I’m on my 5th pair of the Florsheim Lakeside Slip Boat Shoes. I considered buying 2 pairs in case they’re discontinued. I wear these until they are wore out because they’re as comfortable slippers. Plus they go with jeans and khakis, and polos or button down shirts.

And the leather is really nice quality. I wear a size 13 and many of the shoes that are available to me in my size have issues, whether they bind and hit my toes when I take a step, are too wide or short/long.

The Florsheims fit perfectly and never rub against my toes. Highly recommend.

I bought a pair of these shoes 3 years ago, and still wear them pretty much every day. The only wear is some of the polish is worn but only because I did absolutely no care on them. That and the normal wear on the soles.

The stitching and everything else has no wear and the shoes still wear like new. They are super comfortable and light weight. There are other good products out there, but I swear by this brand and won’t wear anything else.

You can’t go wrong with them. Highly, highly recommended.

Beautiful retro looking sneakers. My man is in love with them. I got him one whole size larger because he walks a lot and with sneakers you need to go half of one size larger to feel comfortable when your feet swell after walking.

And he does walk a lot. They look adorable with jeans. I love the retro vibe. They are a little on the narrower side but also my husband has very wide feet. He says they are comfortable nice looking and light.

I have wanted these for a really long time and then I finally got them a couple months ago. I try to make myself wear them and every time I do, I feel so awkward. They look and feel so awkward on me.

I’m speaking only for myself obviously. But it’s like I’m wearing bright white grandpa orthopedic shoes or golf shoes. They are super stiff and super white. I’ve tried breaking them in repeatedly. I’ve tried bending them in half, and scuffing them up and wearing them without socks but with washable insoles.

They still seem so out of place on my feet. I don’t know if the gray or navy would have been better for me or if this kind of shoe is just all wrong for me. Anyway really disappointed to write this review.

I love these shoes because they are so cool and fun. And they are definitely a conversation piece. As shoe enthusiast I value everything piece of the shoe experience from the packaging they are shipped in to the box and the inside packing.

I’m giving this a 3 star because the shoe box itself was smashed when I received them. And to me that’s very disappointing. And to any shoe enthusiast it’s disappointing. We value everything about the shoe.

DSW could definitely take more pride in shipping shoes to their customers so that the experience is nothing than less exciting for the customer. Unfortunately this seems to be a tend with DSW. Do better DSW.

I would like to suggest that the Madison line be separated and highlighted as a premium stand alone brand much like toyota/Lexus. The craftsmanship and leather choices in the Madison Brokington lines far exceed the overall shoe line and brand recognition I see in fashion trends.

This newest iteration is a great step forward in evolving the line but please stick to the original DNA of the Madison. In addition it would please me and my fellow fashionista friends if you could absolutely preserve the original leather sole and maybe institute the use of lambskin leather as a premium option.

The Madison shoe in my opinion is the most significant addition to a Bespoke modern suit and continues to gain popularity with my highlight of the model line. Thank you for this opportunity for feedback.

Lovely. I’ve always wanted a pair of white leather trainers. I bought them when they were on sale because my current ones were getting old. The shoes are light, soft, comfortable and very easy to wear.

I’m really happy to have found a product that is exactly what I was looking for, it looks clean and goes with both beautiful and casual clothes. When I look at Instagram, I have an endless supply of shoes that I want to buy, but they are usually erased in my brain due to budget constraints.

But then I started thinking about trainers. I hadn’t had a pair of trainers for a long time, because I thought I couldn’t afford them, and because I was used to not having enough variety in my holiday footwear.

Of course, it’s good to have a variety of trainers to coordinate with your outfit, but since I only wear them on holidays and I don’t have the budget, I decided to focus on white leather trainers. These trainers are very comfortable and have excellent functionality, such as the insole and the structure of the shoe.

Really comfortable and beautifully made. Tried on the blue version in store and was more than satisfied with the fit. I was after the black version which they didn’t have in-stock at my store. Myer sent it out to me promptly via the mail.

