About Belltech: Since 1983 small company in Fresno, California had an idea to build the “best performing” lowering suspensions for the Chevrolet pickup. Fresno had been a haven for lowered vehicles and trucks were in abundance.
Trucks were being lowered but their suspensions were terrible and not very roadworthy. The stance looked good but the ride was terrible.
Smooth out your slammed vehicle. Tailor made and custom valved for your lowered car, truck or SUV. Expertly tuned to fight off pitching, rolling and squatting for greater control at any speed. Progressive rebound rate delivers the perfect blend of stiffness and smoothness on both rough roads and fresh asphalt.
Built big with a 55mm shock body, 35mm piston and 15mm rod. Teflon-coated bushings and seals minimize metal-on-metal rubbing for lasting performance. Front or rear shocks & struts sold individually, complete sets include all four shocks.
But, if you’re still rolling on your stock shocks or struts, your ride quality is about as high as your bumper. Chuck those OE shock absorbers and step up to a set of Belltech Street Performance Shocks.
They’re engineered specifically to deliver smoother, more controlled handling for your lowrider. Pitching, rolling and squatting are all just bad memories after you bolt on a set of Belltech Street Performance Shocks & Struts.
Thanks to their tuned low-speed compression rate and progressive rebounding, they keep your rig rolling level even when you’re hot-lapping around town. Plus, they’re custom valved for your vehicle to deliver the perfect amount of support without being excessively stiff.
Beefier than your average absorber, Belltech Street Performance Shocks & Struts are built with oversized components for added dampening. The 55mm body is packed with a mammoth 35mm piston connected to a thick 15mm rod.
And, the insides of all the bushings and seals are coated with Teflon to thwart metal-on-metal rubbing and maintain lasting performance. Save an extra 10% with code AA10. Stay in total control of your lowrider with Belltech Street Performance Shocks & Struts.

After lowering the rear of my 2016 Silverado LS 2wd regular cab short bed about 3. 25″ and installing 22″ wheels/tires it felt like the tires kept bouncing long after hitting a bump. My research showed this was most likely caused by a combination of the additional unsprung weight and the original rear shocks now being too long.
After reading that these shorter shocks were designed specifically for my situation I installed a set in the rear and immediately noticed a firm yet very controlled ride in the rear with no more excessive bouncing.
Well worth the upgrade IMO and once I decide how low to go in the front I will be installing the matching height adjustable front struts.
Love these shock I installed a set on my 99 tahoe so now that I got this 04 silverado it was a no brainer. These will definitely change the ride quality of your ride especially if you are running larger wheels.
Overall it helped the ride quality compared to the stock shocks that were too long. The stock shocks cause my truck to ride a bit harsh due to the fact they were being compressed too far. The Belltech fit perfectly in my truck and smooth out the harsh ride.
The shocks may be a tad soft but overall a much needed upgrade for my truck.
The Belltech ND2 OEM replacement shock is tuned to provide superior comfort and feel for daily driven trucks and SUVs. A large, 45mm shock body provides increased oil volume, which means your shock absorbers will perform even on long, uneven stretches of road.
The shocks can withstand potholes and bumps while maintaining safety and a smooth ride for you and your passengers. With factory-style comfort and improved road-feel and response, these truck shock absorbers are a perfect upgrade to any daily driver.
Own the road with a set of Belltech ND2 OEM replacement shocks.

So far everything I have have purchased with Belltech anywhere on it has been a great product. My ’85 has everything Belltech that they offer. These shocks help the ride comfort so much. I will buy them again.

I wanted some affordable upgrades to replace the shocks that were on the jeep when I bought it. These are very affordable and I like that they are American made. They went in easy enough. I took off the wheel for some added room to work.
Took only 50 minute’s or so to install both the front shocks. Stiffened up the ride a bit and I like that. 4 stars.
Lowering your truck can improve its handling, but it can also make it difficult to find the right shock absorber. Belltech ND2 lowering shocks take the guesswork out of finding a lowering shock. These truck shock absorbers have many of the same features found on the OEM ND2 shock, such as a large-diameter body for reduced shock fade and factory-quality bushings.
The shock absorber bodies are shortened, allowing them to be installed on lowered trucks easily and safely. Shortened lengths are application specific, so you arent getting a one-size-fits-all universal shock, but one made specifically for your lowered truck.

