20 Best Shirt Stays For Police (2023 Updated)

I initially liked the stirrup stays, but they went pretty ratty looking pretty soon, and I needed pliers to fasten the loops. These are much easier to fasten, and once I got them to the correct length, they’re working very well so far.

They’re also more discreet than the stirrups.

I spent over 20 years on active duty in the US Marine Corps. During that time I used many different styles of shirt stays. The ones I got here are the best I hav3 ever used!

These are the best shirt stays in have ever used, I have been out on K9 tracks while wearing the straps and even after miles of running with them on they do not lose there adjustment.

I’ve been using shirts stays since 1996 being in JROTC in high school and continued using them while completing 8yrs of military service. I’ve been a police officer for the last 10yrs and I gotta say I’ve went thru shirt stays after shirt stays.

I purchased a set of these about 2 months and all I got say is they are very well built. I ended up ordering another 2 sets just to have back ups in the event down the road I wear the first set out. I tried many different shirts stays and these by far are the best built.

These are softer snd thicker than the usual brand I get, but after a week or so of wear, on of them is already popping off my sock.

I have been wearing Vanguard shirt stays for 30 years. I have tried others, but I can tell Vangaurd is the best ones and now it’s the only ones I’ll buy.

I really like this shirt, but it’s way too long. Like 60% of American men, I’m overweight, which means I look for shirts in the XXL range to accommodate my girth. Unfortunately, like far too many clothing manufacturers, LAPG seems to equate “big” with “tall”, leading to a shirt that fits well across the chest and stomach, but which hangs down to the middle of my thighs.

I look like I’m wearing a nightshirt. So, I have to tuck the shirt in, but this ruins my concealed carry, meaning that I can really only wear this shirt in those places where I won’t be armed (and there aren’t many of those).

Fits great and very functional. Looks great too! Only things I would change is the loop for the sleeves to button up is on the back of the sleeve. I would relocate to the sides for easier unfolding. Sleeves are a little tight especially if you have bigger muscular arms.

As far as cosmetics go I love the front pockets. I would like to see a style with epaulettes.

This shirt feels substantial. It’s very comfortable for me, I work in a server room. This shirt keeps me warm enough. The fabric feels tough, so it will wear well, and not rip when working around equipment and installations.

I will get more. They’re also great for concealed carry, legal in my state. Huge bonus.

These work great, they do exactly what they’re advertised to do. Makes your shirt look nice and stay tucked it. Works with dress socks, not athletic socks. Wide adjustment range. The metal clasps are not overly annoying.

So what’s the catch? These are terrible for your clothing. The clasps will stretch and ruin the fabric. I will keep using them, but only for special occasions, not daily wear. Overall, great product for the price.

At my job I am a very fit fashion guy who was constantly tucking in my shirt to keep that long and lean look in an effort to avoid the frumpy untucked look resulting from raising my arms. This was the miracle cure I was looking for.

Easy to use and I am able to place them in strategic places which maximize their efficiency. They should be called magical shirt stays instead of military.

These military shirt stays are made of good quality but this type with the rubber pull tab are not as universal as those with the metal clips which work on a wider range of shirt and sock material because they bite into the cloth.

These with the rubber tab work excellent as long as the shirt/sock material is thin which allows the cloth to be easily trapped between the rubber tab and the metal ring/clip.

I bought (3) TCKYOU belts during the sale they had over the holidays. Personally, I feel (1-2) would be sufficient based upon the users wear frequency but none the less the product did an outstanding job.

Couple critiques: – I wish there was a better way to keep the back strap down in the pant. When I wear a standard-length dress shirt and a mid-waist casual dress pant, the TCKYOU strap will often pop up in the back and show to others which is rather undesirable.

NOTE!: I have an extremely long torso, if you have an average torso you may not have this issue. – The last critique I have is I wish you could make the metal buckle about 5% slimmer. It is a little to tight getting between the button and shirt on most of my shirts.

Other than these things, I really like this product and I wear it frequently.

Gentlemen, I just wanted to let you know that I think these shirt stays are superior in every way to all other shirt stays out there! They are NOT overpriced at all. As with everything, you get what you pay for, and these stays are worth every penny.

I have found no equal to the engineering that went into this excellently designed product. I wish I had found you guys sooner. I had almost given up on the idea of shirt stays because I had tried several other brands, all of which were poor quality junk and I was unaware that there were any better options for me, until I found your website.

