20 Best Shoe For Planters Fasciitis (2023 Updated)

We initially ordered our Fitville trainers pre-Xmas…. they duly arrived but come up very big, so we asked to return and replace. The return charge was excessive and they did not have the same trainer in stock in a smaller size….

I tried a different colour but same stock issue. I finally received this alternative pair a few weeks ago, which are great but I am still fuming about the return delivery charge…. to Germany or alternatively pay an additional £30 and keep the wrong pair !.

Size 9. 5 U. K. 4E wide, high top rebound, ankle support is good for me. I have struggled with arthritic feet and walking was extremely difficult but now I walk our dog and I can walk 3 miles before the dog gets tired.

However I also ordered the same size rebound without the high top and they are slightly tight on the width, the soles are exactly the same size.

I purchased these in my “regular” size – 10W. Am very thankful QVC seems to have great shoes in sizes for people with larger and wider feet. I tried this shoe because I have metatarsus adductus – c-curved feet.

It was never corrected when I was a child and I only discovered the issue after I went to a podiatrist. Typically finding supportive, fashionable shoes is a royal annoyance. I have to wear custom orthotics.

Saw these and thought I would give them a try. As I was working out in them the big toe on my left foot kept bumping into the front of the shoe–hmmm. too small. But I liked all the other aspects of fit and comfort.

Sooooooooo I decided to try another pair in a 1/2 size larger. PERFECT workout shoe! I’m keeping both pairs. So if you are like me consider sizing up a 1/2 size in these. Other than that I have never had such a comfortable supportive shoe that fits my custom orthotics beautifully! Thank you, GDEFY!!! Now if you only made shoes other than athletic ones with the same support comfort.

I rarely write reviews but use them myself extensively, so I really have to submit one about these shoes. I have high arches and always get arch pain and other foot problems when walking. Not with these.

These are by far the most supportive and comfortable walking shoes (including sneakers and hiking boots!) I have ever worn. They provide several different orthotic inserts that you can try separately or put them all together, and this is the key.

You must try the different variations to get just the right fit and level of support you are looking for (read the instructions!). I ended up using all of the orthotics together and do not get the heal pain from walking that I would always get from other shoes (even Keen hiking boots, which I love, and Skechers Archfits, which I also love).

Just try them!.

I am pleased with these Mighty Walk shoes in most respects. I love the interchangeable insoles and quickly went for the “Corrective” one with arch support. They have a substantial sole, good for walking on cobblestones and not feeling every little pebble as in typical athletic shoes.

They have a very roomy toe box, which is terrific. I find them a wee bit short, and I had to go up not one but two sizes from my normal to not feel my toes touching the front inside. They are advertised as having a slight rocker bottom, but I dispute that (having worn MBTs for years).

There is a separate layer of heel material set in from the outer edge of the sole, rather than a smooth sole from heel to toe, making an odd roll-through. The light blue/grey color is reasonably neutral.

The “x-wide” Stride Core worked quite well for my particular foot problems. I tried the “wide” fit first, and it was a bit too tight. However, the “x-wide” provided a little more width and height in the toe box.

The shoes are very comfortable, and I’ve been able to wear them most of the day. I was concerned that the heel might be too loose on the “x-wide,” but so far so good. Proper socks are important. I wear Maggie’s Organics merino wool socks which tend to stay up on the ankle even with the wider fit.

Very good customer service from FitVille as well.

Super comfy and I think very stylish in that deconstructed way. Comfy but not in a pillowy soft way like my new Adidas shower slides. The support is not like a wooden clog but could use a bit more cush….

That being said it is the only close toe shoe I can wear right now. NICE BIG TOE BOX. Was able to put additional insoles in. Also the insoles it came with remove easily it you just want ti go your own way….

I’m pregnant and my feet started to swell super bad and I couldn’t fit into any of my shoes. I wanted something to be able to slip on and have plenty of room when my feet got big. I ordered a size up to be on the safe side and so glad I did! They are super comfortable and the arch support is excellent.

They are a wide shoe but they are perfect in my case. Once the swelling goes down they will be to big. I will be ordering more for sure!.

Just received the gray wool shoes. First off they are very lightweight, not heavy or bulky. Very comfortable walking, very supportive. I like the 3 support bars, haven’t tried removing any. I have a slight foot drop condition, did not experience that with these shoes.

I bought a pair of these for my husband and myself (in red) and we both love the comfort, support and they are cool looking. I will add, we initially had a problem develop with the wool material and customer service replaced them immediately.

I would recommend both the shoe and Therafit!.

These were a gift. We initially didn’t quite have the right size with the 10. However, I ordered the next size up and they are working much better. He does a lot of walking at work and these are working out well.

