20 Best Shirts For Big Guys (2023 Updated)

I wear these as uniform undershirts and they do the job nicely. Fabric feels like good quality and the most important thing is that the collar is snug and keeps its shape very well without that loose sloppy look.

There are a few issues, but nothing worth returning them over. They do shrink quite a bit which would’ve made them on the smaller side for wearing by themselves. At least two of my six have a “puffy” shoulder where the torso and arm seam comes together; one shoulder is fine and the other puffs up at the top instead of following the contour of your arm/shoulder.

Almost all of them have hems at the waist or arm that creases and aren’t nice and flat. This is as if when they folded the material over to hem, it wasn’t done so evenly and got pulled one way or the other so there’s misalignment and a crease results between the folded edge and the hem.

I’ll be satisfied as long as the white doesn’t lose its brightness too quickly. They’re perfect for my purpose of wearing under a uniform, but I wouldn’t recommend them as a top layer.

I’ve been a Jockey customer for over a decade, and their tees were once the standard all others should be compared to. In fact, the Jockey Stay New Slim Crew (100% cotton / non-stretch variant) was the hands-down the best tee I ever bought.

Unfortunately, those are no longer sold on Jockey. com, so I mistakenly bought this 6-pack. I assumed that since these tees are from the Classics range, they would be time-tested quality. While the cut is a near perfect Jockey fit, the fabric feels low grade compared to the cotton used on the Stay New Slim Crew.

I’m not sure if it’s the finish, the knit, thread count or what. It feels a bit thinner & cheap. I only washed & tumbled dried once and all the hems on the end of the sleeves and bottoms of the tees bunched and shriveled.

I don’t use any washer & dryer out of the ordinary — just your standard Whirlpool front loaders. I tried washing again & it hasn’t helped. They just look cheap & low grade. I feel like I wasted my money.

Jockey, these tees are not up to your high standards. Please update these and/or bring back the Stay New Slim Crew.

Jockey has failed to understand the original function of the V-Neck T-shirt design which was to be worn with informal dress shirt. The V neck T-Shirt, unlike the crew neck T-Shirt, was originally designed to not show when worn with an open neck dress shirt.

A man’s neck and skin plus a cooler feel and perspiration protection for a good dress shirt was its focus when combined with an open neck dress shirt. Jockey has cast the deeper V-neck T-shirt aside and as a result has lost my business of 55 years.

The qualities of the T-shirt material and construction are high but I prefer another brand with a deeper V-neck T-Shirt. Jockey should offer a deep V-neck that always hides below an open V-neck shirt.

In addition, Jockey T-Shirts need to be marketed with a longer waist because clothes washes even in warm-cold water cause unacceptable shrinkage.

Been buying Dickies T-shirts & clothes for decades and have been almost perfect. For the last several years I have been buying Dickies T-Shirts at Walmart BY THE STACK and have been very happy with them.

I own several other Dickies T’s but these are my dailies. Went to buy more and they have been replaced with cheap T’s by a thin cheap brand that sounds & fits like strangler. A few people bought me gifts very recently online of what appeared to be the same Dickies shirts that were sold at Walmart but not ONE of the many styles is even close.

One wear, one wash, and gone to others. I have tried in the past due to unavailable stock to match sku’s & item numbers between retail & online without success. If the Walmart shirts are no longer being made let folks know.

If they are still available, or even a shirt that is very similar, I think it would be good for you to let that be known as well. I know a lot of other folks in my circles are asking the same thing. From a lot of the comments here I think others are wondering & wanting the same information and/or product.

I am extremely happy with these shirts, I personally like the shape and fit (a bit loose and boxy) very comfortable. The fabric is soft and breathable, it also absorbs sweat well rather than having it run down my arms like all poly shirts do.

These are much cooler than the heavy weight shirts in summer, yet still hold up to serious wear and tear. They hold there shape well through multiple washes, they don’t shrink much if at all (mine just got a bit shorter after drying) and they don’t fade.

I have several and they are all I wear now. For both work and socially. My only comment would be can we please have them in more colours? The greens especially. Thanks for a great affordable shirt.

