20 Best Shoe For Sprained Ankle (2023 Updated)

My son has Charcot-Marie-Tooth and severe foot deformities. The post op toe surgery boot are the best protection for his toes. He wears a size 16 shoe and the only negative comment I have is the toe part of the shoe is too long and is a tripping hazard.

Vivehealth could make a fortune on designing an actual sandal with this toe design especially for people with hammer toes. We would be first on the list to purchase the sandals. It could eliminate having toe surgery for some people.

I purchased the walking boot via Amazon, but since I apparently haven’t spent enough money there lately to be worthy of the ability to leave a review, I’ll do so here. I got this for my best friend who had broken her pinky toe.

The other day when I took her to urgent care (because she is diabetic and she was worried about the circulation in her toes), the PA was so impressed by this walking boot, he showed it to everyone in the office and wrote down the name “Vive” because it’s apparently so much better than what they have to offer patients! This shoe works really well for stabilizing the foot after a hairline compression fracture. The real benefit of this shoe, as compared to other post-op shoes, is the upper strap that closes around the ankle.

When I tried a boot without this strap, I started developing a an achilles tendon strain; due to the gait compensation necessary without the anchoring strap. I checked with my podiatrist before switching to this style.

An enhancement to this style would be providing more velcroe for the anchoring strap.

I have been wearing 928 V3s now for a few years when not at work. I find the shoes fit well, are comfortable, functional and reasonably attractive in any setting. They feel great no matter what I am doing.

(Walking around town, working on my boat or car, going for nature hike, or just hanging out at home. ) I like the padding because it makes it easy to stand for long periods of time. (I have a standing desk at home, and there are times when I am standing at the desk for 8-12 hours a day, which is less appealing in a less comfortable pair of shoes.

) I don’t really use them anymore for anything “athletic,” but I used to wear them at the gym. All the 928s that I have bought over the years last a long time, even if they begin to look a little ratty.

(When they start getting really dirty, I use them for dirtier activities. ) I keep an extra pair in my car so that if I want to change out of more “formal” shoes after work, I can do that easily. The soles also have the right balance between soft and durable.

I started buying 928s after the New Balance/Sperry boat shoe was discontinued. (To this day, I think the New Balance/Sperry model boat shoe is my favorite, though the soles wore down quickly because the rubber was so soft.

) Because of what I presume were supply chain problems couldn’t find 928s in the blueish/gray color in my size for 2 months. I checked the New Balance website daily, sometimes twice a day. When they were finally available in my size and color, I pounced.

(I was going to buy 2 pairs anyway, but as I was making the purchase the website said there were only two pairs left, so I didn’t buy some other items I was thinking of buying out of fear that someone else might beat me to the last two pair in my size.

).

Previous to these shoes, I have been wearing the MW813 walking shoe for several years and was disappointed by the poor life and performance of PU-Leather (plastic leather substitute) used for the entire upper of the 813.

I was pleased to find that the MW928 v3 had leather uppers and foot bed style of the well fitting 813 while improving comfort and durability. The 928 v3 is a comfortable shoe and supports well while walking on streets and other paved surfaces.

It felt “broken in” from first use. Seems true to size. Due to the flat sole design I would not recommend it for trail use. It is a nicely styled lace-up, and will work with “business casual” in most cases as an all-day shoe.

Since the uppers are leather they can be kept smart-looking with a little shoe polish, something that doesn’t work with PU-Leather shoes. Soles have reasonable wet grip on moderately smooth surfaces.

Not sure of sole wear since they are new to me. One issue I had with them were the extra long shoe laces they came with. Although many modern synthetic laces stretch with time, these were so long I had to cut 10″ off them to keep the ends from dragging on the ground and tripping myself be stepping on them after my first walk.

It appears that a 44″ lace would be much better. Cost is considerably higher than the MW813, but if they wear better, the higher price will be worth it.

I am an old guy and I wanted a pair of good quality, solid footware that would give me good support and slip resistance for simply walking and doing light chores. I had a pair of shoes that met most of these goals but I was getting sick and tired of having to constantly worry about loose shoe laces not only because of the inconvenience they presented but, more importantly, because of the tripping threat.

When you are my age you don’t want to add to your chances of falling. I found what I was looking for on line. I had already looked for similar shoes in several stores but couldn’t find them. These New Balance shoes fit great and had everything I was looking for.

