20 Best Shoe For Nerve Damage (2023 Updated)

My job requires me to visit customers that require safety shoes. Over that past 15 years, I have tried many brands and styles. While some were more comfortable than others, they all left my feet hurting at the end of the day, often with blisters on my toes from the safety toe cap.

I ordered the Cobalt safety shoe as I had good luck with other OrthoFeet shoes I have. WOW! I wore them all day the first day with no issues or pain. I had planned to wear them for a few hours then change, but I completely forgot I had safety shoes on.

I also like that the have more tread than the regular shoes without being heavy. Not to start an argument with anyone, but these are lighter than every other safety shoe I have used over the last 15 years years except one.

These shoes are a surprise in the sense that I did not expect to be as delighted by them as I have been. I’ve had my share of foot problems over the years (e. g. , plantar fasciitis first in one and then the other foot; callouses; torn plantar plate most recently; and other issues) and usually it was just rest and lots of time before walking discomfort went away.

These Orthofeet shoes didn’t immediately make all pain go away but it did lessen it and eventually helped with speeding my recovery without having to commit myself to an easy chair for weeks. which would have driven me crazy as I am a fairly active guy.

I am so pleased with how well these shoes make my feet feel and also that they look smart enough to easily match my work dress of “work casual” without compromise. I will very likely purchase another one of these before my originals give out and perhaps even a third with a different styling!.

I was attracted to the rose-colored Francis No-Tie walking shoe first because of the pretty color. I wanted something comfortable for walking that looked in style. I’ve started attending an exercise class in the past two years – and have been trying to find shoes that I can wear all day and will “fit in” with what the other women have on.

I’ve gotten compliments on the style and color of these shoes. I feel cheerful having pink feet! But more importantly is the fit and comfort of these shoes. Anyone with problem feet recognizes how valuable that is.

If your feet are miserable, then your whole body is miserable. These shoes fit spectacularly! I’m impressed with Orthofeet’s spacers and arch supports they include with every shoe. You can adjust the combination of them to make your shoes fit perfectly.

My foot problem is having ‘hammertoes’. The wide and high toe-box has solved the problem of getting wounds on top of my toes as I do in shoes from other companies. Because I have diabetes, I have to protect my feet from getting any wounds.

I like the combination of materials on the outside of the Francis No-Tie walkers, especially the stretchable knit upper. My toes and heels are not getting rubbed raw. I am talking about these new shoes to everyone I know.

I have severe PF and I have tried quite literally everything to find some sort of relief. I was hesitant about these shoes because I am 41 years old and every other review was from a Grandma. I was worried about the “hipness” of these shoes.

I was pleasantly surprised when they came! They look pretty hip except for the Ortho Feet stitched on the back. However, most people don’t notice that. The shoes are very comfortable. I stand for about 4-6 hours every day at my job on a hard floor.

They have really helped my feet. I have been wearing these for almost a month and even though I still have pain every day, it has lessened quite a bit. The other thing I love is the no tie. They fit nicely and don’t slip on my feet.

I believe they are true to size. I wear a size 8 and I got an 8 wide and they fit perfectly.

Am delighted to have found the brand of footwear. Have purchased other shoes from their product line and am well satisfied. They have a great selection of styles and colors to choose from.

I bought the Delta Black Waterproof shoes and they are absolutely marvelous. I have severe Achilles tendonitis and have done PT and Shockwave treatments to try to break up the scar tissue. The latter seems to be working, but I am still in a wait and see.

However, these shoes make it seem like I am cured. Extremely comfortable from first try. I am wearing orthotics in them, but really like the extra footbeds and arch supports that are included. Sizing was just right.

The wide toebox and depression for heel spurs (which I also have a tendency for) is great too. Highly recommend!.

I had no idea when I bought these that they would be so comfortable. I was trying to replace a pair of shoes that had memory foam in them. These turned out to be far more comfortable. Sometimes I have to look down to make sure I am not wearing my house shoes out the door to work.

If you are looking for some comfortable shoes then these are the ones. I love these shoes.

I have a lot of foot issues, 4 surgeries and walk kinda gimpy due to Parkinsons. I find these help keep my bad foot from turning out sideways when I walk. not sure why but guessing something to do with the insert, support etc? And the wide toe box is gentle on my sore toes.