These are definitely not a summer boot. Your feet will overheat due to the lining. It’s best for those in seasonal climates, especially those with proper falls, winters and springs. So, if you’re looking for a wear-and-go boot for festivals or hikes, these are definitely not marketed or designed for those activities.

Bottom Line: Buy these boots if you want a pair for walking around the city, going on dates, or wearing to the office. If you have arthritis or other support concerns, this boot may be a great option for you.

Although I haven’t put these through a winter yet, I can say these seem up to the task!.

I wear dress shoes everyday to work and have for about 10 years. I have gone thru many pairs of dress shoes of all types, styles, and brand but none were more disappointing than this pair. I bought 3 pairs of 8.

5 Florsheims at 1 time and all of them fit differently despite being different only in color when it came to 2 of the pairs. Also they seemed to show wrinkles in the leather quicker or more obvious than other dress shoes.

Not sure how to explain except just to say they looked old after 1 day of wear. They also clearly cheaped out on the construction in a few obvious ways. No good cushioning inside! The heals all had a foe tri-colored strip glued to it that is supposed to simulate actual layers of different materials however they just went with rubber and glued on this piece, which by the way started falling off after a couple months.

I have bought the Aston Greys and their Newly renamed Vince Camuto as well, which cost about half the Florsheim and lasted much longer, always fit accurately across their 8. 5 sizes from one shoe to another, and were more comfortable.

I still have some of these other shoes that I shine up and enjoy wearing. The Florsheim however were just terrible shoes all around and will never buy them again.

My dad needed a fancy pair for a wedding. He read the reviews and he is always looking for comfort and style. What’s hard for him when buying shoes is that he has a wide foot, however half a size up and a medium worked just fine.

I think he normally wears an 11 E. So got an 11. 5 medium. He didn’t seem to complain, which he normally would, snd they were comfortable. Stylish also. Would recommend. If you are a very particular gentleman, I would pay double the price and get a polished all leather shoe but you get a great shoe for this price point, and they came in the mail just a day after they said they would which is not bad for the holiday season.

They’re actually comfortable enough to wear all day and not be in a hurry to throw them off after a long day I bought these shoes in black about 2 weeks ago, and after wearing them 8-12 hours per day I am impressed! So, I bought these on a sale intending to use them to try out minimalist shoes and to transition over to a more traditional closed-toe minimalist shoe. In essence, it was my “trial product. ” Instead, I have ended up finding every excuse to wear them that I can; I’m a minimalist shoe convert.

It’s currently winter, and I wear them even when I’m freezing my toes off because I love them so much. I’ll probably end up getting a pair of Mesa Trail’s sometime soon (kind of pricey, but holding out for a sale because I think they’ll be worth it!), but even then I’ll keep wearing the Z-Treks as much as I can get away with.

I have found the Z-Treks to be a very good sandal, with just a few minor critiques, which I have outlined below. I never thought I’d be hiking in sandals, but I think I’m a convert. There’s an unparalleled level of movement and ventilation.

Definitely not perfect for everything, but a very good all-purpose sandal. Pros: * Sole: The sole on this shoe is awesome! Grippy rubber, but it currently appears to be holding up well to abrasion. It’s thin (as far as I can tell it is pretty much on par with my wife’s Genesis sandals), but it’s honestly a really good thickness.

It’s not forgiving to bad walking style (which is a plus with minimalist shoes anyway), and it has a good balance of protection and barefoot feeling. It wouldn’t be a great sandal for a super sharp and rocky trail, but for most trails it’s just fine.

I recently went to Hawaii for a week and only wore these the entire trip, including around 8 miles of hiking on muddy trails. The sole had ample protection from rocks and sticks, but was thin enough to allow me to use my feet to help with grip (e.

g. gripping roots with toes, etc. ) That alone was worth the minimalist transition. * Heel guard thing: I thought this thing was kind of gimmicky, but it seems to work pretty well. It seems to keep little rocks and debris out of the heel area, which is a good thing on the trail.

