20 Best Shampoo For Oily And Thin Hair (2023 Updated)

This shampoo is fantastic. For years I suffered from scalp acne, dandruff, oily hair, itchy scalp. I changed shampoos multiple times, and it did no good. It was so bad I was losing my hair and started getting big bald patches.

In desperation to get rid of the painful acne, I started using acne face cleanser on my hair. It dried out my hair and scalp something awful. I tried using benzoil perxocide on my scalp, and that didn’t work.

I tried using prescription strength antibacterial ointment. While that helped with the acne, I had to wash my hair with DAWN dish detergent because it was that greasy. By chance I found your shampoo on Amazon and figured I had nothing to lose.

Within a week, all the acne cleared away. My scalp stopped itching. After a few more weeks of using this shampoo, my hair started growing back. No more bald patches. No more painful acne! No more flakes.

No more itchy scalp. At one point, I ran out of this shampoo and I didn’t have much money, so I bought a bottle of shampoo from the store. I broke out immediately all over again. I realized I cannot go without this shampoo.

I have had a problem with itchy scalp for the last 3 years. The doctors have said it was allergy and just to take benadryl or zyrtec. One day I read about Maple Holistics and especially about the tea tree shampoo.

If I go without shampoo my hair after the 2 day, then I do start to feel it come back. But I just wash my hair the next day and it is gone. My scalp feels smooth and does not have areas of irritation.

I will have to use this for the rest of my life. I do not like to take allergy pills or any kind of medicine to solve problems. I believe that the itchiness was due to a dirty scalp full of bacteria.

The tea tree oil leaves my head so clean. I highly recommend this shampoo to everyone.

My hair smells AMAZING with this product. It leaves my hair shiny and feeling clean. With that said the only down fall of this product is it leaves my hair feeling really clingy and tangled especially in the back of my head.

Brushing my hair after taking a shower was an absolute nightmare before I purchased a wet brush to help with that. I have very thick straight hair and I like to brush my hair after I am done in the shower.

It is just my routine. not having a wet brush could result in you taking out a lot of hair but I have found that not a lot of my hair gets pulled put. just the usual normal amount because it is NORMAL for hair to come out on your brush when brushing.

All in all even with the downside of it feeling really tangled after washing I am still using this product because I really like it. I hope they never change the formula because it has taken me so long to find a product that actually works on my hair – not for just a month but for months!!!.

I have had build up all my life. It never looked clean or washed. I grew up on a farm with hard water, have very thick blonde hair, and have tried everything to get rid of build up. With the combination of this shampoo and moving into town with soft water, it finally started working.

I got my hair washed professionally a week before the Pandemic shut everything down. I was super nervous about how I was going to last because I had been getting it professionally washed for 10+ years every two weeks.

But it finally kicked in and my hair has never felt or looked better and I can now wear it down and long without feeling embarrassed. This is now the only shampoo I use and I wash my hair twice a week.

I also use it was a Biolage conditioner. I’ve never been happier with a hair care product.

I have tried so many different clarifying shampoos over the years. I have fine, thin, long hi-lighted blonde hair. I use 2 different leave in products for strengthening/conditioning/heat protectant. My hair gets oily at the end of every day no matter what I use.

This shampoo makes my hair feel so much better! So clean, smells good and doesn’t tangle my hair like others do! I’ve purchased this one SO many times and will continue to do so! I would recommend this 1,000x’s! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.

So admittedly I haven’t had a lot of definable results. I got 2 sachets of the shampooing mask 2 in 1, and a small bottle of the shampoo with nettle, as a gift to try them out. Now with both products I tried to follow the instructions on the packages.

To start off the small bottle of shampoo with nettle unfortunately wasn’t really enough to do a while lot of anything to my hair. It didn’t lather very well so 95% of my hair was completely untouched by the shampoo despite all my attempts to spread it out.

I really dont think this was make for thick hair. Maybe it would work better for thin hair? Needless to say I didn’t really feel any results after washing it out and when it dried I had to wash it all over again.

Now i did get more results from the shampooing mask. That one at least by combining powder from both packets along with water did actually get most all of my hair. Now doing that mask in the shower was a pain in the butt! And was a bit of a mess.

But I did see a little bit of difference in the oiliness of my hair. Not really a whole lot but I imagine longer usage would see better results. So overall I’m a little on the fence about both of these products.

I’m not 100% if I would recommend this to my friends, family or followers. Honestly I just didn’t get enough of this to give a accurate try.

I don’t suffer from oily hair. But i was super excited to try this new shampoo products. I have never heard about nettle before. After googling find out it look exactly like mint and has strong minty smell.

It is really helpful to treating lots of hair concerns including hair loss and dandruff. This shampoo went really foamy after applying it on my wet hair. Smells refreshing and amazing. I can feel like a minty feeling on scalp.

This leaves my hair so soft and I felt like my scalp is cleaner. I would use this shampoo once a week for giving my hair perfect clean.

