20 Best Shoes For Middle Schoolers (2023 Updated)

It’s like a piece of foam with a band holding it together. There is no durability with this shoe. My son can only walk in them, cannot play at all. He wore them on the first day of school and as he played for recess, they slid right off.

This is super disappointing because after 1 wear, the soles could not be cleaned enough to return them. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! The only reason it got 1 star is because I couldn’t give less! Now I have to spend more money to replace them.

PLEASE STOP SELLING THIS ITEM.

My son is pretty lazy when it comes to tying his shoes or otherwise destroying the laces. This was a great alternative. They still look very nice and he likes how comfy they are. He wanted a second pair.

Got them in black/white and red/white.

These shoes are easy to put on and take off. They are comfortable and practical. Love the color, too. The rubberized toe should extend the shoe’s lifespan (his previous shoes with fabric-only toe got holes pretty fast).

I originally bought these for 13 year old son but they hurt the arch of his feet every time he wore them so I tried them on and they fit me perfectly. I got him a 7 in Big Kids and apparently that’s equivalent to an 8.

5 in women’s which is my size. I can feel what he’s talking about with the arch pain. I feel like if you have flat feet or if you lean most of you weight into your heels (like my son) you will feel the burning sensation he felt.

I tried to figure out what he was feeling because they feel GREAT on me and when I lean my weight back into the shoes, I felt the burn. I don’t normally stand with my weight to the back of my heels but these shoes rise up on the heel and it makes you want to lean back.

For me, they are perfect, I LOVE them! Super comfy and stylish. Not easy to wear with socks though, in my opinion. Use super thin socks that don’t slide easily. I use Peds ankle socks and they’re extremely thin and have rubber on the heal to stop them from sliding down but when I slide my foot into these shoes, they push my socks back and it’s uncomfortable.

I don’t have an issue with sweaty or stinky feet so I just wear them without socks. I’ve worn my Sketchers slip on sneakers for years without socks and they never smelled so I feel okay without socks.

My Son is 10 I bought these sneakers because of the low price for a short vacation I didn’t want to spend $125 for my son to ruin the sneaker on our trip, he is very active. My son absolutely loves these sneakers, he will not wear any of the other expensive sneakers I have bought him.

They are super comfortable for him. He has worn them for a year, they have held together, although they look roughly worn. No holes on the soles and the material has not torn. I have to get him another pair because I can’t stand that they look so worn, but 10 year old boys don’t care! I would recommend these sneakers.

This is my 3rd purchased of the same style of shoes for my son. Hopefully, Nike would never discontinue this style. I have a High-functioning Autistic son with Sensory Processing Disorder, finding the right socks, outfits & shoes for him were always a nightmare.

He’d wear shoes with laces, but I had to tie them up for him & tucked the laces in a way that they won’t come undone easily. No matter how long we trained him to tie his own shoes, he just couldn’t do it.

This pair had been a godsend. Not only that he didn’t have to worry about laces, according to my son, they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever bought him. And I will continue to purchase this style until he reached size 7.

Nike, please don’t discontinue this style. And, it would be perfect if I can customize this shoes for his upcoming big milestone birthday.

I’ve been buying Asics runners for my kids for many years now, after trying other brands. These are great for school & weekends. They are lightweight & comfortable. Asics are a slightly wider fit as standard for kids, which is great.

No more rips on the side of kids shoes. I’d like to see more colour options for boys. Also would like to see more vegan leather options especially around the front of the shoe as they last longer than mesh.

They’re easy to get on & off without the fuss of having to tie their shoes. Also, he has a wide foot & these accommodate that well, and are very comfy on him. However, I bought a size bigger than he currently wears so they’d fit him (length-wise) all winter but, his toes are already come to the end & I’ll be buying another pair of shoes very soon.

If you’re shopping online or without having your child with you, maybe get 2 sizes bigger?? Overall, they’re great shoes though. My 3 yr old won’t keep any shoes on at all but loves jumping around and playing in his new shoes.

