Best Shield For Spirit Runeword (2024 Updated)

After leaving cycle gear to be honest I was having some buyers remorse about the photo chromatic shield. Before the shield arrived however I was riding westbound around 5 PM directly towards the sun.

Quite blinding, and a bit unsafe. There was a point where I could just barely make out the white line on the shoulder of the road the sun being so bright my eyes. I missed my former helmet, a Bilt because of the built in drop down sun shield.

The new shield came and I installed it on my helmet, and added the vapor shield on the inside. At first I didn’t think I was pleased. But I noticed the sun wasn’t bothering my eyes, I just didn’t recognize how dark the shield had gotten because it happened so smoothly.

It wasn’t until I was at a stoplight and looked at myself in the rearview mirror of the bike, and realized how dark the shield had gotten. I highly recommend buying the photo chromatic shield, it really has made riding very comfortable.

We bought this mouth guard a few weeks ago, and it has been a great asset to our son. We love that it doesn’t have to be molded, and it allows him to breathe really well while he’s playing. He’s a QB, and says the way it fits makes it really easy for him to say his cadence.

He appreciates that the mouth guard is shallow enough that it doesn’t trigger his gag reflex, like some other mouth guards he has used in the past. The helmet strap doesn’t get in his way or cause any discomfort, because of the lip guard part of this mouth guard.

Nice look and good quality but the security of the interlocking of the mouth and lip guard could be better. I had the pieces installed correctly but sometime during an intense football game the lip guard popped off the front end of the mouthpiece and I lost it.

My son has a problem with the mouthpiece staying connected to the strap. Also the mouth cover comes off the mouthpiece to easily when you have to put the strap back on to the mouthpiece. There is also the one size fits all but I think it’s a bit to big for smaller kids or children.

The plus for this is no boil.

Pokmon Sword is an enjoyable game, as Pokemon games typically are. However the difficulty, depth of the plot, size of the region, constant handholding, removal of GTS, minimal post-game content, and availability of less than half the full National dex (meaning that the missing Pokemon will NEVER be available to transfer to the game, nor will they ever be patched in, as confirmed by developers) leave much to be desired.

Yes, there are enjoyable aspects of the game such as QOL improvements, certain new species, implementation of an open world area, (which is far from perfect but still fun) but for the first game of the most profitable franchise on the planet on an extremely powerful console, this game earns a resounding ‘meh.

‘ This could have been revolutionary but instead is just ‘a new Pokmon game’ which unfortunately does not say much.

Thoroughly enjoyed this as I’ve enjoyed the past Pokemon games. While there are some features missing from this installment – most notably, half of the roughly one thousand species of Pokemon that make up the total count – there was also some fun new twists.

Dynamax and Gigantamax offers something like a combination of Z-moves from the last games and Mega Evolution from the installment before that. As always, the competitive battling scene will keep these games interesting for many months to come.

Pretty good instalment to the Pokémon franchise. I’m only not rating it 5 stars because they shouldn’t have cut the Pokédex. Given I have played Pokémon since 1998 I feel that it is still a good adventure despite the lack of many of the Pokémon I like.

If you are new to the games then this won’t bother you, and you should be able to appreciate its quality. Good for young and old.

Correct face sheild for MSA cap style skullgard and v-gard hats with MSA visor frame 10158800 This is the same as Grainger part number 22EY56, but is cheaper here. As for the product itself, not the most scratch resistant visor by a long shot, but it’s acceptable there.

The height is a nice balance between coverage and being able look down, and the bevel + angle in the corners very considerably cuts down on bulk and bumping it on things. All in all, quite thoughtfully designed.

This visor is a little lighter in weight. I was looking for a lighter option for when I have the visor rotated up. Do to directives at work, I needed a visor to ware in place of a face mask when social distancing wasn’t an option.

This fit the bill perfectly.

As always a nice product from Shoei, I am a generally a fair-weather rider so this stays on my helmet most of the year. In the late Autumn, Winter and Early Spring months, I find a tinted visor essential.