* Straps: The strap system is secure. I hiked a lot in off-camber muddy clay, which is about as slippery as you can get. The straps held my foot in place, and the strap attachment points also helped to keep my foot in the sandal.

However, there is still ample room to move your foot, but it never feels sloshy. The straps just work, and that’s the end of the story. Cons: * Heel strap system: While the straps are secure, I would like to see an adjustable buckle on the heel strap as well.

Currently, this is accomplished by a hook-and-loop closure, which from my experience on other products can’t be considered a durable fastener. Hook-and-loop packs with and traps dirt and mud, and loses strength over time and use.

In addition, this closure has a limited range of adjustability (I’ve adjusted it in to the max, and I’d like a little more out of it. ) Putting an adjustable slide on the heel strap like the front of the shoe would allow a greater range of adjustability and would be a better long-term solution.

* Sole: While I have loved the sole overall, I am puzzled by one design element: there is a molded-in groove around the backside of the heel just before the heel cup (or whatever that is called on the back.

) This groove serves no apparent functional purpose in the design (I could be wrong here, but I haven’t seen a reason for it). However, I have found that on long treks in the sandal with no sock, the ridge begins to rub uncomfortably on the bottom edge of the heel.

I could see some blistering coming from this area if left unaddressed. Socks do seem to help, and I think I’ve started to develop a callous in this area from doing a fair amount of walking/hiking in the sandals, which reduces the discomfort.

Additionally, I found this groove to be a prolific trapper of sand and small rocks, with also adds to the abrasion on the heel caused by the shoe. So, I would love to see this groove removed on future iterations of the shoe (unless, of course, there is a very important function of this groove that I’m not aware of.

) * Straps: This is just an experience that I have with my shoe (I think it’s a rare quality issue) but it’s worth mentioning. There is some uneven/protruding stitching over the toe on my left sandal, which has caused some very uncomfortable rubbing on my foot/toe while sockless in the shoe.

I had to tape over the area on my foot for the first month wearing the shoe because I quickly started rubbing enough to rub through the skin and develop a scab. I’ve since developed a scab (and eventually a blister) on two spots on my big toe as the shoe shifts slightly on the downhill/uphill.

This was something that could have been easily found in a QC check, but for some reason, it slipped through. So, a little tighter QC on this area would be great on Xero’s end. Overall, a great shoe that could be refined a little bit to reach near-perfection.

TL;DR – I loved these shoes, and I don’t have foot pain anymore. These shoes were cheaper than a doctor, so I highly approve. Now for the context. Years ago, I injured the same foot twice in the same month.

The back-to-back injuries did not heal well, and it caused my muscles to tighten on one side, which made me favor weight on one side of my foot. I had ankle and foot pain off-and-on for 4 years after this.

It would get better when I got a new pair of shoes, but it would quickly get worse afterwards. This would happen because the padding inside the shoe would wear more quickly where I was putting more weight.

This, in turn, would cause the padding of the shoe to form into a slant, further pushing my foot into favoring that side even more. Try and I did to keep my foot flat while walking, it just wouldn’t work.

My shoe was conforming to, even enforcing, the improper walking that I had developed. It was manageable until I had taken a job where I was on my feet nearly all day on a concrete warehouse floor. I was seriously considering going to physical therapy or a doctor, but I was not financially in a good place at the time, so I was hoping to avoid doing so.

But the idea of replacing my shoes every couple months wasn’t exactly economical either. Luckily, I stumbled across an ad for Xero Shoes. At first, I was concerned about the shoes being durable enough for my work environment, but I was desperate to try something different, so I gave it a shot.

To my surprise, the shoes not only helped, but the pain went away altogether. Looking back, I wouldn’t say that you should copy me. Also, to be clear, I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice.

But I can say: these shoes worked out very well for me with the pain I was experiencing. As my experience was somewhat unique, I thought it important that I share it for others to consider. Now for the more typical “review”: The shoes were very comfortable once I got used to them.

