20 Best Shoes For Hair Stylists (2023 Updated)

I bought these 2 weeks ago and I loved them. These shoes have a nice non slid bottom. The leather is nice are perfect for narrow feet. If you would be patient enough to stretch them out, could be also for regular feet.

I don’t recommend to wide feet it’s going to give a hard time to stretch. Overall they are very nice looking shoes.

This shoe is great if you’re looking for something with non-slip soles, which was the main reason I purchased it because I was crunched for time for a work shoe but the tom-style/ non-curved design pinches in on the inner foot and can become uncomfortable if worn for long periods of time.

There are also no orthopedic inserts so that is a con as well. If i were redesigning this shoe I would make it a little more orthotic especially for the $40 price point.

I received 2 different size shoes. I called immediately to report the problem. I was told they were out of my size so I could only have a refund. I really just wanted the correct size. Then I was told I needed to pack up the shoes and return them before I could get a refund AND that I could not be refunded the $8.

95 +. 54 (tax) that I paid for shipping! I should not have to pay the shipping for an item that I cannot use because of their mistake. Lesson learned: DO NOT PURCHASE STEVE MADDEN SHOES ANYMORE. These were not my first pair – I have several SM shoes, but I’m done.

My second pair. Got a pair at Dillards a few years ago. Wore them on a fall trip to New York City and the complements kept coming. This is my second pair and l absolutely love them. They are very comfortable and a good fit.

Best for mild fall weather because of the material on the top of the feet is like mesh so, feet may get cold. my first pair was suede and leather which keeps my feet warmer. I think you will enjoy these as l do.

I purchased these sneakers because they were unique, fun, and on clearance. I don’t have a lot of luck ordering shoes online. I have very wide feet, very skinny ankles and high arches. It’s really hard to find shoes that fit comfortably.

I can sometimes wear a 6 1/2 wide but usually have to order a 7 and sometimes even a 7 wide, depending on the shoe. I cannot wear any shoe with a narrow toe box at all. I ordered these in a size 7 and have been delightfully surprised at how well they fit and how comfortable they are to wear.

I have plenty of room in the length and width. The tongue is a bit thick and it rides a bit high but that’s not a problem for me, probably because my ankles are boney and thin. My foot doesn’t slip or slide in this shoe, even when I dont’ have it laced up tightly.

I call it a “shoe” because although it looks like a sneaker, I certainly wouldn’t work out in these. But I have worn them on weekend shopping trips where I’ve been out for hours and walking a lot of stores and they are really comfortable.

I wear a lot of black so I was drawn to the sneaker with the colors Red/Khaki/White/Camo/Dots. I thought the Red just made the shoe pop and I was right. The red isn’t neon red or bright red, but more of a deep red or wine color which is really nice.

I get a lot of compliments when I wear them, usually from females younger than me so I know these must be on trend! I saw that in some reviews people experienced the sole and the tip of the shoe wearing or pulling away.

That hasn’t been my experience. I’ve wear mine for 4 to 8 hours at a time and at least once a week for several months now and they still look new. Also, I’ve worn these several times now without socks and they are just as comfortable as when I do wear socks.

I also want to just mention that although these shoes look big i size, they are surprisingly light in weight. When I wear these without socks, I sprinkle some foot powder inside and I never have a problem with my feet getting too hot or sweaty.

Overall, a really cute shoe that feels good to wear.

Pros: its very stylish. If you didn’t want to fork out the money on Golden Gooses then this would be a good alternative. I like the inside zipper for easy access and non lacing up required. Con: The back of the shoe irritated back of my ankle.

Also they are nor that comfortable for long wear, not a lot of cushion.

I was SO excited to splurge for these sneakers. Don’t get me wrong, they are adorable, but they might just get the award for the most uncomfortable sneakers I’ve ever worn. I had 3 blisters within an hour.

Wear with caution and bring bandaids.

Got these for my 12 year old daughter a few weeks ago. So cute & comfy plus easy on & off with zipper on side. She always gets compliments on them.

