It also doesn’t foam that much. It’s also not as moisturizing so I still prefer my other body washes. I was most excited to try the No. 002 Extra Moisturizing Body Lotion ($10. 99) because it promises to soften, smooth and restore dry skin in a non-greasy, quick-absorbing formula.

I use a generous amount every time as I liked how #bodylotion applied to my skin. It wasn’t too sticky even in warm weather. It also leaves my skin smooth and moisturized. The No. 141 Men’s Shave Cream ($10.

99) has shea butter and coconut oil to soothe the skin while forming a barrier on the skin to prep face for a close shave. I let my husband use this #shavecream and he liked the texture and how it feels moisturizing right after shaving.

I used this on my legs as well but, personally, I prefer shaving foams. The No. 124 Lip Balm ($10. 99 for 3) aims to moisturize and protect the lips with coconut oil. It also has UVA / UVB SPF 15 for daily protection.

This #lipbalm moisturizes the lips the whole day. It’s also not that thick and it doesn’t apply glossy so I can easily apply this over or under lip colors. My husband swiped this from me already and loves it.

I think the Extra Moisturizing Body Lotion and the Lip Balm are standouts here but I’m just amazed by how inexpensive these products are. They also have a fresh and clean scent that will be enjoyed by everyone.

Hubby love the exfoliating soap by Marlowe so I thought I’d get him this shaving cream to try. According to him, it’s not bad. It has a nice faint scent, but it doesn’t leave a “clean” feeling. Not the worse shaving cream he has had but I will get him the one by Kiehl’s that he loves next time.

This smells so good!! I love the natural products they use and it’s a great scrub! I don’t use it every day bc it could be a little harsh and you don’t need to exfoliate daily! But I’ve been digging all the Markowe products lately.

I discovered this product in Berlin this spring April 2011. I have used shave cream for years as it is more convenient for travel than foams and lasts much longer. Nivea Razor Cream is by far the best I have found.

It goes on creamy, stays on long enough for a shave in the shower, really softens a tough beard, then rinses off easily. For some reason Nivea USA does not sell this product, and Smallflower is the only place I have found on line to order it.

If you like to shave with a blade you owe it to yourself to give this excellent product a try. The 3. 4 oz tube lasted me 90 days for under 6, a fantastic bargin too!.

This is a decent option for a shave cream in a pinch. Available at some drug or department stores. I prefer using it with a brush which helps it produce a decent lather. The scent is kind of like a body or hand lotion which I wasn’t really into.

If I had to choose between this and most lousy spray can products I would probably choose this but only if I didn’t have Proraso or another quality soap.

I tried many shaving creams. This one is the best by far. Tiny amount gives you rich, abondant lather and really softens the facial hair.

I have purchased this and the other macca shaving cream for several years. They are the only shaving creams that I will use. I have thick, fast growing facial hair. In less than 3 weeks I can look like a full-fledged manly lumberjack.

Most shaving creams have not been satisfying—they might be too lightweight to cover the stubble, or they fail to significantly moisture the stubble prior to shaving, or they leave my skin dried out after I finish the shave.

Sometimes products do evolve and it’s a wonderful thing – this is such an example. I’ve used The Body Shop’s shaving cream forever. It is BY FAR the best. A little bit harder paste one used only a little and lathered it on your wet face.

Took a little effort, but easy enough and fabulous. This update seems to add a little more moisture to it, so it is much softer and creamier. In the end, just as good as the original, but you’ll use a little more and the lathering effort is simplified.

I always liked the Maca Root shave cream: easy to lather, excellent cushioning, and great aftershave feel. Only thing I was not crazy about was the fragrance. Seems like people either like it or are so-so.

This new version still carries the same fragrance, but I find it more subdued. I believe most Maca Root users will be pleased with this version. For me, an added bonus is the new men’s moisturizer. It has a very nice, subdued citrus scent which covers the faint shaving cream scent.

Together, they are a wonderful combination. Hard to find a better shave cream at the sale, or even the full price.

I usually have around half a dozen Ursa Major products in my skincare line-up and thought I’d give this a try due to the stellar reviews here on the site and despite my friend who used it telling me it was awful.

Well, I should have listened to my friend. This is the first UM product that just seems like a total flop. I also see here on the official site is the only place with overwhelmingly positive reviews, everywhere else it’s a more balanced story.

The smell is great but it’s thick like a paste. It clogs blades horribly so I hope you have great water pressure for rinsing or you’ll spend more time cleaning your razor than shaving. The lubrication and glide is awful.

