20 Best Shoes For Skinny Jeans (2023 Updated)

I bought a pair of these in grey for my husband after seeing someone else wearing these and thought they looked like they would be comfortable shoes, plus look good. He loved them so much I had to get him a 2nd pair in blue.

They go with any outfit and they get more comfortable with wear. He wears a size 12 and these are true to size. If you are in between sizes like me, I suggest sizing down unless you have long narrow feet.

If you find that your toes nearly hit the front of the shoe, wear them around before deciding to exchange unless you go to a store to try them on. I almost exchanged mine thinking I needed to go up a size, but after wearing them for a few hours it felt like they formed to my feet and were perfect.

Also nice shoes if you have bunions or slightly wide feet. Absolutely recommend!.

Assuming I find ALL Hey Dude shoes to be the most comfortable shoes in the entire universe and that I am basing this review ONLY off of the different types of styles made by Hey Dude, I must admit – this particular style is my least favorite pair of Dudes so far.

Version – I am reviewing Hey Dude’s version/style of the Misty Chambray shoes I recently purchased online. Size and color – I ordered the tan/khaki color of Misty Chambray’s. The color is exactly what I expected when I placed my order online.

The website did a great job of depicting the look and color of these shoes as accurately as possible on screen. I ordered these shoes in a women’s size 8 thinking they would fit like most other Hey Dude shoes fit.

They do not. I repeat: THEY DO NOT! The difference is that there is not much room to wiggle around in this style like most other styles seem to offer and these Dudes run pretty narrow. Are they too small? No.

They’re not. They just don’t boast that roomy, relaxed fit that most other styles provide. Basically, these run true to size as long as you don’t have a fat foot or need the extra wiggle room Hey Dude shoes are known to provide.

If you don’t want a tight fit, ordering up a size would probably be a wise decision. Comfort and support – As far as comfort goes, this style of the Hey Dudes are the least comfortable of all the styles I own.

That being said, it’s important to note that they aren’t uncomfortable, per se. They just don’t seem to have some of the extra features that other styles offer. I think these would be much more comfortable for a flat-footed person who doesn’t need or want much arch support.

They also don’t provide as much cushion for your feet as other styles offer. I definitely don’t reach for these Dudes when I know I’m going to be on my feet all day and away from home. I use them more as a quick slip on shoe when I’m hanging out at home or if I have to run a quick errand.

They are great for short trips to the grocery store or when I’m working outside at home. Their best feature is that they are the lightest style of all the Dudes I own. You literally cannot tell that you have shoes on at all! I was blown away at how light they were.

Although these Dudes are my least favorite style so far, I do not dislike them by any means and I do not regret making this purchase. I love ALL of my Hey Dude shoes and styles and each pair has its place in my life.

I would definitely still recommend them to someone who’s looking for an attractive, basic, snug fitting slip-on Dude shoe.

Unfortunately, I’m not able to give a proper review on any of the Hey Dude shoes I purchased except that it is difficult to know which size to buy. I bought 4 pair around Christmas, 3 pair of the women’s Wally canvas (one for myself and two that were intended as Christmas presents for my sisters.

) I also bought a pair of men’s shoes for my husband. The women’s shoes were way too large for my sister and I. I ended up giving the smaller pair to the sister with the largest foot and they fit her.

The men’s pair ran smaller than expected, so I had to return them also. (My husbands old pair of hey dudes are size 11. The 12s I bought for him were too small). Out of the 4 pair I purchased, I kept one pair and sent the other 3 back.

After reviewing my refund at a later date, I noticed that I had not been refunded the full amount for the 3 pair of shoes I returned. After reaching out several times to hey dude via their on-line chat, I was finally able to speak with someone.

We emailed back and forth and she finally allowed us to speak via phone per my request. She explained that I had been given the refund amount for the 2 pair in women’s shoes that I returned, but she didn’t show a refund for the men’s pair.

She was supposed to check with the shipping dept and get back with me. Well, she never did. I then reached out via Facebook messenger and was basically told they will not refund me for the men’s pair of shoes bc they don’t have any proof of receiving them.

I know for certain there were 3 pair of shoes in the box I returned. I’m not sure why Hey Dude is not more accountable for the inventory they get back on returns. Their shoes appear to be cute and comfy; however, because of this mistake they made and are unwilling to correct I will not be purchasing any more shoes from them.