The stock shocks reaaally didn’t like the lowered suspension and blew out. These brought the ride quality back, and were more affordable that other options I looked into. Im very happy with the performance.

For $200 these are RAD! I’m a 235 pound man and adjusted 2 settings up from the default softest they come with and my 2017 Dyna Street Bob is sitting pretty. I’ve hit the speed bumps on my street @ 40mph multiple time and have not bottomed out.
I thought I was going to have to take off my top belt guard or at least modify it with a grinder but I did not. The stock shocks are junk compared to these and if you want your bike lowered these will do the it in spades.
I plasti dipped the shock mount covers black for now but will probably lightly sand and use the krylon them a gloss black to 100% match. My Dyna is sitting perty:D.
I thought they were gonna be very stiff, they’re not! They’re super confortable! I weigh over 200 lbs and they come with instructions for the adjustments (adjustment tool is included) I adjusted them to the second setting out of 5 settings & they are perfect! My feet sit properly on the ground and now my gf can also ride it without tippy toeing.
I commute 30 miles one way to work and another 30 to get home & I love them! They make my bike look smoother.
Thank you for your assistance. Very happy with the Burly shocks it’s exactly what I was looking for. Will like to get the Arlen Ness velocity 65 Chrome at a later time. Regards Jacques

Due to their larger tires and a heightened stance, lifted vehicles place extra demands on a shock absorbers damping ability. The 5100 monotube design and patented digressive valving is uniquely suited to confront these demands.
On or off-road, loaded or unloaded, Bilstein shocks instantly react to changing road inputs to maintain a stable, controlled, and comfortable ride. Bilstein’s superior monotube high gas pressure design allows the excessive heat from the oil to transfer to the outer surface of the shock body and dissipate more efficiently.
The dividing piston also permits the oil to expand as heat builds, preventing aeration (foaming) and viscosity loss. This allows the shock to maintain full damping characteristics as temperatures rise.
I purchased Bilstein 5100’s all the way around for 2015 Chevy 2500 in 2020. Come July 2022. Shocks were making noise and were extremely spongy/soft riding. Compared to when installed and over the last two years.
Went ahead and ordered a replacement set through them. To where I would send in the old/used shocks back and get a refund. They claim one shock was bad, two were damaged from USE/abuse, and one still good.
My truck hauls a camper and never been off roading ever since I’ve owned it. Now I only get an $80 refund out of $400 spent too receive the warranty replacement shocks. Scam artist.
So first of all I bought the shocks to replace my stock shocks that I thought were rattling in the front of my truck. My truck also had an extremely stiff ride being a 2500 HD. So I received my shocks in two separate shipments in two big boxes that it all could have been shipped together.
So basically my 3-hour job turned into multiple days. They installed very easily and smoothed out the ride in some aspects but for the most part not a huge difference like a lot of people are claiming.
I am enjoying the smooth ride my new Bilstein 5100 struts and shocks are providing. The old Ranchos had seen their better days at 72000 miles. With the purchase and installation they were a little pricey.
I feel like I got the best product for the money though because my truck rides so much better. It has the smoothest ride now. I think it rides as good as my Buick Enclave and that says a lot. I did my research and Bilstein fit my needs very well.

Trucks were being lowered but their suspensions were terrible and not very roadworthy. The stance looked good but the ride was terrible.
While there are many reasons to lower a truck, one of the most popular reasons is to improve the look of the vehicle. Some people believe that a lowered truck looks more aggressive and can turn heads when driving down the street.
While there are certainly some visual benefits to lowering a truck, there are also some potential drawbacks that should be considered before making the decision to lower your truck.
One of the potential drawbacks of lowering a truck is that it can negatively impact the ride quality. A lowered truck is more likely to experience bumps and jolts when driving over uneven surfaces, which can be uncomfortable for passengers.
Additionally, a lowered truck is more likely to bottom out when driving over large bumps or potholes, which can damage the suspension and other components.
Another potential drawback of lowering a truck is that it can make the vehicle more difficult to drive. A lowered truck is more likely to scrape against the ground when making turns or going over obstacles, which can lead to damage.
Additionally, a lowered truck can have a higher center of gravity, which can make it more difficult to control on the road.
Before making the decision to lower your truck, be sure to weigh the potential pros and cons. While lowering a truck can improve the look of the vehicle, it is important to consider the potential ride quality and handling issues that may occur.
