20 Best Shoes For Ice Grip (2023 Updated)

I needed some wellies as where I walk my dogs can be quite wet. I bought the Fitflop one’s as I find their shoes and boots very comfy. They arrived and I was quite disappointed with them. They weren’t comfy and after only a couple of months wear they split and let in water.

I returned them for a refund and didn’t want to waste my money on the same again so I researched other possibilities. I came across the Muck Boots and can safely say they are now my favourite boots. They are really comfortable and you cannot feel stones and other lumps through the sole.

There is lots of room for my wide feet and they are warm and snug even in minus temperatures. They feel very sturdy and remind me a bit of rigger boots. They are great boots for dog walking and I would definitely but another pair.

If you need some great boots then don’t hesitate to buy these.

The durability of these boots is unbelievable. I wear a shoe size of 71/2 so I sized down to a 7 as recommended. They fit perfect with room for a thicker sock if I need it. They are insulated nicely , so I will have to see what will work best when winter arrives.

The downfall, for me is that they are heavy. That is a small price to pay for warmth and quality in bad weather. They have a loop in the back to slip on standing. I’m 5’3 and they reach within 3 inches of my knee cap.

I do recess duty at school so it will help with the wind for a shorter jacket. The checkered pattern is classy, but I wanted the pink accent style but they were sold out. Still happy with the pair that I bought.

The traction is hard core and I won’t trip for being 50 and easily swayed by drifts and obstacles. Don’t know about running through drifts but they won’t fall off if I need to run from something HA HA! I’m so glad I bought these and won’t hesitate to walk through mud, slush, hard snow, or ice spots.

I could go on and on and will purchase a shorter pair when I can.

I don’t know what the cold rating is for these but they’re serious boots for serious cold. I have HORRIBLE circulation in my feet and I’ve always struggled with cold toes. This is my second Canadian winter with these and so far the toes are excellent.

Full disclosure: the factory insoles are “meh” so I removed them and inserted thick shearling insoles, and I always use substantial wool socks (usually a heavyweight Darn Tough over-the-calf). Make no mistake — these are substantial boots for seriously cold temps.

Strolling around the mall is not what these were made for. I wear mine walking the dog on the wooded trails behind our house. My size 13s weigh just a hair less than 3 lbs per boot and they’re 17” tall; they fall about 3” below my kneecap.

I bought my first pair (the black ones) before Christmas last year. We live in central Alabama but I took them with us to Gatlinburg, Tennessee on Christmas Day. I’m so glad I did because it was a winter wonderland up there & I wore these EVERY WHERE! My feet stayed dry & warm & at the end of the day, my feet wasn’t sore at all.

The sidewalks in Gatlinburg were completely iced over and although I slid a little bit, it wasn’t near as bad as others were sliding. Everyone kept asking me where I got them from and told me how much they loved them.

And I loved them so much that as soon as we got back home, I ordered a 2nd pair in the color brown. Another great thing is, I wore these a lot last winter and they still look brand new. Definitely well made.

I bought these boots based on the reviews. I had to get a wide width because Columbia makes thin width boots. I live in Maine. These boots keep my feet warm and dry in slush and snow. I’ve walked in 2 feet of snow and was fine except for it coming into my calf because I wore leggings.

These boots have nothing on Sorel Tivoli II and Sorel Tofinos. Both of those models make me feet cold. I will say that you must wear a good pair of Darn Tough socks or a good pair for winter. I wore them with thin summer socks and I felt the cold come through.

I hiked 3 miles in snow and they stood up with no leaks although these aren’t hiking boots.

Prepping for a trip to Iceland in the next month. Ive tried several boots, meaning a lot!! I kept navigating towards Columbia from online searches and when I found the wide option I figured lets give it a try.

Very comfortable with room for the layered socks. Did some water tests and seems to hold up. I’ve lived in the mountains with plenty of snow and feel these will work. Feet tend to run wide as its hereditary and I’ve worked from home for 6 years, barefoot or sandals daily.

Workout shoes only during workout. Sandals in the snow too, Cali girl. The boots are comfortable and feel they’re sturdy enough to hold up during my trip and future adventures.

Fantastic winter shoe w/studs. Comfortable, warm on the 0°f days while walking. I’ve run in these, but mostly using for walking. I have these just for the icy and packed snow days ( or about 5 months of the year here).