Very very disappointed in their customer service and hope they don’t treat other customers this way.

I purchased these flats in my usual size (a 10m). I’m not sure if it’s the round toe style or they just run short, but my toes rubbed painfully. I returned these and exchanged them for an 11m (first time ever!) and they fit just right in the toes.

They are a little bit roomier in the heel, but overall are lovely shoes. The navy color is a true navy, which is sometimes hard to find. The elastic around the rim of the shoe helps it feel stable and secure on the foot.

I wore them for the first time all morning to church with lunch afterwards and. no blisters!! I love my new shoes. Pricey, but worth it for a well made and good fitting, comfortable pair of shoes.

I love ballet flats. Years ago I had a pair that was a name brand but no support. Walked about 8 miles all over Paris leaving my feet to feel almost as though my bones were broken. It took at least 6 months to get rid of that pain and I had to stop wearing any flat shoe unless it had good arch support.

So I thought my days are over, no more ballet flats. EVER. I LOVE to use ballet flats when traveling or at home so I can easily slip on and off at the door. You can wear them with anything as long as you can actually wear them.

So I swapped to loafers and I had ballet flat envy for years. I saw Vionic made a ballet flat and have had such great luck with all their other sandals, espadrilles I figured let me give them a try. I can wear them in the house and if they don’t work I’ll send them back.

This ballet flat is elevated in style, they are quite comfortable after the first wear and have some support. Pro’s: Style, Comfort, all leather, arch support. Con’s: although not AS supportive as Vionic thongs they have some support and much more than any other ballet flat I’ve EVER tried.

I wear a 9 – 9. 5M in most shoes but ballet flats I always seem to need a 10 regardless of brand. Same is true here. They appear a bit stiff out of the box but I wore for a couple hours (2-3) first time and the leather immediately loosened and softened up in mild temperatures.

2nd wear and beyond I was convinced I needed a second pair because let’s face it, it is hard to mail order/phone order/home shop shoes. Being they worked and I could wear them I ordered a 2nd pair to be sure I always had a ballet flat I could wear.

I love Vionic. Been buying these shoes since they were Orthoheel. I have many, many shoes and even more sandals. This shoe, however, has very little arch support where I need it. I think if I would have purchased a 1/2 size smaller the support would have been where it should be, but it would then be too tight.

I also purchased the navy blue shoes, same style and same size, and they are much better. At the cost of these shoes, they should be more consistent in what they say they deliver. If you just want a ballet flat, this is great.

If you want a stylish, support shoe, I would not recommend, thus the 3 star rating. Still love ’em, though.

I want to start off by saying that I saw another review on here that sound they ordered the brown croc but when they received the shoe, it was a light pinky color. The same exact thing happened to me! The color wasn’t even close to what was pictured online, so I checked the shoe box it came in.

Turns out, they sent me a completely different (and discontinued) color called “Antler”. DSW must have had an issue with the SKUs of these shoes to cause this mix-up. While I was disappointed I received the wrong color, I decided to keep these because I liked the Antler color well enough.

As for the shoe itself, I do agree with some reviewers that it runs a tad narrow. But a few hours in my shoe stretcher (balled up socks will also do the trick!) made these feel perfect on day one of wearing them.

I love the shape these give my feet and find them very comfortable for wearing around my office. It’s got a tiny amount of padding in the foot bed, but it works for desk job purposes. I also love that they’re real leather uppers.

I plan on ordering more colors (hopefully I’ll get the correct brown this time!).

I purchased the Lucky Brand Alba flat in grey and LOVE the shoe. It is very comfortable right out of the box. I previously purchased the cognac color (which I also love) and in comparison, the grey color has some texture to it.

The shoe holds up well to regular use and it looks good with anything I wear. They do tend to soften slightly over time and this does not change how they fit. I may consider getting the black as well.

I love these shoes so much I bought them again when they stretched out and became too big for me to hang on to. This is a real leather shoe, so it is going to stretch with wear. Which is ok for most people, but I have a foot injury that makes it difficult for me to hang on to a loose-fitting shoe.

It also runs a bit big. So, If you have an opportunity to try a pair on before purchasing that would help. I love this shoe so much I am going to purchase it in black and brown. It has a squared toe, and it looks so totally different from my other flats.