One pass and it’s done. I have a thick beard and this was a miserable shaving experience. It also left my skin very red, irritated and dry. I went back to my Clinique for Men shave cream and gave this to my wife to try on her legs but she also hated it and threw it out.

A premium product like this shouldn’t require a special dance, a secret hand shake or oil underneath to work. It should just work, and for me, this didn’t at all. If I had gotten this anywhere other than directly from Ursa Major I would have thought it was a fake product.

One dud out of the bunch isn’t bad though, overall Ursa Major makes many of my favorites and hopefully someday they’ll make a better shave cream. I gave one additional star for the scent.

I really wanted to like this, I have loved other UM products and their smells, but the smell of this product is so bad it’s almost intolerable. The scent reminds me of a really bad hotel room. It’s also not very moisturizing, so it’s just not a great experience to use altogether.

I think it was pretty expensive, too. You are better off just using a bar of soap honestly. Don’t buy.

I initially bought this shaving cream for my husband who uses it for his beard, neck and head. He absolutely loves how close of a shave he can get with it. It lasts a good amount of time and is at a decent price point.

I decided to try it out and am glad I did! I now use it for my legs, underarms and bikini. It’s very gentle and the results are amazing! I highly recommend it.

I don’t care for the scent of this product. It is personal scent memories that truly keep me from enjoying it. However, MANY other people love this scent, so that’s on me. The lather is good. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing, and compared to some other products I have that are similarly priced, I would say this is a second.

But the slickness is adequate, the cushion is adequate and protection is adequate. But WCS sells other products that I would recommend before this one.

I don’t want my shave cream to be as strong or lingering as a perfume of course, but this is barely detectable. It’s light enough that it defeats the purpose of getting a rose-scented product. The ToOBS Lavender strikes the perfect balance – it’s strong enough to enjoy while shaving, but light enough that it doesn’t overpower and certainly doesn’t linger on the skin.

I generally like a rose scent best, but I’ll be getting the lavender since it’s scented enough to make a real difference. More importantly for an overall shave cream though, it does a good job. In terms of how it makes my skin feel, I prefer non-lathering, moisturizing creams, but of course those gunk up my DE.

As foaming creams go, ToOBS is my favorite. Doesn’t leave my skin parched, easily makes a rich lather, and rinses cleanly from my razor. It’s a little spendier than some creams, but you get what you pay for.

I bought this for my husband after I got a tired smelling the irritating, cheap smell of another brand. My husband lathers a small portion on his face and massages it before shaving. Leaving a smooth, easy way to shave 4 o clock shadows.

Am a bleeder, and I’m waiting for the Red Cross blood mobile to be just outside my house. This has actually cut down on the bleeding, but also has decreased razor burn. That alone is impressive. It’s far more gentle, lathers well, and also has a pleasing aroma.

is the best. First off no alcohol, and plenty of aloe leads to less pain. Whether nicked or sensitive skin, this makes shaving far more pleasant. While I wish I didn’t have to shave my beard, work requires this, plus want the scalp smooth.

I’ve tried 12 different types of shaving cream in the past year, primarily for fun but also to find the best product possible. This Belvel cream is not it. And wow, is it expensive considering it doesn’t work well.

The product feels nice and smells great (citrus and spice), but as another reviewer mentioned, it just doesn’t lather very well. Even after using a brush and applying a liberal amount, the skin doesn’t feel coated and the razor doesn’t glide well.

Now, I use a Mach 3 razor and not a Bevel razor, but that shouldn’t matter. There are many other cheaper brands out there that do a better job. Check out Pacific Shave Company if you like this product’s smell – it has a similar scent but does an amazing job at lathering (one of the best products I’ve tried.

I have sensitive skin, and the Bevel shave cream has been working great. I was really impressed to read that the primary ingredient is organic aloe leaf juice. Their complete product line is designed to both help during the shaving process, and also result in healthier skin.

I really like the fragrance, and that it lathers up so well. It comes in a tube for minimal product and packaging waste. I can make sure the tube is completely empty before moving on to a new one. I’d been using a canned gel shave cream previously.

One of the challenges with just about any canned product, is that you have less control over usage. One press on the button causes a lot of product to be produced. With the Bevel shave cream, I can use as much or as little as I want.

Bought both the bevel brush and shaving cream. Terrible lather properties of the cream. The bottle lasted all of six shaves. Also, each time used resulted in multiple razor nicks (haven’t suffered these this I was a teenager).

I’ve gone back to using the Gillette foamy cream.

I have been shaving my head for 25 years. My face for even longer. I have used countless shave balms, foams, gels, etc. This is the ABSOLUTE BEST product I’ve used. I have been loyal to this product for 8-10 years now.

