20 Best Shaving Cream For Men’S Sensitive Skin (2023 Updated)

ok so I bought this for fun just to try it out and I fell in LOVE! It’s so smooth and my skin had no reaction to it whatsoever and it smelled amazing! I’ve already had it for over a month and have shaved my legs once every week or so and still haven’t gone through a whole bottle yet! I absolutely love this stuff it’s amazing and is smooth as butta’.

The ONLY complaint I have is the pump. I saw other people that had this same complaint. It doesn’t bother all too much it just gets stuck sometimes I think the reason it does that is because they’re using the same pump as they would for a lotion, though it’s a little bit thicker than lotion itself! It would be nice if there was a squirt too if that makes since like the ones for shampoo that was it’s not like shaving foam and you OVER USE IT A TON! i do like the top since it limits you on the amount you’re using so you are more self conscious about how much you’re using or how much you NEED! so it gets an A from me!.

This eos Pomegranate Rasberry Shea Better Shave Cream is so luxe! It is not a traditional shaving cream as it is not an aerosol and it doesn’t foam. It’s almost like a thick cream to oil formula once it hits your skin.

I was really surprised when I used it as a little goes such a long way. Spreads like a dream. The shave was very smooth, like get in bed and rub your legs on the sheets smooth! It has a nice slip and I immediately knew I didn’t have to worry about cuts.

The razor just glides easily over your skin. The scent is a beautiful blend of pomegranate and raspberries. It is a light fresh scent. Nothing that smells artificial or over powering. The scent also doesn’t linger so it won’t compete with any scented products or perfume you apply after.

It doesn’t leave a residue but rather it moisturizes while in use and your skin holds on to that moisture. Doesn’t leave your skin feeling stripped at all. I did notice I had to rinse my razor just a tad bit longer but we are talking about a couple extra seconds, so not a big deal.

Would make a great gift. Nice looking bottle, worthy of vanity display.

I didn’t even realize eos makes shave cream but man am I glad they do! This stuff smells so good! It’s raspberry pomegranate scent but honestly it reminds me more of a watermelon Jolly Rancher. Using this makes the whole bathroom smell divine.

I’ve recently tried the pomegranate raspberry hand cream and for whatever reason I don’t feel like they smell the same at all but this shaving cream smells so great in its own way that I’m not complaining at all.

For whatever reason I thought this was going to be a foam like most other shaving creams I’ve used but it’s got a pump and comes out like lotion. I kind of like that because I don’t feel like I’m wasting a whole lot and a little goes a long way.

There feels like there’s a lot in the bottle too so hopefully this lasts awhile. My legs felt silky smooth, my razor didn’t get stuck or nick me anywhere, and the scent lingered for awhile after I got out of the shower.

All wins in my book! Y’all it was only about $3. 50 too which can’t get any better. I think I’ve found my new favorite go-to!.

To say I wasn’t thrilled to see Kiss My Face Shave Cream in stock would be an understatement. It is the only shave cream I have sworn by and used for years before it seemingly disappeared. I love everything about this shave cream & highly recommend for anyone who is sensitive.

So many shave creams bother me & this never has. The only flub I have ever had with this shave cream is opening the pump which is why I’ve always kept a spare from a previous bottle because I’ve broken them.

But the pump feature is still my favourite thing as I think it controls the amount perfectly, but I find just initially getting it opened can be tricky for whatever reason.

I can honestly say that there are few personal items I’ve consistently purchased over the years but this is one of the very few of them. Everything this product claims to do, it does. It’s creamy, moisturizing and doesn’t leave weird white mystery clumps of nonsense in your tub/shower.

it was a gift for my husband, and he couldn’t be more happy with quality of this shaving cream. You need a small amount of cream to make a foam, scent is amazing, not too strong. My husband has a very sensitive skin and this cream doesn’t irritate his skin at all.

One big concern, why we didn’t buy it earlier? ) Together with Fendrihan shaving brush and shaving bowl the morning shaving routine became an Art. Thanks from both of us ).

A little goes a long way. Gives a decent lather, even compared to more expensive products. I love the scent, but that’s subjective. It’s a pleasant, clean scent. Awesome product for the price. I have sensitive skin and this didn’t irritate at all.

Will be buying TOBS again for sure.