And, I especially liked the set up with the Velcro straps that can be trimmed to avoid catching on things. I put a little polish on them and they buffed up nice. They may not be the flashiest shoes I ever owned but they are solid footware for guys like me.

Pluses: 1. This product has excellent support. 2. Plastic surfaces are easy to clean. Minuses: 1. This product does not breathe at all. 2. It sticks to your skin resulting in my 3rd Minus. 3. Difficult to remove without causing more pain.

4. Velcro & Straps are irritating to the skin. 5. Adjusting the Velcro & Straps to the proper support level causes the Lower Strap to rub the skin at the top of the foot. Note: This product was applied in a Hospital by a Nurse, then by a Physical Therapist trying to maneuver the Velcro & Straps to the correct support level without causing irritation but to no avail.

Finally: Unfortunately the Minuses far outweigh the Pluses and therefore my rating is low. Recommendation: NO I would not recommend this product for use on patients or home use. It’s unfortunate because this product does have great support.

Questions: 1. Is this Product BPA free? 2. Is this Product properly cleaned, disinfected & free of all irritants including latex prior to packaging? I ask this question because this Product was removed from it’s original packaging in front of me and placed directly on my bare skin.

The nurse took the packaging with her apparently to toss out. Also the Physical Therapist removed the Product and reapplied it also to my bare skin.

Badly sprained my ankle and tore my ACL in a skiing accident. This brace allowed me to walk pain free. Knee is healed, ankle is still giving me trouble. Ankle Brace allows me to walk pain free while i am healing.

Recommend by my doctor and works as expected. Reasonable comfortable and provides good lateral support. It is a good transition from a walking boot.

This was the second foot stabilizer walking boot I purchased from Braceability. The sizing is acurate and it’s very comfortable. I am able to match the sole height with a few pairs of shoes I have to even my hips, knees and back.

I purchased an Evenup but my shoes work best with this walking shoe. It is easy to use easy to clean and not so oversized that it stands out and causes comment. A great item. I am 5 weeks in to my fracture and am truly looking forward to walking normally once again.

The Braceability medical walking shoe is very well made. It allowed my broken pinky toe to not feel as much less pressure when I needed to wear shoes outside, making it easier to walk. I used the walking shoe until my toe swelling went down.

The main use I wanted for the medical walking shoe was to wear it around the house since my broken toe was causing pain bumping into things during normal activities. I wish I bought two of the walking shoes to wear like slippers, because it didn’t feel right to me just wearing one walking shoe and a sock on my other foot around the house.

A second walking shoe would be perfect – to wear the pair like slippers around the house. My toe is better now, but if I break another toe, I will buy a second Braceabiliy walking shoe so I have two medical walking shoes to wear around the house and I will probably wear the pair outside too, since they look like sandals.

6 weeks after my big toe joint replacement surgery I started replacing my big boot with this shoe. I still wear my boot to go out to the market or restaurants, but I wear this in low traffic areas and around my house.

I find it very convenient, safe and comfortable. I have not discussed wearing this shoe with my surgeon, but think he would approve. Best of all, I can drive with this shoe.

My overall experience, I’m satisfied. I have something that fits the way it should to alleviate the pain. The boot really works, it was just what I needed. The next day I was up and walking – using the boot when I had to.

Now when I go out – I take it with me. I still don’t know exactly what’s wrong with my foot the doctor wrote it’s osteoarthritis – I truly believe its something else – I checked my whole leg for pain – and felt pain at the back of my leg muscle that traveled down the back of my whole leg to my foot.

The emergency room did x-rays and wrapped my foot and gave me a device from prosthetics, I tried them on they made the pain worse. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t place my feet on the floor. Out of desperation I searched the internet and found your website.

Before I decided to go to the doctor, the pain had become unbearable, it started waking me up at night it was my Achilles Tendon, ankle joint, sole of my feet, all areas at once.

I really appreciate the foot brace, I understand its for stress/fractures. I believe that’s what I have. Its not a sprain as the doctor said. The pain is too intense and duration of the pain. The size is between True to size and slightly big – I don’t care, when I wear the boot – it doesn’t take long for the pain to stop.

Online, I found other types of angle support short boots, but I went straight for BRACEABILITY brand to help me heal and correct permanently the dislocated right foot.