I have been watching it disappear from store shelves recently and could only get it through Neutrogena directly! I was beginning to panic at the thought of loosing my go too product!!!!! Leaves your skin feeling fresh and smooth!!.

This is the only shave cream I’ve used for years, it’s the only stuff that works for me, the “sensitive skin” variety was crap. First they discontinued their post-shave balm without any sort of announcement.

I was extremely disappointed when they did that; the balm was pretty much unanimously considered the best of its type by anyone who tried it, and my skin has suffered since they discontinued it several years back.

And now I can’t find this shave cream anywhere. If they’ve discontinued this, then I swear I will never buy another Neutrogena or J&J product in my life.

This is the first shaving cream I’ve actually ever used (I’ve dry shaved with an electric razor for the majority of my adult life. What the hell was I thinking. ). I really like Neutrogena’s products because they seem to work really well, and this is no exception.

Please take what I’m saying with a block of salt. As mentioned, I’ve not compared this with other shaving creams because I haven’t been using them. That being said, I still get a close shave with my new electric razor (which allows me to use wet and with shaving cream [hallelujah]), and I have minimal irritation.

If you have sensitive skin and are looking for something that won’t irritate you or create razor bumps Clinique for men is the go-to shave cream. At first i was on the fence about the product as i thought he brand was only for women but then i thought if women love it how can bad can the men product line be.

well now this is all i use for shaving as it leaves my skin very smooth cool and much softer after shaving. I am very picky when it comes to shaving cream as i dont like my face burning after a shave or itchy due to razor bumps this cream is amazing and i highly recommend it.

I love Cream Shave. I really do, but I’ve stopped using it ever since they changed the packaging from the old conventional toothpaste tube style to the nearly unusable short, fat stubby thing they sell today.

I had used Clinique continuously since it first came on the market, so they’ve lost another loyal customer. I have two main gripes about the “new” tube. First, it’s nearly impossible to squeeze out the last twenty percent of the contents because the tube is very stout at the neck and the tube top and, unlike the old screw off top, snaps off (and it’s hard to snap-the top is just not meant to be removed to squeeze the tube top).

This top, coupled with the fat, stiff new shape of the top, makes it significantly more difficult to force out the last part of the tube contents-more irritating effort than is worth it. Second, as has been well stated buy another reviewer, the new stubby shape is harder to grab in the shower, harder to manipulate with one hand and harder to squeeze out a usable portion.

I’ll add that I don’t think the new shape packs well into a conventional men’s dopp style toilet kit. The old tube was easy to use, easy to squeeze, easy to pack and easier to completely empty. Why they changed from the old tube to the new one is beyond me-it certainly did not result in a “better” package.

So join me with the other reviewer critical of the package. A competing company with the blue tube still has the terrific old style conventional tube package for its shave cream, and that’s where I’ve moved.

The shave cream is not as good as Clinique’s, but the package is way better, so much so that I’ve actually considered trying to find a way to put the Clinique contents into the competitor’s empty tube.

I have been using Clinique for Men exclusively for over 16 years. Every fragrance free paraben free product is worth the price. It is an investment in self-care. This cream shave is best in class. No nicks.

Neutrogena Men Sensitive Skin Shave Cream works excellent. It’s a non-foaming/non-lathering cream that the user applies to the area being shaved and shaves away. It rinses clean, doesn’t clog the razor, and doesn’t make the edge of the razor hover so high above the skin that the user must choose between a close or irritation-free shave (though one _can_ experience irritation with enough effort and a can-do spirit…).

The non-foaming/non-lathering means one can’t use it as a moisture trap the way one might with soaps or creams that require whipping from a brush, but one also doesn’t chase down the right amount of tallow or glycerine if hard water is a concern.

It’s also much quicker to apply and wash off and that’s great. It’s awesome, works _much_ better and faster than the lather I was whipping from bar soap, and is simply handy. If one’s final pass when shaving is the much-feared against-the-grain pass, this shaving cream is the enabler the sinful user has sought.

Nivea Men’s products, for me, always perform way above their cost. The new shave cream is no exception. I used it without a brush and got a gentle, non-irritating shave. (I used a Dorco Pace 3 razor with a six day old blade.

) I followed it up with the Nivea’s sensitive shave balm. This is a great combination with two products that cost less than a total of $10. At times I use Clinique shave gel and Clinique’s Post Shave Soother.

These are also terrific products, but their combined cost is $43. Nivea is a great way to get a terrific shave, with change left in your pocket.