Generally speaking, On’s are the best shoes I ever had. But, the Cloud Hi and CloudNova have a “littly” more rigid material at the bottom of the laces, about mid-feet that completely strangle the feets and make them uncomfortable.

Unlike the CloudSwift. I have to shut a bottle of wine in them for about a month to loosen the rigid material to make them a little more confortable. Taking with other friends, men and women, I realized it was a common non-gender centric problem, originally thinking a simply had abnormally big feet.

Either way, pretty sure this will be fixed at some point a will definitely make them insanely perfect. But this surely does need to be addressed on many models.

This is my 4th pair of On. The On Cloud (4th gen) had the issue where the dip line at the side toe area would crease sharply, and several folk I know including found the more rigid upper mesh eventually tore.

That has been fixed with the On Cloud 5. The Terry has a soft slightly stretchy fabric upper, so that part of the dip doesn’t seem to be an issue. The terry cloth tongue can look a little funky with the elastic laces, but they look killer with the included regular laces.

Very comfortable and sleek fit.

My first pair of On and I made a mistake. The shoes look better in pics than in real life. In my opinion, it’s awkwardly designed – especially the upper exterior of the shoe. I’m new to the bottom sole technology and it seems to be fine – different than say Hoka or New Balance.

The upper part is where I ran into issues. The suede upper gave my big toe some discomfort the first few outings. I’m unsure if this is meant to be a performance shoe or not (highly doubtful). This, I think, works if you are wearing it mostly for walking or standing – definitely not a performance running or hiking shoe.

Thought about returning it but since I put a few miles on it as a true test, I’m stuck.

I can walk with ease. Comfy and very non slip highly reccomend. Kind of foamy base meaing i can walk for hours with ijt pain great shoes

I got these cause my feet were very sore from being on my feet for 8 hour shifts I got them and went and bought mor insoles from home bargains (£2. 50 ish) You need to clean the shoes as you would any and come with a little tool to help with this I wore some Dunlop’s before these shoes and they have more slip resistance and more oil resistance But these shoes from shoes for crews are ok and get the job done.

Very comfortable for working long hours especially when your constantly on your feet and on the move 24/7

I was so skeptical about buying shoes online but after researching Taft and seeing the quality and integrity of the product and company, I knew it would be safe. I thought with the high demand for these excellent shoes that shipping would take a long time.

Since I special ordered the Jack Shoe in Eden Noir the alert said shipping began in March. I got them in December. Early shipping during the holidays?!? Extra Star. I also ordered 2 more pair that came immediately.

Within 10 days of ordering I had my shoes. The shipping box and presentation of my shoes was beautiful also. The shipping box has structure to prevent the shoebox from being damaged. Once inside the shoebox the bags, the shoe horn and the shoes.

Wow, what a pleasure! Taking the shoes out of the bags and holding them in my hands I can feel and see the craftsmanship. Every stitch is perfect. No loose threads, no flaws. Inside and out it’s what you want when you’re looking for this level of shoe.

Comfort level 10! Walking is nice and easy, very nice flex, seems to mold to the shape of my foot very well. The shoe feels sturdy also, not delicate. Fit was great for me! I used the fit calculator on the website and going down half a size was perfect advice.

I love these shoes so much. I don’t want EVERYONE to have them either… I like how eye catching they are and how you can dress them up with a suit or go down to jeans and still look great!!! 10 stars.

Have had my first pair of Taft shoes for about a week and couldn’t be happier! Being a woman I had to guess at the size (normally U. S. women’s 9. 5, bought men’s 7) but I guessed right. They’re roomy but that’s how I like ‘um; no pinched toes for this girl.

The compliments keep coming and I feel like a star when wearing them. They were also completely comfortable right out of the box, with no break-in period needed. The quality of construction is unparalleled, and I love the anti-slip disks on the bottom of the shoe.

Stylish and useful! Though my budget won’t allow me to fill my wardrobe with dozens of pairs of Taft’s, I plan to treat myself to at least a pair a year and maybe beg an extra pair or two as gifts (one can dream, right?).

