20 Best Shaving Cream For Sensitive Skin Men’S (2023 Updated)

I first want to mention I am HIGHLY disappointed that many of my beloved products have recently been converted to crappy cheap versions of the originals. I don’t know wtf happened or why, but seriously DSC, listen to your customers!!! BIG mistake!!! Although that being said, thankfully I haven’t noticed any change in the shave butter.

I can’t live w/o this stuff!! A little goes a long way and I rarely get any nicks or cuts, only some razor burn in the bikini area, but that could just be my skin being beyond super sensitive. This and the repair cream have been my HG products for 4 yrs now.

I only have a little bit of the repair cream left so I’m praying they didn’t change the formula for that as well but honestly, I’m debating whether or not to find substitutions and cancel my subscription all together.

I know you aren’t reading this review for anything other than the shave butter, but I have to mention I will no longer purchase the repair serum, or the calming amber lavender body wash my fiancé loved so much, seeing you changed those too.

I’m really not trying to be a hater but I’d bet money you’ll quickly go out of business if you don’t revert back to the products that I and so many others USED to love. That’s just my opinion.

DSC works for me! I have for many years used Barbasol shaving cream and would occasionally try some other more expensive brands, but I would always go back to cheap, old Barbasol. I got a free sample of DSC Shave Butter and I like it so much that I just ordered a tube of it.

What I like is that it works even when my razor blade is starting to get dull. It also rinses out between the multi blades with warm water, and less hair stays stuck between the blades, which is nice if I haven’t shaved for several days, as I now sometimes do since being recently retired.

It is clear, so it allows me to shave more precisely around my moustache and sideburns. I like how much better my skin feels after shaving with it and for me it cleans off well with a warm, damp, wash cloth.

It just leaves me with a nice close shave and a fresh clean feel on my face. If it is consistently this good, I think I will be buying this product again and again. I do think it is a bit expensive, compared to what I am used to spending, but at this time it seems worth the extra money.

I have discovered that while I prefer your shaving lather to this for shaving, this Shave Butter quite outperforms your hand cream as a skin cream. I had callouses on my hands and wrists that were both thick and rough, and would grab on to anything woven or made with yarn.

I have tried just about every skin/hand cream on name brand products with little to no results. On a whim I tried using your Shave Butter because it had been sitting there unsealed for a while, and I didn’t like the idea of wasting it.

After a week it had out performed everything else I had tried for the last 30 years. After a month the callouses were still thick, but the skin was softer and smooth like normal skin. After 6 months the size and thickness of the callouses is greatly reduced and the skin is still soft and smoother than it’s been in decades.

I have purchased this and the other macca shaving cream for several years. They are the only shaving creams that I will use. I have thick, fast growing facial hair. In less than 3 weeks I can look like a full-fledged manly lumberjack.

Most shaving creams have not been satisfying—they might be too lightweight to cover the stubble, or they fail to significantly moisture the stubble prior to shaving, or they leave my skin dried out after I finish the shave.

This product works great. Thick, thorough coverage, that fully moisturizes the hair and makes the intensely macho stubble easy to cut and achieve a close shave. And it leaves my skin soft and hydrated after I finish shaving and rinse my face.

With this shaving cream I can go from being a rugged outdoorsman to a sophisticated business leader within minutes, looking great the entire time.

Sometimes products do evolve and it’s a wonderful thing – this is such an example. I’ve used The Body Shop’s shaving cream forever. It is BY FAR the best. A little bit harder paste one used only a little and lathered it on your wet face.

Took a little effort, but easy enough and fabulous. This update seems to add a little more moisture to it, so it is much softer and creamier. In the end, just as good as the original, but you’ll use a little more and the lathering effort is simplified.

I always liked the Maca Root shave cream: easy to lather, excellent cushioning, and great aftershave feel. Only thing I was not crazy about was the fragrance. Seems like people either like it or are so-so.

This new version still carries the same fragrance, but I find it more subdued. I believe most Maca Root users will be pleased with this version. For me, an added bonus is the new men’s moisturizer. It has a very nice, subdued citrus scent which covers the faint shaving cream scent.

Together, they are a wonderful combination. Hard to find a better shave cream at the sale, or even the full price.

There’s obviously a lot of people that leaving negative reviews. I was not a user of the “old” product. But I LOVE THIS product! It’s scent is perfect. It is NOT too strong and smells nothing like all the junk sold at big box stores.

