20 Best Shoes For Venous Insufficiency (2023 Updated)

My job requires me to visit customers that require safety shoes. Over that past 15 years, I have tried many brands and styles. While some were more comfortable than others, they all left my feet hurting at the end of the day, often with blisters on my toes from the safety toe cap.

I ordered the Cobalt safety shoe as I had good luck with other OrthoFeet shoes I have. WOW! I wore them all day the first day with no issues or pain. I had planned to wear them for a few hours then change, but I completely forgot I had safety shoes on.

I also like that the have more tread than the regular shoes without being heavy. Not to start an argument with anyone, but these are lighter than every other safety shoe I have used over the last 15 years years except one.

These shoes are a surprise in the sense that I did not expect to be as delighted by them as I have been. I’ve had my share of foot problems over the years (e. g. , plantar fasciitis first in one and then the other foot; callouses; torn plantar plate most recently; and other issues) and usually it was just rest and lots of time before walking discomfort went away.

These Orthofeet shoes didn’t immediately make all pain go away but it did lessen it and eventually helped with speeding my recovery without having to commit myself to an easy chair for weeks. which would have driven me crazy as I am a fairly active guy.

I am so pleased with how well these shoes make my feet feel and also that they look smart enough to easily match my work dress of “work casual” without compromise. I will very likely purchase another one of these before my originals give out and perhaps even a third with a different styling!.

My feet will tell you that these are a preeminent offering for wide feet folks. Have tried brands ranging from ‘on sale w/ 10% coupon’ to ‘luxury’ and these are an impressive combination of style and comfort.

My feet made me purchase 3 pairs: 2 Brenston’s & 1 Bramford. • Looks like a ‘proper’ dress shoe that are actually comfortable while walking and standing. • Durable leather construction. • Firm yet softness throughout shoe.

• Provide right amount of traction with light cushioning. • Heel is not stiff- no rubbing nor blistering. • Locked in feel with no break in period.

I love everything about these shoes except the fact that they fell apart before the six month mark. Granted, I only own one pair of each type of shoe I wear. These were worn about 5 days a week on average.

At first, it was just the stitching which was weak. The leather uppers are great so I considered having the soles restitched to the uppers at a local cobbler. (Yes, there is still one in Santa Fe, NM).

Luckily, before I could waste the money the entire sole shredded. I was hoping to replace Keen in my life because they never last a full year. Birchbury’s six months certainly are the answer. Get them if you want a once-a-week-to-Church shoe.

At first, I bought Kybrid S2 “Sashiko”. But that turned out to be very tight even though I bought one size larger than I usually would. My feet were literally in pain when playing basketball. I had to return it.

And then I bought a pair of this Kybrid S2 of the same size. It is not only nice-looking but also very comfortable when playing basketball. While I really appreciate Nike’s effort to bring this awesome design to us, I hope it will make sure its shoes are consistent in size.

They look great. The cushion is like zero. Hard to get on. No padding around the ankle. That said, if you just want a very unique looking sneaker, these are it. Performace shoe? No. Fashion shoe? Yes.

Sizing is tricky as well. I went up 1/2 size just to get them on my foot. You are buying these for the design, not the basketball on the court value. Still, I love them for the style. Why Not? is a much better performance shoe and cheaper.

Love this shoe! Fits great. I loose tie them and they stay perfect. Love how different they are and they are both different shoes. Love these so much I bought “The Best Of”. Size is true to Nike sizes.

Having had a decades-long history of ill-fitting shoes that did not promote good foot health I finally discovered Kuru shoes. Pace is one of eight pairs of Kuru shoes that I have purchased over the past few years.

I first purchased the ankle-height, laced Kuru (apparently no long offered) for the advertised foot support which I loved, then the Kivi for everyday use, the Pace for summer more formal use, two pairs of Chicanes for fall-ish outdoor activies, one Atom for the “Y”, one Current for everyday summer actives, and I now have on order the Kala for beach.

