20 Best Shoe For Big Guys (2023 Updated)

The Air Max 97 sneakers in white are my new favorite sneaker that I can wear to the gym, to hang out in the city, and to enjoy the newly arrived springtime weather. I wear a size 9. 5W and would say that the fit feels about the same compared to my other Nike sneakers.

I wear them primarily in a padded floor gym, which it is perfect for my HIIT and cardio workouts. Although I don’t plan to run in these sneakers, the reflective design is pretty cool and really makes the sneakers pop.

I recommend loosening up the laces on these sneakers for a more comfortable fit. The only issue I have with the shoe is the toe area is a bit narrow, so these are not really ideal for long periods of running.

I love Air Maxes and these Air Max 97s are a great addition to my collection.

I have a trip to Italy coming. Need a good pair of walkers. Thought I would treat myself to Rockports. I will never make that mistake again. The liner has an “S” shaped raised seam that cuts across the bottom of my feet.

Like walking on pebbles. Without the liner, the shoe is an unstructured unforgiving box. There is no flex or give to it whatsoever. The sole isn’t shock absorbing. The shank around the heel is so rigid and such a height that it cuts painfully into the bottom of my outside ankles.

Silly me, I thought I just needed to break them in. So I walked about the neighborhood several miles every day for almost a week. So I don’t think the shoes are returnable. I can’t wear them to Italy; I would be lame and hobbled before the trip ends.

I can’t even comfortably wear them to the grocery store. They are so stiff and unyielding I can’t drive with them on my feet. First and last pear of Rockports I’ll ever buy. These are going straight to used clothing donation, but I pity whoever gets them next!.

I had a pair of these in white in my cart waiting for me to place the order. When I was ready to buy the white pair this color and another color were added to the catalog and ready for ordering. I bought these because I had a pair in blue back in 2003.

I put in some serious miles walking back then and they were very comfortable. These shoes (new blue) are light, comfortable, and remind me of the original blues. I might not be able to wear these with everything like I could with the old blues because the color (shiny) is kinda dressy but that’s what they said they were.

I probably have to wear these with khakis or other semi formal styles. I will be buying the white pair because I think they can be worn with about anything making it easier to just run out the door. I also will be keeping the new blue pair.

I bought a size 12 (my shoe size) and they fit just right.

Based on my many years of successful wearing of Rockport walking shoes I anticipated a continuation of that success with this shoe. However, several things have changed in the makeup of the shoe which forced me to eliminate it from my inventory.

Because I wear custom orthotics, I need to remove the cushioned insert. When doing that with this shoe I discovered that my foot was now in contact with a very hard surface which was not true of previous versions and my foot definitely did not work well with that surface.

Additionally, (and this seems to be true of many manufacturers) the only width ratings available were M and W. My foot is narrower than M and even if the base of the shoe were softer the width of the shoe allowed my foot to slide slightly off of the orthotic which causes considerable discomfort.

Before writing this review, I just finished telling my partner that I’d be surprised that any serious runner would like this shoe. Looking at the other reviews confirms my thoughts as most mention “tennis shoe” or walking, etc etc.

I have worn Nike Air Pegasus for over 20 years. I am completely loyal to the brand, and love the shoe. That is, until now. I ordered these shoes as they were the first Air Pegasus that popped up in my search for wide feet.

And boy was I disappointed. I took my first two runs in them. First and foremost, especially with wide feet, the zipper is difficult to close. The velcro strap allows very little ability to really adjust the tightness of your laces where you want them to be tight, or looser.

But worse, the shoes causes me TERRIBLE foot pain. The zipper hits right at the toe joint, the widest point of the foot. For distance runners, this is not good. I have hit the Advil several times in the last few days as my feet hurt, my back hurt, and my shins hurt(which has not been the case since high school) The fit is so poor.

These shoes in no way are safe for long distance, for anyone. Please move this design off your running collection. I will be sending them back, and buying another pair of Air Pegasus that lace as normal, and fit my foot they way they should.

After using these shoes for a year, I can officially say that these shoes are great all-in-one running shoes. They work for cross country, marathons, practically anything that you can think of. After using them for a year, they only look like dirt has taken them over.

The foam has not worn off, and they still look, and feel great after 300 miles. I’ll definitely be using them for another year, as they are extremely reliable. However, there are some pros and cons. PROS: Very light for their size, fits almost any foot type, and comfortable for longer and shorter runs.

Foam will hold for a long time, shows no sign of shrinking or tears. CONS: White soles will get dirty easily, and the normal version of the shoe has a very wide front-end, making it quite spacious in the front.