So I was a little wary at first of buying shoes online, but I have severe arthritis in my left knee from severe hemophilia A, and I’d dropped a local ortho shoe place because their quality just went to crap.

I am blown away by the quality of these shoes. Most shoes require a break-in period where your foot and the shoe have to learn to get along, these feel absolutely comfortable from the first moment that you put them on.

I can’t believe how cushiony it feels to walk in these, it literally feels like you’re walking on clouds! You need as much shock compression as you can get when your knee has no cartilage, and I’m sure it’s helped my back some too.

Frankly, anyone that’s on their feet for a long time would benefit from these. I even bought a pair for my brother (works in a warehouse, has back issues), and I know he loved them because as soon as he put them on he didn’t take them off, and forgot he was wearing them.

I can’t say enough. Buy these shoes.

I would say Orthofeet goes the extra mile in making sure they offer a well made shoe. The added insoles are a great idea in the event the shoe has more room than needed to fit the feet. I didn’t need them but I did add the arch support.

Have worn them for my daily power walks as well as around the house. They’ve worked out perfectly. My only reason for four stars rather than five is that somehow I missed these shoes have accents of what looks like patent leather.

Not a fan of the shiny. Guess it works for others. I will read the description and study the photos a little more carefully before ordering next time. Other than that one thing I can highly recommend these shoes.

Having had a decades-long history of ill-fitting shoes that did not promote good foot health I finally discovered Kuru shoes. Pace is one of eight pairs of Kuru shoes that I have purchased over the past few years.

I first purchased the ankle-height, laced Kuru (apparently no long offered) for the advertised foot support which I loved, then the Kivi for everyday use, the Pace for summer more formal use, two pairs of Chicanes for fall-ish outdoor activies, one Atom for the “Y”, one Current for everyday summer actives, and I now have on order the Kala for beach.

I am, as you might guess, eliminating almost all other brands. Why? Because Kurus shoes are perfect for me. The fit, feel, style, quality and multiplicity of uses and applications fit my varied lifestyle of which there is no peer.

I highly recommend them and the company. The bonus: No more foot pain.

After reading other reviews, I decided to give these a try. Most of the other KURU shoes I’ve purchased have been great but one just wasn’t right for me. I bought these as house shoes and they are good for that.

I’m not crazy about the sole but it was only a problem on a wet tile floor. The collapsing heel function is okay for hobbling down to breakfast but not comfortable enough for wear all day. The shoe is designed around that function, so it has a loose heel, higher arch and tighter instep.

That’s okay for indoors but I wouldn’t want that feel out and about as a casual shoe. The wider heel also negates part of that famous KURU contoured heel that some of us need. A good shoe, but know what is good for and what it’s not.

This was my second pair of KuRu shoes. The first pair, without any break in, I wore for six days straight averaging 5-10 miles a day. They were so comfortable I took a chance on a second pair in a different style.

The second pair bombed. They were the same size that I have worn for over 20 years but were not “tall” enough across the bridge of my foot and causes severe pain and discomfort. I launched them back to Kuru.

Their excellent customer service took care of me, I order a different pair to try and shall see. So my review covers the amazing build quality of a shoe I did not like coupled with superb customer service.

Bought these for my son who suffers from plantar fasciitis. They have great support and has helped ease the pain and are comfortable. The only issue is the sizing. He is usually a size 10 but these were too large so a size 9.

5 was recommended. I exchange them for the smaller size and still they were larger than he needed. I would suggest sizing a whole size down when purchasing.

I wear these to work daily. I am walking on a concrete surface and moving the entire time, and am diabetic – so durable, well fitting and comfortable shoes are a must. To my dismay, I found that part of the gray/silver support in my right shoe came apart in pieces inside the shoe.

For the money I invested, I feel the quality is lacking.

They looked good on, but my husband didn’t find them comfortable enough. He typically wears a 12. 5/13, ordered these in a 13, and said they were too tight. 13 is the largest size available so we had to return.

I have been wearing the vionics Plantar Fasciitis Orthopedic Shoes for approximately 5 years now. I had 4 pairs and just purchased a 5th pair. I wear them essentially every where. Cutting the grass with a power push mower, exercising rowing, biking and walking, for casual wear going to the grocery , on social occasions etc.

I found their support to be superior to any other products. I have all the original shoes but even though I have definitely put many miles on the shoes. The most recent purchase is to soon replace the shoes worn for exercising.

My one critical comment about a very well constructed supportive shoe is the length of the shoe laces. They are too long and represent a tripping threat. That is the reason why I can’t give them a five star rating.

