20 Best Shine Spray For Hair (2023 Updated)

I love this product. I have wavy coarse hair which I blow dry and straighten every day. I use a good shampoo/condition, leave in conditioner and heat protection products both before I blow dry and straighten.

But no matter what I use, my hair always ends up looking frizzy about 15 minutes later. You definitely do not need a lot or your hair will end up looking greasy. Trust me it took a little trial and error for good results but it was worth it! I wouldn’t recommend this if you have fine hair or hair that tends to be greasy.

If you do try it and put too much in, just spray some dry shampoo, this worked for me.

I LOVE this product and the smell it leaves! It smells like smarties candy and it makes my hair smell so sweet for days! I will say – I can’t really see a difference there could be one. I mainly use it for it’s amazing smell.

However, I like to spray it at the end of styling (after hairspray) so that my hair doesn’t feel so stiff from the hairspray.

This product is great for adding a bit of shine to dull, dry hair. It’s a nice lightweight product and it has a lovely sweet scent to it. Just be careful to hold the can back about 8 inches from your hair when spraying or it can make your hair look too shiny which gives it a greasy appearance.

Great finishing spray to add shine after styling. I have fine hair and don’t have any issues with this making my hair greasy. The only issue I have with it is that it smells TERRIBLE, think acetone nail polish remover.

I feel like it’s strong enough for people to smell it on me when I’m in public. It’s handy if you want to add oil to your hair but don’t like the grease, though I probably wouldn’t purchase it again.

This product is alright. It hasn’t left my hair amazingly shiny but it does an okay job. Maybe I need to put heat on my hair afterwards, like you have to do with a few of these Colorwow products. The thing that bothers me with this one is the smell and the vapor it leaves.

It clouds up the room! And the smell of it is too strong, where it could overpower any perfume you have on. Just not a big fan of this one.

I’ve had dark brown hair all my life until now and am used to having a lovely shine, but I decided to go “natural” – eventually – and my colour at the roots is grey with a smattering of brown and my hairdresser has lightened my hair to match so now it’s a very light brown/blonde/grey mix.

I have fine, dry, color treated hair and this is one of the best mousses I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried a lot in my 65 years. I thought because of the ingredients it might weigh my hair down and look greasy, but after reading others reviews I gave it a try.

So happy I did. It makes your hair look full, healthy and keeps your color looking great. It doesn’t dry my hair out at all, where most mousses that give me volume tend to. I will keep buying this for as long as they make it and I hope that’s a long time!.

I use this right out of the shower. It combs easily, seals split ends and gives glorius shine. USE SPARINGLY otherwise it will leave hair oily. Only complaint: the sprayer stopped working and I have half a bottle left.

Sprayer not clogged–it literally stopped spraying even though I have ran cap under piping hot water. Trying it a second time but if sprayer-thing happens again, I won’t buy a third time.

As a big fan of Oribe, I’m always willing to try their products! I got the Apres Beach spray a while back and while I do love it, I can only use it sparingly and in certain ways. When I use this product after washing my hair, I apply from the middle of my hair which is mid chest length) and below, manually create some waves with my hands and fingers and lightly and delicately blow dry, because otherwise when it air dries it gets crunchy and extra oily as I have oily hair to begin with.

However I really do love the shine and the bit of natural looking wave this product adds to my hair and makes it look beautiful (I wish I had a picture)! Plus it smells great! I feel like this spray could be used on a variety of hair types, but I would err on the side of using it sparingly if you have oily hair like me.

Price wise, I was fine with it, and while Oribe’s products can be expensive, they are totally worth it! If you want to give it a try I highly recommend the mini size to try it out!.

I have long tangly fine hair with a wave and am lazy so need something that doesn’t require blow drying or too much effort. I originally used this on dry hear and was a bit underwhelmed. It smelled nice but left my hair a bit crunchy.

Then I decided to try it on damp hair (as I noticed that it was also suggested in the directions) and it made a huge difference to the result. My hair is soft and bouncy with light, tousled waves like I would normally get at the hairdressers after a blow dry.

Long time Tigi product user. Love most of their pfoducts. Well, first off, let me say that I purchased this thinking it was a hair spray. I even asked the ladies at the front counter if it was, and I was told that it was.

I know you all are thinking “read the bottle lady”. Well, the print is do dang tiny, there was no way I could read it, therefore, relying on the staff at Ulta. That being said, I looked up how to use the product.

I do have hair that is frizzy, so I wasn’t completely discouraged when I read the product description and use. I sprayed a small amount on the ends where it tends to be the worst. It works pretty good.

Smell is ok. Just be careful how much you use.

I love using this spray after straightening or styling my natural hair to tame any frizz or add shine to my hair. I love using this instead of adding oil when my hair is a little dry because most oils weigh down my hair and I have to wash it out in order to style my hair again.

With this, my hair lasts until the next wash day and still looks good! It is so inexpensive at my local hair store compared to retail shops!.

I was so excited to try this product because I love the Eva Nyc brand so much. This shine mist is a first for me and I was very intrigued by it. First the the tie dye packaging is super cute and fun, it definitely will catch your eye.