A little bit goes a long way so this tube will last a long time. It lathers up quickly and creates a slick, white cream that lasts. Everyone’s preference is different. I like that this foams enough but not too much and gives a nice shave.

I do wish that L’Occitane would put more effort into men’s products, with more variety. I like what they have. I use the Cade shave oil and aftershave balm. But they could do more. They have something unique to offer for men like me that don’t care much for the musty old barbershop smells that so many other so-called “high end” shave products have.

For now I’ll keep using this and hope that L’Occitane creates new products to try.

This review is for the new, updated Cade shave cream. I’ll start by saying that I loved the original Cade and planned to continue using it as long as I had a need. So I was quite surprised and disappointed when my new order of shave cream arrived and looked different, smelled different.

a big tube of disappointment is what I had. BUT, it was here and I needed to shave, so I figured what the hell, I’ll try it. and. ITS AMAZING!! Literally no irritation, no razor burn, no bumps, and my face is smooth! So I don’t really care for the new scent, it smells like cedar to me.

It’s not bad, but it’s not the intoxicating smell of the old Cade shave cream. Bottom line: Cade is a superior product and indeed does provide better lubrication and skin protection. You might not care for the scent, but your face will thank you for using this.

My husband says he loved the original, hated the temporary version, but now it’s back to the original. The bad reviews are given for the temporary version which means the company listened. Sadly the negative reviews remain.

Wanted to post this because he doesn’t want the product to be discontinued if people don’t buy it based on those reviews!.

I’ve been double edge and straight razor shaving for several decades, and have recently expanded my shaving gear collection – mostly vintage Gillette and Schick razors. Blades have come a long way since even the 1960’s.

Artisan manufacturers have exploded in number, and some make exceptional shaving soaps. I’ve been using Cremo for a while now, and just bought a new tube at Walmart. With some free time to spare, I actually read the instructions on the tube – apparently all of us in the wet shaving community at Badger and Blade have been doing it all wrong.

I bowl lather with a brush, using a dab of Cremo, adding a few drops of water at a time to whip a dense and merangue-like lather that is unexcelled for its’ lubricity and smooth shave. A fine shaving lather is made using equal parts of Cremo and another shaving cream, or even the lowly unglamorous Williams puck soap loaded onto a brush from the puck and bowl lathered, incorporating a dab of Cremo.

Cremo makes even the best lathers BETTER, and enhance the smooth shave performance of any of my multitude of blades. The blades also last longer, giving several more smooth and close shaves than with any other soap I’ve ever used.

Rubbing it on your face to shave is OK, but the fun and skill is using Cremo, alone or to enhance even the most expensive Artisan Soap is bowl lathering. I’m a big fan and promote Cremo in Board & Forum discussions when the opportunity arises.

Until I visited your website, I was unaware of the variety of Cremo shaving soaps you make. Only the Original in the white tube with red lettering is available in any stores near me. Looks like I’ll have to try some of the other varieties, now that I know they’re out there! Cremo is the best there is and will always have a place on the shelf of my Shave Den.

The best shave money can buy is with bowl-lathered Cremo, my original Old type 1903 Gillette razor and a quality Chrome or Platinum blade. High tech, fancy and expensive modern razors and cartridges come close, but still can’t equal or surpass my daily close, smooth & perfect shaves – Cremo makes it possible!.

I purchased this for my husband. He has oily skin with some congestion. This shave gel has been a lifesaver! He no longer gets irritation or breakouts after shaving. His skin is nourished, soft and hydrated.

I have been using this Elemis Shaving Gel for six years. I was given a travel size in a British Airways First Class amenity kit and I never stopped using it after my first time. The blade slides without any resistance.

Also unlike the foams or gels that make foams, it does not separate the blade from the surface of the face making impossible to have a close shave unless you keep passing the blade through the same area creating irritation.

I’ve used Gillette products forever and have always been pleased. This new shave gel continues to raise the bar for the industry leader. The gel itself goes on easy, lathers very well, and holds in place even on the wettest skin.

I shave in the shower and cheaper gels often slide, but not this gel from Gilette. I also found the cap-free design awesome. It’s my favorite part. A quarter turn opens the cannister, and a reverse quarter turn puts it back in storage mode.

