Both these in April, pitching toe was gone by the end of May, warranty replacement was honored but on back order until August, so she continued to wear them until her replacement arrived. The molded cleats are worn clear down.

Her 40 dollar under armour cleats held up for a year, for reference she’s 12u. Hopefully the replacement pair lasts longer than a month.

Bought this for my 14 year old who plays 16U travel ball. Got women size 9, fits perfectly. Details on back of cleats are very cool! The waves on sides are nice! Overall, we’re happy with this brand and pick this over other brand cleats.

They’re very comfortable, and easy to wipe down.

We bought these for our daughter who pitches! She goes through cleats like crazy and outs holes in them fast!! These cleats are great with the extra part over the toe for pitchers!! She loves them!

Altra says their shoes will typically last between 300-600 miles, which is a wide range, but it is accurate in my experience. After looking at the use I kept track of, I think I got between 400-450 miles on these so far, but they don’t have much longer left in them.

As I get ready for some longer trips this summer, I will likely be purchasing another pair of these to use due to how much I like them, while opting for other shoes for my typical 20-40 mile/week hiking activity.

It may seem “extra”, but these fulfill a pretty niche but important part of my footwear quiver. I switched to the mids after a rough ankle injury that made me look for a little more support than I usually used, and these offer great support, while also being flexible.

I appreciate that. I think some people may have issues with these because they use the typical convention for sizing up when purchasing other boots. Doing this may cause issues with seams and stress on the parts of the boots that flex the most.

With my experience of ~8 pairs of Altras, in a few styles, I have had the best experience buying them in my “true” size, meaning regardless of the size listed on the shoe, they aren’t the equivalent of a half-size larger, which is what I typically do with other brands.

I typically need a “wide” option for most footwear, and I think a lot of people may think these are a “wide” shoe because of the toebox. While they do work pretty well for me, I think some of my past experiences with them wearing out in the same spot they tend to wear out (outer foot, about an inch below my pinky toe) is because despite the toe box being so open, they aren’t wide in other spots like some boots/shoes are.

Still, I have enjoyed Lone Peaks while they lasted, and haven’t been dissatisfied with how much mileage I got out of them. One other thing to note is the zero amount of drop between toe and heel. It might not seem like a big deal, but you probably will feel it after a long day if you haven’t worn them before.

It may be worth taking things a little slower at first. When I first started, they felt fine on flat ground, but uphills were a bit tougher on my calves. I definitely felt the burn after some initial long hikes that I didn’t have issues with while wearing shoes with a typical drop! After a little bit of time, you will probably acclimate and be just fine.

I simply suggest keeping that in mind the first few times you wear them. One issue I had with this particular model was the tread starting to wear down pretty quickly on the rocky trails I usually go on.

By the time the tread was nearly gone, I had just started to get some holes in the outer fabric near the outer edge of my foot where it bends. Even with this, it was a drastic improvement in durability from previous years.

I think a large part of that was that I went for the “ALL-WTHR” version this time, which likely gets more durability from the liner. For this kind of boot, I did find the ventilation to be solid. I was pleasantly surprised by it, as someone who has feet that typically run hot.

I refused to try these on for a long time, as they do look a bit. ungainly, with that wide toe box. After spending 8+ months damaging my feet and knees with other shoes and boots, I finally gave in, and I could kick myself (actually, I can’t.

I’m not that flexible). The second I tried them on they felt like I was walking on air. All the negative reviews I’d read on them (how weird the loose toe box felt, how the lack of stability caused more ankle turns, how it would take a lot of effort to relearn how to walk with the zero-drop heel) – none of them were true for me.

That’s why it’s important to find out what your particular feet need, rather than what folks favorite shoes are. For me, I have a decent-sized bunion on one foot, and also poorly-healed broken toes on that same foot, then both knees are inflamed from hiking in shoes that were too inflexible.

I am MUCH steadier in these, not experiencing the pounding sensations in my feet, and had zero issues transitioning. The big toe box? I am addicted to the feeling!! There’s definitely a certain method one needs to tie their laces – I was tempted to go too tight, and they pain on top of my foot literally felt like I’d broken it.