As expected, the new boot is doing a great work. How i wish your products are popular in the whole of Africa and not only in Nigeria. Orthopedic hospitals, worldwide should recommend your products to post-operation patients.

I really got this boot too late. I have worn it a few times and it seemed to help, especially for long walks across parking lots and shopping. I will slip it on in the future if my foot problems return.

It really is most likely for the post surgery patients and I expect it would work well. I am between sizes which means that it was hard to get the inner boot to close properly before strapping the outer boot.

I found it hard to see the outer plastic “eyelets” and MY flexibility is limited. It had to be hooked by feel making it difficult for me. Once on it was extremely comfortable. The rocking motion built into the bottom took some getting used to so I used a cane for better balance.

I would give this boot a very high rating.

As with my previous purchase, I love these shoes. No break-in needed. They immediately fit perfect and comfy. The first day I wore them, I hiked around all day in them. Very sharp looking as well. I recently had a knee replacement and these cushion and impact and feel great.

Great shoe. Comfortable, sturdy. Really good support and good grip on the ground. I’m looking forward to road walking in the mountains. Also, they are truly waterproof. I got caught in a downpour and my feet were the only part of me that was dry!.

I wish I had found these shoes earlier, so I didn’t have wet feet walking the dogs every morning this summer. These shoes really keep my feet dry. They are tennis shoe style, so not bulky waterproof shoes, and support my arches.

I’ll start with a disclaimer: I needed to buy a men’s size because Kennetrek doesn’t make women’s boots in a wide width (which they really should for this particular boot, please Kennetrek just make one boot in a women’s wide, especially this one), so I have to put up with a sloppy fitting heel, which is not the fault of the boot.

These boots are superbly constructed and will last a very long time. I have bad feet and have had surgery on them so I really appreciate a boot that is designed to be as orthopedically comfortable as possible.

I am on my feet working all day and put in at least 8 miles a day walking around and standing on various surfaces. I was hoping for a boot that was comfortable enough to wear all day and to wear on long hikes, but these boots need a little bit of softer under-toe cushioning for that.

Even my regular Asolo hiking boots (also mens) have under-toe cushioning. After about 4 hours the soles of the boots start to feel uncomfortably hard under the ball of my foot and especially under my toes.

Otherwise the footbed has great support and generally reduces fatigue. If my feet can get used to these boots enough to last all day or I can figure out how to give my toes a little more cush, I’ll buy another pair with insulation for winter.

i thought this boot would be better built, the ultra-guide is three times the boot as this. But this is a comfortable boot if you are normal use, But I guess I put the to the test 7 days a week 16-20 hours a day and I have flat fee (no arch) on my feet I really wish I could find a boot that would last 6 months-a year.

The ultra-guide is the closes thing I have Found’ but at4-5 months my feet start to get blisters in the arch and pretty soon I know its time to order new boots If there is a better option for me, I am open for it Thanks Dustin Wingert.

These are the best thing I ever did for my feet. The first day I put them on I had no I mean no pain in my ankle and when I went to bed that night I had no pain. This was all on the first day, if you are thinking of getting a pair stop thing about it JUST GET THEM! you will not be sorry.

The customer service at Kuru is very good, so far. They are helpful and willing to listen. As for the shoe, I feel the shoe is decently comfortable. I am not a big fan of the thick cloth material that is under the insole of the shoe.

The thick cloth material always makes it feel as though there is something stuck in the shoe. After a hand full of outings that feeling has mostly gone away. What I can’t get over is the squeaking of both shoes.

The first pair I had squeaked whether I had the insoles in or not. I spoke with customer service, explained the issue and they sent me a new pair right away. Like I said “very good customer service so far.

” I now have my second pair and unfortunately the squeak is back. This time the squeak goes away if I remove the insole. However, as soon as my feet warm up in the shoes they both squeak with every step.

I plan to talk with customer service again on this issue. I will be asking for my money back this time. My guess is that there is a design flaw in the shoe, which is unfortunate because I really liked the design.

I was having arch, heal, leg and hip pain. I’ve been wearing the NB shoe for years. I work on concrete in the factory 8-12 hrs a day and it was pretty hard getting out of the car after the hour drive home.

I had to do something and I decided to try this shoe to see if it would ease my discomfort before spending a fortune at the podiatrist, I am here to tell you I am glad I made this purchase. The shoe is well made, looks good and feels great.