I purchased this shoe in white a few years back for my husband who suffers from flat feet and plantar fasciitis. I ordered a half size up as recommended and the shoes fit perfectly. My husband loved the fit and was able to spend all day on his feet at work without pain or discomfort.

The shoes were starting to show their age from daily wear, so I ordered a new pair, this time in black. Same shoe, same size, different color. The black shoes were so tight my husband couldn’t even get his foot in the shoe.

We returned the black shoes and reordered in white. Same shoe, same size, perfect fit.

Shoes fit well, improve my posture, reduced substantially the soreness in the joint of one of my feet that has progressive arthritis,. and was at a reasonable cost for the pair of shoes. This is the third pair of shoes purchased from Hammacher Schlemmer over the past number of years that I have been very pleased with their quality, wearability, fit and appearance.

I have a wide toe box but very narrow ankles so I am glad the shoes are adjustable with the straps. I was afraid they would rub and blister when I first wore them but they have not, even when wearing them for a longer time period! They are a little hard in the heel but I have yet to figure out the adjustable things in the heel so I may be able to soften that by removing one of the peg things.

(Have not taken the time to read up on that yet. ) All in all I’m pleased. I have plantar fasciitis issues with my left foot so supportive shoes are super important to me. So far so good!.

These sandals are great! I have very painful feet. I had worn out all my shoes and needed to shop for new. I never really look forward shopping for shoes because there are not a lot or we’ll fitting shoes out there (especially for problem feet) in the local stores.

I happened to see the ad for Therafit and after reading about the technology and a lot of reviews for different styles I decided it was worth it to try them. I am so glad I did! They are such a comfort to my feet.

I can walk without pain (in the sandals as well as the Oxford style) The Oxford style I bought comfort my feet just sliding them on before I even get out of the chair. I am so glad I gave them a try.

I won’t have to look for another brand that do well for my feet because there are so many choices here. They have stylish boots and some wide sizes as well! Thank you Therafit for making such wonderful technology! P.

S. In the survey I selected that width are true to width. My feet are not the least bit wide, but also not narrow. I noticed in a lot of the reviews people stated that the shoes were narrow. I believe they are true to width but they do fit like a glove and form to my feet in reference to the Oxford style I bought.

I debated a long time about buying a pair of TheraFit shoes. It is a lot of money for a pair of shoes (for me). After trying out several other shoes, and getting blisters on my feet on trips, and sore feet, swollen ankles, and an achy back, I thought I would just do it, and so I ordered the navy Charlotte sandals.

I tested them out on a Sbusy Sunday. I am a church singer at 2 different churches, and was on my feet 6 hours that day. Usually, my the end, my shoes are off and I am barefoot and can’t wait to get off my feet.

But my first real test of my Therafit shoes had my feet so comfortable all day, I totally wasn’t thinking about my feet at all! Last week was the REAL test. My child had a national dance competition in Las Vegas – long days and LOTS of walking.

MY FEET DIDN’ T HURT the WHOLE TRIP! I had NO blisters, I had NO backache, I had NO swollen ankles at the end of each day. Other trips like this with other shoes, I was sometimes in tears by the end, with my feet totally torn up.

I love these sneakers. At first, I was concerned that they were too large, but wearing a short sock makes them very comfortable. Was concerned that the back was high and would rub the back of my ankle, but they do not.

Very comfortable. I walk miles daily wearing them with no problem. Easy to slip on and can be tightened or loosened with the decorative shoelace if necessary. Ample footbed, great arch support. No toe crunching.

I have the peach and will order more colors.

My sister blessed me with the burgundy Carly Sneaker for my birthday. They were so very very comfortable and elegant that I quickly went to the website to purchase another pair for myself. This Angie slip-on sneaker I selected felt like clouds on my feet.

so light. The tie dye color was exactly what I was looking for because the colors matched a couple of jogging suits I have, However, when I walked the back of the shoe flopped off of my heel with every step I took.

I really loved everything about that shoe but due to my narrow heel/ankle, the fit just did not work for me. I STILL LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT SHOE!.

I just received my first pair of shoes from this company. I just discovered the inserts which are wonderful and right away I ordered these shoes. They felt way too big and the rims are too high and rubbed my ankles.

I put another pair of regular inserts inside underneath the eatrex inserts to raise my feet and they work. I am just wondering how to keep my heels from popping out? The fabric at the back of the heel is too slippery.

Any suggestions? Not sure if I will keep them.

These are my ‘around the house’ shoes. They provide great comfort and flexibility. I sometimes wear compression socks with regular socks, and sometimes just regular socks. Sometimes I have minimal swelling, and sometimes more.