I am, as you might guess, eliminating almost all other brands. Why? Because Kurus shoes are perfect for me. The fit, feel, style, quality and multiplicity of uses and applications fit my varied lifestyle of which there is no peer.

I highly recommend them and the company. The bonus: No more foot pain.

After reading other reviews, I decided to give these a try. Most of the other KURU shoes I’ve purchased have been great but one just wasn’t right for me. I bought these as house shoes and they are good for that.

I’m not crazy about the sole but it was only a problem on a wet tile floor. The collapsing heel function is okay for hobbling down to breakfast but not comfortable enough for wear all day. The shoe is designed around that function, so it has a loose heel, higher arch and tighter instep.

That’s okay for indoors but I wouldn’t want that feel out and about as a casual shoe. The wider heel also negates part of that famous KURU contoured heel that some of us need. A good shoe, but know what is good for and what it’s not.

This was my second pair of KuRu shoes. The first pair, without any break in, I wore for six days straight averaging 5-10 miles a day. They were so comfortable I took a chance on a second pair in a different style.

The second pair bombed. They were the same size that I have worn for over 20 years but were not “tall” enough across the bridge of my foot and causes severe pain and discomfort. I launched them back to Kuru.

Their excellent customer service took care of me, I order a different pair to try and shall see. So my review covers the amazing build quality of a shoe I did not like coupled with superb customer service.

On sale, the shoes are under $40. I guess this is what you should expect for the price. The heel area and interior lining of the shoe is extremely rough and abrasive. If you plan on wearing these with no show socks, you might want to rethink that.

The lining materials will tear up your foot. Lining aside, the sole has extremely minimal padding. Not too noticeable the first day of wear, but if you wear them for a full weekend your feet will be begging you for better shoes.

If you want a pair of white shoes to wear for a few hours once in a blue moon, these fit the bill. If you want actual comfortable white shoes you can wear all the time, save your feet the pain and look elsewhere.

Super comfortable, all white and minimal. Big fan of white shoes and these were one of the best. I used these BR shoes everyday in everyday situations and trips. Vegas, one San Diego Hike, and office.

I used Jason Markk Shoe cleaner and tried my best to keep them clean looking. I do however like the clean beat shoe look. These are my dailys and these aren’t daily shoes. They ripped on the bottom on both shoes unfortunately, these would be a solid 5 rating if they would’ve lasted longer.

I will still continue till wear these till they get trashed.

Bought these on sale at a decent price. It took about a week to deliver. Once I finally got them, they just came in a shipping bag with no shoebox. Thought that was weird, but still went ahead and opened the bag to check them out.

Pulled the shoes out and the white leather was more off-white/light cream colored, and the sole was noticeably cream/yellow. The shoe also had some minor scuffs on them. I will be returning them as I expected clean white shoes like the pictures suggested.

No idea on comfort as I just tried them on my foot. They are true to size though.

I loved these shoes from the moment I put them on. No breaking in period required. I have 2 pairs of strides. A black and a blue. The blue is bright and, in my opinion prettier than the black. I used to have narrow feet ( I suppose my heel is still narrow, but the development of large and painful bunions and a hammer toe now means I need wide shoes.

I chose the 4xwide. My first pair were a size 6 in order to leave space for my prescription orthotics and I was very pleased with them. Especially once I put the Fitville inner foot bed on top of the orthotic as it held my heel and stopped any slipping inside the shoe.

But I could see my toe didn’t reach the end by a little way. So I tried a 51/2for my second pair and they are even better. I have also bought a size 6 rebound shoe. I noticed that the 51/2 stride was just a tiny bit longer than my size 6 rebound.

So the rebound is a little shorter than the stride. If it helps, my foot length is 25cm.

The “x-wide” Stride Core worked quite well for my particular foot problems. I tried the “wide” fit first, and it was a bit too tight. However, the “x-wide” provided a little more width and height in the toe box.