It took about 2 weeks for my pain to be almost completely gone. I can not tell you if my other shoe was sized wrong, not as well made or what, but I can tell you for sure that I am glad I made the purchase.

I wear a 10. 5 US normally. I can tell you that the 10. 5 wide shoe I purchased is a snug fit. You will not be able to add additional supports. I hope this review is helpful in your decision.

After running a marathon last year, I developed pretty bad plantar fasciitis. I had been wearing a pair of old running shoes as my daily shoe, but they were getting worn down and so I started looking for an alternative daily shoe that would hold up to active, outdoor wear and be helpful for my plantar fasciitis pain.

I found Kuru through research, and decided to purchase a pair of the Chicane Mesh Plantar Fasciitis Shoes in Black/Red. I typically do not buy shoes online that I’ve already been wearing or tried on somewhere else, but based on my research and reviews I decided to take the chance, and I’m very glad I did.

I did follow the recommended break-in period by Kuru, wearing them about 3 hours per day for a week or so before wearing them full time. I’ve now been wearing them as my full time daily shoe, and they are very comforting for my plantar fasciitis pain.

They have a great cushion, and good arch support. They soles are heavier than I was used to since I had been wearing running shoes, but I got used to that pretty quickly. The primary drawback is that the heel of the shoe is low and looser than I prefer.

I have to tie them quite tightly for the heel not to slip, which in turn gets uncomfortable on the tops of my feet after wearing them for a while. Otherwise, I feel good about the purchase and would recommend them for someone looking for a solid daily use shoe that helps with plantar fasciitis pain.

Received today. I’ve worn it for approx 3 hours. Slight adjustment from my previous, basic “doctor’s office”, flat bottom shoe. Quality appears to be very good and the design is more conducive as to its intended purpose which for me is to support and stabilize a broken big toe.

Pleased with the purchase and will recommend to my physician as a replacement for those other shoes.

Great width. I have a extremely wide feet, also I’m in a W/C foot expands. Straps make it so much comforting than tying shoes laces over swollen foot. Very adjustable tell anyone that I see in similar situations about this product it brings so much comfort wide square front the perfect shoe for callused or wide feet protect front of toes as well.

I learned of OrthoFeet after researching good shoes for people with long toes. Although at only 5’3 I know little of long body parts, I inherited my 6’1 father’s long, luxurious toes — including his Morton’s toe, which leaves an annoying little hole in 80% of my socks — and have spent decades jealous of the tiny jelly beans other women have for toes instead of these sloth-like digits 🙂 The description about length warned that a size up would need to be ordered on this particular style, so while I’m normally a size 6.

5, I ordered them in a 7. The shoes are great, clearly designed and packaged with care, hence the 5 stars. Unfortunately, my feet are on the narrow side, so the medium width of a size 7 just felt too big.

My heel was threatening to slip out with every step, yet the toe box was barely long enough, so going any smaller in size would have compressed my toes into total discomfort. I played around with combinations of the two different spacers and heel support and different sock thicknesses to see what would make the sneaker feel snug enough not to threaten to fall off as I walked.

I finally found what works for me, including using a narrow-footed lacing pattern I found online that looks like a drunk toddler tied my shoes for me. They’re still slightly loose-feeling on the sides and heel, but they finally accommodate my toes, which has been a lifelong challenge, so I decided not to take advantage of OrthoFoot’s generous shipping and return policy.

I’m making the shoes work. But I appeal to OrthoFeet to keep those of us with long toes, but not necessarily large feet, in mind when designing future sneakers. I love the style, but either an extra long toebox or narrow size option would have created the perfect fit I’ve been seeking.

So far, only a brand called NurseMates has been able to make sneakers that fit me perfectly. I hoped OrthoFeet would be a new option. It’s really, really close.

I rarely write reviews but I feel I need to for these shoes. I have severely flat feet. My arches are always swollen and my feet always hurt. I’ve had many different types of expensive prescription orthotics and they never seem to help any more than the store bought ones to be honest.

This shoe is the most comfortable one I’ve had. The pain in the top of my foot is almost gone and the plastic inserts give me just enough support. My arches aren’t aching like they use to. I work at a Y as a wellness coach so I have a closet full of various workout shoes but these are my favorite and the only ones I want to wear anymore.