When I went to Kent I had no clue what I was looking for but was tired of shaving irritation and wanted to try something new. The person that helped me was fantastic showed me all the products and gave me some cost effective solutions to try before I jumped off the deep end.

Even demonstrated how to whip up a good lather. The TOBS has been great, and I’m hoping to try some new ones in the future.

Am a bleeder, and I’m waiting for the Red Cross blood mobile to be just outside my house. This has actually cut down on the bleeding, but also has decreased razor burn. That alone is impressive. It’s far more gentle, lathers well, and also has a pleasing aroma.

Using shaving lotions or gels is touchy for me. Everytime I have my legs I get bumps and they itch. No difference with is no different. I believe some people’s skin on their legs just don’t want the abrasion.

It’s thick and foamy, and my husband’s go-to shaving cream. It has a very faint smell that doesn’t linger. Barbasol is very reasonably priced and found in almost all stores.

By way of perspective, I started shaving with safety razors, where you put a razor blade into a single or double-edged razor. I remember when Gillette invented the cartridge razor in 1971. I currently use a Gillette Fusion 5 Power Razor and have just ordered their upgraded Proglide razorblades.

I have used many shaving creams in my day, incl. soaps in a cup with a shaving brush, foaming creams out of a can, gels out of a can, etc, etc. I recently needed more shaving cream and instead of buying more of the Edge gel, which I was happy with, I decided to try a couple of the newer highly-rated shave cream products and ordered Harry’s Shave Gel and Cremo Barber Grade Original Shave Cream.

Harry’s was similar to the Edge gel I had been recently using, neither better nor worse. For my last several shaves I have used the Cremo Barber Grade Original Shave Cream. When I first followed the directions on the Cremo to lather up, using an almond size bit of cream out of the tube rubbed into my freshly showered face with warm water, I was disappointed and skeptical because I only managed a white film without noticeable lather.

But when I shaved I was amazed at how easily the razor glided over my face and how close my shave was. This is the best pre-shave cream, gel, or foam I have ever used. Out of habit I always start my shave with the grain of my beard and follow against the grain to get the closest shave.

After shaving with the grain with the Cremo my shave was so close I hardly had to shave much against the grain. I heartily recommend giving Cremo Barber Grade Original Shave Cream a try and see if it works as well for you, I’m hooked.

I received this product from topbox to try for free and provide my honest review. I sometimes give my spouse a quick beard shave and trim when possible,so it was exciting to try this product on him. The product has a good consistency and a really great scent.

It was easy to work with too,easy to press out of the tube and easy to apply using the palms. He wanted only to reshape his beard and not a total clean shave. A warm damp towel was placed on his cheek for a couple of minutes and taken off before applying the cream.

The cream looked like a paste when applied because we quickly realized a light rub did not do much in softening the hair,so texture matters abit. The shave was smooth, razor did glide easily without and pulling or tugging.

My spouse liked the feel of the cream on his skin too. It was a really good experience and we like that it contains great natural ingredients like Macadamia, Calendula and Aloe.

This product is primarily marketed to men, but as a woman, it’s still pretty great. I love the scent (masculine, but so NICE) and the moisturization. I find that a little goes a long way. I was apprehensive buying this because reviewers spoke of the product being too thick and unmanageable.

Let common sense be your guide and experiment with what works best. For me, I only need a nickel-sized amount of product to sufficiently cover an entire leg. Don’t treat this like Barbasol, friends – it’s cream, not foam! I have sensitive skin, but I’ve never once had razor rash using this product.

After trying this, I’m never doing traditional shaving creams again. I recommend giving this one a try!.

I have been shaving my head for 25 years. My face for even longer. I have used countless shave balms, foams, gels, etc. This is the ABSOLUTE BEST product I’ve used. I have been loyal to this product for 8-10 years now.

I have been watching it disappear from store shelves recently and could only get it through Neutrogena directly! I was beginning to panic at the thought of loosing my go too product!!!!! Leaves your skin feeling fresh and smooth!!.

This is the only shave cream I’ve used for years, it’s the only stuff that works for me, the “sensitive skin” variety was crap. First they discontinued their post-shave balm without any sort of announcement.

I was extremely disappointed when they did that; the balm was pretty much unanimously considered the best of its type by anyone who tried it, and my skin has suffered since they discontinued it several years back.