Important thing is they are comfortable and help me walk better!.

I was beyond skeptical if these would actually work, these are fantastic! My feet feel amazing in them. Long time delivery driver and have suffered from plantar fasciitis and heel Spurs for years. These help dramatically.

Discovered this brand through National Pedorthic Services and bought 2 pair of this style: deep blue and chestnut brown. I would prefer to consider other colors than black. Maybe a shade of grey? This shoe turned out to be a winner for my orthotic and toes.

These shoes are really working well for me but getting old, especially the blue pair which is older. So I am inquiring about one or two new shoes of this design. Also, I don’t know how to answer the width question.

Very comfortable shoes for anyone that have problem feet. I have tried other shoes but none have been as comfortable as these shoes. I have flat feet, bunions, corns, hammer toes Calsus and sensitive feet.

Also these shoes are suitable for people who have a normal heel fitting and can be worn without fear of the foot slippy out of the shoe.

This Mary Jane style shoe is extremely comfortable. great for women with wide feet and large feet. wesr and tear? They last forever if u take care of them. look new after wearing them for couple years.

if u have tired feet and a wide foot and have trouble finding size 11 or 12 fit with comfort. u must buy these shoes. u won’t be sorry. thry will last a very long time. i have used mine in nursing gardening.

in mud in dirt in working outdoors and still they remain in tact.

These are great, comfortable shoes. Great quality and very stylish for todays trends. I bought a pair that have no back as well for house shoes. These I use for lazy days out. Keep in mind that if you are going to wear socks with these, they fit as expected but, if you are going to wear these without socks, I would get a half size smaller as they are a bit loose without socks.

This also depends on how you like you shoes to fit. If you like them floppy loose, then order normal. If you like your shoes to fit normal, (not quite snug but close to snug) then go with the half size smaller.

Either that, or spray the top down with water and let them air dry. The fabrics will shrink a bit and feel a bit tighter.

The arch support is minimal. It’s basically just a slight bump that sticks up in the middle of the shoe. Can take some getting used to, but they are fairly comfortable once you do. Definitely better than being barefoot if you have plantar fasciitis.

They are very lightweight and good to wear in the warmer weather. The soles are solid and can be worn outdoors without worrying about stepping on a rock. I wish they had more arch support, but overall I’m pleased with the shoes and wear them often.

Really upset with my podiatrist. I have diabetic neuropathy in my feet. He fitted me with some shoes and custom orthotics. My foot was supported but still had pain In my feet. I put these on and the pain was reduced significantly.

I was able to walk with so much less pain. I found it hard to believe that a generic orthopedic shoe was night and day better than my custom orthotics. I’d recommend these for anybody to get more support.

I just they hold up well.

These shoes are like walking on a cloud. That said, I’m having trouble getting them “dialed” in. I’ve tried the inserts first on both feet then on the right only then on the left only and it just seems I can’t get long term, as in all day, relief from knee, hip, foot pain.

Not all at the same time. Changing out the inserts moves the pain around and for now it just a matter of which combination is the most bearable. I’m in no way faulting the shoes. At least I can make adjustments/alterations unlike a couple of other pairs of shoes I alternate with.

If bunions are your problem, like they are part of mine, the toe boxes in these shoes are a blessing. They definitely solved that problem for me. I recently started some pretty strenuous exercises and that’s when my problem, knee/hip, pain, showed up on an on going basis.

But. my knees feel the best they do all day immediately after exercising. I’m continuing to modify my exercise routings that now include knee pain exercises. It seems to be getting better but like always – Time is the teller of all.

I would buy these shoes again and do recommend them.

50 years of high intensity cycling have left me with metatarsalgia and the formation of a bunion. Recently some unusual swelling has made it impossible to wear almost any of my shoes without cutting slits in them across the metatarsal region (helps a lot).

I was a bit overgenerous in picking out a size and width of Edgewaters, but greatly appreciate the first pair of shoes I’ve owned that are truly “wide” and caused no pain while going through this episode.

Choosing a half size larger than my normal 9, and “extra wide” (4E) for my “D” foot was a bit overkill, but now I know I’m prepared if the swelling I experienced reoccurs. It’s nice to know there is a company that understands the need for a wide last.