At first, the weight wasn’t “uncomfortable” by any means, but it was something of a psychological adjustment. I purchased a pair of the “Aqua Sport” as well as the “Hana,” but you might say that both pairs of shoes felt similar to what I remember from childhood – “Aqua Socks” – a swimwear product, to those who may not be familiar.

Put another way, the shoes were lightweight and didn’t lace particularly tight. I was used to shoes that “gripped” my foot more, but the simple fact was these shoes just didn’t need to grip my foot that much.

Because of the light weight and the fit, there wasn’t any real risk of the shoe coming off by just walking, and my foot wasn’t at any real risk of slipping inside the shoe either. So even though it felt like the shoe was kinda just there, and wasn’t really holding on to anything, I eventually got used to the feeling.

The bottoms of the shoe were surprisingly durable considering how flexible they are. I was expecting to feel rocks and such things far more than I did, which is good. But that being said, in my particular case, the sides of the shoe were less durable than other shoes I was used to wearing before.

In the photo, you can see some of the damage to the fabric – some of that happened fairly quickly, and the rest happened over the course of a year. As of now, I have transitioned to a desk job, but at first my “Aqua Sport” shoes saw plenty of physical work.

You might suppose those would be the pair that would look more roughed up, but that isn’t the case. The “Hana” look far worse for wear. If this were a standard shoe, I would be complaining about poor durability, but I don’t really feel the same with these.

The fact is, the shoe is much, much lighter weight, and in the grand scheme of things, that is far more important. If that light weight means thinner fabric – so be it. The way I see it, do I want a shoe that is built like a tank, or do I want a shoe that is comfortable and does what I need it to do? So in my case, it would’ve been nice in a sense if they were more durable, but that wasn’t actually important to me.

So the durability came down more to looks than function. My shoes looked a little ratty at a point, but it didn’t actually start to affect their function until just recently. In all, they lasted about a year with close to daily use for a large portion of that time period.

That is pretty close to what I would expect from a normal shoe, even if I perhaps would have expected a normal shoe to look “new” longer than these did. If having a shoe that can take a beating like a tank is something you want, I wouldn’t recommend the “Hana” or the “Aqua Sport.

” I know that Xero also makes shoes that are intended to be a bit tougher, so perhaps look there, but I can’t answer for those. But for me, these have been comfortable and healthy. I decided to give one of the other styles a try for my next pair of shoes, so count me a repeat customer.

I have owned these shoes for 4 years now and they are still going strong. I needed a shoe that was comfortable if you had to be on your feet at length, yet look very professional when in the law office and courtroom.

These superseded expectation and are my favorite shoe to wear. I wish all my shoes were this comfortable. I have them in Cognac color and they are super sharp looking; truthfully the picture does them no justice.

They go well with a 3 piece suit or a pair of jeans and untucked button down for a night at the sports bar. If and when they wear out, I would not hesitate to buy two new pairs, one for dress and one for every day knock around use.

I clean and condition these regularly and give them an occasional polish and they look every bit as good today as when I bought them back in January of 2017 and are IMO more comfortable now. They did not require breaking in or anything but eventually every shoe becomes more comfortable when they mold to your feet and walking characteristics.

I highly recommend these shoes for any guy needing to look sharp but also want the ultimate in comfort. You will be hard pressed to find another shoe this handsome, comfortable, and quality of construction at this price.

I grew up a Florsheim kid: all my shoes for as long as I could remember were bought at an actual Florsheim store from “Uncle Milty” as he was known to everyone in the neighborhood. When I got older and moved out of Brooklyn, I continued to travel to Brooklyn to buy shoes until it became prohibitive and I changed brands.

Then, a few weeks ago (many years later) I found myself in need of a new dress shoe to fit my very wide foot (3E-4E) and searched on Google. the Florsheim Midtown plain toe came up in my search results and it was exactly what I was looking for.