Received a few days ago. Shipping was fast and tried the product 2 days now. Feels great. Works well. I needed to adjust once during the day for a physical working day (lots of stretching included) and no adjustment needed during an office day.

Also helps with posture. Noticeable style difference. Only downside is that the buckle is too tight to fit the shirt button. But it isn_t really necessary to lock in the button to keep the shirt in place.

Product recommended.

Summertime in the old South is a miserable time. And carrying openly puts one at a real disadvantage. The solution is a lightweight shirt that covers that hot rod up. I wear mine unbuttoned with a t-shirt underneath.

And much to my surprise, I’ve been asked “Where did you get that shirt?” twice now. Always glad to turn someone onto the Guide.

I had purchased a similar product from another company, but I really didn’t like them, and when the elastic went bad I had to order more parts which I still didn’t like, but I didn’t know there was anything else out there that would work better.

I never thought I needed this product but I’m glad I discovered them. I’ve had the same issue as most guys, tucking in shirts and having to adjust frequently throughout the day. The story rings on from countless others but trust me this is worth your coin! This product has become part of my daily life and it actually works! It’s a learning curve the first couple of times but once you get used to them you’ll be a natural.

I don’t see myself getting another pair unless I wanted a different design or the pair I currently have tears or breaks, whatever the case be but I would certainly recommend this to ANYONE that would be interested and wants to eliminate the hassle of adjusting your shirt every time you move.

I could have easily gotten the cheaper alternative but I wasn’t too comfortable with the look of them, they honestly looked like S&M garters. So the KK&JAY were a great alternative. I use them everyday 5 days a week.

Ok. These work! So great not to have to spend time tucking in my shirt throughout the day. I’ve gotten compliments on looking trimmer. (I’m not though, it’s the Tuck!!) In the bathroom it’s a little perplexing when you need to have a squat.

Everyone has their preference I guess, but I simply unclip at the top of my socks and reclip just before pulling my pants on. Done. Took off a star because the thin black membrane between the clip and your calf is a bit thin for my comfort.

That clip against bare skin is itchy and a little sore by the end of the day. A bit more padding and making the clip wider both would help. Maybe if the clip had a bit of a curve instead of being dead-flat.

No matter. These things are great! And they work as advertised!.

I bought a second pair to replace ones I had for awhile. The little metal piece that connected the strap to the button fastener was starting to bend/ come loose and I was constantly having to fix it.

The new pair, while not having that particular issue, do not seem to want to stay fastened to my shirt/ socks. At any given time, I will notice one has come free and I have to find a restroom, etc to re-fasten.

When they are working, they are great. It’s nice not having to worry constantly about retucking your shirt. Just wish some of the parts were a bit more reliable.

Admittedly, I sometimes wear an extra large. But 90% of my shirts at larges. This shirt fits snug. I would recommend ordering a size larger.

Awesome design!! But the shirt fit like a baby tee!! I usually wear an extra large but this one fit me like a small.

Ordered the t-shirt because I was part of that thin blue line and proud of it. Just wish it was made in the USA instead of overseas!!

Overall uniform is quite good, much better then the one my job offers. Im 6’0 185 pounds and I got a medium sized uniform, after trying it on the uniform fitted pretty well around the torso and back area, however the sleeves are ridiculously baggy, I ended up getting this uniformed tailored just for that reason.

I doubt I could wear a small so I feel like I’m left with no choice but to get these tailored up a bit whenever I buy them. Overall great shirt, just wish I could save the extra money if it was fitted a little better.

When used with 5. 11 Tactical Taclite EMS Dark Navy Pants this shirt appears to be black in color. Shirt is well made and fits well. I gave three stars due to color difference. I am aware that “Midnight Navy” in the shirt’s description is different from “Dark Navy” stated in the pants.

However, since these are uniform items made by the same manufacturer it is my opinion 5. 11 should have noted the difference in the colors.

Shirt is high quality, looks good in very bright conditions as well. Does tend to bunch up in the back, it’s a very long shirt, but maybe it’s just my body dimensions (I had to have the shirt tailored anyway).

Feels like it will last a long time, just like all the other 5. 11 shirts and pants I own!.