My child who has a wide foot tried the display in store & seemed happy with it, but needed a size slightly longer which I purchased online. Strangely, upon trying the new larger shoes, he complained they were too tight! I guess maybe the display had already been worn in a bit from try ons.

As I think runners should be comfortable without needing to wear in, I ended up returning for a pair of NBs. Love Rebel; easy & hassle free shopping experience.

These shoes are for school uniforms so they were perfect. He has to have all black. The quality is not what I would expect from Nike. My son usually wears adidas and those feel better made. They feel thin and as if they will not last.

But good. They should be priced lower.

Brought for my son for school as he has huge feet for his age and cant do up laces, so the Velcro was the main reason for my purchase. They have the soft soles and are comfortable as per my son. Easy to wash and very light weigh.

The only issue is if they get full of sand you cant take out the innersole so can make slightly harder to get it out but i definitely purchase again.

My son loves the shoes. Perfect for the start of the new school year. I did size up by a half so he can grow into them. Also my son is on the spectrum and has trouble with tying his shoes. These are perfect for him because they have the velcro straps.

I definitely recommend for young kids.

These are great shoes. For regular wear, and for uniform shoes. We like these so much, that I buy these in low or high top every year. We love that you don’t have to tie shoes, and they have a clean look with the velcro strap because of that.

These last too. They look good for a long time, which isn’t the case with all shoes. My daughter loves them, but does prefer the high top ones now that she’s getting older. She’s 10 and in a size 2. I can’t recommend these enough.

I really wish they offered no tie in these in bigger sizes, because they look so much better than sloppy, dirty strings hanging off of a shoe. I think we should incorporate no tie in many styles. I am thankful that my daughter has a small foot, but I dread the day she needs a size 4 in these.

Perfect preschool shoes! I bought the Nike Court Borough Low 2 Preschool shoes for my daughter starting her trial pre kindy. She loves it. Pro: Easy to wear. Nice all white colour. Fit nicely. Can be unisex.

I love these shoes because they are so comfortable! But there very hard to get on. I tried on every size. One of the things is you got to watch where you are stepping, I kept these for only one month.

They can easily get dirty. Even just in the grass. They easily get muddy. On the heel is to short. I am allergic to grass and with the heel so short, the grass lightly touches my heel. So when I am walking in grass I always have to turn around and scratch my heel.

It also feels like a bug is crawling up your heel.

The shoe is exactly as it looks online, but when I received them there was a few small scuffs. -Also, when I opened the box, the shoes were just flopping around loosely with no tissue paper or any stuffer.

There was no lid on the Nike shoe box, and there was a sticker on the box showing a cheaper price than what I paid! Kind of disappointed with dicks sporting goods!.

I bought these shoes for my grandson. He was being bullied for the “Vans” he was wearing. After wearing these to school the first day the bully complimented him on them. My grandson loves them. They fit perfectly! From ordering to when they arrived was fast and easy ! Thanks Dick’s !.

I fully accept that I could be my perception. But the sole and tag on back are pink not red! And the tick is black glitter. I didn’t see this when I ordered for my two boys! Just incase anyone else sees them like I did.

As long as I could remember I wanted a pair of these not really mattering what color, the fact that all these years later they were released again made my heart so happy, the last few years I’ve been seeing them in all colors I finally had to buy myself a pair then I saw they came in all the white was what made me realize it was meant to be.

I ordered a youth size because I usually buy youth size, they are usually available. Let’s be honest kids wearing a youth 7 probably have no idea how amazing an air max 97 casual is. but any way they arrived I unboxed them and been on cloud nine since they arrived everything about them screams casual but I can pair with anything!!! When you walk in them you feel like there’s a bounce in your step, the width is perfect for a woman or child’s foot the dozing is perfect, true to its description, I don’t understand why I waited so many years to make the leap.

As many shoes that I e bought and collected over the years air max are my favorite!.