A plain but classy dress shoe in EEE that was also a comfortable shoe (Comfortech). I ordered it on a hunch and sure enough my hunch was right. The only problem is that every shoe from every manufacturer seems to have their own interpretation about size.

I had to literally downsize an entire size from what I have been buying elsewhere to get the right size in this shoe, but the Florsheim customer service reps made it completely painless and worked with me every “step” of the way.

I’ve been wearing this style of shoe for many years. They fit right out of the box – and they come in 3E, perfect for my wide feet – but it takes a few times wearing before they slip on without a shoe horn.

Once broken in, they are as easy to slip into and as comfortable as slippers. I prefer the slip-on style, as I’m not a fan of dress shoes with skinny laces. The soles do wear out over time, getting substantial cracks, but it takes years for this to happen.

I recently ordered two pairs so I have a backup for when that happens again down the road, taking advantage of current prices. I hope Florsheim never drops this style!.

Very comfortable shoe, very well made, and constructed. This is one of Florsheim’s Comfortech styles. I’ve been wearing these type of Florsheim shoes for about the past 20 years. The size of the shoe is very close to the size of my feet.

Not too short, and not too long. The width is very good also. Even though it’s a loafer is still feels snug on my feet, but not too tight. I wear these shoes at work so I have them on all day. They still feel good on my feet after a full day of wearing them.

I was looking for sneakers that were understated and sophisticated but also well built. These are that. The construction is much more like a standard dress shoe. All leather everything. Three things I noticed out of the box.

One – the all leather construction does make them a bit heavier than a standard sneaker due to the absence of synthetic materials. Honestly when I lifted the box I thought “What all is in here?” Item 2 – the smell.

Amazing leather scent. Item 3 is they are – like a dress leather shoe – a little bit stiff initially. The tongue in particular takes a few wearings to fully soften. To me this is a small price to pay for such a nicely made shoe that I assume will last longer than a standard sneaker and look better much longer.

All in all – a really great shoe and well worth the wait. Communication throughout the processs was first rate.

I purchased a pair of Reid and Garcia sneakers. Both are exceptionally well made, and the materials are really high quality. Everything is as high – or better – quality when compared to some of the top tier English and Italian shoe manufacturers.

But these are sneakers, not dress shoes, and they offer quality of materials and construction with the price of what I buy fabric sneakers on Amazon for. The Garcia leather is supple but thick, and will need a little break in.

The Reid Nubuck was super comfortable right out of the box. I am very happy with these purchases and I will be buying more. Thank you Beckett Simonon for wonderful products!.

This is my 3rd pair of Beckett Simonon sneaker already. I kept coming back because you can’t really beat the quality and construction given the price point. The leather is sturdy and thick, much better quality than some of the $200+ sneaker out there.

The design is simple and the silhouette is sleek without being too narrow or cramp that hurt my feet. The shoe doesn’t require break in, it’s comfortable right out of the box even though the leather is thicker than other brands.

Just makes the whole experience more interesting, charming, and personal. I enjoyed reading about each step of the shoe making process, and about the workers who make the magic happen. 2. The packaging of the shoes is very nice.

I have found the prefect tassel loafer. I wear a size thirteen and it is difficult to translate that in an elegant shoe style. Normally one will find shoes of this size worn by men that wear painted on smiles colorful outfits and are employed to distract the bulls at rodeos.

Guys, Ok let me make a confession now. It took almost 4months to make a decision on this manufacturer or call them a designer- Beckett Simonon. I happen to be a very skeptical and meticulous type of shopper when it comes to shoes because it is something you have to feel comfortable in and most importantly, look good in them.

I have tons of Gucci shoes, Ferragamo shoes and Magnannis. After careful deliberation, I decided to make the purchase. Other than the waiting period and the anxiety caused in the process. I can now confidently report to you that this shoes are well made and fit even better than my Gucci and Ferragamo shoes.

Yes i said it. And I know some would find that comment unreal. But I tell you they are well made, very comfortable and quality is out of this world. The ONLY issue i have which at the end compensated for my frustration is the waiting time- took almost two months for the two pairs of shoes to arrive – understandably made from scratch, undergoes different stages of quality inspections).