The bottle is a good size so it should last awhile. I love the nozzle because it sprays the fine mist evenly. You can use this on your hair and body for a beautiful glow and a glistening effect. It definitely adds shine to my hair and it makes it so silky smooth.

My curls feel softer and they look spruced up after using this. I spray it on dry areas on my skin and it helped moisturize those dry patches very well. It made my skin have a dewy and healthy glow. My only con was the smell of the spray when you first spray it.

The smell reminds me of some kind of oil. It eventually settles and starts to smell better after awhile. Other than that it does exactly what it says. If you need that extra shine, this will be your go to.

I received this product for free for testing purposes. It was my first time trying anything from this brand. My hair type is dry with some natural curl in maybe the 2b2c variety. Heres how i uses this product.

First i washed my hair and conditioned it and then put a smoothing cream in. Then i flipped my hair upside down and sprayed it generously with this product while my hair was still very wet. I used a blow dryer on the cool setting to dry my hair while scrunching the curl and when it was about half dry i flipped my hair back and sprayed some more on the top layers and dried it on the cool setting a bit more.

From the first use i noticed my curls looked better than usual and had more definition. By my second use i noticed my hair felt softer and more healthy. Even my husband noticed the difference. What i didnt like about this product was the scent.

Its my first time using a hair product with cactus in it so maybe that is the scent i didnt like i dont know.

Chi Shine Infusion is my favorite Chi product. I use it on damp and dry hair. I love what it adds to my hair after I straighten it. It tends to appear dry even though it’s amazingly soft. The Shine Spray definitely is the finishing touch.

It also does wonders for my nails cuticles. I always wind up getting some on my hands, but I don’t wash it off, I use every bit by massaging it into my nails cuticles. The smell is amazing! However, it is an aerosol can.

So, make sure there’s airflow around you. It otherwise leaves a little ‘mist’ in the air around. Also, you don’t need much. If you use too much, it’ll leave your hair looking oily—which defeats the whole purpose of healthy looking hair.

For some reason, it’s irritating to my daughter and makes her cough. I’m just smart about when where I use it, because I’m not going to give it up!.

This stuff is the BOMB dot com! The smell is a little hard to describe but I love it, similar to other products in the original CHI line. I love the shine it adds after I curl or flat iron my hair. My hair type is thick and naturally wavy, so it may be a little different depending on your hair type, but I can use this lightly all over and my hair doesn’t look dirty or greasy.

I would recommend using sparingly around your roots though—just my preference. I imagine for finer hair types it could make things look a little too shiny if you were heavy handed. A little goes a long way, and I get a ton of uses out of each can.

I absolutely LOVE Shine Infusion by CHI. First of all, CHI products smell sooo good and sexy. Second, this stuff gives you INSTANT shine and it feels absolutely phenomenal afterwards. A little goes a long way, so be very light with this until you get used to it! Spray lightly, brush it out and see if you even need anymore.

Design Essential products are excellent for natural hair. The Mist & Shine Dry Finishing Spray leaves a nice, light finish that looks polished and nicely styled. Hair is soft to touch with no residue.

Can be used daily w/o build up.

It is very moisturizing and gives a good sheen. My hair is naturally curly I don’t have the wave design perm. It does leave a little stickiness on my hair. I think I used too much, but I wasn’t expecting that.

I think it would do what I would love the results on my hair if I had the perm.

I am obsessed!!! I add this after I’ve done my styling to my hair and then do a quick run through with it in my hair (whether I’m styling wet or dry) and it just adds such a healthy shine to it. It also makes it so nice to run my fingers through my hair.

When I want to heat style my hair this oil spray protects my hair from heat damage. Any style I do stays in place and my hair looks more defined and super shiny! The moroccan oil scent is heaven. This oil does wonders for your hair.

I love all the products from this brand. So I have never written a bad review. I think all of their products smell so good. This product is used after you’re done styling your hair. You spray it on from a distance and then after a few minutes you run your fingers through your hair.

At first it looks kind of oily but after a couple minutes it just looks shiny. Like a healthy kind of shine, not an oily shine. I recommend this for someone who has dull hair and wants more radiance.

I bought this specifically as a detangler with the added benefit of shine. The product is described as 3 -in-1 Shine Spray Glossy Shine + Detangling + Heat Protection. I loved the fact that it contains Argan Oil which I am very familiar with.

My hair is longer than waist length, very healthy, natural (no color treatments at all), fine, curly and I have a lot of it. Where I live the temperature is currently 85F with 70% humidity. My hair is very reactive to humidity and I needed a product to help tame it and make it easier to comb as the humidity makes it expands greatly.

This product added shine but did nothing at all to ease my tangles, it feels sticky and almost feels like I sprayed hair spray on my hair actually making it harder to comb through the tangles, almost like it set the tangles.

I used 1/3 of the bottle just trying to comb through tangles with it. Poured the remainder down the sink in disgust. Horribly disappointed and would never recommend this to anyone.