So, that’s part of the learning curve. As far as traction – I’ve hiked appx 30 miles so far in them, and they are excellent on rock that some other shoes are slippery on. I mean, really good. I also ended up having them on (not my intention, but you know how it goes on the trails) for a number of water crossings.

The current was quite strong and flowed over rock, rather than loose rocks and sand, so I thought there was no way they’d fare well. My feet never slipped once. However, on any muddy surfaces, loose soil and/or leaves, this is where I have to slow down to a snail’s pace, because they have no ability to navigate them.

That’s understandable when you look at the lower profile treads, and it’s something I’m willing to sacrifice for the comfort that brings. I can see myself becoming an Altra loyalist for sure. They earned 4 instead of 5 stars due to the traction, and the feel of the top of the shoe when the laces are tightened.

I wanted to love these shoes. They were recommended by a friend who is an avid thru hiker. While they are extremely comfortable for wide feet (go an entire size up as many reviews say this brand runs small in general), I was disappointed in the shoe for several reasons.

First off, the shoes are not waterproof. They don’t let water in immediately, which makes you think that they are. But a half hour or so after a water crossing, the water soaks through and your shoes are wet and the insulation keeps them that way.

Secondly, the sole on the shoe is extremely slippery on both wet and gravel-covered surfaces. I have never felt scared of rock hopping across water or going down steep surfaces covered in scree in other hiking boots.

These shoes had me in fear of a serious injury in both cases. And lastly, the zero drop break-in period is much too long for me. I wore the shoes on progressive 3-mile, 5-mile, and 10-mile hikes over the course of a few weeks before taking them on a low-grade 20-mile backpacking trip.

The day after the trip, I did another 10-mile day hike and felt like the bones in one of my feet were bruised or broken. I was limping around Big Sur and in pain for months afterward. At one point I was worried that my foot wouldn’t heal in time to be able to go on any of the serious summer backpacking trips I had booked (thankfully the pain subsided after three months).

I would not recommend these shoes for anything other than low-impact, dry hikes fewer than 10 miles–and only if you have extremely wide feet and can’t find another comfortable fit.

These are good turf shoes for softball. As other reviewers have mentioned, buy at least 1/2 size larger than you normally wear.

Bought these to referee football. I had to buy an insole and put in so I combined I still paid about $80 for both. The tongue is also really thin, which I actually like but it does to want to fold when putting your foot in the shoe.

I don’t find this an issue as I just loosen up the laces more. Please not I am flat footed and have some heel pain. I would buy them again. Also when I tied the without the insole the shoe bunched up.

It’s a great show and a great price. I think the one area it falls short is stability. I play centerfield in slow pitch softball and run quite a bit and need to always have a stable shoe. I think this will do the trick for 1 season.

Good traction and they fit a wide foot well. I think this would be a great shoe for most people but if you need good support, it is not. There is just not enough to the sole for an older foot or someone with foot or ankle issues.

Excellent for comfort and strong kicks. It’s lightweight and goes really well even in synthetic grass fields.

Reasonably priced plate shoe of reasonably good quality. Third pair of similar shoe by same manufacturer. Problem with first two pairs was fit. Have a bunion on my right small tow and normal size (11) was uncomfortable and a little small all around.

Second pair (11. 5) was a little better, but needed to use a bunion pad. Third pair, (12) seems to be just right, but it’s between one and one and one half size larger than normal shoe size. I suggest purchasing at least a half size larger regular shoe size.

I’d never used the 3N2 brand before, nor did I konw anyone wearing a pair, but reviewed the site, and hedged a bet they would work. I didn’t really care about the crush test video on the site, as I only want it to work when I get hit.

Even ordered a pair of Reebock R421 plate shoes, as a spare pair, so I could test them both. As an aging umpire (over 40), I wanted something that was lightweight, reduce the stress on my knees, and allow me solid support.

These were a great choice. Like any shoe, it takes a bit to break them in, but give about 5 games and the tongue starts folding into place nicely, and the shoe conforms without hot spots. Has a very neutral stance, so even though I use orthodics, I don’t have to correct for canting in the shoe itself.