I bought the black, then the turquoise and will probably be buying the pink. They have truly been a game changer for me! Please continue to make more colors! I am a 9 and usually size up to a 9. 5 for athletic shoes but I probably could have sized up to a 10 and used the inserts they give you.

If you’re in between, I would suggest doing that.

I’m a hot mess. Foot pain, pronation, back pain, scoliosis, hip pain, and of course rotten, old arthritic knees (guess mama was right – I spent way too much time on them in my youth). Pardon me dirty man – I’m talking about 42 years of skating, hockey, cheerleading, paintball, basketball, volleyball, jumping off roofs – don’t ask why.

it takes it’s toll. Anyway – 50’s creep up and it got to where I couldn’t take my poor puppy around the block for a walk without feeling excruciating pain somewhere, everywhere. He was not a happy puppy.

I hit rock bottom on the activity scale – so I bought a pair of Verve’s – and “oh boy” that hit the spot! Within a few weeks, I was wearing out my Great Dane – going for miles and running him crazy around the dog park – sometimes twice a day.

Now, my Dane’s worn out, and I can’t get enough. No sir – you dirty, dirty man – from exercising. (ick). I’ve since bought Tahoe, Coral and Naples. And they’re all great. So much better than the “bums” I used to get.

But Verve. my my my. will always hold a very, very special place in my heart. I’ll definitely being hitting up Verve again.

I love these thongs. I have very narrow feet. These thongs which come in several colors can be adjusted to fit narrow feet. I’ve learned fro experience how to keep them clean. I highly suggest getting the footbed cleaner, otherwise, you’re going to have a black foot print on the footbefd which is quite embarassing when taking them off to get a pedicure.

Being in California I can were these sandals year round. I probably buy a new pair about every 4 years – unless you have a puppy and leave them at the door one night and she destroys 1 side. I punished myself for leaving them on the floor by waiting a few months before I replaced them LOL.

I used to buy inexpensive shoes – but my feet suffered. I will only buy SAS for the rest of my life. I will be buried with my Sanibels!!!!.

My ankle is held together with hardware after a bad break. I started wearing SAS about 8 months after surgery. Free Time has been my go to shoe but I really wanted a boot this year. Alicia at the Chattanooga store was wonderful and chose this one for me.

It looked a little clunky in the box but once I got it on and walked around it was just exactly what I wanted and needed. There is no break in period and it’s so comfortable right out of the box. The only suggestion I would make is to offer it in the Free Time Sage color / leather.

I’ve already ordered the brown.

I bought my first pair of Chicanes and when I tried them on they felt tight in the toes and loose in the midfoot and heel. There was so much pressure on the top of my toes I had to take them off right away, and returned them.

I so wanted a pair of Kuru shoes for outdoor use on trails in the woods, I kept reading the reviews. Others said the toe box of the Chicanes was roomy, so I thought perhaps I got an unusual pair, or perhaps my feet were sensitive the day I tried the Chicanes on.

So I ordered another pair. They still felt snug in the toes, but the sole felt absolutely amazing. I have severely arthritic feet and have been dealing with a debilitating achilles injury. While I was breaking in the Chicanes indoors I was amazed at the comfort and pain relief.

I could stand on my feet for hours in the kitchen and walk about the house with no foot pain. How wonderful! Unfortunately there is still pressure on the top of my foot in the forefoot area. Now that the shoes are broken in I am able to try them outside I have been very disappointed.

The sole is great, but there is no lateral support in the heel and midfoot so my foot constantly slides around in the shoe. I can only stand still or walk straight in these shoes. The Kuru Quest has the same issue with no midfoot or heel lateral support.

I own a pair of Kuru Quantums and the fit is fabulous. I wish they could make an outdoor hiker in leather like the Chicane, but with a broad and roomy toe box, and a more sleek and supporting fit through the midfoot and heel like the Quantum.

I have had numerous problems with finding shoes that don’t aggravate my bunionettes or my knee which was injured when breaking in another manufacturer’s hiking boots (followed by a pair of hiking shoes a couple of months later).

Browsing around the Internet, I saw numerous references to your shoes. After careful consideration, I submitted my order and my Kuru Chicanes arrived 8 days ago. Needless to say, I meticulously followed the instructions for breaking in my new Chicanes, wearing them around the house for a couple of hours every day for a week.