I love that it is real leather most other flats are that weird man made material so these leather ones are worth the price.

Have bought this boot in gray a few years back, so I know how comfortable it is. BUT, if you are looking for a tan or camel colored boot, as is depicted in the picture, know that the color boot I received was almost pink! It was more accurately mauve.

Looks as if it is from a batch that has been sitting a long time or was a second due to the color being off. I know this because I have seen the beige boot in person previously. I kept them anyway as it is a good boot, and at this price point was worth keeping as it will match something at some point.

I have been looking high and low for a bootie like this for ages. The fit is super cute, and I love the low ankle so I don’t have to roll up my jeans. The heel is a great height and they’re super comfortable.

I got the light brown color and they look great with light or dark jeans. Super happy with this purchase. I am normally a 7 in these shoes but always seem to need a 1/2 size bigger in Lucky brand, and the 7.

Love the perforated design and soft suede on these booties. The color is a stone neutral and matches with anything. I usually wear a size 9 and they fit perfectly. The side zipper is stylish and functional, making them slide on and off easily.

Overall, so pleased with the Lucky brand for booties that I bought 3 more pairs in different styles and colors.

Comfortable easy to clean. Also able to insert gel inner soles. Great price for extra pair of work shoes. Love rubber bottom shoe absorbs pressure from walking on hard floors at hospital. Back and feet never hurt in a shoe like this.

I’m writing this review to let others nurses know that this item is not as it was described. They are very uncomfortable shoes made with somekind of plastic. My feet hurt after only a few hours. They are not working shoes at all.

They are not breathable and I don recommend these shoes for work.

I bought these to replace a scuffed taupe pair of booties and decided to spend more on these, since I wore my last neutral shade so often. These boots ran true to size and the colors were as pictured; both zippers need to be unzippped to put them on or off.

The heel height is low to make it a comfortable bootie and perfect height for my boot leg jeans. The leopard print is stylish and I receive many compliments when I wear them. I think they’ll look great with black tights and a sweater dress, too.

I have been looking for a set of shoes that will allow me to reduce the number of pairs of shoes I need to pack when I travel. I ordered the Olive Green Zilkers and after my first trip, I love them! They pack down super flat and take up almost no space.

On my first trip, I wore them out on a boat, took them on a leisurely hike, and wore them around town for two weeks. I wouldn’t recommend them for a any super strenuous or technical hike, but for 90% of what you will do on any travel trip, they are awesome.

As far as appearance goes, they look nice enough that they will work with long pants and a button up shirt, but also look great in shorts and a t-shirt. Comfort-wise, they are super comfortable and lightweight.

Because of the light weight material on top, they are great for hot climates, but that also means that they might not be enough in cold conditions. Overall, I love them and will probably end up getting another pair or two at some point in different colors.

I purchased a pair of the Zilker Gum in Marshmellow (white), and was so impressed I bought a second for a spare! THE ROSES: Nice understated style. Clean, minimalist design; will go well with a number of outfits.

Appears to be made well. I really like the fact that they’re washable; nothing says spring/summer like a pair of really fresh white kicks, and nothing kills a look faster than an otherwise sharp outfit paired with dirty white sneakers.

These shoes are also very comfortable! THE THORNS: Nothing I can see so far. NEITHER ROSE NOR THORN: Keep in mind these are very lightweight, lightly made shoes. Great for travel, but they give very little in the way of support.

I don’t think you should plan on a long mountain hike or playing soccer in these; they are essentially socks with a rubber sole attached (VERY stylish, though!). TOP TIP TO SUAVS: I see the Zilker Gum is no longer offered in white.

Yes, they’re lightweight. Yes, they’re flexible. But: – The sole is extremely thin. You’ll feel like you’re walking on the sidewalk wearing thick socks. – The knit fabric is too flexible and too loose.

Which creates lots of space in the toe box. And it makes your foot slide around while you’re walking. – The insoles are unusable. Not sure what they’re made of, but they’ll make your feet sweaty. Try to walk outside in these shoes for 30 minutes.

You’ll feel your feet getting hotter by the minute. Then, take the shoes off and remove the insoles. Under the insoles you’ll notice beads of sweat. I can’t believe they even sell the insoles on their own.