The shoes are very comfortable, and I’ve been able to wear them most of the day. I was concerned that the heel might be too loose on the “x-wide,” but so far so good. Proper socks are important. I wear Maggie’s Organics merino wool socks which tend to stay up on the ankle even with the wider fit.

Very good customer service from FitVille as well.

Once broken in, these are great slippers/slip-ons for around the house. I was looking for something to replace some Olukai slip-ons for winter, and these DO fit that bill. They run a little small, especially for “winter” slip-ons — because you’re probably going to wear them with some socks.

As for break-in, the collapsing heel will feel a little more bulky than you’d like for the first few days. The sides will eventually stretch a little, and the elastic that makes up the collapsing heel will lay flatter.

Overall, a great shoe, just be prepared that they aren’t “out of the box” comfy — that’ll take 5-6 wearings.

These randomly caught my eye in-store while I was purchasing heels. I bought them with the intention of having separate sneakers for walking my dogs and running errands. And boy do I absolutely love them! They’re not only unique, but they are also breathable, comfortable and so easy to slip on.

Also, as a major plus, their products are eco friendly. Their whole mission, as a Latinx-owned company, is to make affordable eco-friendly products, which is so needed in the space. Give ‘em a go – you won’t regret it :).

I bought these after purchasing and loving the Holo Maverick. We live in the mountains and I can slip these beauties on to walk my dogs, run to town to the local stores or slip on to run my kid’s carpool.

They are comfortable, good looking, breathable and sustainably made. Plus, the price is amazing for the proven quality. I also love the collapsible heel for super easy slip on ease. Grab these, y’all!.

I have purchased Sofft shoes before and they are very comfortable. I was hoping these casual shoes would be the same. Used them for a couple of hours and my sciatic pain came back – these don’t have the arch support needed for someone like me with sciatic problems.

I was very disappointed that I could not return even though they look like new.

Not recommended for persons with sciatic problems. These don’t have the arch support. I used these for two hours and my pain returned. I was not allowed to return because I had already worn them. “#sweepstakes”.

I use these as my go to slipons after hip surgery. Very comfortable and they don’t slip off. Maybe run a little big but I wear socks with them so not a problem. Also, they look beautiful.

These were a gift for my wife this Christmas and she absolutely loves them. I liked them so much, she got me a pair as a gift too! The toe box on these is so awesome; nice and roomy. I’ve worn lots of Keens in the past and would say these are very similar in fit: True to size, with room in the toe… and their comfortable, and they just look classy.

Unfortunately there was one small snag. The stitching across the toe started to come undone after the first time my wife wore hers out of the house (so far mine have been fine). I’m confident this isn’t a common issue and I’m happy to report that Duckfeet promptly offered to replace or repair the item.

My wife opted to have them repair the stitching and is eagerly awaiting their return. I’m absolutely pleased with the customer service so far and am confident the issue will be resolved. Anyway, the shoes look, feel, and fit awesome, past experience says they’ll be durable, and the customer service has been awesome.

I wear a 10 so I ordered the 41 as per the sizing guide. However, my toes hit the end of the shoe, which I didn’t know until I had a chance to wear them, at which point they were not returnable. So, I ended up buying a shoe stretcher to make them a little longer, which worked fine (just more money into the shoe).

Also, they have no inner support or removable insert to replace with something more supportive or comfortable. I tried to add my own inserts for comfort, but they made the shoe so shallow that they slip off my heels when I walk.

I love these shoes so much but they are very hard (hoping they will soften up) and it would be helpful if they would work with inserts since they have no inner support whatsoever. Between the shoes, stretchers and inserts, I have spent well over $300.

I am not someone who spends a lot of money on shoes. I have wide feet and usually take a size 11(US) which is large for a woman so I struggle to find shoes with the right fit that are comfortable. I found these and it took me a little while (and some birthday money) to commit to buying them.