Worn these two weekends out and I can say I am thoroughly impressed. With a long lead time I patiently waited for these bad boys for months and I can say they are absolutely worth it. Sleek, super stylish, dress them up or down, I am obsessed.

Throughout the manufacturing I was provided step by step updates and it really makes you appreciate the time and work that goes into making these boots! I have an entirely new appreciation for these artisans and the product they create.

I loved these boots as soon as I slipped them on, super soft and comfortable but I can also see they are built to last. I look forward to hopefully many, many years. This is my first purchase from Beckett and even with the manufacturing time, I know the wait will be worth it.

These boots in this color are what I’ve been looking for for a long time! They’re absolutely gorgeous. The Beckett Simonon team worked hard during the pandemic to get these to me. All their effort really shows! The bordeaux color, the look and shape of the boot, are just stellar.

If I had a complaint, its that they don’t ship to Alaska (we worked around that), and the boots don’t come in wide sizes. I had to struggle to get these bad boys on, but once I did, they looked great.

May need to invest in a shoe widener. I already have a pair of Monk strap Becketts and they’re super comfortable. Great company, and I’ve got more orders on the way! Now I have my eyes on their suede Chelsea’s now.

Super investment!.

My rule for footwear is that I don’t pass judgment until I have worn them at least 10 times. So, this is my 10-wear review. This is my second pair of Beckett-Simonon. I purchased the “Dean” Oxford a few years back, so I am familiar with the process, as well as, the product and the Bolton is on par with what I anticipated.

The shoes are very comfortable right out of the box. After two wears, I considered them “broken in. ” I usually wear a 9, but I went with an 8. 5 and I’m glad I did. To me, B-S runs a bit large, especially in the toe box.

Additionally, the lack of a lacing system on the Chelseas prevents you from being able to make minor adjustments. If your foot is a bit wide, you should be OK with these shoes. On a style like a Chelsea boot, the shape of the last has to make up for the lack of detailing and broguing.

The last has some shape, but I wish they were slightly more curved and angular. I went with “Bordeaux” and the color is outstanding! It’s very deep and rich throughout the entirety of the boot. Bordeaux is also an excellent choice of name for this colorway because it’s not as red as an oxblood and it has tones of plum, cherry, and chocolate.

Depending on the light you are in, these boots will look very different. The shoes really “pop” when I’m outside in daylight. I’ve been using “Saphir Hermes Red” to polish and it has really brought out some of the highlights.

The leather is a good quality, not exceptional. I would not rate it as high as an “Allen Edmonds”, but certainly much better than a “Thursday” or other competitor at that level. There is a bit of harsher creasing where the soft leather of the vamp meets the stiffener of the toe box.

I guess that’s to be expected. That being said, I’ve had shoes from an Italian D-T-C company at the $300 price point crease much worse. I’ve applied three coats of polish so far and the shoes look amaze afterwards.

The leather accepts and responds to polish very nicely! The boot already is developing a unique look through the mild wear marks and the burnishing that is already developing in some spots. Anyone who knows footwear will tell you that a quality shoe, if properly cared for, should look better the more it ages and this certainly looks like it will be the case with this boot.

Are these the greatest shoes ever made? No. Are these an incredible value for the price? Yes! Anyone who knows quality shoes is not going to confuse these with an Allen Edmonds or a Carmina. But how many of those people do you encounter on a day-today basis? These are a great rendition of a classic style made with quality materials, expert craftsmanship, and are comfortable too! At this price point, this is the best shoe you can buy!.

Comfortable right out of the box, these hand-crafted Laval chukkas are almost surely the finest pair of shoes/boots I’ve ever owned. but not, by any means, the most expensive. The materials, design and workmanship are sheer perfection; and the service of Beckett Simonon —in my case, Luis—was the best.