I use this with a barely wet badger brush. This helps to penetrate the beard and bring cream in closer contact with the skin. In terms of lubrication, glide and residual slickness this cream is as good as any out there and I’ve tried over a hundred.

My only two reservations are a lack of any detectable fragrance and the fact that it is so thin and in a pump means that it will probably not last as long as a firmer soap. BTW, the post-shave is also as moisturizing as any product out there.

I paid for this entirely myself.

For the price, this is great. Creates a decent lather with minimal product, so the bottle should last a long time. I’m two shaves into using it to shave my head, after switching from Cremo, and have no major complaints.

It’s not quite as smooth-feeling while shaving but the end result seems to be the same or better. Also have sensitive skin and haven’t had any weird issues or breakouts.

My husband was super exciting when we received this product, thanks to Topbox circle for sending it to us in exchange for our honest opinion. He felt when using this product he was left with a nice smooth shave and he had no redness after.

But full warning a little goes a long way, the first time he used it he had way too much so it was definitely a learning experience. It spreads well and really is easy to use, the smell is also very nice and lasts on the skin.

This is one of the absolute best shaving creams I have ever used. I apply it differently than suggested on the tube. I make sure my face is wet and then I apply in sections. When all done applying, I rub my hands under water to lather up some and then rub that over my face to lather it up some.

I also use fairly hot water to rinse the blade as shaving cream can be a little difficult to clean from the blades. My face is very shave sensitive, but the camphor and menthol make this so much easier.

I have less nicks and cuts with this shaving cream and don’t feel my face is being excessively dried out or overly sensitive when finished. Of note however, my experience with Kiehl’s Customer Service has been awful.

Most online customer service takes approximately 30 minutes with all of the waiting and they essentially cannot give answers. Telephone customer service isn’t much better and they have awful attitudes.

I saw this shaving cream mentioned in ELLE DECOR magazine as one of designer Ken Fulk’s favorite products and decided to give it a try because I felt the product I was using was not that great. This does a really good job of removing the hair and rinses off well.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the menthol smell, but it’s not bothersome. You don’t need to use a lot, and if you get the big tube it will last a long time, and also be your best value. I have never been this pleased with a shaving cream.

I have tried all the shaving products at Ulta and this is the best! I have oily skin and can have issues with in grown hairs and razor burn. But not with Kiehl’s Brushless Shave Cream. Great scent and great close no nick shave.

My only suggestion is that Ulta start carrying this item in the stores. None of the stores in my south Florida area have this item. So I have to ship it. 🙁 Guys if you have a  tough beard and want to close shave use Kiehl’s.

For a long time I was using a shaving gel that didn’t come in a can. I shave in the shower so I don’t like cans cuz they rust. Gels were the only shaving products that came in pouches like this. Anyway, was surprised to see a shaving cream in a bottle/pouch instead of a fan and decided to give it a try.

Love it. Love that it goes on thicker than the gels. Love how the razor glides over my face. Love how smooth my skin is after I use it. Great shaving cream and great product!.

This was my first time using a non-foaming shaving cream. I like it very much. It doesn’t get foamy, but it turns a white color so I can see where I have shaved and still need to shave. My razor glides over it super smoothly, I get a very nice close shave, and I have not had any issues with nicks or razor bumps.

I’m not sure if it has a fragrance, if it does it’s a very soft scent, I can’t smell it at all. It leaves my face feeling soft and clean and super smooth. I will absolutely but it in the future and recommend it to anyone who shaves their facial hair.

I am a man who hates shaving, due to irritation from razors and in all honesty, I was not expecting much from this product. I have used many other products that claim to prevent shaving irritation and found them all to be useless, however Schick Hydro Skin Comfort Shave Cream is totally different From the first use I noticed a huge difference in my shaving experience.

The product applies easily and the razor was able to move smoothly. I have experienced no Knicks or cuts when using this product, which really surprised me as I am usually prone to cutting myself when shaving.

The product left my skin feeling smooth and soft, and amazingly I really didn’t get a shaving rash. This is the first time in a long time that I had this experience from a wet shave. I really do recommend this product and will purchase for myself and my teenage sons in the future.

I use an electric razor(wet/dry) and I really like the product. It makes shaving very easy wilt little to razor razor irritation. The only problem with preventing a 5 was the delivery system. If you are not careful when you push to release the gel from the container you will get enough gel for five+ shaves.

Fantastic product. It is smooth with no irritation. The only user experience problem is the dispenser. Every time I depress the button on top for the first time, it dispenses about two-weeks worth of gel.

Can you fix that problem?.

