20 Best Shoes For Air Travel (2023 Updated)

I have purchased several of the Easy Spirit mules in the past few years. Most recently I purchased this both this shoe and the Romy butterfly mule. Both Easy Spirit, both size 10W and both from feelgoodstore.

However there is a very marked difference in the size for these 2 styles. Romy is slightly larger than my foot and the Traveltime Slip on Sneaker is slightly smaller. The difference is so much that I can barely wear the Traveltime even without socks while the Romy shoes are slightly big even with socks.

I intend to use a shoe stretcher on the Traveltime shoes so I can actually wear them. Going up to siz 11W may be a better answer. I would still purchase more of both the shoes, as they are well made and cute.

but be aware, the sizes between shoes can vary greatly.

This shoe is AMAZING! I sometimes have swelling or pain in my ankles and the fit is so perfect for it! It allows for extra room and freedom in just the right places. I ended up going with the white color, as they didn’t have the color I wanted in my size at the time.

I was worried about white – however I’ve had them two weeks, wear them EVERYWHERE, and haven’t had a problem! Even if I did – I feel they would be easy to clean. The best thing about them is that they are SO stylish, they go with everything! I can wear them with jeans, wide or slender leg pants, activewear like sweats, cute skirts, etc.

I’ve worn these shoes for many many years now but I find the sizing has changed drastically. A wide ‘W’ is no long a wide but more like a ‘M’. I bought two pair at the same time to replace older worn out ones and one is a bit wider but still not as wide as my other mules.

The other pair actually hurt my feet to squeeze into them. Just wondered if anyone else has found this to be a problem. Most of these reviews were written too many years ago. The pair that doesn’t fit well came with none of the usual ‘new’ wrappings–shoe insert or plastic bag wrapped– so I believe it is a ‘returned’ item.

Possibly for the same reason.

I bought these in the Black Sparkle on a whim, and I have to say that they are exreeeeeemely comfortable! They are soft to my skin, no rubbing, and they are light weight yet thick enough to keep my feet warm in the cool a/c of florida.

They look classy & sporty — definitely not too “older lady looking” for me. I’ve been waring them around the house instead of house slippers ever since they arrived, as wll as running errands in them — which speaks volumes as to their comfort.

——-> NOTE: I ordered 1/2 size up from my usual sneaker size, so my heels would not be right at the edge, and the fit is Perfect. I recommend that you do the same. These are keepers!!.

This is my 2nd pair of Propet TravelActive Axial. I needed a light color and after having tried another style went back to Axial. The comfort is good although I think the insole could be slightly more padded.

The shoe is very light weight and that is important for me. The construction of the sole is more knobby then I would prefer although after wearing the first pair for 6 months it doesn’t seem to collect and disburse dirt.

The lace eyelets surrounded by metal so relacing or tightening up the laces is good. There is adequate padding around the ankle. Now to size–I usually wear an 8 or 8 1/2 narrow. These are 8 1/2 and none too long.

I would say this style runs skimpy in length. The narrow is not super narrow. I do like that these are shipped directly from the distributor so you tend to get a new pair that hasn’t been tried on dozens of times.

Some extended-size shoes are supportive but stiff; these shoes, instead, lack support but don’t pressure my feet in any way. I love how light they are and how soft they feel. I especially love the stretchy fabric upper, which readily accommodates all my weird toe joints — bunion, bunionette, incipient hammer toes.

Because the shoe is so lightweight, it doesn’t exert any extra pressure on the tops of my feet. The marshmallow soles are flexible and feel soft. This shoe only got four stars, however, because it basically provides zero support.

If you want arch support, you’ll need to provide your own insoles (there’s plenty of room. ) Also only four stars because it’s a little cheap-looking, and I suspect it will not last very well. But if you want a shoe that babies your toes, this is it.

I walk several miles a day and I am constantly in search of good, comfortable wide walking shoes. I’ve had some good luck with Propet in the past, so I thought I would try these. I will say that they are comfortable for day-to-day wear, doing normal activities.

They are attractive on my foot, i. e. , they look like a normal width. However, they are not “walking” shoes. If you’re going to use them to “go for walks,” save your money. And speaking of money, they are not a bargain at QVC pricing.

After finding them to be very uncomfortable for walks, I searched the internet to see if others had the same reaction. While searching I also saw prices offered by other vendors. They are available at cheaper prices in several places.

The price at QVC is the same as Nordstrom, and since this was not a free S&H offer, you can see where I’m heading with this. Very disappointed.