Today was D-Day. I was so nervous because the last thing that I wanted to do was to reinjure my knee. But I put them on and went outside for my first walk on pavement. I went a little over three miles and they were extremely comfortable.

I have been dealing with planters fasciitis and heel spur syndrome for over a year. Foot doctor fitted me with orthotics and I wore them for months with not much relief from pain. I researched your shoes but because I have tried so many other shoes that were supposed to be good for foot pain I was sceptical that yours would be any different.

Well frustrated that I wasn’t getting any relief from the pain I finally decided to give them a try. As it took a couple of weeks to work them in I am so very glad I switched to these shoes. Finally some relief from pain.

I am from Canada so the exchange rate made the shoes a little pricey right before Christmas but because they have the option to make 4 payments it was easy on the pocket book. Thank you so much for your shoes they are a godsend.

These will be my forever shoes from now on.

I had returned to street and concrete too soon after being in crutches for 7 weeks, and I strained the top of my foot. So I bought this brace to immobilize the top of my foot, and could instantly feel better.

I could stand for long hours, and even I was comfortable enough in it to walk! I had learned my lesson, and went to P. T. as ordered; but I am grateful I could get immediate comfort for the mistakes I made walking outside too soon after coming off of crutches by buying this excellent and comfortable leg brace.

Having worn walking boots many times (sigh) in my life I feel like I can give an honest review of this boot. I suppose for the price it is OK. My air release valve is very difficult to push correctly in order to release air in the boot, plus I have found the bottom front part of the boot to be a tad soft.

I had to add padding to the ball of the foot area to keep from experiencing pain on ball of my foot. In other words it fails in protecting your foot from the hard surface of the ground. Other than that the boot works fine.

I bought my braceAbility boot to replace what my orthopedist gave me. This brace is supporting my broken ankle and allows me to move as one is intended to move in one of these boots. It is facilitating my healing by providing comfortable support given the design and quality of the boot overall.

I cannot describe adequately how well this boot fits and the stability is amazingly good. I have osteoarthritis in my ankle and this helps me get around without as much pain as I normally have without a boot.

I am extremely pleased with this boot!.

The inflatable air liner did not work. Came with many pads but no instructions on what these pads are for. Instructions in general are poor. No phone number for mfr.

Good product and value. Comes useful when ankle is sprained or fractured. Will keep for future mishaps. (In the meantime, my dog has fun time with it).

I’ve had these for 3 months. I am an Amazon delivery driver & wear them for about 30 hrs a week. These saved me from pain in my knees, shins, upper legs, & back. I have most of my spine fused with titanium rods & no longer have pain in my body when I wear these.

I will be sore sometimes but no pain that is slowing me down. I would have quit my job months ago if I did not find these shoes, that’s how much they’ve helped me! I bought a different brand boot on Zappos & tried wearing those after wearing these for a few months & after 2 days, it caused SO much pain in my body, I was on the verge of quitting my job until I realized I needed to switch back to my kurus.

The second I put them back on, it felt like they were already healing my feet/body lol. The ONLY complaint I have is that the sole’s tread is not very thick at all. Which will make these not last as long as I would have liked them to, especially for paying almost $200 for them.

With the soles already wearing down after almost 3 months, (showing black under the once grey rubber) where the balls of my feet sit, I’m thinking I will have to buy 2 pairs per year if I stretch them out long enough.

Which makes me a bit a sad because the rest of the shoes are in great condition & work amazing. Is there any way you can get back to me about this or lmk if this normal?.

I received my boots in late October 2021. I have Morton’s Neuroma in my right foot and had been wearing another brand for several years with good success. They changed their models and narrowed the toe box and my last pair was unbearable to wear.

After much research I found Kuru and ordered a pair. It took a while to get them broke in but once they were it eliminated most of the pain. My job requires a great deal of walking and standing so pain reduction is imperative.

The sole at the heel of my boot wore through and separated from itself after 5 months and was leaking badly. Every time it rains my foot gets soaked. I was disappointed, but ordered another pair anyway because of the pain reduction.

I saw that Kuru offered a 6 month warranty so I put in a claim, but not expecting any resolution. All I can say is WOW!! I received a nearly immediate response and was issued a credit for a new pair which I have reordered.

Easily the most surprising, expedient, and satisfying customer service I have ever received. I figured it would merely be attributed to normal wear and tear, and I would not have quibbled although, I have never worn through a pair of boots that quickly and to that degree.