I am highly disappointed. I ordered some Nike shoes for my son and I received WORN SHOES AND TWO DIFFERENT SIZES, one 12c and the other 13c. The box says 12c which is what I ordered. But to send me worn shoes when I paid for brand new shoes… and let alone two different sizes is totally unacceptable.

I barely opened the box to have my son try them on and I see this… yes I do have the receipt as well. First time ever ordering from this company as well. I recorded a video but It shows I’m only allowed to post photos.

I was looking for a nice pair of Nike shoes for my 10yr old daughter. She likes pink like most girls do. Unfortunately, the hot pink ones have light blue on the sides and on the top. So then, I saw the light pink ones but they are combined with an awful GREEN!!! come on!! Nike, you gotta make those color combination better or do not combine at all.

Just pink and white would have been perfect for most people!! Hopefully the colors next year are better, I really like the style of the shoe.

So my husband bought these and its a great choice because of the leather part. Our daughter is very active and is always jumping in mud or playing in the dirt. The only thing I don’t like is the color, white gets dirty so fast.

But these shoes are quality and have lasted us a while. We bought them 5 months ago. They have some wear to them, but nothing like the cloth material or Blinky light up shoes. Those ones don’t last.

Bought these in the Winter to wear in the Spring and just put them on for the first time today. They are super cute, super sturdy and super comfy!! They’ll go with so many outfits, too. Note that these are Boys’ sizes and differ from Women’s sizes.

I saw a blogger wearing it and I just have to buy it as it looks different from other Nike shoe style. I bought the kids size for a lower price and it look just like the women style. It’s comfortable and look just like a tennis style shoe.

We bought these this week for our back to school kiddo. We’ve been wearing the nike flex runner since kiddo was 2 and a half. Three years and several pairs later; we’re back for kindergarten shoes. I always buy two pairs, usually different colors.

Best athletic and running shoe on market for this kiddo. Tried the kids size 12 on in the store,wore them out of the store(yes, we’re those parents)never took them off until 4 hours and much walking later.

I am a fan of Jordan 1’s and I wanted to get a pair for my 11yr old son. It is a nice shoe, love the colors, but I just wasn’t too happy with the leather quality of the shoe. It almost looks like plastic.

I just might be returning them.

Bought these for my 11 year old and he loves them. For once I was the cool mum. They are light and very comfortable. He wore them all day the first time and no complaints of any blisters or soreness.

The laces do up easily and unlike some don’t keep coming undone through out the day. My son is very active and is forever doing his laces up. They look great and provide good comfort for a growing boy.

There is good ventilation on the sides of the shoes for those smelly sweaty boys feet. The tongue of the shoe is secured down with elastic on each side making it stay in position when wearing them making it more comfortable for the wearer.

All in all a great quality shoe at a good price for a growing boy that is very active. I would recommend the shoe to others.

Do not buy these shoes. I went to a shoe store and liked how these shoes looked so I decided to try them on. They fit well and seemed like good shoes, but I was a little worried about the strange lace set up.

Despite that I bought them and started playing in them. The first pair I had broke after 21 days at the part on the right shoelace. Luckily the store I bought them at had a 45 day return policy so I was able to trade them in.

I decided to get another pair because I thought that particular pair might’ve been defective. 25 days later the new pair broke in the exact same place as the previous pair. They let me trade them in again and obviously I asked for a different shoe this time.

These shoes are made poorly and will break. This is a warning to not buy these shoes.

I must have gotten the lucky pair, as I feel like I can jump higher than Jordan in these things. The movie “White men can’t jump” can now have a sequel because I am dunking on everyone now. Moon shoes, that is probably the best way to describe them.

They are so soft and gentle on the feet and fit like a glove. There will be plenty of games played in these things. I can’t wait to hit the court. I got the white and red ones, so that I can really stand out when captains are picking teams.

I know that there are some highly talented individuals out there, so keeping up with the kids 1/2 my age will greatly improve my status as a Dad Bod Baller. Here’s to my ring side status increasing!!.

I bought this product for my daughter 2 weeks ago and she loves the look and feel. The only trouble we had was with sizing. It seemed to run big and it took us a couple of tries to get the right size.