Perhaps if I’d had cycling shoes with a truly wide last (good luck finding them) starting 50 years ago, I would never have needed these. Very few shoe manufacturers understand the need for a wide toe box as a matter of course, and I don’t care how narrow or wide your feet actually are.

This goes double for any sort of athletic footwear.

My husband has hard to fit feet (8. 5 EEE with very high instep) and is dealing with pain now due to gout, and none of the shoes he’s worn in the past are comfortable anymore. I found OrthoFeet and hoped it might be a solution for him.

I bought this shoe in February along with the Stride shoes, where the Stride shoes wasn’t for me this shoe was the answer to my prayers. I work in retail and I was in agonizing pain to the point that I couldn’t walk or stand on my feet for the 4 to 5 hours a day that I worked.

I literally had to quit that job and went back to my old job which was still on retail but not standing on concrete floors, my feet still hurt so I tried these shoe and oh my god what a difference from the first day I wore them to work my feet DID NOT HURT.

I literally work eight hour shifts now and my feet doesn’t hurt. The company recommended that you not wear them the whole day when starting off but I had no choice but to wear them all day, no pain at all.

It’s now August if 2022 and in July my feet started hurting again while wearing this shoe which I attributed to my foot problems, flat feet, bunions and overpronation and I could see that my shoe was wearing unevenly, so I purchased the Kuru Quantum this time, where I like the Quantum, it’s not as good has the Kinetic.

I would definitely recommend the Kuru Kinetic shoe to anyone that has severe foot problems. If there was one thing I would change on the Kuru Kinetic and other shoes it would be to put a heel tag on the back of the shoe, so it would be easier to slide into without having to unlace it so much, I found that my shoe would bend in on the heel as I tried to put it on, but I still give this shoe and overwhelming five stars.

Having already purchased two pairs of the Kuru Quantum sneakers, I was looking into a supportive shoe as well that wasn’t a sneaker. The Quantum helped me with my toe numbness and knee/back pain, so based on the good reviews, I decided to try the Kinetic shoe.

I liked these so much that I purchased a second pair. I can say that ALL of them are nothing short of AWESOME! Yes, they are a little pricey but when you see them in person, you can tell the quality of the workmanship and materials that go into making them.

That, plus how amazing they feel on your feet, which most definitely reduced the pain I was experiencing, make them well-worth the price. If I had to state one complaint, it’s that they are a little warm and not very breathable.

My feet sweat wearing them and I think adding some holes into the leather would help with this. But overall, the arch support is excellent, the toe box is very roomy, and the shoes are extremely comfortable.

I am a consistent Size 7 regular width and these were right on the money.

I cannot wait for my size to come back in stock (8 wide) in white because my feet are obsessed with these shoes. For the last decade working in the food and beverage industry I had never experienced foot pain.

The last year I decided to stay one step ahead and find a shoe that would be good for my body. So I found kuru kuru. I used the shoe and it was the best shoe I had ever bought. Recently I had to toss mine out due to being completely worn down to the bone.

My size has been sold out for a while and I thought I’d buy something else while I wait for them to come back in stock. While wearing these other shoes, I am experiencing intense heel pain. I did not know that it was a symptom of plantar fasciitis.

I am 29 years old and didn’t think that would be in my cards till much later but with how much I am on my feet, I guess it makes sense. So now I bought a half size larger than I normally am just to at least have these shoes in my hands because I NEVER had pain wearing these bad boys.

Hubby started getting diabetic shoes a few years ago. The difference is the insoles that Dr. comfort makes! You can actually take them out and put them in other cities. Our insurance pays for one pair per year.

He really likes these shoes. We even bought him sandals. 🇺🇸✝️.

I ordered three pairs of Dr. Comfort Performance X Men’s Double Depth Casual Shoes, sizes 6 1/2,7, and 7/12 as my 11-year-old son wears AFO in the Left shoe. They are high quality, AFO is easy to insert and they are easy to take on and off.

We use a blue insert on the right as his left leg is slightly shorter. They are also very light. Highly recommend!.

I bought it because my orthopedic surgeon recommended it post-op, after coming out of the boot. I believe he was trying to save me money because it was such a temporary item, but I couldn’t tolerate the discomfort.

It felt like stiff cardboard without cushioning. If you can tolerate the lack of cushioning, the good part is that it’s adjustable. My foot was more swollen when I first needed it than it is now, so the straps make it possible to fit snugly as the swelling from surgery goes down.