I was excited to get my Gillette PRO Shave Gel for Men. I shave at least every other day and I like using rapid foaming shave gel when I shave. Gillette makes a lot of high-quality products and this shave gel is yet another one of those products.

The Gillette shave gel is made with a unique Advanced Glide Formula which allows the gel to cool and sooth my skin while protecting me from skin irritation while I shave. The gel turns into a thick lather that feels great on my face and lets me get a close shave that feels good without irritating my sensitive skin.

The shave gel also works to hydrate your hair and clean your skin, giving me a clean, close, and smooth shave! I love using Gillette PRO shave gel and I would strongly recommend the Gillette PRO Shave Gel for Men to anyone that shaves on a regular basis.

I honestly don’t know what’s different about this compared to the normal Gillette Series gel. Maybe I’m too much of a guy to care enough to notice the slight differences between this and the normal Gillette gel I use.

I shave my head every other day, and this works just as well as the non-pro stuff. It doesn’t feel different on my head and is just the same at moisturizing. The bottle definitely feels and looks more high end.

But the button doesn’t work as well as the normal bottle. Overall, I say it’s perfectly fine stuff but I’ll stick to the normal Gillette series bottle because the button works better on that.

I love how just a small amount will easily lather into thick, creamy luxury for my face. The cooling menthol tingles and soothes my skin. I actually leave the extra cream on my face after the shave is over to feel the same effect again.

This cream provides the perfect glide and richness needed for a baby butt smooth shave. I love the light scent that actually feels like you did just leave the barbershop. It lingers on the skin for hours afterward and blends nicely into skin scent as the day goes on.

This is now my only shaving cream I will use/need. Well. this or the RMB Sandalwood shaving cream, which I also love. You will be very pleased with this product.

Only shaved one time and it was really good. I am sure all shaves going forward will be winners. Thx. The product smells good and feels good on my face. Highly recommend.

So far I prefer the Sandalwood shaving cream. Maybe I’m not using it correctly but I need to use a lot more of this Barbershop shaving cream because it does not lather up. I was expecting the opposite.

I just received the Sandalwood Pre-Shave Oil and I will try the Barbershop shaving cream after applying the oil and see how that works out.

I’ve been wet shaving for about 5 yrs and have used several different creams and soaps. I wanted to let you know how much I really enjoyed your shaving cream. it’s just fantastic for me. I love the scent (present, not over-powering), the lather (rich, long lasting, doesn’t dry out on skin), and I also noticed a particularly good amount of cushion.

I have sensitive skin with a coarse beard. I had shaved the previous day before using this cream – I often experience irritation when shaving on consecutive days. I did not have any irritation from using this cream, even after making 2-3 passes.

I kept re-applying lather under my nose because I enjoy the scent so much. Most importantly, I got a very smooth shave which lasted the entire day and evening. My skin felt great post shave and after.

Products with more natural ingredients and less synthetic chemicals are important to me. I’ve found that shaving products are generally notorious for containing chemical agents which I don’t want on my skin.

Not the case with Rocky Mountain Barber Sandalwood shaving cream. I hope you find my review helpful and continue making high quality products with natural ingredients. I’m looking forward to trying your Cedar soap and Textured hair paste.

The cream is exactly what I was looking for. I shave at the gym and am trying to go plastic free. This cream can be used brushless so that’s a bonus for me. I was surprised to see a plastic lid liner and don’t understand waht function this serves.

I’ve removed mine and don’t seem to be experiencing any adverse effects. Also there was a plastic seal on the unopened product. I’m glad to see it hasn’t been opened since manufacture, but this is shaving cream, I’m not worried aobut my safety.

The honey I buy at the store has a paper sticker as a sealer which would seem to be suffifient for your product. I don’t recall the plastic sealer being air-tights so I think it could be nixed for a more eco-friendly option.

again, the cream is great, the tin is wonderful, but those two pieces of FOREVER plastic were a bit of a turn off.

I always get razor burn on my neck when using regular supermarket shaving products and now that’s a thing of the past. I bought the sandalwood after shave balm along with the shaving cream. They’re both earthy and subtle.

I love this fragrance and more importantly, so does my wife. I lightly twirled my brush in the container of shave cream (just enough to coat the very top of the bristles) and then used my shaving bowl to get a very decent lather.