And now I can’t find this shave cream anywhere. If they’ve discontinued this, then I swear I will never buy another Neutrogena or J&J product in my life.

This is the first shaving cream I’ve actually ever used (I’ve dry shaved with an electric razor for the majority of my adult life. What the hell was I thinking. ). I really like Neutrogena’s products because they seem to work really well, and this is no exception.

Please take what I’m saying with a block of salt. As mentioned, I’ve not compared this with other shaving creams because I haven’t been using them. That being said, I still get a close shave with my new electric razor (which allows me to use wet and with shaving cream [hallelujah]), and I have minimal irritation.

This shaving cream gave me a close shave, did not irritate (thank you fragrance free!), and left my skin way more moisturized. This is my favorite shaving cream. I like that it’s a bit runny because when it’s too thick, it gunks up the razor.

If you have sensitive skin and are looking for something that won’t irritate you or create razor bumps Clinique for men is the go-to shave cream. At first i was on the fence about the product as i thought he brand was only for women but then i thought if women love it how can bad can the men product line be.

well now this is all i use for shaving as it leaves my skin very smooth cool and much softer after shaving. I am very picky when it comes to shaving cream as i dont like my face burning after a shave or itchy due to razor bumps this cream is amazing and i highly recommend it.

I love Cream Shave. I really do, but I’ve stopped using it ever since they changed the packaging from the old conventional toothpaste tube style to the nearly unusable short, fat stubby thing they sell today.

I had used Clinique continuously since it first came on the market, so they’ve lost another loyal customer. I have two main gripes about the “new” tube. First, it’s nearly impossible to squeeze out the last twenty percent of the contents because the tube is very stout at the neck and the tube top and, unlike the old screw off top, snaps off (and it’s hard to snap-the top is just not meant to be removed to squeeze the tube top).

This top, coupled with the fat, stiff new shape of the top, makes it significantly more difficult to force out the last part of the tube contents-more irritating effort than is worth it. Second, as has been well stated buy another reviewer, the new stubby shape is harder to grab in the shower, harder to manipulate with one hand and harder to squeeze out a usable portion.

I’ll add that I don’t think the new shape packs well into a conventional men’s dopp style toilet kit. The old tube was easy to use, easy to squeeze, easy to pack and easier to completely empty. Why they changed from the old tube to the new one is beyond me-it certainly did not result in a “better” package.

So join me with the other reviewer critical of the package. A competing company with the blue tube still has the terrific old style conventional tube package for its shave cream, and that’s where I’ve moved.

The shave cream is not as good as Clinique’s, but the package is way better, so much so that I’ve actually considered trying to find a way to put the Clinique contents into the competitor’s empty tube.

I have been using Clinique for Men exclusively for over 16 years. Every fragrance free paraben free product is worth the price. It is an investment in self-care. This cream shave is best in class. No nicks.

New scent is way to strong and not appealing. Why change a good thing that has been a staple in my household for countless years. I’ve always preferred Foamy original over Barbasol but I guess that is gonna change.

Barbasol is smart to keep its original scent since the 1950’s. Goodbye Gillette hope you change it back and make your customers happy again. Remember what happened when Coca Cola changed the formulation to Coke !! Hint Hint!! If you wanted to change the scent just bring out a new scent and call it something else.

I have used this product for 25 years or more. I just used the most recent product that I purchased and the strong fragrance just makes me nauseous. The smell is strong and just stinks. I used this product in the past because it was odor free.

Now it is completely ruined. I see the company response for these remarks and they cite their research BS but there are customers who prefer and need non-fragrance products. If that was your research then it failed miserably.

I have used this for years. I just ordered 3 online to stock up since they don’t carry it in store anymore. I am super disappointed! There is a strong manly smell now (I’m a woman that preferred this cream over feminine ones because of price, it was good for my sensitive skin and it had no scent) but also there’s some kind of menthol in it now because it kind of stung/burned when I was shaving.

The old formula was my “go to” but now I’m going to have to find a new shaving cream to use. But why do these companies try to fix something that isn’t broken?! Going to return these 3 cans!.

I use an electric razor(wet/dry) and I really like the product. It makes shaving very easy wilt little to razor razor irritation. The only problem with preventing a 5 was the delivery system. If you are not careful when you push to release the gel from the container you will get enough gel for five+ shaves.

