20 Best Shoes For Skinny Legs (2023 Updated)

Ok, won’t lie. I JUST got home from purchasing these sandals, put them on. and after a brief moment of adjusting to the unique feel of them. well, WOWZA. I’ve never had a pair of sandals that are so comfortable as these OOFOS ORIGINALS.

When initially buying these I waffled between the slide and the flip-flop, and went with the latter. Absolutely no regrets! I generally wear 5. 5-6 (my adult feet began their lives as size 5, but time changes things) and so went with the ladies 6.

Yes they look a tad wee “large” around the edges, but it is a good kind of large, like good hiking sandals which give you a bit of room to help prevent you from stubbing your toe. The piece between my toes is surprisingly comfortable, but the rest of the sandal is remarkably so.

The degree of arch support offered in these came as an absolute surprise; I was afraid that the cushiony foam would indent as some less expensive foamy types do, but nope. These babies hold their shape.

I plan on wearing them around the house, and maybe running errands; as I am an avid hiker I honestly don’t think they’d hold up to hard trail-trekking. But afterward? OH yeah! SO – this is my 5-star first impression.

I’ll be back in a few months with another review about the sandal’s durability! But so far so good!.

Ok I’ll start from the beginning This is the 2nd I’ve bought, the product itself does what I need it to do a home slipper/sandal to help with tired aching feet after a days work. However let’s be fair about this these are extremely expensive for a sandal and I’d say not worth the money £45 especially when the 1st pair lasted only 4 months before the toe post came apart.

Now as I said they do help with my problems of aching feet but paying £10 a month on the first pair lasting only 4 months, but I decided to give them another go. All I use these for is as a slipper around the house and £45 for a pair of sandals that lasted 4 months is ummm obscene.

If these don’t last at least double that time I wouldn’t go anywhere near your products again. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 0 is based on the fact that my sandals do help with aching feet after a days work.

I buy Darn Tough American socks which for a single pair are around £25 but the company offer a lifetime guarantee against faults, to which you know they are going to last, perhaps your company try some kind of guarantee against product faults to which then I would give 10 out of 10 because as I said the product itself is perfect for me.

I’ve used OOFOS for at least 7 years and couldn’t live without them! Many years ago I was a Gymnast, Cheerleader & Ametuer Athlete — I have suffered from terrible lower back, knee and hip pain and these flip-flops were my Lifesaver.

I have numerous pairs in numerous colors and I wear them everywhere. When I did travel before Covid I wore them in other countries and always receive many compliments them & now. When people respond to the high cost I asked them what price do you put on pain? I have referred numerous people from all over the World and everyone is thrilled.

I referred my doctor last year and she loves them and bought many many pairs for her kids and other people she knows. Yes they are pricey but to have relief from pain is priceless!.

Just received these beauties today and I must say, they are the MOST comfortable, well fitting and beautifully designed sneakers I’ve ever owned. I was skeptical but took a chance on them, based on the reviews and this time they were right! There’s plenty of room in the toe box and the cushioning is spot perfect.

I can even wear a thin sock without being too snug. It is very much true to size. I got got the blue ones and now I want the brown ones. They are just that comfortable and they look really nice on my feet.

These will pair well with jeans and Tshirt, or khakis with a layered cardigan look. Versatile and worth every penny! Thanks, Tory for yet another keeper!.

I first saw these shoes in an Instagram ad, and couldn’t stop thinking about them! In the midst of a “chunky” sneaker trend, I wanted to join in but didn’t want a spice girl type of platform sneaker.

I finally pulled the trigger and decided to get them for my birthday. I’m a true 7. 5, so I ordered my size and an 8, based on the reviews, just in case they do in fact run small. I ended up keeping the 8, I found that the 7.

5 was a little short and my toe was right at the front. As for the shoe itself, I was amazed by how comfortable they are right out of the box! They are wider than normal sneakers, I have a very narrow foot and these were roomy but in a good way.

The white/ivory color combo is beautiful for any season. I find myself always drawn to neutrals and this shoe is the perfect staple for any outfit. Highly recommend them!!!.