Great fit even after washing and drying. Really good material and it kept it’s shape after laundering. It’s so hard to find t-shirts that fit well. Most women’s t-shirts are either too snug in the waist or too baggy in the shoulders, and men’s don’t fit well either, especially since they started making them with the athletic fit.

I usually wear a women’s large but I wasn’t sure about the Dickies fit so I bought a large and an extra large in the Dickies women’s size and they both fit fine with a little extra room in the XL, but not baggy.

So the large is true to size. I’ll be buying more in the future, but I hope they come out with some new and maybe brighter colors. Great alone or under my new Dickies flannel shirt!.

I bought 7 Carhartt t-shirts but only received 6 if them. Still waiting on 1 t-shirt and it’s the Forest Green color t-shirt in either a 3x tall or 4x can’t remember what size it was. But that’s the one we are still waiting to come I got a notification saying it would be here by Friday Nov 6th and it never came I am still waiting.

Ok on as positive note I bought 7 Carhartt t-shirts all in different colors for my boyfriend he loves them. And he likes the brand Carhartt and would prefer that brand most of his work clothes are Carhartt.

He has never been able to find any that fit him most t-shirts don’t come in his size. Depending on the style and the maker he wears between a 2x-4x the smallest being a 2x they would be either to small/short but was able to wear them just for a little while.

So I was glad I was able to find him some in his size and they were mens big/tall just what my boyfriend needed. I got him three 3x and three 4x. Thank you.

I, “myself”, prefer these Colorful T Shirts with the Pocket. They come in handy for me ! I put my hand sanitizer, face mask, micro flashlight, and even sometimes my phone in the Shirt Pocket. I never put any pens in there , because they can ruin the shirt , if or when they leak.

Also, I don’t like the way the nerdy plastic pocket protectors with pens look in my pocket. Anyways, these Shirts come in HUGE SIZES and Colors, Colors , Colors, Man do they have a lot of Colors ! When I am in The Store, I always take advantage of the Deal DXL gives me when I Buy 2+ or More of these T Shirts !! I prefer to wear them untucked , covering my Belt Loop and/or my Belt if I wear one at All ! Even if I wear an unbuttoned Hawaiian Shirt on top of it as well.

That’s Casual Style Baby ! My Closet is Full of these T Shirts that are Hanging alongside My Hawaiian and Fancier DXL Shirts. These Shirts also make great Colorful Undershirts, that I have also worn with my Button Up Work Shirt on top when it’s not to Hot Outside.

I have even Doubled them up under my Work Shirt in my Delivery Job when the Temperature Drops down Outside in the Cooler Months, in Lieu of Thermal Under Shirts, because these short sleeve T shirts have given me plenty of warmth at my body core , without the restriction that too many Long Sleeve Thermal T Shirts can do to your arms ! I Wish , like Donuts that DXL would also offer a even better Deal on a Half Dozen of these T Shirts.

And. Even Better, offer a Best Deal on a Dozen of these T Shirts. I know I’d be in ! The only other Request that I could have is that when the DXL Stores start offering these New Spectacular Deals , that they make sure that each store has a Huge Variety of Size and Color Selection Inventory in Stock ! I’ve been 6xl for the last 10 years (now 7xl) and I’ve tried every option for t-shirts there is. At those sizes It’s hard to find a well-fitting shirt, even in brands that are supposedly big/tall-centric.

These are the most comfortable cut (and as flattering as you can get at 7xl). The neck isn’t a mile wide, the armpits aren’t ridiculously baggy, and the fabric isn’t too thick or too thin. My only grip is the elastic round the neck is thin and wears out a little faster than most.

colors are limited but dying them is easy. I buy the white 5pk and 3 bottles of black rit, they come out a nice charcoal gray. Rit dye suggests Salt for cotton and Vinegar for synthetics. the stitching thread on these shirts is Poly so I just add both salt and vinegar.

Great quality big and tall clothing is hard to come by, but not when you’re shopping at DXL. I love DXL, they have great stuff. My favorite brands they carry are Nautica and Reebok. Great quality and usually a good deal.

The harbor bay brand is amazing quality but it does shrink more in the dryer than other clothing. I got used to how much harbor bay clothing shrinks in the dryer, so when I buy something made by Nautica or Champion I don’t have to buy a size up to accommodate for dryer shrinkage, but overall it’s great quality.