Fantastic product. It is smooth with no irritation. The only user experience problem is the dispenser. Every time I depress the button on top for the first time, it dispenses about two-weeks worth of gel.

Can you fix that problem?.

Nivea Men’s products, for me, always perform way above their cost. The new shave cream is no exception. I used it without a brush and got a gentle, non-irritating shave. (I used a Dorco Pace 3 razor with a six day old blade.

) I followed it up with the Nivea’s sensitive shave balm. This is a great combination with two products that cost less than a total of $10. At times I use Clinique shave gel and Clinique’s Post Shave Soother.

These are also terrific products, but their combined cost is $43. Nivea is a great way to get a terrific shave, with change left in your pocket.

I use this with a barely wet badger brush. This helps to penetrate the beard and bring cream in closer contact with the skin. In terms of lubrication, glide and residual slickness this cream is as good as any out there and I’ve tried over a hundred.

My only two reservations are a lack of any detectable fragrance and the fact that it is so thin and in a pump means that it will probably not last as long as a firmer soap. BTW, the post-shave is also as moisturizing as any product out there.

I paid for this entirely myself.

I have a VERY TOUGH BEARD. Nivea Sensitive Calm Shaving Cream, is the second step, in prepping my face, for a blade. This is a VERY SLICK, SLIPPERY formula, which makes it ideal for getting a splendid, close shave.

My one objection, is the aroma. This should be a scent-free formula. Thanks !.

I received this product complimentary In exchange for my honest review. The smell alone is AMAZING. I love their pomegranate-raspberry scents. It comes in a pump bottle and I only use maybe half to one pump to do each under arm.

I have 0 razor bumps and my under arms feel so soft and hydrated. A little goes a long way! I tried it on wet and dry skin and it worked amazing either way! Definitely a favorite. I didn’t even know EOS made shaving cream before this! If you’re picky about your shaving cream and would like one that also leaves your skin moisturized and soft, this is definitely one to try! I think I’ll try the vanilla scent next.

Personally I preferred it on dry or damp skin because it lathers much better that way and you can use less product for the same amount of shave coverage.

Neutrogena Men Sensitive Skin Shave Cream works excellent. It’s a non-foaming/non-lathering cream that the user applies to the area being shaved and shaves away. It rinses clean, doesn’t clog the razor, and doesn’t make the edge of the razor hover so high above the skin that the user must choose between a close or irritation-free shave (though one _can_ experience irritation with enough effort and a can-do spirit…).

The non-foaming/non-lathering means one can’t use it as a moisture trap the way one might with soaps or creams that require whipping from a brush, but one also doesn’t chase down the right amount of tallow or glycerine if hard water is a concern.

It’s also much quicker to apply and wash off and that’s great. It’s awesome, works _much_ better and faster than the lather I was whipping from bar soap, and is simply handy. If one’s final pass when shaving is the much-feared against-the-grain pass, this shaving cream is the enabler the sinful user has sought.

I love Method products. When I saw that they offered a shave cream, I jumped on it, mostly ignoring the price. Verdict? It works. The scent is cool, not overbearing, with the occasional strange whiff of that old, edible pre-school paste.

The color choices on the tube could be better. It’s very low-contrast, difficult to read. The important bit: “To use: Rub it on, shave it off. ” (Really. ) I managed to do that on my entire face without it drying up or getting nicked.

In that sense, it works as well as my favorite shave creams. Now, back to that price. Is it worth paying roughly twice as much as Kiss My Face, Cremo, or Shave Butter? That’s up to you. Some are paraben free, some are cruelty free, some are biodegradable, some smell great or work great, some are plant-based/vegan, but only Method does it all.

If that’s your priority, here you go, big spender. I’ll probably go back to Kiss My Face when this tube is done.

Just got my Grove order today so was able to shaved with my Method Shaving Cream. Wow, Wow, Wow! The fragrance alone should make you love this shaving cream. Loved that I didn’t have to use much, a little goes a long way.

As I shaved my stubble it came off like vegan butter, haha. It was such a smooth shave. I dried off and touched my face and I’m like, whaaat? It is soooo smooth. I definitely recommend this shaving cream.

Close shave and great smell, what more could you want from a shaving cream. I am so happy to have found something that is Vegan friendly and animal cruelty free.

