20 Best Shoes For Driving Manual (2023 Updated)

Sparco touts this shoe as larger and more comfortable. The width is still very narrow. I am a big guy and wear a 12 EEE. I ordered a 12. 5 in the Sparco Race 2. It was painful and is being exchanged for a Simpson shoe that is hopefully a bit more roomy.

The shoe quality, price and appearance are all great, but Sparco needs to be truthful and not claim this is somehow more comfortable for fat feet than the normal Sparco Race shoe. It just isn’t true from my experience.

Sparco’s “Race” boot was one of the only comfortable boots available for people with wide feet. Sparco still advertises that the replacement (this boot, the “Race 2”) has a wide shoe box, but sadly that’s not true.

I ordered the same size, and could not ever get my foot into the Race 2. No complaints with Speedway Motors at all, but this boot just isn’t what the manufacturer claims.

I’m a size 9. I ordered a 9 and the fit was spot on. I have slightly wide feet up front and these fit very comfortably, while still giving me a solid “feel” I needed for working the pedals in my car.

On top of that, they look good and the quality is good. Felt good about the price given the quality, fit, look and feel.

Impressive Comfort. These shoes were perfect for the size I ordered and they fit perfectly to size. They are a handiwork, like none other seen. They will be comfortable to wear as a casual shoe, more for winter.

So glad to have found these, as something one commonly doesn’t see. I will wear these as winter comes. So far, only a try-on when I received them and that was awesome in every way.

I have had numerous driving shoes. I won’t say all the names. I drive racecars, 4 track championships, 20+ wins, can heel toe downshift while working the brake pedal efficiently. These Piloti Shift shoes are by far the best designed driving shoes I have ever used for heel toe downshifts while braking, throttle control, power shifts/no lift and semi lift shifts, overall pedal control and feel, comfort, and casual good style too.

I just wore them for a 24 hour and 33 hour roundtrip flight path too. No issues whatsoever. Perfectly comfortable and are casual and low key but at the same time they have an aggressive and well made overall design too.

I have seen no negative reviews but if any appear do not listen to them. Buy the shoes if you are considering them, they are worth it. They will seem slightly tight the first week or so until they are broken in but after that they will be perfect.

Thanks for making these driving shoes available again. My first pair from 25 years ago is long gone. These shoes, along with a pair of Pumas and a pair of Sparcos, are used in rotation for my work developing race car simulation models in a driving simulator.

The rounded heal is a must-have for proper pedal modulatiion. The rubber soles have a lot of grip – almost too much. The fit is narrow in the forefoot and a little loose in the heal – but this is remidied by changing the insoles.

There is very little support for walking around, but this seems like a design decision biased towards DRIVING. Of course these are the shoes I’ll wear outside the office when I’m driving my real E30 M3!.

Ordered size 12 online and they were pretty tight. Could physically see it was a smaller shoe than what I was wearing. Ordered a size 13 and they were a perfect fit. Very comfortable and solid feeling shoe.

Would recommend to anyone. I will be returning the size 12’s. Never had a problem with returns to Summit in the past and I’m sure I won’t now. They always stood behind everything. Class act.

For the price, these shoes are great. I didnt want to buy the cheapest pair of racing shoes, but j also didnt want the most expensive. These fit the bill. Comfortable, lightweight, and made by Simpson.

You can feel the quality in these. The sizing was accurate for me.

This is my second pair of these shoes. Very comfortable in the car and while working on the chassis. Definitely worth the money.

Wear the racing shoes when race. Very comfortable and fit great. Delivered sooner than expected to be delievred which is super great. Will be buying more when need more.

I’ve used these shoes for just 3 races but I love them! They are comfortable and sturdy. Only thing about them is you probably want to wear longer socks, but that’s not a big deal at all. I would suggest buying this product to anyone looking for a solid deal on some racing shoes!.

Shipped wrong shoes. ordered 1 k z part no. And was shipped 1 k s. was a Christmas present. they were supposed to be red shoes. but they shipped black instead. Now dont have anything to give to a five year old.

they were ordered a month before Christmas. They now tell me they’re backordered till January.

Shoe eyelet failed after 3 uses. Pedal feel is poor compared to other race shoes.

Good quality and design, theblaces get caught in the strap quite a lot, overall it’s a good buy.

Like the look of the shoes but I ordered my usual size but should have ordered the next size up. I should have returned them but thought they might stretch out. So i will not get much use out of them but they are nice shoes so I would suggest ordering the next size up.

After buying the shoe, I had an order at the Smyrna Store to pick up one on hold. When I walked in, they greeted me long after I had past the booth. The woman asked another couple for help, that said “no”, but I said yes.

She continued walking off as though she didn’t hear me even though I said it so loud that she had to hear me. She seemed to do this because she was agitated that I didn’t turn back after she gave me a late greeting as I was far down the isle.

Finally, the other couple grabbed her to acknowledge me, so she had to. She was eating and chewing food the entire time she was helping me find the shoe. Finally another sales associate came to help me.

And yeesss, food was falling out of her mouth as she worked with me! ! ! ! ! I felt this was not only very unprofessional, but all out GHETTO ! !.

It is a Christmas gift for my son who I think will be able to use for several race seasons to come. I feel confident by buying a Simpson race product it will the best safety products you can use!!!

These are nice shoes unfortunately I had to return them because they were too small. They were even the same shoes and the same size as my sons old shoes. I just don’t have luck ordering shoes off of the internet :).

By far the most comfortable race shoe I have ever had. Laces get tucked away to avoid getting caught on anything and stay clean. Leather outside cleans up nice. Very nice shoe

For the money, can’t be beat. The only thing keeping me from giving them a 5 star rating is the stiffness of the sole. After breaking them in, they might get even better but compared to my old racing shoes, they are stiffer which takes some time to get used too when walking around the pits etc.

I wear 11’s, thankfully I was able to try on the boots at Summits showroom and found the 12’s to fit better and not create pressure points. So I would say go 1/2 to 1 size bigger than needed.

My husband loves these! We sized down one like we usually do for Ferragamo mocs. This is the softer leather that feels more comfy and is more casual. He also liked this brown over the more traditional darker brown as it looks more modern.

The blue in the braid is a nice touch.

The shoes are beautiful but a bit uncomfortable. The buckle hurt my foot and as it was my first time wearing them they did cause some discomfort to the back of my foot as well. I did receive a lot of compliments though and everyone loved how they made the outfit!.

Very comfortable. I recommend getting your true size. I normally wear a size 11 and tried on a size 10.5 and felt tightness at the top of my foot. Well crafted, soft suede.