Like all Birks, life with these sandals started off dreamy. They’re comfortable right out of the box. I went with a size 38 and I typically wear 8-1/2 in most shoes. Perfect fit! Over time though, the cork starts to crack on sides where the short strap over your big toe runs across the cork.

This is true for the mocha and black pairs I have. But today, the strap over the big toe completely broke while in the grocery store. Purchased in October of 2020 and I live in the PNW so they only get summer use (June-Aug)—these shoes should last longer.

If I were you, I’d buy the Arizonas instead. Sadly, the Mayari’s will break your heart!.

I have been on the hunt in purchasing two Birkenstock sandals. A light color and a dark color. I have ordered and tried on many styles, including Arizona, Florida, Sienna, Madrid and Gizeh. along with the Mayari.

All were purchased in genuine leather variations and hands down the Mayari in tobacco oiled leather was the best option for my “light” color. It is even more beautiful in person and will match any outfit.

The sandal itself was the most comfortable from all that I had tried on. I personally found it even more comfortable than the Arizona (not to mention stylish). There’s always a break-in period with new shoes and I would highly recommend anyone interested in this style to try it, especially in genuine leather.

I will say I tried this shoe on in the store in the vegan leather options (why the store carried no leather options is beyond me) and I didn’t like the look and feel of the upper at all in those. Glad I took the chance to see it in genuine leather.

Can’t explain how comfortable I find it and the toe loop isn’t bothersome at all. Posted lots of pics for reference and so you can really get a clear idea of what the color is in person. Oh, and regarding sizing, I’m a size 7-7.

5 and in Birkenstock I am always a 6-6. 5 (37). No different here, even though the footbed is the wider size and not narrow.

I wanted these boots because the 90’s trends are back! I was born in ’88, living my childhood in the 90’s, so I’m having a blast with fashion right now, haha! I thought these were a great staple to add to my shoe collection.

The subtle brown detail around the edge softens the harshness of the overall black color of the boot (black being very in again right now as a part of the 90’s trends) making this shoe very versatile with either casual or more dressy outfits.

The comfort is great, as well, and I’d forgotten how nice it is to have a chunky high heal–much easier to walk in than a stiletto! It’s also great not having to tie them up each time I wear them. Just use the zipper on the inner side of shoe!.

I am in love with this boot! I ordered the black in a size 9 and it is such a fall staple piece. I will say if you have wide feet, like I do, definitely get the wide size. Since they don’t come in half sizes, I recommend going to the store and trying them on first to make sure you like the fit.

While my fit was ok, I ultimately had to use my shoe stretcher to make it wider since the black boot doesn’t come in wide for my size on here. Once I did that they fit like a dream! They look fantastic with my fall attire and I love that they can be worn for years to come because of the classic look.

I bought this boot in black. It has a sleek, feminine look that goes with anything and everything. It’s well cushioned inside and not too high. The only downside is that the size runs a little too big.

I wear a size 6 and it would have been better to get a 5. 5, which was not available for exchange. This isn’t a huge issue, I can still wear it comfortably with a very thick sock. All around, I’m very happy with these boots.

They will be a wardrobe staple for sure.

I ordered these Vans in the tan color with the embroidery for my daughter online and received a week or two later. They are cute looking but only lasted about 4 wearings before the side fabric came away from the rubber.

Nothing can be done to repair this. Very disappointed in the quality!.

I mountain bike in these, and they are great if you like flat pedals. They are thin enough so you can feel the pedals, but durable enough to be supportive. they do wear out pretty quick if you are an every day wearer.

I think I am on my 10th pair of the black with the laces. They look good with everything, and are super comfortable for how minimal they are. However if you need your arches supported more, I would look at other models they make.

After owning loafer style Vans for 6 years and loving them, I expected the same for these. Love the look of them on, but by the end of my first day in them my feet were dying. Also, they are squeaking when I walk in them.

Disappointed.

I’ve been looking for minimalist shoes I can use on the tennis court for some time, but I never saw anything that looked as if it would hold up (I wear out the sides and tops of my shoes — I drag the top of my left foot when I hit my backhand, for instance, and the right foot while serving).

I saw that others had tried this model from Xero for tennis, and I decided to give it a shot. So far, so good. I first went two or three times on my own to just practice serving and moving about the court before playing matches.