There is nothing worse than coming around a corner to find the sun low in the sky and reflecting off a damp road. In the summer I find it more comfortable and easier on the eyes than sunglasses. Although it looks very dark when on your helmet it lets more light in that any pair of sunglasses I own and I have never felt like it limited my vision on darker roads under trees or bridges.

I’ve been wearing Shoei for 20 years, and got a RF-1200 two years ago. Been struggling to find a shield with the right amount of tint. Would love the “transitions” shield, but $200 is far too much. I would be offended by myself if I spent that much on a shield.

So I tried this Spectra shield, which is supposed to be red-orange. First, I can’t understand the almost $100 price for just a tint (vs. $65 for smoke), and second, it’s gold in color, not red or orange.

Fortunately, it works well as a tinted shield. Very clear to view through, and complements my reddish sunglasses, making everything look a bit gray. It’s also a good fit for slightly cloudy days. Delivery from Revzilla was 2-3 days, faster than expected.

That has always been my experience with them. I really wish Shoei would make the Half-Tint for the RF-1200; I have one for my older RF-1000. Guess I’ll have to put some tape across the top 1 inch of this new shield.

J’étais sceptique sur l’efficacité mais au final c’est parfait. Jusque là j’avais 2 vissières, une teinté noire et l’autre claire pour rouler de nuit. Maintenant plus besoin de changer, c’est bluffant comment elle devient complètement noire lorsqu’il fait soleil.

C’est cher mais pour moi ne plus avoir besoin de changer ma issière est un vrai plus.

Je ne voulais pas avoir une visière fumée en permanence car je trouve ça dérangeant la nuit ou dans les tunnels par exemple. Avant d’avoir cette visière j’étais donc soit forcée de rouler les yeux à moitié fermés à cause de l’éblouissement par beau temps, soit forcée de jongler avec mes lunettes solaires.

Cette visière est donc une libération incroyable ! C’est juste tellement pratique, je regrette de ne pas l’avoir achetée avant. La transition entre le clair et le fumé est hyper rapide au soleil, l’inverse également dès que ça se couvre ou dans les tunnels.

C’est parfait, je ne pourrais plus jamais m’en passer je pense ! Je la porte depuis quelques semaines, RAS pour les rayures pour le moment.

après l’achat de mon NXR Flagger TC5, j’ai acquis l’écran CWR1 photochromique. Après quelques sorties ensoleillées, je ne peux que recommander cet écran. Les transitions écran clair vers sombre sont très rapides.

Dans l’autre sens (foncé vers clair) c’est un peu moins rapide mais ca ne gêne pas tant que ça. En plus, pas besoin d’avoir de lunettes de soleil ou d’un 2nd écran pour la nuit. C’est vraiment TOP. Bien sur, le prix est élevé surtout qu’il faut ajouté le pinlock, mais ça en vaut vraiment la peine.

Au final, avec un peu de chance et les réductions l’écran + pinlock, m’auront couté 170€ (merci les 15 ans de motoblouz) Pour le reste, service Motoblouz toujours au TOP.

I recently purchased a tinted shield and have been using it for the last several weeks without the Pinlock insert and the shield fogs all the time.

The new Pinlock insert makes a huge difference. Up here in New Hampsha’ it gets “chilly” in the fall and breathing heavy into a helmet with the shield closed can still overwhelm the anti-fog on the Pinlock insert.

With that said I am very happy with how well it works. I am investing in an Arai Corsair X helmet very soon and will definitely be putting a Pinlock insert in that one also. Well worth the investment.

Pinlock system is great. Works well. HOWEVER, I should never have had had to buy another clear shield that was Pinlock-ready, the one that came with my original, new Qwest helmet should’ve been Pinlock-ready.

These are EXACTLY the same shield, but the new one I had to buy has the two pins. That is ridiculous. I have an HJC helmet which I like equally as much, was less than half the price, is quiet, and included BOTH the pinlock-ready shield AND the pinlock insert.