– The sole is too narrow which makes your feet look like they’re wider than the width of the sole, with your toes hanging over the edge of the sole. A pretty bad look. I suggest buying a pair of Dr. Scholl’s insoles instead of the ones that come with these shoes.

I hope the future version of this shoe will come with all the improvements needed. Until then, I won’t be buying a second pair of the Zilker. The Classic sneaker might be better, but I think it’s overpriced right now.

I had looked at these shoes literally every time I walked past Dillard’s shoe department for the last 4 months and was obsessed! I kept putting off the purchase because the only colors in my store were gold and black.

The gold was nice, but not quite versatile enough and the last thing I need is another pair of black loafer type shoes. I saw this color online and knew I had to make the purchase! When they first arrived they felt a bit tight, but after one wear, they felt perfect.

The only negative is that I would like a bit more padding under the ball of my foot because. well. I’m getting older. LOL! I may actually buy the gold pair now!.

These shoes are absolutely amazing. The leather is incredibly soft, all the way to the edges. When I say you don’t have to break them in, believe me! The leather is so soft that it could look slouchy (like how uggs get), but the fit is tight enough so that they don’t crumple where folds are created.

The black shoes are jet black. So beautiful. They are soft like suede. I bought them in 2 colors and on sale. What a steal! I’m definitely buying more as they release more colors.

I bought two pair of Rivieras. Love the brand, knew I’d love them. But your size scale information doesn’t match Rivieras. I’m a US 11 and should have ordered what you show as size 12, as per Rivieras size scale.

The yellow size 12 was sold when I went to exchange. Glass half full, I was able to get the other color in the correct size. The TS service team was excellent as always.

It’s a great comfortable shoe. Was surprised that the toe cap was leather and a welcomed touch of quality. The fit is great, but I will say that you can probably go down a 1/2 size for a tighter fit.

I was looking for a slip on shoe that would help with pain I have in the back of my heel. Saw these and thought I’d give them a try. Was a little hard getting them on at first but after a few times it’s getting easier.

I assume it’s loosening up. Price was more than I wanted to spend on a pair of shoes but then again if it helps with the pain it will be money well spent. I’ve only had for a little over a week and they are comfortable.

My pain hasn’t completely gone away but they said it won’t happen overnight. So time will tell.

My husband has a difficult time finding a shoe to comfortably fit his wide foot and high instep. The shoe is not to be faulted. My brother however loved them and they became one of his Christmas gifts.

I work in a company with oil, soap, and water on the floors and this makes it very slippery. The slip resistance of these shoes is awesome! I’m on my feet running back and forth 8 hours a day and they are comfortable.

I prefer these to many other heavier higher priced shoes. I also liked that I was able to get the 4e width which I can’t find with many other shoes. I think if they put this slip resistance sole on a pair of safety boots they would sell a lot.

I purchased my first pair of Vans ( exact same pair except for the customization in photos) in 2018 and they have lasted me up till the beginning of this year, and I definitely put ALOT of miles on them lol.

They are EXTREMELY comfortable, casual yet able to pass for something slightly more “dressy†too. Recently my daughter celebrated her 11th birthday in May and as you can see Loves Billie Eilish. She also really wanted a pair of Vans like myself so I was able to get the same pair customized and they have been actually holding up extremely well!! They’re also extremely easy to clean, and they have socks you can purchase that work perfectly with them that have little rubber supporting on the back so they don’t slip down so it look like your just wearing the shoes! You can purchase protection spray and there’s just so much more! This company in general I believe definitely makes sure it is serving top quality products and promises!.

I had the old version Dog Town High Sk8 skateboard shoes for many years. They were legendary. A true skateboader shoe. These are not the same, but they still have a similar feel and characteristics which make them a great choice for general use.

The sizing has changed, but I had no issues with the size chart accuracy. With any footwear you need at least 8mm to 15mm extra on top of your bare foot size. With most Vans, the toe box tapers as expected, but doesn’t imped toe movement or overall toe box room.

I’m a die hard Vans fan and have grown to love the style and feel. I’m happy with them. Cheers.

I was one of the lucky ones who ordered the correct size. I’m a womens 9 US and ordered a 7. 5 (which ended up being mens). The style is so cute and they look great on, but they offer no support or comfort.

The toe box is narrow on my wide feet and the soles are completely flat. I have pretty high arches and this was the worst. I have added inserts to help, but the shoe height makes it a bit too tight and further narrows the already narrow toe box.

