These shocks are my second purchased pair from suspension connection. I have 4 brand new Bilstein shocks in my 2500HD with a 4″ lift out back and a 3″ lift out front. These are amazing for every day driving.

My truck has a flatbed on it and is used for hauling pallets of material to job sites, towing a bobcat, and plowing. These shocks take the abuse with no problems so far after 12k miles on the rears and 3k miles on the fronts.

Found the most reasonable price on Walmart. com and they arrived much quicker than I expected. Bought the Bilstein 5100’s for my 2005 Chevy Suburban 2500, which has a 3” lift. My SUV rides much smoother and were, for the most part, easy to install.

I would have never imagined the difference these struts makes compared to stock. I always felt the suspensions are the weak point (along with the headlights) of the F150. After upgrading the rear with the Bilstein 5100, which was a breeze and a dramatic change in the car’s handling, I decided to upgrade the front to get rid of vibrations and stiff bump handlings.

Installation took about 3 hours for each side (would take me 2 hours now that I know how to do it). Difference is night and day. The ride feels very smooth, dampened, controlled. I feel like I’m driving a high end sedan.

They also keep the car very straight on curves. I should have done it a long time ago. One note: they don’t come with bump stops, and when I removed the factory struts, to my surprise one bump stop was missing and the other was much smaller than what stock bump stops look like (2018 certified pre-owned F150 3.

5 Ecoboost with factory struts still on). If you can, make sure you have them installed by removing your front wheels and checking inside the little plastic protection at the top of the strut inside the spring.

Highly recommend them, to me this purchase is a no brainer along with the rear ones.

My new F150 is a great truck, the only disappointment was the rebound over a small bump (speed bump). It would bounce 3 times which was too mushy. I read some reviews on the Bilstein 5100 shocks and ordered them from American Trucks.

Once I installed them I took the truck for a spin. It was as good as I had hoped;!very controlled but not harsh over bumps. Do this modification!.

After installing the Bilstein 5100s in the rear of my truck I went ahead and bought these to level my truck. My truck had a 3″ rake from the factory and I used these on the second from the top option to give my truck 1″ of rake.

Like the rears, the ride is much more planted and stiff; bumps don’t sway my truck and I love the almost perfect level look. Don’t have a single complaint.

TLDR; Absolutely BEAST off road, huge difference in handling, and the 2 inch lift is the perfect balance between a 4 wheelin machine and maintaining performance and that smooth ride on road. Long review; So I got this kit along with the matching rear shock set and 33 inch Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws for my ’15 Coyote 4×4.

I wanted to increase my off road capabilities but also maintain on road performance and fuel efficiency. This kit has delivered just that. As an added bonus the handling and control of my truck has improved dramatically.

We all know that trucks are very capable off road right out of the factory. But they’re not. crazy good. And anyone who’s been rock crawling in a jeep or has experienced any sort of dirt track racing knows what I’m talking about.

4 wheel drive is great and all, but the suspension comes way too soft (which is intentional since most people won’t be doing serious 4 wheelin in their truck). This Fox 2. 0 Performance kit has turned my F150 into the 4 wheelin machine of my dreams.

You can actually feel the tires grabbing every rock and dirt bump as you climb that hill with this suspension. It also keeps my truck under control at high speeds on dirt trails. I’m talking 50-70mph on bumpy, dirt terrain NO PROBLEM.

Now let’s talk about the on road handling and cornering improvements. Think about when you once took a sharp turn a little to fast in your truck. It feels like it’s about to roll. This is normal for all trucks, manufacturers don’t expect you to drive a big truck like a sports car.

This Fox kit takes that away completely. You’re going to need some self control to keep yourself from speeding through turns like a teenager in dad’s Mustang. I’m not kidding, the handling is ridiculous.

As for the 2 inch lift, it’s just perfect. Even with the 33 inch tires my average mpg has stayed the same as before. My truck feels like it accelerates just as quickly. It also gives you that extra bit of ground clearance for 4 wheelin, and with the stiffness of the shocks there’s really not much my truck can’t do.

If you’ve read this far I applaud you. I was hard pressed to find information for this kit on an F150 in particular and I kind of went on faith trusting a reputable brand. I was not disappointed and I highly reccommend.