Weather here has been exactly that lately, and these are the absolute best I’ve ever worn for long walks in these conditions. I’ve tried so many winter shoes in my 58 years, and nothing has even come close.

These boots run a little large. I’m usually a 7. 5/8 and the 7. 5 is a just a bit bigger than I’d like. The grip on these boots is fantastic. Walk every morning through ice and snow and feel safe always.

Even great on a driveway “ice lake” of refreeze. They are comfortable and stay dry on the inside. I do wish that they were just a little bit higher and that the laces (or lace eyelets) were different.

They can be very difficult to get tightly tied.

I purchased these hiking boots within weeks of purchasing the Metro2, and I’m thrilled with both. They have been a complete game-changer in managing the New England’s icy winters; it’s astonishing how well they work, even on sheets of ice.

My only very slight disappointment with these boots is how easily the laces come undone. I suspect round laces like these are more prone to that than flat laces would be. Note: They do run true to size.

I’m somewhat of a Ron Swanson of endorsements. I rarely write positive reviews; something has to realllly change my life for the better in order for me to make the effort. So here we go. I’ve been coming to terms with my own mortality and have realized that as I’m puttering around the house it really would benefit my knees to have something a bit more substantial on my tootsies, and so I searched high and low to eventually decide upon and purchase the Merrell Encore Ice.

These mocs are what my feet have been dreaming of. How do I know? They told me. I purchased these almost exactly one year ago and I have LIVED in these shoes (slippers? no, they’re beefier and way more supportive than that).

Yes, I even wear them in summatime because A/C is magical and my feet run cold anyway. They’ve almost become a security blanket of sorts for me. If I don’t put them on first thing in the morning then it throws off my vibe.

They age well, are supportive, comfy, and sort of make me feel like my parents, which isn’t a bad thing because apparently, they know what’s up. Oh, I also recently wore these camping and they are the BEST camp shoe.

I’ll probably get another pair just for that. P. S. The new Stank will go away after a bit. Also, wear some thin socks or something with these bad boys. Otherwise, you aren’t going to be happy when little insoles keep slipping out every time you try to remove your sweat-soaked foot (they warm).

I’ve worn Encore Breeze for years, first the Q2 because of the “made for women” to help prevent knee and foot problems, then the Encore Breeze 3. Unfortunately, the Encore Breeze 4 does not have the cushioning, support, substantial soles, or arch support that these previous models did.

In fact, my Breeze 3’s which are tattered and the sole is coming off still have more support than my new Breeze 4’s. On the Merrell website when looking at their section of shoes to wear around town vs close to home, the Breeze are in the “close to home” section.

$100. 00 is a lot to pay for a house shoe. Disappointed. I hope the next model will go back to the better support, stability, hthicker cushioned sole, and arch support the previous models have. I have a fairly narrow foot and the M width fits very well; many other brands of shoes are extremely wide in a M width.

Merrell’s fit perfectly! I will try an orthotic insole or perhaps Spenco insoles to try to increase the components of the shoe. I also have Plantar Fasciitis and this shoe isn’t good for that as is.

These shoes, mostly the left shoe has been my constant companion since I broke my right leg. I wore the shoes to the doctor’s office to get x-rays, and for the week I was waiting for surgery I wore the left shoe because I had a cast on my right foot.

I kept wearing the left shoe, because my doctor didn’t want me to go barefoot or to just wear a sock on my good foot. I didn’t want to slip and my Encore Nova 4 kept me sure footed while I hopped around on the left foot for 4-6 weeks while the surgery was healing.

Then when I could finally put weight on the right foot I had to wear the boot/cast. I was so relieved to start walking in shoes again and my Encore Nova 4 wide width was the perfect shoe with good support for me to wear.

They are classic shoes that can be casual or semi-dressy. I love my Encore Nova 4 wide width so much I needed a new pair since that was literally the only shoes I wore for six months. I also took them on vacation where I did a ton of walking in North & South Carolina and in Georgia.

These shoes are my faves.

I wore Merrells for at least 15 years as my day-in, day-out work shoe for the 5 miles I put on my feet every day. Usually I wore Jungle Mocs, but I also wore a work shoe with a composite toe that’s no longer made.