The cost of your T shirts to wear under my uniform are of great quality. I will continue to order not only your shirts but other great items you have. I would much rather order from a smaller easier to deal with company like yours as these BIg companies that do not know their customers.

Great product, just runs like two sizes smaller than marked.

I am a big fan of what kk&Jay have done here, a modern solution for a problem all men have suffered at one point or another. They help achieve that slimline shirt look that is desired, minus the dreadful untucking.

I purchased the sockless ones, and the only downside is that if you want the strap part to stop sliding up towards your knee, you have to do them up pretty tight. Over the course of the day, the tightness starts to hurt, as if kinda cuts the circulation after 7-8 hours.

Not sure how this can be resolved other than loosening the strap, but this causes them to slide up. Minor inconvenience for the great look they help you achieve. Overall, great product and would recommend to any bloke.

I own both the original and the sock-less ones and they’re are both equally awesome! With a standing job before, I was in front of customers and always had to tuck in my shirt so look more put together.

This was before I transitioned to an office job where I’m sitting more of the time. With the discovery of these awesome shirttail garters, I never have to worry about getting up and having to tuck my shirt in constantly or reaching down for something and have worry that my shirt will untuck.

So far so good. They take a little getting use to but they are comfortable to wear for 16 hours. I don’t know how they would respond in a fight. I gave 4 starts because I don’t know how long they will hold up.

They work fine but I find they rub my legs as you walk causing irritation.

I have worked 27 years in corrections, I have had Blauer, Flying Cross, Perfection and other brands of shirts made of different materials and nothing I have worn in 27 years has been as comfortable as this shirt here.

I just got it so I can’t tell you how it will hold up yet but with the Temp 97 degrees outside the other day and our AC that doesn’t work that great in our Jail this shirt kept me cool and comfortable and I have never felt that way with any other shirt.

Going to order more along with the pants.

This is the most comfortable uniform shirt I have ever worn. It is super light but even better it’s extremely breathable. As I write my town has had its highest humidity of the year and it had been of little effect on me with these shirts.

They are a must.

Super shirt is very light weight, breathable and comfortable. This shirt can stretch to fit if you are looking for a more snug shirt. Compared to the polyester shirts that blauer offers, this shirt is way cooler in temperature.

Good for patrolIng in the hot sun.

My department recently switched to these from the traditional polyester. Huge step up in comfort, breathability, and overall functionality. Really nice having the extra pockets as well. Feels sturdy and I do not expect it to rip like the old polyester uniforms of the past.

I have been a member of the LEO community since 1974. When Blauer came along it was a definite change in duty wear and comfort. I continue to enjoy the Blauer named products I first wore as a younger officer on the beat.

Now as a supervisor I get to pick and choose good serviceable uniforms and outerwear for myself and those I serve alongside. I ordered too large and had to return but anticipate the correct sizes to wear.

The zipper attachment is always a game changer. Because I have to wear body armor under the uniform the stretch sides help with comfort. I have always liked the hook loop pocket design as opposed to the regular buttons.

The radio clip is definitely a plus to not need another device to hold one in place. The satin? Around the neck and shoulders help with durability. Overall it gives a crisp professional design.

I am not in law enforcement but I was looking for this type of uniform shirt to wear with jeans. Bauer makes this model in many different fabrics but I am happy to have chosen the wool version. There are many features on this shirt that IMO hold up better with heavier weight material.

Just the same it breathes very well for warmer weather. I recommend going with this wool version for durability and fabric quality unless you need a specific fabric for work. Fit is tailored and the body length is long enough to secure itself when tucked into pants.

When worn with a shirt underneath I can get away wearing this untucked which was my original intention. I own the black and silver/tan versions.

The fit is excellent. The Colorfast is superb. The shirt really keeps the wearer cool and comfortable. Make sure you turn the shirt inside out when laundering. Other clothing items in the wash may cause picking on the shirt if not washed inside out.

The wearer must be careful when coming close contact with a hook and loop product commonly referred to as “Velcro. ” If Velcro comes in contact with the base of the shirt, it could cause picking on the shirt.

I highly recommend this shirt.

Good overall uniform shirt. Sleeves are a little baggy. The look is overall good. Well made shirt. The fit is like the sleeves, a little baggy. I’m not wanting this shirt to be skin tight, just a little more snug so it doesn’t fit like a moo-moo.