(Some may find it uncomfortable) CONCLUSION: great running shoe for any event, tackles marathons and 5-10k’s easily. For narrow to medium feet. If you like this, you should try the vaporflys, as they feel quite similar, as they are just a beefed up version of these shoes.

The Nike Jordan Delta 2 shoes are terrific shoes. While you can debate style and if it’s the right shoe for your lifestyle, it’s hard to argue that they are not well made high quality shoes that are worthy of the Jordan brand.

The shoes are very comfortable – they feel great to wear. Compared to other shoes I’ve worn these definitely feel like a lifestyle/casual shoe as they are immensely comfortable and have a lot of cushion.

Some of the really serious basketball shoes I’ve worn have felt a lot tighter with less cushion to allow for quicker movements and pivots on the court. And these shoes are a big bigger and bulkier compared to some of the running shoes I’ve worn.

So causal/lifestyle seems to fit them really well. The style of the shoe is of course subjective to the owner, but in my opinion these are well done. I’ve seen lots of shoes lately go with a lot of color and flair and these shoes are have that similar design direction, but they are muted enough that I think they’ll have a wide appeal.

The material is top notch on the outside and probably the most interesting stylistic piece are the attached brown suede (?) pieces of fabric. The brown attachments definitely stand out both from a color point of view, but also the way they are attached on top instead of blended into the shoe draws attention.

As mentioned above, these shoes are incredibly comfortable. I was able to wear them with essentially no break in period and got a lot of use out of them with no issues. I wore them simply as a daily shoe – not basketball and not running, did put a lot of miles on them.

All in all, these are great shoes. You can tell when wearing them that they are really high quality shoes. If you like their style and set your expectations for a comfortable shoe but not necessarily a serious basketball (or at least I prefer others) or running shoe you’ll be happy.

I recently got these coming off a knee injury and they work extremely well for me. They are very comfortable and light weight as I run and don’t have that heavy chunky feeling that a lot shoes do. They are lightweight but give me cushion where I need it.

They move really well with me doing things like box jumps and stair strength drills. The only thing I don’t know for sure is how well they would do with distance longer than like 3 or 4 miles. They have done very well for me while I run but I don’t go farther than like 3 miles.

They work really well for shorter distance running and cross training type things but honestly would probably go with something with just a little more support for long distance. it has been a battle for me to get the right thing for my everyday run and workout that is comfy and helps my knees and these nikes work perfectly for that.

I was looking for a lightweight sneaker that didn’t have such a high heel but still had adequate cushion. I needed them for a HIIT boot camp class. Most running shoes have the gel in the heel, which is too much for quick side to side movement.

I almost feel like I can twist my ankle easily with them. These shoes are perfect. They are sooooo comfortable and light. The cushion is great when I’m sprinting and they have great arch support. They are low enough to the ground that I’m not in danger of rolling my ankles.

I was going to order a couple of pairs, one for work because I’m an ER nurse and on my feet for 12 hours each shift, but the color options in my size just weren’t there. I highly recommend these!!!.

The first time I saw these online I thought they looked like clown shoes, but was drawn to them more each time I continued to view them. I was gifted a pair of Nike Revolution shoes last year and thought I would browse the site and that’s when I came across these.

Love the sustainable materials but was worried that they were too flat. I inserted my orthodic insoles and found these to be very comfortable when running, however, I cannot wear these on very hot, humid summer days.

I have flat feet and a bunion and my feet swell when the weather gets warmer and these shoes become tighter. Still love them for running on those days when the weather is kinder to my feet.

A staple shoe I recently picked up. I haven’t had blazers in a few years so I decided to add some to my shoe collection. They’re so easy to style with literally any outfit for all occasions. I love to wear these with colorful socks so the shoe stands out more.

Color on top of a clean canvas is everything to an artist lol. They’re pretty comfortable and good walking shoes, I wore them to a county fair for HOURS in the sun and had no complaints. Easy to clean which is great since they’re predominantly white.

I always get compliments too which is nice to hear lol. I definitely recommend these for a good summer shorts-set outfit.

My brother is blind, so I like to buy him shoes that are easy to slip on and he doesn’t have to tie. It has been fairly easy to find him dressier shoes, but I’ve wanted to get him “sneakers” for a while now – and then I saw these! The only thing I’m a little concerned about is that I ordered wide width.

My husband has the same sized feet as my brother, and usually tries shoes on to see how they feel. When these arrived, he said they felt a little tight. I’m hoping that either they will feel better on my brother, or that he can break them in a bit.