These chukkas can go easily from casual to dress, and everyone who sees them has a question or compliment. I love them and expect them (with re-soling if I’m lucky!) to last me the rest of my life. My only suggestions would be a trifle larger eyelets for thicker laces, and a sole with some sort of tread.

But these are great shoes. Order yours today!.

I’m a regular B&S customer, because their style and value suits me. The Laval’s are my 5th pair of B&S dress shoes/boots, so this review will compare them to other B&S offerings. The pullup leather is softer than Beckett and Simonon’s regular leather, so it takes less break-in.

It’s also dyed all the way through, so scratches don’t show as much. Their regular leather has a fairly thin color layer and is sometimes nearly white under the color layer. This stuff is just gorgeous, too.

The boot is also perfectly made, with a wonderful lining, too. If they would just use a lightweight sole with some tread, this boot would be perfect. As it is, it’s a bit heavy and clunky and the rubber sole is pretty smooth.

Almost zero texture to it. Not a boot you want in the snow and ice, although it is an upgrade over the plain leather soles on most B&S products. Like with my Columbus boots (named changed by PC police to Oscar) It’ll help keep the shoe dry.

My Columbus/Oscar boots are a size 10, and I wish they were a 10. 5. As for size, I recommend a half size up if you are on the fence at all. I range from a 9. 5 to a 10. 5, depending on the brand and type of shoe.

As with all B&S dress shoes/boots, these have a slightly narrow toe box. If that’s a problem for you, go up a half size. The 10. 5s don’t squeeze my pinky toe like the B&S size 10s can do. The extra room also allows me to use the included thin extra insoles for extra padding, which I appreciate.

B&S’s standard insoles are not very cushy. The lack of a lighter, more weather resistant sole and better cushioning is why I can’t give this boot 5 stars. Offsetting this and earning it 4 stars is the wonderful quality leather, great construction and high value.

Some people will say that it is what it is (a dress boot), and it shouldn’t be expected to have a better sole. I say that if you are going to put a rubber sole on it, then put a good one on it. Charge me extra for it, I’ll pay.

Hmmm, why aren’t there more options for soles on all semi-custom shoes like these?.

I ordered this pair of shoes not entirely sure of what the end product would be since I have never used this service before. However, the personal touch of being brought through the entire shoe production process was wonderful and made me feel connected with the team making my shoes.

I loved that I got to see them as people rather than just being a typical consumer not thinking about where products come from. Unfortunately, I had worn them around to test out the fit and when I found them a bit big I was not able to send them back due to them being scuffed.

Definitely understand this policy, but think this should be advertised more clearly, especially since the shoes are made to order. Overall, great experience and would recommend to a friend.

I bought the Elliot boots in bourdeaux, size 12. During the long wait, at times I grew nervous about how well the distinct style of a balmoral boot would work for me. It’s certainly a bold look. When they arrived last week, my concerns were quickly allayed.

Their elegant look makes them a lot of fun to wear. I’ve come to expect a very high standard of quality for Beckett Simonon footweat (this is my third pair), and these did not disappoint. They seem to fit a bit roomier than my size 12 BS shoes.

I’m not sure they’re longer, but the instep is bigger and they may be a tad wider. This sizing bothered me a little bit until I added the extra insoles that BS included with the order, and they improved the fit considerably.

Now, I have no complaints at all. I’m just eager to watch these guys break in and patina.

I was looking for an inexpensive way to get into balmoral boots, and so I bought a pair of these. Not only did they arrive months ahead of schedule, but the leather is beautiful and the construction is sturdy.

The fit is also incredible. While “standard width” shoes and boots usually fit too wide on my feet, the Elliot Balmorals are slim and snug and hug the arches just enough, but without feeling tight. So if you’re looking for boots that fit like dress shoes, these are for you.

Also I have a bad knee, so shoes that absorb shock are important to me. Luckily the rubber heel and soles do a decent amount of shock absorption, so I feel great after wearing them. Granted, I don’t wear them all day, so I’ll have to update my review if I get around to that.