Sometime around 2015, new Merrells were no longer comfortable for my fussy feet. The basic foot shape shifted to an elongated oval that is too narrow for my wedge-shape foot. Every foot bed feels hard.

I’m sorry to say that while the wide size 8 ½ Encore Nova 4 fit both my feet, the footbed isn’t comfortable. I apply a simple test: put on clean socks and wear them inside the house for about 30 minutes.

I know the shoe is a bust when I can’t wait to take them off and put on my slippers. So I’m done with Merrells. They had a good run, but it’s over for me.

So I got these this last week, and let’s just say that they’re “fine”. I mean, Vans makes “fine” shoes that you could run in too in a pinch. They look really good, and the outsole is grippy and good in the wet.

And kudos for bringing the weight down through the upper revision, but it would also seem that they did this by narrowing the toe a bit too. I don’t know if Saucony is trying to take up the mantle that Asics surrendered as the shoes that only fit people with narrow feet, but it sure seems like it sometimes.

And that would be fine, I mean, they make a wide, but this shoes isn’t good enough for me to go out of my way to get a wide in some boring color. And that’s the thing, this thing is firm and still quite stiff despite reports that the rock plate is more flexible.

Pick one up and flex it, to get that rock plate to flex with your hands takes some thought, but it folds real nice in the middle of the shoe. And here’s the other thing, again, what the heck is the point of this shoe? Is it for off trail scrambling or vertical K’s as the outsole and rockplate might suggest? Well, if it is it should either be built up with more protection for the off trail goodness, or shaved down in weight for those veritical K’s.

I’m sure folks are gonna do 50ks in these, maybe longer, but the average person isn’t gonna find this shoe real cushiony or real responsive (unless you think responsive shoes are what they were 10 years ago).

It just kind of is. I would drop the rock plate, add a little more midsole, round out that toe box just a bit and you would have a decent shoe with a 4 mm drop that is fairly light. Heck, don’t even add midsole, the lack of rockplate would significantly soften the ride.

Oh, and the heel is too high, rubs on my achilles because for some goofy reason it is stiff as heck. I guess that’s the trend in running shoes, stiff, vertifcal heels. but of course it’s not. I sometimes wonder who the heck gets paid for the design of some of these companies shoes.

I mean, sure, these things will sell, but will they sell what they could if they actually kept up with the industry trends. I would argue not. So if you like old Peregrines, maybe you’ll like this one, but that heel and toe might be just too much for you.

Unless you’re coming from running in old Salomon’s just about everything else out there in trail runnning is gonna probably appeal to you more than these will. And for the record, I’m returning these because they are too uncomfortable for a barely average performance.

Bought these end of season last year to set aside for this winter. Now that I’ve had a chance to try them out, highly recommend them. A great alternative to a winter boot when the snow is minimal for day-to-day use.

The pair I have is all black, without a colored stripe, so they work well for wearing to work, as my office isn’t that focused that what I have to wear footwear wise has to be a dress shoe, just has to look professional.

I’m personally from NYC, but have a home in Montreal where I’ve been wearing them mostly so far, so I’ve had plenty of opportunity to use them on the ice. If I were wearing my normal Nike’s, well, I wouldn’t be wearing them, as I’d be slipping and sliding on the ice instead.

Product improvements that would be nice would be if they were waterproof (they’re not, nor do I believe they claim to be), and it’d be nice if they had insulation to orient them toward winter use. My hands get colder with gloves than my toes in these, so not much of an issue for many people, but they’re not suitable for standing around casually outside in sub-freezing temperatures.

Then again, I was wearing them at 3 degrees Fahrenheit and wasn’t that cold. If they partnered with Columbia to line their shoes that’d be awesome, or I suppose wool socks can work too. I don’t believe anyone else makes a sneaker with the Vibram Arctic Ice sole, and that’s the secret sauce for these that makes owning a pair for winter wear where there’s ice on the ground, well worth this purchase.

Trying to get my wife to get a pair, but she doesn’t seem to mind falling on the ice! Me on the other hand, I don’t have time to fall and recover, so I’m really happy I bought these! I do however recommend a half size larger, as they run slightly small in my opinion.

I’m normally a 10. 5 bought a 10. 5, they fit, but my toes rub, so an 11 would likely have been better.