I see that they have even a 2X wide, so next time I’d probably go with that. But I think he’ll really like these shoes. If so, I hope I can get them in the color they were out of this time around.

Inexpensive show, great for short walks, chores, etc. Comfortable, ordered in 15 wide. Lightweight shoe. Easy on and off with the velcro strap. Overall ok but the tongue is too narrow so when strapped the sides of the shoe do not overlap the tongue.

Guess the quality control in whatever Asian country these are made in is lacking. But still for the price am pleased with the shoes.

These are the most comfortable sports shoes I have ever worn. Stylish, high quality and reasonably priced. It is the only shoe I wear due to no-shoelace ties. I typically buy 2 or 3 pairs at a time as I wear a very large size.

Enjoy rotating multiple color selections, too.

I was on my way to a festival and realized I forgot my sneakers! So I had to stop and buy some. I was so glad they had all black sneakers in my size but the sizes run different on New Balance. I have never bought this brand before.

I tried on my regular size 8. 5 and it was too tight, 9 was too tight as well then I realized it was because they run narrow. I was happy to see they had them in wide width. Never in my life have I had to wear ww shoes but I did in these, and still had to size up to a 9.

Overall though they were very comfortable. I was on my feet all day every day for 4 days straight and my feet felt great. The only complaint I have is the heel. You have to make sure you have these unlaced and opened a lot before you slide your foot in or the heel folds in on itself.

I noticed the broken heel back on a few of the pairs in the store too.

I need a solid shoe that would hold my foot and not let anything move around. It’s not about size so much is support of the shoe in terms of arch and soul etc. They almost hit the mark but…my heel rolls off the inside side of the shoe and it’s like my legs are crashing into each other because the shoe holds everything except the insides of my heels.

They roll in. Ugh. Happens more on the right foot foot than left foot. Doesn’t happen with my 10-year-old ASICS that I simply can’t stop wearing because they are so comfortable. The Gel kayak or kakos or some thing like that.

Can’t find anything as good as those. This review portal is unstable.

Loved the shoes when I got them in the mail, but they were a whole size bigger! I am a womens size 6 and I put them on and they looked like clown shoes on because they were so big. I did a lot of research and a few reviews (on amazon) states that they were a whole size bigger than your regular size and to size down when purchasing.

However, on Nike. com I didnt find this same complaint so I figured that the amazon shoes where knock off, so I bought from Nike. But this was NOT the case. They are in fact a whole size bigger.

I love these shoes. They go with pretty much any outfit you wear and they are incredibly comfortable. I will say that those who have high arched feet may feel some uncomfortable pain after wearing these shoes for too long.

I feel some slight discomfort but nothing unbearable.

Shoes fit perfectly. Great quality and arrived as the original expected product. I saved about 20 bucks on these compared to buying them off the Converse website. Thanks Tilly’s!

I loved the Mach 4 and was excited to see how the Mach 5 was improved. It is a very different shoe, with a softer ride, but still with a great snap when picking up the pace is required. There is something to the “+” in ProFly+ — it is definitely softer than ProFly and has better responsiveness.

The tongue has padding in the right places. I don’t find the laces too long and I do not experience the upper cinching too close on the top of my foot. I’m not a wide, but for an average width foot, I have no issues with lacing and comfort.

My only concern is the rubberized EVA. My Mach 4s have ~270 miles on them and there is no tread left on the shoe. They still work find on pavement and crushed limestone trail, but I don’t wear them when conditions are wet.

Given the Mach 5s have a similar rubberized EVA, I’m not sure I’ll get much more than 250 miles before I relegate them to dry pavement days. This is why I bought two pair — rotate them so I did not feel like I was burning through one pair too quick.

Overall, I love this shoe and it is my favorite daily trainer, especially on days when I have faster paces to hit.

I use these as my everyday shoes. I am female but the male shoes fit so much better! Extra comfortable! They are definitely wide enough! No pokes or pinches. I can’t and DO wear them all day. I’m never tired when I take them off.

Real big value for money from Nike/Rebel team – it was really well priced – its not too heavy, but heavy enough to be well constructed and supportive. Ive worn them for hours (im a big walker) – they look great, wear them for hours, never sore feet.

I work at an organisation where I am on my feet for 8 hours a day so was looking for comfortable shoes. These shoes are perfect, they are very light & the inner soles are so soft it’s like walking on air.

I used to come home with very sore feet but not anymore, I have already recommended them to everyone I work with.