This is a miracle shampoo! When used with the conditioner I was amazed and I mean completely IMPRESSED by the results in such short time. Having damaged my hair (chemical cut😭) on a portion of my right side of my head I am so tired of wearing my hair up or half up because it’s so darn noticable but my moms bathroom has this shampoo and since we had visitors staying in my bedroom using my bathroom I began using this product and and so glad because in just a weeks time SERIOUSLY JUST A WEEK! I SAW A SLIGHT YET DRASTIC difference in the length of that section of my hair.

Love this shampoo! My neighbor recommended this and I couldn’t be happier! My husband and I had been spending seventy dollars a month on another product but this beats it hands down. It takes at least three washings before you see a significant difference in the amount of difference.

Also, there is no garlicky smell. I think anyone who purchases this will be happy they did!.

Love this! Smells amazing and isn’t drying on the hair. Great size for sharing with family! And you don’t need to use much for lathering. I use a small amount in my palm and it is definitely is successfully in cleansing.

I am using this shampoo for few months now, it cleans your hair very well, my hair is squicky clean and kind of dry after wash so you need to use conditioner after it. It has pretty good ingredients and has this minty cooling effect on your skin.

I have oily scalp so this removes oils and dirt very well and my hair stays clean longer, I also use once a week the hair scrub from same line and hair mask that hydrates and nurtures hair. However none of these products helped me with my hair loss problem so far.

I was so excited to try this shampoo since I have heard some good things about it. However, it made my hair oily so quickly! I cannot skip a day without it already getting greasy. My scalp itches after using it and the smell does not stay on at all 🙁 what a waste of money.

Not a fan of this shampoo. I bought this because I deal with dandruff during the winter time. It does help a little with my dandruff but not completely. I’ve also noticed the shampoo is a bit more drying on my scalp and hair.

It strips my natural oils more than the other shampoo I’ve purchased from this site. The amount of hair that falls out seems to have increased as well. And I started getting a rash on the back of my neck which I’ve never experienced this in all my life.

I have to put cortizone to stop the itching and let it slowly go away which takes 1 week or longer. Then a few weeks later it will come back on the same spot. The only thing I changed was my shampoo which was this one.

Wont be using this shampoo again.

Toxicity alert! I was under the impression that these products were natural, but there’s plastic in all three formulas. My hair has started falling out as soon I started using them. This chemical is banned in the EU & it’s a strongly suspected carcinogen.

I’d like to request a refund, these are going in the trash. Also ugly branding & crooked typesetting & typos on the bottle, I suspect this is a Chinese company.

My first impression of the Luseta Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo wasn’t that great. It is a very thin almost watery product, very different from other shampoos I have used before. It comes with a pump top for easy shower use which I really like.

Because of the product consistancy I was thrown off by how much of it I should use. With these pump style bottles I typically use 2 pumps for my length of hair, but with this one i found i was using 3 1/2.

The scent is great, a nice subtle apple that isn’t over powering or artificially fruity. This is a paraben and sulfate free shampoo and like other shampoos in this catagory it doesn’t foam up like run of the mill shampoos on the store shelf.

Overall, after using this product for the past month I have really liked it!.

This shampoo made a huge difference for me. I went through brand after brand, from drug store to high end & nothing seemed to help. My hair was always greasy within hours & that didn’t help with my hair loss it only contributed to it.

So I read about this shampoo & decided to give it a try. I haven’t gone back to anything else since. It’s worth every penny, I can go a few days between washes & this combined with the dry shampoo from this brand (I only use the dry shampoo once in a while when needed) is a golden combo.

I’ve never seen a dry shampoo work better than this brand’s either. The shampoo smell doesn’t bother me one bit but that’s a personal preference thing, it’s minty & doesn’t seem to linger afterwards.

If you struggle with greasy hair I’d consider giving this a shot, it just might workout for you, especially if you’ve tried a million other different things like me. I also don’t have any issues with lathering or anything so I can’t comment on that, it lathers really well for me & washes out really good without drying out my hair.

My hair is fine and thin, so after one day it generates a lot of oil. With this product my hair looked almost freshly washed and smelled clean too!. This has been the only dry shampoo that does not leave any type of white residue on your hair and it does not weigh your hair down.

It is quite hard to wash out but if you’re looking for a product that gives you two days of clean hair this is good. But we have to remember about one thing. All dry shampoos are not good for everyday use as they are not good for the scalp skin.

We have to use them only from time to time when we have special occasion and we cannot clean our hair normally.

I really enjoyed using this particular dry shampoo. I have extremely oily hair and usually need to use dry shampoo on day 2/3. I used this product on day 2 and woke up day 3 and didn’t need to wash my hair.

So in all I used the product once and got two extra days out of my hair! I have bronde hair so the product blended well into my hair, it did dull the colour a bit but that is always expected from a dry shampoo.

A big bonus was that the product didn’t cause my scalp to dry out or cause irritation – which was honestly surprising since it worked so well in soaking up the oil. The only issue I experienced was having to shampoo a bot more in the shower to get rid of the residue, but that’s only because it obviously worked very well in soaking up the oil and holding the hair.

Otherwise I will absolutely purchase this product again, great bang for your buck, gives you two days extra hold and cleanliness. A great product for people on the go!.