I bought this a month ago hoping that my 11 year old daughter would like it as a surprise for back to school. She really wanted Black or White shoes to match with whatever cute outfits she wore. So I met to her expectations and got her the plain white AF1.

Our daughter loves the look and style of this shoe. I am not happy with the overall life of the shoe. AF1’s do not age well. They are stylish and go well with several outfits, but are very hard to clean.

When the soles get soiled – the sole will permanently stain. you have to be very careful when cleaning the white leather, it cannot get too wet and you cannot clean it too hard, the white comes off. The shoe strings are poorly constructed – they unravel and stain very easily.

My daughter loves these shoes! I was happy to find a 7Y with a pink swoosh. They are popular with all ages, but especially her middle school classmates. They are comfortable and hold up well, since they are all leather.

I bought these shoes online a few weeks ago. I tried them on in store. They are amazing! I am a size 7. 5 in Women’s Nike shoes and the 6 in kids was perfect. The support in them is good. I am a teacher and stand all day and they have not bothered me.

They do hit higher up above my ankle than I am used to, but that was expected. I would recommend wearing higher cut socks. The pink swoosh on the side of mine is another plus!.

I love these blazers! I like to be different and not get the OG pair everyone is buying so the 2 color scheme caught my eye and they are my absolute favorite! Received many compliments! I’m a 6. 5 normally but closer to 7 in women’s sneakers because my feet swell from being on them I’m on my feet for 12 + hours. Size 5 boys sneakers fit perfect.

I bought these for my 7 year old son to get away from Velcro shoes. He loved them at first but now says he doesn’t because they easily come untied. I am baffled how because I double knot them. Not much wear and tear on them yet because he doesn’t want to wear them now.

Bought these for my son’s every growing feet. He’s normally a size 2 and they are huge. I could have gotten away with ordering a 1. I’m holding on to them instead of returning them since they will eventually fit him.

I just got the shoes. I like them, they’re cute. They are just HUGE. I have a pair of vans that are the same size and they fit perfectly. For some reason, these didn’t. I don’t regret the purchase however.

My daughter was excited to receive these for Christmas. They are a good fit for her size 6 kids/7.5 women’s foot.

Don’t hesitate in getting the Nike Air Zoom Crossover Kids’ Basketball Shoes. Our boy not only loved the style of them, he also loved the fit. I was hesitant with the white color of them especially for being a kids pair of shoes.

I was amazed and surprised that I was able to easily wipe off a muddy foot print provided by sibling rivalry on the very first use. After several uses some scuffs started to show so I decided to toss in the wash.

The pair of shoes came out looking brand new other than minor scuffs on the sole after our kid constantly using them as his new favorite pair of shoes. He did almost everything in them. I would mention that after a long day he did state that the pair felt a bit heavy, but that didn’t stop him from wearing them again.

He wore them with socks and without them to no complaints. I loved that they were easy for him to put on and take of. I also liked that you can dress them up and down as need be. I’ll even add that our girl can wear them too.

We got a lot of head turns and a couple of “Were did you get those shoes?” Definitely will continue to recommend.

My son has been using these sneakers and tells me that he finds them extremely comfortable and says it makes him faster. We initially thought it was be way too big because of the design of the sole of the sneaker but they actually fit perfectly, true to size.

The sole of the sneaker does make your feet look bigger than they are. I can see that being a turn off for some, but for kids, the design actually looks cool and unique. It has been a lot more durable than other sneakers my son has been using.

My son is constantly on his feet and needed a shoe that could keep up with him. He plays basketball, skateboards, and cycles. He has worn these shoes for all of his regular activities. He has told me they are extra comfy and loves the cool look of the shoe.

My son is tall for his age, he wears a 6. 5Y and has no problem getting these shoes on himself. I really like how durable the shoe is, they have been worn nonstop for 2 weeks and still look great. He has noticed a few details that really make these shoes special such as game mode on the front by the laces and fly on a small tag on the back of the shoe.