I looked at several different options to give my F-150 the look I wanted. I decided to go for the Fox 2. 0 coilovers and rear shocks in the end and I am not disappointed. The truck handles much better and the look is perfect.

I don’t do much towing so I’m not too concerned with squat, but will go with air in the back if needed later. You should expect the ride to be a lot more firm. You will feel some extra bumps but it isn’t that bad.

It’s just not the super soft factory feel. The extra firmness makes cornering much more predictable. I highly recommend this kit to anyone looking for a level and better performance on and off road.

I had these on for awhile. Just about impossible to adjust at home. The ride was wayy more stiffer. Every little bump and rock in the street even cracks you would feel. On the highway it sucked. This is a honest review.

I would not recommend these. I couldn’t send them back. I had to sell them. that took forever. I went with Rancho quick lift. They suck as well. Now I’m thinking about just going back to stock and putting a level kit on there.

I have spent almost 2 grand for nothing. Now I’m in a big hole because of these. Don’t do it if u are looking for a better ride on the street with min off road. Go with something else.

I purchased Bilstein 5100’s all the way around for 2015 Chevy 2500 in 2020. Come July 2022. Shocks were making noise and were extremely spongy/soft riding. Compared to when installed and over the last two years.

Went ahead and ordered a replacement set through them. To where I would send in the old/used shocks back and get a refund. They claim one shock was bad, two were damaged from USE/abuse, and one still good.

My truck hauls a camper and never been off roading ever since I’ve owned it. Now I only get an $80 refund out of $400 spent too receive the warranty replacement shocks. Scam artist.

So first of all I bought the shocks to replace my stock shocks that I thought were rattling in the front of my truck. My truck also had an extremely stiff ride being a 2500 HD. So I received my shocks in two separate shipments in two big boxes that it all could have been shipped together.

So basically my 3-hour job turned into multiple days. They installed very easily and smoothed out the ride in some aspects but for the most part not a huge difference like a lot of people are claiming.

I am satisfied with them so far.

I am enjoying the smooth ride my new Bilstein 5100 struts and shocks are providing. The old Ranchos had seen their better days at 72000 miles. With the purchase and installation they were a little pricey.

I feel like I got the best product for the money though because my truck rides so much better. It has the smoothest ride now. I think it rides as good as my Buick Enclave and that says a lot. I did my research and Bilstein fit my needs very well.

Nice shocks, very happy with them. Night and day difference compared to my old worn stock motorcraft rear shocks. I Will be purchasing another set to replace my front shocks with thanks!

These shocks solved my 2 1/2 inch lift problem when installing oversize tires…happy with the results.

After 34K on my 17 Willys, it was time for a refresh. I noticed a smoother ride overall. The rebound was much improved over stock. Also noticed better stability on highways. Rear install was a breeze.

Passenger front took me longer. I had to break off some of the plastics above the top bolt. There’s no room to slide the bolt. Luckily, the plastic is thin and breaks off easily with some needle nose pliers.

Break just enough to be able to start the top bolt. 4/5 for incorrect shipment and RMA hassle. But price is excellent!.

The shocks on my JK were dated and the rear were shot. So bought these on an awesome price. They got delivered today and I was able to install all 4 with a jack and jack stands. Took about 30 a piece for the rear and 45 a piece for the fronts.

They look great and provide a much better ride. Seem to stabilize great around corners and turns. Definitely recommend!.

Fox delivers. These are my first set of Fox shocks and I’m pleased to say I’m not disappointed. I have a 2014 JK and the shocks were the factory originals. The ride was plush but really spongy. I needed new shocks.

In steps Fox. I can’t argue with the performance for the price. At a competitor’s website each Fox shock was $167. XT bundled all 4 together and I saved good money not to mention free shipping. My Jeep rides a bit stiffer now but no longer feels like it’s rolling in the corners or over uneven road.

Buy Fox. You won’t be disappointed either.

My goal was to find a full length front shock to replace the shorter stock shock design on my 2wd 03 Ford Ranger. I did not like the design that was clearly meant for the 4wd drive shaft to clear. Since my truck was 2wd I could install a full length shock but needed to retain the extended shock length of 18 inches to avoid the upper control arms from binding on the truck’s frame when I jumped the truck.