This shoe is so helpful post op ankle fracture. My athletic shoe squeezed my foot causing swelling and pain. The Darco shoe makes it better, lots of space, more comfort. Got another Darco shoe for the other foot so I will be level.

You will be glad you got them while recupurating!.

I’ve historically had a lot of spasms and swelling in my feet. Since using the infrared treatment in these slippers I’ve had better circulation and less swelling and spasms. I use them for about 15 minutes a day and always notice an improvement after each session.

I highly recommend these slippers to anyone suffering from foot injuries or ailments. They have really improved my condition.

Need a bit more guidance on how this is supposed to help my feet; I don’t notice anything different while using it or after using it.

I like these a lot. Haven’t had them long enough to know their effect on daily pain, but they feel wonderful when I’m using them.

My feet are terrible and I need full-foot support, not just sole-support. I have tried the meshy/knit sneakers (Francis and Coral styles) and those didn’t last very long (barely 6 months). Those are great for sole-support only.

Then I saw the Whitney and with it being all-leather, went for it. The leather is stiff enough to be something akin to a foot brace. Its like Spanx for your feet! The Whitney took only 1. 5 weeks to break in (essentially heel realignment) but the overall foot felt better immediately.

Conclusion: if you only need sole-support, feel free to try out either the leather or the meshy style sneakers. If you need something akin to a foot brace (like an ankle brace feels on a sprained ankle), go for an all-leather style.

I also prefer the lace-ups. The no-tie work fine, but they can get loose and I ended up tightening them a bunch every day anyway (because my feet are so bad–probably wouldn’t have noticed it if I was just looking for sole support).

So laces it is. I never take these off. I would sleep in them if I could. Since they’re white with some designs on the side, they look like standard sneaks, and not like nurse shoes. I’m pretty confident I will wear Whitneys every day here on out until the day I die.

I am elated to report my extreme happiness with this purchase. I had ordered these shoes from a desperation position. Having battled neuropathy pain for the past two years, I was in need of any level of relief.

With these shoes, my feet do not have increase pain in the morning simply because I put my shoes on. With these shoes, I can wear them all day – and not feel the need to immediately take them off at the end of my day.

With these shoes, I have been able to restart my walking routine with joy and not have to mentally prepare myself for each attempt to walk. I have since ordered two additional pairs of shoes from Orthofeet, both providing the same level of satisfaction (joy) that the first pair have delivered.

They are not miracle workers – but have provided pain relief, allowed me to be more active and have eliminated the anxiety of having to walk anywhere for any length of time. My only regret is not having found these shoes earlier.

I was looking for a comforatable shoe for walking. I’m planning on a trip that will involve a lot of walking and wanted to get started with a routine. I bought a national brand but they were too tight even though I bought a half of size up.

The whitney shoe was a stark contrast. I have narrow feet and so I do like a narrow shoe but I don’t like my feet and toes to feel crunch which I felt with the other brand. These however have the added benefit of giving you a wider area for your toes.

I usually buy a half size up in sneakers to make sure of a comfy fit and with the smaller added insole that comes with the shoes the fit feels perfect. The shoes are very comfortable for walking. The shoe is very well made.

I like the leather upper and it looks great on. The benefit of the added insole is that if you have a heavier sock you can always remove it. All around I’m very satisfied with this shoe and look forward to wearing it on vacation.

Found myself muttering “heel, toe, heel, toe” at first. Didn’t want to surprise myself by changing my stride and possibly trip while getting used to the shoe. But my toes and the rest of my foot feel really protected inside the product.

It’s lightweight but sturdy. If you have a chance, I recommend practicing with the off-loading shoe before having surgery, especially if you have a curving staircase at home or other surface you’ll need to walk on that you innately rely on how it ‘feels’ underfoot to navigate.

Really glad to have found this site. My recovery is much easier because of it.

The boot was a good purchased and the fit was good but I couldn’t wear it for long because I was unstable on it. Doctor stated that would have been a good boot to wear but since I am using a walker and prone to fall, it wasn’t safe for me.

Overall this is a good product for someone who is not as disabled as I.

My husband had his toes amputated and most of his foot. I ordered regular size and it is much too large. Would you please send me a return label so that I might exchange it for a smaller size. Thank you.