The shave cream is decent. I shave with a straight edge razor… So, I enjoy a cream that covers well with a thick layer over my skin. This shave cream does not apply thick, which would be good for a standard multi blade razor.

It is not heavy and covers nicely with a thin film like cream. I found the best application came from a Shaving Brush, just using my hands left the skin barely covered and left much of the product on my hands rather then my neck.

Before I buy a shaving cream, my main concern is whether it will help with razor burn, irritation, and redness. I also look at the scent that the cream has and try to choose one with a pleasant, “fresh” aroma.

I sometimes use different types of razors, i. e. , mach 4, safety razor, straight razor, so I would also like to get a feel as to whether the shaving cream can work into a thick lather, that will be a layer of protection against the razor.

Packaging & Design: I like the feel of the packaging and the design of both the trade dress and the utility of the can. The mess free cap which turns is interesting. It seems to work as intended. I’ve never had an issue with the nozzle becoming clogged with other type of shaving creams, so I’m not sure how necessary it is.

That said, it’s the first time I’ve used a gel based shaving cream, so perhaps clogged nozzles is more of an issue with them. Over all, I would give the package and design high marks. The Shave: As I stated, this is the first gel based shaving cream I’ve tried, and I must say that I really do like it.

It isn’t as messy as the “whip cream” like cans of cream and it easily works up a nice lather on the face and neck. The shave itself (using a mach 4 blade), is smooth and produces no irritation or razor burn.

The one area that I am not sold on is the intense “cooling sensation” that comes on after the area is shaved. I can’t say I hate it and it probably does ease some of the hot razor burn, but I don’t love it either.

Even so, it isn’t enough to make me not use the product. In fact, I will absolutely continue to use it. After the shave, it left my skin feeling soft and refreshed. There was no redness or inflammation.

It moisturized the skin and there were no dry, irritated areas, which is a common problem I encounter. The scent is pleasant and it does not overpower you. After the shave, there is enough of the aroma left behind to give me a fresh, clean scent as I start the day.

Conclusion: In all, I like the product quite a bit. It produces a good, comfortable shave. There is a small issue with the very intense cooling sensation that comes on strong after an area is shaved.

It can be a bit overwhelming at times, however, it may be responsible for the lack of irritation and/or redness that is common after I shave, in which case the sensation is worth the benefit. I have quite a bit remaining and I will continue using it until the can is empty.

I am certainly not an expert on shaving cream and have been using the same boring bargain brand for years and years. But I would definitely buy this product in the store, although I may look to see if they offer a type without the cooling sensation.

Great product and price for an excellent shave gel that is almost impossible to find locally. Schick free delivery is an added perk ! Only complaint this shipment is that the cans were not well packaged/restricted in the box (usually they are tapped together to form a stable block) and one can had lost its cap.

The cans themselves were fine.

This is one of the absolute best shaving creams I have ever used. I apply it differently than suggested on the tube. I make sure my face is wet and then I apply in sections. When all done applying, I rub my hands under water to lather up some and then rub that over my face to lather it up some.

I also use fairly hot water to rinse the blade as shaving cream can be a little difficult to clean from the blades. My face is very shave sensitive, but the camphor and menthol make this so much easier.

I have less nicks and cuts with this shaving cream and don’t feel my face is being excessively dried out or overly sensitive when finished. Of note however, my experience with Kiehl’s Customer Service has been awful.

Most online customer service takes approximately 30 minutes with all of the waiting and they essentially cannot give answers. Telephone customer service isn’t much better and they have awful attitudes.

I saw this shaving cream mentioned in ELLE DECOR magazine as one of designer Ken Fulk’s favorite products and decided to give it a try because I felt the product I was using was not that great. This does a really good job of removing the hair and rinses off well.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the menthol smell, but it’s not bothersome. You don’t need to use a lot, and if you get the big tube it will last a long time, and also be your best value. I have never been this pleased with a shaving cream.

I have tried all the shaving products at Ulta and this is the best! I have oily skin and can have issues with in grown hairs and razor burn. But not with Kiehl’s Brushless Shave Cream. Great scent and great close no nick shave.

My only suggestion is that Ulta start carrying this item in the stores. None of the stores in my south Florida area have this item. So I have to ship it. 🙁 Guys if you have a  tough beard and want to close shave use Kiehl’s.