I’ve always run in Peregrines since I’ve been trail running and have owned the 7s, 10s and now the 12. I have the Campfire colorway and I love the ridiculous shade of orange these are (trail shoes SHOULD have amazing colors) These shoes fit my foot like a glove, provide excellent traction and with the rock plate have solid protection for rough terrain.

They also drain incredibly well. All that being said, would it hurt Saucony to not make the heel cup so dang stiff or to add some cushion inside it? Ever since the 10s the heels on this style have been rigid to a fault.

Without the flexibility on uphill climbs as I push up and the shoe pulls down a touch in the back, it puts pressure against the back of my heel resulting in blisters and bruising. My feet are a little on the narrow side which is why I prefer the Peregrines.

It seems for the 12s they stripped the shoe too much in favor of less weight. If they’re going to make the heel cup/back rigid they need to provide a buffer around that area. The 7s were a great example of just enough cushion in the heel without being a hinderance (also the material inside the shoe could do with some durability upgrades).

I would only recommend Peregrines for technical trails and nothing over the 50ks distance as the padding isn’t sufficient for much over 30+. The 12s will require a bit of a break in period as usual, but it’s rough so far.

Here’s hoping Saucony gives the heel area a little more comfort with the next version (and a slightly bigger toebox).

Bought a pair for my Special needs daughter. It’s been a trial trying to find her winter boots that not only are easy for her to put on, that actually fit, and that she’s comfortable with. The other pair that we’d gotten her, although cuter even after I’d modified them so she could put them on, are rarely worn since she’s gotten these.

She can’t zip them all the way up because her feet are just too fat and I’ve cautioned her about breaking the zipper. And I’m not sure why she doesn’t activate the ice grips on the bottom because that was one of the main reasons I choose these.

She hates walking on any slippery surface.

I was surprised to see these on my dad when I wasn’t planning on taking him out. The staff that helps my dad said she wishes everyone had these! My dad has a toe that crosses another and these are breeze easy to put on.

I wish the company made them in all sorts of styles- winter/summer with the ease of the zippers to put on for the assisted living and nursing homes.

The boots are lovely but are too small in size. I purchased a size 9 W but I really should have ordered a size larger since these boots did not come in 1/2 sizes. I would have returned them but with the shipping price for returning, it wasn’t worth it.

So, I donated them to Vietnam Vets. I am sure someone will be able to wear these.

Size: Fit exactly how I expected. If you’re using for hunting or ice fishing and expect to be wearing bulky socks, buy a half size up to account for it. The material within the boot actually morphs to your foot after the first use or two, so don’t be alarmed if it feels awkward out of the box.

You will be exceptionally pleased with their performance after the boot adjusts to you. Warmth: I hunt northeast (NH, VT, MA) and it is COLD. These boots held up. Crossing through ice cold running streams and creeks did not reduce the warmth of the boot.

Waterproofing: Ironclad. Simply put, it won’t leak. Comfortability: the boot is tapered to the shape of a person’s calf, and the boot entry has enough space to account for your pants or other gear descending into it.

Very easy on/off, which was a real pain point with my previous boots. Additional thoughts: There isn’t much to nitpick here- if there is one thing I could mention, it would be. wait, can’t think of anything.

Just wanted to take the time to express my total satisfaction with my recent Muck Boot purchase – Mens Artic Ice – tall, adjustable calf. BEST danged winter boot I ever wore! I have been dedicated to the traditional rubber bottomed/leather lace-up uppers from Schnee and Kenetrek (and yes Whites too) for the last 35+ years doing timber for the US Forest Service and I am now fully committed to using only Muck Boots for all of my winter logging and late season hunting here is tough assed mountains of the Wyoming Range! Cannot beat em for keeping my feet warm all day long, plus with the wide adjustable calf I can stuff my insulated pants and long-handles down into this boot, cinch up that adjustable strap on the calf and now no need for putting on gaiters.

Great job guys with a superior product and fantastic customer service. If ya need a waterproof boot, Muck is THE only choice!.

Took a number of months to receive my boots. But they are by far the warmest boots I’ve ever owned. I use electric socks. And have found I don’t need to use them as often with this boot. I bought these for the non-slip soles, as well as the warmth.

