides of the shoes – all was well.
They were also easy to clean. I just ran water over the bottoms and let it run on the lower area of the sides (not on the top), and they cleaned up nicely. Plus, it is a good looking shoe and went well with my Osprey Tempest Pro 18 that I used for day hiking as our luggage was moved from hotel to hotel.
I had many compliments on my look – funny, because I never thought of fashion, but I paired it with black Prana leggings, a Patagonia black vest, either a gray or purple Woolx long sleeved top, and a tan ball cap with a bandana print and a pony tail, plus white Leki hiking poles.
Something about the look must have been attractive since I received many comments on how I didn’t look like I was a 68 year old. How did I get so many compliments? Well, I was slower than average, and as people passed me, they must have thought I needed an encouraging word!.

These are awesome shoes! After a week of use I realized that they felt even more comfortable than when I first started wearing them. I wore them hiking, walking my dog, doing yard work and to the grocery store.
They provide great arch support and great traction in both wet and dry conditions. My daughter-in-law, a nurse, saw that I was wearing them and told me that her coworkers all have them because they’re so comfy when they’re on their feet all day.
I really love these hiking shoes and I’m thrilled that they’re waterproof on top of everything else. I’ll be honest and tell you that I started out looking for things that I didn’t like about this hiking shoe.
I did find something. Mud stuck in the deep grooves on the bottom and holes in the sides of the sole. But then it all fell out without any help from me after it dried so I had to cross that off my one-item list.
Did I mention that these hiking shoes are awesome?.
These are incredibly lightweight and breathable and have great arch support. I wear them twice daily for dog walks on a gravel trail. I had major knee surgery last year from an accident, and these have helped immensely with my recovery.
The rocker sole really trains your posture, too – no lower back pain! Hope they hold up! I just scrubbed mine clean with a soft toothbrush and dish soap – my fault for getting white, but I don’t care for black sneakers or crazy color combos.
One caution is the heal cup has an extended back that bothered me a bit at first, but was never painful, and I didn’t notice it after the first week. These are sweet street shoes as well – they look really cute with a dress or shorts.
The best shoes for walking in sand dunes are those that are lightweight and have good traction. Shoes with a lot of padding or support are not ideal, as they will make it more difficult to walk on the uneven sand.