It does fit slightly wide, and [@] sent me the next width size down, which has worked out great. Yesterday, my crew-mate let me pick up his steel plate shoe that was 5 years old, and they must have weighed 5 pounds a piece.

He laughed when I let him hold these, and I said maybe that extra 10 lbs on his feet was slowing him down. He’s now updating his gear. With 30 games on them now, they are in the same condition as new.

I use them more than the Reebocks, just because of how good they feel underfoot. I’d recommend these to anyone.

So far so good, price is upward of $140 but good work boots cost, I wear them solely as my lawn maintenance footwear nearly daily. I initially changed the insoles because I use special insoles to help with a bad case of plantar fasciitis.

I spilled blue vegetation dye on them and now the dye comes out little by little each time I wear them. Especially when they get wet. I highly recommend these boots and look forward to ordering another pair, but I’m going to wait till they go on sale.

I have a pair of the vicious work boots and they’re the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I was hoping the riverside would bring the same comfort in a low top style shoe. That has not been the case.

After a twelve hour day on my feet the riverside lacks the vision and comfort I’ve had in other Danner products. If you’re a office person that needs steel toed boots for work and you spend the majority of your time off your feet these are great.

I honestly wanted to like these. I’ve worn steel toe boots for about ten years, and the pair of these that I received have held up well on the exterior but they are not comfortable at all. The outside of both my heels rubs in a way that I’ve never experienced before.

Its like the outside edge makes the soul sit weird or something. My feet feel like they are almost blistering by lunch.

Unfortunately, these turf shoes left my son’s feet VERY sore after a lengthy field workout. This design with the spiked tread appears to be the new trend in turf design, and I have tried more than one brand, but they all appear to exert a lot of pressure on the feet, to the point that my player is left hobbling after a workout, in need of ice and rest.

There isn’t enough support inside the shoe ever – not a bit of give to the insole. We had to buy an insole to make the fit more supportive. We ended up buying an old model of New Balance: T3000v5 turf shoes.

They have flat, waffled tread (which still provide appropriate grip on turf), and they have markedly reduced the post-workout foot fatigue. This spike design is not a postive trend in turf baseball shoes.

They are terrible for growing boys’ feet, especially those who are dealing with common growth-related issues like Sever’s.

This process was smooth for the most part. The website was easy to navigate. I was unhappy with the lack of color options for the shoes and the wide sizes weren’t available in my size. These UA shoes are by far the best turfs I’ve owned because of the traction and comfort.

I really wish I could’ve gotten another pair in all black but I can wait, I guess. Haha. I will be shopping at baseball savings again and I have given multiple referrals for the amount of gear on the website.

These base shoes for umpiring NCAA Div I baseball are fantastic. I love the comfort, breathe ability, wide toe box, and appearance of these shoes. I purchased the black on white style for umpiring. They clean up extremely easy after working on grass or turf surface.

I didn’t have to “break them in” before wearing them in a game. The traction these shoes provide is amazing; well worth the purchase.

My daughter is a softball pitcher. I ordered Tuff Toe black to try on her new cleats for the drag foot. It was easy to apply, just followed the directions and cut the tip bigger as they suggested. She tried it out in a tournament this past weekend and absolutely loved it.

I looked the cleat over after the tournament and the Tuff Toe held up great. I will definitely be useing this on every new pair of cleats.

I used tuff toe to repair some of the wear on my motorcycle boots. I have a tendency to drag my toes when cornering on my motorcycle. The repair was easy, just like the video. Looks good. We’ll see how it hold up.

I am a pitcher who has always had issues with my spikes holding up. Year after year I would go through 2-3 pairs of spikes. After using tuff toe pro I can use the same pair year after year if I want.

Any new pair of spikes I apply tuff toe pro to before wearing.

The MC Trainer by Nike is a middle of the road trainer style, with a nice casual profile. It provides nice support, but felt like it ran about 1/2 size smaller in the toe length, compared to other Nikes in my closet.