I recently purchased two additional pairs due to its quality and durability! My first pair was purchased a little over two years ago and it’s time to finally replace them! I work in car sales and i’m on my feet a lot during a 9-12 hour work day- walking on pavement in all 4 seasons of Michigan weather.

Typically a pair of dress shoes lasst me six months to a year, The Jack shoe lasted two years! Once a month I would clean, condition, and polish my dress shoes to maintain a “new “ looking shoe and I still got compliments even in their old age.

I replace the laces once as after nearly 2 years the wax on the lace was starting to wear. I highly recommend! Tip: if you live where snow can be present I highly recommend Scotchgardening the fabric portion of the dress you- it will stop or minimize the salt stains!.

Lovely item. Well made and soft leather. I read the reviews and as suggested i downsized. (I’m a size 5 usually and ordered a 4) Unfortunately I returned them as they pinch my toes ( the toe isn’t leather so they’re not going to stretch and fit me comfortably) That said a size 5 would have been like clown shoes so it’s right to go down a size.

Gutted if they did half sizes would have been perfect.

Beautifully soft leather and very comfortable. Sized down to a 7 as recommended, glad I did! These trainers were worn for a few hours at weekends, so I was surprised that after a few months the buckle detached itself from the leather! I did not expect this from quality trainers! Returning to VERY.

Have wanted a pair of these for around 12 months but thought quite expensive. I have persevered & saved & managed to find with a discount. So glad I did as I love them! Have worn loads already very much a casual look but I’ll wear these with skirts jeans dresses anything & anywhere I can do casual.

Zip fastening so easy to get on & off. Great quality leather & very comfy. Hoping to get plenty of wear to make the price worthwhile. So far so good! I would say true to size.

I just don’t know where to start, everything is so good about these shoes. My husband has had a massive stroke and can’t tie shoes, these open up very wide to get his stiff foot into, it accommodates his leg brace and he can put them on and pull the straps across and close with the Velcro closure one handed.

They come in a very wide size perfect for him, they wear very well and are incredibly comfortable. He uses the white/navy for every day and the black for dress. Best of all the price fits our fixed income much better than his previous $150.

Pair. It’s been 2 years and I just ordered his 3rd pair not because his are worn out but just to have another pair in case they discontinue these.

I bought these for outdoor work and occasional wear for errands. The width is adequate for my wide foot as is the length. The shoes feel stiffer and seem to have less cushion on my heel than name brand wide width shoes I have bought previously.

I did not expect shoes at this price to have as good a feel of cushion as other shoes I have purchased and my assessment was correct. I will add a thicker insert to see if that will improve the feel.

A pair of shoes like these will likely be worn for light chores or in situations where it will not bother me to get them soiled on the outer surface, while doing roof work or painting.

These shoes are extremely comfortable right out of the box. They are extremely light with a great arch, and comfort bed. If it’s Guide gear its quality made. The price is way less than any other name brands.

I have my hunting and cold weather boots by Guide gear also. You just can’t go wrong. The Guide gear brand just seems to last and stand up for years to come. These shoes are very well made. I like how light these shoes are.

The fit right out of the box I’d a winner also. They look like my old Nike Monarchs but in my opinion they are a better built shoe. I know they will last much longer than the Nike brand ,because they seem to be built much better with much nicer quality materials.

If your looking for a pair of shoes that will last, look good, and will be there for a good long time. I recommend buying these shoes. I have never been dissatisfied with anything I’ve bought from Sportsmans guide.

I don’t believe you will either. They are just so comfortable like you’ve worn them for weeks ,no breaking these in nor any sore feet from a new pair of shoes. These will be the shoes you’ve been looking for.

I was so excited for these to come in the mail cause they’re so cute and could go with so many things. However, when i went to do try them on I felt a stabbing pain on the bottom of my heel… figured it was some trash or something that had got in the shoe.

there is a nail that i guess connects the heel to the boot itself and it was sticking out stabbing the bottom of my heel. very disappointed. with these boots being nearly $100 I would expect much better quality.

also these run pretty narrow. i’ve never had this problem with any other shoes or boots I have ever bought. their super cute and i would love to actually be able to wear them but the nail sticking out would make it impossible lol.