So these shoes allow me to adjust the straps to whatever is going on as each day goes on. In addition, the fit and overall comfort is actually a treat. And may I mention, that when I refer to ‘regular socks’, I am referring to the OrthoFeet Casual/Dress socks.

They too are sooo comfortable. I will be writing a separate review on them.

A few years ago (43) I broke my ankle. A few years ago I broke my big toe and a metatarsal while walking my dog on uneven ground in non-supportive soft-sided shoes. This has been a problem for me and I actually have been in physical therapy and trying to avoid surgery on the joint by my big toe.

I bought these Sanibel shoes and they really are comfortable. They have been a huge blessing to me because most shoes are not comfortable. I love walking and these shoes are helping me to walk without pain.

Physical Therapy is helping also.

Suffering from chemo induced neuropathy, I frantically searched for a shoe that would allow me to begin walking in order to gain strength. All of my shoes allowed my toes to slide around, causing pain.

The Sanibels were perfect after adding the arch support and one insert! No toe movement, very little pain while walking. And they are stylish maryjanes, not clunky sneakers. I can walk several miles with no ill effects.

This is a brand I have never heard of so I very hesitant to purchase these sneakers. But, am I glad I did! I have rheumatoid arthritis, so I need a good solid sneaker with support. These are probably the best running sneakers I have ever worn! I love that they removable insoles and come with an extra pair.

Also, they have wide widths! I wore them right out of the box and went for a 4 mile run/walk and had no issues afterwards! No pain in my feet or anywhere else. I like them so much I went a bought the other style to try out.

I’ve had these for a couple of weeks now. I’m so happy with these shoes. Even though they are running shoes, they are also great for walking. I’ve walked paved as well as dirt trails in them without my usual foot pain kicking in after a couple miles.

They also look nice as well. Very glad I purchased these.

Just standing, these feel great. However once you walk the back is too short so they slide off like a flip flop as you walk. I don’t understand why the backs are so much shorter than they appear in the photo.

I do love the different inserts it comes with which make it worth the cost but needs a higher ankle especially with such a heavy shoe.

I have a high instep, high arch, wide foot (D-E), and am in my mid-60s with a history of obesity. I had plantar fasciitis a few years ago, briefly. I moved to zero drop thickly padded shoes back then, which worked.

Then, In winter 2020, my PF reappeared. I was on my feet working overtime a lot, including concrete floors, and by April 2021 I could barely walk. Throbbing heel pain at night kept me awake and agonizing pain first thing in the AM.

My left heel was the worst, as the PF migrated up into my left Achilles. During spring 2021, I tried a lot of brands and pads, alone and in combination. What finally worked was an Orthofeet sneaker PLUS a Dr.

Scholl’s PF insole. I think I needed the extra PF insole because my left heel had been aggravated for a year. (I have also lost 60 lb since spring 2021) With this combination, I have obtained complete relief; no heel/Achilles pain no matter how long the day.

Wearing the Orthofeet sneaker + Dr. Scholl’s PF insole is more comfortable than any other shoe or being barefoot. If I notice heel pain, I put on my Orthofeet sneakers and it immediately goes away. As the weather turned wintry here in the Midwest, I decided to try this Orthofeet boot, first WITHOUT the added Dr.

Scholl’s PF insole, but ended up adding one. I certainly hope this combination of items from two different companies continues to be available, as I have spent HUNDRED$ trying to find what works, and this works.

Got size 2 Xwide and they were perfect. Walked 4 miles in the boots first time on without one issue. I have a bunion and the wide toe box provides for that. We had several inches of snow within a week of getting the boots so they have been exposed to snow/slush/I also like to walk the beach so they have been exposed to both sand and salt water.

My feet have remained totally dry. My hope is that they will continue to perform at the same level for some time. This is the 2nd pair of footwear that I have ordered from Orthofeet, and again, I am very impressed with customer communication from the company in regard to shipping and updates.

I can see this company being my “go to” for footwear in the future. Hopefully, they will maintain their current level of excellence and not “slack off” as so many others have done in the current climate in the U.

This is my 2nd pair of Winter boots from Orthofeet. I bought these because of the waterproof feature. I’ve been wearing Orthofeet shoes for about a year. I have a stand up job and about 3 months after I started I needed shoes for being on my feet all day.

After searching around, Orthofeet was one of many brands that I considered getting but, with Orthofeet things felt different about the shoes before I decided to get my 1st pair. I decided to get them and I’ve been very pleased.

I wear into my shoes fast but, in this case the insoles will wear down faster than the show will, so I’m buying more insoles than shoes. I try to get a new pair of shoes every 6 months. I’ve always preferred comfort to looks.