I was eyeing these shoes and thinking about buying them for a while before I pulled the trigger. I love my Atoms and I’ve also enjoyed my other hiking shoes from this brand. Unfortunately, these boots did not live up to my expectations.

Every time I wear them, regardless of what sort of socks I’m wearing, these rub badly on the backs of my heels and give me blisters if I wear them for long enough. I’ve now had them for over a year, and I’ve tried them many times with very little improvement to the comfort.

They’re also just really warm for some reason, which is uncomfortable considering that I can’t wear thin socks without my heels getting very torn up. I have a friend who also has these boots, and she loves them, so maybe it’s just something about the shape of my foot not being right for this shoe.

I really wish I had just received them when I first tried them out and got blisters, but I kept thinking I’d be able to break them in. These were a big miss for me unfortunately, even though I do like the style of them!.

After I ordered the air walker I received an email that concerned me. I called customer service, left a message, and never received a call back. I wear a size 7 ladies, and the small was a perfect fit.

As for the boot, I bought it for my plantar fasciitis. Unfortunately it will not work, as the air bladders are up above my ankle, instead of from the heel and up. The bladders do not fill up equally.

This could just be a defect in my boot. The left side fills up first, then the right side starts to fill up. The foot shield slides back throughout the day, exposing my toes, not good for a warehouse position.

After wearing this for almost a week, I wish the shield somehow connected to the boot so it didn’t move. Also, in the pictures, I thought this boot had three straps, one across the ankle. It does not, which I also need for my plantar fasciitis.

Again, my mistake, but I’m leaving this review for anyone needing one of these for heel or ankle stability. There is none. The top shield flexes, leaving the ankle completely mobile. I’m sure it’s a great boot for those who don’t need so many movement restrictions.

Comfort levels are good. Good cushioning and nothing pressed in uncomfortably. These comments are only for the low top walker, the high top may be different and better. I wouldn’t say don’t buy it, just know exactly what you need, and exactly what the boot will and will not do for you.

Finding this boot was the best thing that could’ve happened to me. I ruptured a ligament and tore two others. Because of this boot I was able to return to my job in a manufacturing facility and actually do my job without any handicaps.

I could do my job plus anything else I desired outside of work without injuring myself more, best investment ever in my opinion.

I like the toe guard and overall comfort of this boot. This is the second time I needed a boot, and the boots (different brand) my podiatrist’s office offered were too small or too large. Thank goodness I could get the Ossur boot online (yes, I had to pay out of pocket BUT worth every penny).

I wear a 8. 5 women’s shoe, and the Ossur size Small perfectly contains my orthotic and heel riser. This boot is very adjustable for all stages of support from initial injury through the healing process.

Runs VERY small with thin platform. Not good for stress fractures.

Very pleased that this works with a Rigid ASO brace since normal shoes, even wide width, won’t fit over it. Easy velcro closures and it’s comfortable all day.

Very comfortable, however the single-ended strap is more awkward to adjust than the double-ended straps on mesh top shoe. Able to drive a car with them on okay.

Shipping was quick, boot arrived and fits as expected. Came with instructions, extra cushions, and Velcro pieces. Air pump works great. Overall no issues great transaction. Sizing, women’s size 6. 5-7, ordered a small and it fits perfect.

I ordered this after the Instacare that I went to gave me an above the calf cast. It was dangerous to walk in, it hurt my ankle, ( which was the broken part) and it obviously wasn’t going to work for me… I felt that it made things WORSE.

So, I ordered your comfy boot, and I only need 3 more weeks of feeling like Frankenstein!.

humongous. i use two, when i walk they knock into each other. i had to put a thin pair of flup flop thongs inside because they are hard on bottom. but they are still serving the purpose needed

The black is my second pair of this style shoe and just as supportive as the first pair. I don’t wear the black pair as often as the grey pair with lime laces. The grey pair is everyday shoe and so they get more exposure going to the store, yard stuff, walking the dog etc.

The black pair I am using as a change of pace to go to dinner / look nicer. With that said the grey pair is, after a few months, just as supportive today as the first day I tried then on and the black pair is a super fit as well.

Usually when I have gotten a pair of tennis shoes (regulars from shoe store, online etc) they tend to not be supportive of my feet after about 3 mos. It is as though the shoe starts breaking down and the support is gone even though the shoe itself looks fine.