I’m 59 and I have never worn such a comfortable, durable shoe. I’ve had them for over two years and they’re still in fabulous condition and I wear them a LOT! High praise to Dr. Comfort’s dedicated production and quality control team.

Even if I didn’t need them I’d still buy them. I’m a customer for life!.

I had to return this 5. 5WW as it was too tight at the ankle for my special needs daughter as evidenced after the recommended first 30 minutes of wear. The shoe is very stiff and I had difficulty locating her big toe to determine proper length for her.

But that was a mute point since it was too tight anyway.

I have purchased Ecco, New Balance, Nike Adidas, Hoka one one. Desperately looking to reduce my continual foot and leg pain. Every new pair of shoes I purchased helped a little none of them have eliminated my pain as much as OrthoFeet shoes have.

I even have 0 pain days using these shoes. I had an experience where I was wearing a different shoe for the day by the end of the day my feet and legs were killing me. I put my OrthoFeet shoes back on and immediately 80% of the pain was gone.

I also noticed on my Colorado trip to Estes Park walking on trails and rocky roads they work great kept the pain away. Keep up the good work on the shoes. FYI I now have 2 pairs of the Ranger shoes think about buying a third pair for dress shoes.

I forgot to mention how easy they are to put on with the zip backs love that feature.

These shoes changed my thoughts on footwear entirely. They’re so comfortable and actually feel more stable than anything I’ve ever worn. If I had to describe it I would say your feet sit IN the shoes instead of ON the shoes.

They feel wider and more stable at the base. Its hard to describe but once you put them on very easy to understand. I broke the zipper tab off one the first shoes I ordered. I called the number that google provided me while driving across town and my call was immediately answered a girl who looked up my order by using my phone number and had a new pair of shes sent out by the time I reached my next stop.

Now that’s service! I am so impressed by this company that I tell everyone who will listen to try these shoes out, they will change your whole outlook on shoes and restore your faith in the term customer service!.

I bought these about a week before we went on a family vacation. Going to a few state parks for hiking and waterfalls. I expected OK not great. I need a lot of arch support, after a few hours on my feet I’m usually ready for a rest because of my aching feet and legs.

I’m not sure how they do it but it feels like I’m walking bare footed, yet enough support my feet haven’t hurt or gotten sore at all. We hiked 3 or 4 miles the first day, up and down hills with no issues at all.

We hiked about 3 miles the second day and 2 the last day and never any problems or soreness whatsoever. I really like the zippers on the back, much easier to get on and off. After we got back home I cleaned them up and wore them to Church, they are way more comfortable than my “Church shoes”.

Overall best shoes I’ve had in years!!.

I deal with Arthritis, Plantar fibromatosis in my left foot and lower back pain. (Plus, I have had 5 surgeries on my left foot) Walking and standing almost became impossible. The shoes and Insoles I got from VA really did nothing to help.

I found Orthofeet and decided to give them a try. When I got them and put them on, I notices a difference. The first thing was I didn’t feel like I had a rock in my shoe. the second thing was it helped with the Arthritis.

The third thing was these shoes weigh less the shoes that I was wearing. Now I’m not going lie and tell you that these shoes are going to take all the pain away but they help. But I can a least walk and stand for a longer period of time without too much pian.

I would recommend these shoes to anyone even if you had no pain or trouble with your feet or back. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have found in years.

U can tell this company actually put a some research into this shoe. I particularly like the curved shaped of the heel it helps to propel the shoe forward and absorb the impact. The shoe is also made of quality leather unlike most these type shoes on the market.

The only thing i dont like about the shoe is that the sole material around the metatarsal is kinda hard. They need to make the sole thicker and softer or make the insole thicker under the metatarsal.

However, this shoe is still more comfortable than anything from New Balance, Brooks or Hoka. Ive tried just about all walking shoes on the market and this Palisade shoe is more comfortable and cheaper than anything else available.

Shoes fit great and are very comfortable. I had problems with keeping the tongue centered so I had to alter the method of tying. A wider loop in the tongue would probably help that. I have several pairs of Ortho Feet shoes and very happy with them all.

I have since ordered an identical pair in black. I found that the arch booster is a welcomed added feature and takes pressure off heel and ball. I have a pair of style #440 which were suede and I love them.

I would buy another pair if available. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone.