I’ve had these boots for a few months now and I’m coming here you say you need these. They are my go to boots, I grab them for any occasion; rainy day, dirty fairgrounds, late night out, anything. They are pretty comfortable, the quality is great and they’ve made it though all I’ve done with them so far.

I will say though, they’re a trendy boot, I don’t expect them to last me forever with how often I wear them, but 1000% worth it.

once broken in theyre very comfortable but the first couple times wearing my ankles got blisters (wear long ankle socks when you wear these to avid this). Also runs a bit small, if you like wearing thick socks size up.

They look amazing and go with anything/give an elegant look. easy to walk in and keep balance.

very thin and light weight. good for everyday use. if you go half size up or down it won’t be too drastic of a size change. i always buy true to size and worked well with me. quality is decent, not as great as it used to be when i was younger, but can’t complain because the shoe game is way too crazy now so have to get what i can get or am allowed to get.

I really like this pair of Dunk Low Halloween, they are always in good condition and everything is clean. The packaging is also very attractive, size 11 suits me, fits very well and is nice.

I was extremely impressed with the appearance and comfortable fit. Did not have to break-them-in. Easy to wear right from the shipping box. Pretty shade of blue; even with the description indicating ‘denim’ (for the shade).

I have replaced older boots with these styles, and they are well made for the price, a nice height for a shorter woman and not too wide in the foot. I get plastic taps put under the heels and toes of most of my shoes and boots by my shoe repair man, and the soles last much longer.

I would love to wear this boot but they are not true to size. Calf is way too big and shoe is way too narrow I bought 2 pair and will be sending them back. This is exactly what I wanted. I rated them a 2 simply because it is a beautiful boot!.

Not sure what everyone is raving about. They come in a pretty box, the faux animal print material was pretty, along with the metallic trim, but even with all of that, they were uncomfortable, slightly awkward shaped shoes.

There is a high rise inside the shoe, tapering down to ground level at the toe. It causes the shoe to have a trapezoid shape (teacher). I have plenty of cute, not comfy shoes. I am shocked at how many people expressed comfort.

I love Birdie’s!! They are so comfortable and stylish! This is my third pair from Nordy’s, I have the black velvet loafers, the gold mule and now the plaid sneaker. They fit great, are so comfortable and are cute with everything.

I have my eye on a couple more pairs. I have sworn off heels and Birdie’s has so many great choices. The plaid sneaks will go with jeans and dresses and have a funky vintage vibe that is so cute right now.

I recently purchased these shoes for an upcoming vacation where I knew I’d be doing a lot of walking. These Birdies did not let me down! Aside from the cool, sporty look, they were super comfy even after days averaging 5-7 miles of walking.

I bought them in Fierce Black and I am planning to buy them in more colors. I bought these in my usual size (10), and they were a bit looser but not much with socks. I think buying a half size smaller would have been too tight.

I really love these shoes! They’re comfortable, the leather is soft and the look is so unique. It’s a quality shoe. The fit in the toe is not too tight. The calf hair is something to be careful of when wearing around and caring for.

These are well made, high quality loafers. I went with my bigger size, as I think they fit narrow. I decided not to keep them, as the toe was a bit too square for me. I’m looking for a loafer that will stand the test of time and look less trendy.

4 star shoe for me. Love the color, (definitely a cream, not white) and the variation on each shoe. I wear a 6 1/2 and they run true to size for me. I found the toe box to be a bit narrow though and had some sore pinky toes on first wear.

Earlier I bought 2 pairs of Equipe (not made in Italy) and those shoes are excellent. Now I bought a made in Italy model, and it’s uncomfortable, it’ narrow in the front and fits small despite I bought the same size as before.

The materials and the quality is great. It’s a little bit harder then the other models. I recommend, but not for me.