If you’re not going to wear these for more than 2 hours and don’t plan on walking very much. these are the shoes for you! haha. Such a bummer!.

I appreciate the time & effort involved in the production of these sneakers. Although the white on white weren’t my first choice. They were sent to me as a compensatory option due to such high demand on the batch of my original purchase.

Apparently each batch of shoes needs at least a 2 month window prior to delivery & I needed my pair prior to my Birthday trip to Tulum Mexico. The service representative gave me the option of a full refund or an alternate pair.

I would usually take the refund but the patience displayed in handling my precarious predicament assured me that my best interests would be taken to assure satisfaction. So I chose the shoes sent via priority shipping & I do not regret my purchase.

My wife had been to a conference and she was admiring the speakers shoes, because she knows like great shoes not just good shoes. So she contacted the speaker on break and inquired about the shoes and quickly sent me the web site.

I must have looked around for 3-4 days on this site finally decided on two pair that i wanted to try for now. I received updates during the whole process of just who and what was being done with my personally custom made shoes.

I love the updates so much that before my shoes were to arrive i ordered two more pair of a different kind of shoes and a pair of boots. I must say when the first two pair arrived they were perfect. Both were perfectly packaged and wrapped individually.

I am still super excited and can’t wait for the others to get here which should be at the end of this month. Best way i can say this out of a 1-10 grade i give these shoes a 10 and suggest ordering more because you will not be disappointed in the craftsmanship of your shoe makers.

I purchased Morgen Trainers (full-grain leather & suede) in black with gum sole. I love them. They are beautiful and fit great. Really nice travel bags are included, which I had to use last week due to an evacuation for a wildfire here in CO.

That’s right, I thought of my Morgans as I was fleeing a wildfire. I definitely wasn’t going to wear these beauties during the evacuation. Now on to the experience. I have never been so informed during the manufacturing process.

I’ve been holding on to a gift card since January waiting and hoping for a new style of shoe from Suavs. My wait ended when I saw that the Women’s The Classic Sneaker had been added. I love the style upgrade, especially in the heel.

They have a removeable insole which is super-handy because I was able to add a 3/4 arch support insole for my plantar fasciitis underneath. They are so comfortable that it feels like I’m wearing socks.

I’m looking forward to seeing how well they wash up (because WHITE) and also how they feel when wearing barefoot, I haven’t tried that yet. As much as I love them so far, I have to admit that if I hadn’t had the giftcard I probably wouldn’t have considered them for myself.

IMO they are very pricey for a casual sneaker.

I’m so happy with these sneakers. I searched for a long time for a classic style shoe that was washable, was good for all seasons, and sustainably made. I wore these around New York City the day after they were delivered.

I walked for 9 miles and I got zero blisters and was comfy the entire day with no wearing them in or band aids. The fit truly is perfect. These are comfy and look great with any outfit. There was a few small defects with my order but it was easily and quickly resolved with the support team.

I have already recommend them to many friends and I recommend you buy them too!.

This is my first time trying Suavs. I wanted a cute narrow white sneaker to wear with dresses and cropped pants. I have been wearing them for a few weeks and am so impressed. I love that they are so soft and comfortable.

No breaking in, even without socks. I never wear shoes without socks, but these are so comfortable it’s not even an issue. They are true to size and fit my narrow feet comfortably. I will definitely purchase again.

I’ll admit I was skeptical of what was being advertised, but the shoes really surprised me with their waterproof capabilities. I wore these shoes for a week straight as I walked through countless miles in the Orlando theme parks.

It rained every day of my travels and I was continually surprised with how well these shoes kept water out. I got caught in the rain, stepped in puddles, and even stood in some standing water and the shoes remained waterproof as advertised.

My socks were indeed dry! On top of that they still look really good after having survived a lot of walking through rain, mud, and dirt. More than any regular sneakers would through the same conditions.

I was also concerned about the fit at first; I normally wear a size 10. 5 and they recommended I get a size 10. I hoped they wouldn’t be too tight but they fit really comfortably because of their stretchy fabric.

They felt great and I didn’t feel too constricted by the size. The only reason this review isn’t 5 stars is because I feel for the price the shoes could have been slightly more comfortable. They were comfortable enough to wear for a week straight, but I yearned for my more capable (though less waterproof) sneakers with better insoles.