All went well, so then I met up with my regular set of friends and I’ve put maybe 6 or 7 total sets of doubles, and one friendly set of singles over three separate outings to the courts. For what it’s worth, the computer says I’m a 4.

0 player, though I haven’t played an official USTA match in over 5 years, and I’m not sure I’m really that good anymore. Who knows. My buddies are 4. 0 and still play league matches. Due to time constraints, I also only get to play once a week, so that’s also probably helped in getting my feet acclimated.

Anyway, when using these shoes, I adjusted quickly and soon forgot I wasn’t wearing typical clunky tennis shoes. I was worried about turning over my ankle, so I laced them tight and all has been OK (knock on wood).

I have noticed that my calves are sore, as well as the soles of my feet — neither of which normally happens. I also have to say that I’ve been exclusively wearing zero-rise, wide toe-box shoes for a little over a year now — so I suppose I’ve gradually accustomed my feet into using these types of shoes before using them for tennis.

I have noticed another thing — I’m not sure why, but it feels like when I play with these shoes, I tend to move on the balls of my feet more, and rest less on my heels. I’m not sure if this is because I’m still adjusting, or if this a normal adaptation as I move more naturally on the court.

The shoes are built up on the sides and on the top — maybe not as much as a regular tennis shoe, but enough that at this point, I believe that I’ll get enough mileage out of them to make it a worthwhile purchase.

These shoes are pitched as workout shoes, which is ultimately what I bought them for, but I personally hate single purpose shoes, so I’ve done some traveling in them as well. First off, if you’re used to traditional tennis shoes, these are going to take some getting used to.

I evidently land hard on my heels, and when hiking or walking through an airport, the lack of cushioning really became noticable. Wearing the shoes is essentially teaching me to walk different, which is great, but my feet felt more tired than usual *at first*.

On the trail I love these. The rubber on the bottom is nice and sticky, which is confidence inspiring, and it’s thick enough to provide protection from rocks and other things. There were a couple rocks that I stepped on (hiking in Arizona, so think lots of jagged sharp rocks) that made me wince a bit, but I didn’t get stone bruises or anything like that.

One of the hikes I did was extremely steep (1100ft in a mile) and the shoes performed great. What’s not quite apparent from the product pictures is the shoes are made of mesh. So in colder climates, you’ll want thick socks.

Or different shoes if it’s windy / wet. Your feet will get wet. In hot climates though, they were great because of all that breathability. Again, these shoes aren’t billed as hiking shoes necessarily, but they worked for that just fine, and I’m positive they will be great in the gym.

road runs may take some more getting used to though. I do wish they came in some different colors (not solids) / styles. They’re sort of funky looking (my wife calls them my “water shoes” – ) but definitely comfortable.

I want to start by saying I love these shoes. So comfortable and I feel actually secure in them when playing hard paced sports like tennis and basketball unlike other barefoot shoes which literally fold under the pressure of quick lateral movements.

Which is exactly why I bought this shoe and I am very happy. Up until I bought these I always wore sports specific shoes for sports like that. For those wondering, you will not have the traditional “feel” of barefoot shoes where you can feel every crack in the ground with these.

It is a much harder and more solid rubber, however that is to be expected in a shoe like this and to me that is a good thing. I am happy to trade ground feel for protection of my feet while playing sports.

So good job there too. And now after saying how much I love these shoes. I have to say they are one of the most hideous looking shoes I have ever seen in my life. I get it, that’s personal preference but PLEASE Xero shoes, hire a better designer for the LOOK of some of your shoes! Your functionality is incredible, if only your style was a small percent of that these would be the perfect shoe.

My wife doesn’t even want to try hers on they look so bad, and if I wasn’t a function over form type of guy I would feel the same. Overall outstanding shoe! But please make them at least a little bit easier on the eyes.

These are my son’s second pair of Saltwater sandals. The first pair lasted him 2 years as they grew with him. They were still in incredible condition and we passed them on. I also have a pair and love them.

They are great quality, durable, look great and are sturdy and comfortable. Leave a thumb width from the top of your kids big toe to the end and you’ll get years of wear from them. Can’t fault these sandals and can’t fault Little Treads – great value, great service, great products, all round one of my favourite stores.