I read all the reviews, how to take care of them, etc. I bought the leather care kit as well. I ordered them and held my breath as I was really excited to get them but nervous that they wouldn’t be what I wanted.

They arrived 2 days after I ordered them! They are a perfect fit and just wanted I wanted. They are comfortable and as I break them in I know they will be more comfy. As long as these turn out to be as great as I expect, I will probably ask for some boots for Christmas!.

I bought a pair elsewhere, but took them camping twice already. I love the collapsible heel so I can use them as slippers. I don’t where shoes in my tent so being able to slip them on and off is super important.

They also had great grip on the trail. I highly recommend them. I’m not sure how to clean them, I just wipe them down with a cloth and they look good. But for $59, who cares if they stain. I’ll just buy another.

I loved my lace up sneaker but my feet, made wider by birthing a human, sometimes were a little pinched. I gave the RS02 a try and WOW! They are perfect in every way possible. incredibly comfortable and versatile.

Of course, the best part is that I can wear white sneakers and just toss them in the wash. I am officially in love with my RS02 lace ups!.

I really wanted to love this shoe, but my usual size looked like clown feet. I was disappointed to send it back, but admittedly took it as a sign I should have ordered the pink pair after all. So, excited to see how a size down (in pink) will look ;).

Bought these along with another pair from same supplier. Fit like gloves on my wide feet. So comfortable that I put them on and wore them at work for my shift. Normally I have to just keep trying to wear shoes in about 20 mins or so at a time.

But not these they’re great.

Purchased the Brown leather. Leather quality is second to none. Fit is good once the leather breaks in To your foot. Took my about a week of wearing. Now they have a great fit. Insole is leather, thick and removable so you could fit orthotics or different cushioned insoles.

I did notice the squeak other reviewer mentioned but before anyone panics… it’s not an annoying squeak. More of super high quality leather tongue breaking in. As it’s molded to my foot I hear less and less.

Sound very comforting actually like a saddle.

i wasn’t sure which color my Dad would like best so i bought them in both browns & black. i was hoping he would at least like one pair. to my surprise he loved both & kept both. i chose this brand because the reviews said that they were comfortable right from the start; didn’t have to be broken in.

this was true! my Dad wore them right out of the box and for the next two days i was with him. he loves them & so does my Mom. Christmas was a success! and thank you for the speedy shipping! 👍🏽.

As with most minimalist white leather shoes under $200, these are absolutely gorgeous but are extremely uncomfortable. I know that Italian leather shoes take time to break in, however these are also loud during the process of breaking in.

They’re almost as loud as the leather on the Oliver Cabell white leather minimalist shoes. If I had any tips for the good man brand it would be to invest in better leather or treat the leather so that it isn’t so stiff and a comfortable.

Tried the above shoe in a 7 as was having to get that size to accommodate my orthotics, but with these amazing shoes no orthotics are needed. SO they were a little loose and was able to get the size smaller at no extra cost very simply.

I just love them as had not been walking properly for nearly 3 months then all of a sudden was off enjoying my nature walks again. The comfort is wonderful and so easy to adapt to. Will be 80 in January and had no problems getting used to the movement in the sole.

Really recommend trying them which is what I did initially as they were an investment. Will be saving for another pair!!.

Having worn kybuns for 3 yrs my plantaar facitis has improved so much, I am now looking forward to wearing shoes that do not look orthopaedic. It astounds me how even a shoe like Nyon Black looks clumpy and ****.

The white toe cap is too high, which makes the shoe look heavy. Good for an injured foot though.

Huge disappoint for the price. Amazing customer service. Ordered a 7, had to return because of the fit. Went up to a 7. 5 and the shoe is just a tight gift in some places and loose in other places. I tried lacing tighter.

Nothing helps. I wish I could return them but Kybun will charge me and not do a full return due to the tread wearing out (tried to wear them for a month to see if I just needed to “get used to them” as they claimed.