I might just get a more cushioned insole from a third party, but overall I was very happy with my purchase and I couldn’t stop showing off the waterproof capabilities to my friends.

I got the women’s everyday pearl white shoes. Overall, I do love the waterproof feature of the shoe and they are also pretty easy to clean compared to other sneakers. They’re very stylish and go with any outfit and I like that they have a wide base and extra wiggle room for the toes (I’m a women’s 9 and they were a perfect length for my liking, not too snug and not too much extra room).

My biggest complaint however is that the ankle cuff is quite a tight fit, it’s not very stretchy like I expected it to be. But maybe it’s just because I have wide ankles though. Putting them on when you’re rushing is also a bit frustrating since there’s no ankle tab to help pull the shoe into place.

The laces also don’t serve much purpose other than to add stylishness, which is fine, but they tend to easily come undone throughout the day. Lastly, my feet tend to get hot pretty quickly in these. Maybe it’s due to the waterproof feature not really allowing much air to come in.

My feet are okay wearing these for about six hours, but I wouldn’t wear these for a twelve-hour shift. I spent a lot on these though so I’m going to stick with them, I hope I can like them more over time.

I bought a pair of Vessi’s a few months ago in anticipation of an upcoming trip I was taking to the UK. I wore them a few times to “break them in”, because I’ve had to do that with other shoes. Not necessary! They were comfortable from the get-go, and I love that you can wear them with or without socks.

Now, I took them on my trip to the UK as my main pair of footwear and wore them almost every day for a month. I walked around cities, towns, castles, churches, in the woods, and even when there was literally rain for 24 hours straight in Scotland with the rain blowing sideways.

This was the testing point – it really would make or break these shoes, as they were finally being tested in a torrential downpour. (And I’m not kidding. I visited the Isle of Skye in Scotland and it didn’t stop raining for a whole day.

) I went out while this deluge was happening and was only out for 20 minutes or so because it was raining so hard. When I came back, my clothing was soaked because it was raining so hard that even my rain jacket was soaking through to my clothes.

I took off my shoes, and the only part of me that wasn’t dripping were my feet. They were completely dry. COMPLETELY. No water had gotten into my shoes, despite the constant rain and wind that soaked the rest of me.

I couldn’t believe it. They stood up to wind and rain during one of the wettest days I’ve ever experienced in my life. My hat is off to you, Vessi. If you hate wet feet, trust me. Buy these.

Peter Millar has invested in shoes which feel and look great. Each model I’ve tried has a different feel. For me, these Hyperlight Drifts are an occasional upscale casual shoe rather than a daily beater.

They are surefooted and slip on/off easily. I like the way the Navy accent on the heel looks with the Stone upper. I love that Peter Millar supplies shoe bags and extra laces with many of their shoes, including these Drifts.

The box is nice enough to store them in the closet. Has a small pic of the shoes on the end of the box so you can quickly find the pair you want. Another great feature of the Peter Millar shoes is that the sides of the white soles STAY white longer than other shoes I own.

I wear 10. 5 Wide to 11 in most shoes. I wear an 11 in the Apollo line. The 11 in the Hyperlight Drift is a snug initial fit with moderately thick cotton socks, but I think it’ll stretch a bit. It’s fine right now with a slimmer (or no) sock.

I have had both previous versions and in my opinion, these are the best yet. They’re a little less easy to put on than prior models, but they provides a more secure fit at the top of the lacing structure -It’s a true half size small in my opinion, which I would say the same as prior models.

I’m a 13 in nike, adidas, Asics, etc and the 13. 5 is ideal -The new bottoms just seem to have a more stable platform and it shows. You notice it on a cardio machine such as the elliptical -Arch support! I do not have great feet (a little flat + I tend to pronate) and after walking a long distance I don’t have any arch issues.

Seems to me it’s a universal arch which will serve the vast majority of consumers well.

Shoe fits true to size. The T-lock laces worked great and easy to slip on/off. First time wearing, I was traveling through multiple airports and had no rubbing or blisters (which can occur breaking in a new shoe).

Ordered the black, which has a little bit of blue/grey pattern across the shoe which looks great with both jeans or casual pants. They also look good with shorts and a polo to give a nicer and more stylish look than regular tennis shoes/sneakers.