They may be more expensive than other brands but really are worth every penny. No matter how many times they’re worn they never look tatty or tired and can wear them in and out of water and buckles don’t rust or go funny.

Seem really comfortable and don’t rub.

I’ve bought multiple pairs of these over the years for my three boys. Amazing quality, great in and out of water. Each pair gets passed down to each boy and still has life in it. Just be aware it’s US sizing so you don’t order the wrong size.

Everyone… I read the reviews on these vans like 30 times before I ordered because every review said it’s mens sizing so I ordered my size in mens. It’s wrong. It’s not unisex. They sent me womens sizes and I reached out to asos and they pretty much said too bad.

They need to be more clear on the description of what the sizing is because vans are unisex and if it doesn’t say mens or womens sizing how does anyone know what’s the correct size to get? Do better asos.

Not happy the design has completely changed, gone are the days of blistered Feet and having to break them in. I really wish I had read the reviews from 2019-21. If you’ve ever brought a pair of vans You’re going to be well and truly disappointed! The sizing is off! Feel wide and big! A size 7 felt like an 8 and the 6.

5 felt like a 6! I’ve had to go for my original size and wear insoles!.

I never write reviews, but I really like these shoes and I would like to share my opinion, so the classic Chuck Taylor All-Stars converse, apparently they have been around for over a hundred years and I remember I wore them all the time in my childhood because my parents liked them, but since then I haven’t wore them again, now that they are popular and everywhere I decided to buy them, I was not disappointed, they are the most comfortable shoes I have been using so far, when I buy shoes what I look for is comfort, simplicity and stylish, and I get exactly that with this shoes.

They are made of rubber and cotton canvas which makes it very easy to wash them and not get damaged. They are very comfortable as well. I used them all the time because it allows my feet to breathe, feel relaxed and hugged so I can do everything, I can go to the gymnasium, I can go to work, go shopping or just go out anywhere with the shoes on.

They are also very stylish, it goes with everything, I use them with my formal uniforms, with my clothes for work, with my gym clothes and I always use them with my regular clothes, they are my go to shoes and it just looks amazing.

I highly recommend these shoes because they are unisex, have amazing colors and are durable. I think they are a 5 star quality and completely worth your money.

These are the gold standard of the modern sneaker. When I learned they could be made in leather, I purchased these beauties. As a correctional officer working 12-hour shifts and walking an endless maze of concrete and steel grate, these shoes held up to over 200 hours of on-duty wear and abuse plus personal wear.

I do not get into many use of force situations, but I would not want to kick someone wearing these shoes. The leather uppers took about 16 hours to break in for my feet and how tight I tie my footwear.

The foam and rubber soles did not need any break-in time. I recommend saddle soaping these leather Chuck Taylor’s after the breaking time and since my pair are all black I buffed in parade shine black boot polish.

The truck for leather care is to heat the medium to a liquid then apply and buff to the desired finish.

Needed a wide sandal with adjustable straps to accommodate foot recovering from a bunion operation. This sandal provides excellent support and has 2 adjustable straps. The sky harbor color is pretty – makes the sandal look less orthopedic.

Will definitely be wearing these sandals after the recovery is completed!.

I just bought another pair of black sandles so that I always have a new pair for good. I have been buying SAS sandles for at least 4 years. Each year I buy a newer pair of which color I wore most that year.

I have at least a pair of every color. Many years there was a little difference in the make of the shoe which I bought as well. So I have about 20 pairs in all. These shoes are the most comfortable I have ever owned.

They are definitely worth the price because they last for years without wearing out.

This is my second pair of Huggys. I absolutely loved my first pair. The leather was soft & pliable on day one & lasted for years. This posit was disappointing. The leather was stiff & with less cushioning.

I was really excited about getting this Keds based on reviews. When it eventually arrived (long protracted circuitous delivery) I tried it on with some socks. It seemed to fit well so it was a keeper – so I thought.

I then tried it without socks and the shoe was HUGE. I’m so disappointed because they’re really chic. I wished Keds would have alerted customers of their larger sizing so now I’m stuck with a shoes I can’t wear.