I would recommend to anyone.

I have these hoodies in bone, sandstone, peach, navy, and black. Sandstone and bone are the best of the bunch. the fabric feels slightly more substantial than the others. Peach is very good, slightly flimsier than the neutral colors.

Black and navy are pretty flimsy, attract a lot of lint, and the elastic shrank much more than the other colors. They have a boxy fit and the elastic waist comes in just enough to keep out a draft, but not enough to bunch up.

In this price range, these are the best hoodies I”ve tried. If you can afford a little more, get the Legend hoodie. The fabric is much heavier, holds its shape, never piles, and it looks and feels like a much more expensive item.

Bought these for a family member for casual and work shirts. Good thickness, study, and well made. I purchased an X-Large tall; the XL fit great in length, but may have shrunk a tad. They fit fine if they don’t shrink any more.

In the past, I purchased 2X, tall which fit a little large. The family member lifts weights, so the chest needs to be a bit bigger, but his waist is normal. I use to buy a slim fit, long tail shirt for him in a 2X, which was great, haven’t been able to find them over the past 2 years.

I bought these long sleeve kelly green shirts to wear under my black and dark blue work T-shirts with green logos, coupled with a matching green bandana for masking up. I love them ! 5 shirts in XXL arrived amazingly fast, good quality,heavy cotton shirts.

Material doesn’t bunch up under another shirt as some thin shirts do. They are well made and are holding up well to washing. This was a hard to find color, and they had it here in like 3 days ! Fit as expected.

I will definitely order from this company again.

The material is light weight and comfortable. With a long sleeve under it keeps you warm in cooler temps. The white camo is the perfect color. In true unisex fashion, for women size down at least one if not two sizes.

I ordered two sizes down and while it does fit, it leaves little room for movement in the arms.

The Champion Pocket-T-shirts (3XL) were great! Soft to the touch, material weight is just right – not too heavy or too light, fits true to size (my husband like the shirt roomy). Easy to shop Walmart online.

They seem to have most everything I am looking for. Quick delivery and they send communications to let me know when to expect delivery. Packaging is great. Very happy with shopping online with Walmart.

I bought four of these to wear as oversized nightshirts. The fabric is nice–thick enough to feel high quality, but not awkwardly thick. Sleeve length is longish, which I prefer. I am sensitive to textures, and had been worried that the embroidered decals would be itchy, but it turns out that I don’t even notice them.

Unfortunately, one of my shirts has some kind of sharp thread in the seam along the left shoulder that’s always poking me and giving me a little rash. I’ve tried to find it and pull it out, but it’s a complicated (and strong) seam.

So I’ll have to figure out how to fix that somehow. The other three are fine.

The classic Champion Jersey tee. I love the split script logo on the chest. Scored this t-shirt for under $10 during a recent clearance sale. There is something about the classic cotton shirt that makes it an easy go to whenever I’m looking for a t-shirt to throw on.

I’m 5’11 roughly 180 pounds and I opted for the large. As someone who has dropped down from 205 about a year ago I still feel more comfortable with the large fit over the medium. Also, if you toss these shirts in the dryer they are bound to shrink so that puts my mind at ease because a little shrinkage still works on my current frame.

Plus, these t-shirts are meant to be worn for the street vibes, I’m not going for a fitted look when I rock them.

I love the straight hem which allows my son to wear them untucked. He is a teacher. These shirts let him dress professionally, while staying comfortable. They come out odf the dryer ready to wear–no ironing.

The T-shirt is great. I love Nike. I like oversized T-shirts and I’m a girl. I ordered a Medium and it’s longer than to be wider. It’s good for tall boys but the fitting is not what I expected for what I like in oversized t shirts.

But overall it’s good. And I’m going to wear it and my brother too.

Purchased four colors of the same shirt, as the embroidered Nike symbol won’t be damaged in the wash as other printed applications. The shirt material is soft and comfortable and the sizing is perfect for me.

Purchased to take on holiday. The colour was amazing, but that’s as far as it goes. Found the fit rather snug compared to my other bike items and then after one wash it shrunk. So yeah disappointed to say the least.