As I’m disabled. The soles are great. Will never by a winter boot without the non-slip soles. Spikes on and off boots are a pain to use. You still have to be careful. Fantastic boot in my opinion.

First off this shoe would be perfect if they would just ditch the exterior rubber around the toe. I own many pair of Merrell. This model with the rubber toe I will not purchase again unless they ditch the rubber and do leather to the sole.

The rubber on my pair fell apart rather quickly. Then as I did a shoe repair I learned the leather under the rubber did not go all the way to the sole. Leather attached to the rubber then the rubber attaches to the sole.

Everything else about the shoe was great. I would buy 2 pairs right now if they ditched the rubber and made the shoe all leather upper to the sole even around the toe.

80 year olds don’t have the agility a balance they had in younger years. After a rotater cuff rebuild and a hip replacement as the results of two falls on slippery (icy, muddy) ground on our ranch I started looking for a better boot to work with our horses.

After months of research talking to friends and canvasing the internet I came across an article about a new boot sole by the manufacture Vibram. This new sole was supposed to be superior in icy/wet conditions.

Just what I was looking for; however, I couldn’t find a high top boot with the new sole. The only foot wear that had the new sole was Merrell’s ColdPack Ice+ Moc Waterproof. I was very reluctant to purchase them because they were low tops.

I figured that in the winter I would have ice and snow inside my shoes and the sticky mud would suck the Mocs right off my feet in the spring and fall months. Wow, was I ever wrong. That first pair of Mocs did everything I wanted the high tops to do.

They keep my feet warm and dry in the wettest/coldest conditions. Most importantly in the past four years that I have had these Mocs I have never once taken a fall. I now have three pairs of these shoes, the originals, a pair I bought a couple of years ago for going to town and new pair to replace the originals.

Thanks Merrell for a product that will probably keep me active into my 90’s.

I live in WIsconsin and last year slipped on the ice and dislocated my shoulder. For this winter I was determined to find a better way to negotiate Ice and snow. I had tried strap on spikes but they are a pain to keep on and take off.

My research led me to discovering Icebug brand boots. The reviews seemed to be too good to be true. The boots were also pricey. I decided I’d order a pair of Metro2’s. The order process was smooth and the boots arrived on time.

I ordered my regular size and they fit perfectly. I have had several opportunities to use the boots this winter and I am impressed with the performance. The boots perform well outside and I am comfortable wearing them into a store.

Despite the spikes, the boots perform well on hard indoor surface including my garage floor. You won’t be able to sneak up on anybody as the are quite load on hard surfaces but the traction is good. I am told that the metal spikes last several years and that the company will replace them should it be needed.

These boots are great and I highly recommend them!.

I wore my new boots for the first time yesterday on hard snowy trails in the local park. Loved the traction and how my legs felt relaxed like I was walking on a summer trail! I had to walk to the park on clear sidewalks and was worried that the cleats would be slippery on a hard surface.

The boots did not slip at all! The cleats make a bit of sound on the pavement but it was easy to talk and hear in spite of the crunch. I’m trying to talk my husband to getting a pair! My left foot is a bit larger than my right one.

So I ordered the boots to fit the larger foot exactly. But the boots were too small so I ordered a one size larger pair. They fit perfectly with a wool sock. The delivery was amazingly fast. And it was easy to return the small pair.

They made it back to Sweden in less than a week! And the best of all, the manufacturing process is environmentally friendly! Considering everything this is a fabulous investment in great outdoor wear and in the environment!.

If the shoes had fit well, I suspect I would have liked them a lot. The grip on the sole felt great, they’re easy to get on and off, pretty color and the style is cute (by winter footwear standards!) They look durable and waterproof.

However, in ordering what they call a 10. 5 shoe, I got a fit that was not only a touch too long (surprising for how 10. 5 shoes typically fit me) but also MASSIVELY wide around the heel and throughout the foot everywhere except across the ball of the foot, where the fit was snug.

In other words, the boot’s last fit like a giant rectangle, whereas my foot, anyway, is a more triangular shape apparently. It was so big around heel and foot generally that I knew even thick socks couldn’t save me, so back they went.

I commute a mile on foot to work in Minnesota, so I need a great fit in a walking snow boot. Maybe I should have then tried a 10, but the width issues were significant enough for me that I’m guessing the overall cut of their lasts just won’t work for my foot.