The shave was exceptional and the lather didn’t dry out on my face like a lot of other creams I’ve tried and I’ve tried many. I used very little after shave balm (less than the size of a dime) after a cool water rinse and came away with my face feeling fresh, smooth and unblemished.

Considering how little of the cream and balm I needed for a completely superior shaving experience, this is one heck of a bang for the buck. Rocky Mountain Barber Company just found a new loyal customer.

In my opinion, five stars, well deserved.

I was happy to receive this #freeproduct in exchange for my honest review. Since my husband has sensitive skin I shared this product with him. He was pleasantly surprised at how creamy the lather was and with no perfume smell to contend with.

It allowed the razor to travel smoothly over his skin. No nicks or cuts. Afterwards there was none of the stinging irritation that comes from using old fashioned shaving cream. The only downside was the amount of cream that the new can dispensed.

Just a brief tap produced enough gel for several shaves. That will take some getting used to. He plans to stick with this product and said he would highly recommend it as well.

I received a #freeproduct of the Nivea Sensitive Shaving Gel from #trywithtopbox so that my hubby can try it and post a review. Firstly, it’s been a long time since my cheap husband has bought a shaving gel as he has been using some foamy soap as a shaving aid.

Needless to say, his current shaving protocol has not proven successful on his dry and sensitive skin. He does admit that he was in the “lap of luxury” using this product. The gel was soothing and foamy with a pleasant scent and felt that his facial hair was really being pampered.

A little went a long way in application. This gel left his skin soft, feel of razor burn and completely hydrated. He will definitely buy this product in the future!.

The lather was soft and gave my razor a good glide, so no knicks. The scent was also very clean and not overpowering. The only reason its not a 5 star for me is the packaging. Although I really love the branding and how sleek the product looks, the pump head shot out the gel with such force that it actually hit my wall the first time I used it.

Finally a product for my partner to try! His routine is to shave around one or twice per week. He has sensitive skin and after shaving, his skin did not dry out and had smooth skin and even looked a few years younger! This shaving foam is great for sensitive skin as it contains chamomile and Vitamin E.

On top of that it is alcohol free! The shaving cream is really easy to use, the dispenser provides enough product after the first squeeze. The smell and the texture are very pleasant too. This product is definitely going to be added to my regular purchases.

I am using Bic Flex 5 for a few months. Shave 3 times a week. Use blue-box Nivea foam before shaving. These 2 products combined make it possible for me to shave with blades. No side effects like skin irritation.

I must admit that for the last 20 years I gave up shaving with blades. So it was a very positive experience to experience the technical progress made over several decades. It is also affordable. Small quantity of foam is sufficient.

Blades OK for 5 to maybe 10 times before significantly dull.

Having recently switched from brush shaving creams I have been looking for a cream that lifts facial hair and allows a close, non irritating shave. LAB series make a good thick, cream that does the job – however this Anthony cream has a couple a advantages.

Firstly – the eucalyptus scent is lovely, noticeable when you apply but not cloying and will not interfere with any balm that you may use. I could not detect the rosemary – but the cream lubricates well and (even with 2 days growth) the blade moves cleanly through stubble.

Secondly – the size is fantastic – 90ml and a super slim bottle means it fits neatly into the 100ml bags for travel and takes up minimum space. Great addition to the range!.

This has done wonders for my sensitive skin! He has to have a close shave every day for work and most shaving regiments irritate his skin. This has been a lifesaver for him and so I am happy to buy over and over and over again.

This product is amazing. I can never go back to any other shaving product again. This will work for people who have a little to shave or a lot to shave. It gives such a close and smooth skin.

I wish I’d read these reviews before I purchased this product as I am experiencing the same problem as everyone else – the can refuses to give up the foam, but the can is still half full! I’ve read & performed the trouble shooting recommended by Gillette – nope, doesn’t work.

Gillette claims that “in rare occasions” this will happen. Nope, seems it happens to everyone. Last time I buy this product – I’m switching brands today! Too bad, the product itself is very good, but useless if it stays in the can!.

Tried this twice hoping the first experience was a faulty product. Discovered that wasn’t the case – while still 3/4 full, gel barely dispenses from container no matter how much you shake it beforehand or invert it.

Cheaper than other shaving gels, but you get what you pay for. While Gillette may make decent shavers, this gel is garbage. Haven’t had any issues with the Schick shaving gel I’ve since purchased.