The cost of my buying the new Shoei shield and Pinlock insert was almost as much as a new HJC helmet. That is just robbery by the manufacturer. No excuse. > But the visor and Pinlock are fabulous, and worked very well ’til a couple of degrees above freezing, on a long ride, where it did fog up a bit in some areas, but that had more to do with the ventilation of the helmet, than the sheild, I think.

But at those temps, there’s little that can really be done.

I bought the CWF-1 instead of the standard CW-1 because this model comes with more features but you don’t pay more for it. The Pinlock system is excellent and I would recommend to get a shield with it if you have the option.

It’s extremely helpful during those cold wet mornings when the shield fogs easily. Regarding the tear-off posts, they’ll serve just as aesthetics for me since I hardly use tear-offs even when I’m on track days.

On the other side though, it gives the helmet a more racing look. Another detail to consider is that every shield with tear-off posts is going to be flat, instead of having the curved shape from the standard version, which doesn’t really change anything.

Also, the tear-off posts don’t generate more noise (it was one of my concerns when I bought this product, and I’m glad I was wrong).

I ordered this last-minute for Christmas for my son. It arrived very quickly, in time for Christmas, and looks to be his favorite present. It is holding up well to daily sword fights with his brother.

Highly recommend for kids who enjoy pretend sword fights and battles with shields and/or like to play superhero. Great bang for your buck!.

At half the cost of a oem shield, it is a good buy. I like the fit and the reflection and color of the shield. Build quality seems to be very well made. I have purchased aftermarket shields in the past for my RF-1000 Shoei and they have never let me down.

If you are looking to customize your helmet and save some money at the same time, I definitely recommend getting this face shield, you won’t regret it. Hell for the cost you could purchase a back-up for a raining day.

Perfect fit for my RF-1200. Has a good tint and love the reflector finish. The little plastic knobs DO make a difference in airflow. The pinlock knobs don’t obscure vision. With the dark tint I have to make sure I have my clear shield on me in case I’m out when it gets dark.

Not quite oem but withstands rocks and debris as it should. Pinlock works perfect. Great value! Also has built in air grooves like the new visors to deflect air.

My little boy loves playing with this and his daddy does too! Great size for kids and adults and a really good quality product.

TraduciMostra in lingua originaleI have a Shoei X14 helmet with the clear vizor. I was worried that if i buy a smoked dark vizor it would be too dark but man was i wrong. Probably the best spent money this year! Not that the helmet looks very cool now it is absolutely amazing.

Visibility is super clear even if it gets a little bit dark. I definitely recommend this product. I do not recommend riding in the night with dark smoked visor though. I have it couple of months now, don’t know how long it will last but definitely would get it again.

Installation was very easy also fyi.

TraduciMostra in lingua originaleI’ve been loving my RF-1200 helmet. It’s my second Shoei, a replacement for my five-year-old RF-1100. I live in the coldest, foggiest, wettest part of San Francisco, where we love our Pinlocks because they keep our shields from fogging up in the mornings.

One day, I got a nasty scratch on my face shield and had to buy a new one. Revzilla’s information on replacement shields was a bit vague and I wasn’t sure I’d ordered the correct one. When it arrived, I installed it on my helmet and it fit perfectly.

Brilliant! I then took the Pinlock insert out of my old shield and tried to put it in the new one. It was completely and utterly WRONG! I didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning it; I guess I can live with having to crack open my helmet (like I did in my pre-Shoei days) when I stop at a light during my morning commute.

This item appears to be the stock X-14 shield (I may be wrong,) but it will also fit on the RF-1200 if you want to use it with tear-offs. Revzilla, please correct your listing for this item – it is NOT Pinlock-ready.

Customers who wish to use a Pinlock lens with their RF-1200 or X-14 helmet should probably order the CWR-1 face shield (Revzilla item no. 535810) instead.