My only gripe is that the laces easily come undone, but that’s something I’m willing to deal with. Anyway, they’re great. I was planning on getting my next pair of balmorals from another company, but I’m so happy with these that my next pair will probably come from Beckett Simonon.

So thoroughly happy with the boots you delivered to me. I was concerned about the fit as I typically have trouble getting a proper fit and since I never had a chance to try them in before purchasing I was doubly concerned.

When I slipped on the first boot, the right one as typically that’s the tougher one to fit I was beyond delighted at the way it fit !! Custom fitted boots at the fraction of the cost !! Fabulous product ! I would recommend them to anyone wanting a handcrafted well constructed boot !! Thank you !! I look forward to wearing them for many years to come !!.

These are really stunning, unique boots that are excellent to wear either with a suit or casually with a nice pair of jeans. They have the elegance, style, and finish of a dress shoe while affording the comfort and support of a chukka boot.

The construction, fit, and leather quality are remarkable. I was admittedly skeptical at first of the very complicated European straight lacing technique with which these came, though I will admit that the visual effect on the front is very clean and neat.

I appreciate also that these are supposedly resole-able – I just hope I am able to find a local shoe repair shop that is capable of doing Blake stitch soles. The only reason for which I am really giving four stars instead of five stars is the nylon pull tab on the back of the boot, which cheapens the feel of the whole shoe.

I wish it was leather or natural fiber or better yet removed altogether, as it also tends to annoyingly cause the hem of suit pants to become bunched up in the back.

I got these boots in Tan, and they look absolutely gorgeous in person. I wear an 8. 5 in all my other shoes including Nike & Adidas and these fit me TTS despite having a foot width between D and E. As with any new leather shoe, I moisturized it immediately with some Saphir creme universelle and it all came out so beautifully.

The leather is luxurious and supple, the vachetta lining is soft and premium. and the creasing around the camp is rather minimal, and it can be kept so with proper sized shoe trees. The tan looks beautiful in the sun with some navy chinos and fits so comfortably.

I’ve worn these a handful of times (5-7) and they pretty much broke in within the first day. The heel cups my foot snugly while wearing dress socks (I don’t like thicker socks) and this style can really be worn dressed up or down quite easily.

I have several Beckett Simionon shoes in my closet now and I have yet to be disappointed. This boot is easily one of my favs for when it has recently rained and the ground can be wet at some parts due to the rubber sole construction, and I don’t want to wear my leather soled Beckett boots out.

I love it. If I could give more stars, I would!.

They seem to be extremely well made, and look very stylish and understated. I think they are priced fair and worth the money. I wear a US size 13 or 14 depending on the brand, and 14 with Oliver Cabell is perfect (I wear a 14 in adidas for reference).

The left shoe seems to have an irregularity where the tongue meets the toe box. There’s a piece of excess leather that dug into and blistered my foot badly within an hour of wearing them. So far the remedy is wearing 2 band aids on my foot, and I’m hoping the excess leather softens over time.

They are also moderately noisy and squeaky. You won’t be sneaking up on anyone wearing these. They seem like they are going to take a few weeks to break in.

I really like the quality of the shoes. I regularly order MTO boots and the quality construction and materials are obvious in your product. These sneakers are much closer to the quality of MTO footware than almost any other sneaker brand I’ve owned.

Well done. My only (very minor) complaint would be the shoe laces. You make such a wonderful product, you should try to match the shoe lace to the individual model, as opposed to having the same shoe lace for every shoe.

It only took me a couple minutes to locate laces that matched the heel tag on the Military pair and I think it really compliments the overall aesthetic!.

Seeing is believing. The shoes arrived with expediency and in perfect condition. From packaging and presentation to the first try-on, everything is an experience of the highest caliber – on par with the best manufacturers.

The shoes are clearly well constructed and have gone through the best QC standards. They are flawless. The fit is true to size. They do however run a bit narrow so keep that in mind if you have a wider or flat foot.

My preferred work shoe as of now during the summer and for going out, this I need a few more pairs!.