Training for the Boston Marathon in the snow and ice of a Wisconsin winter, these shoes were game-changing. Before I got these shoes, I was using YakTrax over my regular running shoes which meant stopping to put them on/take them off when the ice/snow cover changed on my route, heavier shoes, and lower ability for my foot to feel and adjust to the bumpy terrain of ice covered trails.

The Icebugs are much lighter than adding the extra spikes and because they are built right into the shoe, my foot can better feel the ground beneath me, helping me to keep my ankles stable – it also frees up my mind! If I could change one thing about these shoes, it would be to have a little more cushioning.

After a longer run, the soles of my feet feel pretty sore, but it is worth it to have the peace of mind knowing I can run right through icy patches without worrying about a fall.

Theses are Outstanding for running on snow ice. I run outdoors all winter and the detachable spikes are a pain. Waterproof uppers are great-Love them. I should have sized up a half size. I’m a 7. 5 shoe and an 8.

0 running sneaker. I needed the 8. 5 or 39. 5 here for the extra toe box space. (Which I couldn’t have imagined because I have never worn an 8. 5) My daughter suggested comparing the UK size on your favorite shoe – apparently my new balance are a half uk size bigger even though they are 8.

0 US. I kept them and ended up with a banged up toe after 4. 5 miles. They will still be good for short winter runs and walking outside.

OK, I did it. I saved up (I’m retired) and bought this second pair. My first pair are boots. I know it’s strong language, but these products have changed my life. We have long, dark winters here in Minnesota, and getting outside to walk safely is important to both physical and mental health.

I live on a lake, and being able to be outside with my kids and grandkids when they come for Christmas is priceless! The boots I purchased ran true to size; in these shoes, I needed to exchange them and go up a half size.

Great traction, good water protection, not very warm. Not sure how others found them warm, but my toes got cold. I bought a half size larger than usual to wear with thick socks, too. The description talks a lot about insulation, but doesn’t live up to it.

I discovered later a selection guide and these aren’t in the warmest category, but that isn’t mentioned in the description. There are too many choices I wanted good grip, waterproof, and warm. I got two of three and I don’t see a choice with all three despite the number of options.

I don’t know if the grip will last, but the tread appears rugged unlike some more plain soles that can be very slippery.

I bought these boots for a trip to the Arctic region of Norway. I planned to wear them with a pair of Bean ragg wool socks, but, for some reason the boots were too tight. I had to wear them with a pair of lightweight wool dress socks instead.

No problem. During three two hour outdoor sessions above the Arctic Circle to photograph the Northern Lights, the temperatures ranged from about plus 12 deg F to minus 5 deg F. The farthest north we were was at Alta, Norway.

My feet remained reasonably warm throughout. The boots provided excellent traction in packed snow and were not out of place in the towns. Highly recommended.

The last winter boots I bought my husband were big, heavy, pull-on, Storm Chaser boots I think 🙂 They finally tore apart, after many years, not too much wear and tear, but they never fit properly, and we tried two sizes.

These boots are perfect. We did try two sizes, the 8 won over the 8. 5, medium weight socks, but sometimes it goes the other way. The fit is comfortable, and they have proven to be warm enough for my husband though we didn’t have much time for testing since we got them at the end of the season.

Don’t know about waterproof, but they are leather, so I’m curious. And they are very handsome. I put them on coz I would like a pair for myself but I need them to be super warm. I will try them for myself next year.

I like them because the “Rubber outsole is aggressively lugged and grooved for superior traction on wet surfaces”. I hate the heal on the Bean Boots.

I walk a lot all year round and got tired of (and sore) from slipping on ice during the winter so I was excited to try the Arctic Grip. We’re not a month into the season so the grip hasn’t really been tested but there are other problems.

The height of the boot for one. I should have known better than to get a low boot but I was blinded by the idea of not slipping. Our first snowfall was 16 inches. Needless to say my ankles got wet the first dog walk.

Then the temperatures dipped to -20. Despite my merino wool socks these boots did little to keep my feet warm. Today I ordered another pair of winter boots I know will keep my feet (and ankles) warm and dry.

I’ll keep these for when the freeze/melt starts here in southern Alberta in the hopes that the famous Arctic Grip keep me upright.