It is a bit more rigid than some of the other styles I have been wearing recently, as compared to a Free style for example. The sole is firm, which I found to be a negative when pulling them out of the box, however once I had them on they provided great support.

Overall, I really like the grey, black and white color scheme, but wish the black around the toe area was a little more subtle. That would make them more appealing to wear casually. As is, they are still an attractive shoe.

I really like the flat sole, and there was a decent amount of cushion, but not overly padded. I am not a runner, so I can’t speak to that, but for walking, lifting weights or cross training they provide a nice balanced support.

Unlike some of the softer soled shoes that have become popular, I feel like these may hold up a bit better over longer term use, as I typically go through a few pairs a year with general use. Overall, these were a good, not great shoe, and they serve the purpose very.

I bought a pair of these last September for my son who plays 11U travel ball. He used them to play in a tourney in October which consisted of 4 games. By the end of that tourney the toe, where the sole meets the fabric of the shoe began to rip apart on both shoes.

I immediately contacted Boombah and they were awesome and replaced them with a brand new pair. With no more baseball until spring, we placed the new pair in my son’s closet and waited for the start of the season.

The week of the first tourney this year, my son broke out the new pair to break them in. He wore them literally for a period of two hours for batting practice and fielding drills and I kid you not the exact same thing began to happen with the toe.

Again, I contacted Boombah and they were very helpful with a replacement. However, on this occasion I went with a pair of the Rage Turf, which were suggested as a very durable model. This consumer would be wary of any model in the Boombah Riot line.

We have long loved Boombah turf shoes for our preteen son who has a very long but narrow foot. Boombah turfs have always fit him well so we were very confident that these would work for him. Not sure what has changed with the new designs but these shoes are HUGE in width.

The toe box and heel are very wide. Unfortunately, my son opened these when I was not home and threw all of the paperwork and box away so I don’t think I can return them. This is the first disappointing product we’ve received from Boombah so we will likely still shop here.

However, I do not think we will trust buying shoes from Boombah online in the future.

Delivery from Boombah arrived on time and with no damage! I’m actually a size 10. 5 that requires wide fitting for shoes so I ordered an 11 and it fits perfect! My toes don’t have to knudge-up as with my old Nike turf shoes did.

Now my wife and kids love them and want the exact color and style! Will see how long they last because I’ve been told that they didn’t long enough. But, from a Coach’s perspective, I didn’t plan on doing anything outside of coaching so I think these shoes should last longer than anticipated.

Highly recommended! Definitely get your money’s worth!.

Until last month when I did a random google search for special shoes and found Healthy Feet, I had no idea that alternatives to $1300 custom shoes existed for me. I’m almost 74 with severe neuropathic club feet, and ineligible for Medicare assistance with shoes as my condition does not stem from diabetes as is inexplicably required.

The Apis 728E as well as the Apis 801 have proved godsends to me. The 3 conditions of extra depth, small length and wide width along with the special stretch fabric provide all the customization I seem to need at nowhere near the cost of fully custom shoes made from plaster molds of my feet.

It’s hard to believe that the existence of alternatives that Healthy Feet make available were not brought to my attention by the numerous podiatrists and other health professionals who have cared for me over the years.

My father is a 12 year stroke patient and both feet are swollen and one is abnormal now. These work great. This is his third pair. Happy I picked the widest width this time. Fits much better than the one a size down which we were using.

Plus this time went with a half size longer which is more comfortable for him.

This is my 4th and 5th pair of shoes from APEX. They are good solid shoes that gets the job done for me. I am 87 now so I have the expectation of wearing these shoes out. Time will tell if I will need to buy some more.

The model I have from 2017 is more rounded around the toes. It is a much more natural form. This one is more square-ish and symetrical (the front sole). Another thing is my older pair is type Wide, while I now got the X-WIDE, yet both have the same width (sole).

I should have really ordered the XX-WIDE if I knew about the change of sizing.

2nd pair for my 80 plus Dad who is still very active. He is pleased with comfort and the grip. He walks about at times doing business and still drives. He’s happy and so am I. Quality products cost a little more, but certainly worth the cost for comfort.