Both pair of these shoes are super supportive of me as I wear them all day long. I have bunions but only one foot was starting to bug me a bit. I was in a bad wreck with injuries a few years ago and ever since I must wear very foot supportive shoes mostly hiking boots which give me great stability and excellent support for my low beck and knees etc.

Walking on concrete was a nightmare for several years demanding excellent foot support. After all these many years of wearing hikers I though I would give OrthoFeet a try as I ran across them on line.

60 day guarantee I decided I had nothing to lose so I ordered the grey pair to see if this shoe was really all they claimed. I am so pleased with the shoes that honestly I can’t wait to put them on every day.

The other thing is the ortho inserts. With each pair of shoe I also purchased another ortho insert so I could put it into my other hikers. The ortho insert makes such a big difference for me. I also like the little heel support in there because I have an extremely narrow heel and a very wide toe.

At this point I am so very happy with these shoes especially for the hot summer time I highly recommend these. My feet have felt Incredibly good with these tennis like shoes and the shoes breath. My feet don’t get to hot.

I don’t think you could go wrong with them. I highly recommend these shoes – Coral Stretch Knit Black / Grey with Lime laces.

I honestly love these shoes. I had Puma’s and Under Armour shoes prior to these, and I felt like the way the shoe was shaped, that my foot was always pointing at an angle in the shoes. I found these online and purchased them on a whim because I thought nothing could be worse than what I was already dealing with in regards to my tennis shoes/sneakers.

I’m on my feet all day, everyday because I work in manufacturing engineering and these sneakers ROCK. All the extras they give you are just amazing. You get 2 different thicknesses of spacers in case you have feet that aren’t as thick height wise, they give you added arch support (which I use and LOVE) and they give you 2 different types of laces.

My only issues with these shoes is that I am using the laces that you push the plastic piece down on to tighten, and the plastic cap on the end of the laces that hold both ends together already came off one shoe and I can’t get it back on.

But this does not at all affect the wearability of the shoe or its functionality. They are still awesome, very comfortable and extremely sturdy. This is the first set of sneakers I have had in a really long time that actually keep my feet warm and dry.

They are not paper thin like most sneakers these days. These are STURDY shoes, but still flexible so you don’t feel like you are in boots or something. If you are debating these shoes, get a pair. You won’t be disappointed.

I have wide feet and the normal width fits great. I usually have to buy men sneakers because of this but these shoes are fabulous.

I know this is going to seem silly and I would have NEVER believed this if I wouldn’t have experienced it myself. But these shoes straight up changed my life. My feet started hurting a couple of years ago, and I was told it was plantar fasciitis.

My left foot the whole entire foot hurt, especially the top of the main bone and even my ankle. My right foot it was mostly my heel. But over the last several months it had gotten so bad that it hurt to walk and I had a limp.

I’d try to hold on to whatever I could when walking just to keep as much pressure off. I even have several different pairs of insoles made specifically for PF that I wore every day. I ordered these shoes (after researching and trying to find things to help) because of the reviews and them being made to help with plantar fasciitis.

I put them on as soon as they came in and I felt some relief. The next day I put them on when I woke up and by the end of the day I was very uncomfortable and was thinking they weren’t going to work for me but I had read that it takes up to ten days for them to contour to your feet so I continued to wear them.

Every waking minute! By the third or maybe fourth day I could walk with NO pain what’s so ever. I had energy and was/am able to stay up all day and I’m getting so much done! Looking back my quality of life was pretty much nonexistent and it’s crazy to me that it was all because my feet hurt so bad and I was in so much pain.

I literally didn’t want to do anything other than sleep because that was the only time I wasn’t in pain. And being a homeschooling momma of 4 that definitely wasn’t good. Once the pain was gone I was able to do so much more that I never really knew how much I was suffering and letting myself and duties go until then.

I ordered the slippers for wearing in the house. They don’t give me absolute relief like the shoes do but they are good for quick slipping on and off and they do take away most of the pain. But these tennis shoes are still my “go-to” and I wear them every single day.

Most of the time as soon as I wake up until I go to bed at night, but other times like on lazy staying at home days I’ll just put the slippers on. If you suffer from pain from Plantar fasciitis then do yourself a favor and GET THESE SHOES! Give it a few days of wearing them to get your feet used to them and you absolutely won’t regret it!!!.