Have had these for about a week and been wearing them to walk the dog. They seem good on snow and ice, unfortunately we’ve had record cold temperatures (-40 C) and even with double wool sock my toes did get cold.

Perhaps just a little too cold? I did find the heel was wide fitting and after snugging up the laces it was fine. I would recommend them, they seem to fit my needs.

I’m so impressed with these boots that’s these are my second pair. I walk with my dogs every day, & have done for nearly 40 years, & these are the first pair of truly waterproof boots that I’ve ever owned….

& they’re incredibly comfortable. What’s not to love?!!.

I’m really happy with these boots. I have struggled to find a comfortable pair, previous pairs, too tight across the toes, too at the back. These are perfect. Absolutely waterproof and comfortable on first wear.

I am usually a 4 – 4. 5 but the 5 fits perfectly. 4 was too small.

I bought these boots in December and after 2 months I can say that I love, love, love them! I was a fan of Merrell boots from before and now these shorter boots seal the deal. It’s just perfect for those days that I don’t want to wear my tall boots and the snow or ice is too much for my regular shoes.

You don’t even have to worry about icy conditions with the grips on these. The furry material inside keeps my feet so warm too. I love these boots so much that I just bought another pair of them for my mom too!.

Although this style wasn’t my first choice, it was the only one in my size late in the season. I did order one half-size up based on reviews and was grateful — your sock plan makes a difference. I also appreciated that the site identifies styles that are wider/narrower.

This style has a nice roomy toe box — so if you are a Birkenstock wearer or have a wider front of your foot, make sure you look for those styles. As for the grip — I finally opted to buy after realizing I wasn’t walking regularly due to the ice.

They work! Was very pleased at being able to walk normally and feel the grip on sheer ice. I’m not foolish enough to think I couldn’t still fall, but I was amazed at how well they did bite in and provide traction.

I also liked the lacing system — easy!.

LOVE these lightweight, studded hikers. The BOA fit is genius, so easy to get in and out the boots. I use them daily all winter for walk and hiking, and dealing with icy parking lots. Just bought he over shoes so I can wear them indoors to the grocery store, but not skid around on the parking lot in my mountain town.

Sturdy construction but very light weight. I added my custom insole to support my high arches. Perfect fit with a medium weight hiking sock. Highly recommend! Just bought an non studded low cut shoe with the BOA fit from Icebug for muddy wet conditions in the spring.

I’d buy this boot in non studded for hiking if they made it.

This is the best investment I’ve made in awhile! I live on the coast of Maine and have a very active two year old pup. In recent years, we get mostly rain or mix in the winter and when we do get snow, it’s not around for long.

What we do have is lots and lots of ICE!! From the very first step I took in my Icebugs, I knew this was the real deal. I now walk with confidence in icy conditions and can still walk my dog no matter what the conditions.

While I did not care for the appearance of many models offered, I really like these. Thank you, Icebug! Highly recommend.

I want to give these slippers a 5/5 because of the way they check every box in what I was looking for. I live in the PNW, so it’s hard to find a durable slipper that you can keep on between lounging inside and going outside to get the mail/take the dog out/etc.

But these are perfect for all of the above. Truly waterproof, comfy to walk in or just have as slippers, and stylish enough to wear to the store, they really are the ideal slipper. They do not have much of any type of support being that the sole is well-cushioned and, well , it’s a slipper- but expecting these qualities ahead of time it would be unreasonable for me to suggest that the lack of support is a fault of the slipper, rather than appreciate that it is the style of footwear I’ve chosen.

I will say though, I tend to be most comfortable in low-cut shoes that offer minimal ankle support, so for me these are perfect to wear to the store or even a brief walk around the neighborhood with my dog (a meathead German Shepherd who lunges at every squirrel).

They may get a little warm and not super well ventilated at times but again, they are slippers, not distance running shoes. There are only two things that I can really say I wish was different. First, I wish the bottoms had better traction.

If the surface I’m walking on has traction itself (like pavement) then it’s not an issue, but on a wet kitchen floor you best be ready to dance. The second item would be the durability of the Thermoball material.

This is tough to knock because it’s that material that makes these so stylish and warm, and all things considered they do hold up very well (I mean come on, it’s basically sleeping bag material on your feet, and your feet see a lot of action).