I love these shoes! There is no break-in time; they fit great right out of the box! Super lightweight and breathable. Perfect for light hikes and wearing around town. I have a tendency to walk on the outsides of my soles and these correct my alignment and are SOOOO comfortable.

I even like the laces!.

These shoes are very comfortable with a lot of nice details that are hard to see online. Fit is true to size for me. I got them for the enhanced breathability, which is better than the SCARPA Crux Air.

I would not use these shoes for technical rock scrambling, the rubber on the sole is more like a running shoe than climbing rubber. Great for daily wear in hot climates and moderate approaches.

Most comfortable shoe I own. Like the light weight for everyday wear, and Vibram sole on steep slippery paths. Size 10.5 is difficult to find, and a perfect fit for me. This is my 3rd pair!

Narrow, uncomfortable, painful (painful with less than 2 miles, incl warmup). In the not-to-distant past, for many years Chinese lasts were known for being smaller than U. S. and/or West’s (European – U.

K. , Germ, Switz, etc) lasts (confirmed by a major U. S. athletic shoe mfr’s regional director many years ago). It now appears China athletic shoe mfrs have come on board complying with U. S. shoe sizes and lasts.

However, it seems as though the Vietnam athletic shoe mfrs are offering the same resistance to complying with the West’s (U. S. , European, etc larger feet/shoe sizes) shoe sizes with several Vietnam brands providing smaller shoe sizes, especially width.

RETURNING (3 pairs).

I bought these Merrell Moab trail running shoes, because I have knee and severe ankle pain. I could even walk because the pain was so bad. I am seeing a foot and ankle Dr and I am taking anti inflammatory meds and have had shots in the ankle.

She recommended athletic shoes and I had scans of my feet for orthotic inserts for me shoes. I and walking now without the severe debilitating pain that I had. I have 3 different pairs of Merrell running types of shoes.

I love them for the support that I get from the shoes. They are the best!.

I use these shoes mostly for hiking, and occasional trailrunning, but the split is like 95/5. I also walk in cities occasionally, but it’s pretty rare. Anyway, they are fantastic if the trail is not wet.

I can’t say that they provide a lot of support when you go through rocks/roots, but you have to pay for how light they are. And they do feel light, I can walk all day in them and don’t feel anything on my feet.

As I’ve said, their biggest downfall is that they let in all the moisture, but because of that they are breathable.

With such great reviews I thought this would be the final purchase I would make while looking for the best fitting shoe. I was wrong. Maybe I didn’t pick the best fit for my feet- but since I was going by customer reviews I thought I would be happy.

Nope. These squeeze my toes together. The shoe is plenty wide otherwise- but my toes are miserable and I need good shoes for work standing up all day so these are definitely not them. They could also use better cushioning.

I have to use an insert which does not help my toes either. Sorry Kuru. These are well built and sturdy but not built for my feet.

At first, I thought they were too small because they were tight on the sides, but after walking around in them for a while, the sides relaxed and that’s when I realized they were about half an inch too long.

Now they bend a bit at the toe but it’s too late to return them for a smaller size, which I think would be too small. Overall, not a big deal. They’re comfortable and they look great. I also like the sole’s thickness.

Oftentimes, shoes like these have a very thin sole and you can feel pebbles and stuff through the bottom of the shoe. These are nice and sturdy. They feel durable and well made.

Second time purchase of TRVL Lite Sneaker: first was in black and appearance is flawless. The second (motivated by the first experience) and recent purchase was for a white pair. While the comfort is terrific, the appearance/quality of the leather is disappointing.

The uppers are not ‘smooth’ and, instead, have a ‘wrinkled’ appearance. Moving to higher price point product would have been a wiser decision.

I bought two different pairs of shoes from Toms. They both were too tight. When I wanted to return them, they told me I had to pay myself for shipping, which would cost me about $40 each, since their return warehouse is across the country.

That is such a bad customer experience and I definitely will never be buying from Toms Canada again!.

I purchased these shoes because they have Vibram soles; my favorite shoe – a different brand – had Vibram soles. I have only been able to find Vibram soles on the Samuel Hubbard shoe. I’ve worn them a few times, and they are comfortable.

The removable inner sole is a tad thick, compared to what I am used to, and the shoe is a bit heavier than the shoe they replaced. The craftsmanship is second to none. My only quibble is that they are, honestly, overpriced.

I bought these in black a few years ago. They are a snug fit and need a lot of break in time. Have to remove the insoles and substitute foam for the first few months (or more) It took about 2 years before I could reinsert the original insoles in the first pair.

The shoes are handsome and polished. May use a darker brown polish to give them a dressier look. All 6 pairs of shoes are now Hubbards, which my aging feet require!.