Ok I just want everyone to know that I used the Distillers Blend, 508 Heritage and the Original Cremo shave cream with a bowl and brush and it is AMAZING! I know Cremo says to apply using fingers/hands, but this works soo much better with bowl and brush.

If you have used this before and had problems with its coverage and it’s drying up fast, use it with a bowl and brush because I swear it is on another level. You use the same amount as you would with fingers.

Just put it in a warm bowl and leave just a tad bit more water in your brush than you would normally and lather that cream up. It lathers quick and thick and slick. Also re application is a breeze and it does not dry out before your passes are finished.

Just drip a small amount of water either to the bowl or on your brush before each new application to “cream” it up again. Cremo this works so much better than using your fingers and hands. Please add to the packaging that this can also be used with brush and bowl, because honestly it works better than the way you direct the customers to use it.

Five years ago, quite by accident, I found myself doing what turned out to be a comparison of 5-6 different shaving cremes. “Accident” because I had decided to abandon the department store “gray tubes” for something that didn’t clog my bathroom sink drain, but would hopefully equal or exceed the quality and feel of the shave I experienced.

I found myself mentally evaluating what turned out to be several shave product criteria: 1. Ease of application and coverage; 2) Amount required to achieve that coverage; 3. Quality/ smoothness of the shave; 3) Rinse removal of the creme off of my blade; 4) How well it washed down my sink and how much soap film/scum remained in my sink.

I enjoyed the feel and scents of several brands, but they all failed miserably in one or more of those criteria that I began to take note of while I used them. The clear winner was Cremo shave cremes.

Now to this review of Palo Santo: Up until now, I used the “Original” formula and the “Citrus/Sage” scent back and forth for variety each day per week. In my most recent replenishment order, I decided to add one tube of the Reserve Collection 18 Palo Santo in the classy black tube.

“Once in a while”, several hours after I shave – sometimes at the end of the day – I get a whiff of the shave creme I used that day. it “lasts”. The Palo Santo has an incredible scent and seems to last longer.

I was sweating-up a storm working hard at my father’s house the other day. At different times upto and through the 4:00 p. m. hour when I stopped working, I got brief whiffs of that incredible Palo Santo scent.

nice. All Cremo shave products truly give you the “90 Days” of shaves they print on the tube, and I know I’ll get the same from the Palo Santo, so the fact that it costs just $1. 00 more per tube than the other shave cremes – when spread across 90 Days – is moot and well worth it.

If I recall correctly, I get an e-mail from Cremo once in a while asking me to review my recent purchase. This time I am not waiting for the e-mail – this Palo Santo is THAT good, and I give it six stars out of five.

I’ve been a Cremo user for about 8 years now, having switched from a much more expensive brand. I love the product and was pleased to find this Reserve option last time I shopped for it. It offers a slightly better shave than the regular formula, and my face is smoother afterwards–I also find I can shave closer with it, which surprised me.

I couldn’t imagine much improvement over the original formula. But it is. That said, the scent stays with me all day, and it’s not pleasant for the long term. I can’t get away from it, no matter how much I wash my face afterward.

I see from the website that there is another scent. I’ll try that and provide a review.

I absolutely love Duke Cannon products, especially the aftershave balm, so I thought I’d try the shaving cream. It provided incredible slickness and glide, and my face almost felt like I had applied moisturizer to it when I was done shaving, but the lather itself was a bit lacking.

There are no instructions on the tube or the website, although the video on YouTube does specify that this cream is meant for a brush. As a traditional wet shaver, I was hoping for a richer lather that would remain stable.

And it’s worth noting that this cream does not smell much like the Accomplishment bar soap, even though it says so on the tube. But if this product were reformulated to have a richer, stable lather and a scent that matched the Accomplishment soap (or even a more popular scent like Bourbon or Naval Supremacy), it would be the only cream I ever shaved with.

Well I just used the duke cannon shaving cream and I have to say that I’m thoroughly disappointed! It doesn’t smell like anything at all and it definitely doesn’t “smell like accomplishment. ” It doesn’t lather well at all and it left my skin feeling dry and almost irritated.

It doesn’t say to use it on wet or dry skin so I went with the wet skin method. I was half done and the other side of my face had no sign of shaving cream left on it. I had to reapply it to half of my face! It’s definitely not worth the money they’re asking for.

I’ll just stick with my $1. 25 barbasol shaving cream from now on.

This is an excellent product. It does a terrific job of lubricating and protecting from nicks. I gave it 4 of 5 stars because it needs much more scent and perhaps more menthol or eucalyptus. It is an outstanding cream, but there are many other brands out there that are equally effective with a more interesting scent and feel.

If you like a mild scent (or no scent), give this a try.