But I had to replace my first pair because they would snag on twigs and rip, this also eliminating the waterproof factor. It’s important to mention though that I’m probably an extreme example of calling the durability into question, because I’ve been working from home since the beginning of the pandemic and I quite literally always have these on my feet if I’m not doing something that requires otherwise (like shower, treadmill, sleeping).

So to me, the fact that they last so well for half a year of daily hard use (all day in the office, taking dog out, errands, you name it) and are functional in all aspects is pretty impressive. Enough so that I plan on buying a third pair, and when I bought this second pair I also bought a pair for my wife- which is also important to mention because she babies hers (she likes them too much, wears them selectively) and in the same amount of time hers basically look brand new.

Amazingly warm. I bought them for 3 purposes but found them only feasible in 2. I wanted shoes to wear between climbs when out bouldering in the colder months. These are perfect for that purpose. I wanted camp shoes to wear during winter camping.

Theses are great for that as well. Lastly, I bought them to wear from the car to the ski slopes for those resorts wear the parking is far. These are moderately okay in the walk from the car to the resort.

But going from the resort to the car, I found them too warm. Its actually my only complaint about the shoes, they are too warm at times. So if you get cold feet like I do, these are amazing in the colder weather.

But wear them on a decent day and your feet will sweat. If I lost them or damaged them, I wouldn’t hesitate to rebuy them immediately. I do wonder if the mule slides would allowed me to use in all 3 scenarios or if they would have been too cold in the coldest environment or still too warm at times.

By the way, I climbed and camped in below freezing weather and these have been great for 25 degrees Fahrenheit.

I like this brand. I’m 5. 5uk and purchased 6 but was too big so I exchanged with 5 and that was perfect fit. I wore them today in rainy day for not more than an hour and the water went through them as if they’re were slippers so definitely not water repellent at all although I understand the difference between waterproof and water repellent.

On the smooth wet pavement they were extremely slippery and I was shocked Bcz they are described as traction mules on wet and dry surface but in reality they r not. They became heavy and soaked in water.

I couldn’t imagine wearing them outside in winter if is snowing. They should be ok indoors. Also too wide to wear outside daily. Makes you look shorter and the sole is so flat it hurts the back of the heel a bit.

They r “nice”Bcz they belong to this brand and have the brand logo on them but I would not purchase this again for sure. I’d return them but I know they will not accept them Bcz I wore them once.

The boots run small and I had to exchange them for a larger size. They only lasted about 3 weeks until they split across the top. The first day I wore them without the ice grippers and I fell down. But with the ice grippers they were good.

I really liked the ice grippers and was very disappointed when the boots split.

I do walking paper routes and wanted something lighter than my heavy boots. I tried a pair and they are very comfortable to walk in. I walk around 4 miles each time I do the papers. seemed okay on ice, but did not use the grippers as there wasn’t enough ice to use them.

I ordered 2 more pair as lighter, waterproof and comfortable boots are hard to find around here. Was kind of worried how they would fit, but ordered the same size as my old lighter ones and they fit perfect.

I have worn these boots for two winters and love the comfort and durabilIty. I bought a pair for a dear friend of mine for this winter and she loves them as well. Mine make a weird sound like walking with spurs on after the first time I flipped the ice grips out and back in but did not affect the function.

First bought these boots in a size 6 but had to exchange for a 6. 5 as they seemed to run small. Totally delighted with them though now that I have the correct fit. So light and comfortable with the best support I’ve ever had from a hiking boot.

Really impressed with the fit and quality. Used them for a long hike without wearing them in and have no blisters or sore points. I’ve never purchased this brand of boot before but I’m very happy I discovered them as they are the best boots, for look, fit and performance that I’ve Ever owned.

I read the views before I purchase it and it’s exactly like what people commenting on those reviews. People are suggesting need to get a bit bigger size which I did (I normally wear UK4. 5 but I got UK5.

5)and it fit great with woolly or thick winter shocks and also very stylish (not too chunky). Very happy with the product.

They came today and I am wearing them in the house to break them in. Very stiff. Usually wear size 10 1/2 in New Balance. Ordered an 11. Glad I did .Rating a 4 star . hay I just got them.