The Pro Comp ES9000 shocks fit the criteria perfectly. Installation was easy. I was able to install them in my driveway without jacking the truck up. I did receive one shock that was scratched up, and missing hardware.

The box was taped up and obviously returned to Summit on a previous order. Summit didn’t hesitate to replace the shock at no charge. Their customer service is always exceptional if you ever have an issue with your order.

Excellent shocks, I can’t complain. Many people think expensive shocks will turn your Jeep into a smooth Cadillac but that is never the case!!! I’m happy with these, they are better than stock. And exactly what I was looking for.

A Jeep will always drive like a jeep so don’t waste money on something that is meant to wear down(if you are stock). These are perfect. But I am a simpleton and compare how my stock jk rides to my old yj so take this with a grain of salt.

I have a 08 JKU Sahara and have been noticing some weird bouncing so decided to replace shocks. I read reviews and watch several YouTube videos then bought these. It did take about 30 min each to replace including putting the whole jeep up on stands and removing tires.

So far, they seem like a nice upgrade. It still rides like a Jeep but the new firmness seems to help the overall ride. A 18 mm ratchet wrench helps a lot on the top bolts of the front shocks! I’m.

I need to replace my shocks probably for several months. the ride is great. Pretty easy install other than bad info on one of the size nuts. Once i figured that out it is a breeze. Only thing i would change is on the rears preload the upper bracket because it is a bear to get it in.

All in all impressed. Its nice to have a good comfortable ride again!.

My jeep TJ was not fun to drive I bought it a few weeks ago. When I checked out the shocks they were cracked, rusted out. Since I installed my Es9000 Pro Comps I have a new ride. They are good looking if you like tooling at shocks.

I feel they will last me for some time. I would recommend them to anyone that asks me for my advice on getting shocks and I would also tell them about Extream Terrain for Anserwering all my questions very helpful personal.

I have these shocks on a lifted excursion that I drove daily and hammered on many occasions Jump truck 4 or 5 feet through air and it always landed so soft. I put a set on my lifted expidition and love the spongy ride they give and how they hold on rough impacts.

I put a set on my rod 440 dodge with same results. Best shock I have come across.

The shock itself is nice but there is unacceptable overspray onto the rod of the shock. Luckily a shock boot will cover this sin but the I know its still there.

i did a lift on my truck that is 2wd and i was looking for shocks for the new size and couldnt find them at the autoparts stores so i checked online these were the ones i found and they fit perfectly!

This is fairly early to write a review. I installed these socks a week and a half ago. That being said they are great so far. The comfort of the ride in my truck has notably improved. Also I can take corners tighter and quicker than before.

These socks are a fair amount thinker than my previous ones. My hope is that will translate to durability and longevity though it stands to be seen. Hope this wasn’t too novice a review. So far only good things to say regarding this product.

Recently order and installed a pair of these on my 1996 Cherokee. These shocks seem to be a very beefy, well-made item, but installation could be a bit easy. The bushing were already pressed in, but the tie bar that attaches the shock to the axle was difficult install.

It seems that the ends are just a tad too big for the bushing. I was able to press them in with a bench vise, but managed to leave a couple nicks on the bushing in the process. Make sure you put one “donut” on the bottom of the shock rod and one on the top.

(My old ones only had one on the top for some reason)Putting the shock rod nut on before you lower the vehicle probably isn’t a bad idea either. The nuts themselves are big, beefy 19mm things, but you’ll probably need a ratcheting wrench to tighten them up, plus an 8mm open-end wrench to keep the shock rods from spinning around.

The shocks are a bit noisy, especially when going over big stuff, but seem to do a good job of smoothing big ruts and dips out.

Someone needs to do the math again. Gave my truck a 2in. Leveling kit. Called for new shocks too. Only problem was after I installed it all. I had 4. 5 in of up travel to my bump stop. Shocks only had 3 in of room till it fully collapsed.

So basically if I hit something or came off a rock to hard. I would blow the shock out way before it would com in contact with the bump stop. 99 dodge ram. 1500. short cab short box.
